— “it’ll be our little secret, professor”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
☀︎ - pairing: eris vanserra x reader
☀︎ - summary: you hook up with this delicious older man for one fun night to forget your scummy ex, what do you do when the same man turns out to be your new professor?
☀︎ - warnings: smut, oral (m.receiving), hint of degradation, taboo relationships, student x professor, both are obviously old enough, i just want him so bad GOD
☀︎ - amara’s note: this is going to be a series where i’ll post text threads with prof eris, headcanons, just different things. I’m planning this series to be about 10 chapters, but I literally have no structure, I just write. also i hope you like this as much as I do. and if you see any mistakes, no you don’t
Tumblr media
In the corner of the club, everything felt a bit fuzzy. The air was thick with a mix of excitement and different scents. Dim lights created a soft atmosphere, and the distant sounds of the crowd and music blended together. It was like time slowed down, and you were in your own world, just soaking in the low-key vibe of the club corner.
The earlier shots hit you, and now you're in a blissful, relaxed state. All you could focus on were the hands exploring your body, lips locking with yours, and captivating scent surrounding you.
In the heat of the night, you ended up kissing a stranger without a second thought. The risk of being alone with someone unfamiliar did register – you just didn't care. Discovering your boyfriend's cheating after a difficult three-year relationship, marked by numerous breakups and makeups, left you feeling free from a toxic situation.
Now, free from those shackles, you embraced the chance to breathe and have some carefree fun. You had gone out with your friends, planning to originally get black out drunk but you suppose there’s better ways to cope.
Coming up with the idea of harmless fun, you and Elain came up with new identities for everyone to play out. Providing a random name, you spun a fat lie of being an up-and-coming writer, in the middle of writing your latest novel. Falsely claiming to be older, you described a beautiful house situated on the outskirts of Prythian that you owned. It was all part of a lighthearted game, with no harm intended since you believed you'd never cross paths with the guy again. It was ridiculously easy to bag the man since he didn’t tell you anything about himself, only nodding when you talked about yourself.
The attractive stranger had dark copper hair, captivating amber eyes, and stood several inches taller than you. His eyes glistened in mirth mixed with hunger. His muscular build caught your attention, and you found yourself grabbing onto his strong arms.
If his looks didn't captivate you, his mouth certainly did. His wicked tongue unleashed clever comebacks and tantalizing dirty talk that sent shivers down your spine.
The best part? He was older, more mature, more confident and much more good-looking – just so much more than your ex. Comparisons might be wrong, but if you had to choose, the man in front of you was a no-brainer.
Because he wasn't some guy; he was a man who acted like a man, who spoke like a man and touched you like a real fucking man.
The man had been touching and kissing you for what felt like an eternity. You greedily wanted more from him. You didn't want to regret not taking the chance, and almost as if he could sense it, he invited you back to his place.
You nodded, excusing yourself to let your friends know about leaving. Approaching them, you shared your decision to go with him, and Gwyn, Nesta, Em and Elain cheered you on. However, Feyre, always the protective friend, expressed her concern.
“Go get some, but I swear I’ll hunt him down if anything happens, got it? And have your location on.”
Her words, while somewhat playful, held a genuine undertone of worry.
You nodded and promised her you’d be safe before hurriedly made your way outside to the handsome man.
“Still want to come with me, sweet thing?” he asked curiously, making sure it was still something you wanted.
“Mm, yeah, still wanna go. Unless you've changed your mind?” Stepping forward, you grabbed the man's tie, pulling it gently as you looked up at him with half-lidded eyes. A playful glint clouded your gaze as you cocked your head to the side, oozing confidence.
He smirked down at you with a wicked glint, clearly showing his mind was nowhere near changed. The man stepped forward, rubbing his clothed cock against your dress, making you feel his hard on through his pants
“Does it feel like I’ve changed my mind?”
The chemistry you had was unmatched, he was so clever and witty and you wanted to know more about him as he led you to his car, a sleek, black one, indicating money.
You’d blame your forwardness on the alcohol tomorrow when you remembered how you just blurted out the question.
“Hey, you rich or something?” you giggled.
The man opened up the backseat door for you and through the side of his eye gave you an amused smirk.
“Or something.” he teased.
You rolled your eyes, grinning, as you hopped into the backseat, enjoying the warmth of his hands securing your seatbelt and closing the door.
But hold on, the backseat?
Weren't you supposed to sit upfront with him? Before you could ask, he opened the other backseat door and slid in beside you.
Maintaining eye contact, he grinned at your confusion and said, “Alden, please take us home.” A faint "yes sir" was heard, and the car started moving. Shocked, you realized he had a driver – clearly, he was quite wealthy.
You scanned the spacious car, realizing there was more than enough room for the fun activities on your mind. With a screen separating you from the driver, you unbuckled your seatbelt and moved closer, straddling his lap.
His hands instinctively found your hips, guiding your movements over him. Lips on your neck, he left dark marks as your hands ventured lower, reaching his cock, which elicited a groan from him. Your eyes widened as you felt the size of him. The man simply flashed you a subtle smile and raised his eyebrows.
You unbuckled his belt, maintaining eye contact as you carefully watched his face show pleasure as you put your hand down his pants and stroked him. You gave him a few lazy strokes, eventually shuffling off his lap and kneeling infront of him, ready to put your mouth to use.
Time became irrelevant and all that was heard were the sinful, obscene noises mixed with his hisses of pleasure as you sloppily bobbed your head up and down, swirling your tounge around the head, running your finger over the slit.
“Fuck yeah, that’s it. Could use this slutty little mouth forever.” he rasped, hips bucking as his hands went to your hair, slightly pulling on it as you let out a muffled whimper.
Pre cum and spit dripped down your chin, slowly making it’s way to your chest and floor as you pushed your head down further and further, feeling satisfied at his sounds of pleasure.
Once, twice, you grip on the shaft and slap the tip on your tongue before sucking on the sensitive head.
With a quick twitch of his cock, he cums, experiencing euphoria in his buzzed state. He gasps and moans pitifully as his lips twitch between his teeth and his hips buck into your mouth against his better judgement. You pump your hand at the base of his cock where you are unable to fit, swallowing as much of the hot, sticky ropes that coat your mouth as you can. As he pours into you, the walls of your pussy clench around nothing, so badly wishing your were sitting on the cock that was currently on your tongue.
His cum was everywhere - your hair, your face, your tits. He slumped against the seat and moved his eyes down back to you, catching you licking of the sticky residue of your fingers.
Before either of you have a chance to say something, the car slows down to a halt signaling that you’re probably at his place. He tucks himself into his pants and doesn’t buckle them before he opens the door and grabs you, throwing you over his shoulder as you laugh. Your mind forgets about the fact that you’re covered in his cum and just blanks when you take a look at his so called house, a mansion or a fucking estate is more like it.
The lengthy driveway opened up to a stunning front yard adorned with red and orange-leaved trees, an unusual scene for the end of summer. A well-lit, ornate fountain with three tiers stood proudly infront of the house, enhancing the beauty of the surroundings. The massive Victorian mansion, with its beautiful windows and overgrown vines stunned you.
He set you down and held your hand as he led you into his room, and it overmet your expectations. Instead of a dark, edgy space, it was spacious with earthy tones and bathed in soft ambient lighting. The room exuded comfort, making you wish to stay longer. His bed, adorned with a large fluffy comforter and a million pillows, looked inviting.
Various trinkets and figurines adorned the room, but what captured your attention was a massive bookcase showcasing your favorite books. Intrigued, you dropped his hand and made your way over. Your eyes widened at seeing a book from your wishlist, yet to be released. Confused, you asked how he had it, and he explained that Sellyn Drake was an old family friend and had gifted it to him.
You decided to tease him about the book, saying, “You know, I've heard great many things about this book. How about you tell me what it's about? I heard it had some... exciting scenes.”
His eyes met yours, and with a subtle smile, he stepped closer and closer, “How about I show you instead?” The air seemed to thicken with a hint of tension, leaving you curious and captivated by the possibilities that lingered in his suggestion.
——
Your legs trembled as you hastily stood up, determined to make your exit. Having been fucked stupid all night, dawn was approaching, and the new semester was starting tomorrow, leaving you with a load of preparations. You located your dress, bag, and heels, putting the clothes on carefully. Quietly, you ordered a cab to avoid startling the man still asleep. Before leaving, your eyes lingered on his bookshelf. Tiptoeing closer, you took the book you'd eyed the night before and read the teaser on the back. Glancing between him and the book, grabbed it, and silently left his room and house.
——
Feyre, Elain, Nesta, Gwyn and Em, your friends and roomates, practically pulled you across campus to grab your schedule and check out the new students filling the cafeteria. The buzz of excited chatter and the aroma of coffee and sweet pastries filled the air as you scanned the room. After a few moments, you parted ways, each heading to your respective classrooms, the anticipation of a new semester buzzing in the atmosphere.
You wandered through the literature building, searching for classroom LE4, the place where Advanced Literature with Professor Beron awaited. Memories of your first year with him being an absolute ass lingered, so you hoped he'd calmed down over the summer, giving everyone a fucking break.
You finally entered the huge lecture hall and climbed the stairs, opting for a seat at the back, hoping to fly under the radar in case Professor Beron was in a bad mood.
A few rows down, you spotted your ex, Ilias, with a new girl on his lap. His sleazy smile and wandering hands were more icky than anything ever. Reflecting on why you ever went back to him so many times, you turned around, focused on bringing out your notebook and computer from your bag. As the doors opened, the click-clack of quality shoes echoed through the hall, accompanied by girly giggles and voices creating a murmur in the background.
A jolt of surprise froze you, and your heart seemed to pause for a moment as his voice unexpectedly filled the room. All your previous movement ceased, and a sudden hush fell over the surroundings, creating an atmosphere charged with unexpected tension. The shock of hearing someone you hoped thought to see again made time momentarily stand still.
“Hello. I'm Professor Eris, and I'll be taking over this class. My father used to teach it but has passed away, so I'll be filling his shoes. I anticipate a productive year together. If you doubt your ability to keep up with the rapid pace of this advanced class, I suggest you leave now and spare yourself, as well as me, the trouble.”
Panicking, your eyes scanned the room for any possible escape route. There was just no fucking way you could be in this class when your professor had fucked you against his bookshelf, or when you had his dick shoved down your throat. Sinking in your seat, you desperately opened your computer, using it as a shield, praying he wouldn't notice you. The need to escape intensified, but the fear of drawing attention kept you frozen in your seat.
As dread crept in, he pulled out an attendance list. The sinking feeling deepened as he insisted everyone state why they chose the course. Hiding behind your computer, you debated revealing your presence or attempting to stay under the radar.
"Ilias Smith?"
"Emma Wilson?"
"Jess Lennox?"
"Amanda Gomez?"
Each one confidently declared "here" and delved into passionate remarks about Hemingway, Austen, Kerouac, all the authors that made them choose this course or whatever. Your hands started sweating as Professor Eris called your name. When you hesitated, he repeated it louder, his gaze scanning until it locked onto you.
Anticipating an intense reaction, all you saw was a slight narrowing of his eyes.
“Well? Are you here, Y/N L/N?”
You mumbled a faint "yeah," and when he asked why you were there, your words fumbled, “Uh, I suppose because I like books. A huge fan. Yes.”
Your classmates chuckled at your less-than-impressive answers, and you sunk back into your chair, just observing for the rest of the lecture. A few rows ahead, a group of girls giggled, thinking they were discreet as they whispered about Professor Eris. Their discussions about their fantasies sparked a tiny irritation within you.
Like who the hell gossips about someone, so crudely in broad daylight and during a lecture, especially when it's about a professor? It wasn't jealousy, no, no definitely not.
You just found it… super unsettling.
——
After two suffocating hours, you hastily packed your bag, eager to escape. But just as you were about to disappear, your name echoed in the room.
“Miss L/N, do you mind staying behind? There seems to be a problem with your email,” Professor Eris announced, leaning against his desk with his massive arms crossed. He bid the remaining students goodbye and waited until they all left before locking the doors.
The moment those doors clicked shut, the atmosphere in the room shifted dramatically. The tension became so thick you could practically cut it with a knife.
He turned back around and approached you, merely a few inches away, face a mix of amusement and curiosity.
“Hello there, little liar. I certainly didn’t expect to see you here.”
Your cheeks heated and nervousness filled you at the memory of the depraved moments you'd shared, causing your gaze to involuntarily drop to his chest and wander downward, reliving those sensations.
However any nervousness vanished as you remembered that he was the one who came to your university. If anyone should’ve been surprised it should’ve been you. A mischievous smile played on your lips as you toyed with the idea of making his year more challenging. Testing how good of a man he really was became a tempting game.
After all, a man like him wouldn't indulge a student, right?
This could turn into a fun little project to spice up an otherwise dull year.
Lifting your chin up, you looked him square in the eyes as your lips twitched in anticipation.
“I could say the same, Professor Eris. You definitely don’t seem like the lecturer type.”
His eyes narrowed at you, jaw clenching as his intense gaze bore into yours. The intensity made you shift a little, almost causing you to lose some of your confidence.
“Do you think you're funny? I believe you understand the situation here. You lied and now you're here of all places. As my student. Well, this is an unexpected twist. One of us will have to quit and report this,” he stated, injecting a hint of playfulness into his serious tone.
Wait, quit? No, you really didn't want him to leave. This could turn into such a nice little distraction, and there was no way you were losing it now. The thought of him leaving added a layer of urgency to the situation, making you quickly reassess the potential consequences.
“Come on, professor. It doesn't have to be like this. I won't tell anyone. And who says we have to stay away from each other? I mean, what the dean doesn't know won't hurt him, right?” you suggested, a sly smile playing on your lips as you flirted with the idea of bending the rules.
Eris looked you up and down before throwing his head back and letting out a hearty laugh. Your brows furrowed as you twisted your lips, wondering if he was laughing at you. Was he not taking you seriously? Despite the uncertainty, the desire to keep playing this game with him intensified.
Eris seemed to notice your mood turning sour and promptly clamped his lips shut.
“I promise, sweet thing, I'm not laughing at you. I’m just amazed at your boldness.” he assured you with a more serious tone, attempting to dispel any misunderstanding.
“Promise?”
He stepped forward, “Cross my heart and hope to die.”
You both knew that under no circumstances should you be doing this. If anyone caught you, there would be hell to pay. Expulsion and blacklisting from any other Ivy League universities for you, and definitely prison or some sort of pesky law thingy for him.
Yet the mere thought of engaging in something so wrong and secretive made your stomach flip, a mix of thrill and anxiety churning within you.
Looking up through your lashes, you blushed, a deep crimson hue spreading across your cheeks as you once again grabbed his tie and pulled him closer.
“I promise I won't tell anyone, professor. It'll be our little secret,”you whispered, the words laden with a taboo excitement that sent a shiver down your spine.
A wicked gleam flashed in Eris's eyes, and a subtle smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.
“Well then, miss L/N,”he whispered, his voice low and conspiratorial. “Let's see just how well we can keep our little secret.”

Just read your post about Tonks. Tonks surely was a student of Snape's. Just imagine. Tonks. In Potions. With Snape. Tonks, canonically the clumsiest character of the entire series. Potions. The SUBTLE science and EXACT art of potion-making. NO foolish wand-waving or silly incantations. Tonks is not subtle and exact. Tonks is foolish and silly. And that, to Snape, is INFURIATING. However, Tonks is an Auror. This means Tonks succeeded in getting an Outstanding O.W.L in Potions. This means Tonks took Potions N.E.W.T. This means Snape was probably hoping and praying he would never see her face again after her 5th year but SURPRISE. The girl is SMART and Snape is, unfortunately for him, a fair grader (yes he is idc what people say). I want to see this. I want to see Tonks being an absolute clumsy mess in Potions and Snape being livid but at the same time frustrated because he knows she has potential but she's just not careful and she's witty and talks back and he can't just truly hate her. THIS brings me to the scene in HBP where Tonks brings Harry to the gates after he got knocked out by Malfoy on the train. She sends a Patronous inside the school to get the gates opened. Snape comes and tells her that he noticed her Patronus had changed (now a wolf so cute omg). Therefore, Snape remembers her Patronus from before, but it's like he catches himself and makes a sly remark about her new Patronus being weak because it's a wolf. Like a father disapproving of his daughter's choices for falling in love with a mangy werewolf (love you Remus). Idk I loved that scene because it hints that they have a bit more history together than we think. It could also just be from both being part of the order, but I feel there is a bit more. What do you think dear tumblr friend?
I think she and Snape were buddies. As much 'buddies' as Snape can manage with a student, anyway.
There is a reason Tonks stomachs Moody so well - and its because she's had A LOT of practice with grumpy hard asses. She takes biting comments well, she isn't ever afraid to dish humor back, she knows well when to take things seriously and when to help lighten the mood - handy for people who can't relax easily.
She trained those teeth on Snape, I guarantee it. She LIKES bastards. She enjoys making people happy, she enjoys exceeding expectations, she likes proving herself reliable - and bastards are the hardest to please. She doesn't see blemishes or ugliness or scars - just the person. She likes making them smile.
She's clumsy. She's a disaster. He can't ignore her no matter how much he might want to sometimes - because she might die... ...and yet, her skill is obvious. She pulls through when she needs to. I like to think Potions might have been one of her worst subjects - but she worked hard at it, and enjoyed it, and asked questions.
Not just "Did I chop the Mudwort root thin enough, Sir?" But "Ey, Prof - if this potion utilities the healing properties within the cells of the root, shouldn't we be grinding it rather than slicing it...?" You know. She's actually invested, deeply learning about the topic, willing to experiment. Making him answer with thought. "...No, breaking the cell wall makes it burn away too quickly. We slice thinly to ensure good, even absorption."
And then her cauldron explodes later anyway because she accidentally tipped some leaves in with the slices. Oops. BUT... she will stay behind to fix it. She will ask to practice when she has free time. She isn't talented, nor careful - but its hard not to appreciate her enthusiasm and her dedication to success. He spent a lot of time with her. Being able to mark her a genuine "O" in her NEWTs was one of his proudest moments as a teacher.
Perhaps it's part of why Hermione annoys him so much, too - she appeared like an interested student on the surface, having read her books... but she never stepped the fuck up. She never tried. She never pushed it. She never used her brain. An insufferable know-it-all is ONLY better than a complete dunderhead in that they're safer to have in the classroom. But she doesn't encourage other students learning, she doesn't push herself, she doesn't actually care about the topic... just getting everything right, to prove she is smart or whatever.
Same with Neville: A clumsy oaf that seems to do nothing at all to mitigate that fact. barely even stays behind to clean his own messes. They say Longbottom is 'frightened of him' - well he isn't there to coddle him. He never needed to coddle Tonks. She took his bite as a challenge to do better and soared because of it. She was an oafish moron... but a rare gem.
...And then she started dating FUCKING LUPIN The first thing he said when she was so obviously showing interest it made him feel ill was "...You know he is a werewolf, yes?" And when she responded "Yeah, duh - what of it?" He groaned "Of course... you've never had any common sense..." And the look he snapped at her when she cheekily said "...Gave you hell at school, too - didn't he?"
Tonks teased him. Of course she did. There were days when he walked into class to see she had turned into a foolish version of him... But she knew how to hold back. She is a highly empathetic woman. Even when she was young... the few times she sensed perhaps she went too far: She was mature enough to apologize. Sensitive enough to realize he would not want such apology in front of others, either - and wait till after class to hang her head. It was difficult to stay mad at her. She was just too damn earnest.
In many ways: She reminded him of Lily. Firey, obsessed with magic, popular, friendly - brightened up every room she entered. Seemingly cared about everyone. Even him. It was just... pleasant. Familiar. She was a very different person, of course - but interacting with her felt a little like home. Perhaps a few times a little piece of him slipped out to her - something more juvenile and playful than he has been for years.
...That's what I think, tumblr friend B^) I think its a good thing they didn't find out eachother had died. They would have been distraught for eachother.
But if they both lived...? I think she could have been the thing that healed Snape and Lupins relationship. They both care for her - and can at least be civil with eachother for her sake.
Imagine: post-war family BBQ's with Snape and Lupin arguing over how to cook. Lupin wants to prove himself handy but Snape knows he's fucking useless. (Tonks is the true BBQ dad.) Snape babysitting Teddy. He'd be such a good uncle.
EDIT: Remus and Tonks were BOTH awful at potions. Tonks at least became competent through sheer effort - but they still both go to beg him for help when they need anything. I think Lupin/Tonks/Snape would be fun :^)

ok but we need to hear more about college dick now👀👀
hehe ask and u shall receive because ohhh myyy dick in college is such a messsssssss but like so pretty it’s almost unfair
i love the idea of dick and a bunch of his friends getting a house together with the intent of being Normal for the first time in a while, which means being absolute menaces as most 20 smth yr old guys are
very much known for being a party house bordering a frat but all the guys r so nice that it’s rlly hard to think of them like that. it’s a space where he can let go, feel like himself and with the encouragement of his friends, dick puts the brakes on like relationship hunting and just has fun..
he’s been in pretty committed relationships since he was old enough to be and has always struggled with casual dating let alone sleeping with people he barely know. but when dick learns there r ppl out there looking for the same thing and not everyone wants to b the next future ex mr/mrs. grayson it makes it a lil easier to be his charming self with no bounds <33
and then he mets you and it’s the usual routine, flirting you to his bedroom which is in the basement—of course—well alllllmost doing so until you vanish out of his grasp for reasons dick cannot discern (you weren’t here for him silly)
and while he’s not like one of those oh i wanted to hit and couldn’t so im gonna chase you types, dick does have to reconcile with the fact your friends with roy and spend a lot of time at the house now
which also means he learns how cool you r and how goofy he feels for just tryna sleep with you
and despite his friends vouching for him you really only see (and have heard the numerous rumours) dick as a rich playboy and that’s not for you. plus he’s def a business or poli sci major……….but with a psych minor bc it feels the most practical despite how boring dick finds most of his classes
though when he realizes your both in a psych elective together he’s all toothy grins and obnoxious air which isn’t helping his case but of course he’s a decent student and when you mentioned hating statistics—you were stuck with the worse prof outta the two—dick jumped at the chance to help
you were sooooooo skeptical and even though agreed you kept brushing him off until dick just started helping you when you were over to hang out. he drops a textbook in your lap while sitting in roy’s bed or starts reviewing your notes and adding examples while your hanging out on the living room floor building lego sets with everyone else.
and dick did that a lot—sure it was his house and roy was his best friend along with all of his other housemates but dick never hesitated to insert himself into whatever you were doing when you came over. and it shouldn’t surprised you but everyone being so..unbothered by it had you confused. like maybe that’s how dick is but it spoke bounds to their closeness and was the First time you actually saw a little more to dick than just some campus hottie douchebag who threw parties to get laid
and while you weren’t about to tell dick that, you did start coming over with the intent of working on stats together. it usually meant dick having to re-lecture whatever your prof barely managed to explain and helping you with the page long equations needed for assignments
and dick keeps it as platonic as possible, on a mission to prove he’s not the person you think he is and not only because he wanted to be with you—well yeah he does—but because dick cares what you think about him. he knows his friends care about you and value what you have to say and he wants you to know it’s the same for him
and maaaybe you see that too but dick needs to suffer a little more
bonus: you talk to dick abt ppl you’re interested in at some point (either genuinely or to mess with him) when he insists on always hanging out with you and roy. and while he gives advice with a smile, still trying to prove his capacity for mature, platonic relationships, dick screams into his pillow later that night when he goes over the convo again and again and agai—
bonus bonus: he’s probably on the school’s gymnastics team <3

Prof Roy ex-student young wife anon here!
I LOVED every single word you wrote omg. I agree 100000%. Also loving the idea of him just being so happy to pay for your further education and research trips. Like an academic sugar daddy. I love this. I totally see you becoming a professor too and him being your biggest supporter and you two being this power couple teaching at the same college at some point. Doctor Roy and Professor Roy.
I also had another thought which is how he’d propose to you the night before your graduation. Cause he loves your forbidden romance but he can’t wait to make you his beautiful young wife and have you on his arm when he gets another award or a certification at a fancy gala. So, you show up to graduation in your cap and gown and a huge diamond ring.
Im sorrry this is probably cringe and a weird niche fetish of mine so I’m sorry for exposing you to that.
Hope you’re having a good day!!
omg YES an academic sugar daddy that's so true. i love the idea of becoming a power couple. there are even times where you are both are sort of competing with each other in your career, but you're very much like 'when one of us wins, we both win' and that's like a sentiment he legitimately has never heard before. like he might be on edge but when he sees it's just good-natured competitiveness on your end he realizes that he can have what he had with his siblings without things getting nasty and manipulative.
the proposing before your graduation he is so insane for that. i imagine you want to marry him too but you've never told your friends about him so when you show up with a massive ROCK on your finger they are like "soooo...whose the guy?" and you just have to sort of lie until it's an appropriate time to reveal who he is. or maybe he proposes to you when you graduate with your masters so at that point he hasn't been your prof in awhile so it's more widely acceptable. but yeah, very selfishly he just wants to make sure you belong to him. as long as he knows that he's fine and supportive with whatever else you decide to do.
i also imagine for awhile people really whisper about you behind your backs because regardless of how you actually start hooking up with him, there's always gonna be that stigma that he once was your prof. but after awhile i do think people will be able to see your connection is genuine and you do care about one another so they don't talk as much shit.
but NO, literally don't apologize at all it's not weird at all. the idea is really hot to me too. it's my dream life to just be curious about different things and being with someone who would let me explore all my interests and support that is honestly so fucking hot. feel free to send me as many asks about this as you want!! thank you<3

Your rant about college au's and high school- first of all, I relate lol. Second of all, I had a slightly different college experience because I went to school at a teeny tiny women's college (700 students at most, no Greek life, no football). So it wasn't that there was a single student everyone knew, but that everyone just knew everyone. I love that I had that experience, but honestly reading Physical Paradox makes me wonder what going to a bigger school, a larger pond, if you will, would have been like. My grad school is still super tiny compared to most colleges in the state even though it feels a bit bigger to me. Maybe I'll get to experience it for my post doc - but if I only experience it through Physical Paradox, I can't complain :)
See, that reminds me of small-town syndrome. And as someone who is from a semi-small town, and whose mom is definitely from a small town (like, you mention her maiden name to someone there and everyone in a ten-foot radius knows who you're talking about 🙃) I feel like I would have hated that lol.
Though, I will say I went to a community college for a couple years before university, and that was actually really nice. But there weren't really people I saw regularly.
There's a level of anonymity to a big school that's super comforting.
I RANTED AND IT IS BELOW THE CUT 😂😂
When it came to my school, there were around... 35-40k students when I was in undergrad? We had a homecoming king and queen every year who were from some of the larger organizations or greek groups, but I couldn't tell you their names then or now. No one except the people in those orgs cared. Ever. They got people to vote by offering them free things. No one cared because it was literally just, "I need to survive this week. My future is on the line so why do I give a fuck if some asshole gets to walk on the football field and wear a fake crown?"
We had a student body president, but AGAIN I COULD NOT TELL YOU THE NAME OF ANY OF THEM EVER. (wait, that's a lie, one of my friends went to high school with one of them, so I spoke to him once in the hallway of the English building when he stopped to talk to her - long before he became student body president - and then promptly never spoke to him ever again. I think his name was Ben? 🤔)
I wasn't in any clubs, and I was never in a sorority, either, so things were likely very different for people who were. But I really enjoyed my undergrad and grad experience. I was depressed as fuck, but I still am, so I can't blame school for that lol.
When it came to recognizing people, I'm not joking when I say Mahomes was the only one people recognized. The quarterback a few years later was one of my friends' students and SHE HAD NO FUCKING CLUE WHO HE WAS AND NEITHER DID THE REST OF US BECAUSE WE STOPPED CARING ONCE WE COULDN'T GO TO THE GAMES FOR FREE.
If anything, there were a few professors who taught the basic courses that everyone knew because they'd taken a class with them because they had to at some point (a history, anthropology, science, or art history class). But I'm talking like, "Oh, Dr. Whatshisface, who teaches that one super weird class that counts as this core credit so you don't have to take the boring version? Yeah, everyone took that class." there was a professor who taught a northern myths and legends class who looked like a mix of Chris Hemsworth and Russel Crowe, it was strange. He also taught German. Most people had heard of him because he dressed up as Thor every Halloween to make his students laugh. He was really nice. He let us watch movies as extra credit.
Now, departments? Oh, the departments talked. Every department had professors everyone knew or hated or loved. My fave prof was a lit professor everyone thought was super hot (I've genuinely always been creeped out by this, and what's funnier is that he was also creeped out.) My least favorite was the asshole I've mentioned before, and literally no one liked him.
SO. Physical Paradox Goinko makes sense from a professor perspective because word spreads about the good and bad professors. "Don't take this guy because he's an asshole" "take this professor because she's wonderful" "if you take this guy, the class fucking sucks but it's actually really great and you learn a lot" "that guy is a dick, but he's actually a good teacher if you give him a chance"
That kind of shit always goes around. People ask acquaintances about professors or specific classes because a professor makes or breaks that class for the semester. I remember being devastated when a class I was taking got switched to a different prof last minute and GUESS WHAT IT WAS HORRIBLE. ONE OF THE ONLY B'S I GOT IN GRAD SCHOOL. FUCK THAT GUY.
But I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible when it comes to the student aspect. Because people just don't know each other and they honestly don't give a fuck most of the time. You meet someone in a class and you become decent enough friends, but if you never speak to them again after that? Meh. No biggie. That's what Rinko and Geto were like before the class in Theoretical Introduction. They likely would have still become better friends in that class, even without Gojo there, though.
Grad school was different because you have cohorts and those are smaller groups of people you're with until you finish your program, but even then? I know next to nothing about anyone who was in my program aside from my best friend. BUT WE ONLY BECAME GOOD FRIENDS BECAUSE WE WERE OFFICE MATES. WE WOULD HAVE NEVER SPOKEN OUTSIDE OF CLASSES IF NOT FOR THAT. I think there were five(? it's been so long I actually can't remember) of us, and we became friends in that we occasionally grabbed drinks together and graded together but beyond that? I still speak to two people, including my best friend. The other lives kinda close to me now anD I JUST REALIZED I HAVEN'T RESPONDED TO A TEXT FROM HER IN WEEKS HOLY FUCK WE WERE TRYING TO PLAN GETTING DINNER-
okay rant over i'm gonna go reply and try to be a decent friend 🫠🫠🫠

Gereng for the ship thing?
Send me Ships
Gives nose/forehead kisses:
Both do, but because Arthur is short, Ludwig has an easier time bending down and doing it.
Gets jealous the most:
Like I said in the gerfruk ask, Arthur because he's always had a bit of a possessive streak. Not as bad now, but he definitely gets irritated when Feli is being overly affectionate with Ludwig.
Takes care of on sick days:
Both are very attentive when the other is sick. Lots of snuggles and warm soup and everything.
Drags the other person out into the water on beach day:
Neither, both are content to just lounge under the umbrella. Though the dogs may try to get them to come into the water.
Brings the other lunch at work:
Arthur can't really cook, so even though Ludwig works more and Arthur is kicked out of parliament half the time, Ludwig still makes him lunch and other premade meals Arthur can heat up.
Tries to start role-playing in bed:
Both have talked about wanting to try different kinds of role-play, but Ludwig is always a little hesitant, so Arthur is the one to go "Okay we're doing this." There is pet play. Student and Prof/Tutor (though that one didn't work so well and triggered Ludwig's perfectionism),
Embarrassingly drunk dancer:
Both, but especially Arthur.
Firmly believes in couples costumes:
It's not always a must, but sometimes Arthur gets a good idea from some of his favourite books and movies. Like they dressed up as Sherlock (Arthur) and Watson (Ludwig) once, Crowley (Arthur) and Aziraphale (Ludwig), etc.
Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas:
Neither really since Arthur makes his gifts and Ludwig isa stickler for the rules. Though if Ludwig sees something he knows is perfect for Arthur and it's more than they agreed on, Ludwig will break the rule then.
Remembers anniversaries:
Both of course!
Brings up having kids first:
Again, like the GerFruk answer. Nationverse, nations are infertile and can't have kids. Arthur already has a lot of adoptive kids. But Peter in a way is like Arthur's kid who is still...well...a kid. Though their relationship is more like brothers and Arthur doesn't have full custody of him. But still, Arthur and Ludwig get some experience being parents together that way.
Human AU...I don't know. Sometimes they raise Peter together after Arthur gets custody of him after Peter and his mom dies. Sometimes they don't have Peter. I think both are people who never really considered being parents so they only become parents when some unexpected circumstance happen and the universe practically thrusts kids upon them.
Kills the bugs:
Ludwig kills them, Arthur tries to free them.
First to define them as a couple:
Arthur technically, but Ludwig asks him if they're boyfriends because Lud needs him to be direct.
Who hides their guilty pleasures longer:
Both have been wearing masks most of their life so...It's hard to open up sometimes, especially about guilty pleasures. But being similar, a trust forms between them and they can create a safe space between them to open up about that kind of stuff. Though Ludwig probably takes a little longer. I don't know. Just the vibe I get.
Snorts while laughing:
Ludwig, when he's really genuinely laughing.

mie….could we please get college au eren headcanons👉🏽👈🏽
Of course. I’m always thinking about his big head anyway <33 might as well put it good use.
One thing he learned in college is how to make his hyperfocus/fixation episodes work for him; that’s why he schedules all his classes as close together as possible. He’d rather have class back to back for 5 hours, than have it spread out with hours in between lectures, because that increases his changes of cutting.
You can always tell when he’s in class and/or what class he’s in by how much he responds to your messages. If he doesn’t text back at all, he’s in a class that hard or one he enjoys, or both. But if he’s sending you iMessage games, then you know he’s in his elective that he couldn’t care else about (and is probably cheating in someway somehow lmfao).
He usually puts his phone on dnd when he’s in a class that’s important, but you’re in his favorite contacts, so your messages always ring through. What if it’s an emergency and you need him for something? Advanced Roots of Human Biology can wait.
Some days there are one or two our breaks between his lectures, that’s just how the scheduling works out. When that happens, he usually sneaks into one of your lectures, or goes to your place to take a nap. Your roommates have become accustomed to him, honestly they’ve been considering giving him a key.
Once, he didn’t realize that your lecture was basically a seminar, with you, the prof and maybe six other students. He still stayed lmao, and the prof was so amazed by his dedication, that she didn’t even mind. Occasionally, you’ll catch the two of them talking after lecture. It’s pretty cute the way she’s adopted him into the class even tho he’s not on the roster.
You... have to show him where the library is lmfao. He genuinely has not stepped foot in one until you bring him to one. He likes it tho lmao once he gets used to it.
Speaking of which, do not give him standard directions to find your classes on campus because all you’ll get is, “Babe, I’m gonna keep it real with you, I’ve never heard of the ‘West Quad’ a day in my life. What building are you near.”
He usually comes to see you in the library after all his lectures are done for the day. Sometimes he does homework, sometimes he’s just fucking around on his computer, sometimes he’s just bothering you. When you have to leave to go to class, he stays behind to watch your stuff so you don’t have to pack everything up and come back.
Very protective when it comes to keeping your seat for you. No, you cannot take that chair to your table you good for nothing freshman; it’s reserved for you.
He’ll drag you out of the library if you’ve been cooped up all day, tho. Eren will use his height and his strength against you to get you up. Placates you with kisses when he sees your angry expression, and promises to buy you food.
He takes your backpack for you when you’re walking together,m. His backpack is frustratingly light all the time, even during midterms. You swear all he’s got in there is a pencil and some flashcards.
If you have night classes, he sticks around to walk you home after, especially in the winter when it gets dark faster. If he’s not already on campus, he’ll walk/drive back to meet you; he just doesn’t like you going home alone. Even if your friend/roommate is in the class with you, Eren will walk or drive the both of you home for his own sanity.
He plays sports, so he usually has practice most evenings, but he’ll find a way to make time. If practice was particularly brutal, he’ll probably crash at your place.
He loves it when you come to meet him after practice. His whole face lights up and he waves obnoxiously, before he gathers up his stuff and all but sprints towards you. You get a cold water bottle to the face, or a bit of water splashed on you usually, which he takes immense amusement in.
He knows it’s not possible for you to make it to all of his games, and usually it doesn’t bother him much; you’ve got your own life, and work to worry about. All he asks is that you wear his jersey, or any item of his sports apparel/merch on game day (he’s partial to hoodies).
By the time junior year rolls around, he’s not all that interested in attending parties that aren’t hosted by your friends; so, unless it’s at Connie, Jean, or Reiner and Bertholdt’s place, Eren will usually decline. Even team parties, he’s not crazy about unless it’s to celebrate a championship or something. He’d much rather celebrate with you.
He does get excited about hosting parties though, and he and Jean become pretty damn good co-hosts. They don’t throw ragers, and that’s probably why Eren likes it so much. It’s usually your friend group and a couple plus ones, some good music, games, weed, and take-out.
He’ll buy you coffee whenever you ask for it. The first time, he just orders something plain, not really knowing the difference between anything; but give it two or three tries, and he’ll get it perfect. He becomes so good that he can order you something new/different and you’ll love it.
That’s kind of the start of his own coffee addiction, and more often than not, when he buys you a cup, he’s on his second or third of the day himself. The flavor has really grown on him, okay.
He much prefers your apartment, but on occasion, he’ll ask you to come to his. You’ve been studying for so long, a change of environment should do you good, he claims. He’s a fucking liar tho because that’s all Eren Talk for “I do genuinely want you to come over, but my plans are to coerce you out of doing your assignments and doing me instead.”
Lmfao he adds you on Apple Watch Rings just so you can see him close his rings every day and laugh at you. Even if yours get closed by virtue of walking around campus or working out or whatever, his numbers are stupidly high because he fucking has practice at least 4 days of the week.
Of course when you’re running on a soccer field for 2 hours every day, you close your Move Ring five times, Eren. Leave the rest of us alone.
He buys you guys matching accessories for your keychains. It’s something pretty cute, and slightly random, but it reminded him of you. It also serves as a reminder to himself to take his fucking keys with him when he leaves his house.
He sleeps like a fucking rock, so do not let him fall asleep in the library. Waking him up is a mission, and he’s never happy to be woken up. He looks kinda cute tho.
He schedules dates for you and his friends. Usually by accident, but hear me out. Sometimes he’ll make plans with Armin, then forget that he has class or a test or something; so his solution is to text you, “hey, i forgot min and i were supposed to go some aquarium tomorrow but i have a midterm so here’s the pdf of my ticket, go with him for me, thanks babe love u” then, boop, you and Armin have an aquarium date Friday evening.
The same thing happens with Mikasa, though, she usually catches the scheduling conflict before Eren does, and invites you out herself. You and Mikasa hang out quite a bit anyway, so it comes to the point where she tells you when she’s gonna hang out with Eren, so you can make yourself free for when he inevitably remember he has a game that day.
Mikasa is most amazed that you’ve put up with Eren this long lmao. You’ve certainly lessened her Eren & Armin babysitting hours, and for that she’s eternally grateful. Also, she’s just happy to have another close friend. She loves Eren and Armin, but they’re not the most social beings, and she was literally their only friend besides the other for all their childhood PLEASE she’s so happy you’re around.
It’s Mikasa, however, who babysits you and Eren whenever you both get too drunk. Says you guys are two peas in a pod (affectionate<2)
If you tell Eren something important that happened, like an internship you got, or a good grade in a class, or something, he usually relays that information to his mom pls. He texts her every day, and if she doesn’t ask for an update on you first, he gives her one.
Carla calls you sometimes, too. At least once every few weeks, just to check on you herself. She really likes you for Eren, and is grateful someone is willing to put up with her hotheaded son.
Eren’s always using your fucking chapstick. Always. You know he has his own, so why he needs to use yours is beyond you. Finds time to make some dumbass comment about how it’s an “indirect kiss” every time he uses it too. Like bro, we’re dating, and have had many direct kisses why are you like this.
He posts on Instagram every few weeks or so, but you’re on his story every few days. Usually, it’s just a video of you minding your business and doing your work while Eren slowly zooms in before making some loud noise to surprise you, all so he can get your reaction on video and laugh at it. He’s annoying.
He’s a bit of a copycat when it comes to the products you use. He’ll buy the same brand of pens as you (for that matter, all of his school supplies mirror yours because what does he know about the difference between A4 and A5 notebooks?), put a little hand sanitizer on his backpack like yours (and a lotion, too, for good measure), he even copies your Starbucks order until he finds one he likes for himself. It’s one of his love languages <3
If you’re wondering where your eyelash curler went, Eren stole it to try it on himself, hurt himself, vowed to never use it again, went back because he wanted to “do it right and not give up,” liked the results when he didn’t pinch his eyelid, and now it’s his.
That being said, stop trying to put your Fenty lipgloss on him, it’s never going to happen. Eye makeup, maybe, only if you sit in his lap and he can have his hands on your ass while you do it.
What he does love is letting you do his skincare. He will set aside dedicated skincare nights, he adores it. Easily one of his favorite things ever.
You have his wallet. Not because he’s your sugar daddy or anything (although, if you want something, he’d definitely let you use his card to get it; and even if you bought something without asking, he wouldn’t think twice about it), but because he put it in your bag once and never took it out.
When you tried to give it back, he just shook his head and told you to keep it, “I have my ID in my phone case anyway, and you’re less likely to lose it. Plus I put all my cards on Apple Pay, so I’m good.”
When you do make it to a game of his, he’s all over you when it’s over. Not in a cocky athlete boyfriend kind of way; in a very sleepy boyfriend kind of way. He’s usually got ice on at least one part of his body, and he’s got half his body weight on you as you walk to the car.
By the time you guys get back to your place, he’s practically sleep walking. The only thing on his mind is taking a hot shower to soothe his muscles, and heading to bed. The aftermath of game days aren’t all that bad though, because even if you didn’t show, you’re always there to kiss him when he’s home and massage his shoulders, and cuddle him to sleep; and that’s his favorite part.

Pretty Boy
Tumblr media
Jimin x Reader [ft. Eunwoo]
Genre: Angst, Smut
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, alcohol consumption and swearing-ish.
Word Count: 6k
Masterlist
A/N: This is the first part of my "Pretty Boy" mini series for Jimin. It's very detailed and elaborate because I wanted to try writing a piece from the perspective of the female gaze. There will probably be a lot more eventual smut and plot development going forth; this one was just setting the story. Nonetheless, I hope you guys read it and like it!
Tumblr media
“I keep forgetting you’re a Comp Sci major. You know, I never would’ve guessed that when we met,” Tally says scooting into the empty seat beside you.
“Because I’m a girl?” You roll your eyes at her.
“Remember, you’re talking to a Mechanical Engineering student. That wouldn’t surprise me,” she retaliates.
“Actually, statistically speaking, Mechanical Engineering has a close balance between women and men in the field. Computer Science, not so much. You should see all my other classes, I’m basically one of the twelve girls in a class of over a hundred.”
“Ugh, of course you’d talk numbers. Was NOT the point, but hey, this class doesn’t seem so bad, does it?”
“Yeah, since a lot more mech and business students will be in it, ya know. Kinda how the math works. Jeez, how’d you pass all your classes so far?” you tease.
“Ah, yes. Love it when your best friend calls you dumb.”
The class falls silent as the professor makes his way up to the board.
“Computer Graphics & Design,” he writes.
You’d been looking forward to this course throughout your degree. It was the only one that combined your interests and your academic work in the slightest. You didn’t regret choosing a degree like Computer Science, but you’d known no other option your whole life. So, it always surprised people when they walked into your room expecting to find mechanical keyboards and spare hardware laying around a desk with 3 monitors running code from top to bottom and left to right, but instead, they found books, artwork, and crafty decor.
You’re unconsciously scribbling notes while Tally clicked away at her laptop keys. Another reason she’d initially suspected you were perhaps unsure about your major because God forbid a Comp Sci kid wasn’t glued to a screen with a keyboard.
Halfway through the class, the prof decides that the class wasn’t lively enough. “Come on, guys. This is only the first day, aren’t you all supposed to be excited and eager to learn?”
Clearly, he was forgetting that this was a senior capstone class and most of you were just wanting to graduate at this point. But, for a class that overlapped with two other degrees, you sure did expect it to be slightly more bumpin’. As bumpin’ as a graphics class could get, at least.
“Let’s actually set aside today’s agenda and why don’t we instead try to divide ourselves into groups to do an activity.”
The whole class whines collectively, which is fair enough considering the last time a prof was this involved and set up class activities was back in first year.
“I want you all to discuss yourselves. See what got you here and what you hope to do going forth. See if there’s someone else who follows a similar path as yours or if they’re on the opposite end of the spectrum. See if that pulls you closer to one another or pushes you further apart. Uncover the mystery of yourselves; humans are complex systems, just like computers,” the prof reasons.
There’s contemplation among the students, a lot of muttering and concentrated faces.
“And a lot of you forget why you started or forget that this isn’t the only path for you. This is one of your best chances at rediscovering or redirecting yourselves,” he concludes. And with that, the whole class scrambled to make groups.
You loved profs like this, truth be told. The ones that genuinely cared about you and your future.
You stir in your seat, trying to take in all the faces of the people seated around you. You hated to admit it but you weren’t as observant as you always claimed. In fact, you had the most tunnel vision a person could imagine sometimes; focusing on the most unnecessary things and letting the essential things slip through. So, you now force yourself to pay equal attention to the people, their features, the way they interacted and what they chose to focus on. Tunnel vision or not, you could read people fairly well.
Except, when your eyes come upon his. You loved reading people, but you hated being read by another. And just like that, you couldn’t quite focus on anything, eyes scanning an empty paper on your table like it had instructions printed on them. You’ve paid attention to boys before, but they were mostly just nice to look at when you got bored. They were never really distracting like the one seated behind you.
You fidget with your pen as you look back up at him hesitantly. This time I’ll be fine. He’s just another boy. Your eyes trace his jaw as you convince yourself and stop momentarily upon his full lips before bringing them to meet his gaze. They weren’t on you anymore, but you could swear that you felt his eyes burn holes through the back of your neck only a few moments ago. You’re distracted when he brings his arm up, flexing as his fingers racked through his hair. He had such dark eyes which matched his hair, but such dainty little features, you noticed. The prof’s words echo through your head; you didn’t need to know him to understand that he was a complex system, he just seemed like it.
You pry your eyes away from the delicate tendons on the back of his hand and finally bring them to meet his gaze. He was intently watching you studying him as he had previously, his intense gaze contrasts the slight curve of his mouth. His tongue swipes across his bottom lip, spit providing to be his own personal lip gloss. His lips were the prettiest shade of pink, and you hated pink.
“Amusing,” you hear him whisper to himself. He presses his lips together in an attempt to control himself from grinning, forcing the lightest trace of a dimple along his right cheek. There was nothing you could read, but your eyes remained fixated on him, taking in every little feature and detail.
He pulls his chair closer, “I’m Jimin,” he states. Before you could respond, Tally whips around in her seat to face the both of you.
“Wait, I think I know you. Aren’t you dating Sierra?”
Contradictory to how you just felt a while ago, your eyes dart instantly trying to find his. And although his face is angled towards Tally, he watches your reaction as he replies.
“Why would that matter?”
You roll your eyes because of course a boy like him would respond to a question with another. Way to stay mysterious.
“Gosh, of course she’s dating one of you,” Tally confirms.
“But he didn’t really say anything,” you say out loud by mistake.
You turn to look between Tally and Jimin now that you’ve brought yourself into this conversation. Through the side, you see an accomplished grin plastered on his face, causing you to crumple the corner of the paper that was placed under your hand. How could a boy be this infuriating and intriguing all the same?
“Oh, I didn’t need him to agree or disagree. His reply told me everything I needed to know,” she glares at him as she speaks. “He’s exactly her type, the kind that doesn’t fully commit.”
“That’s not what it is. We just haven’t talked about ourselves exclusively. So, I wouldn’t know what to say or make of it either ways,” he says casually.
You could already see the way he made Tally’s blood boil and you knew fully well why. She’d spent way too many late nights staying up to help her friend through yet another breakdown because of a boy. You look away not knowing what to do with any of the information, tuning the two of them out as you start to doodle on the piece of crumpled paper.
A few minutes later you hear Jimin say, “It’s not my fault now is it? She chooses to take an interest in me.”
You face them, “This conversation is going nowhere. You both despise each other, and you make the other’s life unarguably harder, cool. Moving on- “
You’re cut off by Tally looking at you with great offence. “I make HIS life harder. How?” That was not the point but of course Tally got stuck up on that.
“What I meant was, I’m sure he expected to walk into his design class and not an interrogation room. Besides, I don’t really know what the full story is and neither do I want to uncover it now. So can we get back to our class activity?” you suggest.
“Fine, but I’m switching with someone else,” she says as she kicks her chair back. Sometimes you wondered how Tally wasn’t a drama major.
“So, what do you want to know?” Jimin follows up with you.
“Nothing, I think I’ve heard enough,” you lie. You hated how you itched to know more, more about him outside of the impression that Tally seems to have formed for the both of you.
“Right, if you insist,” is all he leaves it at. Besides. it wasn’t that you really cared much to begin with, but why then did you feel like that was a missed chance.
You continue to outline a sketch onto the same sheet of crumpled paper. This was going to become one of your favourite works, you can tell. You always could.
“Yeah, I’m in my final year of my MIS degree,” you overhear Jimin talking. From the corner of your eye, you see one of those pretty party girls flutter her eyes and lean into him as she speaks. He was clearly a magnet for certain types of girls, and he very much thrived off of it.
The girl continues to speak but you couldn’t care to listen, still hung up on the fact that Jimin’s not one of those entitled business students.
“Well, I started out as a Business major with a focus in Marketing but over time I took an interest in Tech companies through the stock market trends and that led me to switch to MIS, I guess,” he continues.
It’s almost like magic how you never seem to keep up with what the girl has to say but every time that he has a reply for her, you activate some sort of spidey sense unbeknownst to you.
You hear him laugh and goddamn is it the prettiest laugh you’ve heard. Can laughs even be considered pretty? You’re quite surprised she managed to crack him up, you on the other hand can’t figure for the life of you what his sense of humor remotely is.
“I get that a lot, but despite looking fit, I’m not very athletic. I like contemporary dance if anything.” His voice drops a couple of octaves as if he was hoping she wouldn’t catch on to the latter half and it seems to have worked since she dismisses it altogether. She places her hand on his arm as she pretends to show an interest in sports even though he’d just stated that his interests laid elsewhere.
You scoff inwardly, not because you have anything against the girl, but because you just couldn’t be bothered with them anymore.
You’ve covered half of the paper, the white underneath the ink hardly visible. You pause when a cute boy heads over to your desk, shoving everything under your text in a panic. Not that you thought anybody would get what it was in the first place, since it was mostly jargon to anybody that wasn’t you, but all the more because your perfectionist self couldn’t let anyone lay their eyes on your unfinished work.
You spend the rest of class talking to a couple more people and getting to know them on a much deeper level than you’d anticipated you would. But it was one way to start off the final year, making more friends that you had in the initial years of college.
The prof begins to conclude the class while everyone starts to move back to their original seats to pack their stuff. You’re surprised when the cute boy you’d previously spoken with, makes his way over. With his bag flung on one shoulder and a basketball in the other, Eunwoo looked like the stereotypical athlete. But he was the farthest thing from it, the same way you weren’t the typical nerd with glasses and your eyes plastered to a screen, executing codes. You hate that about the world; label. Everybody has to fit a certain description and act a certain way. On the contrary, it was what you liked most about people; that element of surprise. Not being who the world tells them to be but just who they want to be.
Eunwoo insists on walking with you to your next class. “It’s on the way to practise, why not?” And if you knew better, arguing was not going to do you any good, only further delay you.
You absentmindedly grab all your belongings from the desk and shove it into your bag. Some of them roll off the desk and you curse, reaching for them when Tally swats your hand. She urges you to go with the cute boy, promising that she would grab your stuff and hand it over back home.
——————
Eunwoo was the cutest junior, if you’ve ever seen one. You guys exchanged numbers and would grab coffee from the cafe on campus between classes. He made you feel comfortable despite the fact that he would try pushing his boundaries, but that was only because you would let him.
“I’m not looking for anything, it’s too late to start now,” you say sipping on your coffee as he holds the doors to the science building open.
“But how can you be so sure without having completely looked?” You can tell this is one of those times he’s indirectly trying to gage if he was going to have a challenge with you.
You hated false hope, so even though you would flirt back every so often, you liked to shut things down the moment it got any series than it needed to be.
“I have though. There really isn’t anybody for me. Besides what’s the point if I leave in a year anyhow? It’s not worth it.”
You see his face fall slightly at your reply, but you playfully nudge him and start to tease him instead, to distract him.
——————
“Some of the guys on the team are throwing a party after the game on Friday. Would you be able to make it?” Eunwoo asks as he dribbles the ball along the pavement on your guys’ way back home.
“Uh.. I haven’t been to parties in a while. I swore off them.”
“Come on now, don’t be a grandma. This is your final year, live a little.” He passes the ball to you, as if implying the ball was in your court to make a decision now.
Eunwoo wasn’t wrong in that you probably needed to relax a little bit more and enjoy your last months here.
“Fine, I’ll go. But only because you asked,” you say as you shove the ball back at him.
——————
You’re at the party, a little late and a little tipsy, scanning the room for Eunwoo. There are people bumping into you and alcohol spilling out of the red solo cups, reminding you why this wasn’t your vibe anymore. An arm wraps around your waist, pulling you towards thi pong table. You’re tense up until the boy turns around, flashing you a smile. Eunwoo.
“Congratulations! You guys won the first game of the season,” you half smile and half scream.
“Only because you were there.”
Eunwoo definitely was the definition of perfect. Always had the perfect words ready for the perfect of times. You simply offer him a smile.
“Come on, I called the table and you’re my partner for the night.”
“We’ve got to beat them,” he bends to whisper in your ear as you arrange the cups.
He straightens back up and nods at your opponent to let them know you guys were ready.
“Are we really still playing by King’s Court?” the annoyance in your voice evident.
You feel Eunwoo’s cold hand wrap around the back of your neck, his fingers rubbing your skin lightly as if to soothe you. He was a lot more touchy than usual, probably an effect of the alcohol coursing through his system. You grab his arm, bringing yourself to your tip toes
“I’m only your best player here,” and you’ve never seen a man smile wider.
Caught up in the boy beside you, you hadn’t yet acknowledged that it was already your guys’ turn now. Eunwoo tilts his head towards the table, prompting you to shoot first. You wet the ball, a habit you’d formed for God knows what reason, before looking up to finally face your opponents.
Suddenly you weren’t so sure about the faith you held in your hand-eye coordination. Although Jimin’s across the table from you, you feel caged. He was by no means as tall and big as Eunwoo but somehow, he was the one taking up all your space and constricting you. It finally dawns on you why Eunwoo felt the need to win the game; it wasn’t really that as much as it was that he wanted to beat Jimin. You steady your breath, slowly blowing out through your mouth as your eyes fix themselves on his.
Eunwoo seems to be very enthusiastic about the game, pulling you further into him every time you guys get balls back or make an explosion. And you gladly allow yourself to be swayed by the boy beside you, rather than the one in front of you. Maybe this isn’t so bad. It’s almost like Jimin could read your mind and picked up the pace of the game, the girl beside him barely making any contribution. You could tell he was more focused now with the way his jaw clenched and the way he took a tad bit longer, rolling the ball between his fingers before he made his shot. And it sucks for you because all you can think of is how sharp his jaw is and how that contrasts his softer cheeks. The glint from the rings on his fingers cause you to wonder how pretty his hands contrast the accessories they displayed.
You slightly shake your head when you feel Eunwoo’s elbow nudge your shoulder. It was your turn. Crap. You brace yourself for the worst as you shift your focus to the cups. You ask Eunwoo to help steady you as you raise yourself, aiming to make the final shot. Eunwoo’s hands on your hips, let’s you know you can use him as support. You lean back slightly until your back rests against his chest as you angle your hand and shoot. The ball hits the rim and runs along it before falling to the table. The frustration you felt was clearly visible as you pressed your lips tighter together and your hands squeezed into itself, causing your nails to dig into your palm. You feel Eunwoo shift from behind you as you look up to him, mouthing the word “Sorry.” You look back to Jimin, fully expecting his face to have the biggest smile plastered, but there was no reaction. And that almost bothers you more than finding him enjoying your failure.
Eunwoo doesn’t seem too bothered by the shot either, instead he seems to be smiling to himself. That’s when it clicks for you, he doesn’t realize you missed the shot because of Jimin’s change in demeanour, but because you were distracted by his close proximity. And how you wished that was really the case.
It’s okay, it’s just the last cup, you tell yourself. You still have another chance before they call redemption. Except to your disbelief, the girl from class scored. For the first time the whole game and it only riled you up even more. Jimin finally let out a smile, his tongue prodding the insides of his cheek.
Just like that, the tables turned, and it was your guys’ redemption shot instead. Eunwoo made it in with ease and it took everything in you to hope and pray that you made this last shot. Jimin wasn’t going to break your resolve, not when you were this close to beating him. You move your line of sight from the last cup standing to his. You watch as he picks up his cup, holding it a little tighter than needed as he brings it to his lips, emptying the rest of its contents even before you’ve made your shot. It confuses you but you lean forward, making sure your elbow doesn’t go over the edge of the table, making your shot. The ball makes contact with the liquid in the cup, and you hear Eunwoo cheer beside you but your eyes remain fixed on Jimin’s. How was he sure you’d make that shot?
It was all up to Jimin now, taking their final redemption shot. This could potentially go on for long and you’re so close to convincing Eunwoo to leave the table with you. Jimin’s eyes never leave yours, he doesn’t even bother checking for the position of the cup before taking his shot. The ball hits the rim and bounces off the side and falls to the floor. You guys had beaten them, but why didn’t it quite feel that way? Did he let me win?
You didn’t have time to process much before Eunwoo sweeps you up for a hug. “Yeah, we did it,” you hear him state.
“Of course, we did. I told you, I’m only the best,” you smile.
You look back over to Jimin who’s making his way over to the other corner of the house where they’re playing some version of stack cups.
Another game later, Eunwoo leaves your side to go grab another drink for the next game. It just wasn’t as exciting anymore, so you tell him that you’d find him before heading out to the club. You decide to text Tally, trying to figure out where in the crowd she was.
“The second room on the right, by the washroom,” she replies.
You head over to that room, the door clicking shut behind you.
“Hey, what’s going on?” you say, confused as to why she’s in the room alone with Sierra.
Almost as if in response, Sierra looks up at you and that’s when you notice the trail of wet mascara along her cheeks. It must be Jimin.
“Sorry I’m holding her up in here, it’s just, he’s with another girl. At this party,” she blurts out.
Tally looks at you like this was just routine and part of their nights out.
“Who? Jimin?” you ask, hesitantly.
“Yeah, but I mean, I did tell him that I had to stop seeing him for my own good. It’s just I didn’t expect him to have another girl ready is all.”
Tally sighs. “This is how it is though. All the men we know suck, I can’t wait to graduate.”
“It didn’t really seem like they were together, though. She’s just choosing to stick to him,” you say almost in his defence. Or were you trying to convince yourself of that? Whatever the reason, you should’ve just shut up.
“Really?” you see her eyes light up slightly and Tally lightly swats your head in response, her eyes going wide in warning.
If you didn’t already hate yourself, you definitely do now.
“Maybe not, who knows with him. You were right to do what you did, you deserve better,” you say in an attempt to discredit your previous thought.
“Yeah, I guess. I should’ve brought another guy with me tonight,” she says as if that was the fix.
“No. No more boys,” Tally reminds her.
“Do you want me to get you guys anything?” you offer.
“Yeah, actually. Some water and bread,” Tally responds for the both of them. “We gotta sober up just a bit and then we’re good to head to the club.”
You nod at her, slowly getting off the bed and heading towards the kitchen. This house had the most random layout you realize as you struggle to find your way about. You weren’t even really drunk so this wasn’t even on you, definitely the architect’s fault.
You open the fridge, grabbing two slices of bread and filling up a large glass of water as you make your way back. Second room to the right.
You barge back in, kicking the door shut behind you, expecting to find your two friends but instead you find yourself alone in a room with Jimin.
“Wait, what? I could’ve sworn I just left this room 2 minutes ago,” you mumble.
“Yeah, they just left, and I needed the room to myself after for a moment.”
Couldn’t they have waited a whole two minutes? “Is it because of Sierra?”
You needed to learn to shut up sometimes. Maybe just apologize for disturbing him and go on to find your friends? Instead, you set the contents in your hands down and turn to face him.
“Not exactly.” He leans back, tilting his head upwards before continuing. “I just don’t understand why everybody looks at me like I’m the one always fucking up. I’m tired of seeing that look in their eyes.”
You stay silent for the next few seconds, not knowing what to say. “So that’s your story then, huh?” is all you manage to say.
He laughs as he pulls his hands down his face, like he could just wipe his frustration away. “Yeah, I guess. But I thought you didn’t care?”
He always has this tongue-tied effect on you. You never know what to say next, but you also find yourself on the brink of overflowing with countless words. You decide to completely ignore his question.
“Maybe it’s because you unconsciously put up this front and it makes others think you like being this way. Like playing with girls’ feelings is your favourite pastime,” you offer.
“Is that what you think?”
What’s with all his questions? You sigh because you know yourself and you know what’s about to come from you next.
“I think you have a way of making people around you feel like they matter more than they do. And that allows for people to take what they can and run with it, when in reality, there isn’t much else to it. Simply put, I think that causes you to be misunderstood,” you suggest.
You’ve only spent a week’s worth of classes overhearing whispers of his life, and here you go writing a whole essay for him.
“Have you ever felt that way before? Seemed like it comes from personal experience.”
You didn’t think he’d pick up on the little things you tried so hard to concede. You look at him, a little vulnerable and a little defensively but you’re slightly taken aback when he looks at you like he actually cares. It takes everything in you to dismiss the way he’s looking at you right now, as if your souls spoke the same language.
“Who doesn’t feel misunderstood in this world?” is all you choose to leave it at.
“I’m sorry you feel that way, I wish it was better.” He’s pushing himself off the bed, you notice his shirt is partially unbuttoned now. He makes his way over to you, and somehow you feel so much smaller in front of him than you did with Eunwoo.
It’s not his collarbones that glisten in the dimly lit room that has your mind in a haze, but the way you can tell that he aches to hold you. Like he wishes he could be there for you, and he doesn’t even know you yet. But that’s what he’s got wrong, he can’t keep you from getting hurt if he was going to be the cause of it himself. You can tell he was going to be your downfall, you always could.
He brings one hand to the door for balance while he leans into you, his lips just an inch away from yours. You’re not drunk yet you stand with your back to the door feeling intoxicated. He smelt like floral and citrus, reminding you of a picnic in a field. How could a boy like him also smell pretty?
You avoid his eyes at all costs, choosing to focus on the way his collarbones peaked out from underneath. Your body was overheating, you realize, when Jimin brings his other hand to your waist, slowly pushing you further back into the door. Your breath hitches in reaction as you aim to process what was happening. His hand drops lower, bunching up the material of your skirt to push it to the side.
“Fuck this, why do they even bother with slits?” he whispers.
“I don’t know, easy access?” you guess.
“I would argue stylistic choice but sure, if you insist.”
You look away in embarrassment, hoping he couldn’t see how red you turned. Yeah, you should probably stick to not giving him direct answers.
Although your bare leg was exposed to the cold air of the room, your skin was searing hot to the touch. You could especially tell because when Jimin places his warm hand on your thigh, he somehow felt cooler. You finally let out a breath you were holding when his fingers trace your skin, even his touches were soft and pretty. The metal around his fingers cools your skin at the places it glides across. He stops at your hip, grazing his thumb over and across the string of your underwear, and it only makes your body burn like ember for him.
He leans further in, his lips lightly brush yours, but he refrains from moving them. You look back up to him but you find his gaze settled on your lips, like he has longed to kiss you all this while. He finally moves closer, hoping to catch your lips in his but you immediately turn your face away from him. His lips find your jaw instead and unexpectedly, Jimin’s hand digs into your hip a little harsher. You squeeze your eyes shut in reaction while his lips start to leave a trail of kisses down your jaw. I should stop. Only a passing thought that was as you tilt your head when the bridge of his nose is nestled below your ear. His kisses become more like licks as his tongue sweeps your skin with each movement of his lips down your neck.
You let out a whimper when he brings to suck a little harder on your skin. Bad idea. His hand moves to your neck, fingers wrapping around your jaw. He tilts your head, forcing you to face him while applying light pressure to keep you from moving in any way he didn’t want you to. He pauses for a moment too long before leaning in to kiss you.
“I can’t… I-I shouldn’t,” you stutter.
“You can’t or you shouldn’t?” He pulls your hips towards his.
“I shouldn’t…” you attempt to repeat yourself.
“And why is that?”
“You’re drunk, I wouldn’t want to take advantage of that. Nor would I want to wake up remembering this moment only to realize you wouldn’t retain a single moment.”
How you managed to speak coherently is beyond you.
“You’re a different kind, aren’t you?” There’s a glint to his eyes when he speaks now. The Jimin you saw a few minutes ago, replaced.
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“I’m not drunk, trust me. I can handle my liquor.” His voice is darker as if it would do you wrong to question his words.
“What about that girl from class?” You try throwing up an excuse hoping that something will stick. You’re sure that you can’t bring yourself to stop this, not here and not now.
“What about her?” he follows up.
“Listen, I really don’t want to get caught in the middle of that. It’s not really my thing.”
He scoffs. “So, you think I’m cheating?”
“I wouldn’t know if you are, but I don’t want to take the risk.”
His hands come down on your waist, holding you up against the door. Your legs wrap around his hips almost like reflex. You’re already wet and you know he can feel it, especially with your skirt out of the way. The only material remaining between the both of you is his pants. Couldn’t he have been wearing jeans at least? It was embarrassing, to say the least.
But the only thing that kept you going was how hard he felt underneath you. Rocking your hips back and forth, your wetness stains his pants, making it easier to feel more of him. He begins to slowly move his hips upwards in response, causing you to burry your face in his neck. You fling your arm around his shoulders, lightly grabbing at his hair. Your frantic grinding causes you to moan into his ears. At this, he holds you by your waist, pulling you into him as you unwrap your legs to support your body.
“What are you doing?” you ask.
“It’s not really cheating if we’re clothed though, is it?” he teases.
“Jimin, no. We are not doing this.”
“I like how you speak for the both of us, but I was only teasing. Just because I get away with things doesn’t mean I lie to do so. You will come to see that I’m quite honest.”
“A simple ‘kidding’ would have sufficed-”
Without another moment wasted, Jimin’s lips find your collarbone, leaving a wet and sloppy trail of kisses as he starts to slip your straps off your shoulder. You hit the foot of the bed as Jimin leans into you, pushing the both of you on to it. Your back is flush with the bed. He places his thigh in between your legs, causing you to grab him by the shirt to pull him on to you, as you ached to feel him again. He’s now on top of you, and his thigh is right where you wanted it to be, placing the right amount of pressure for you to rub yourself on him, shamelessly. Your hands come up to unbutton his shirt while he leans in to kiss you. You feel his lips on yours and you indulge in it for only a moment before you move underneath him, bringing yourself to sit back up.
The sudden change in your actions causes Jimin to search your eyes. To study your body.
“Is it because of him?”
“Who?”
“That Eunwoo guy.”
Eunwoo was the farthest thing from your mind right now. But you couldn’t let him find that out.
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s better if we didn’t,” you say breathlessly.
The softness on Jimin’s face fades as he pulls himself off the bed to fix his clothes. You mirror him, after which you attempt to grab your phone off the floor when you see a crumbled but folded sheet of paper. You reach for it just as he does, and you pull your hand away aiming to avoid any sort of contact.
“This, uh, this is actually yours from class that day,” he says as he holds out a paper filled with sketches and jargon.
“You’ve had this all week?” You look at him like this was life’s biggest betrayal. It’s not his fault for finding it but you can’t help but be a little annoyed with Tally for not being thorough enough.
“Sorta, I wasn’t sure if it was yours until I saw you replicating it in class yesterday,” he says.
“Did you look at it?”
“How else did you think I knew you were trying to replicate it, y/n?” He looks at you like you’re the dumbest smart person he’s known.
“You were the last person meant to see this,” you whisper subconsciously, grabbing it as you leave the room. The door falls shut behind you and you leave all the events of this night behind you.
Glancing at your phone screen, you read 4 missed calls and 9 texts. All from Tally and Eunwoo trying to figure out where you were.
You unlock it, typing: “Not feeling too good, I’ll see you guys later. Have fun for me.” You head back to your apartment, a little cold and a little confused.

But like everyone in spencer life thinks that she’s using him, because of her grades, and also because they are “so different” but like they love each other, so she makes a big gesture and says fuck all of you, I love him and it’s the only thing that matters, and spencer is like heart eyes” —Anonymous
NOTE: My first go at Professor!Spencer! This is a favorite trope of mine, so I loved finally getting to delve into it myself. I hope I did it justice! Also, the original title for this was “Bad For You” and it was supposed to be a little different, but it went in a different direction than I was intending. I still hope it’s okay though!
***
Truthfully, the first time she showed up in his classroom he had a feeling. It was a feeling he didn't get very often, therefore he wasn't sure what to make of it. All he knew was that when she sat down in the front row, all the way on the right, keeping to herself, he just felt that there was something special about her.
The obvious reasoning behind this newfound feeling was most likely the multiple tattoos that adorned her skin, and the flashy, attention-grabbing makeup that surrounded her eyes and lips, but as the semester progressed, Spencer started to realize her academic confidence was taking hold of most of his attention. Sure, she stood out in the crowd, completely different from anyone else who'd entered his classroom, and without a doubt one of the most stunning women he'd ever seen. But rather than scrolling through her phone while waiting for class to start each morning, she brought out a book to read or notes to study or something else to keep her busy. If anything else, yes, he admired her work ethic, at least what he could see of it.
And as time progressed, he'd come to see her succeeding more in his class than almost anyone else. Under normal circumstances, it would have been all good and plenty, but as it turned out, Y/N was anything but normal.
The first... incident happened not long after the first week of the semester, and a group of other girls were sitting next to Y/N. Class would start in close to five minutes, and students were still filing in while the group was having a rather... interesting conversation.
Spencer had had a feeling about what it was pertaining to, but his suspicions were confirmed the second he heard Y/N's voice, loud and clear.
"For the love of God, if you're gonna talk about him like he's a hot piece of ass right in front of him, you might as well shout it from the rooftops."
He looked up to see she hadn't lifted her head from the book she was reading as she said it, flipping a page half-way through her tangent and looking unbothered, despite the connotations of her words.
Rather than being upset at her, like he figured most girls in their situation would, they all stayed silent the rest of the time and barely looked anyone in the eye.
The moment Y/N realized she had them, Spencer noticed a small smirk on her face.
Class ended about forty minutes later, and just as the bell rang, he called out.
"Uh, Y/N, could I speak to you for a second?"
She looked up at him for a brief second before nodding, and even though mostly everyone in the classroom laid out a chorus of Oooohs, she still managed to look unbothered. In fact, he could have sworn he noticed her roll her eyes for just a split second.
She packed up her things and waited for everyone to leave. And as she approached him finally, Spencer felt a slight twist in his stomach at the way she did it, her expression somewhat worrisome despite her show of confidence earlier.
"Hey," she greeted plainly. Her hands clutched onto the strap of her bag so tightly her tattooed hands looked almost pale.
"Y/N," he greeted back. "I, uh... I'm not sure exactly what happened before class, but—"
"Yeah, I know. I shouldn't have said anything, it was probably rude embarrass them like that, but it was rude of them to talk about you like that right in front of you."
Spencer paused, not really sure how to respond other than to nod. "Well, uh... I... Thank you, I appreciate that."
"Besides, they're only auditing anyway, it's not like they actually care about the subject. I mean, c'mon, if you're gonna verbally daydream about sucking your professor's dick while he's standing right in front of you, you should at least have the decency to give a shit about what he's taking time out of his day to teach you."
Well... That certainly hasn't been what he was expecting. With eyes wide and hands starting to sweat, Spencer tried to think of how to respond, but came up short. But he had to say something, so he said the first thing that came to his mind.
"I appreciate your honesty."
Y/N smiled at him. It was a genuine smile that he hadn't seen, and he wished he could see it a thousand times over.
"Well, then, Sir, can I tell you something in all honesty?"
"Always."
She looked him up and down for a moment, his heart involuntarily swelling at the way her eyes raked over him with somewhat of a mischievous gleam. "You are a hot piece of ass. And I give a shit about what you're taking time out of your day to teach me. Thank you for that."
Without another word, she turned away and walked off, leaving him with a dropped jaw that slowly transformed into an amused smile.
Two days later, a Friday to be exact, Y/N showed up a few minutes early as she had every Friday prior. Spencer turned to give her a kind smile, but she didn't look up. She promptly sat down in her seat and got out a book, finding her page and leaning back in her seat.
He didn't want to interrupt, but still he offered a bright, "Good morning," and took the chance that she might offer him a greeting back.
She did glance up from her book, following it with a little smirk and a wink. And just as quickly as it came and went, she started reading again, almost as if the greeting had never happened.
"What are you reading?" he asked before he could stop himself.
Y/N didn't look up this time. But she said, "The Da Vinci Code."
"Oh," he responded, happy he'd even gotten an answer at all. "I've never heard of it."
This time she did look up. And she looked highly amused. "You've never heard of The Da Vinci Code? Not even the movie?"
Since they were looking at each other now, Spencer only shook his head.
"Seriously?" Y/N pressed, tilting her head to the side.
"Seriously. What's it about?"
She simply stared at him some more, and he figured it was still shock over his cluelessness when it came to The Da Vinci Code, but something about the look on her face said it was something else. Something more... devious.
Finally, she said, "I'm not gonna tell you." And then she went back to reading.
He should have left it at that, should have just moved on, but he couldn't help himself. So he pressed further. "Why not?"
Y/N looked up again, and then she closed the book. "Because if it's seriously taken you this long to even hear the name of the book, or the movie, then maybe it's just not your thing."
"Well, Y/N, truth be told, there's a lot in modern pop culture that I don't know about, so... That might not be true."
The two of them held gazes for a few seconds, just completely... captivated by each other in ways neither of them had experienced or could explain. He was in awe of her blunt and snarky presence, and she was utterly taken with his modern naivete.
When she repeated his words from the day before, "I appreciate your honesty," and smiled wickedly at him, he smiled back and almost fell to his knees.
Then students started to come into class and Y/N looked down at her book, which she seemed to have forgotten that she closed, because she actually blushed and fumbled getting it open quickly, obviously not as smooth as she'd always been.
The sight made Spencer's heart flutter.
Once class ended, he looked up to see Y/N standing at his desk and holding out her book. "Here. You should read it."
"Oh, I—I can find my own copy, I— You're reading it, I couldn't..."
Y/N huffed a laugh. "I've read it like five times already, I practically have the entire thing memorized. Just give it back when you're done."
He took the book with a smile. "Well, I have just a bit of paperwork to get done, but after that I'm good to go, so if you come by at the end of the day, I can give it to you then."
She blinked at him, and for a few moments neither of them said anything.
"Oh, I, uh... I read fast," is all Spencer said to explain himself.
Y/N nodded and glanced up at the clock above his head. "Oh. Ha. Right, of course you do. Um, I'll, uh... I'll come back, then. Professor."
The title falling from her lips would have ruined him completely had she stayed any longer, but again, she walked away without another word or glance, and it left him breathless.
There was a point, later on in the day when she came back to get her book, where he'd left her equally as breathless.
He was flipping through pages at light speed, and he didn't even notice her come in and sit down in the chair across from his desk. She sat there for a good two minutes, just watching him flipping pages and muttering silent words to himself, completely unaware of her presence. She'd seen him concentrating before, grading papers while the class was taking quizzes and such, but she'd never been able to study him for more than a few seconds at a time, and as she'd deduced before, it was extremely captivating.
He was extremely captivating. And she told him as much.
Kind of.
"Look at you go," she mused, leaning forward on his desk and resting her chin in her hands.
Spencer jumped, sliding the book so it hit her elbows, and she laughed.
"Y/N, you scared me!" he gasped, clutching at his chest with his right hand. "Ho—how long have you been there?"
"A few minutes. I would've stopped you but you looked like you were in the zooone." Her fingers wiggled and tapped across her cheeks as her face still rested in her palms. A huge smile played at her lips, and despite almost being scared to death, Spencer found himself growing warmer at her amused self.
"Yeah, I guess I was," he stated, bringing his hands to slide the book back to him. He looked down at it for a moment before smiling. "I was actually re-reading it for a third time. After the first I went back to look at the notes I took, and after going through them pretty thoroughly I applied some..."
As he rambled on about the process in which he read, Y/N found herself in an even deeper trance than before. She wished more than anything that she could have payed attention to his words, so she could have a discussion about her favorite book with him, but his passion and commitment to something he didn't even know about until earlier in the day, much less something she of all people just threw at him, was just so...
"Doctor Reid?" she interrupted, almost slipping out of her hands when he stopped and tilted his head, suddenly invested in what she had to say. "Can I stop you for a second?"
"Oh.. Was I going too far? I'm sorry, as you know I tend to ramble quite a bit sometimes, and I know it can be a bit much..."
"No, that's not it. I've... gotta be honest with you about something."
"Hmm?"
She leaned forward, crossing her arms on the table and searching his eyes for a moment before speaking again. "I didn't hear a single word you just said. And I promise it's not because I'm not interested in having this conversation about The Da Vinci Code, it's... something else."
"What's wrong?"
He seemed genuinely concerned, and equally as clueless, and it did things to her insides that she hadn't felt with anyone in... well, ever.
"What's wrong is that I hate everybody. Well, hate is a strong word, and I only mean pretty much everybody that goes to school here, anyway, and it's been that way ever since my Freshman year. And yet... Somehow, I end up with this class, and in almost no time at all you've managed to learn more about me than anyone I've ever met in my three years here."
"Well... I—I'm an educator, I... it's my job to somewhat know my students."
"No, it's your job to teach me. Any other professor would have chewed my ass for saying what I said the other day, and instead you... well... I don't really know what that was the other day, but I didn't get in trouble for it. And then today you actively asked me about what I was reading and genuinely took interest in something you'd never even heard of before... And then you..." She threw her hands in the air. "You fucking read my favorite book three whole times in one day and took notes on it... Seriously, who... Who are you?"
Spencer wasn't sure what to say. Especially when all he wanted to do in that moment was tell her to keep talking to him. He found that he loved when she talked. Even when she was trying to figure him out, to understand why she'd been completely flipped inside and out by a man that was at least 20 years older than her.
Especially considering that on paper, the two of them didn't look like a conventional pair. He was tall, lean, and structurally beautiful in all the right ways, where as she was closed off and beautifully stand-offish. His skin was clear of anything and hers was adorned with tens of tattoos. His clothes were always formal and neat, while hers consisted of only jeans and plain tees and long sleeves.
If anyone saw them together, it wouldn't have made sense.
They both knew this, and yet...
"I am... utterly enchanted by you," Spencer said without thinking. He didn't have to. it was the truth.
Y/N's shoulders slumped, as if some sort of weight had been lifted from them. She smirked a little. "And I am... strangely not indifferent to you."
"Uh... Thanks?"
She laughed, genuinely laughed, and stood up. "That's a compliment, Doctor. A very good compliment."
That mischievous smile of hers returned, and it made his stomach turn over again, his own smile never wavering, and conveying every sense of wonderment that it could.
"I know this might be... unprofessional... And we definitely shouldn't do anything on school property, but... Would you maybe want to, uh... go get coffee or something some time this weekend?" he asked, trying his hardest not to feel small around her big personality.
"What, to discuss The Da Vinci Code, or to go on a date?"
By the look on her face, it was obvious that she knew they couldn't call it a date. As long as they were professionally involved like this, an actual date could never be on the table. But it seemed to be in her... rather playful nature to suggest it anyway.
The thought made his heart flutter again. Still, he said simply with a knowing smile, "To discuss The Da Vinci Code."
She nodded, throwing her bag over her shoulder and getting ready to leave. "Fine. But just so you're aware, there won't be anything stopping me from zoning out and staring at your beautiful face from time to time."
With all the truth in the world, he said, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

His middle finger tapped incessantly on the cool, wood surface of the picnic table in the park. It wasn't ideal to meet this far away from the nearest parking lot, but the little spot was far enough away that he was positive no one would see him meeting his student for lunch—a lunch she offered to bring despite his insisting on paying for food. In the end, it was clear that Y/N was more stubborn than he was.
That excited him.
Speaking of excitement, the moment he spotted her walking into sight, his heart rate picked up. And at the powerful surge of butterflies that swarmed in his stomach, he mentally berated himself for even feeling that way.
This was not a date.
And just when he thought he had things under control, she finally reached the table, set down a brown paper bag, and flashed him the prettiest smile he'd ever seen. Her hair was up in a low ponytail with small strands of hair sticking out and blowing in the light breeze. She wore jeans and a tight lavender tee shirt that ended just above her navel, and it had the word "Wednesday" printed on it in black block letters. It wasn't Wednesday, which equally confused and amused him, though because he'd already found her personality amusing enough, what she wore didn't matter.
Except... the more he took her in the more it really did matter, because he noticed more tattoos, which where usually covered with long sleeves and jackets, most likely as requested by the university. But under the soft glow of the September sun, he could clearly see a collage of tattoos running up her left side, disappearing under her shirt. Where it ended, he wasn't sure, but he couldn't dwell on it for too long, or he was afraid the mental images would turn his brain to mush.
Obviously he couldn't do that.
"Hey'a, Professor," she said with a little wink as she took a seat across from him.
"P—please. Outside the classroom, just Spencer is fine."
She gave him a knowing smirk and simply stated, "Okay," though there was nothing simple about it. Her words had an effect on him, and she knew how to play them to her advantage.
But she was apparently in the mood to be nice today, at least for now. Because she peeled back her playful tone and revealed something more friendly. Simple. She tilted the bag towards him and nodded.
"I brought us some subs, as requested. I hope I got your order right."
"I'm sure it's fine. Thank you."
Attempting to keep his cool around her, Spencer remained quiet as they ate. He also avoided looking at her for too long, because every time he did catch her eye she was staring at him, obviously amused as she finished off her sandwich.
But of course, at some point one of them needed to speak. Right?
So he took a sip of water and cleared his throat. "It's uh... It's really nice out today, yeah?"
Y/N laughed, tilting her head to the side and giving him a look that almost sent him flying backwards. "If that was you attempting to break the ice, Spencer, it was completely adorable... If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were nervous."
"I—No, I'm not nervous, wh—why would you think that?"
"Because you can barely look me in the eye, and then the first thing you say to me when we're finished eating is about the weather..."
She raised her eyebrow then, giving him ample opportunity to explain. So he sighed, a rather embarrassed laugh escaping his lips. "I'm sorry, it's just... You're kind of intimidating."
She gave another laugh, one that made his heart soar higher every time he heard it. "Oh please! You're my hot professor, if anything you should be the intimidating one here."
It was his turn to laugh. "Y/N, believe me, if you really knew me, you'd know I'm probably one of the least intimidating people on the planet."
There was a long pause before she nodded, a soft smile forming on her lips. "Well, then, maybe I should get to know you..."
Despite the tugging in the back of his mind that said it was a bad idea to form this close of a relationship with one of his students, especially one who made him feel all warm and fiery inside, he found himself smiling back in agreement.
***
The sun was setting by the time Spencer walked her back to her car. And after dropping off their garbage at one of the public trash bins, he found the walk rather calming. The breeze picked up a bit, somewhat settling the fire in the pit of his stomach as she talked to him about The Da Vinci Code. And then there was the fact that they'd actually spent hours talking, so much so that they hadn't even realized how late it had gotten. Needless to say, it was extremely rare for Spencer to find that type of connection to someone, the type that allowed him to speak back and forth so easily and without regret or embarrassment.
He was thinking about how nice that was when they finally stopped. In front of a motorcycle.
"Is... Wait, this is yours?" he asked her, obviously shocked but more disappointed that he hadn't guessed sooner, and probably a little too turned on than was appropriate.
"Yep," Y/N said proudly, tapping the glinting black metal. "It was a high school graduation present from my mom. She and I used to build motorcycles when I was growing up, and when we moved to the city it got pushed to the backburner. But I love this bike, I ride it everywhere."
"That's... Wow. That's nice." It was really all he could think to say as he looked at the bike and nowhere else. Because if he looked at her, especially standing next to the bike, it was sure to spell out disaster.
"So, where'd you park?" Y/N asked, pulling him from his trance.
"O—Oh. Um, I didn't. I took the train."
He didn't fully realize the weight of his words until a devious smile played at her lips. "Oh? Well... Do you want a ride home?"
"No! Uh... No, I can... I can take the train, it's not a big deal. Th—thank you though."
Despite his better judgement, Spencer looked up at her, and before him was a beautiful young woman with a gleam in her eyes and a pout on her lips that would have destroyed any man in a matter of seconds. Her hand was outstretched, dangling a shiny silver helmet from her fingers. It glinted in the soft orange glow of the sunset, tempting him in the most evil way possible.
"You've been so good to me, Professor. Let me take you home."
At this point, he had no idea whether or not she meant her words to sound as seductive as he'd heard them. His brain screamed, No! but... In the end he knew she was only being nice. She had to be... But it's not safe! Do you know how many motorcycle accidents there are per year?
Before he could stop himself, he sighed and took the helmet from her hands. "A—Are you sure?"
All his reservations were worth it to see the beaming, toothy smile that she gave him right then. "Of course! Besides, who wants to ride the train home for the thousandth time when you could ride a kickass motorcycle instead?"
He put the helmet on, laughing along with her though deep inside he was more than a little terrified. He'd never been on a motorcycle before— it wasn't ever something he thought about. And now he was about to get on the back of one with his student, who had tattoos and spunk and just about everything he didn't. She was incredibly pretty and smart, and now he was learning that she was a total badass in somewhat of a traditional sense as well.
Y/N climbed onto the bike and nodded at him to get on behind her. Thankfully she wasn't able to see how incredibly awkward he felt getting on, scooting up to press himself to her back and figuring out where to rest his hands.
"A couple rules," she said, taking the key from her pocket. "One: I need to know where you live."
"O—Oh, right."
He told her and then she nodded. "Good. I know where that is. Rule two: Try not to adjust yourself too much, it could throw us off. But honestly you don't have to worry about that. As long as you hang on to me, you'll be just fine."
"O—Okay. How should I, um..."
With a small laugh, Y/N reached behind her and grabbed his arms, bringing them around to her front. His stomach flipped at her touch, even long after it was gone.
"Hang on as tight as you need to, got it?" she called to him
"Okay."
"Good. Now. Final rule. Have fun. Look around. Feel the wind in your hair."
"But I'm wearing a helmet..."
Y/N started the bike then, and he jumped, bringing himself closer and squeezing her tightly. His face nestled into her neck as best as he could without distracting her, though she didn't seem phased by it in the least.
"You know what I mean," she called out to him. "You ready, Professor?"
"I think so!" he called back, squeezing his eyes shut despite her final rule.
"Alright, we're off!"
The bike lurched forward a few seconds later, and it took everything Spencer had not to yelp. He wasn't sure how tightly he clung to Y/N but as long as they were still going, he figured it was okay.
It was colder suddenly, and he knew that they were moving at a decent speed. So he took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes, seeing buildings and trees go by in a flash. But the longer they rode around town, the easier he found it to breathe. While his grip around Y/N's front was still fairly tight, he'd definitely loosened up a little, and she could tell. His head was turning from side to side, looking at just about everything he could, and she couldn't see it, but he was smiling wide the whole time.
It was exhilarating. It was fun. And he couldn't remember the last time he had this much genuine fun, all worries completely erased from the mind and replaced with silent whoops of joy.
And then they stopped outside his apartment, and once the loud rumbling of the bike silenced, leaving his ears with a low thumping beat that raced alongside his heart, Spencer finally loosened his grip on Y/N completely. He got off the bike and whipped the helmet off, blood rushing through his veins like he'd just fallen out of an airplane.
He paced on the sidewalk, waiting for Y/N to put the bike in park and get off, and truthfully she was a little nervous. It was definitely weird giving your professor a ride home on your motorcycle, not to mention the added obvious sexual tension between you that shouldn't be there at all. She wondered if maybe she crossed a line, and she chewed her lip nervously as she stepped onto the sidewalk.
"Spencer?" she called out softly. "Are you okay?"
"I'm..." He stopped pacing and ran his hands through his hair, which was already pretty wild after being under the helmet— which was currently on the sidewalk.
Great, Y/N thought, I fucked up big time...
But he laughed, a wide smile adorning his pretty features as he looked at her. "I'm fantastic! Y/N, that was.. I can't believe I've never done that before! We weren't even going that fast, but it felt like we were flying!" He laughed then, the sound bringing a relieved smile to her face. And then he took a step closer to her and the relief quickly transformed into genuine joy and contentment.
"That was... incredible," Spencer breathed, his smile never faltering. "You... You're incredible."
She was going to thank him, but before she could say anything he strode to her in two steps and brought her face to his in a searing kiss.
Searing... That's exactly what it was, too. Y/N whimpered into his mouth at his intensity, the way his hands dwarfed the sides of her head and the way his lips moved feverishly against hers. She slipped her hands into his back pockets and brought him closer, her touch jolting him forward and walking them back over to the bike. They stumbled a bit before Y/N was able to gently lean against it.
Meanwhile Spencer couldn't contain himself. By now he was consumed in this fire that she'd set within him, burning down his every defense and sense of logic. He couldn't get enough of her, the way her hands kneaded his ass through his pockets, and how her tongue perfectly collided with his in every way. Each little moan and whimper she let out into his mouth spurred him forward until his fingers were threading into her hair, loosening her ponytail and no doubt gently tugging at her scalp.
If that bothered her, she didn't let on, her hunger matching his in every way.
Eventually, though, she felt herself leaning back too much, and she brought her hands out of his pockets to gently brace herself on the bike, steadying them.
But that didn't slow them down in the least. Truthfully, they weren't sure if they'd ever stop, drinking each other up right there as a few cars went by and the sun set behind them.
It wasn't until Spencer moved one of his hands down to her hip, searching for bare skin, fingers slowly sliding their way farther up her side, when a chorus of, "Ow ow owwww"s and whistles and hollers sounded behind them. He pulled away rather quickly, Y/N's teeth pulling at his bottom lip before he saw a truck full of teenagers whizzing past. They honked their horn and continued hollering until they rounded the corner, and by then the fire in his veins had significantly simmered.
He stepped away from her completely, combing through his hair and blinking, trying to collect his thoughts. But they came out as a jumbled mess. "I'm.. We shouldn't ha... I'm sorry... Y/N, that..."
"I—I know..." is all she said, still bracing herself on the bike.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, trying hard not to look at her. She was obviously rattled, though he thought she didn't mind. In fact, he was pretty sure by the way she was looking at him right then that she was ready to continue what they started, though she didn't do anything about it.
She did say, though, "It's okay. I'll, uh... See you Monday."
"Y—Yeah. Monday... Thanks f—for the ride."
His whole body was numb, fuzzy as she finally moved, walking over to her helmet and picking it up. She put it on and sat on the bike, putting the key in ignition before turning to him one last time and saying two words that sure enough ignited the fire again.
"Anytime, Spencer."
Long after she sped off around the corner, out of sight but most certainly not out of mind, he stood there on the sidewalk, his lips burning and his heart racing.
***
He wasn't sure what to expect on Monday, save for inevitable awkwardness between them, but he certainly wasn't expecting to see Y/N walk into the classroom early that morning with a box in her hands.
"Before you say anything, I just want to disclose that I'm willing to not make things weird," she announced as she made her way over to his desk. She set the box down, revealing six chocolate-frosted donuts with sprinkles. "You said you liked these the other day, so I brought some as a gift... You know, to... apologize."
"Oh, Y/N, you... You don't hav—"
"No. Please, just... Look, I didn't realize it at the time, because for a moment you weren't my professor, you were... You were my friend. And I know now that insisting to let me take you home was less than professional, and I'm sorry. I really was just trying to be nice, but I... I shouldn't have..."
"Y/N, I... kissed you... I'm the one who should apologize for being unprofessional. Really, I don't... I don't know what happened, I just..."
"Adrenaline... You... You were exhilarated and happy, and there was obvious chemistry between us that wouldn't have gotten that far if I hadn't asked you to hop on my bike, so... I'm sorry."
They both looked around, hoping it was still too early for anyone to show up, and then Spencer sighed, looking down at the donuts. "I shouldn't have asked you to lunch in the first place. I... I do want to have a connection with my students, but that's not... That wasn't my intention. I crossed a line I shouldn't have, and I'm sorry."
Y/N sighed, taking a donut from the box. "You know, we can't keep apologizing back and forth like this... So... Can we call it even? We're both sorry, we both fucked up, and we both promise to... act like it never happened?"
"Is... that what you want?" he asked softly, not entirely bringing his head up to look at her, but looking at her through his eyelashes.
His gaze sent a course of butterflies through her stomach, and she hated it. She hated that she was growing fond of her hot professor and that she couldn't stop thinking about his lips on hers and what they'd feel like roaming other places on her body— more specifically, over the tattoos on her skin that she always found him staring at from time to time. She hated that he was charming and pretty and smart, and she hated that he gave a shit about her.
That's why her throat burned like acid when she lied. "Yes. That's what I want."
And for the sake of professionalism, he was inclined to believe her, even though deep down his heart knew that she was lying to him. "Alright then. Thank you for the donuts."
She smiled, trying not to shake as she held her donut up in the air. "Anytime, Professor."
Then she took a bite and walked to her seat, the two of them eating in silence while they waited for class to start

The next two weeks went by seemingly slower and slower by the second. If it were a normal situation, Spencer and Y/N going back to their normal student-teacher routine would have been a good thing. And in a way, it most certainly was. However, they both felt plagued by their distance in a way that hadn't been so daunting in a long time.
Almost every day the girls behind Y/N would continue talking about their professor (quieter this time, though still loud enough that she could hear for herself). And every time they did, her thoughts inevitably dragged back to his lips on hers, soft and hard all at the same time, a feeling she knew she'd never be able to experience again. And then she'd glance up at him, seeing him concentrate as he graded papers or read a book, and her insides would burn once more, a reminder of everything she couldn't have.
Likewise, Spencer would be lecturing, glance over at Y/N by happenstance, and that low simmer returned to his veins, begging him to turn back now or re-enter the dark cloud of desire that threatened to ruin his career. He was thankfully able to recover quickly, though not without trying to quell the heat that flooded through his body at the remembrance of her kisses.
Each day was like a ticking time bomb. They waited until the semester was over— hopefully they wouldn't have to see each other and all could have been forgotten. But the days didn't want to fly. They wanted to ride on the back of a snail, just slugging along until it was almost painful to experience.
Even still, Spencer and Y/N went about their days until the semester was one week away from finishing.
It was Monday, class was just about to end, and then he called her over while everyone was chatting amongst themselves.
To say she was nervous was an understatement. Nonetheless, she made her way to his desk with as much normalcy as possible, and the closer she got to him, the warmer she got. It was exhausting, really.
"What's up?" she asked blankly.
"I just wanted to... congratulate you on your work. Truthfully, you've exceeded just about everyone else in terms of quiz and test scores, your work ethic is above average from what I've seen in most students... You're smart,, and you know the material really well. And... A colleague of mine and I are attending a seminar on profiling in New York, and I think you should come with. Present your final essay to the group."
Y/N blinked a few times. "Wait... You're serious?"
"Mhm. I've showed your work to my colleagues and they're all impressed by you. I'm... not exactly sure what your plans for your future are, but I really think you have something special here. And if... If it's not something that interests you, at least consider coming to the seminar anyway. Regardless, your work is exceptional and I think you should be proud of it. I... I know I am..."
The bell rang then, and everyone filtered out as Y/N stood there awkwardly, thinking everything over.
"I don't need an answer right away, but the seminar is on Saturday, so any time before then would be great. Think about it?"
She looked around to make sure no one was around before speaking, her throat tight. "You're not... just saying this because of... what we did? I mean, you really think I'm... I'm good enough to do this?"
Spencer's eyes softened, and against his better judgement, he reached a hand out to touch her shoulder. "I really do. I wasn't lying, you're exceptionally smart and you really could have a future in the FBI, not even as a profiler if you don't want to. But as always, it's your decision. All I'm asking is that you take some time to think about it. Is that okay?"
Y/N always knew that despite the attraction they had to each other, Spencer was a professional first, and he always did encourage her in her studies. She knew he saw something in her, something bright and worth teaching, worth growing, and in that moment, that's what his eyes conveyed. He truly believed in her, not because—or even in spite—of the forbidden moments and feelings they shared, but in addition to them. If anything their feelings were considered the addition here. Because while, yes, their bodies were buzzing at proximity to one another, their heads and their hearts were more connected in that moment than anything, with sheer understanding and care and belief for one another that extended past physical attraction.
Y/N smiled, nodding. "Okay. But I don't need to think about it. I'll go."
"Are you sure? You really don't have to say yes if you don't wa—"
"Yes. I'm sure. A—And thank you, Sp—ah, Professor. I... Thank you." She laughed a little, possibly the most flushed she'd ever been around him, and it made him smile
"Of course."
***
One thing they didn't really put into consideration was the fact that the semester was now over.
It was Saturday, the morning of the seminar, and Y/N was scheduled to fly with Spencer and his colleague, Doctor Tara Lewis, to New York City. Currently, Dr. Lewis was asleep, on the other side of the jet, and Y/N and Spencer were left awake, sitting across from each other and completely buzzing with energy.
You could see why this might have been a problem they hadn't considered.
Y/N wasn't technically his student anymore, and they'd became well aware of the fact after she showed up at the BAU, where she met the rest of Spencer's co-workers and friends. His family, from all she'd heard. And there was a conversation she couldn't help but overhear after they were soon set to leave.
"Now I know why you really brought her along." The voice belonged to Luke Alvez. She was sure of it— his voice was hard to forget. Especially when it was laced with suggestion.
"What do you mean?" Spencer asked.
As cute as his cluelessness was, Y/N couldn't help the bubbles of nerves that erupted  throughout her body like a torpedo shooting through water.
"You couldn't be more obvious if you tried, man. Sure, she's smart, and we all know it. But if what you've told us is true, she's also Mystery Motorcycle Mama."
"Wha—How do you know that?" Spencer exclaimed, obviously a little worried. Y/N couldn't say she blamed him.
"Oh, come on, a woman looking like that shows up, you expect me not to believe she's the one you made out with on the street? It wasn't hard to figure out."
The fact that he'd even told someone about that made her nerves rise. She'd wanted to talk to her mom about it for weeks but thought it might have caused trouble, too scared to even think about it.
Luke quelled some of the nervous tension though, when he said, "Don't worry about it, first of all, no one is going to say anything. Okay, and secondly, technically she's not your student anymore... What's stopping you?"
"W— She's a student, first of all, and... I don't know, we've finally gotten back to normal, I don't... I don't want to jeopardize that, especially now that we're going on this... trip together..."
This trip together... Y/N chewed the inside of her cheek, suddenly feeling a little warmer and a whole lot more anxious. It wasn't bad, though, more thoughtful. If anything she was interested to see how he'd react around her now that their professional relationship had somewhat come to a halt.
And now they were staring at each other on the jet. Y/N's fingers tapped gently against the table while Spencer's knee bounced rapidly. They were only twenty minutes out, and since they were on the jet it wouldn't be a long flight. But once again, time wouldn't fly. The only difference was, now there was nothing really standing in their path aside from the obvious taboo of it all. People always heard about teachers that got with former students, and it was always so scandalous.
And while it was obvious that they wouldn't be able to publicly say they were 'together', there was something like a barrier between them that had been shattered, or at least see-through in a way that it hadn't been before. It was a little easier to breathe, even, though they still somehow managed to take each others' breath away. It was always just a look, a little smile in the other person's direction, and all ability to function was gone.
The fact that they were still so captivated by each other, even through all the awkwardness and worry, was something that gave them hope. Hope that once this was all over and there was absolutely nothing stopping them from being together, they could still find their way back, and be just as connected to and enchanted by each other as they'd always been.
But for now, at least, they still had this seminar, something he'd only invited her to because of her academic achievements. And because of that, whatever happened between them had to be strictly professional
As if they hadn't already spent almost an entire semester repressing their feelings and only visiting each other in dreams.

The group spent the majority of the day getting a tour of the campus they were visiting. Their actual presentations wouldn't start until 7pm, where they'd speak in an auditorium that very much reminded Spencer of his own classroom.
After lunch, some more touring, and then dinner, the three of them found themselves back at their rooms, going over the material. Of course, Tara and Spencer were naturals since they'd both done a handful of teaching, but Y/N was nervous. She'd never given a big presentation like this before, even if it was only just reading sections of her essay that coincided with what Tara and Spencer were talking about.
"It's dumb," she said, slamming her papers on Tara's bed. "I shouldn't be this nervous about reading in front of people, especially since I'm such a goddamned delight in regular conversation."
Tara laughed. "You'll be great, I promise. You've read through it a million times, and even if you don't have it memorized, it'll be right there for you if you need it."
"I... I know." She started pacing a little, trying to even out her breathing. "But I... I've never done anything like this before and I... I don't want to mess up. I mean, Spencer believes in me, enough to have wanted me here, and I don't want... I don't want to let him down."
"You won't. Do... you know how I know?"
Y/N shook her head and sat down next to Tara, smoothing out the skirt she had on. She never wore skirts. She could have worn pants, but something pulled her to the short black fabric, and right now she didn't want to think about what that was. All she wanted to do was focus on calming her nerves.
"I know because... in the little amount of time that I've known you, I can tell how dedicated you are. How strong and smart you are. You know how to hold a room, and you know how to talk to people. And it helps that you know what you're talking about... You do know what you're talking about, right?"
Y/N laughed, genuinely laughed, and nodded.
"Then there you go. You'll be a natural."
The fact that one of Spencer's colleagues, whom he seemed to trust wholeheartedly, believed in her just as much, saw the same talent and dedication that he did, eased her troubled mind quite easily. She thought the worst was over, and to some degree it was.
She wasn't nervous anymore, worried that she'd disappoint Spencer, though when he knocked, came into her and Tara's room, and stopped, looking Y/N up and down with an enrapturement she hadn't seen on anyone's face before, her stomach dropped.
That look? It had been precisely why her mind begged her to put the skirt on instead of the pants.
The black velvet fabric was tight and ended mid-thigh, revealing half of a tattoo she had hidden— black and lavender flowers that matched the color of her blouse. It was a long-sleeve turtleneck that covered the tattoos on her arms and neck, but hugged her figure beautifully. Her hair was pinned up elegantly, loose strands framing the front of her face and big golden hoops dangling from her ears. Her face was completely void of the vivid makeup she always wore, replaced with a shiny, sheer lip gloss and simple eyeliner and mascara. The one thing that stood out, other than the tattoos visible on her thigh and her hands, was a golden eyebrow ring that glinted under the dim light of the hotel bedroom.
She was easily the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.
And he had to stop himself from falling to his knees as he cleared his throat to talk. "Um, it's time to go."
The two of them were glad to have Tara as a buffer, because her "Alright, let's get going," while ushering them out the door made breathing a little easier.
So yes, Y/N certainly wasn't nervous about speaking in front of the crowd anymore. Rather, she was eager to see how focused Spencer would be during the presentation. It was hard enough for him to teach whenever she wore a particularly low-cut top in class—of course she noticed—so seeing her that closely, having her right there within his reach as they taught together, presented a jolt of excitement that gave her an extra boost of confidence.
Admittedly, though, the way she felt his eyes burn into her every cell made it extremely hard to concentrate on anything.
Nonetheless, Y/N, Spencer, and Tara eventually found themselves standing in front of maybe fifty people, students and administrators alike. Y/N swallowed hard, trying to push down any nerves that arose just then, but a soft hand at her lower back centered her.
"You're going to be great," Spencer whispered in her ear, his thumb gently stroking her back. She took a deep breath and nodded, feeling... thankful, in more ways than one.
The actual presentation itself was a breeze. With one encouraging nod from both Spencer and Tara, Y/N stood at one of the podiums and read off sections of her essay with clarity and confidence. Even though it was only a few paragraphs at a time, few and far in between when coupled with Spencer and Tara's detailed, more experienced presentations, Y/N was immensely proud of herself.
She felt like she belonged there. Not like in school, where everybody judged her because she was a loner. Here she didn't stand out, at least not in a jarring or negative way.
And Spencer could see all of it. As she stood there, speaking to the crowd, he took in her confidence, basking in it like it was the sun. Like she was the sun.
They took questions for a few minutes, and Y/N was obviously a little rattled, not expecting to get any questions of her own. But she answered each one with grace, practically beaming with pride and accomplishment.
***
Under the dim streetlights and with glittering snow behind her, she looked absolutely angelic.
Y/N and Spencer offered to wait outside while Tar talked with some of the administrators about coming back sometime in the Spring. But chances are, Y/N wouldn't be there, so Spencer wasn't even sure that he cared to come back. At least not right then, watching her pace around happily in the snow, her smile as wide and as radiant as he'd ever seen it.
"That was... I can't believe I did that!" She was in complete awe, and it reminded him of the day he hopped off her motorcycle and went on a similar tangent. The feeling of a rush, of pure, unadulterated joy... "I mean, I can because you believed in me, and I know it's probably kind of dumb to be this excited about a presentation, but like... I did it! I was..."
"You were a natural," Spencer mused, feeling his whole body warm at the sight of her smiling at him.
She stepped closer and closer, nodding. "I felt incredible."
"You are incredible..."
Once again they found themselves on the sidewalk, completely unbothered and so taken with each other it was hard to breathe.
And then she stepped forward and kissed him, much like he'd kissed her. Their lips melded like they'd never left in the first place, and that familiarity between them added fuel to an already significant flame.
Y/N threaded her fingers through his hair and reveled in his reciprocation as his tongue gently opened her mouth further. He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her as tightly to him as he possibly could. And when she melted into him, giving herself over to him completely, he finally felt peace. Right then there was no worry, no awkwardness or burning tension that ate at him until he wasn't sure he could contain himself anymore... He simply just... was. He provided her with warmth and comfort, and in turn she provided him with a feeling of excitement... Of adventure and genuine fun and joy.
He never wanted to let her go.
While there wasn't a truck full of teenagers to break them out of their spell with whooping and hollering, there was a one Doctor Tara Lewis who cleared her throat.
"Sorry to interrupt," she said, highly amused. Meanwhile Spencer and Y/N split apart, refusing to look at her. "You ready to go?"
"Uh huh," Y/N said, at the same time Spencer said, "Yep."
Tara laughed, patting both of them on the shoulder as she walked in front of them.
Normally, they would have stayed apart from now on, but the only person they knew who could expose them was already there, and she clearly had no intentions of saying anything to hurt them.
So, Spencer reached out for Y/N's tattooed hand, and she took it gladly, staying close to him as they walked the two blocks to their hotel.

BAU as College Professors AU
*cracks knuckles*
Penelope
penelope is a graphic design professor
she loves teaching kids about the wonders of photoshop!!
hates illustrator and indesign with a burning passion
(the illustrator pen tool can fucking choke for all she cares)
(AND HOW THE FUCK DO YOU PUT THE FRONT AND COVER TOGETHER IN INDESIGN!?!?)
(she really hates both applications sm 😭)
is always reluctant to teach them but does it begrudgingly
(she’s just glad there’s other professors in the department that teach editorial and graphic illustration)
teaches photography!!
encourages the students to be as expressive as they want to be with their pictures!!!
she’ll be just as enthusiastic to see a close up of a sneaker as she is to see a sunset landscape shot
teaches the graphic design studio classes too!!
she always has music playing!!
half the time, her students come into the class and her glasses are all skewed, her hands are covered in paint or glue and some abstract art piece is sitting on her desk
when the students ask her what it is, she just gives the projects human names
“hey professor... what did you make there?” “oh, this?? her name is... pam.... yeah, pam”
she doesn’t offer up any further explination than that
and the students just accept it
her office light is always off
but she has multiple fairy lights in various colors hung up
her office is v inviting!!!
students come to her to vent or to talk about their problems bc the campus therapist doesn’t help all lmao
she always has on the most unique outfits but she pulls them off so well
a ray of sunshine tbh!!
Spencer
teaches major science and math courses
he teaches chemistry but only chem for majors in chemistry
it’s not that he can’t teach chem for non majors
but he sometimes gets too ahead of himself and forgets he’s teaching a course for non majors
it’s easier for him to teach for majors because the students can follow his ramblings better
he teaches upper level math courses and usually only has like three students in those classes
he’ll sit up on his desk and debate with the students for the entire hour about the riemann hypothesis
he gets excited because the students are just as enthusiastic as he is
he is two extremes
he either shows up to his classroom like a half hour early and writes out all his notes on the board so that when the students come in, he can go right into lecture
or he’ll show up two minutes before class starts with his hair disheveled, his tie undone and his expression glazed over and just be like “listen up i woke up late and just downed an entire pot of coffee i brewed with several cans of monster energy—i don’t exist on this dimension anymore”
on those days, he lets his students work on other projects for other classes because he knows it’s not fair to ask his students to focus if he’s not
he helps them with their homework
penelope brings him lunch sometimes to make sure he’s eating
he appreciates it a lot because between lesson plans and grading, he sometimes forgets to eat
he’s absolutely the youngest prof on campus
sometimes even his students are older than he is
but everyone addresses him correctly and respects him bc he’s really chill
his office is a disorganized mess
there’s files and papers all over his desk
and a sculpture penelope made for him (she named that one “roger”)
JJ
psychology professor
she really has a passion for teaching and learning about human psychology
(she may have started to become interested in psychology bc her sister was in the psch honors course before she died)
she comes across as a little hostile and unapproachable tbh
but she’s young
and she’s attractive
and she’s not conveniently what people think a professor looks like
she’ll respect her students if they respect her
she didn’t graduate the top of her class and work her ass off for the degree to not be respected
if there’s any inappropriate comments aimmed towards her or anyone in the class, she kicks the aggressor out immediately
she stands at the front of the room and lectures for the beginning part of the semester
once she’s built a good rapport with her students (and vise versa), she becomes more chill
she’ll sit on the edge of her desk and encourage discussion rather than following a book or a set plan
(she finds it’s more interesting that way anyway)
sometimes her students will show up ten minutes before class starts just to talk with her once they’re comfortable with her
she always answers her emails students send her (queen shit tbh 👑)
some kids in the psych major course playfully call her “mom” because she always asks them how they’re doing and about their week
(she hasn’t decided how she feels about it, but she also lets it slide)
always wears pants suits but cuffs the sleeves to the jackets
her office always smells like eucalyptus because she has a small mist diffuser plugged in
she also has a small fish tank with a beta fish inside (its the appropriate size too!!)
(she let a student name the fish—it’s name is sir bubbles of argon)
she also has a sculpture from penelope (“her name is maxine”)
her desk is very organized and clean!!
there’s a small couch in her office and her door is always open
sometimes, students will come in if they’re having a hard time and need someone to talk to
they know jj is there to listen and she always seems to understand (she doesn’t judge them either)
Emily
teaches three languages, both for majors and non majors
spanish, french and russian
(she’s also quite fluent in arabic and italian and can hold her own if she’s speaking in german or mandarin, but the students don’t need to know that)
she’s actually very intimidating lmao
students are so scared of her 😭
she’s serious af
(she smiles in class sometimes though!!)
(besides, she’s only serious inside the classroom)
(outside the classroom, she might even be as approachable as penelope)
always dressed in expensive black suits, polished heeled shoes with very dark makeup and a “don’t fuck with me” steely attitude to match
she also wears expensive watches
she always stands at the front of the class and slowly paces the entire hour
one time someone decided to fuck off in her spanish 101 class
she didn’t even yell at him, she glared
rumor has it the kid was never spotted on campus again after that
(BOY SHE SCARED HIM SO BAD HE DROPPED TF OUT)
despite that, her classes are some of the easiest to take
one because emily has a way of teaching that helps all students understand
and two because her voice is naturally very easy to listen to
students taking her french 101 are going to leave the class speaking fluent conversational french
she also doesn’t tolerate people being racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc in her class
if she catches a bigoted comment someone makes in her class, she kicks them immediately
she brings in her cat sometimes
he’s all black and his name is sergio
(he’s her esa that she brings in when she’s feeling really stressed out)
he’s clipped on a harness and sits on her shoulder or on her desk
if he meows, she accepts it as an answer
it’s the only time the students ever see professor emily prentiss as soft
well
other than the days she has the class watch foreign films because the students can tell emily has a fondness for them
her office is pretty organized like jj’s
instead of it being light and inviting, emily decorated her office on a more dark side
she has a few animal skulls, crystals and other gothic memorabilia on her desk or bookshelf
she has a small cat bed on the corner of her desk that sergio sleeps in
on the other corner is a sculpture penelope made her
(it kinda looks like a crow and emily named it kurt)
really, the only colors in her office are dark, deep purples and the small lesbian pride flag sticker on the back of her laptop
Derek
teaches history classes
but like modern history
from like 1940s to present
he refuses to follow most western history books bc they’re not accurate like at all
in his first year of teaching, the dean of his department made him use a book and he hated every second of it
how accurate could the information be if they portray king tut as a white guy???
he graduated under one of the best historians in the country
he also traveled a lot after he graduated and met a lot of people that had first hand experience with major historical events
that’s really what he bases his teachings off of—first hand experiences and encounters
every two weeks or so, he’ll invite in guest speakers to his classes to talk about what they went through (depending on his lesson plans)
that’s how he likes to teach and learn (bc he always loves to learn new things!!)
this is random, but also he is the type of professor to randomly box jump up onto a desk
he also sits in chairs backwards and has a more laid back style to teaching
his exams are based on what the students can learn from history rather than the information itself
he’s always dressed super casual!!
solid color, short sleeve button ups are a favorite!! (no tie)
he gets along with all the students
he’ll talk to the athletes about their games but sound just as enthusiastic and genuine talking with students who are majors in fine arts about their projects
he’s just a v down to earth professor tbh!!
he brings in clooney so much
like... every friday
it’s just another bonus of taking his history classes!!
he and penelope are dating
his office is full of sculptures she makes for him 🥺
he drops by her graphic design studio class with clooney to help out or even to just watch
he’s supportive and encouraging of penelope and her art!!
other than the sculptures penelope makes him, his office is a bit more disorganized than jj’s or emily’s, but cleaner than spencer’s
he has a few papers scattered on his desk but mostly he’s a little more put together
his office door has a small basketball hoop attached that he plays around with if he’s bored (and if penelope is busy)
both he and penelope have a dog bed in their office and water bowls for clooney when he comes in
Hotch
law professor
is the most intimidating professor on campus
like
seriously
if students think professor prentiss is intimidating, they haven’t met professor hotchner
he stands in the front of the room and goes over his lecture without pausing or asking questions
his voice is naturally low and intimidating and he actually never smiles
his attire and appearance is always so professional
suits
ties that are tied so tight, they look like they’re choking him
shoes so polished, he can see his reflection in them
hair always styled neatly
pants and jacket are always wrinkle free
his classes are difficult
not just because of the subject matter, but because he has a very organized, straight forward method to his teaching
students wouldn’t dare act up in his class—they’d be absolute idiots to
he’s quiet and reserved outside the classroom
if the others hear anyone talking shit about hotch behind his back, they’re always quick to come to his defense
they actually know hotch
they know he puts on a hardass exterior, but really he’s just a softie
he always lets them hang in his office with him
he listens to spencer’s ramblings and is extremely patient with him
he has lunch with emily every other day
even if she’s a pain in his ass 99% of the time, he likes that she sticks around and that he can trust her
he shows up to all of penelope’s art shows
and sometimes sits in on derek’s lectures when he has guest speakers
jj brings him pastries from the coffee shop on campus sometimes
he knows that he can come to her if he ever has anything he needs to talk about
(he never opens up to her but he really appreciates the sentiment nonetheless)
penelope has definitely made hotch a few sculptures
(he keeps them at home, but he does have one of her paintings hanging in his office)
speaking of his office it’s hands down the most organized out of all of them
his desk is so clean besides the picture of his son he proudly displays at the corner
he always has his lights off and his door shut
he seems so unapproachable, especially in class
but sometimes his lecture notes have crayon scribbles all over the page
or a small sock will fall out of his briefcase
and maybe, even for a moment, his serious demeanor falls when he spots them
and it almost reassures the students that he is human
Rossi
actually he’s the only one besides maybe reid i can see being a criminology professor
is a retired fbi agent
and successful author
so like that hasn’t changed from canon
but because he doesn’t work for the fbi anymore, he has absolutely no chill and tells all secrets
he’ll be like
talking to his class about a case he worked on in ‘83
and be halfway talking about details of cases that were supposed to be confidential
he’ll pause and go “oops” but keep talking lmaooo
penelope actually never made him a sculpture
instead she made him a coffee mug she made on the wheel and glazed herself!! (she even made her own glaze bc she’s extra like that)
carved on the side is “world’s best italian dad”
(this is because when emily introduced rossi to the group she was like “yeah he’s kinda like my dad” and now everyone calls him “dad”)
(he loves it so much though and proudly accepts his title)
he loves his mug so much and uses it every single day!!!
he’s the only professor besides penelope that let his students refer to him without the title of “professor”
he gives off kind old grandpa vibes
and that he’s only teaching because he really doesn’t have anything better to do during his retirement
but he’s chill and his class is interesting to take
(plus he really does love to teach)
he’ll ramble on and on about his “golden years” as an agent
he will especially talk a student’s ear off if they come up to him and tell him that they read one [or all] of his books
he writes a different quote on his board every single day
his attire is always business casual
he sits on the edge of the desk or on a swivel chair because it’s comfy
he was doing a lecture on jack the ripper and just pushed himself around on the swivel chair, slowly spinning around the front of the room
his voice kept changing in volume every few words because of him facing the wall and then a few moments later facing the classroom
his students refer to him as a “living breathing meme”
he has no idea what the fuck that means
but he take it as a compliment
his office is empty because he goes home after he’s done with classes lmao
he doesn’t do paperwork
or fuck with technology (he never fucking responds to emails smh)
so he has no need for an office

Professor Y/L/N was grading papers on a late afternoon in her office when a knock sounded from the door. She didn’t hear it at first because of the focus she currently had on the essay she’s grading but when the knock came again, she looked up and shouted a soft ‘come in’ towards the faceless knocker.
Peter Parker came in with his usual friendly yet shy smile. His shoulders were stiff and his head was tilted downward as if it’s a crime to visit his professor at that time. “Mr. Parker! What can I help you with?” she points at the chair in front of her desk, motioning for him to take a seat with a friendly smile. A smile that he always loved, a smile that he’ll forever love and he’ll do anything to wake up to that smile every single day. He wants to be the reason for that smile. He wasn’t that much younger than his professor. It’s also his last year so the idea of them being together wouldn’t be that taboo. He’ll have her sooner than later.
“Peter?” her soft voice interrupted his thoughts and he felt his heart flutter at the genuine look of worry that appeared on her face. Another trait he loves about her. So thoughtful and caring. He could give her the same thing if she’d just let him.
“Umm… yeah. Sorry for interrupting you but I just wanted to ask about the essay I submitted. I didn’t have much time to write it so it might seem a bit rushed and senseless,” he lets out a sad sigh before looking up at her thoughtful eyes before continuing. “I just wanted to ask if there’s a way I can fix it? I can do some extra work for extra credits. I just don’t want it to affect my final grade. I totally understand if you refuse tho—” he was rambling at that point and the professor cut him off by reaching across her desk and grasping both of his shoulders with her small hands before shaking him gently. “Relax, Peter. You’re not interrupting anything. As for your essay, I’m currently reading it and it’s not as senseless as you say it is and it doesn’t seem rushed at all. Don’t tell anyone I said this but this is the best essay I’ve read so far,” she gives him a cheeky smile and a wink before handing him the paper that had a huge red letter ‘A+’ on the upper right corner of it.
Peter sat frozen on the chair. From the moment she touched his shoulder up to the moment that their fingers brushed when she handed him his paper, not to mention the wink she just gave him. He couldn’t believe what he’s seeing right now. Is she flirting with him? Not being able to hold back any longer, he shoves the paper inside his backpack before lunging towards her and grabbing the back of her neck to gently push her towards his face.
“Peter—” she was cut off by his lips pressing against hers in a hungry kiss. Her hands found their way back to his shoulders, trying to push him away but he was stronger than her and the grip on the back of her neck just got tighter. Peter moaned through her lips as he plunged his tongue inside her mouth, tasting her. The whimper she let out went straight towards Peter’s cock. He grinds his hips against her desk and this time, she was able to push him off.
Her eyes were wide and terrified as she watched one of her students in front of her with reddened and plumped lips staring back at her. He tries to walk around the desk and towards her but she steps away and raises an arm as if to keep the distance between them. “Mr. Parker, that was very inappropriate. We could both get in big trouble and you’re almost done with college, you wouldn’t want to—” she was cut off by Peter slamming her hand down her desk, producing a loud bang to echo around the office.
“I don’t care about any of those things! Y-you like me! Maybe not as much as I like you but there’s something between us! I can sense it! Tell me you do too!” he quickly reached out for her wrists, pulling her closer towards his chest. She struggles in his grasp as she tries to pull her hands away from him. “Keep your voice down, Mr. Parker. You’re out of your mind—”
“You flirted with me!” he hisses, eyes becoming glossy every moment that passes by. “Y-you touched me, gave me a suggestive smile, and even winked at me! You clearly have feelings for me too!” his voice sounded like a child begging for something.
The professor’s eyes widened in shock and terror. The way he announced her actions towards him a few seconds ago was exaggerated and tampered with to make her sound like a child molester. He made her sound like she was seducing him when all she did was be friendly towards him to help him calm down from his upcoming panic attack due to his unending rambling.
“You got it all wrong, Mr. Parker—” she starts but gets cut off by a now fuming Peter Parker.
“Will you stop fucking calling me that?!” his eyes were dark as he stared down at her but it softened when he saw her flinch at his actions.
“Please stop calling me like that. Stop acting as if I’m just another student. Please don’t act like you weren’t making moves on me.” he breathes heavily and desperately reaches for her hands once more. The professor’s eyes popped out of its sockets as her student mentioned another jab at her innocence. She was certainly not making moves on her. He’s manipulating the story and they both know it.
“I’m afraid I no longer have time for this nonsense. I’ll have to ask you to leave, Mr. Parker.” when he didn’t make any effort to move, she slammed a binder down her desk before motioning towards the door.
“Now!”
Tumblr media
After that incident with Peter Parker, Professor Y/L/N didn’t get to see the said student again. Even if he failed to attend the remaining classes before graduation, he’ll still be able to pass because of all the previous marks he’s got in her subject. She didn’t even know why he took up her subject. He was taking biophysics and she teaches literature. Remembering the incident that took place a few weeks ago, she somehow had an idea as to why a biophysics student was taking her classes.
She couldn’t deny that she was thankful for his absence because it gave her relief and time to think. It also gave her the sense of safety from his manipulation and somehow the blackmail he’s got on her. It’s not really valid blackmail but she didn’t like the idea of having to talk to the authorities about it. She didn’t appreciate inconveniences.
Seems like luck isn’t on her side because as she was walking home from a late night at the office, a knife found its way towards her side as an arm looped its way across her neck. “Make a sound and I’ll plunge this knife deep into your fucking skin,” the knife pressed harder on her side and she lets out a whimper in pain. “Now be a good little lady and hand me your bag,” he didn’t even wait for her to hand it to him as he already plucked it out of her grasp. He pushes her away from him and she sighed in relief until he reaches for his back pocket before pointing a gun at her.
“Wouldn’t want you to tell the cops about me now, do we?” he cocks the gun before grinning at her terrified and tearful eyes. Well, so much for not liking inconveniences.
A small whipping sound was heard and she watched as a bunch of what seemed like white goo stuff stuck its way towards the barrel of the gun before flying out of the perpetrator’s hand.
“Pointing a gun at an innocent lady isn’t nice, dude,” a flash of red whips past her peripheral view before soft thump land in front of her and the back of spiderman himself fills her vision. He skillfully dodges the man’s jabs with the previous knife before stealing it with his web slingers as he did with the gun. He easily knocks the guy out with one punch. The hero turns around to face the professor before handing her bag back.
She managed to whisper a quiet thanks before gasping when he grabs a hold of her waist in a gentle manner. “Fuck! You’re bleeding!” he says through his mask, making you look down at your white blouse only to see a patch of red liquid staining it. That douchebag actually managed to penetrate the knife deeper than she thought. Her vision darkened at the sight of her own blood and she stumbled towards a nearby wall for support. The hero was quick to help her, moving an arm around her back before bending down to grasp the back of her knees to lift her up.
“Hold on. Stay awake for me, please. I’ll take care of you,” his voice was somehow familiar but she blamed it on the loss of blood she’s currently experiencing. A situation that she was somewhat thankful for because if she wasn’t trippy from the loss of blood, she would be freaking out because spiderman was swinging through buildings while her arms were absentmindedly gripping around his neck for dear life. She didn’t get to see much more because she found herself being lulled to sleep by exhaustion.
The hero looks down at her before cursing under his breath. “Shit! We’re almost there. Please, just hold on a little longer,” he curses as he felt her grip around his neck loosening. He uses one hand to support her weight and pulls her body closer against his, avoiding her wound as much as possible and using his other arm to swing them both through the buildings.
Tumblr media
The professor felt pain before she could even open her eyes. She lets out a grunt before trying to sit up when a pair of hands helped her up. Her eyes widened in realization as she remembered the events before she passed out. Her eyes were met with white ones as she came face to face with spiderman. She looks down to see her side patched up and bandaged. She looks back up to her hero before whispering out a ‘thank you’ with a shy smile and turning her face back down to inspect the bandage.
She felt a soft touch under her chin before coming face to face with the hero once more. “You really scared me there, Y/N,” his voice fills the small space between them and her eyes widened at the sound of her name coming out of the hero’s mouth. “Y-you know who I a-am?” she stutters as her eyes flickered towards the hero’s other hand that was reaching under his mask.
The professor tries to look away but her face was kept in place by the hero’s hand as he continues to lift his mask up with his other hand. “What are you doing?” her smooth small voice asks and his heart palpitates at being able to hear her voice again. “I’m showing you that I trust you and I want you to trust me as well,” he continued to lift the mask off until his face was no longer a secret.
“P-peter?” she stared gawked at him and he looked at her with a big smile on his face. “You don’t know how happy you make me feel by simply saying my name,” he moves the hand that was on her chin to caress the side of her face. “You don’t know how scared I was when you passed out on my arms. I could never forgive myself if something worse happened to you,” he leans in to press his forehead against hers.
“Peter, this is wrong. I’m your professor,” she pulls his hand away from her face before standing up and walking a few steps away from him, an action that made him frown. “Why do you think I stopped going to your classes?” he stands up to walk towards her, reaching for her hand as he did back at her office. “I figured that you were holding back from me because you couldn’t bear the idea of being taboo but you see—” he pushes her gently until she the back of her knees hit the bed, forcing her to plop on the bed. “I’m no longer taking your classes so that means I’m no longer your student! There’s nothing else in the way!” his face was cheerful as a kid opening presents on Christmas but the professor’s reaction was the opposite of his.
“T-that doesn’t count. This is still wrong! This is just a stupid crush!” she was getting frustrated with his lack of understanding and it was really starting to show. Peter’s cheery face turned into a frown as well. “You know, I really don’t appreciate it when you shout at me. I let it pass the first time when you did back in your office but now? Now you’re just being really rude. I also don’t appreciate how you’re belittling my feelings for you. I fucking love you and you’re about to learn that. You know, you should be glad that I didn’t report your advances on me. Imagine how the dean would react when one of his pride and joy was being seduced by one of his professors?” he smirks at her reaction, eyes wide in disbelief along with horror at his words. He leans down towards her face before brushing her hair away from her face.
“If I wasn’t following you around to make sure you’re safe all the time, a bullet would’ve pierced through your head,” he brushes her forehead gently before smiling at her and raising an eyebrow. “If that isn’t true love then I don't know what is,” he raises an eyebrow when she shakes her head. “You’re not thinking straight, Peter. You can’t love me! Y-you’re just confused. Me being here isn’t right! I can’t be here!” she tries to stand but he pushes her back on the bed with a little bit of force this time.
“I told you how I don’t appreciate you shouting, Y/N,” his voice was taunting as he gently pushed on her shoulder until her back was pressed against the mattress. He crawls up her body until his elbows are pressed on the sides of her head. “I also hate it when you keep saying how my love for you isn’t real. It’s fucking real! I know that because I’m the one feeling it!” he shouts at her face leaning down to press his lips against her. She pushes on his chest but when he refuses to pull away, she bites his lip hard enough to make him pull away. Peter sits up before wiping the blood off his lips. “Not gonna lie, that was hot as fuck!” her eyes grew when he leaned back in for a kiss, immediately forcing his tongue inside her mouth and making her taste his blood through the kiss.
Peter carefully reached for the buttons of her blouse and started unbuttoning them one by one. It was a bit hard for him because his professor was squirming under him and pushing on his hands as much as she could. “Don’t move too much, you’re going to reopen your wound!” he smacks her hand away before gripping her shoulders and pushing her against the mattress. “Don’t do this!” she cried out as she watched his eyes get darker as his pupils dilate. His hands found its way to her face, his palm covering both her nose and her mouth, making it hard for her to breathe. “I don’t know how many times I should tell you that I don’t like it when you shout at me so I’m going to teach you a lesson. Isn’t that cool? You used to be the one teaching me a lot of things but now, I’ll be the one to do so!” he laughs before pressing his palm harder against her face. “If you keep on shouting, I would have to cover this pretty mouth of yours and I don’t like doing that because I love seeing your whole face but if you keep shouting at me, I wouldn’t have a choice,” he watches her eyes as it starts to tear up and kisses the ones that decided to fall.
Her hands were scratching his arms, silently begging for a chance to breathe again but he didn't budge. When her attempts to pull his arms away gets weak, he softens his hold against her so she could take a few breaths only to be stopped by his hardening grip against her face again. Her feet were going wild under his weight and her arms were scratching harder on his arms. Making a swift motion towards her hands, Peter had her wrists stuck to the headboard with his spider webs in a blink and he grins when he finds her completely frozen under him.
“Isn’t this so much better?” his grin turned into a frown when he saw her face covered with tears, making him breathe out a sigh. “Do you promise not to shout at me again?” he looks at her with hopeful eyes, eyes that she used to think of as innocent and beautiful brown orbs but now they are going to be the eyes that will forever haunt her.
She nods eagerly against his hold, making his face shine in adoration before lifting his hand away from her face. She gasps for air while Peter strokes the side of her face gently. “Such a good girl,” his voice was filled with so much love that matches the glint in his eyes. “I promised that I’ll take good care of you and I’m going to do just that,” he wipes her face clean before maneuvering her body carefully until she was no longer wearing her blouse.
Peter leaned down to kiss over the bandage carefully before moving to kiss the spot under her bra. His hands gently massage her breasts over the bra before moving towards her back, gently lifting her up and skillfully unhooking her bra and tossing it to the side. He leans down to press a wet kiss on her right nipple while he massages her left one, pinching the nipple teasingly until they were erect. He repeats the motion with the other one before looking up at her to see her watching his every move. He moved up so he was kissing her lips again, moaning in delight when he felt her lips moving against his.
The professor couldn’t do anything but watch as Peter peppered her skin with kisses. He made it clear that he could ruin her career with just a snap so she decided to give him what he wanted and kissed him back, earning a low moan from him. Her only thought was the faster he gets what he wants, the quicker this nightmare would end.
One of Peter’s hands made its way under her skirt, running his fingers on the inside of her thighs before moving her underwear to the side and running a finger up and down her slit. “Hmm, so fucking wet for me,” he mumbles against her lips. He wasted no time in inserting a finger inside and curling it every time he would pull it out before inserting it again. He smiles through the kiss when she starts grinding her hips against his fingers when he adds another finger. He watches as her eyes start fluttering when he starts rubbing her clit with his thumb.
He swallowed her moans and grunts when he felt her clenching around his fingers. “Cum for me,” he hisses against her lips and pulls away from the kiss to watch her reaction as she releases her first orgasm. Her eyes were slammed shut while her mouth was slightly open. Her back arched under him while her legs shook in delight. “Such a pretty sight,” he smiles at her before moving away from her to stand in front of the bed.
Mind still foggy from the orgasm, she waits for him to do something but he continues standing at the end of the bed, watching and observing her. She wanted to cover herself so bad but her wrists remained stuck on the headboard. She watches in anticipation as his fingers start pulling her skirt down at a very slow pace followed by her underwear. Completely naked in front of him, he gets on his knees and carefully places her legs on her shoulders, his head in between her legs. He starts placing wet kisses on her skin, from the inside of her ankle to the inside of her thighs. He admires the goosebumps on her skin before placing a kiss on her sensitive bud.
Her body jumps at the sensation of his tongue licking their way up her wet slit. His soft laugh causes air to hit her sensitive cunt making her gasp at the feeling. He starts lapping on her wet cunt, groaning in delight at the taste of her juices. “Taste. So. Fucking. Sweet,” he says in between kisses and laps on her slit. She loses control of the situation and starts bucking her hips up against his mouth, begging for more and that’s exactly what he gave her.
He inserts a finger while his tongue works its magic on her clit, adding another finger inside when he hears her wanton moan above him. His fingers were making wet and sloppy noises while his tongue made slurping noises against her clit. He felt her hips spasming and before he knew it, his face was wet with her juices. She let out a cry when his tongue slurped all of her juices, licking one last swipe on her slit before pulling away.
She feels a wave of embarrassment when she sees his chin glistening with her wetness and tries to look away but Peter was quick to get on top of her, gripping her chin gently to make her look back at him. “You’re fucking amazing and don’t you ever be embarrassed about it,” he kisses her lips hungrily, making her taste herself in his lips and shoving his tongue down her throat. “See? You taste so fucking delicious,” he pulls away, his voice was hoarse against her mouth, reminding her of all the things he’s done to her.
She knew he was far from getting what he wanted and she was proven correct when he situated himself between her legs before pressing a palm on his chest, making his suit fall limp on his body. He quickly steps out of the suit as he rubs his hard cock with one hand while the other hand places itself gently on her hip, pinning her body down the bed. He rubs his tip up and down her slit, mixing his precum with her juices before moving the tip to tease her clit.
The professor gulped as she felt his tip pressing against her opening before slowly slithering in only to be pulled out once the whole tip was inside her cunt. He continued to do this for a while before he couldn’t anymore, the veins on his cock were pulsating so hard, begging for him to find his release. He leans his face down to her face, pressing a kiss on her forehead and wiping some of her hair away from her face with his free hand. He places a soft kiss on her lips before plunging his hard cock inside her to the hilt, shushing her with another kiss when she hissed in pain. “I got you. Don’t worry, I got you,” he says against her lips, staying in place to let her adjust to his size when all he wanted to do was ruin her tight pussy that was currently clenching around him but he wanted her to feel great. He wanted her to love and enjoy every moment of this so he waited.
When her body started to relax against him, he pulled out before bottoming out once more that earned a loud wanton mewl from her. Grinning at her reaction, he continues the slow pace, savoring the feeling of her walls around his cock. He feels her grinding against his hips and mumbling words under her breath. “What is it? I can’t hear you,” he grins at her face. “P-please go faster,” she says a little louder and he beams at her words before slamming his hips against hers at a devious speed. The sounds of skin slapping each other fills the room and Peter moves his lips to her neck, licking and sucking and nipping at the skin until she’s a moaning mess underneath him.
“You love this? Tell me you love feeling my cock ruin this gorgeous tight pussy of yours,” he sucks harshly at the skin on her neck before pulling away to wait for her response. She looks at him with tearful eyes before nodding eagerly. “Y-yes. I love it so much!” she yelps when he places one of her legs on his shoulder before slamming into her at an even faster speed, fishing for another orgasm from her.
“Fuck!” Peter groans in pleasure when he feels her clenching tighter around him. He doesn’t let his pace waver, determined to make her cum around him. He reaches for her clit before rubbing it with a vigorous speed that earned a loud wail from her. “That’s it, Y/N. Cum for me. Please, please cum for me,” he pressed on her clit before letting out a shout when she finally cums around him, strangling his cock with her walls.
She feels her vision darken from another orgasm. Her back was still arched when she started to come down from her orgasm but Peter’s thrusts weren't stopping. He continues his penetration, grunting here and there at the feeling of her cunt pulsing around him. His elbow fell beside her face and he was looking at her with glossy eyes, begging for something. She soon finds out what it is he’s begging for when she feels his fingers on her clit once more. She tried to tilt her hips away from him but was stopped by his hand gripping his hip and pushing it down the mattress. “Just one more, please. Cum for me one last time,” he pants above her face before moving his hand back to her oversensitive clit and rubbing on it at a normal speed. It didn’t take long for her to build up another orgasm because she was already sensitive from her previous orgasms and he could feel her getting close because her walls were starting to flutter against him.
“That’s it. That’s it, Y/N. You’re doing so good for me,” he continues slamming his hips into hers and in no time, she has reached yet another orgasm. “Fuck fuck fuck. FUCK!” his eyes slammed shut as he slams his full length deep inside her cunt before spilling inside of her. He gives a few more thrusts, making sure that she’s got all of his cum before falling beside her carefully so as to not hit her wound.
He stares at her tired face and watches as her eyes slowly fall shut, falling asleep from exhaustion and he couldn’t help but smile at the view. He presses a wet kiss on her forehead before pulling her closer to his chest and falling asleep as well, his cock slowly falling limp inside her.
Tumblr media
The professor was shaken awake by a smiley Peter who was staring down at her. “Hey there, sleepyhead,” he says in a teasing tone before bending down to press a kiss on her lips and helping her stand from the bed. “Let me check on this real quick and then we can eat the breakfast I cooked for you. Does that sound great to you?” he kneels down in front of her, fumbling with her bandage before looking up at her with a raised eyebrow. She nods absentmindedly before watching him stand up after checking on her wound. He helps her put on a shirt that was probably his and a pair of sweatpants. He stepped a few steps away from her before grinning at her. “You look really cute in my clothes. Comfy really looks pretty on you,” he blushes before taking her hand and leading her out of the room and into a kitchen.
She was enveloped with the sweet smell of pancakes and she finds herself being gently pushed down on a chair while Peter places a plate that was stacked up with pancakes covered with syrup and blueberries. Peter watches her with a smile as she munches on her breakfast before munching on his own.
After a few bites, she hears the jingling of keys and looks up to see him sliding a chain of keys on the table. “W-what’s that for?” her morning voice sends an electric line straight to his cock but he ignores it before giving her a sweet smile. “Your key to our penthouse,” he states nonchalantly.
“P-penthouse? O-our?” she stutters and looks at him cautiously as he laughed at her reaction. “We don’t have to move now. It’s just something I bought with the help of Tony,” her eyes widened at the realization of him having connections with the Tony Stark. Peter Parker would be able to ruin her name easily.
“We can move after I graduate. Don’t give me that look. I’ll never do anything to hurt you. I’ll only do what’s best for you. This is just the start of our forever,” he stands up and walks over to her, helping her out of the chair before pressing a long kiss on her lips. “You deserve the best and I’ll make sure that you get just that.”

BSD x university au hc’s | pt. 1
hi i am an absolute slut for university au’s in case you couldn’t tell so i just had to write some for my first BSD post. also this is going to be slightly ooc because i am a crackhead
check out pt. 2 here
***********************************************
Atsushi Nakajima:
Tumblr media
he’s definitely the kind of guy who still had no idea what he’d take up in university even after he was accepted
either wants to not major in anything at all or just major in everything because he’s also scared that he’ll eventually not like what he’s majoring in
so for his first two years you’d probably find him jumping around different classes
also he still calls the professors ‘teacher ____’ like a high school student and everyone laughs but thinks its cute
eventually, because of his *cough cough* traumatic childhood he decided he wanted to help children by becoming a guidance counselor
he ends up taking Child Psychology and bOY does he love it so much
well he actually just loves all of his classes because Learning is Fun
although because of his *cough cough* traumatic childhood he’s the one in class that people are all like 👀👀
atsushi: *talking about children’s responses to fear and emotional abuse by talking about his own emotional abuse*
the professor, under their breath: wait, do you need help??
i can definitely see atsushi as a Roommate of the Year kind of guy. he’s just so polite and tidy with his room. also he’d definitely be the type to take care of plants inside the dorm room and put them on the windowsill
in terms of extracurricular activities, he’s definitely a sporty type of person so i can see him joining a varsity (something like Frisbee because he likes things that go whoooosh) but he’d probably join a student org that does stuff like community outreach
because of all this, he is a Very Busy Boy but his friends do manage to drag him out to parties once in a while
although atsushi would probably sit in a corner and drink only one beer for the entire night
he’s notorious for helping drunk people though. most of the time he’ll be putting blankets on people and making them drink water
if he knew how to drive he’d definitely be the designated driver
Akiko Yosano:
Tumblr media
omg i’m so excited for this i love yosano so much
she’s the friend who’s just effortlessly awesome all around and a fricking MED STUDENT to top it all off
she gets a bit too excited when it’s dissection time but it’s alright she has good intentions
probably the only one in your class who doesn’t go and throw up whenever a cadaver is being used (actually do they still use cadavers i have absolutely no idea)
she also interns at the local hospital as part of her degree program but OMG yosano will not stop telling disgusting stories about the patients she’s had
everyone: *eating lunch peacefully in the dining hall*
yosano: so i pulled a guy’s toe out of a meat grinder this morning
everyone: sHUT UP
for some reason she still has a social life despite being a med student and it’s one of the mysteries of life i guess
yosano LOVES going out clubbing on friday nights. if you have the fortune of being her roommate, be prepared for make-overs and being dragged with her out to the city
she’s such a social butterfly like at every bar you go to, the bartender knows her name and her regular order. she’d probably end the night befriending a couple more people
also she’s amazing at karaoke i kid you not
as for extracurricular life, i don’t think yosano’s the type to join an org that’s related to her major cause like ‘what’s the point?’
instead, she’d probably go wherever her friends are because to her, she’ll enjoy any activity as long as she’s with people she loves
but when it comes to her own interests, i can definitely see yosano as someone who loves the outdoors, especially hiking after having to be cooped up inside clinics
it just makes her love and appreciate the value of life more
Kunikida Doppo:
Tumblr media
ok, i KNOW he was a math teacher before he joined the ADA bUT i can’t help but think of him as a political science major ??
i can definitely imagine kunikida as someone who’d want to become a lawyer someday and would take political science as a pre-law
he does like the idea of following in the footsteps of great men but omg kunikida would absolutely hate the exclusivity of white, male political theorists
he is such a good student except for when his professor has some sketchy values then kunikida will !! fight him !! every !! chance !! he gets !!
raises his hand constantly to contradict his professor if they even tRY to defend thomas hobbes and authoritarianism
but other than that he’s probably the most diligent student out there. kunikida genuinely enjoys doing the readings for class and writing essays
also has such a balanced schedule that he can make time for anything and everything
except for when his friends dazai drag him out to parties and get a social life
despite how rigid he is, kunikida has absolutely no problem helping out others with learning. he often holds study sessions in his dorm room or in the library before exams
he also likes to volunteer in tutorial centers because he’s just like that
OH OH some of his ‘students’ suggested that he make crash-course type videos for political science and it took some convincing but eventually kunikida decided to go for it
he’s not the most tech savvy or photogenic person so it took some time for him to get used to things but after seeing all the comments from people who benefited from it, he decided to continue with his crash course videos
whether or not he’s the best or worst roommate is completely up to you. if you like someone who’ll basically micromanage your life from your daily schedule to your study habits, you’ll absolutely love him
he doesn’t like to go out for parties that much but he will if his friends convince him enough (kunikida’s an utter lightweight when it comes to drinking though)
Osamu Dazai:
Tumblr media
i genuinely have a hard time thinking about what this guy’s major would be and tbh even his friends have been wondering what dazai’s major was for TWO YEARS
that’s because he keeps taking the most random ass classes like Basic Pottery or Intro to Molecular Biology in the same semester
idk how he even plans to graduate at this point
although to be honest, i can definitely see him as a philosophy major despite the fact that i LOATHE every male classmate i’ve had who’s a philosophy major (idk they’re always so condescending)
i feel like dazai’s just taking that because it’s somewhat challenging for him but to him, university life is just more of crazy experiences rather than learning
and oh my god has he gotten up to the weirdest shit
the number of times he had to climb gates or sleep on benches at three a.m. is too many to count
dazai also loves volunteering for random things like people’s thesis projects (once, he offered to be a snake venom tester to a bio student and they told him that was illegal) or even being the school’s mascot in games
also he and kunikida probably met each other in freshman year at an intro to philosophy class and oh my god did dazai get on his nerves
what’s worse was that they had to work on a group project together and dazai was MIA most of the time and it drove kunikida crazy
that is until dazai showed up last minute to pull an all-nighter with him for their paper and kunikida just couldn’t help but be impressed by dazai’s ~~intellect~~
they don’t exactly get along but they do have some mutual respect for each other enough to work on projects well
omg if dazai ends up being your roommate I WISH YOU LUCK
the first time you walked into your room dazai was microwaving a metal bowl and you had to run to stop it in time
also he has a tendency to wear his headphones and sing his favorite double suicide song out loud
kunikida please come pick him up
Edogawa Ranpo:
Tumblr media
i love this one man so much i swear to god
ranpo is definitely the kind of person who just didn’t like school so when college applications came around he was just like ‘why bother though ???’
his friends did convince him by saying that he wouldn’t have to do subjects he wouldn’t like and just focus on his major (this is a lie btw)
is it a surprise that ranpo would choose forensic science ?? NO
he thinks its cool that he can learn about something he’s already super good at and it just gets him really pumped up to show off how good he is
LOVES getting praised by his classmates and professors
ranpo probably thinks lectures are boring as hell so sometimes he just,,, doesn’t,,, come,,, to class
if attendance IS required you can bet he’s bringing snacks and game consoles with him and sitting WAAAAY in the back of the room
Mukbang at a Lecture Hall with Edogawa Ranpo
his classmates think its cute that he puts on glasses before doing exams or answering his prof’s questions as a way to hype himself up
everyone calls him ‘The Greatest Detective’ and ranpo LOVES IT
despite that, he’s not too overly social he just likes being with his close group of friends UwU
he’s also someone you can drag around to places like the fair or an aquarium, but he’s not into clubbing or drinking for that matter
he DOES enjoy seeing his friends get drunk and mess with them though
ranpo isn’t into joining student organizations BUT he gets scouted a lot by detective agencies and he likes interning for them
i’m saying detective agencies because police are gross
ranpo did end up joining a baking club with the assumption that he would just be EATING the cake and not BAKING the cake
yeah he was just there for less than half a semester

MESSAGES: To Remus Prince (Presentation)
Tuesday, 16:15
Hello. This is Logan Sanders from Prof. Smith’s seminar. Do you have any suggestions for how we should go about completing the upcoming assessment?
Remus Prince: who dis
I literally just stated it. Logan Sanders.
I wear the tie.
Remus Prince: OHHH
Remus Prince: Well 1stly
Remus Prince: What’s the best planet in the solar system?
Pardon?
Remus Prince: i LitERaLlY JuSt stAtED iT
That has nothing to do with anything, we just need to get through this project.
Remus Prince: if u want to work then u have to answer
Jupiter.
Remus Prince: cool.
Remus Prince: You’ll do.
Remus Prince: My name is Remus.
I know. We did actually swap phone numbers. We in fact discussed which topic we would be doing for over fifteen minutes in the seminar. So we have indeed met. If you continue to be obnoxious then this will be a easier project.
.
MESSAGES: To Remus Sanders (Presentation)
Tuesday, 16:22
Why did you ask that question?
Remus Prince: I asked my brother that question and he answered earth
Remus Prince: I’ve had trust issues ever since
Roman’s favourite planet is Earth?
 Remus Prince: HAH
Remus Prince: ye he’s an idiot
Remus Prince: I’ve gotta test everyone now.
Remus Prince: You passed btw
Remus Prince: WAIT!
Remus Prince: Do u know Ro?
Yes, he is my friend and roommate.
Remus Prince: What was ur name again????????
You can literally scroll up and reread it. I refuse. You got into university for a reason and so you can manage my name.
Remus Prince: jk
Okay then. Do you want to discuss how we should go about creating this powerpoint?
Remus Prince: what’s there to ‘discuss’?
We can separately conduct our research however it is regrettably better to meet up in person to practise not only giving the presentation but also the construction of the presentation itself.
Remus Prince: man you just love sending essays huh
I have written out longer messages. I don’t understand the point of sending a sentence at a time and risk getting interrupted. Plus at least my texting doesn’t seem all like an assault of constant notifications.
Remus Prince: fair
Shall we say that we should aim to get our presentation research finished by two weeks (15th). That leaves us another two weeks to construct the powerpoint, gather more research if necessary, then practise presenting.
Remus Prince: k

Octopussy: Not even close
Octopussy: To thinking about that project right now!
Octopussy: We’ve got ages!
Vigilant: oh sweet jesus
Octopussy: Like! We’ve got a month!
Octopussy: AN ENTIRE MONTH
Octopussy: Like he also wants to meet up as well to practise
Octopus: Like ew.
Top-Hat-Gay: Are you done?
Octopussy: ye
Octopussy: he’s a dick
Vigilant: oh thank god
Top-Hat-Gay: Ha, as if you believe in god.
Vigilant: If it stops Re from not spamming us then I’ll believe whatever.
Octopussy: rude

Top-Hat-Gay: Wait so the nerd is Logan?
Octopussy: He is!
Octopussy: not that it seems to be having any effect on Ro. he’s as dense as a brick.
Top-Hat-Gay: I saw him today going into Remy’s.
Vigilant: Why are we even talking about him
Vigilant: Like who gives a shit.
Octopussy: dunno
Octopussy: just thought it was weird
Top-Hat-Gay: Maybe you should switch partners. Especially if he wants to meet up at some point.
Octopussy: nah
Octopussy: not worth it
Top-Hat-Gay: A teacher wouldn’t care. They only want to see good grades. They won’t mind moving stuff around for you.
Octopussy: He seems harmless.
Vigilant: you literally called him a dick after one conversation.
Octopussy: he is a dick
Octopussy: he seems stuffy but just a nerd through and through. He’s not going to be a prick or anything.
Vigilant: This isn’t really about him. He already got you talking about you know who in your first ever conversation. Maybe you shouldn’t hang around him.
Octopussy: I just thought it was interesting
Octopussy: It doesn’t mean jack shit
Octopussy: Not everything I talk about has some grand meaning.
Octopussy: I just thought it was weird that this nerd I share my classes with also lives with my bro.
Top-Hat-Gay: And that’s perfectly fine Re.
Octopussy: soz V

GROUPCHAT: THE FAM ILY
Tuesday, 16:38
Pat-on-the-back: Heya guys, are we all in for dinner tonight?
Logan.S: I am.
YourHopesandDreams: I will be in at 7. If you could be so compassionate to push your meal back until then, I would be truly indebted to you.
Pat-on-the-back:  Fine by me!
Logan.S: I am agreeable.
Pat-on-the-back: Also Lo! Are you finished with your work?
Logan.S: I have finished my to-do list so I am available if I’m needed.
Pat-on-the-back: No, you’re all good! I just wanted to check. It sounded like you were doing work for like four hours straight.
Logan.S: It took three hours thank you very much.
Logan.S: So what are we doing for dinner?
Pat-on-the-back: I was thinking lasagne!
Pat-on-the-back: also! Don’t think I’ll notice that change in topic!
Pat-on-the-back: I thought we all agreed on two hour stretches of work with a 15 min break at least. I mean... it’s even written on our calendar! There’s no way you forgot, did you Mister!
Logan.S: It’s fine Pat.
Logan.S: Just let it go
Logan.S: I needed to get it done
Logan.S: I don’t need to be babied.
Logan.S: I’m taking a break now. I’m okay.
Pat-on-the-back: I know, I’m sorry. I just want to make sure. As long as you feel okay then everything’s alright! How was your work anyway?
Logan.S: Fairly ordinary actually. I had to go through some of my notes and rewrite a couple of pages then I had to organise a group project due the 2nd of March.
Pat-on-the-back: Sounds productive!
Logan.S: Thank you.
YourHopesandDreams: Ew. Group project. Who’s your partner?
Logan.S: We are in entirely different courses, why do you think you would know them?
YourHopesandDreams: Everyone knows the drama students know everyone.
Logan.S: I’m working with Remus.
YourHopesandDreams: You should ask to swap partners.
Logan.S: I won’t do so unless I have a genuine reason. I’ve not had any interactions with him previously and while he did seem half-hearted and obnoxious in his messages, he seems harmless. If he messes everything around then I will but I won’t make a fuss unless I have reason to.
Pat-on-the-back: That’s fair but please make sure to tell us if he pulls anything.
YourHopesandDreams: Your loss.

MESSAGES: To Nerd
Wednesday, 3:02
hey u awake
Nerd: What on earth are you doing up at 3am?
Oh
Soz
Wrong number.
MESSAGES: To Nerd
Wednesday, 3:12
Nerd: What is your favourite planet?
wha
Nerd: I figured it would be fair to ask your test to you. For all I know you could be as uncultured as your brother.
can we not talk about him
I dunno really
I wanna say pluto because they deserve it
but I kinda like saturn best.
Nerd: Any reason why?
Just kinda interesting
Big, lots a moons, ring.
It’s just a cool planet.
Nerd: Fair enough.
Do you have a reason to like jupiter?
Nerd: If I’m being honest, my science teacher absolutely adored Jupiter. I don’t know why but that memory of him ranting about how cool it was just really stuck with me. I was only about 8 years old. But I found myself agreeing with him. Back then my fascination was a lot more childish. I thought it was fascinating that since Jupiter was a gas planet it hadn’t been blown away yet. I grew up from that view but the interest never left.
ew that was almost cute.
Nerd: I concur that was very unprofessional.
WAIT
WAIT
HOLD ON
Why hasn’t Jupiter blown away!?!?!?!?!??
Nerd: Excuse me?
8YR OLD YOU IS A GENUIS
Nerd: There’s no atmosphere in space!
But there’s pressure and junk isn’t there?
Nerd: The pressure is pulling the mass into the centre which keeps the planet whole.
Do you think we could step on Jupiter?
Nerd: I don’t know.
I thought you knew space!
Nerd: I do biology! To get into a biology degree, I did a bunch of biology based subjects! Why would I know anything about space?
I dunno.
I guess if you look like a nerd people just presume.
Nerd: I’ve personally found it’s the confidence. If you act confident enough then everyone presumes you know exactly what you’re doing and you’re in control, no matter how out of place you look.
I’ll drink to that!
Wait, in what situation would you have learnt this!?!
Nerd: I have a bad habit of accidentally going to the wrong class and just going along with it rather than anything else. Although I should say I did fantastic in that architectural history class. But this habit has caused some awkward situations. I have also impersonated a store manager to explain why me and my friend were there when really he ran into the warehouse searching for a kitten.
HAH
That’s brilliant
Using your nerdy powers to overthrow society.
Does this mean you’re a liar?
Nerd: I call it ‘managing life’.
HAH
Sounds about right.
Why are you awake at this time?
Nerd: I could ask you that.

Tam stumbled into his first 8 am class, anxiety making his heart feel like it was pounding out of his chest and stomach doing backflips.
If he could survive bouncing between foster homes, a short stint at juvie, and worst of all high school, he could survive college.
Well he thought he could until he saw a familiar person right next to the only available chair in the room.
God fucking damn it.
"Hey Bangs Boy!" Keefe waved him down, causing a scene. Tam had no option but to sit beside him, both because of the lack of chairs and the fact that everyone was now staring at him.
Not a great start.
"What a coincidence! I notice you still haven't taken my suggestions on your hair, I'm telling ya' you'd get all the girls and or guys and nonbinary pals with a man bun." Keefe looked smug at the fact he'd be able to taunt Tam for another semester, minimum. Tam was already making a mental note to check when he could swap out of classes.
"Keefe, if I knew you were going here I would've just gotten myself back in jail, oh wait, you were the one who got me in there in the first place." Tam shot him a look, praying that he'd suddenly develop superpowers and shoot lasers from his eyes.
"Hey, just because I came up with the idea...and helped with some of the execution, doesn't mean I'm responsible for you trashing your parents house. Besides, you were only in there for like 3 days max before you got out," Keefe said, shrugging as if 3 days in jail was no biggie.
"Most peaceful 3 days of my life," Tam sneered, turning back to the front of the room as the professor walked in.
"Good morning class!" the prof turned to the white board, writing his name. "I am Dr. Harding," he tapped it for emphasis.
The class was silent.
"And you say good mor..."
"Good morning Dr. Harding," The class said in unison, they all sounded tired and bored.
This wasn't going to be fun.
~*~
"Grande ice vanilla latte for...Hen-are-y?"
The man shot Keefe a look as he grabbed his coffee.
"Henry." He dropped a tip in the jar, fifty cents. How generous.
He had come in before, and never left good tips. Keefe made it a game to pronounce the names of anyone who wasn't a college student and left bad tips wrong, no matter how much they came in. It was a wonder he hadn't been fired yet.
As he turned preparing another drink, the bell at the top of the door rang. He ignored it at first until he heard a quiet, "Fuck," come from behind.
"Bangs boy!"
"Why are you here?"
"I work here obviously," Keefe walked up to the counter. "Now, what'll it be?"
Tam sighed. "Iced caramel macchiato with two extra shots of espresso."
"Size?"
"Venti."
Keefe whistled thinking about how much caffeine that was as he wrote down "Bangs Boy" on the cup.
"Alright, that'll be 5.75, may I ask why the insane amount of coffee? I believe I remember you saying caffeine makes you anxious in high school."
"Yes, but it also helps me focus, and I have a quiz tomorrow I haven't studied for."
"Fair enough," Keefe said, going to prepare the drink. "It'll be ready in five."
Tam nodded, walking off to the side and scrolling on his phone. Keefe made the drink, occasionally sneaking looks over at Tam. He didn't seem to notice, thank God.
Soon after, they finished the transaction.
"See you at class," Keefe said, he was trying to be genuine, but it came across more taunting.
Tam grimaced, muttered "Thanks for the coffee," and walked out the door.
~*~
The class fell silent as a disheveled Dr. Harding walked in, a pack of gatorade in one hand and bottle of tylenol in the other. He popped one as he sat down.
"Hello class it seems today I have the worst headache imaginable, just give me about 5 minutes of silence and we will go over your assignments."
Keefe leaned over to Tam's desk.
"Well, we know what he got into last night," he whispered. "Heard the bar on the corner of 5th was giving out two for ones for professors."
"Isn't that place run by the alumni?"
"Exactly. Gotta thank Alvar tomorrow, Fitz said it was his idea."
"Wait Fitz goes here too? Why did I not-"
"Boys!" Dr. Harding practically yelled. "I am tired of the racket." He put his face in his hands where his elbows rested on the desk, bald spot showing to the world.
"We were whispering!" Keefe made a 'what the hell' sort of gesture. Tam glared at him, hoping he could communicate 'I will kill you myself if you say another word' with just his eyes.
"Sencen, do I look like I care?"
Keefe winced a bit at the use of his last name. That was something Tam could understand.
"Look, boys," Dr. Harding stood up and turned to the chalkboard, writing something down. "If you all like talking so much, you'll love this next project."
He walked to the side, revealing the board, that read '10 page essay, due the 25th'
"With the person next to you, you'll be writing a 10 page essay on um...the importance of keeping your oil changed in your car. You'll then present it to the class. It's worth 25 points."
A student raised their hand.
"Luka?"
"Sir, I thought this was a psychology course?"
"It is. You are all excused."
With that, he left the room with his tylenol and gatorade in his arms. The students glared at Keefe and Tam as they all got up, muttering amongst themselves about the pure bullshittery of it all.
"So..." Keefe said, slowly standing. "Does the library tomorrow at 3 work? I have work until then, so it can't be any earlier."
"Yeah, sure." Tam promptly walked out of the classroom as fast as possible, he didn't know why but his anxiety was spiking. He tried to tell himself it was just because he was a useless gay that didn't know jackshit about cars, yeah, surely that was it.
Just a useless gay.
~*~
Tam waited at a table in the library, it was 3:05, Keefe was late.
He didn't know what else he expected from him, he always seemed to do stuff like this. At the same time, Tam didn't have the energy to be particularly mad at him. This was going to be the stupidest essay ever written in the history of man, might as well put it off.
The library door slammed open, and in came Keefe. He balanced a large stack of papers and books along with four drinks. He stumbled over to Tam and practically threw them down on the table.
"Sorry I'm late, I thought it would be nice to, like, get you a coffee, but I didn't know how much caffeine you wanted, so I got one decaf caramel macchiato, one normal, and one with an extra shot, and also hot chocolate for me."
He sat down in the chair by Tam, as if getting three different coffees for someone you were forced to do a project with was totally normal.
"Um...thanks, I-I can pay you back-"
"Don't worry about it." Keefe turned to him and smiled, bright and friendly. Tam was frozen. "Okay, now it's car time." Keefe turned back to the desk.
"Yeah."
They were silent for a while as they researched, Keefe going through his piles of papers and books and Tam on his laptop like any sane person would.
Tam finally worked up the nerve to talk.
"So um...this is out of nowhere, but I think you mentioned Fitz went here?"
"Oh, yeah." Keefe put down the absurdly large textbook that was set up in front of him. "He's my roommate, he uh thought it would be best not to tell you after everything, I guess."
"That's fine," Tam shrugged like he didn't care. "I'm over it."
He was, really. They only dated like 2 weeks, sure it ended with a...pretty big fight after Fitz claimed he wouldn't be able to date someone who had gone to jail and Tam reminded him it was his best friend that got him in there in the first place, but he was still over it. There was still something bothering him, nothing to do with Fitz himself but...something. He just couldn't put his finger on what.
"Alright, I'll take your word." Keefe shrugged, setting his giant book back up in front of him.
Tam felt the need to start talking again, but didn't. They were mostly silent for the next 40 minutes or so, just researching and the occasional word exchanged between them.
Keefe checked his phone.
"Shit," He got up. "Work emergency, I gotta go. Same time tomorrow?"
"Yeah that works."
"Chill, see ya' later."
"Bye."
Keefe waved (with a wide grin Tam would've called idiotic in high school) as he went out the door.
Tam found himself with a smile on his own face, he quickly stopped, hoping no one saw.
~*~
Keefe hurried into work, pulling his apron on as he saw the absurdly long line and a panicked Marella frantically making coffees behind the counter. She sighed with relief when she saw him.
"Thank God," She said as he stepped behind the counter with her. "There was a scheduling error, Forkle's useless at that stuff."
Mr. Forkle, their well-meaning but often mistaken manager, was out of town at the moment. The fate of the Starbucks rested on two college kids, what could go wrong.
And so they went, Keefe taking orders and Marella fulfilling them until there were no more to serve.
Marella, quite literally, threw in a towel she had wiped her face with. Promptly going to the back, presumably for her break. Keefe followed her.
"Alright, I think you can probably go back to whatever you were doing before this now if you'd like," said Marella, inspecting the small braids in her hair in the nearest shiny surface.
"Nah I was just doing a project with Tam for Harding's stupid class, he's probably left by now, I might as well rack up some overtime."
Marella turned back at him, clearly caught off guard at the name.
"Tam? As in my-girlfriend's-brother Tam? As in you-had-a-massive-crush-on-in-highschool Tam? As in dated-Fitz Tam? As in you-got-him-in-jail-"
"Yes! Yes! Why does everyone remind me of that, it was one time."
"When you get someone in jail, people tend to remember," Marella went silent for a second, thinking, before looking Keefe in the eye. "Wow, that must be awkward as hell, I mean seriously, if I were you I'd straight up file a restraining order just to avoid him. Maybe move to another country. I hear Estonia is lovely this time of year."
"Eh, it's not as bad as it seems. I mean it was awful at first, mostly because I tried to resume right where we left it on the taunting front, but I think it's ok now."
"Hm. Well good luck with that," Marella turned back to go to the front, but Keefe grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Uh, actually I need your advice on something. It has to do with Tam."
"Shoot."
"Well I was thinking of maybe, I don't know, asking him out or something? Look, yeah, it's an awful idea but is it 'he never wants to talk to me again' awful or 'he attempts to strangle me' awful?"
Marella looked him up and down, eyes uncomfortably cold, as usual.
"I mean, no hetero, but despite your annoying qualities you're a decent looking guy. Plus Tam's, like, super anxious according to Linh, so maybe he'll be too awkward to say no. You can probably squeeze at least one date in there."
"Wow, thanks Mare," Keefe mumbled, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Yes, I try. Also don't call me Mare."
"Alright Ella!" Keefe called as the front door's bell rang, signalling a new customer. Marella went off to take care of it, unable to respond she growled back at him.
~*~
Tap tap tap tap tap.
Tam glared from across the table.
Tap tap tap tap tap tap.
"Why do you keep doing that?"
Keefe looked up, muttered a simple "Fidgety" and went right back to it, tapping his pen against the table. Tam said nothing more.
Keefe had been quiet for this entire meeting, something highly unusual for him.
"Ok, seriously dude, what's up? I haven't seen you this quiet literally ever."
He only seemed to get more fidgety at this question, his bouncing leg shaking the library table.
"I...um..." he looked down, running a hand through his hair "I have a test I need to cram for and no one to study with and keep me accountable. Y'know, ADHD issues."
Tam didn't overthink for once in his life but the moment the sentence was out of his mouth he regretted it.
"I have a test too, maybe we could study together?"
Keefe smiled his annoyingly charming smile.
"Sounds good."
"Good."
Tam quickly looked back down at his computer, trying to look like he was still doing car research when in actuality he was processing he just actively offered to spend more time with Keefe Sencen.
If Linh found out about this he'd never live it down.
He didn't think he cared.
~*~
Dr. Harding walked through the classroom door, clearly much less hungover than his last appearance.
The students waited, would they get an apology? Any sort of remorse?
"Alright, who wants to read first?"
Apparently not.
Keefe raised his hand with too much confidence for what their essay looked like. Tam gave him a confused look. He had his scheming face on, never good.
"Mr. Sencen!" Keefe winced at the use of his last name by the doctor. "What an amazing start, it's only appropriate. One of you boys come up and present."
Tam gave Keefe a look of 'do you want me to do it?' Keefe just smiled and got up from his chair. This would either be really good or really, really bad. Tam was all too familiar with the scheme face.
"Doc, I did depart from the source material a bit here, hope you don't mind. And I use 'I' because Tam had no involvement in this, he deserves full points for his essay."
Keefe cleared his throat, the room was so silent you could hear a pin drop.
"Doctor Harding deserves to get fired: an essay. (And it's only been a week!) Paragraph one, his drinking problem-"
"Sencen! Back to your seat now. I will see you after class, or I will not see you in my next class, understand?"
Keefe gave a thumbs up as he sat back on his chair with a thud.
A few minutes later, in the middle of another student's essay, he passed Tam a note with his loopy handwriting.
"The amount of comebacks I had for 'see me after class' is absurd but if I get kicked out there's no way Elwin is helping me pay tuition a second time."
Tam tried not to smile, certainly failing, as he wrote his response.
"Yeah I think the time you talked back to Miss Cadence she wanted to expel you. Lucky Principal Alina had a thing for pseudo-dad Alden."
"Oh God I haven't talked to him in a whiiiiiile."
"?"
"You haven't heard? Yeah, he sorta found out like ALL his kids were ell gee bee tees and freaked out. Della found herself a new gf though!"
"Sounds like a lovely extra punch in the gut for a queerphobe."
"Yep. Honestly I recommend looking through his Facebook sometime. Just a million rants about how the gays destroy everything, great entertainment."
"Duly noted."
At that point it seemed like the doctor started to take notice of their note passing, and they stopped quickly. Tam wouldn't be surprised if he did the whole high school read in front of the class thing with the way he had been acting so far.
Tam was 100% sure tenure was the only thing keeping this guy's job intact. Apparently being a drunk asshole wasn't near enough to get a person out of their position. He tried to ignore the professor's annoyingly smug face for the rest of the class.
~*~
Keefe sat in his usual spot at the library, Tam sitting across from him, his brown eyes dancing across the textbook page and lips mumbling along the words. He didn't have much to do, often finding himself just staring at Tam, quickly looking away if he seemed to notice.
Eventually he sighed, sitting back.
"Ugh, this test is in a week and I have so much other crap to do, I'll never get this all memorized by Friday."
Keefe silently thanked his brain for managing to get around the having to study thing. Yay, photographic memory!
"Oh, uh, well I'm free to study more tomorrow if that would help? We could do, like, flashcards or something."
Tam seemed to repress a smile. He did that a lot. Keefe always noticed.
"That's okay, I'm sure you have better things to do. The Starbucks is always pretty packed."
"Eh, sometimes you have to get away from Marella. She's mean to me."
"Not just you, once she told me if I ever made fun of Linh's cat's name again she'd make me cut off my own bangs."
Keefe nodded sagely. "The shorter you are the closer to hell. That's why you're worse than her."
"Hey!"
Tam flicked a stray rubber band at Keefe.
"I'm at least 2 inches taller than Marella...we measured."
Keefe thought up about 12 inappropriate jokes he couldn't make before flicking the rubber band back.
"Two inches only counts in roller coasters, none of which you can ride."
Tam stuck his tongue out before returning to his studies. Unlike Tam, Keefe didn't hide his smile.
~*~
Tam strolled into the Starbucks that Friday morning, no longer surprised to see Keefe working the counter. He could barely hold still in line as he thought about the amount of cramming he'd have to do in the next few hours.
When he reached the counter, Keefe said nothing, just busily worked making a drink.
He stuck it right out at Tam.
"One venti iced caramel macchiato with 2 extra shots of espresso because you have a test today in political science and still haven't studied everything and also a muffin because you probably haven't eaten today. On the house. Good luck with the studying."
Tam froze.
"I- um- th-thaks. Y-you too...sport."
Oh, you fucking idiot.
He quickly scurried out of the Starbucks with drink and muffin in hand. Wow, he had screwed that up.
But...
Keefe...
He...
He remembered his order and that he had a test and that he forgot to eat when he was stressed holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit-
Okay, deep breaths Tam, you got this. You can totally handle a frustratingly cute guy showing care for you this is fine...
Not fine, not fine, gotta tell Linh.
He called Linh with no forewarning. Despite the fact that she was currently across the country at a different university, and it was about 3 am for her, she picked up. He barely let her get out a groggy "Hello?" before explaining everything. She only seemed to think a moment before responding.
"Hm. Well it's good to know that college is going good for you. Do you need advice or comfort?"
"Yes."
"Well, first of all, everything's gonna be okay. And I know that doesn't help much but just try to remember we're eighteen, and it's not the end of the world. Second of all, try to ask him out or something. It doesn't have to be framed as a date, like Marella and I got together on a walk in the park, seriously it can be anything."
"Thanks Linh."
"No problem, also can you hug Marella for me?"
"If she doesn't try to kill me first, yes."
"Nice. Okay go do what you gotta do, also don't wake me up at 3 am again or else I'll sic Purryfins on you, I had just gone to bed."
With that she hung up and Tam continued on his way, still trying to not completely freak out.
~*~
Keefe stared blankly as Tam walked right out of the door. Marella appeared by his arm.
"So, how'd it go?"
"Well, he called me 'sport'."
Marella inhaled through her teeth.
"Yikes. Comfort, advice, or distraction?"
"Distraction, please." Keefe replied, absent-mindedly preparing a cup for the next customer.
"Uh, well I meant to ask you what ended up happening with that ass of a teacher, but I got a bit distracted at your attempt to woo Tam-"
"Hey I said distraction not reminder. But basically I just got a slap on the wrist because, and I quote, 'Your father is Cassius Sencen! He wrote half the books we use in this class, I'm sure he can straighten you out!'"
"There's absolutely nothing papa Sencen could do to make you straight, I'm pretty sure he tried that, and it obviously didn't work."
"He actually tried a few times and it most definitely did not. Lucky he doesn't have my number anymore or else I assure you he'd keep trying."
Marella laughed.
"Well, moving on from grade A assholes, I'm supposed to tell you there's a party tonight. I'll have to send you the address later, I have it on my phone though, I am told there's gonna be booze, so I'm going."
"Eh, I'll probably go. Just to get my mind off everything."
"Thata boy." She lifted her phone. "And my shifts over in three, two, one, and I am out of here! See ya' tonight Hunkyhair."
"That's Lord Hunkyhair to you."
She just rolled her eyes and clocked out, leaving Keefe to deal with both the customers and his own thoughts.
~*~
Tam sat in his dorm room alone, constantly refreshing his grades for the possibility that his 70-year-old professor would post the test results at 1:30 am.
His roommate was gone for the weekend, actually he was gone most of the time. Tam didn't think they'd even had a full conversation before.
He jumped as his phone began to ring, a call from Keefe of all people. He hesitantly picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Tam! Tam Tam Tam Tam Tam" Keefe's slurred speech was too loud for a phone call, Tam held his phone a bit away from his ear. "...fuck wait why did I call you..."
There was a long pause, neither said anything.
"Oh yeah! I needed to tell you something...but uh I uhm I forgot what it was."
"Keefe, where are you?"
"At a paaaaaarty, well, actually just outside a party because it was hot in there, but now it's cold out here so uh yeah."
Tam sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Okay, send me the address, I'm coming to pick you up. Wait right there and don't move."
"Okie dokie."
Tam heard a thud sort of sound and the rustling of grass from the other line before Keefe hung up and soon after got a message of his location.
After 20 minutes of walking in the cold, Tam came up to what seemed to be a frat house with Keefe sitting on the lawn in criss-cross, patiently waiting in short sleeves and basketball shorts, way too little clothing for the weather. His ruddy face smiled as he saw Tam approach.
"Tam! I remembered what I was going to tell you." He stood up, face falling right after. "Oh no wait I forgot again. Ooh! You need a drink."
Keefe grabbed Tam's hand, pulling him towards the house. Tam stayed in place.
"Hey, let's get you home dude."
Keefe pouted.
"I don't wannaaaa."
He slouched down, pulling on Tam's arm like a child having a tantrum.
Tam pulled him back up to his feet.
"C'mon, if you go to your dorm without fuss I'll buy you ice cream tomorrow."
Keefe seemed much more ok with going along with Tam with the ice cream deal. He pulled off his own coat and placed it around the very drunk boy, he didn't complain.
Keefe began humming some annoying song from the early 2000s that was playing from the house earlier as they walked back in the direction of the dorms.
Suddenly, Tam remembered something.
Fitz was Keefe's roommate.
Shit.
"Hey uh do you think Fitz is at your dorm?"
Keefe nodded confidently.
"Yep! Said he was gon' study. Wouldn't come to the party because of his 'reputation' or whatever."
Around reputation he did exaggerated finger quotes, nearly knocking Tam's jacket off his shoulders.
"Hm...in that case let's go to my dorm, ok?"
Keefe shrugged, apparently willing to go along with most things in his current state. Thank goodness Linh had made Tam bring extra pillows and blankets to college, he could sleep on the floor and just hope Keefe didn't get sick on him in the night.
It was ridiculously hard to lead Keefe back to his dorm. He tried to pull down his pants halfway there and Tam almost had to carry him up the stairs but soon enough they got there. He sighed with relief as he led his inebriated friend into the room.
"Okay, you can stay here for the night. I'll sleep on the floor."
Keefe plopped himself down on Tam's bed laying flat for only a moment before sitting up with a snap and a look of realization in his eyes.
"OOH! I remember what I was gonna tell you again!"
"Oh?" Tam said playing along, expecting him to forget again.
He patted the spot next to him on the bed, Tam continued to play along, sitting next to him.
"So Marella said that I should just tell you this, and it worked for her, so I'm gonna. And uh and you have to promise to listen 'cause I'm not sayin' it again."
At this point Keefe grabbed his face with both hands, staring right in Tam's eyes and squishing his cheeks.
"You're listening right?"
Tam nodded, mostly to shake Keefe's hands off his face.
"Okay."
Keefe took in an over dramatic breath as if he was preparing to preform in the Olympics before getting another grin on his face.
"I really like you."
"You really like me?"
He nodded mumbling "mhm".
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I like you. Like, like like you."
"Like...as a friend?"
"I said I wasn't gonna repeat myself. As a booooyfriend." At this point Keefe fell back on the bed, looking at the ceiling. Tam's cheeks were burning.
"How long have you liked me like that?"
"Mmmm..." Keefe seemed to ponder for a moment, "Prolly high school."
"Oh um...good to know. You should get some rest. I'll be down here if you need me."
"Alrighty."
Tam shut off the lights and Keefe started snoring quick. Tam could only stare up in the darkness, unable to sleep.
~*~
Keefe woke up that morning in a room he didn't recognize to a killer headache and dead phone.
He turned to the side, seeing a pile of blankets and pillows with a large gatorade, bottle of tylenol, and a note next to it. Suddenly last nights memories came flooding back.
Oh, shit.
He scrambled out of bed, headache and nausea hitting him harder as he stood up.
Despite the fact his head was spinning, he picked up the note from the ground and read it.
Hey, meet me at the reservoir around 6, we need to talk -Tam
F. U. C. K.
Had he really said all that stuff last night? Surely it was a dream, right?
Oh God.
He gathered his few belongings, plus the things to help the hangover, and left the dorms as fast as possible. Only having to stop once along the way to throw up in one of the campus trash cans, hopefully no one would notice.
Keefe didn't have anything to do and he really didn't want to face Fitz so he went about his day in last nights clothing. Then again, it was a college campus. Someone walking around with rumpled clothes carrying a gatorade probably wasn't that big of a deal for most people. By 5:30 he sat impatiently in the empty park where the reservoir was located, it was colder closer to the water.
Just as promised, at 6 o'clock he saw Tam approaching on the horizon.
~*~
Tam was damn near a panic attack as he walked around the park attempting to find Keefe. Eventually he found him, sitting on a bench still in his clothes from last night, face once again ruddy from the cold. He sat next to him wordlessly.
"So," Keefe started.
"So," Tam replied, looking down at his lap.
"Tam I-" Keefe turned to face him. "I'm sorry about everything last night, I probably just made everything super awkward. Not to mention it's a giant violation of the friend code to even have a crush on your best friend's ex-"
"Yeah, about that."
"What?"
"You're gonna maybe kill me for this but uh," Tam pulled on his bangs. "I sorta talked to Fitz about it, I figured you wouldn't and apparently I was right. He said he was okay with it as long as we were ok with it."
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?"
Tam sighed, "Perhaps."
Keefe once again wore that shit-eating grin of his.
"Can I hear you say it?"
"Why don't you have to say it?"
"Already said it last night! Your turn now. Why did you take care of me while I was drunk?"
Keefe stared at Tam excitedly waiting for the answer. Tam sighed.
"Because I love you, little shit."
"Ooh you said it-"
Tam smashed his lips against Keefe's, both quickly melting into it. After only a moment they pulled away.
"Agh, you taste like gatorade and vomit."
"Well you taste like salt so really what's worse."
"Definitely the vomit."
Despite this, Tam leaned back in. This kiss was a moment longer than the last, and when Tam pulled away Keefe chased it.
"Ok, look I'm sorry but you look like shit Keefe you have to go change." Tam removed his jacket, throwing it around Keefe once again and helping him up from the bench. Keefe laughed.
"Yeah, you're right. Ooh now that we're a thing you need a new nickname!"
"I do?"
"You do, how about 'Bangs Boyf' ooh or maybe you can be my 'provoked partner' or my 'snappy spouse' my 'agitated accomplice' perhaps."
"Do you just have these ready and prepared for any situation?"
"A magician never reveals his secrets."
"You aren't Houdini, you're an 18-year-old boy that currently reeks of frat party."
"Eh that's basically the same thing. I've seen some 18-year-olds at frat parties preform tricks Houdini could never dream of."
Tam sighed dramatically. "It's a good thing you're pretty, you know."
"Hey!" Keefe jokingly shoved him.
For the first time Tam's smile wasn't repressed.

i'm already hooked on your dark academia au, especially after this recent post about touya. just those details are making this version one of my top favorites on your takes on his character. any additional headcanons on dark academia tomura or keigo? obviously totally okay if not! i'm just in love with this au already, your brain is so big and beautiful, clari!
ARE YOU ehehehehehe aw that makes me happy to hear!! oh my gosh wow, ahaha well thank you! YES let’s get into them under the cut!!
prof keigo
✰ literally everyone’s favourite prof on campus, and everyone either wants him or wants to BE him. it’s extremely difficult to get a spot in any of his lectures—they fill up ridiculously quickly
✰ he’s actually a fantastic professor with a passion for teaching and, despite how scummy he is underneath it all, is committed to genuinely educating his students and hopes for all of them to succeed!! he does actually care for them, you know—those extended office hours aren’t just for the pretty girls playing dumb to get a few extra minutes alone with him, they really are to help students who actually need help, too.
✰ ^^ these students absolutely cannot stand the girls who come to office hours just to twirl their hair and bat their eyelashes and giggle about how funny he is. he knows this, too, and is always sure to extend his office hours for as long as he needs to until he works through all of the students waiting outside his door, even if it cuts into his own research time. he’s fair, after all. he is a teacher first, and a corrupting playboy second
✰ has an award-winning smile that you just can’t resist smiling back, and it always warms your insides when he shoots one your way
✰ always wears thick-framed black glasses, either slipping down the bridge of his nose or behind his ears, pushing back that wild golden hair of his, and always comes to class with coffee from either 1. some hipster cafe or 2. some absurdly expensive european cafe
✰ he’s the youngest member of the university faculty by far, but is already making a name for himself in his field, publishing incredible papers as well as holding additional lectures. most of his colleagues like him and are in respectful awe of him, but there are a few that are jealous, of course
✰ is a little technology challenged and often has several students jumping up at the opportunity to help him getting his keynote working, again. it’s okay, though, it just adds to his charm <3
tenko
✰ believe it or not, he actually comes to class meticulously prepared and takes the most beautiful notes—he’s super organized in all aspects of his life!! seeing touya come to class so carelessly irks him beyond belief
✰ his handwriting is tiny and neat, for the most part, unless he’s writing very quickly; then it becomes a little sloppier
✰ he doesn’t bring a laptop to class, even though it’s more efficient to take notes on, because he gets distracted and ends up coding, working on whatever new game he’s begun creating or, worse, playing a game
✰ absolutely thinks he’s better than every single person in every single one of his classes and, as a result, has next to no friends. he doesn’t mind, though. he likes being alone, and claims that he would never want the company of those other students anyway
✰ hates his major but is finishing his undergrad just so his father will shut the fuck up and not pull his inheritance from him. his father knows this, too, but really just wants tenko to fill his time with something other than video games. he is secretly hoping that throughout his undergrad his son will ‘grow up’ a little and find a new, more sophisticated passion, but he knows that it’s next to impossible
✰ on the other hand, tenko hopes that his father will eventually give into his incessant whining and complaining and allow him to switch to a computer science major. he’s very skilled in breaking his father down and getting what he wants, so he assumes it’s just a matter of time
✰ tenko’s a streamer + programmer online with a decent following, though he uses a pseudonym and refuses to show his face. still, he knows it’ll be great for when he finally releases his own game
✰ chews on his pens. like, BAD.
✰ is incredibly intelligent—not to touya’s level, of course, tenko actually has to put in a teeny tiny bit of effort to his assignments and studying. and this BOTHERS him, because touya’s such a jackass and why does he get to have it so easy??? it isn’t fair!!
✰ he loves to read, and often brings a book or two to class with him to read on break. if you manage to somehow strike up a conversation with him and talk about either 1. gaming/programming or 2. the fantasy/sci-fi book he’s currently reading, his face will absolutely light up and he’ll become much more animated than usual. touya thinks it’s so childish, and spends his time reading ‘great literature and philosophy’ to ‘better himself’, but tenko isn’t concerned with anything like that. he reads for fun, and as an escape <3
