i have a love-hate relationship with the designs of the Seasons quartet, so I decided to redesign them put my own spin on it!

if i'll be honest, spring and autumn are mostly fine (i particularly adore autumn's hairstyle and her grapes motif), and winter is.. ok.. but summer?! i'll be super honest here and say her design was so confusing initially that i neglected to build her kit. just.. yikers.

not to say i don't understand what LAM was going for—each of the 4 are tied together as a cohesive set through elements like their black ruffled collars, red tips of their hair, and skirts with flower petticoats, and yet each of them vary slightly in these aspects which clearly shows they're all united as seasons yet have very different personalities. i wanted to honor that, so in my own tweaks of their collars i thought about all giving summer and winter scarves instead.

(here are annotated pictures of both summer and winters' sprites for reference btw)

..so yeah. if i ever try to expand on this, another thing i would probably heavily edit is the white "panels" of their hair. again, it's another element that makes a lot of logical sense in terms of character design, but doesn't work super great imo. maybe after trying to tweak it i may change my mind, who knows

I draw most stuff on impulse and saw a Liszt fanart (it's his bday today (22 oct) I think) and it spiraled into classicaloid nostalgia, here it is, my fave irl and in anime my dude Chopin 🙏

Favorite absolute loser in the anime, uses vocaloids in his songs/musik, never touching grass or seeing the sunlight, spirals in a social anxiety attack and summons towers of cardboard to protect himself on his first introduction to the show. Surprisingly one of the only composers that actually pays the rent in the house...

(so close to put on the "erm" glasses on and yap abt that vocaloid song used in guardians of the galaxy 3 and how it's actually a classicaloid ost originally and other stuff related that ticked me off hhhgsrehh)

I look up to so many artists of all kinds and eras it is INSANE. I'll list the modern ones now that have influenced my current work :) They won't be in order though!

1 - Ishida Sui

Ishida Sui has been one of my favourite and most influential artists of all time for so many years. After reading Tokyo Ghoul and seeing how gorgeous his works are, I just fell in love. His work is something I aspire to get mine to be like.

There's just something so ethereal and unique about his paintings and they're always so pleasing to look at! The more times I look at it, the more details I seem to spot.

2 - Adachitoka

Adachitoka are a pair of amazing and influential artists for me too and their style has clearly influenced mine hahaha! I love how they do everything traditionally and the way that the illustrations are coloured gives it a beautiful, nostalgic look.

There's detail in every part of their characters and the lines are always so crisp and clean!! They deserve so much more love honestly. Picking up Noragami has changed my own art for the best.

3 - Rella (source)

I have been a huge, HUGE fan of Rella for as long as I can remember. Their works have been a huge part of the Vocaloid community and they never cease to inspire me with their illustrations. The way they do dramatic lighting and utilise colours is just mouthwatering and it's something I want to be able to do for my own stuff one day. Every drawing they do is eye-candy and full of details.

4 - Rolua (source)

I came across Rolua a couple of years ago when he did an illustration for Giga's MV ('Ready Steady'). I found his work really eye-catching and when he began to exaggerate the characters' movements and expressions in his drawings, I was sucked in. His work is very unique and the way he utilises colours, dynamics and everything is brilliant!

5 - LAM

Originally, I came across their work on the MV "Gimmie Gimmie" and then again in the Takt. Op: Destiny anime! When I think of character design, I think of LAM because the way they draw characters is honestly breathtaking. The colours, the styles, the dresses, it's all so brilliant!

it's kinda random but im into arts! i love to draw (digital draws), i usually make a fanart or just some random drawing (THO IM NOT RLY GOOD AT IT). also if im in the right mood i'll write too. i play games like RPG e.g. Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, Takt Op. Symphony, etc.
