Introducing 42Lolita
Have you heard of 42Lolita? 42Lolita is the official Lolita shop of 42agent. I’ve been a loyal customer of 42agent since 2013 (back in their Taobaoring days!). You may have seen my blog posts about Taobao shopping (here: post 1, post 2, and post 3). Lots of great Lolita indie brands are on Taobao, and 42Lolita makes it even easier to snag cute clothes and accessories. If you’d like to shop there,…

Plus Size Lolita options
As a plus size/tall lolita here are some places that I know of/have ordered from/a friend has ordered from that offers plus, or custom size options! Since Plus does vary, these won’t work for everyone unfortunately, but here are some options, mostly indie!
Don’t see your brand/a brand you know on the list? Feel free to add it, or send me a message with a link and a review and I’ll add it!
Japanese Brands:
https://www.metamorphose.gr.jp/product/pickup/1031 Metamorphose they have a Plus Size Section, and have recently been releasing some items in plus size(up to 130cm bust). Would have to wear an underskirt though for some items
https://angelicpretty-onlineshop.com/product-category/original-print-series/ Angelic Pretty has recently rereleased a Made to Order of Honey Cake in plus size version. Some of their items stretch pretty well, but of course you(and I) would have to wear an underskirt with them.
https://atelier-pierrot.shop-pro.jp/?mode=cate&cbid=1807094&csid=0&sort=n&page=1 Enchantillic Enchantilly. I own their Queen Cat Skirt. The shirring does stretch, but it will definitely take a couple of wears before I’d call it “comfortable” if you’re at the top of the measurements because just like my waist, that elastic is Thicc lol.
https://atelier-pierrot.shop-pro.jp/?mode=cate&cbid=2290076&csid=0&sort=n Triple Fortune. Their dresses are beautiful and fit various sizes; most of their skirts are fully shirred, and the same for their dresses. If you have a big bust you may have an odd fit on the OPs, but I’ve seen them on various body shapes and they’re pretty universally flattering!
https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/fleur/brands/physicaldrop Physical Drop is a plus size Lolita brand. Apparently the designer is herself plus size which is also a …plus lol.
https://babyssb.shop/ Their shirring princess jsk goes up to 110 cm in the waist and bust, possibly more apparently! Also has adjustable straps so it will sit right on taller/bigger bust folks! They have some fully shirred waist skirts as well, but will have to wear an underskirt with em.
Indie Brand:
https://ladyslothshop.com/ offers custom sizing on blouses, underskirts, dresses, and skirts, their standard sizes will be going up to 5X for their next release, straps are adjustable so it will sit properly on tall folks!(I’ve ordered from here multiple times, and they’re very experienced making plus size, I’m also 5″9, and their standard size 3xl fits me perfectly and comfortably.)
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/spookysparkleparty Spooky Sparkle Party goes up to 3xl and sells dresses, skirts, as well as some casual and swimwear. I currently have an order from SSP coming soon, so I can give more information soon, but I personally know folks larger than me who have ordered and all is well! The owner is a plus sized person as well, so knows The Struggle, so it’s possible they may make larger sizes on request maybe? Offers payment plans as well if I recall correctly!
https://www.facebook.com/Glittertalelolita/ Glitter Tale offers fully custom dresses, blouses, etc. They’ve got very favourable reviews, and I’m planning on ordering from them in the future. :)
https://lnsears.storenvy.com/ Long Ears and Sharp Ears offers custom sizing on items during the preorder period. I haven’t ordered from them personally however!
https://www.violetfaneshop.com/ Violet Fane offers some items up to 130cm bust, 110cm waist. I have their Lovely Town series skirt, it’s a bit uncomfy in the waist, but I’m at the max measurement so definitely keep that in mind.
http://www.elegyclothing.com/c-o-l-l-e-c-t-i-o-n-s Elegy offers custom sizing on dresses and skirts. Also offers payment plans! Am currently waffling on whether I want their Book of Shadows print.
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Dollbe?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=555640786 Dollbe. They go up to 6XL!! And you can see their items on actually plus sized models as well!
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/EatMeInkMe EatMeInkMe offers custom sizing on most dresses and skirts, and plus size options that go up to a 120cm bust.
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Peacockalorum Offers plus and custom size blouses, overskirts, underskirts, and other accessories such as petticoats!
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JoyAmaranthine Offers plus and custom orders for skirts and a couple of JSKs up to 5XL!
http://hopeygal.storenvy.com/?fbclid=IwAR2PyOga0cdlzUPqjdjvChLLSDoKeBiRz-dWDf8XMhI50jAbpRYEj1Mz6Iw Tulutulu Lolita (they’re a Taobao brand but have their own Storenvy storefront!) Plus size JSKs up to 3XL(130 cm bust), plus size petticoats!
Taobao/Chinese Brands(you can either find them on taobao and order with a shopping service like TaobaoRing, Spreenow, etc, or order through a service like Lolita Wardrobe or Devil Inspired)
Miss Point- offers custom sizing on skirts and dresses. Haven’t ordered from them yet, but plan to in the future.
Hinana Queena- Offers custom sizing on preorders for dresses/skirts. Their quality is amazing, I absolutely recommend them.
Strawberry Witch- Offers custom sizing on dresses, and is very affordable! A friend of mine has ordered from them and they had a great experience!
Souffle Song- Offers custom sizing on some releases. I’ve heard mixed reviews on them lately, but most of them are good!
Elsewhere:
https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/search?q[auction_status]=active&q[sizing_notes][]=Plus-Size%20Friendly Lace Market. Great for buying second hand, and you can sometimes find professionally altered brand pieces. Though a bitch(me) isn’t gonna lie and say that sometimes it’s not infuriating to click on something and see it’s listed as plus size friendly and it goes up to a max 98 cm bust.
https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/fleur/genres/plus-size Wunderwelt has a plus size section, and if you’re looking for specific pieces that are plus size friendly you can search by brand as well. :)

Ye Luo Li/Night Lolita doll box opening and review!
Sorry it's a long post but i'm on mobile and i can't seem to put it under a cut.
So recently i remembered that these dolls exist and decided to get one to make Delphinium 2.0 since i decided i don't really like the azone much after all. I used a shopping service to order direct from their Taobao since they were having a sale. The doll itself was on sale for about $27. I think the normal price is around $50.
Tumblr media
I was surprised by how big the box was but i guess she is MSD size. Inside the first box was another box that seems to be the doll company's box. Why the service didn't just send it like that is beyond me but at least they were nice enough to upgrade my shipping at no cost.
Tumblr media
The doll's box is very pretty and she was secured well inside. The little bag had hair accessories, a comb, and eyelashes inside. It was a nice little gift to receive!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The clothes are actually really nice quality for the price, mimus the velcro of the coat being a bit loose. The wig is also very nice and soft. It's just like any other wig i'd buy for my bjds.
She also came with a second dress, little rubber shoes, and a bow that i'm unsure if it's for her or the owner but it would be a great alice bow for a doll her size. I had a picture but there's a 10 picture limit lol.
Tumblr media
The "passport" appears to be like a CoA and i was also given a catalog for other items.
Tumblr media
Here we have a close up of her face. It's painted really neatly and it's very nice. I will be wiping it tho.
Her body is a mix of materials kind of like an obitsu. Her head, hands, feet, and torso are soft vinyl. Her arms and legs are a hard plastic.
She has hinge joints and can pose pretty well. She can't touch her face but she can get pretty close. She can touch her head.
Tumblr media
She can't sit on her knees but she can get down on them like a smartdoll. She can lean forward a bit and back quite a lot. She can also point her toes. She can't hug her knees but she can sit with them bent unassisted. She can raise her arms and legs to the side quite a bit. Not shown, but her elbows and knees can twist for more poses. Her wrists can twist as well but it isn't quite as easy and i feel like you should be gentle with that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is inside her torso and inside her head. Her eyes seem to be glued in so that'll be obnoxious to remove later.
Tumblr media
Overall she's very nice! I like her a lot and i think she'll be much better for Delphium. I decided i will paint her since last time the vinyl began to.. I don't know if it was fading or absorbing weird but the color is not staying. So i will use angelus paint. Which is for the best anyway considering she is made of two materials that definitely would not dye the same way.
Hope this helps anyone looking into these dolls.
As for the shopping service i used taobaoring. They were very fast, friendly, and professional. However, i didn't like that they charge a fee for using paypal.
Thanks for looking!

do you have any recommendations for shopping online? i have a really hard time using japanese sites or telling which are good and which need proxies, etc.
yes! though it depends on what you’re looking for, and where.
here are some of the proxies i like/recommend:
Japanese Proxy Services
whiterabbitexpress (slow, but will purchase from some sites others wont)
buyee (a personal favorite, easy to use and you can shop from sites like y!auction right on it. it is part of tenso, which you can use independently)
fromjapan (another personal fave, they will occasionally do in person shopping)
i have also used japonica, but they’re a bit more “old fashioned” now.
Chinese/Etc.
superbuy (have not used, but they are apparently good)
taobaoring (i like them specifically for taobao)
tiptrans (really great, they do china and europe, and have good customer service)
and as for websites:
y!auction*
suruguya*
rakuten*
ofudaimports
amiami (this is great for preorders, it is not 2nd hand)
for the asterisk ones, you need to make sure your search terms are in japanese characters, for the most part. sites like taobao, you will need to use chinese. chinese is what i used to find the d4 charms, on what is essentially a chinese mercari. a good one to have onhand or know is “おもちゃ” which is toy, and how many anime things will be categorized
@roymaes has a great list of sites to use here which has some of these sites and some others. once i get the time i’ll make a how-to post of how i found the d4 sets and the search terms i used.

Hey So I was wondering, since it's been a while since I've bought from taobao myself, which shopping services are still good to use? 😊 Thanks 😘
Hey :)
I haven’t used TaoBao for a while (I heard you need an account to search for stuff now) but when I did I used TaoBaoRing as shopping Service :)

if you wanna find spreepicky or syndrome store stuff at a cheaper rate and other sellers you can use bhiner (they have sides for cosplay and lolita) or reverse image search on the website (look up how) with the camera icon. use taobaoring or similar to ship the stuff.
Ty :^0!

Have you used taobao agents? If so, which one is best in in terms of both fees and service? I've had experience here the agent charges 10% fee and totally bad at packaging.
TaobaoTrends, Spreenow, or TaobaoRing are the most well known. There is always a fee, and that fee it’s always about %10. Sorry to bring you the bad news, but that’s the way they usually work. About packagingand things like that, I wouldn’t be able to tell you “who is better” (or worst) with absolute certainty since they might be delivering a “hit and miss” service when it comes to wrapping a package and “what you consider to be a good packaging”. Hope you find this information useful.

For the anon wanting the reaper plush and other people wanting to use Taobao: I suggest using taobaoring. You can't buy things DIRECTLY from the sellers but you can buy them from third parties who will buy from the site and send to you. They take a comish but Taobaoring is pretty low and I've had a fantastic success rate with them. (also careful who you buy from, each taobao shop has a rating by their name, I'd advise against buying from anyone below diamond)
👌🏼

So once upon a time I was kinda a doof and lost my past entries on here...
when WordPress updated, I didn’t back up my posts so I lost the content on here. Luckily, I crossposted on my Tumblr, which is now sthenoc.tumblr.com. Oddly, the images are still available when you click on them but the posts? *shrugs* I’ve looked into it but nothing I’ve come across gives a solution so all I can do is just point to where those past entries are.
Anime North 2014
Taobao/Taobaoring review
-This covers Little Dipper’s Starry Sky OP in black, Strawberry Witch Type A OP in Navy, a small-ass blouse I no longer have, an Agents of SHIELD tee I suggest not buying years later. All or most of the letters have fallen off but it was cheap. There’s also 3 pairs of false nails (now dead links), star hair clips, a ciciwork/sweetdreamer headband, really nice patterned white pantyhouse and a pagoda style parasol I now need to replace. Not bad for 4 years of use.
Most are dead links so if anyone is interested in an item, let me know and I’ll dig up or try to dig up a new link or at least the shop, if not a similar item.
So once upon a time I was kinda a doof and lost my past entries on here… was originally published on Stheno

I am STILL waiting on my Gyoha head! People have been listing them on DoA for a month already! ANYWAY, my creature thing arrived at the Taobao agent and I received my pictures. Everything looked okay, so I paid for shipping. Once they ship my resin awesomeness, it should be here in about a week or so. So far, my Taobao agent experience seems to be going well! I will probably use Taobaotrends again in the future. I like that they charge one flat fee instead of several and they also offer more shipping methods than Taobaoring. *shuffles off grumbling about Gyoha*
Check out this post on my website: http://www.dedeko.me/blog/still-waiting.

My most recent Taobao order might have gotten lost in the mail, my shopping service is being a huge help with trying to figure things out and either get the package found or a refund issued by the postal service.  Honestly TaobaoRing employees are gems, I adore them, they’re so kind and hardworking.
I’m really upset, but at least if I can get a refund issued  maybe I can reorder things.
