Everyone's comparing Rabie to Rouge the Bat, but the first character I thought of was Belfry from the webcomic Tamberlane.

I'm definitely missing a lot of characters but for now, this should suffice (What a coincide so many have gone through some form or trauma, the majority of the identity kind!)

Rose (Black and red furry): Homunculus shapeshifting mute doppelganger with an identity crisis [latchkey kingdom]

Noriel (Curly hair with feathers and scar): Homeless half-angel-demon, acts like a cat, also existential crisis [Wings: By Noa Start]

Tamberlane (Human girl at the bottom): Only human in the continent with a little bit of existential crisis [Tamberlane]

Ruby (Black and White person in the middle): A Squid person living among humans, clumsy but with a good heart, has a bit of an identity crisis [Ruby Gilman] Kinda a shame I only like the storyboards and fan content.

Luz Noceda (Crying girl with black hair): Creative, passionate, socially clumsy, and bullied high school girl who just wanted to belong somewhere [The Owl House]

Hilda (light blue hair and skin) a young adventurous kid who gets into maybe a little too many problems, saw herself die once, and also turned into an abominable troll once. [Hilda Netflix]

Vee the basilisk (Girl with white spots and blue sweater): Artifically born shapeshifting demon who just wanted a safe place to live [The Owl House]

Belle the Tinkered (Yes, the Sonic character): android whose creator/father died and went through a phase of existential crisis and isolation [Sonic IDW Comics]

Hunter the Grimwalker (Blonde boy with red eyes): Artificially born half-witch-human indoctrinated to be a child soldier, a lot of identity and existential crisis [The Owl House]

Belfy (Bat on the top): Clumpy single mother doing her best, prone to a lot of self-blame;-; [Tamberlane]

I have like a dozen more characters to share but for now, these are my favorites, nobody is above anyone... except you Vee, you are my favorite

Trigger warning for blood

Belfry was the first contact he's had in years. So of course, he wasn't eager to let her go at first. But once the truth comes out, he lets her leave to punish himself for lying to her. Of course, she couldn't bring herself to leave him alone again, and convinced him to go with her to find Tamberlane and her sister, who were kidnapped by another group of survivors.

Dark Ace, despite his fear of the outside, vows to keep her and her family safe once they find them. Prone to adrenaline rushes, and having a high pain tolerance, he makes for an effective fighter when being attacked by violent groups. Almost too effective.

It's such a great comic for sure, I don't usually read anthro comics so I was pleasantly surprised when I wound up really enjoying it :' D Old man Oakewood is probably my favorite, I love "grumpy with a heart of gold" characters 🥺💓

Day 29 of art practice! I'm a tad inebriated atm, so I hope this looks at least half as decent as I think it looks! As an FYI, I'm participating in a friendly, but intense, competition with some of my friends next week, so my drawings over that time span are probably going to be a bit... simpler...

Break Time!

Hello all! Tamberlane is going on a posting break until April 2nd!

At the end of January, I had a fairly major (elective) surgery and am still recovering. I'd hoped to be back at work by now, but I need more time. Since the buffer of finished comics is pretty close to empty and I don't want to fret about that, I'm just putting a pause until I feel better. I'm PRETTY sure I'll be better by April, but I reserve the right to extend the break as needed. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

I look forward to seeing y'all again in a month and change -- and thank you in the meantime for all the well-wishes and support I've received. You guys are lovely!

The creature from the woods is stranger than she seems...

The animal citizens of Treehollow have discovered a small, strange creature wandering alone in the forest: a human child! And they have no idea what it is. Clearly much too young to be on her own, it’s anyone’s guess how this mysterious being, named Tamberlane, ended up in their town of Treehollow.

Fostered by Belfry, the accident-prone bat, and guided by a colorful cast of animal characters, Tamberlane’s mysteries continue to unfold. But questions burn in everyone’s minds: who, and what, is she? And could she have something to do with the far-off and unspeakable taboo, Abroad?

An emotionally complex story, Tamberlane is also dedicated to featuring queer characters having adventures that have nothing whatsoever to do with the trials and tribulations of their identity.

Tamberlane is made by Caytlin Vilbrandt @justcaytlin, Ari Noble, Jonas, Elle Pierre, Isabel "Izzy" Pereira, Nakata Whittle, and Koda Star.

So here's a bit about me, because why not

Hi, I'm Cam

Pronouns he/him.

I don't really have that many hobbies, but I mostly play video games such as Skyrim, Minecraft, Subnautica, and Borderlands, among many others; Conjure and write stories and skits, usually in my head; and I will very rarely draw, usually FNaF related drawings, but don't expect any posts with any of my art.

My interests include FNaF, Wings of Fire, Tamberlane (for those that know), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Subnautica, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Resident Evil, and probably other things that I don't really feel like racking my mind for because it's 9:20 at night.

My favorite music artist is Aviators, and I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite song.

My stories include FNaF fan stories such as Five Nights at Freddy's: Reign of Glitchtrap, a story I started back about 4 years ago. Wings of Fire fan stories such as Wings of Fire: The War of MudWing Supremacy and Wings of Fire Arc 4. And original stories such as Elements (Sex Elementis), Devilswood and an unnamed sci-fi space story.
