I think polyamory would come naturally to them, but I also think Tamaki needs to fix his issues (namely his jealousy and internalized homophobia) before getting into a relationship with them, and I say this in the most affectionate way possible.

*At the dinner table*
Tamaki: Mommy, can you pass me the salt?
Kyoya: here you go, Daddy.
Haruhi, in her head: Am I the child in this situation?
Haruhi: Tamaki, I wasn't aware when I married you that we also married Kyoya
Tamaki, dramatically: don't tell me you didn't know Kyoya and I are a two in one package?
Kyoya: I thought I couldn't leave you alone with this idiot, so I strung along. There is no better motivator than self interest.
Haruhi: eh? Whatever.

Just a lil’ something-something I drew for all you fellow losers out there.
So, I’ve finally started dabbling in the world of fanfic (despite years of writing, I’ve honestly never given it a go till now). I don’t update as much as I would like to, but as my Uni semester draws to an end, I’ll start writing more, lol

People most affected by the news of Tamaki leaving the Host Club thanks to his grandmother’s influence got one panel of their own. The ones who thought they’d benefit least from the Host Club in the beginning and also the ones who inexplicably fell in love with their “detainer”

OHSHC - Starting Today, YOU Are A Host!
A/N: A companion/sequel piece to my other OHSHC fics An Intriguing Notion and In Its Own Way.
Summary: No matter how she looked at it, Haruhi could only see recruiting students for the Host Club (instead of Tamaki kidnapping them) as a bad idea. It didn't matter if she was dating Tamaki and Kyouya both, she would still tell both of them what a bad idea it was. That didn't mean she wouldn't still help, of course, but she would at least go down making sure her opinion was known.
Characters: Fujioka Haruhi, Suoh Tamaki, Ootori Kyouya, Original Male Character(s)
Pairing: Fujioka Haruhi/Suoh Tamaki/Ootori Kyouya
Rating: General
Word Count: 3,416
AO3 Link
Haruhi frowned, arms crossed as she watched the entire host club tear through student files — well, most of them were tearing through student files in a frenzy. Mori was merely trying to stack the paper files into neat piles while Kyoya, the only sane one Haruhi could count on in the hell that was the Ouran Host Club, was calmly doing work on his laptop.
Weighing her options, and her odds of success, Haruhi walked over to Kyoya, arms crossed as she spoke, “Is this really such a good idea? Looking for new people to audition for the host club?” It wasn’t like they really did auditions before. Tamaki had instead kidnapped everyone and Haruhi had joined the club to pay off a debt and had thus become an indentured servant against her will.
“Well,” Kyoya drew out, glancing up at all of the chaos with that spark of amusement in his eyes. “We will be losing Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai once they graduate at the end of this year, and if we recruit from the new first years then we won’t have to deal with this insanity again anytime soon.”
“I guess,” Haruhi muttered, looking back to the fourth years in question. “I was meaning to ask, but why does Ouran even have a fourth year?” In Haruhi’s experience, high schools had three years and that was it. Not that she was complaining. She wasn’t looking forward to when Honey and Mori finally left the school for good.
“As you know, Ouran is famous for providing for a specific clientele when it comes to the students. The fourth year serves as less of an actual year of learning, and more of a focus on preparing students to take over their family businesses. This sometimes involves internships, private studies, or any other number of similar duties.” Kyoya glanced up at her, neutral expression fading for an amused smirk. “Were you hoping the club would die with you and the twins one day?”
“Would it be wrong of me to say yes?” Haruhi shot back, trying not to grin at Kyoya’s laugh. “I don’t know, it just… It seems like people tend to just… become a part of the club. Looking for students to interview or ‘audition’ or whatever Tamaki is planning seems…”
“Doomed to failure?” Kyoya suggested, easily making room when Haruhi flopped onto the couch and collapsed against him. “I’ll take that as agreement then, shall I?”
Haruhi groaned, tilting her head up to look at Kyoya with what she hoped was a warning glare. If Tamaki and Kyoya were to be believed, however, then she was pouting. Luckily her boyfriends were always wrong in most matters of life. “This is going to fail horribly,” she insisted. “You do know that, don’t you?”
“Of course,” Kyoya nodded, gently kissing the top of her head, and, alright. It was hard to even pretend to be upset with a sweet gesture like that. “Personally, however, I am going to find much enjoyment in watching all of these idiots run themselves ragged in an attempt that’s destined to fail.”
“Even our idiot?” Haruhi asked, tilting her head up into the second kiss she was given as she spared a glance towards said idiot. He was complaining about a papercut, it looked like.
“Especially our idiot.” Kyoya shifted to wrap an arm around her, easily tilting his laptop to allow her to see it. A quick glance showed that he was going through some of the student files himself, but in a much less chaotic way. The fact he had any up at all was what worried her. “Besides, I have a feeling that something good will come out of this.”
Ah… That meant Kyoya had already set everything up to manipulate the entire day to go exactly the way he wanted it to. That was probably more reassuring to Haruhi than it should have been, but at least that meant she could relax and not have to worry too much. At least, that was the plan.
“Alright, club! We have a mission to accomplish!” That plan, as usual, was shattered with Tamaki’s beaming smile that spoke of nothing except trouble. “If all goes well then by the end of today we’ll have some new host members! Everyone! Line up for your assignments!”
The other four fell into line at once, Haruhi making absolutely no attempt at moving away from Kyoya’s side, who had gone back to his work. Unsurprisingly, it was Hikaru to start whining, “Boss, how come Haruhi and Kyoya don’t have to line up!”
“Because they’re perfect, wonderful, can do no wrong, and I love them,” Tamaki stated bluntly, Haruhi refusing to acknowledge her idiot in any way, shape, or form. “Haruhi!” Which was hard when Tamaki spun around and started waving at them even though they were all in the same room. “Kyoya! Daddy loves you both!”
Haruhi wasn’t sure whether to kill Tamaki or snort at how Kyoya immediately stumbled in what he was typing before swearing under his breath. She settled with rolling her eyes and muttering a soft, “If you kill him, I’ll help.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Haruhi, I would never force you to dirty your hands in such a matter,” Kyoya said, eyes narrowing. “A slow-acting poison will ensure his death at home, meaning we won’t have to deal with disposal.”
If Tamaki heard them planning his upcoming death, he didn’t bother to question it, instead handing out ‘assignments. “Alright, gentlemen, here is the plan! We’re going to be splitting into teams of two, each team getting their assignments.” As Tamaki spoke, he handed a stack of files each to Mori and then to Kaoru. He then walked over to give a stack to Kyoya, who took them with a sigh. “I want you to observe these chosen men, interview them, and then audition them. Remember, gentlemen, we’re looking not precisely for new characters, but those who will embellish our own and flourish once some of us have moved on!”
“Uh, Boss?” Kaoru raised his hand, looking over towards Haruhi and Kyoya. “There’s an odd number of us. How are we going to do teams of two-”
“Obviously Kyoya and Haruhi are both on my team,” Tamaki preened, Haruhi rolling her eyes as the twins immediately started complaining about special treatment. “Shut up! There’s no way you can split apart true love!”
That had Honey joining into the argument, Haruhi not sure what point he was arguing, exactly, but Mori was nodding in support every few seconds. Haruhi shifted to look at the files Kyoya had been given, unsurprised to see he was already sorting through them with a contemplative look.
“Well?” Haruhi asked, propping her head up against Kyoya’s shoulder. “Any ‘promising candidates filled with the beauty of youth?’” The harsh snort that slipped past Kyoya felt very much like victory, in Haruhi’s opinion.
“Now, I wonder where you ever could have thought up words like those,” Kyoya musued, still snickering as he shook his head. “I wouldn’t quite go as far as ‘the beauty of youth,’ but there are some possible candidates that would make good hosts for the club.”
“Don’t let that lot hear you say that,” Haruhi said, pointing at the escalating fight where Hikaru and Tamaki were already rolling on the floor in a fight, Kaoru cheering Hikaru on loudly. “They’ll all be insufferable to know they didn’t do a bad job.”
Kyoya gave another laugh, this one muffled against his hand for a moment, “Yes, well… While they continue to destroy the club room once again, I wondered if you would investigate these two?”
Haruhi blinked, startled as Kyoya handed her two student files of a couple of first years, one in Class 1-A and the other in Class 1-D, which… was rather surprising. All of the host club members were in their own Class A, after all. Taking another closer look, Haruhi couldn’t stop her eyebrows from raising as she saw that the 1-A student was a scholarship student.
Looking back up at Kyoya, Haruhi narrowed her eyes, “Kyoya… What are you planning?” In lieu of a reply, Kyoya only gave her that bright smile that spoke of days, possibly weeks, of plotting and planning. “I don’t suppose staying here is an option, is it?”
“If you do this, then for our next date night I’ll cancel the reservations I made at Cafe Des Artistes and instead we can spend the night at your place watching movies.” Kyoya had barely even finished before Haruhi was up and heading for the door.
She did slow just enough to toss out a quick, “Be back later!” to the others. Other than that, though, well. Not only did she have a lot to gain, but she had a feeling they were about to find their two next host members.
“Todoroki-san?” The first year girl of D class that Haruhi had found gave a small frown, looking between her two friends that were beside her. “I’m sorry, Haruhi-senpai, but I don’t know much about him.”
“He’s pretty shy,” her friend on the right chipped in. “He’s not any trouble or anything like some of our classmates, but he’s… quiet, you know? I think his family runs a martial arts dojo, but one of the smaller ones.”
Haruhi nodded, quiet before he gave the girls a smile, “Thank you for telling me what you know, ladies. I really appreciate it.” The girls, as was typical of Ouran Academy girls, all rushed to assure him that it was no problem before they giggled and ran away. Honestly, rich people.
Still, he had at least found something out. Chisaki Todoroki was of class 1-D, but he had decent enough grades. It was mainly his family, who weren’t very well known, that had him landing in the class. It was just another reason Haruhi wanted to burn the school down some days.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t do that until he graduated, and even then Tamaki would no doubt talk him out of it.
Shaking his head, Haruhi focused back on the student file he had. The accompanied picture showed someone around Tamaki’s height with similar hair, but it was a much more dirty, faded blond than Tamaki’s. Even in the picture, though, Todoroki seemed shy and reclusive, not looking directly at the camera and instead off to the side.
No matter how Haruhi looked at it, the first year didn’t exactly scream host. Then again, neither had he, so he supposed he couldn’t say much. Besides, Kyoya was rarely ever wrong — not in matters like these.
“Maybe some other students will know more,” Haruhi mumbled to himself, closing the file and continuing on past the classroom. Lunch was about to end and he had his own class he needed to get back to. He could always try to find the two students after school-
“Todoroki, right?” Or Haruhi could take a detour and be a couple minutes late. At least he had found- “That little rat from the Todoroki Dojo?” The tone, harsh and slick and like every bully he had ever encountered had Haruhi speeding up in his steps.
“I- If you want to put it like that.” The voice was quiet and filled with nervous tension, Haruhi rounding the hallway corner just in time to see the very student he had been looking for was backed up against the wall, two rougher-looking students, who had to be in their third year at least because Haruhi didn’t recognize them from his year, on either side of him and blocking him in.
“Yeah, I know about you. You and your old man.” Ah, a personal matter between parents. That was usually the case at Ouran, though. “Bastard thought he could run our place out of business!”
Todoroki looked like he was trying to stutter through an apology, drenched in an alternate school uniform that was a cream-colored sweater that looked a size or two too big for him. Overall he looked terrified, young, and like he had absolutely no chance. Not that Haruhi would fare much better, but that didn’t stop him from calling out a loud, “Hey! What do you two think you’re doing?”
The two older students startled and looked worried for one glorious second — and then they saw just who they were dealing with. “Oh, it’s just one of those host guys. What, you gonna flirt with us or some shit until we leave?”
“I was thinking more of punching you in the face,” Haruhi growled, standing his ground as the attention was now on him. At least it would give the first year a chance to get out of there. If Haruhi was lucky, Todoroki would grab a teacher or even another student to help.
“Yeah?” The one with the grudge started to stride forward, cracking his knuckles with an ugly grin. “Oh, I’m gonna enjoy knocking you down you-”
The insult went unfinished, Haruhi watching with wide eyes as Todoroki darted forward and whipped his leg around, kicking the third year’s legs out from under him. He then caught him and executed a perfect over-the-shoulder throw, Haruhi hearing a crack from either the floor or the third year’s head as he was slammed into the tile.
A beat of silence passed, Haruhi blinking and staring at Todoroki, who glanced at the other third year that was, very, very quickly, running away. Todoroki then looked to him, absolute worry on his face as he rushed forward, stepping on the third year to get closer, “Oh my gosh, are you alright? Did you get hurt? I’m so sorry you got wrapped up in my problems!”
“Ah, no, that’s… That’s okay,” Haruhi managed to mumble, staring at the first year because now he was… a little lost on what to do. “Are you okay?”
Todoroki nodded, looking away shyly, “Those things just sort of… happen. Fights come with the family business, you could say. I’m used to it.”
“Right.” Haruhi crossed his arms, thinking on what to do with the fidgeting first year in front of him that just kicked a third year’s ass without even trying. “Say, have you heard about the Host Club?”
“The Host Club?” Todoroki looked up curiously, head tilting to the side as he bit his lower lip, looking away and then back to Haruhi. “What’s that?”
Yeah… Kyoya had definitely known what he had been doing.
After safely dropping Todoroki off in the music room to let the others deal with after the day’s classes were over, Haruhi went off in search of the next file he had been given, which was Atsuki Suzuki. It took roughly one minute for Haruhi to decide he didn’t like the first year and two minutes for him to decide he hated him.
Haruhi had been almost excited because, according to Kyoya’s file on him, Suzuki was a scholarship student and came from a lower income family. Not as low as Haruhi’s, granted, but lower than was typical for a student of Ouran Academy. Enough for Haruhi to feel comfortable with the idea of having someone else in the club that got it.
Instead he had a little asshole laughing in his face after insulting every single member of the host club including Haruhi himself, finishing with a loud, “And you want me to join? I think I’d rather jump out a window than go anywhere near that ‘club’ of yours.”
“Good to know,” Haruhi managed to get out through his clenched teeth. If nothing else, since he had caught Suzuki at the end of the day, no one was in the classroom to see him push the little bastard out a window just like he wanted.
“Besides, it’s pretty obvious I’m better than a bunch of rich pretty boys who just want an excuse to flirt with a bunch of girls without any consequences.” Hm. Would Haruhi have his scholarship taken away if he killed another scholarship student? Or would it be seen as a case of survival of the fittest? “Especially that club leader of yours. Isn’t he supposed to the Chairman’s son? God, that’s probably the only reason he got into such an elite school.”
Haruhi would not kill a first year. He wouldn’t. Not while they were in the school in any case. “Look. I get it. You hate the Host Club and everyone inside.”
“I don’t hate them,” Suzuki rolled his eyes, turning around and shoving past Haruhi, almost knocking him into a desk. “I just think they’re worthless, useless pretty boys who don’t deserve to be in this school.”
If anything, the Host Club would support Haruhi in killing such a foul little pest. Taking a step forward, and ready to at least get a punch in, Haruhi paused as his foot caught on what seemed to be a wallet. Picking it up, Haruhi raised his voice, “Hey, you dropped your wallet, you… know…” Huh. Atsuki Suzuki. Female.
The wallet was ripped out of his hand harshly, Haruhi startling back to see Suzuki was glaring at him, shaking in what would have been rage if he didn’t look so… scared. “You didn’t see anything, got it? You didn’t- You saw nothing-!” Suzuki snapped his mouth shut, shame and embarrassment creeping into his expression and oh- Oh!
“No- No, no, no, it’s okay, I-” Haruhi fumbled for her bag, quickly pulling out her own wallet with her ID card right in front. She quickly turned it around, holding it right up to Suzuki, who stilled completely as he stared at it. “It’s… Trust me. It’s more than okay.”
“You…” Suzuki trailed off, mouth shut as his shoulders slowly stopped shaking before he cleared his throat and looked away. “You were, um… You were telling me about your… Host Club?”
Yeah, Haruhi thought to herself, Kyoya was going to be absolutely insufferable.
It was possible that, all things considered, Kyoya might not have fully thought through his decision for who the next host members would be. Everything had gone perfectly as planned, of course, with Haruhi gently recruiting their newest member while the others were all distracted with their ‘search.’ The problem he was having now, however, was that he hadn’t quite seen how Atsuki Suzuki would mesh with their current members.
Atsuki had taken a shine to Haruhi from the moment she had come back with him, and he suited the greedy, self-assured type that was just what the club needed. He was not fond of the other club members, however, and had kept the nature of his gender to himself. There was no doubt Haruhi knew, of course, considering how the two acted around one another, but Kyoya saw no reason to say anything on the matter to the others since it didn’t concern him.
“The new guys aren’t so bad, but Suzuki is a bit of an asshole,” Hikaru muttered, popping up on Kyoya’s right while Kaoru popped up on his left. “Can’t we kick him out?”
“He’s nice to the customers, at least… kind of,” Kaoru huffed. “But he’s also only nice to Haruhi. He basically follows her around like a puppy whenever he sees her!”
“He’s cold, greedy, self-obsessed, and doesn’t care about almost anyone,” Hikaru listed off, giving a snicker. “It’s like dealing with a younger Kyoya-senpai.”
Kaoru laughed, adding on a quick, “Yeah, but this one’s nice to Haruhi from the start.” Kyoya adjusted his glasses, trying not to roll his eyes.
“Hush, you two. He’ll acclimatize given the time. For now, however, we should be thankful he’ll at least listen to one of us.” Kyoya looked back to the two in question, raising an eyebrow as he saw Haruhi was helping Atsuki fix his rather atrocious tie.
Kyoya faintly heard Atsuki mention something about never wearing ties, which made sense, but he was then distracted as Atsuki looked over a distracted Haruhi’s shoulder and caught his gaze. He then smirked before looking back to Haruhi with a cheerful, “Thank you, Haruhi-senpai.”
“Did he just…”
“He did.”
“Looks like the Boss and Kyoya have some competition, huh?”
“Is it competition? I mean, those two have a lot more in common-”
Kyoya felt his pen snap between his fingers, completely ignoring the twins quickly running away and Tamaki trying to get his attention and ‘calm him down.’ Kyoya ignored him, instead devoting his attention to more important matters.
There was an open window precisely twelve feet behind him, after all.
