One team is down while another is back!
Day to Day with Tanash and Smiley The Third!
Sprinkles: Bark! Bark! (And on the other side, we see the Atlético Paranaense team, which this year was its centennial because the club was founded in 1924 and since this year was 2024, Tanash would have to visit the well where his team will play in the second division, then we see Smiley the Third flying away from the well, which is like Santos, who escaped from Serie B being champion in it and went to Serie A next year, even though he is a Santos fan!)

The Best Skincare Routines for Every Skin Type: A Guide to Finding Your Perfect Match
British Dsire: Your One-Stop Shop for a Personalized Skincare Routine!
Finding the right skincare routine can feel like a daunting task, especially with the countless products available on the market. However, with a little understanding of your skin type and the right products, you can create a personalized regimen that leaves your skin feeling healthy, radiant, and glowing.
Understanding Your Skin Type
The first step to building an effective skincare routine is to identify your skin type. There are four main skin types:
Oily: Skin that produces excess oil and often appears shiny.
Dry: Skin that lacks moisture and may feel tight or flaky.
Combination: Skin that is oily in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) but dry in other areas.
Sensitive: Skin that is easily irritated and may react to certain products.
Essential Skincare Steps
A basic skincare routine typically includes three essential steps: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.
1. Cleansing: This step removes dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin. Choose a cleanser that is gentle and suitable for your skin type. For oily skin, opt for a foaming or gel cleanser. Dry skin may benefit from a creamy cleanser, while combination skin can often benefit from a balancing cleanser.
4-Pcs Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush: This gentle brush removes dirt, oil, and impurities without irritating the skin. (Great for all skin types!)
2. Toning: Toning helps to restore the skin's pH balance and tighten pores. Look for a toner that is alcohol-free, as alcohol can be drying.
3. Moisturizing: Moisturizing is essential for keeping the skin hydrated and healthy. Choose a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type. For oily skin, opt for a lightweight moisturizer. Dry skin may require a richer cream, while combination skin can benefit from a moisturizer that is specifically formulated for this skin type.
Cetaphil Daily Defense Face Moisturizer SPF 50: This daily moisturizer provides hydration and broad-spectrum sun protection (SPF 50) for all skin types.
With Love Argan® Nourishing Day Serum: This lightweight serum infused with argan oil hydrates and nourishes the skin. (Great for normal to dry skin.)
Tanash Beauty Skin Repair Moisturizer: This rich moisturizer helps repair and restore dry, damaged skin.
Additional Skin Care Considerations
In addition to the basic steps, you may also want to consider incorporating the following products into your routine:
Exfoliator: Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother, brighter skin. However, be careful not to over-exfoliate, as this can irritate the skin.
Sunday Rain Body Scrub - Rose: This scrub with rose extracts helps remove dead skin cells, leaving your body feeling smooth and refreshed.
Sunscreen: Protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays is crucial for preventing premature aging and skin cancer. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day.
Serum: Serums are highly concentrated products that target specific skin concerns, such as wrinkles, dark spots, or acne.
Treatments:
Nanoil Vit-C Face Serum: This vitamin C serum brightens and evens skin tone while fighting signs of aging. (Great for normal to oily skin.)
LavyAnna Brighten Me 20 Vitamin C Illuminating Face Serum: Similar to the Nanoil serum, this option offers brightening and anti-aging benefits.
Foreo Supercharged Serum 2.0: This anti-aging serum works with a compatible FOREO device (not included) to deliver deeper hydration and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. (Great for mature skin.)
With Love Argan® Gentle Rosemary Argan Oil Soap: This soap gently cleanses while providing the nourishing benefits of argan oil. (Great for normal to dry skin.)
Masking:
Vegan Facial Mask: British Desire offers various vegan facial masks for different needs. Check the product description to find the perfect one for your skin type and concerns.
Nanoil Argan Hair Mask: This mask nourishes and repairs damaged hair while adding shine.
Lip Care:
Sigma Beauty Hydro-Melt Lip Mask - Hush: This hydrating lip mask helps to soften and smooth chapped lips.
Remember:
Identify your skin type: Choosing the right products starts with understanding your skin's needs.
Read the product descriptions: Each product page details the benefits and recommended skin types.
Build a routine: Start with the essentials (cleanse, moisturize, protect) and add targeted treatments based on your concerns.

I updated an old lot; Asaju rolled a want to ask Neema on a date so I sent them to the new diner on Pwani Island. Lucian arrived with an attitude … he is baby daddy number 3; Neema gave birth to his son not too long ago, but these two can’t seem to go along; they constantly argue, break-up and make-up. They are both cancers, but Neema is less forgiving than Lucian, she stays angry longer. I feel bad about this (not really, LOL!), because I pushed the relationship beyond the friendship boundary they had established on their own.
Now I know some of you are thinking, isn't Lucien married? I will have to fill in you on my next update.
Lucien is already in a pissy mood, and knuckle-head Quadir (Tanashes’ brother) decides to pick a fight with Lucian. Not a good idea; especially since he does not have the fight skills to win. Lucien will beat the breaks off him. There are women who could beat him up. I didn’t want to see him embarrassed so I removed Lucien from the lot. Beside I think they can be good friends. The reputation system in Sims 2 doesn’t make since to me. Sims receives a bad reputation because they gossip and have fewer than 5 nice points. The more they gossip the worse their reputations become. Other Sims (including so called friends and relatives) begin to pick on them because of the bad reputation which usually will lead to a fight. Thus Quadir felt justified attempting to put Lucien in his place.
Then we have Nadine … Nadine and Neema are BFF's, but there is some underlying anger … Neema once booty-called her husband (I had nothing to do with that … I was shocked and let it happen); Tanashe accepted the invitation but nothing happened when he arrived … he sat down to play a video game and ignored her. Nadine found out and has been very standoffish with Neema and regularly annoyed with her husband. I was wondering about the expression on her face and why she was staring; then I remembered! She had a brief affair with Asaju … well an affair by Sim standards … she kissed him while on the dance floor at Silk. I guess this was payback for the booty call. She was smart enough to leave her husband at home that night. Asaju is no longer interested in Nadine he only has eyes for Neema.
Asaju is about to become baby daddy number 4. They are in a committed relationship and he has rolled the want to get engaged. I just hope he can get her to the alter before the baby is born, (I've suspended her pregnancy to help him out) and there are no mishaps (like Lucian)

Kalyn Nicholson.

The Rifter Re-Read Notes: Chapters 78-82
Better late than never....and my notes are sparse but I’m not as into the John/Ravishan timeline this read-through.
Chapter 78
“He (John) hadn’t read anything in any Payshmura text about a Rifter controlling his power. There had been nothing but blind destruction in the old books. But then no previous Rifter had survived in Basawar for more than a few days.” Passages like this remind me of how unique John’s entire situation is. I got caught in the lull of Jath’ibaye’s life in the other timeline because he’s so settled and that’s how Kahili sees him (fun fact: I typed “Rahlil” at first because even my brain is all “same person”). All the Rifters before John never survived more than a few days, and John will go on to live there for what the reader assumes is FOREVER. The Payshmura texts had no reason to explain how a Rifter controlled their powers because there was no need. If the Rifter was calle,d it was for quick destruction and then when the demon had done the deed, it was time for death.
Chapter 79
“It seemed that power in Basawar always required bloodshed, whether it was Fai’daum witchcraft or Payshmura incantations.” It’s been discussed in chat that this series focuses on there being no good choices, only the one with less repercussions. Neither the Payshmura or Fai’daum are what the people of Basawar need, but they are the two forces that cause the most damage to the people. The fact that this always comes with blood is a fierce reminder and made me think of modern politics. While we do not always have bloodshed for beliefs (or not as commonly as Basawar), those with the most power have the scariest weapons.
Chapter 80 had no notes.
Chapter 81
“Some of the men complain. They want girls to be quiet and shy. She’s (Tanash) not like that.”  Here is another young woman character I LOVE. I had forgotten all about her too! This particular quote made me smile because Basawar needs more women like Tanash. And I love the idea of even fictional men being displeased that they can’t control a woman. I love it. I live for that displeasure.
“He didn’t even know the word ofr ‘gay’ in Basawar. Maybe there wasn’t one. Or if there was, it might not be a term he would care to use to describe himself or anyone he loved.” I think it’s very telling that John has never heard the word for homosexuality - my first thought was that there wasn’t a word. The word used would be part of a phrase like “in partaking in XYZ activities” or is it so taboo that there is no word? Surely there’s a word for the crime, like sodomy?
“The entire point of creating the issusha’im is to make them wrong, to undo the future they foresee.” This is another line that jumped out at me because it’s common sense, and I’ve never thought of oracles that way! Of course people try to stop their predictions in all stories, but there’s always the lingering thought that it might not matter. How Ji says it here, there’s always the chance to make the issusha’im wrong.
Chapter 82 had no notes.

Conversation
Mella: (standing in front of her trashed workbench) Who broke it. I'm not mad, I just want to know.
Annie: ...I did, I broke--
Mella: No, no you didn't. M.O.R.R.I.S?
M.O.R.R.I.S: Don't look at me. Look at Fae.
Fae: What? I didn't break it.
M.O.R.R.I.S: Huh, that's weird. Then how'd you even know it was broken?
Fae: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken!
M.O.R.R.I.S: Suspicious.
Fae: No, it's not!
Robert: If it matters, probably not, but Citrine was the last one to use it.
Citrine: Liar, I don't even use Mella's electronics!
Robert: Oh, really? Then what were you doing in her office earlier?
Citrine: I have to use her heavy-duty stapler to put together the fall catalog sample! Everyone knows that, Robert!
Annie: Okay, okay, let's not fight. I broke it, let me pay for it Mella.
Mella: No. Who broke it?
Fae: ... Mella, Tanashe's been awfully quiet.
Tanashe: REALLY?
-pandemonium-
Mella: I broke it. M.O.R.R.I.S startled me and I flipped it on accident.

Original Post from Amazon Security Author: Ashley Nelson
The first annual re:Inforce conference is one week away and with two full days of security, identity, and compliance learning ahead, I’m looking forward to the community building opportunities (such as Capture the Flag) and the hundreds of sessions that dive deep into how AWS services can help keep businesses secure in the cloud. The track offerings are built around four main topics (Governance, Risk & Compliance; Security Deep Dive; Security Pioneers; and The Foundation) and to help highlight each track, AWS security experts will headline four Leadership Sessions that cover the overall track structure and key takeaways from the conference.
Join one—or all—of these Leadership Sessions to hear AWS security experts discuss top cloud security trends. But I recommend reserving your spot now – seating is limited for these sessions. (See below for instructions on how to reserve a seat.)
Leadership Sessions at re:Inforce 2019
When you attend a Leadership Session, you’ll learn about AWS services and solutions from the folks who are responsible for them end-to-end. These hour-long sessions are presented by AWS security leads who are experts in their fields. The sessions also provide overall strategy and best practices for safeguarding your environments. See below for the list of Leadership Sessions offered at re:Inforce 2019.
Leadership Session: Security Deep Dive
Tuesday, Jun 25, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Speakers: Bill Reid (Sr Mgr, Security and Platform – AWS); Bill Shinn (Sr Principal, Office of the CISO – AWS)
In this session, Bill Reid, Senior Manager of Security Solutions Architects, and Bill Shinn, Senior Principal in the Office of the CISO, walk attendees through the ways in which security leadership and security best practices have evolved, with an emphasis on advanced tooling and features. Both speakers have provided frontline support on complex security and compliance questions posed by AWS customers; join them in this master class in cloud strategy and tactics.
Leadership Session: Foundational Security
Tuesday, Jun 25, 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM Speakers: Don “Beetle” Bailey (Sr Principal Security Engineer – AWS); Rohit Gupta (Global Segment Leader, Security – AWS); Philip “Fitz” Fitzsimons (Lead, Well-Architected – AWS); Corey Quinn (Cloud Economist – The Duckbill Group)
Senior Principal Security Engineer Don “Beetle” Bailey and Corey Quinn from the highly acclaimed “Last Week in AWS” newsletter present best practices, features, and security updates you may have missed in the AWS Cloud. With more than 1,000 service updates per year being released, having expert distillation of what’s relevant to your environment can accelerate your adoption of the cloud. As techniques for operationalizing cloud security, compliance, and identity remain a critical business need, this leadership session considers a strategic path forward for all levels of enterprises and users, from beginner to advanced.
Leadership Session: Aspirational Security
Wednesday, Jun 26, 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM Speaker: Eric Brandwine (VP/Distinguished Engineer – AWS)
How does the cloud foster innovation? Join Vice President and Distinguished Engineer Eric Brandwine as he details why there is no better time than now to be a pioneer in the AWS Cloud, discussing the changes that next-gen technologies such as quantum computing, machine learning, serverless, and IoT are expected to make to the digital and physical spaces over the next decade. Organizations within the large AWS customer base can take advantage of security features that would have been inaccessible even five years ago; Eric discusses customer use cases along with simple ways in which customers can realize tangible benefits around topics previously considered mere buzzwords.
Leadership Session: Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Wednesday, Jun 26, 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM Speakers: Chad Woolf (VP of Security – AWS); Rima Tanash (Security Engineer – AWS); Hart Rossman (Dir, Global Security Practice – AWS)
Vice President of Security Chad Woolf, Director of Global Security Practice Hart Rossman, and Security Engineer Rima Tanash explain how governance functionality can help ensure consistency in your compliance program. Some specific services covered are Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Macie, and AWS Security Hub. The speakers also discuss how customers leverage these services in conjunction with each other. Additional attention is paid to the concept of “elevated assurance,” including how it may transform the audit industry going forward. Finally, the speakers discuss how AWS secures its own environment, as well as talk about the control frameworks of specific compliance regulations.
How to reserve a seat
Unlike the Keynote session delivered by AWS CISO Steve Schmidt, you must reserve a seat for Leadership Sessions to guarantee entrance. Seats are limited, so put down that coffee, pause your podcast, and follow these steps to secure your spot.
Log into the re:Inforce Session Catalog with your registration credentials. (Not registered yet? Head to the Registration page and sign up.)
Select Event Catalog from the Dashboard.
Enter “Leadership Session” in the Keyword Search box and check the “Exact Match” box to filter your results.
Select the Scheduling Options dropdown to view the date and location of the session.
Select the plus mark to add it to your schedule.
And that’s it! Your seat is now reserved. While you’re at it, check out the other available sessions, chalk talks, workshops, builders sessions, and security jams taking place during the event. You can customize your schedule to focus on security topics most relevant to your role, or take the opportunity to explore something new. The session catalog is subject to change, so be sure to check back to see what’s been added. And if you have any questions, email the re:Inforce team at awsreinforce-support@amazon.com.
Hope to see you there!

Ben Simmons Trying to Build a House with These Bricks
Ben Simmons Trying to Build a House with These Bricks
A debate as old as his career: can Ben Simmons shoot? While his .000 3PT% says no, but his relationships with Tanashe and Kendall Jenner say maybe.
In college, Simmons’ jumpshot looked like it was a promising work in progress. A couple years in the NBA should develop him into a semi-reliable three point shooter. But now, in his third rookie season, Simmons is not only tied for the worst three…
