Daily Writing Challenge Feb 2025: Day 1 - Hypnotic/Star
As the sprawl of a celestial map unfolds before the magi's eyes with a slow wave of his hand, the details he observes is of awe and curiosity. His right forefinger reaches to trace a path to tap on a single glistening point and in a trance like mutter breathes: "When are you..." The celestial bodies continued to glisten in this living tapestry of direction as Talthorn attempts to decipher what he needs from this. "I've seen you before. I know I have...." he peers deeper into it all becoming entranced of how this had been familiar to him. The folds of memories overlap over and over as he tries to discover these answers until it finally hits that wall. The itch persists as he can practically -hear- the time of it all that rested here. This star existed! His own eyes bore witness to it.
Silence lingers within his observation room and the magi is bringing his knuckle to the center of his forehead to tap it in the pattern of threes. Then the pacing would begin in succession with the repetition of actions. His other hand now writing in invisible calculations within the air. Tap, tap, tap. Turn, walk four paces, turn. Tap, tap, tap. This methodical repetition helped focus his mind of the where he needed to be within it for those solutions he craved.
As the surge of arcane sparks in his fingertip he stops in one of those many paces and turns to his musical companion resting it their place of honor within his observatory study. Drawn in by its radiant, unspoken promises, Talthorn chooses to indulge in the instrument's enlightenment. The magi knew the price for it was the same every time. Gathering up violin and bow in a tender motion, his luminous eyes would begin to close as he allows this part of himself to envelop him. All of his fluid motions guide him to a different place and time....
youtube
The silence is broken with the first resonate and haunting note into the air and Talthorn cannot help but breathe it in. This was where it began. He could feel it underneath an unidentified moon from an ancient past. The cloud of distortion he had been trying to navigate through lingers and only becoming stronger as he reaches in deeper to the where and when he has to go in his mind.....
The pace of the calling notes change and they begin to follow another pattern with still this attempt at a coercion to let him SEE through this music the path of this hidden time. This longing as he As once again he is denied, he drags the note out longer to echo and his eyes crack open with a different approach.
Talthorn waged a new war with his musical patterns in the notes and battled the weight of this newfound distortion that kept closing him out. He pushes against being drown out by the impending resonance around the bombardment of his solo sound. This quickened dance over the strings with his bow were guiding him down a more non-linear thought process and allowing him to embrace this wavelet.
His eyes shoot fully open again and he plays directly as this foreign chart before him with determination and purpose. The rows back and forth of intensity and volume were wavering on a these unseen scales. Losing himself to the organized chaos of this music was sensational. The strikes with its continued with his perceive shift and in these imperfect tones would have that encasement of these memories crackle and fracture until finally! It shatters realization and grand epiphany! Holding out the long note in gratitude, he held his answer and let the memory flood his mind.
As the celestial map continues to glimmer before him, he smiles warmly as his heart aches. This heavenly body may have faded from sight in this age, but tonight he would serenade the star properly. His own vow to have it remembered even if its light could no longer be seen.... @daily-writing-challenge

@daily-writing-challenge - Aug 2024 - Day 2 - Tenderness
Nahi sat comfortably on one of the log benches nearer to the back of the circle arranged for this special gathering, legs stretched out in front of her, heels digging into the snow and gravel. As probably half the tournament knew by this point, she had no problem being out front proudly sharing her enthusiasm for the performers, but this gathering was for the hosts and that dimmed the vibrancy her excitement through the week sparked.
Trist called Kon and Tal not-dads, which made her laugh, but in many ways they exuded that quality, even this gathering fit the description of family meals she heard others talk about. The welcoming warmth of dinner for their friends was something she felt every time she was with them… Uncles maybe? Big brothers? No label was really needed, but they were locking themselves into special place in her heart.
Her recognition this week that she was missing intimacy in her life was eased by the welcoming nature of this group and others she was getting to know better within the performance community. Nahi had known once she and her mother left the keep, that she would be isolating herself, she let Iren in, but she had little choice in that because his love for her mother ended up enveloping her. The decision to step from her comfort zone of Dalaran to begin performing at the Hearts of Tenacity Festival had born fruit in this unexpected way and altered much of her exterior life.
The whole week so far made her brain spark with community, it was on the edge of overwhelming, even for her outgoing nature. There were so many talented people she wanted to sit and talk to. She loved listening to the creative souls, with her newly recovered desire to open up some of her life, she had tried to initiate a way to get to know as many as she could. It was a hard line to find and not cross, the desire to get to know someone in this way versus her wanting to get to know the beautiful bartender at the Orchid club in Dalaran.
Trist’s arrival pulled her from the woolgathering and people watching she had been doing to begin to chat, they were one of the people she had been thinking about. A budding friendship to help color a life she had not realized had drained to grayscale
(A big thank you to the supportive performing community that showed out at ToA! I was very proud to be counted among your ranks this year.)
(Edit: Tagging @konietzko-sylvoran and @talthorn-sylvoran for their wonderful inspiration in this and their support in so much! And @tristayranambrosio because, much love always)

November DWC Day 3 - Forest/Morality
Tumblr media
✧✧✧ Journey into Eromai Epolomono ✧✧✧
Chapter 2
-Written by Ra’hsen
“Ru’lan let go.”
The feathered raptor did not release. Trapped between those sharpened fangs rested an elaborately carved beam of wood once intended to accent the training room walls. Now it proved to be the perfect chew toy for a rebellious ravasaur.
“Drop it.” Ra’hsen gestured down toward the floor mirroring the basic training he’d been given before the Syl’voran’s disappearance. Part of him wondered if the two would delight in knowing their precious son had helped decorate with his own artistic sense. He’d have to save it just in case, that is if he could get Ru’lan to release.
The Reverend settled on his knees and stared into those vast but fierce eyes for a time. A fearless hand firmly gripped the beam mere centimeters from Ru’lan’s teeth. Moist and hot breath escaped the creature's nose and mouth before answering Ra’hsen’s command with a snort. Down the beam fell with a thud.
This hadn’t been the first time the now fully grown raptor had decided to throw a fit, nor would it likely be the last. Ra’hsen picked up the beam and moved it into a spot Ru’lan would at least have difficulty climbing to. His single sliver eye peered at his pacing housemate, those large talons had worn a path into the once grassy play area.  In adults and children alike destructive tendencies were a sign of stress, as was pacing. He stepped forward and held out a flat hand to signal his intentions. After a brief moment of hesitation Ru’lan stepped forward and rested his chin upon the hand. Ra’hsen smiled and ran his free hand over their nose toward the mane of feathers. His expression darkened for a moment as he felt around and pulled away, loose feathers.
“Seems as if house life is not for big boys now is it, Ru’lan?” The priest continued to pet the raptor for a time. “How about we schedule you a little vacation, hm? A chance to roam the forest with your buddies?”
Ru’lan’s excited tail swatted against the ground.
Still, it didn’t answer the cause of the creature’s distress. No child be it man or dinosaur thrived without their parents. Ru’lan may have been adult grown but his actions were no better than a teenager first discovering how to talk back. Not to mention his particular species were known to be family driven and extremely social creatures. While Ra’hsen had plenty of experience raising and training avians, raptor’s distant descendants, they were still entirely different species. With a deep breath he walked into the cabin, Ru’lan followed close behind.
Ra’hsen had finally gotten used to climbing their stairs without second guessing his next step. At some point everything snapped into place, perhaps after his thirtieth day tending to their rose bushes. A distant gaze fell upon the unlit living space as light only trickled in the windows. Specks of dust danced in the evening sun’s rays and reminded the priest of his need to clean. Time for another winter clean it seemed.
A smirk formed on his lips. It’d be just like them to arrive days before Winterveil with gifts in hand to apologize for their delay. It’d be what, two years without a holiday? The thought left a pang in his chest as he sat beside the table. Two years without Rowan. Two years without his dear friends. Two years spent staring at a bracelet that flickered once every several moons. Two years going on two centuries of endless waiting and stagnation. His loneliness gradually shifted to silent anger as his palm curled into a fist.
Elven mortality was a funny thought. For some two years were nothing more than a blink of an eye. An entire mortal life could flutter into existence, bare children, grandchildren, and flicker out as an elf barely began their youth. While others mirrored their shorter lived brethren with lives a few years longer than a human’s. The Reverend just happened to be the lucky, or unlucky one who inherited those longer lives. He’d begun to witness his mate lose his life before him. The pale face he loved already showed signs of aging despite elven blood rushing through Rowan’s veins as well. Perhaps Ra’hsen should have counted his passing as a blessing, but his absence still weighed over him greater than the two who’s house he sat in that very moment. The same two who would witness his own aging with time as youth continued to cling to their features.
Stuck in the Reverend’s mind the already lonely raptor did not handle being ignored. In some ways Ra’hsen could see where his avian friends learned their ego. Perhaps it was in the very same blood that the two species shared. Still, Ru’lan showed more compassion than the priest’s proud birds. Ru’lan pressed his nose against and peered up with confused vibrant blue eyes. Eyes that reminded Ra’hsen of the ocean and his late fiancé.
“Apologies,” he whispered as his fist unwrapped and once again ran over the raptor’s head. “I didn’t mean anything to you, dear.”
Ru’lan’s chin rested on the Reverend’s lap and yawned. Ra’hsen supposed Ru’lan wasn’t the only one missing someone. He stared at the quill and paper across the table out of reach. Maybe the sleepy one had the right idea, it was time for a nap. He could write Bellana in a few hours if not the morning.

Lunathas Contracts
Tumblr media
Breaking and entering, not something new for him but it was the first time he had done so with a client he was bodyguarding. The Howling Owl’s employee apartments were not hard to break into, especially when this one left the balcony door unlocked. With the shadows wrapped tightly around him he snuck in and did a full sweep to make sure the apartment was secure before letting Beaureve sneak inside too. Of course due to the sweep and the small size of the apartment it was easy to tell that noone was home.
It had been a few years since he and Konietzko had last spoken, this was not how he’d have guessed they’d reunite, if at all. It was also not in a place like this that he’d expect to find him. Keeping to the shadows he witnessed as his new client chose not to poke and prod around the apartment much at all but took right to the sofa and curled up. He had not been guarding him for long yet, but he did wonder if this sort of nuance was typical of him. They both waited in silence for the Kaldorei to arrive home and since he was hidden in the shadows himself, there was no conversation between him and his client. He watched as the time passed and Beaureve fell fast asleep on that sofa as if stress and current events in his life had caught up with him.    It was well into the night when the door opened and Kon arrived home, stepping down the hallway and passing by the entryway right into the kitchen without even looking into the living room as why would he? He turned on a light in the kitchen and started a kettle making some tea as he began washing his hands. The shadow in the room witnessed his first look at the Kaldorei after this time without his knowing. He looked tired and a bit fatigued but not due to poor health. If anything his health seemed to have increased greatly since they last met. He must have just returned from some sort of physical activity as he was still a bit dark in the cheeks, chest and ears from a good workout and was tending to blisters on his hand. Interesting.
Beaureve was starting to wake from the sounds in the kitchen as Konietzko put the tea on the stove and started to walk into the living room, stopping dead in his tracks with a double take to the sofa when he saw the moving body of the Shal’dorei waking up from his nap. Stone steadied himself, tucked in the shadows just behind him ready to stop him at a moment’s indication he might try to harm his client. Beyond an understandable startle he didn’t, he just jerked and stared. “Took you long enough.” Beaureve said stifling a small yawn as he rubbed at his eyes. “I mean… welcome home.”
“Well, I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience!” Kon replied with a mix of humor and shock both  as he looked Beaureve over closely before opting to go to the chair next to the sofa. “Had I known I was playing host I would not have stayed so late practicing my routine. Now tell me…  to what do I owe the honor of this…” He motioned to the balcony. “... break-in?”
With a smirk breaking over his lips, Beaureve just smiled. “You are forgiven. This time.” He said perfectly aware he was in the wrong but calmly combed out his hair as he sat there pleasantly. “Well it’s my lucky day I suppose, you’ve taught me a valuable lesson.” Kon said walking then over to the balcony door and pulling aside the curtains slowly looking outside. He’d close the door then slowly, pursing his lips as if he was looking for something. “I need to invest in better locks, or lock the door at all it would seem.” He said somewhat bemused yet he turned around and looked about the room with a slow gaze of his amber eyes. “Practice? Routine? Mm, so you’re turning your aspirations into reality. That’s rather wonderful to hear.” Beaureve said as he watched. “And in my defense, I did try to knock on the door first. However, after coming all this way with noone to answer? It was in my best interest to see if there was a way to wait inside.” The priest said only telling part of the story but it was enough. “And with how many letters I had to write up in order to actually receive word and meeting arrangements… I preferred a more direct approach.” He smirked. “You don’t mind. We can speak a bit now.” the priest said not leaving this open ended.
Kon stepped back over to the couch then and would find the chair to sit in as he tried to piece this all together. “Perhaps you came here seeking Talthorn? He is here often lately I’ll admit but not when I’m gone.” He said eyeing the priest a little suspiciously but he was far calmer about it than Talthorn had been. “Did you seek my contact I gave you?” He asked resisting the urge to look around the room once more. “No. I am here to see you.” The priest says bluntly. “Yes. I did.” He replied to the latter question before moving right along. “Now we can officially make arrangements. As promised. When are you available?”
Kon stared at Beaureve and his audacity with a small smirk. “I suppose I can’t be upset considering how Talthorn did choose to ignore your letters till I found them. As much as I love him dearly he has his reasons for acting as he did. But I am not him.” He pointed out as he thought a moment before responding. “You did?” He redirected the conversation back to the point on the contact. “And did he accept?” Beaureve seemed pleasantly welcome to this information and eager to ask more. “Are these reasons that you are willing to share at all?” he asked before Kon redirected the conversation. “He did. Very interesting man. This contact of yours. We’ve made a good business arrangement. Thank you again for your recommendation. I aspire to have a meeting with my issue whenever he gets my word. In the next few days most likely.” Kon knew who he was talking about with this recent issue. Well he more knew -of- them from what Beaureve and Talthorn both had told him of that incident that left Beaureve wounded and carried to the healer’s ward after Talthorn had saved him. Even the shadow in the room knew the details enough to understand this comment and where it was going. “Talthorn’s secrets are his own to share. I will only say for whatever it’s worth that his… mistrust is a valid one.” Kon looked right to Beaureve then. “Even if you were not the cause for them, just a trigger. But that is all the more I will say. If you want trust or his truths? That’s going to take time Beaureve. Time, and a significant lack of your magic. But in that too I will say no more. I’ve only said this much in the interest of trying to make this easier. For both of you.” Kon explained rubbing at his palms and the ache within them as he sighed and looked to the side. “So, the contract was made. That is good, though forgive me if I wish to make certain.” Kon said oddly as he raised his head then and would stare Beaureve right in the eyes as he spoke out louder. “Show yourself, old friend.”
Beaureve listened closely and drew in a slow breath. He was taking much from these statements but why? Why was there mistrust?! The priest was eager to figure that out. When he realized what Kon had said just then, however, he added in his own command in case his bodyguard was truly as strict as not to do so unless ordered. “Hm? Oh. Of course. Yes, please reveal yourself, Stone.”
Tumblr media
No sooner than Beau had given the command, the shadows against the far wall on the other side of the dining room table would start to shift and lift as soon a voice was heard before the body was seen. Where Kon’s voice was deep and full of bass, his was low but more crisp and sharp. “While some things never change, some things… do. It has been a time, Kon.” The bodyguard stood leaning against the wall in full gear head to toe. Blades on his side and no doubt many more hidden throughout his attire. His face was masked, as always and those eyes as cold as winter skies peered right back at Kon’s as they made eye contact across the room.
For one who’s home was being invaded, Kon certainly didn’t seem too worked up over it. As his amber eyes met Stone’s, they softened just a bit. A hint of a sad  yet genuine smile almost shadowed along his face. How bittersweet this was. “Some things do indeed, though you are not one of those things I would ever ask to change. Please, come. Sit with us. You know he is in no danger here.” Kon said motioning to the couch next to Beaureve. Beaureve motioned to the couch as well. “Yes, join us.” He confirmed and watched the exchange between them, both seeming interested in this reunion between them. At first, Stone did not move. But eventually he pushed off form the wall to step over and stand at Beaureve’s side.
“Quite the place here, I see you’ve returned to the club scene afterall?” Stone quipped as he looked firmly down at Kon having already done his research on this place before they arrived.
"I have, though not intentionally at first. But after my seclusion from the world and the dream therapy it seems... I was ready to come back. Though certainly not with such old habits as I indulged in before. Of that... I endeavor to stray from as much as possible." His eyes then flicked to Beaureve well aware he was listening and oddly enough, he didn't seem to mind. ``I think you'll come to agree in no time at all that Sivah would have liked this one. Perhaps even -you- will." He playfully smirked towards Stone.
Beaureve enjoyed collecting the information he could, seeing how they both reacted with one another. He wears his smile and finds the details intriguing but blinks at the mention here. "Sivah? Who is that? And why would they like me? " he tips his head and looks back to Stone. Stone met his gaze. “Sivandris Lumenstone, owner of the Starcaller Lure and heir to the Lumenstone Estate.” He told him as if just reciting information. “He had a way about collecting rare gems, like yourself. And each of them came with their own troubles that I always had the privilege of helping sort.” And that was all the more Stone seemed willing to share. As Stone had decided that was all the more that needed said, Kon and Beaureve spent the rest of the night discussing how their arrangement would work. As Talthorn was to give Beaureve a date of his choosing once a month, Kon would under the same rules to help make up for Talthorn’s lack of his part of the deal in the beginning of their original arrangement. By doing so Talthorn would have the ease that Beaureve would no longer be trying to sell his rare drug to anyone of the Tarts nor of the Owl so long as it was a function put on by either group or when in Talthorn’s presence. It was an exchange no one would ever know even had taken place, all for the comfort that Talthorn could protect his friends and fellow entertainers from this mind-altering drug that he had no power to stop him from creating. However, Kon saw it fit by the end of this meeting here in his home to call Beaureve out. To him, this seemed like an overly complicated agreement in contract that they would be meeting as friends to do things that friends would willingly do without a contract because they were… friends? But to Beaureve that was not the case at all. He could not understand the concept of friends so to him this was a contract and he expected it to be upheld. Despite having his point made, Kon agreed and pushed the subject no longer. The entire exchange was witnessed by Stone, but he said nothing during it. Just observed in complete silence as he did for most his guard detail he’d signed on for with Beaureve. It was not his job to state his thoughts nor opinions on any matters Beaureve had to deal with. It was only his job to ensure his safety. Thankfully, one could do that with very little said as he was not one for idle conversation. Ever. But he did not think he’d be meeting Kon again, let alone under such circumstances. It was interesting how life had a way of bringing things left unresolved back around. Even among former friends. Stone came to realize much had changed for the Kaldorei, not all but there was something very significant that he noticed right away in Kon that had not been there before. He’d come a long way on the road to recovery, and in doing so had begun truly turning his life around for the better. While Stone did not intend to be his ‘friend’ at that time and just to let everything go and move on, he was curious enough to see just where this would all lead for his current client’s future. Beaureve had alot to experience now in his ‘free’  life. Stone wasn’t so certain that experiencing it through Kon and the others he was associated with was the best way, but he wasn't paid to give his thoughts nor opinions on those matters either. They were invalid. At that time, he had only one job to do. And when the threat returned, he would do it. After that, the priest was on his own.
“Next week. At the same point we met before in Suramar. Wear something similar to that. You seem very comfortable. I’ll take care of the rest.” Beuareve said to the expectant Kaldorei as he rose to leave. Kon took a slow breath in and let it back out as he nodded his head once. “A word to the wise Beaureve, what Talthorn and I want is not always what others think. But I can easily see the same could be said for you.” The Kaldorei’s eyes shifted back to Stonel then. “You are going to have your hands full with this one.” Stone drew his gaze to Kon, “You’ve never been one to make my job easy. But we both know, that is where I thrive.” “Oh I do.” Kon said with a laugh and a smirk to follow as he watched them both turn to leave. “It will be quite the… learning experience.” He teased at Beaureve before flashing Stone a knowing look. As usual, he got no response from Stone, just that stone-faced stare before he turned away and escorted Beaureve out. “Next week then.” Kon said as he watched them go and looked to the couch in thought. Maybe he would omit that part to Talthorn; he doubted his love would ever be able to let go the thought of Beaureve breaking into his apartment. What a little shit.
((A former rp from last year recapped in a shorter format though it still includes both our writing. A fun look at the beginnings of Talthorn, Kon, Beaureve and Rami’s friendship that few know about. While the rp has gone places none of us could imagine at that time, it has been a real trip to reflect back to this rp and the reunion of Kon and Stone as witnessed by Beau. Mentions too @beaureve-lunathas , @talthorn-sylvoran , @konietzko-lumenstone ))

Celestial Threads
youtube
The magi always appreciated Kon's gentleman way about him and would indeed delightfully follow the other down the hall with a smirk, he was ever so curious! He had really nothing to guess on what this something could be this elf wanted to show him that he had wanted to? Tal goes to sit on the bed keeping his eyes on his mate. "So am I allowed to ask questions about this something you wanted to show me? Ooor do I get any hiiiiints?" he bites at his lip in thought. Maybe he could tell something with what he was doing.
Placing his boots inside the closet, Kon smirked, happy still to be teasing him so knowing it was eating his magi up inside with curiosity. But he adored this part of Talthorn, so he liked to bring it out in him whenever he could. And it showed with the way he was smiling as he rustled around in the closet reaching further inside near the top and pulling a rather large looooooooong box down from it. It looked almost as long as Kon was tall! He carried it over to the bedside then and smiled at Talthorn as he would set it down beside him. "A gift, I had hoped to give you when a special moment or date night occurred but the truth is Talthorn, every moment with you is special to me. So I hope you might like it even so." He said as he would smile at him, watching him as he would step over to the doorway for some reason and waited.
Talthorn watched Konietzko with billowing curiosity as his mind really did try to figure out what this something could possibly be. He visibly squirms, his fingers attempting to fold in with each other as he attempts to be graceful about it all. Instead they wiggle about and he peeks this way and that! What....what was he looking for? As the venatic does find it, the magi takes in a gulp of air and looks in amazement when the man brings it over. The look on his face said it all! Already he was clearly surprised. His silver eyes scanned over this looong box and his mouth dropped open slowly. Tal looked up when his beau spoke and he blinked a few times in response. "You....this is for.....me?" The magi absorbed that this was for something special?! How long had Konietzko had it?! He looked to smile back bright to the other to ask if now was okay? But seeing him step to the doorway only had him even more curious. What had he acquired? "Well, I am honored, my eromai. And I agree with all of my soul, that every moment with you is also special to me...." he spoke in a tender tone and would move to unwrap this gift completely taken back inside about the very gesture. Kon had to have known any sort of gift would be appreciated, but it seemed he did wish to make quite the impression. There is a definite excitement in his face and demeanor as he moved to discover what it was!
Inside was a custom made full length body pillow. The tag on it had Celestial Threads on it, and the giant scenescape across the pillow was that of a particular set of stars that felt familiar almost. It was the starry sky that Kon held within his amulet as best as one could recreate into a pillow. But in this scenescape was a bright moon and a string of stars were circling the moon like they were dancing around it. Inside the box was a wand as well meant to activate the enchanted silken thread of the starscape that was sewn into the pillow as Bella had gone out of her way to make this perfect for Kon's gift.
Talthorn noticed the tag and grinned at it a moment before pulling it out of the box to inspect it. His expression changed to more surprise when he saw the scene on it. "This is....!!" he brought a hand to his mouth. The universe! -Their- universe! And more still? This moon and stars. "Oh, Konietzko.....it's....." he might have choked up right there but his eyes catch the wand in the box. What....? There was more? An examination of it and he did know. He looked over to Kon as when he saw Talthorn reach for the wand, he'd turn the lights off along the wall where he stood so only the moonlight from outside trickled in as he smiled towards his magi. Talthorn felt himself tremble in the dark with the moonlight outside being the only light in this room. The magi moved the wand to his lips. "Let there be starlight...." he spoke softly as if casting a spell and tapped it to watch the scene dance now. Talthorn gave out a couple loud, emotional bouts of laughter when he saw this come to life. His glimmering gaze flickered in life and wonder! He couldn't believe it! Looking over to his beloved with pure, unbridled love and true happiness. "Phenomenal!" he spoke his soul out to the man that brought this gift to him, more than the gift itself. "I....don't know what to say....! Except...!" he blinked from where he was, and left the pillow to glimmer in the dark so he could jump into this man's arms. "Thank you! For bringing more of our universe to life." he choked up now, in this hold over Konietzko. He caught Talthorn in his arms and warmly laughed with him as the moonlit room with their universe twinkling along the bed beside them was truly a moment in time he would not forget. He would intimately hold his magi tight, head against his as he started to quietly hum the tune that  played on the music box the night of their first dance. His voice while deep could carry the tune well as if he'd hummed along to it many times now. And slowly, he'd start to sway and dance with him there in that room just as they had danced that night under the stars that meant most to Talthorn and he.  Talthorn would snuggle in more, trying to rush that fluster of emotion of happy tears away so he could speak again! To his dismay it would only be amplified with how his mate would quietly hum the tune of their first dance. He would have moments of laughter and he danced with this man once more. He wished he could hum along with him, but he had to just trust the other to take the full tune with that gorgeous voice of his as his own just could not. How! How was this man so incredible! He wanted to ask him but he was so caught up in the moment. He would gather up the man's face again, to kiss him with hot lips from almost bursting into happy tears. "I love you, Konietzko...."

( Ahahaha! I loved this. This is ever such an amazing and sweet read friend. Give Talthorn five minutes with this producer, and he will have convinced him numbers for top ten are not necessary. Because everyone nominated are all winners. Then probably talked all the chosen into all posing for a limited sexy edition fashion/pin up magazine, featuring scenes on the Dragon Isles. )
Hottest Kaldorei Men, 2
Tumblr media
Al: *strolls into the Daily Mail Dalaran studio, with a huge grin on his face*
Sharpen: Yo.
Al: What are you doing here, you big ape? Don't tell me you're on the Top Ten Hottest Kaldorei Men list, too?
Sharpen: Yep, I'm basically out to crush your dreams. Again.
Al: *glints at the other man* So this is some kind of revenge. You're not actually a real nominee for hottest Kaldorei man?
Sharpen: Seems like you invented one of your conspiracy theories to prop up this painful reality you suddenly can't cope with, but ok. You do that.
Al: You shouldn't be that smart, Sharpen.
Sharpen: Oh crap! Look who just walked in!
Al: I know, I see it. This is so worse than Malfurion or even Illidan joining the competition. Oh goddess, this is awful. What a kick to my self esteem, too.
Sharpen: Those two are so gorgeous and talented. They sing, you know.
Al: And they dance. Like angels! How could this be happening to us?
Producer: Kon! Tal! So wonderful of you to grace us with your presence this evening. Glad you could make it...
Al: We're definitely going to lose. Wait. Are they... sparkling? Is that glitter?
Sharpen: I'm just. Just devastated.

DWC: Day IV
CHILDREN & VISION @daily-writing-challenge MENTIONS: Elinore Hartwell, @konietzko-sylvoran, @talthorn-sylvoran
Tumblr media
“Oh, perfect timing, cherub; here.”
Lance’s aunt Odetha had turned in her chair upon hearing those two tinkering bells over the door signal the arrival of the only other person with a key to the workshop. “Test this for me, would you?” She stood, wiped off any loose dust amongst wooden curls from her apron, and picked up a newly-completed violin beside her desk to hand her nephew.
“Is there a bow for it?” His knapsack was set down so the instrument could be taken and looked over with scrutinous admiration.
She picked that up as well. “Just your standard sort. This is meant for a beginner so I do not believe they will be as picky about certain sounds coming from different fibers as you.” When Lance wrinkled his nose a little at that, she shortly chuckled, “Understandably picky. That is a compliment, honey. You know that.”
He’d already begun to glide through a few sampling scales and measures of pieces he liked to portray on new makes; those with extra vibrato, those with octave-jumping glissandos, those with a bit of plucking, and those with exaggerated crescendos from near-silence to room-filling volume. Everything seemed to check out well enough. By the time he’d settled on contentment with their craft, he held it back out to her and gave a questioning look when he realized she’d been watching with her arms crossed. “What…?”
A tsk of a sigh passed her lips when slowly taking the violin to its hanging post and one beside it that had its varnish dried was taken down in its place. “When will you play for people other than me?”
Not this again. Lance was the one then sighing and moving to his distracting corner of the room where he could help trim and sand a form of Uldum rosewood awaiting its next steps in the making of a guitar.
Noting his silence, she pressed the issue with a playful, “People like that pianist you saw—what was her name, Lianna?”
“Elinore...” Ears warmed. Maybe he had talked about her a bit too much after the beach event, but that was the first time he’d ever watched someone do what Odetha wished he would, so how could he not be enthralled? No singing, no dancing, no special effects, just her and the piano playing whatever her heart desired for a crowd that surprised him with its receptiveness.
His number one fear had been and would always be boring people with classical pieces. What were those trying to show off their bodies in risky date clothes on a dance floor supposed to do with slow pieces of music void of strobe lights or remix effects or… anything? Elinore played the piano beautifully as a solo artist and many seemed to love it; that feat sat in his mind hourly ever since. It may not have roped in the amount of hype and fans that those like dear Konietzko and Talthorn could, but… he didn’t think he'd be able to handle popularity like that to begin with let alone deserve it. It’d never been an achievable vision of his.
Odetha, though, regularly echoed to him that her last bucket list wish was to watch him perform for the people of Azeroth. He hated such a cue for two reasons; one, because he’d struggled to grasp the idea of confidently manning a stage by himself since birth, and two, because the list reminded him of her age and dawning life slowly but surely creeping towards its end. This would mark the first year her hair had completed graying and the first year he’d had to start taking the reality of claiming the Cellody brand as its heir seriously. She never had children of her own nor married so they were the only family one another had left.
“Yes, yes—Elinore. Your talent is not unlike hers or your mothers and I just… I just ache so severely to think that your name may never find its place in history books because you neglected all your life to share your Light-given gift. You were a prodigy long before you even understood what music as a concept was. You deserve recognition beyond just being a luthier.”
“It is not just being a luthier,” he frowned. “I love what we do…”
She’d sat back down a while ago to resume applying their signature to the violin’s back but paused, then, to re-do the bun in her hair. “Maybe you could think of it as advertising, then. Let others know that instruments are not impossible to come by and that anyone can learn.”
Another wrinkle of the nose. Lance imagined ending a performance with an awkward business proposal was even worse than the idea of performing at all.
“Your father fell for your mother’s perfect pitch, you know.”
Lance stopped shaving wood with a pout aimed across the shop. “I know. It sounds so much more romantic in stories, though; any time I picture someone liking me just because of my playing… it feels wrong.”
“If that was how it remained, yes, that could be skeevy. But more often than not it simply introduces two people; then they find other reasons to connect amidst similar interests and remain a couple.” She met his pout with a cheeky smile. “If you would not play for a crowd nor in my or your parents’ honor, would you play for love~?”
That shut him up. He’d been rather quiet to begin with and always was when this subject came about, but she knew she’d struck a good note with that thus resumed her task and left him to stew in meditative offense (since his pet peeve was having her assume he wouldn’t play for familial honor).
...Or was it consideration?

Recommend us 5 rp blogs
I'm going to go ahead and be biased with this and recommend some blogs of friends of mine. First one that comes to mind is @thalsianiii. The player is a menace, but he's bring a fresh perspective on things imo, and he's hilarious. Though I love his character @orinous more. @trixcuomo is also a very silly person but I love her so much. I rp more with her character @sharpen-jadescythe, but she writes all these stories all the day, but most of them get posted up on her Trixy blog I think. I would feel bad for mentioning one and not the other, so these two are going to be mentioned. @konietzko-lumenstone and @talthorn-sylvoran are two peas in a pod, and they put on some amazing shows together! Not to mention the writings they've done for past writing challenges. Speaking of writing challenges, I'm actually going to bring one up. @daily-writing-challenge was set up last year by some people I know, we did a 30 day challenge, and it was a lot of fun. Plus they also reblog submissions done by others who participated, so if anything I recommend going through there to check out some blogs. Hoping they do another this year! Thanks anon!

What an interesting week it has been for me, I felt it was finally time I sit down and get this all on paper and yet I once again struggle with deciding what I would like to add as thoughts crash around in my mind. I often feel this helps me come to a more gradual and clean conclusion rather than to just flail about with my own emotions, so perhaps I should make a more conscious effort to keep this up…
To start with, I have had a lot more time off this week from bartending. Of course Key always lets me choose but having the free time has helped me to get more comfortable in this city. I am not sure the place as a whole feels like home yet, but the bar and the people I have met working it certainly do. I feel almost as though we are a small family, a group that constantly expands and welcomes others into its heart, making the bar a safe space in a city that can sometimes be harder to handle. That is not to say there are not odd days where we get very rude civilians or dreadful little cretins blow in our doors. I can only hope that at some point soon Key starts outsourcing us proper security, though I am certain that can be hard to find.
This week I also experienced my first ‘rave’ as the young ones call it, and I have found I do not like them. My brain considered the word ‘hate’ for such a description but perhaps that is just a bit too strong a usage. Dancing with friends was alright, Talthorn and Konitzko are rather good at that after all, but the whole environment was all just loud noise and voices. How anyone was able to think or know at all what was going on is beyond me. But as I mentioned, I was with friends, in fact they are truly the only reason I went and stayed at all to begin with. Aelranth, Valkyran, Kiyo, and Key all had to convince me not to flee the scene blubbering like an old fool barely even an hour in, which I suppose is an insight of its own into just how poorly I performed in such an environment.
But the moments of good I had were of course still special even if I ended my night crying by the hearth and pouting in my bed. It was lovely to see Talthorn and Konitzko again, even if part of me still does fear I made the night harder on them and their enjoyment. We danced together for a time and for maybe a few moments I could understand why they enjoyed wild parties like those beyond the dressing up and showing off. I do think their patience is incredible, and to let them comfort me felt good and even now their words still resonate in my ears. I think it best however, that in the future we go on a far more tamed outing, not a club full of bumping and grinding...I will have to write to them soon.
Speaking of writing however I did make a new friend. A Kaldorei man had made his way into our bar for a bit of good wine. At first I was rather shocked and perhaps somewhat confused, how on earth he had managed to worm his way through defenses was well beyond me. His name is Mythlan, a hunter from Darnassus before the burning. Due to some ruder patrons I invited him with me on a walk out in Eversong, and the two of us even swam together for a while. He reminds me a lot of Konitzko and Talthron, far more a free bird then I, but in that same breath he was great company. He told me of his wish to travel with the passing of such great loss, even asked me my favorite places I have seen. In doing so it seems we have made plans to venture to Azsuna on a vacation soon enough, though I would like to write to him and perhaps see him in the bar with proper safety in place to keep angry civilians at bay before all of that.
Truly I do not think I will ever grow tired of making new friends. Even if it does keep me oh so busy each day. I think that is really what life is all about. Hopefully I will return to these pages soon enough with more good news held so tightly in my heart, but until then…
I go into each day with love and my head held high!

Daily Writing Challenge Feb 2025: Day 2 - Cage/Power
Kicking the door open into his personal sanctuary away from time, Talthorn clutches the weakened form his small friend in arms. His wild, ragged look didn't suit the magi but it didn't matter to him as long as he was able to find the answer within his research to save this boy. After looking around this room that was in dire need of tending and cleaning, the door automatically closes he brings Ka'ness to the bed to rest in. It had not been touched or stirred in some time, but the magi would give to the other until he could conjure up something much better.
"Here. You can rest here....." Talthorn carefully puts down the boy and looks him over much as a physician. Observing how he was reacting to the concoction that he had made and administered.
"That is all I ever do is rest. I'd rather sit up if you don't mind, old man..." Ka'ness laughs at the other and looks over the area with curiosity. A good deal of the pain had been numbed, but breathing was still difficult. And of course the whole matter of not being able to walk anymore was a pain for someone that was so used to being as active as he was.
"I do mind." Talthorn speaks rather sternly and furrows his brows. And just as he gestures for the other to lie down, the boy begins with his questions.
"So you live here too?" Ka'ness asks and then his eyes enlarge seeing above him. He gestures toward the library archives above their heads, with the floating materials of many ages with amazement.
"Yes." The magi answers simply. "This is my...research area. A very boring place with nothing of interest." he lies not wanting the other to be distracted, but erks as the boy points upward to where the magical materials lingered and sorted themselves. "Yes, well. Perhaps there are a few things of note for someone not used to its properties."
The youth gives him an unimpressed look with his attempt at fibbing to him. "And what do you research in this boring place where there is nothing of interest?" he inquires as Talthorn looks like he push his head to get him to lie down.
"Boring things! A perfect place and time to sleep for now." The magi replies trying very hard to keep his composure so maybe he could convince his friend to rest! He had to get back to finding the answer to thi-
"I am not going to rest well until you tell me." Ka'ness says directly and continues to look around, already his breath stagger a bit.
Talthorn breathes out slowly as he weighs his options. Sleep potions were not beyond him, but he knew children had to be handled differently for more consistent results. He is already conducting spells on the side, to conjure water and have the bowl of it come to him with help of magic. His mutters to heat the liquid, so he could soak and ring out a cloth, he and Ka'ness meet eyes and have a sort of staring contest.
"This is my Sanctuary. A place where I observe, research and record the world's events and unravel their secrets." Talthorn speaks reluctantly at first, and offers the washcloth to his friend. "It's my true purpose and passion as you might know to a certain extent. Here I am granted the gift of extra time. You are the only visitor that has seen it."
As the boy freshens up a bit, he asks over the cloth. "By yourself. For years. Watching the world. Locked up in here." Ka'ness thinks about this with some hesitation in his glance. "You're right, that does sound boring. And lonely." he smirks at the magi. "Sounds more like a prison, than a Sanctuary."
"See? I told you, very b--" Talthorn jolts at this comments and speaks strongly. "It's not a prison! It's a place I have all the freedom to concentrate on what I wish in the intensities I desire. I have knowledge and understanding of this world and many others that many deities would envy." he speaks with confidence about his cumulative collections in libraries and mind.
"But you keep it here. Locked up with you." Ka'ness says carefully and gestures to library above them again with a circle of his finger.
"It will be passed on to generations after me." Talthorn puffs out his chest in another fib, because he had long forgotten how that would be something he would do. "No more questions. You have your answers to those for now. Now it is rest time." he points sternly.
Ka'ness looks at him with large eyes, the rims still glowing in a cursed darkness. "Maybe after a story? You kind of owe me. For....leaving....for so long...." It seems he was not above guilt to get some additional time with his parental figure he has missed for entirely too long.
Talthorn's finger wavers and he draws it back trying to disguise his emotion. If Ka'ness rested he would be able to sneak away to do more research for his condition! But his boy made such a simple request and the magi didn't have the heart to turn him down after all he had done. "One story then...." He still had time to mend those broken promises....
(( Glimpses of the past following this story . Talthorn's awakening happens at the end of this event, forever changing his life. ALL THE FEELS ))

War is hel
Tumblr media
It was weird to not be doing anything, Nahi had been going non-stop for almost 15 years and now she had nothing, and no one, to answer to and this was 100%, no 1000%, not the time to be in her head.  There were decisions being second guessed, and so many things she had no control over.
Everything that needed to be done had been done though. Her family was taken care of, all her personal affairs were in order. She had chickened out on going to personally tell Talthorn that he would be the beneficiary of her life insurance and the executor of her estate, he was such a positive person she didn’t want to put a negative spin on things with him right now. Instead she just sent him a letter along with things he would need, like her account information, then promised to write when she could.
Nahi could go to the rehearsal room and work on the dance she had an idea for, or her fighting stances. The latter would be best, but when she had been trying to meditate beforehand, clearing her mind was near impossible. She felt like she was cheating from doing the actual spiritual part practice, making the physical part out of sync. Well aware that fighting was not going to allow her the time to clear her mind first, that is if she ever proved herself enough to be let out of the camp, didn't excuse not doing it right while she had the time.
She was sitting in a place of self discovery, and maybe a hint of a little self pity. How stupid was that? Self pity for having nothing to do, many people worked so much and never had time for themselves, or people they cared about, and here she was whinging that she got to sit on her new couch and eat chocolate if she wanted.
Her comm unit vibrated and beeped together startling her. Was this her call to report? How did she really feel about that anyway? There was probably no shame in changing her mind, except to herself. She finally made a decision for something that was way out of her comfort zone and given time for introspection she had to admit she was afraid to go fight. It was a normal reaction she knew, but it certainly didn’t boost her feelings about herself. This would be war, not some walk in a park to discover herself.
Snagging the device off her side table, she smiled when she saw Path’s name, then frowned when she saw the message.
Pathyn: What the hel are you thinking?
Pathyn: This is Kyean in case you didn’t guess.
Well shit… this discussion was not what she needed.
Another text came in but this was from Kyean’s number, which she hadn’t blocked or deleted.
Kyean: This is Pathyn. I am sorry, I mentioned you coming out and us shopping, and what we had been shopping for, and he wigged out.
Nahi: Traitor. You shouldn’t have told him anything about me.
Kyean: Nahi, love you but I am not hiding my life from him. You two have issues, okay, but I am not changing for either of you.
Well shit…
Nahi: Sorry, you are right, if I don’t want him to know what I am doing, that is not your responsibility.
The next two texts came in simultaneously.
Pathyn: I know the two of you are texting about me.
Kyean: Please tell me you will not stop talking to me. It is important for you to have someone you can talk to with questions about what you will be learning. Plus I would miss you.
Nahi continued to ignore Kyean.
Nahi: I would miss you too. And I know I will have questions, but I can ask people I know there if it puts you in a bad spot with him, I would rather talk to you though, you know me better. Also, would you two assholes swap comms back please? This is dumb and confusing.
Pathyn: This Path, he stole my comm while I was cooking by the way, I didn’t give him it. It is my distinct pleasure being let into the close circle you call friends and I will be here when you need me.
Kyean: You didn’t answer me. Please talk to me, Nahi.
Nahi to Pathyn: For big guys the two of you are pretty sneaky. I still owe you for stealing my comm in the first place.
Pathyn: You can spank me if it helps.
Nahi to Pathyn: Asshole.
Pathyn: You love me the way I am. Would you talk to him please? He is about to start chewing on my furniture.
Nahi to Pathyn: I will but only for you.
Nahi to Kyean: Do we need to discuss boundaries again? I don’t answer to you, Kyean.
Kyean: This will be war Nahi, not little girl playtime.
Nahi stared at her comm unit. Did he have some way to read her doubts? That was crazy close to what she had been thinking before he began messaging her.
Nahi to Kyean: No? And here I thought it was a debutante ball.
Kyean: What the fuck is that? Wait, it doesn’t matter, Nahi you haven’t fought before.
She set her comm unit down and walked away. It wasn’t even fair, the asshole was blind, how did he see right through her? The comm was beeping, she could hear it from the kitchen. Drawing a glass of water and taking a caramel brownie out of a bag before she felt she could face talking with him again and walked back into the main living space.
Seven messages, really Kyean?
Kyean: Nahi?
Kyean: Nahi??
Kyean: Come on Nahi… talk to me.
Kyean: Ignoring me is childish.
Pot meet kettle.
Kyean:  Look, I am worried alright? You don’t know what this is going to be like. The War is hel saying? It’s true, it brings out ugly from the world everywhere and the color can drain from reality to be replaced in shades of grey. You are a brilliant, bright woman and I don’t want to see that for you.
Kyean: I know you are tough, you survived fourteen years ago and you have done amazing things since. All you have managed in caring for your mother and keeping that line between what you were experiencing and the brave public face shows more strength than you can imagine but a battlefield is so different than even what you saw in the keep. You are such a glorious spirit already, you don’t need to do this. The world is better without dimming your light through being in a conflict.
Kyean: Nahi, honey, talk to me, please.
Nahi: Don’t call me honey.
Kyean: Thank fel… Tell me what you are thinking?
She really hated it when he became reasonable.
Nahi: Aren’t you supposed to be caring for your pet warlock?
Kyean: Jealous?
Pathyn had told her that Kyean was in Stormwind caring for a young woman he had known for a while that was in a lot of danger. Pet warlock is what Path had called her and Nahi thought it was very typical of Kyean, playing hero, but she also thought it was sweet.
Nahi: I hope she is okay.
Kyean: …..
Kyean: ….
Kyean: Stop being reasonable and deflecting.
Nahi: I am doing this for me. Maybe war won’t be something I can do, but I won’t know until I see battle. I will be in camp for a while anyway, at least that is what I understand from the Commander. Path knows my other reasons and he can tell you my feelings.
Kyean:  He told me. At least you chose a good company. Check in with Pathyn or I please, I will come looking for you if you do not. Since I know their company you really can’t hide, even if you try.
Nahi: Asshole.
She could almost hear him chuckle from here.
Kyean: I know you and Path are friends, and I hope we can be too. I promise to try and not hover, but it is my nature. My emotions run hot because of what I am, I was more reasonable before.
Pathyn: No he wasn't, he spent most of his time as a cat, cats are never reasonable.
Kyean: Tell him to stop reading over my shoulder.
Nahi laughed, she couldn’t help it, they were really amazing and funny men, even if they were overprotective.
Nahi: You two are incorrigible.
Kyean: You say the sweetest things.
Pathyn: It runs in the family.

025. What do they consider beautiful in others personality-wise? 087. How would your character describe themself in three words? 093. What is your character’s goal in life?
25: Freedom but bound by somethine; be it a duty, work, family, or passion. Someone who bends with the wind but is not uprooted by a twister. A carefree or mellow persona, unstressed by the world.
87: “Distant. Lost. Searching.”
93: If you’d asked him that before BFA his answer would be simple, to spread his Master’s word. To stand in Silvermoon as a beacon in the Light and a guide to the lost. However, as the waters have receded the lone priest has very literally nothing to return to. All he has is his guise and clinic, neither of which offers him the fulfillment he desires. Sadly, I’ve not found anything that ‘clicks’ for him.
Though, after one of Talthorn’s “Who you are meant to be” show at the Owl’s poetry night it might have inspired him to do something. Though, truly, felt more like he was being called out in the moment. Even so, as much as the show made him feel the he’s still confused on the path he must take. He can write a song all day, but still not have it guide him.
Ah, so TLDR: sort of kind of not really.
@talthorn-sylvoran thank you!

Master Daddy: The Last Nightborne Godfather
Tagging some folks I follow here on Tumblr that I think might really enjoy a super-fancy, Godfather-meets-French aesthetic Nightborne fanfiction. Enjoy!
I finally did it! I got that big bird up in the air! *shakes fist like that guy at the NASA control center*
Today I found the courage to polish off and post the first chapter of my Nightborne fanfiction “Minister Daddy”. You’re getting daily updates during the Thanksgiving holiday, but then I’ll go to normal once-a-week updates. And just to all the folks out there who read my stuff and have been very encouraging, thank you. I still got a novel to write but at least this one fanfic story I really loved the concept of is out in the world!
Read Master Daddy here
Check Out Master Lucien Sabergryn’s Tumblr (I play this character in-game, and am ashamed to say I’ve been secretly saving up awesome posts for him for a long time, so I launched this today, too. He’s so pwetty.)
**I also really want to give a big thank you to @blueburds who did a devoted beta read of the first chapter for me. I was pretty scared, but they gave me some great confidence and helped me work through how to present it.
And now, I’m beta reading a Star Wars fanfic for them! So go follow them and read their stuff!
Tumblr media
I've set out to write the fanciest, Warcraft, Nightborne, French aesthetic historical drama fanfiction you've ever read. Nightborne ambassador Master Lucien Sabergryn has a new wife and a new chance to salvage his family name, now that Suramar is free and the shal'dorei have joined the Horde. However, his ex-wife is still very invested in his life, pulling mafia puppet strings even while she sits in jail framed for high treason. Lucien must choose which woman he loves and which life he wants. A new life following Thalyssra as a loyal member of the Horde? Or, to continue enjoying the secret Elisande-era vices that threaten to consume him?

The warmest and most heartfelt thank you to everyone who chose to come tonight to witness the joining of Talthorn and Konietzko Syl'voran.
Words still are hard to find to properly convey or express the love and appreciation that @talthorn-sylvoran and I feel for those who have been with us on our journey. Some from the very first moment we met one another at the Succulent Tart dance party during the Tournament of Ages in 2020. Seeing those faces here tonight that shared a part in the beginning and have stayed with us into the now, and all those we've met and have had the honor to befriend along the way just makes our hearts -very- full. @sirensdxn Reverend Ra'hsen officiated the most beautiful of handfasting and Lunar Lantern Soul Binding ceremonies we have ever been a part of. @anzhin-the-starman surprised us with our first dance song live on the spot and friends @ranekvilmas and @zaneryne joined him in lighting up our night. A group hug for all as bubbles remained afloat as we embraced every warm heart present and silently thanked those who were with us in spirit that could not make it. Seeing so many of the @succulent-tart's who came to share this night with us as we danced before them once more in our own spotlight just as we had upon our first meeting was a special honor that speaks volumes for the kind of hearts that they are and is a memory we yet again will -never- forget. As we all set forth our lanterns into the night sky, Talthorn and I knew that every soul who stood there with us were stars that had earned their place within our Eromai Epolomono. 💙 The Hearts of Tenacity are forevermore Legendary Husbands writing their own story across the stars. 💜
