there has always been something about tanaka matheson. she had always been a special child. when she was nine years old, three years after the blackout, she left with her aunt rachel, away from her uncle ben and cousins, charlie & danny to find her way back to her father, a general of the monroe militia. she learnt the basic skills to survive, becoming one of the best swordsmen in the entire militia just after her father of course. she was still too young when she returned to miles to be apart of the army, but that did not stop ana from wanting to learn everything there was about fighting and how to become an amazing fighter like her daddy.

she learnt more about how to run and fight than simple maths. however, miles made sure that she was well educated when it became obvious she liked to travel with him when he WENT on long tours than to actually learn basic rules - eventually when ana was thirteen (13), miles made sure that ana stayed in school, which sometimes included him taking the men in the middle of the night so that he didn’t wake her and cause her to stowaway in the carriage.

season one of revolution plays out normally - just with the addition of a twenty year old ana being incredibly protective over miles and charlie.

life seemed to be going smoothly until one day she found a crack in the wall of an abandoned hospital they were squatting in. this crack in the wall caused her to fall into another universe. it was a crack in time and space - it should have SWALLOWED her whole and erased her from reality, but instead the crack spat her out on the other side, in a different universe, on a different planet, IN a different time.

she never really thought about the consequences of her absences back on the other side, miles was in hysterics that not even nora could calm him down from - he searched high and low for his daughter, only to come up empty six months down the road. she was considered K.I.A and miles was more ruthless than ever before.

ana had no idea where she ended up or HOW the hell she got there, but it was on that planet that she met a man called the doctor, a girl named amy pond and a woman called river song. they all seemed to know her rather well - it was explained that time travel was a funny thing. from there - she fell into one adventure that felt like it would never end, until abruptly it does. one of the - ALIENS, a weeping angel, snagged her around the wrist - but it didn’t kill her. they had been KILLING PEOPLE all day, snapping necks instead of feeding on their life energy, at least that’s what the doctor told her they did but this ONE - this ONE angel didn’t kill her, instead it shoved her FURTHER into the past. but why this one angel ? no one could really answer this question, not even when ana finally reached the moment in time the long way around. this time instead of landing in a cave on an alien planet, she landed on the lap of one captain jack harkness in world war two, london.

it was from there that she met the doctor again, but this time he looked different - looked older and a girl called rose tyler from there - she was pulled into ANOTHER crazy adventure, but to earth, though the date, they told her was 2005. it hurt ana’s brain to try and wrap around the fact that she wasn’t born yet but she was still her fully grown self. twenty years old and in a different time and universe.

it was from there that ana grew to love the doctor, jack and rose - up until the time the doctor left jack in the year five billion and ended up regenerating, a move that ana figured he was trying to avoid her questioning, all on christmas day (and her birthday) (21). it was something that time lords could do apparently, and it was from there at the beginning of 2006 that ana found herself twenty one years old and alone. not wanting to travel with a newly regenerated doctor, not after leaving jack stranded in the future and the fact they had been butting heads almost the whole time he had been awake. it was only the beginning of february that ana stumbled across torchwood and captain jack again.

this is where ana’s timeline gets a little complicated - ana and jack find themselves getting a little bit closer - a lot close as they become intimate (on multiple occasions) and it’s only a few months later (half way through season one) that ana finds out she’s pregnant. but it’s an event that attracts the wrong kind of attention (madam kavorian had her nose out early on) however, ana runs back into the doctor again, who is suddenly with a new companion after her and jack have an argument one afternoon - he was getting close to ianto, she wasn’t mad that he was, just mad that jack never told her about it. she was four months pregnant and had already been on a ship that was crashing into a sun, in the early 1900′s with a doctor who was human and stuck in 1969 with no TARDIS. it was during the year that never was that ana gave birth to a healthy baby boy, ethan. born july 15th 2007 (22) aboard the valiant.

ana didn’t continue on with the doctor and martha when everything returned to normal and the master had been stopped. she had a baby to look after and a captain that wouldn’t slow down - during the year, they had gotten closer once more - ana forgave jack about keeping lanto a secret and who knew maybe the three of them could work something out (they never did). but it was during the winter of 2010 (23) that ana lost her son. (leaving out the events that occurred during children of earth and miracle day) ana was left alone on earth and that’s when they struck.

the headless monks - the silence and madam kavorian, she wanted to take a child born from an immortal and a human to see if she could transform him into a weapon, see if he had gained some of his father’s powers of immortality - it was the worst night of ana’s life, and the first thing that she did was call the doctor (who had regenerated yet again), crying on her bathroom floor almost throwing up due to the fact that her son had been taken right from under her nose. the floppy haired doctor made a promise that he would find ethan for her - find her son. during events of season six, there’s other shit that involves my time lord oc, oliver plus finding out that there’s a version of herself in this universe, though she was born a boy, called taylor plus another baby, this time a girl (25), season seven is split into two, ana being around during the power of three but not for the ponds last goodbye, she was dealing with family issues at the time.

it was only on ana’s birthday at the end of season seven, just before the doctor regenerates, that the crack in space and time appears again on christmas (the planet), pulling her in - yet again she doesn’t get erased or forgotten. clara seemed to think it was the time lords trying to keep her alive.

landing on the grassy ovel of star fleet academy in 2255 (just turned 26). this kind of anomaly - that seemed to like throwing her throughout time and space - attracted a lot of attention. the continuum caught wind of ana when her appearance in the universe caused a stir in the timeline. this was the moment when she met Q. no stranger to time travel, thanks to the doctor, ana was only worried about the fact that she had no way of getting home - it was then that Q managed to distract her with trying to create a fake background for her which would allow her to join star fleet and end up becoming a member of the USS enterprise, to fight the battle against nero (28) & khan (28) in the next five years.

it was during the short break between khan’s attack and the battle of yorktown that ana was whisked away from that certain timeline - all because Q was bored with how things where going, calm and boring and no fun at all. keeping her backstory and her star fleet academy degree ana was placed on board the USS enterprise yet again, however the year was 2365 (still 28) and this timeline was completely different. run by jean-luc picard, Q introduced ana in a rather horrible way.

it was almost two full years of Q and ana getting each other into trouble, whether it was with the rest of the universe or mostly amongst the enterprise crew, however, during the events of Wolf 359 (30), ana is assimilated along with captain picard. after the event and ana was back to ‘normal’, the continuum decided to throw ana away from Q, who was banned from seeing her and even knowing where she disappeared too.

ana landed on board the NX-01, the very first space bound enterprise.

it was then that she stepped in and demanded to be taken back home, to her time - to the crew she first became close with, the aos crew, to which natasha a lady Q who had felt sympathy for ana’s situation, being the most notorious Q’s plaything and threw her back on board the 1701 during her second year of the five year mission. which leads into star trek beyond and also helps the fact that ana knows the main antagonist of the movie (37).

now this is where it gets complicated once more - ana does manage to find herself back on 21st century earth. but because she had been affected by the time vortex, the continuum and just being a time traveler as well - ana’s body still registers as a healthy 31 year old - while with some help of borg nanites that had to remain in her body, other wise her respiratory system would have shut down and she would have suffocated to death, which helps her to regenerate a lot faster than most humans. season 9 & 10 of doctor who occur.

contemplating on throwing ana back to her home in the blackout universe, or back forward in time to ds9. the events of that series will occur but i am just at the beginning of the series, more to come when i watch on.

there has always been something about tanaka matheson. she had always been a special child. when she was nine years old, three years after the blackout, she left with her aunt rachel, away from her uncle ben and cousins, charlie & danny to find her way back to her father, a general of the monroe militia. she learnt the basic skills to survive, becoming one of the best swordsmen in the entire militia just like her father. she was still too young when she returned to miles to be apart of the army, but that did not stop ana from wanting to learn everything there was to know about swords and how to become an amazing fighter like her daddy.

she learnt more about how to run and fight than simple maths. however, miles made sure that she was well educated when it became obvious she liked to travel with him when he WENT on long tours than to actually learn basic rules - eventually when ana was thirteen (13), miles made sure that ana stayed in school, which sometimes included him taking the men in the middle of the night so that he didn’t wake her and cause her to stowaway in the carriage.

season one of revolution plays out normally - just with the addition of a twenty year old ana being incredibly protective over miles and charlie.

life seemed to be going smoothly until one day she found a crack in the wall of an abandoned hospital they were squatting in. this crack in the wall caused her to fall into another universe. it was a crack in time and space - it should have SWALLOWED her whole and erased her from reality, but instead the crack spat her out on the other side, in a different universe, on a different planet, IN a different time.

she never really thought about the consequences of her absences back on the other side, miles was in hysterics that not even nora could calm him down from - he searched high and low for his daughter, only to come up empty six months down the road. she was considered K.I.A and miles was more ruthless than ever before.

ana had no idea where she ended up or HOW the hell she got there, but it was on that planet that she met a man called the doctor, a girl named amy pond and a woman called river song. they all seemed to know her rather well - it was explained that time travel was a funny thing. from there - she fell into one adventure that felt like it would never end, until abruptly it does. one of the - ALIENS, a weeping angel, snagged her around the wrist - but it didn’t kill her. they had been KILLING PEOPLE all day, snapping necks instead of feeding on their life energy, at least that’s what the doctor told her they did but this ONE - this ONE angel didn’t kill her, instead it shoved her FURTHER into the past. but why this one angel ? no one could really answer this question, not even when ana finally reached the moment in time the long way around. this time instead of landing in a cave on an alien planet, she landed on the lap of one captain jack harkness in world war two, london.

it was from there that she met the doctor again, but this time he looked different - looked older and a girl called rose tyler from there - she was pulled into ANOTHER crazy adventure, but to earth, though the date, they told her was 2005. it hurt ana’s brain to try and wrap around the fact that she wasn’t born yet but she was still her fully grown self. twenty years old and in a different time and universe.

it was from there that ana grew to love the doctor, jack and rose - up until the time the doctor left jack in the year five billion and ended up regenerating, a move that ana figured he was trying to avoid her questioning, all on christmas day (and her birthday) (21). it was something that time lords could do apparently, and it was from there at the beginning of 2006 that ana found herself twenty one years old and alone. not wanting to travel with a newly regenerated doctor, not after leaving jack stranded in the future and the fact they had been butting heads almost the whole time he had been awake. it was only the beginning of february that ana stumbled across torchwood and captain jack again.

this is where ana’s timeline gets a little complicated - ana and jack find themselves getting a little bit closer - a lot close as they become intimate (on multiple occasions) and it’s only a few months later (half way through season one) that ana finds out she’s pregnant. but it’s an event that attracts the wrong kind of attention (madam kavorian had her nose out early on) however, ana runs back into the doctor again, who is suddenly with a new companion after her and jack have an argument one afternoon - he was getting close to ianto, she wasn’t mad that he was, just mad that jack never told her about it. she was four months pregnant and had already been on a ship that was crashing into a sun, in the early 1900′s with a doctor who was human and stuck in 1969 with no TARDIS. it was during the year that never was that ana gave birth to a healthy baby boy, ethan. born july 15th 2007 (22) aboard the valiant.

ana didn’t continue on with the doctor and martha when everything returned to normal and the master had been stopped. she had a baby to look after and a captain that wouldn’t slow down - during the year, they had gotten closer once more - ana forgave jack about keeping lanto a secret and who knew maybe the three of them could work something out (they never did). but it was during the winter of 2010 (23) that ana lost her son. (leaving out the events that occurred during children of earth and miracle day) ana was left alone on earth and that’s when they struck.

the headless monks - the silence and madam kavorian, she wanted to take a child born from an immortal and a human to see if she could transform him into a weapon, see if he had gained some of his father’s powers of immortality - it was the worst night of ana’s life, and the first thing that she did was call the doctor (who had regenerated yet again), crying on her bathroom floor almost throwing up due to the fact that her son had been taken right from under her nose. the floppy haired doctor made a promise that he would find ethan for her - find her son. during events of season six, there’s other shit that involves my time lord oc, oliver plus finding out that there’s a version of herself in this universe, though she was born a boy, called taylor plus another baby, this time a girl (25), season seven is split into two, ana being around during the power of three but not for the ponds last goodbye, she was dealing with family issues at the time.

it was only on ana’s birthday at the end of season seven, just before the doctor regenerates, that the crack in space and time appears again on christmas (the planet), pulling her in - yet again she doesn’t get erased or forgotten. clara seemed to think it was the time lords trying to keep her alive.

landing on the grassy ovel of star fleet academy in 2255 (just turned 26). this kind of anomaly - that seemed to like throwing her throughout time and space - attracted a lot of attention. the continuum caught wind of ana when her appearance in the universe caused a stir in the timeline. this was the moment when she met Q. no stranger to time travel, thanks to the doctor, ana was only worried about the fact that she had no way of getting home - it was then that Q managed to distract her with trying to create a fake background for her which would allow her to join star fleet and end up becoming a member of the USS enterprise, to fight the battle against nero (28) & khan (28) in the next five years.

it was during the short break between khan’s attack and the battle of yorktown that ana was whisked away from that certain timeline - all because Q was bored with how things where going, calm and boring and no fun at all. keeping her backstory and her star fleet academy degree ana was placed on board the USS enterprise yet again, however the year was 2365 (still 28) and this timeline was completely different. run by jean-luc picard, Q introduced ana in a rather horrible way.

it was almost two full years of Q and ana getting each other into trouble, whether it was with the rest of the universe or mostly amongst the enterprise crew, however, during the events of Wolf 359 (30), ana is assimilated along with captain picard. after the event and ana was back to ‘normal’, the continuum decided to throw ana away from Q, who was banned from seeing her and even knowing where she disappeared too.

that’s a big personal. during the blackout and being in the militia and then running away from the patriots ana was slightly underweight and all muscle at times, so around 50/55 kg. when coming to live with the doctor and a world were making meals is a lot easier when having gas and a microwave around 65 kg.

25th of december, 2008 - this is her original birth date. in the blackout universe, her proper universe. when she arrives in the alternate world, and realises that it’s the tale end of 2005 and just the beginning of 2006, it would make her birth year 1987.

ana was diagnosed with asthma at a young age. it was said to just be a childhood ailment, but when the blackout occurred and her body went under serious weight loss, her asthma stayed and she had to learn how to live with it when her insulin ran out and there was no way to refill her inhaler.  

for injuries, ana has had multiple broken bones. that includes her shoulder, her left arm, both her legs (at different points in time), a couple of fingers and multiple ribs.

there is a birthmark on the backside of her right hip. it is in the shape of diamond. she also has a tattoo that runs along the inner side of her right wrist that says joy. when she was older she gained quite a few scars, notable ones include the one running through her right eyebrow (due to the master) as well as multiple small ones on her back from being whipped. 

what religion are they, and why?

tamara’s family was catholic and for ana they did go to church when she was very young. but apart from that - ana isn’t.

well income didn’t really matter during the blackout, as long as they could find food and other resources that was all that mattered. when traveling with the doctor, ana became rather comfortable with the ability to flash the psychic paper and get anything that she wished. but when she finally settled back on earth and worked for torchwood, before becoming a midwife, it was a comfortable salery. (as well as not dying was good enough)

well - enough to live comfortably when ana’s back on earth.

ana never gets to see the official out come of what happens to the discovery. she gets pulled away from the shuttle that she’s in with spock just before michael disappears through the black hole. not being able to say goodbye to anyone, having come from the future, ana never really knew that she would be apart of the events that would save the universe. she was going to stay on the discovery and go through the wormhole with them. but fate and the universe had other ideas and this time it wasn’t Q that intervened, it was the stupid thing that was STUCK on her wrist, the vortex manipulator.

it’s funny how time works, she knows that in the future, spock will still have that strange encounter with the new crew member on the enterprise in ten years time and that christopher pike will still be there to help her adjust AND be her closest friend (until the events that lead to his future state). she knows that her feelings for jim kirk will manifest like they should, but that will be the OLD her, the past her. present ana matheson will be sent further into the future, away from the crew and the TIME that she knew.

the manipulator was jolted against the wall of the shuttle when it was hit by stray phasers, activating it for the first time in what felt like centuries. the doctor had promised her, he had FIXED it completely, that there would be no way for it to reactive and send her hurtling through time. guess he was wrong.

the enterprise d - a future she never wanted to see. unable to ask questions about the discovery, never being able to find out what happened to her friends to her family. until one day she does & that’s when section 31 finds out that their BEST AGENT is still alive.

Eyes followed every cloud (and toclophan) that passed the windows, it seemed to be the only thing she could do to pass the time. Day 365, exactly one year since hell literally fell from the sky. Of course she was still counting, especially after having Ethan, the more they lived through this year - the more Ana seemed to lose hope of ever returning home. They had rearranged the terms of their agreement, so of course she was counting the days until Martha would come back and save them all.

It was that rare occasion that Jack was allowed the chance to spend time with Ethan, surrounded by a hoard of guards though, it was the best she could have hoped for. She had sat by them for almost forty-five minutes, the two of them whispering to each other and fawning over Ethan. The Doctor would join them on some days, but today she hadn’t been able to wake him, there was sudden worry that nibbled at her heart, that he wouldn’t survive much longer under the conditions that the Master kept him in.

The bridge always seemed to be busy with activity however and Ana knew that the Doctor was always keeping a watchful eye on her. But that didn’t matter most days, their arguments didn’t slow down or disappear since he had been forced to age, god knows even the Master had to pull the two of them apart on a bad day, which in turn would give him the ammunition to turn it around on the pair of them.

The slight wail of her son caused Ana to turn around, arms crossed over her chest, they fall to her sides as she noticed the Master pulling Ethan out of Jack’s arms and the guards starting to haul him back to the elevator. “What the hell?” she spoke and started to stalk forwards, the sight of him with her son in his arms, caused her stomach to churn and she had to resist the urge to tackle him. “It hasn’t been an hour!”

The guards had grabbed onto Jack’s arms and Ana rushed to the railing of the upper deck. Her eyes caught Jack’s and he shook his head. He could never die, but that didn’t mean he enjoyed being tortured and killed every time. “I’m sorry.” Ana mumbled but Jack just winked before he disappeared into the elevator.

“Change of plans,” his voice was hard. He was annoyed, she had been with him for almost a full year, she had picked up a few things about his character. The Master turned his head to look up at Ana, who managed to swallow the lump in her throat as her green eyes focused on those hard brown eyes. Ethan seemed to be enthralled with the Master and he held up his chubby little hands towards the Time Lords face. “Miss Martha Jones has made her grand re appearance home.” Ana’s heart skipped a beat, as she started down the steps.

“What are you going to do?” It was odd for everyone else in the room, including the guards. Tish and Martha’s mother knew about the complexity of Ana’s relationship with the man that enslaved humanity. It wasn’t a pretty one and it most certainly wasn’t one that could hold any love. But then there were days like these, days were the two of them seemed so in sync that anyone (who had no idea about anything in the world) would confuse them for being ‘together’. It probably had something to do with the fact that Ana had been so very close to the rift, and the time vortex - the TARDIS tried her best to keep the human alive for as long as she could ... even giving her small abilities, maybe that’s why she managed to fall into rhythm with any Time Lord she comes into contact with.

Ana moved down the stairs and came to stand in front of him, she was trying to be brave, she knew that he enjoyed it when she was putting on a brave face. And in that moment, he was holding her son, she was going to do anything to keep him happy.

“We are going down to the surface to be her welcome home party.” The Master stared at his human companion. Of course, she didn’t know that, but once he was ready to start the WAR, she was coming along with him, Ana, and her son. It seemed to be a slight weakness that the Master had gotten used to the small pest.  But there was always going to be a small part of him that would be that boy from Gallifrey, who wanted a family.

Who had lost his older brother to the universe and the stars. It was he who could have stopped everything, who could have been there to take the drumming away - but he left. And he never came back.

Her green eyes seemed to bore into his brown and he couldn’t help the small smirk that crossed his lips, before he handed the human child back to her. She jumped into action and gripped her son under his arms and wrapped him to her chest, a small cry leaving his lips as he was passed away from the Master. “No, no I’m not going to bring Ethan down there.” She was adamant on that, he could see it in her eyes. So, he turned on his heel and started towards the elevator, which opened and he stepped inside. He motioned for her to follow him.

Ana stared at him, and then she found her gaze falling onto Tish who was still cleaning the massive table in the centre of the room. Then the movement from the corner of her eye, caused Ana to look down at the Doctor. The sharp whistle that rang through her ear, caused the Australian to wince yet again and turn back to face the Master, who was now wearing an impatient look on his face. Well that was her mind made up for her then.

She continued to cradle Ethan against her chest, where he made a soft cooing noise, before falling silent. His small breath evening out against her bare skin. Ana made her way into the elevator, ignoring the looks of concern that she was given when the doors slid shut.

“I’m not coming with you to take my FRIEND into custody.” The silence had been too much for the brunette. The smell of the Master’s cologne seemed too strong as she stood too close to him in such a confined space.

“I’m afraid you don’t have much of a choice,” the Master spoke up, head turning to face her. “Do you want Handsome Jack to have time with his offspring?” Ana’s eyes narrowed, oh she knew what game he was playing at. She suddenly realised where they were going.

“I come with you and you let Jack have as much quality time with Ethan as I like?”

“Within reason.”

“Within reason my ass.” The muttered reply caused a chuckle to leave the slightly psychotic Time Lord to her right. The elevator came to a stop and the doors slid open, Ana hadn’t been down to the lower levels of the Valiant, and now she was glad that she didn’t live down there. But the sharp stab of annoyance at herself rose again, Martha’s family had to survive down here. Jack was CHAINED up down here, while she was given her own room (with a guard stationed outside) and a comfortable bed.

It was quiet for the next couple of minutes, they were making their way towards Jack’s area. He probably would have been chained up already, but the Master had a look of annoyance and determination on his face, one that the guards when they saw him coming didn’t react too and didn’t object too.

“You okay?” Jack questioned as they entered the cell. Ana opened her mouth to speak but the Master, who was a grade A ass butted in for her.

“Handsome Jack.” he said and the immortal turned his blue gaze away from the mother of his child and glared at the Time Lord. “Little Annie and I are going on a field trip.” Jack immediately turned to look back at Ana and then down to Ethan, who had immediately perked up at the sight of his father.

“Da!” Ethan tried to say, but he shoved his little fist into his mouth before he could finish.

“Which means, you get a grand prize for being so good!” Ana tried to keep her disgust to herself, but Jack noticed the slight twitch of her eyebrow. “While we’re gone, you dear captain...” With a flick of his head, the guard who had been standing at the door stepped over and started to undo the cuffs. “Get to spend time with your son.” When Jack was free from the chain, the Master gave Ana a pointed look. “You have five minutes. Then meet me on the roof.” With that and a flick of his coat tails, he was out of the cage - the guard following behind.

Ana let her breath escape her lips as she watched him go. The others that were milling about down here were trying their best not to give her scathing looks. She had been awarded so much freedom that Ana actually wanted to be a slave. A hand resting against her neck caused Ana to turn back around.

“Are you okay?” Jack asked once again. Ethan was making gurgling noises, as his tiny hands reached up and grabbed a hold of his dirty shirt. With a nod of her head, Ana handed Ethan over, who was more than happy. Jack took the ten month old and gave the biggest smile Ana had seen in the entire year they had been locked up.

“Yeah, yeah I’m fine.” Hands clasped together and it suddenly felt weird for him to be out of her arms. “What about you.” Ana leaned up, her hands falling a part and then resting on either side of Jack’s face. “I know you can take it...” She mumbled, letting her finger run over his lips. “But it must hurt still.” Her voice started to fall into a whisper, noticing the guard had returned. The Master never really kept while on his time management.

“Be careful.” Jack changed the subject, because even at the end of the world, he was still hiding things from her. “I don’t know what you’re doing back down on the surface but it can’t be good.” Shifting Ethan in his arms, Ana leaned forward and placed a kiss on his lips.

“Martha’s back.” She mumbled against his chapped lips. A slight smile pulled on her lips. “If she’s back, means that whatever the Doctor has planned is gonna happen.”

Jack leaned forward again, pressing his lips against hers once more, before he pulled away when the call of her name came from one of the guards behind her. Pressing a finger against her lips, Ana turned around and noticed that two guards had appeared - her escort she presumed.

“We can get through this.” Ana nodded her head. Before she placed a kiss against Ethan’s head and turned on her heel - stepping out of the cage. She hoped so.
