Genuine question as I am curious — I know it’s pretty obvious with his expressions/ body language that Daniel seemed shy/insecure(?) about having his braces, but has he ever outright said anything about feeling that way with them? Just out of curiosity as I am new around here!

Damian knew his sculptures were amazing. He threw himself into sculpting as much as he threw himself into being Robin. He could never not give himself fully into his sculptures. 

Lately, though, he doesn’t know how to explain to his family the latest subject of his sculptures. He’s not even sure he knows himself. It feels like a distant dream, a memory he can’t remember. Sculpting the same boy over and over again. The face is never quite right, but he knows he knows this person. Somehow.

anyone have any fic that has the same vibes as ‘Survival Is A Talent’ by ShanaStoryteller on ao3?? i keep obsessively rereading it and i’m yet to find anythinggg with similar characterisations and vibes. like draco and harry relationship?? the golden trios relationship?? slow burn romione?? the who gangs vibes?? the WORLDBUILDING??? completely unparalleled but i’m about to finish my reread and i don’t know what to do to shop myself from going into a depressive spiral.

If the first season was about Jayce getting pulled every which way by his allegiances to those closest to him, then next season will be about Viktor doubling down on his isolation and refusing to listen to outside opinions. Viktor's already on the path for that. Viktor would have never gotten as far as he did in a society that's as hostile to Zaunites and the disabled as Piltover is if he didn't refuse to listen to the opinion of others. It's largely been in his best interest to disregard avoidable rules and social conventions because they otherwise barred him from not just advancing in society but participating in it in general.

But now this defense mechanism will only serve to further push him from others as he crosses morelines. Sure Viktor will be able to do some good with the hexcore and even gain followers, but a cult isn't a reliable source of criticism, it's an echo chamber to reinforce your beliefs. Viktor's true resolution will be allowing someone, maybe more than one, to tell him to pull back and he actually listens.

Tldr: Mr. "If you want to change the world, don't ask for permission", needs to learn life is a team project and nothings wrong with a little peer review.

have been thinking about professor sol even. professor bufo with no clearly discernable lesson plan. sol bufo ostensibly martial arts professor who spent two weeks running a yoga and meditation program and shows up to the next class with crochet hooks for everyone. professor bufo who is technically supposed to be assigning grades to students but hasnt given anyone less than an A because "i think they worked really hard and they did a great job :)" (referring to the ugliest and most malformed pot holder anyone has laid eyes upon in their life). professor bufo who is on his way to cluelessly kickstart the sexual awakening of about half the cohort of the academys new students. sol bufo adjunct professor who is gone half the year and his first class back is so immediately and easily baited into going into a long tangent about how cool his friends are. sol who is pretty sure hes easily the most useless professor on campus and almost cries when he sees his little desk overflowing with thank you notes at the end of the year. professor bufo absolutely fucking gloriously hot in the tightest little sweater vest because there were faculty complaints when he wore a crop top to class.

I finally finished binding Survival is a Talent Volume 1 (covers books 2-4). I started this back in 2021 and just never put the cover together till now.

I love this fic and all the wonderful fanart that I was able to include in the bound book. I even found marigold and iris paper to use for the outside and inside covers :)

I can't wait to do volume 2 (which will basically just be the chapters that cover order of the phoneix) and eventually volume 3 (and probably 4) whenever @shanastoryteller finishes writing the series!
