Tamagotchi MixingMeet Info

MixingMeet(link to site) is a helpful app that is a fan recreation of the official Tamagotchi On App. There are often many questions that people want to know about so thought I'd give some info for anyone interested. These are just ones I know enough to answer, you will need to join the discord server for some stuff.(Especially since you need to join to get the app anyway)

Some of these might be obvious but it's good to just mention it just in case. I just thought I'd give info in case someone wants to know what they're getting into when getting the app & joining the server.

A section of questions you might want to know

A few things you need to know first are that MixingMeets is based on the On app so it's based on the English version not the Japanese one. That is not the version that was preserved, due to this any features that involved the Mix are not available. The Tamagotchi Meet & Tamagotchi On work just not the Tamagotchi Mix.

You will have to go to the discord & download from the channel called "🎮│download", instructions are in "❓│faq" but I'm also pretty sure there are videos that explain how to do this as well. There is also a channel old android phones(older than 7.1.1) & a channel for Google Pixel 7 or later cause of 64bits stuff.(There is a download for this version of the app & you can talk in the channel if you need help) There's also a channel were it's all in Japanese if you need to ask something in Japanese instead of English.

As long as the device has Android 4.4 or higher then it should be able to use the app. Some newer devices supposedly don't work with the app so be careful with what you buy to use this app. It's best to just look for a cheap android device with android 4.4 or higher if all else fails.

(These come from answers I saw on the server, answers vary & you might need to ask something on there yourself)

>Does this work on ios/will this come to ios?

This is android only, the people working on this have no plans to make an ios version & they legally can't put it on the app store especially since this is a fan revival of an official app that Bandai owns the rights to

>The game at the Tama Depa Shop crashed when I was suppose to get my points

The game is known to do that & I don't think there's a way to fix it. Your score will be counted though, if you want to play the game without it crashing there's a reskin of it in the main menu/home area if you press "Family Play" it doesn't freeze at the end

>Can I make an account/where is my ID & password?

No the app makes one for you(if you delete the app & reinstall it or put it on another device it gives you a new one), just go to settings then check profile & click on your character's talking bubble.(Tamagotchi On ID) Password is in "Challenge" on the home menu(scroll to the bottom), you put these in on the MixingMeet website. The account is only used for keeping track of your family trees & your TamaDex.(Something just for fun to track what genes you got from the Tamagotchi available on the app)

>Can I transfer my account?

You are unable to transfer your account from one device to the other. The app will make you a new account on the new device & there's not much that can be done. You can still link your discord to both accounts though which I dunno if that helps past knowing which accounts belong to this person.

>Can I request certain characters?

The people working on it & the Discord Mods have mentioned they aren't accepting requests. Tamagotchi available are ones from the stations & from contests on the official app. Characters from Magic & Fairy are considered common so aren't showing up, Sanrio & Wonder Garden/Fantasy tamas were in a contest at some point(at least according to one answer) plus it's hard to get some of the devices so they're on the app. I might be off but this is from what I know from some stuff

>Someone rejected my proposal

Sometimes there's an error or someone was unable to answer quick enough. Just try again & if they reject you again try someone else.

>I'm having connection issues

Make sure bluetooth & locations are on. If that isn't the issue you might need to try reconnecting a few times cause sometimes you need to try again. If that doesn't work then ask someone on the discord server cause they can help you better.

>How do I tell if someone is an NPC?

You can check their family tree & if it's blank then they're an NPC. Users' tamas have a thing above them that shows the amount of likes they get while in the app.(The likes don't stay, likes, friends lists & saved tamas don't stay when you go into the app next)

>Do the NPCs change?

They change every 2 hours, you can check on the MixingMeets website.(Don't need to login to check) You can also see all the available tamas at the bottom of the same page.

>Do you know what the app works on?

I only added this to make one bit above more cleaned up. Keep in mind I don't know phones so I'm going off info. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 works, Retroid Pocket 3+ works but do not buy it if you only want it for this app. Someone asked about Samsung s24 but I guess it's a newer phone cause someone that knows better said the app doesn't work properly on newer phones. Someone mentioned Nexus 7 work but take that with a grain of salt. Kindle Fire does not work, some people tried to see if it'd work but someone said it didn't work.

Did you say “Valid as fuck excuse to retire from heroing”? Because that’s what he heard.

This man would be popping bottles if it wouldn’t hurt his new internal tamagotchi.

Immediately sends a mass email telling everyone he knows from the association so they won’t worry when he doesn’t show up to meetings. (And also so they don’t ask him to.)

Because of his previous career as a hero and living below his means for so long he has quite a lot of money saved up and is quick to make an elaborate budget and start looking up larger residences. 

His general reaction will be positive regardless of whether he’s happily married and the baby was planned or if this was the result of a random hook up.

The only things that change are his nanny budget and what he tells the press. If this was a hookup baby then he’s telling every reporter that asks about the father that they were an “Anonymous donor” which isn’t really a lie, technically.

*Deep breath* AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Immediately rushes to the doctor, not to get rid of it but to make sure his powers aren’t going to mess with the baby.

The answer is yes and no. His regenerative powers are causing seriously accelerated cell growth, but his reproductive system has dealt with that by splitting the initial zygote into multiple babies and growing them faster than normal. Repeat screaming.

He’s only going through with this if he’s already mated and moved in with his alpha, otherwise it would be totally irresponsible of him to keep multiple babies.

He loves his kids more than anything but he 100% has the worst pregnancy experience, all the symptoms are magnified, all the medicine he’s given doesn’t get processed properly by his body so it’s useless, he gets so hungry so fast he almost takes a bite out of his alpha and suddenly everyone is allergic to minding their own damn business.

Ends up taking something more like an extended vacation than retiring, he recovers from everything too quickly to justify to himself not going out and saving people.

Genos

Has to have a test tube baby since he’s basically just a brain in a hunk of metal.

“Damn, this is gonna be expensive.” 

Has a very delayed reaction to the whole thing, it’s totally possible it won’t fully sink in that he’s a mom until he’s holding a whole baby in his arms.

In the meantime he’s just living his life about the same as he always was minus alcohol and sushi.

He’ll be 8 months pregnant and punching aliens into oblivion.

Wins award for most clueless new mom. Maternal instincts of a brick this one.

He just needed time to figure out how to fit a baby into his life mentally(if not practically.)

Has no idea what he’s doing but like a true Gen Z parent he’s doing what the internet tells him to.

Googling “Who has the happiest kids?” Followed by “Netherlands parenting” followed by “How to routine”

Garou honestly has to double check he’s still pregnant once in a while, his body doesn’t start noticeably changing until the final trimester and his symptoms are very mild. He didn’t even have any kind of morning sickness.

Fully committed to giving birth at home in his bathtub because he thinks the government will show up to take his baby and train it to be a super soldier or something and he’ll never see them again. Saitama said that “sounds like something the government would do.” While they were randomly getting udon together one day. Saitama’s emails from the hero association get a lot more passive aggressive after that, not that he notices.

Izuru Kira:

Yes. Absolutely. He’s been waiting for you to join the pool since the moment your model leaked. He joined the fanfiction contest to win your merch (and loses). The rush of joy from hearing your voice line when he pulls you brings tears to his eyes and he absolutely ignores how concerning that is.

Akon:

He will and he’ll shamelessy whale. He’s too busy to farm currency and it’s not like he’s strapped for cash. 100% he’s working on a VR model of you as soon as you’re announced. You’re always on the team no matter how useless you are on a given mission or level because he loves a challenge.

Shuhei Hisagi:

He blames the fuck out of Izuru and Akon for getting him addicted to the game—and worse, excited about a bunch of pixels. But he is, so excited. He joins the fanfiction contest for you (and wins). And he sacrifices half a week of lunches to pull you. Your phone charm is proudly displayed. He is wrangled into even more debt to Urahara for the merch conversion.

Rangiku Matsumoto:

She saw Shuhei’s phone charm, thought it was really cute, and loves the idea of a phone game to pass the time during all the time passing she does on the clock. She gets you on her first pull and shows Shuhei. “Look, it’s just like your cute little phone charm!” Her rng luck is so insane that both Shuhei and Izuru have her pull for them (it doesn’t rub off).

Nanao Ise:

Although she very much did not appreciate Rangiku downloading a game on her phone, she did give it a chance. In secret. Facing away from any windows. She doesn’t care much for the gacha aspect, but finds the game play passable. She diligently does her dailies & events and that’s it. It’s alright stress relief. You go unpulled.

Shunsui Kyoraku:

Shunsui easily finds his way into Nanao’s phone and discovers your game sitting right next to a shogi app. He downloads it and is delighted by all the characters! He doesn’t understand how to play but skids through the tutorial. He pulls for you, fails, and doesn’t understand how to pay for currency. He does take a screenshot of you and ask Nanao ‘Let me borrow them from you!’ He barely escapes alive.

Harribel Tier:

Shunsui flaunts your game around in their monthly Peace meeting and she demands an upgraded soul phone. Much like Shunsui, she doesn’t understand the game. But she wants to pull for you. Her three adjuchas bicker endlessly over small print until they figure out how to pull and the most effective way to pull in consideration to chance percentages. She treats you like a tamagotchi (that needs no care and doesn’t die).

First messaging app: does anyone remember kik? It was the popular app when I was in high school. I had one because the Cool Kids told me I needed one and then used it maybe twice, lol.

Pickles, yes or no: yes! The electrolytes and health benefits from fermentation are so helpful for my stomach issues. I used to buy gigantic jars of the big sour dill ones to snack on.

Favorite mythical creature: oooh, this is tough. I was a big fan of alicorns and unicorns as a kid. These days, I’m into dragons, kelpies, and mermaids. I adore animals, and that includes the mythical ones.

Longest book series you've read: I read all of the books set in the House of Night world as a teen. If we include novellas and spinoffs, I think there are almost twenty? The world-building intrigued me, but I didn’t really like most of the characters. Looking back now, those books are pretty problematic.

Playstation, Xbox, or Nintendo controller layout: PC gaming is my preference, actually. Gaming in general isn’t super accessible to me as a blind person. There are accommodations to make console gaming doable, but most of them are more trouble than they’re worth.

time to get out of bed: I’m usually up by 11am at the latest on the days my chronic illnesses are being kind to me. If not, I don’t force myself out of bed at a set time. If I’m really struggling, my sleep schedule will flip and I’ll transform into a nocturnal gremlin.

Did you ever have a Tamagotchi: Someone once gave me a used one as a Christmas present. It was already dead and I didn’t know how to, or if I could, undead it. That made me really sad. My autistic brain had already gotten attached to that little pixilated guy without even meeting it.

Started using the Finch app since apparently it’s especially good for neurodivergence when it comes to habit tracking and mood diary keeping, the stuff that will please my therapist.

Maybe the trick for my ADHD ass to do a chore is to give me a birb tamagotchi, name her Sprinkles and reward me with hats she can wear. Will it work long-term unlike so many other habit apps I’ve tried for a few weeks then dropped? i’m hoping i have money next month when the tamagotchi uni comes out. it looks really cute and i’m soooo glad they went back to regular buttons and basically abandoned all the gimmicky shit from the pix. the “tama verse” sounds like an in-device version of the meets app, not sure if i prefer that over a mobile app, will have to see how it plays. i also LOVE that it’s rechargeable, my On eats aaa’s like no ones business. i also really hope they eventually come out w/ a sanrio uni, tho i’m almost certain they will bc they’ve released sooooo many sanrio pets over the years. the TRUE miracle would be an english language sanrio tama.

Tamagotchi On Moments 10

Last of the current posts for the On/Meets before I take another break & work on Uni posts I need to catch up on.

All posts are for Gen17/Caketchi who is my current tamagotchi(unless I put new batteries in & marry her off but I'm not dealing with this right now)

This is from sending Caketchi to the app cause I wanted to make sure her hat was registered to the tamadex. After doing this I realized the app can predict what genes the tamagotchi will get as an adult for the tamadex as long as you haven't already gotten them before.

I'm saying this because I did not have the icon for Shimagurutchi that showed I had his accessory/back accessory/tail gene yet on the tamadex but after sending Caketchi to the app it showed I got his tail. The MixingMeets site shows that Caketchi is still a kid with no tail because I have yet to send her back to the app.

I failed to get pics for this except for the end scene, I'm guessing this is for a Japanese festival were you throw beans at onis(or well someone in an oni mask). Also guessing Caketchi was swinging around a paper fan cause she has an paper fan next to her.(I missed part of what happened then tried to get my phone camera)

Sorry for the quality, this section was the reason I kept part of the pics for the final post before another break. Caketchi got a dream sequence while sleeping, been a while since anyone got a dream.

Rearranged stuff so the last pic didn't end up alone since you can only have 3 images in 1 row.

Hope you enjoyed this, sorry for constantly mentioning I'm taking a break & if I'm lucky will finish up the Uni backlog then continue progress on finishing up available base device tama.

I'll see about returning to the On/Meets when I don't feel as tired.(And have a smaller backlog) I want to try showing more scenes & showing my work on filling the tamadex for MixingMeets.

So quick update, while cleaning up(removing the pics I posted from my phone) I found the last image of Caketchi I took before at some point the battery died, I missed it earlier.

It was for Girls Day/Doll Day, even though she's an adult it's fitting because Caketchi is a girl
