Final Update

Kab posted her final update and while that explains everything, a lot of people have been talking about one particular out of context screencap about how Tamarack with male MCs. That's fine; I'm not going to judge anyone for being hurt by that, but I'm going to lay the truth out for everyone.

That was me venting as a closeted bisexual and using a joke with my friends to further cement it was also not that serious. I am bisexual, my friends know this. The leakers knew this and knew that if they posted this, the only way to truly refute that screenshot was by being outed as a bisexual to everyone.

Before anyone asks about my icon: the icon has been there for years, and I hadn't had time to find a suitable change. This change in sexuality was also recent, and by the timestamp in that screencap, it was extremely recent.

I don't own anyone a constant update on my sexuality. I have the right to come out on my own terms, and I'm doing this on my own terms. A little earlier than I wanted (mainly because I wanted an icon to commemorate), but I'm comfortable with my bisexuality enough that I can write this post.

So what now?

I am leaving this community. I have now shelfed multiple projects; from zines to merch to even participating in weekly events. All works of art featuring any Our Life characters that aren't for commission will be put on hold indefinitely.

While everyone was making posts about the situation, I was getting slammed with both anonymous and non anonymous asks. The asks ranged from misgendering me, to saying I'm not transgender and that I'm a woman, to racial slurs (because of course there was). While there have been people who have been supportive in my asks, the hate was overwhelming.

It threatened everything for me: my safety, my privacy, my reputation, my digital footprint, my livelihood, and, more importantly, my peace of mind.

This fandom has been kind to me; it's the sole reason I was able to afford to go to college to finish my degree and rebuy furniture after I lost my house in a fire.

But why should I continue to make art and pour funds into merch for a community that told me that I'm faking my transness? That I'm faking my blackness and my latine heritage?

The same leakers who have leaked my private information were people who paid for my commission services, my merchandise. They wanted our MCs to interact. They wanted me to draw their MCs interacting with mine. They even used my art for stickers in their private server.

I could go on but tell me earnestly: why should I continue creating just for people to consume it while they can have fun running my name, my identity through the mud so frivolously without any thought?

There's a larger conversation about black exploitation to be had, especially when it comes to fandom involvement and how the nonblack populus will appropriate memes and art from black culture while disrespecting the black creators that made them but respectfully, I'm very fucking tired.

What an unexpected joke drawing for myself and friends with Touhou Project discussion. I did it for fun and some experimental brushes. Patchouli is my favorite of all Touhou's characters, she's really cute and I love her nightgown, librarian woman. Say, when you go the assets website to download, you saw really cool brushes & sets. You used it once and never picked up it up again. Well, it's time to go back with studies and use of old tools! I have to say; after I've bought CSP V3 stock version to upgrade, I'm pleased with all updates to use some convenient tools. I'm hoping that V4 update to consider facial expressions for 3d heads. My point is that, you've bought CSP's new version to make purpose out of it. You used it once that's already served. It is okay to not used it again, and perhaps if you want inconsistent painting just for fun, you do it for bored and pick it up. Nothing is wrong to stray away your artstyle as long as you're experiencing the studying niche tools, it's great to take a break from your main projects.  That's all I'm talking about, please enjoy my doodling artwork and share your friends. I may not able to do this again but I promise, if I get burned out or curious to do something else; I'll make a funny drawings out of it. Happy Spring!

anyway! its been a good while since ive made an update post, and i want to keep y'all up to date with how things are going!

important thing to announce; act one has been completed!

me and @mewhoismyself have worked very hard to write and edit the work respectively, and its over 100k+ words! hope y'all enjoy what we have planned, im very proud of act one (in particular those final few chapters, i love rereading them) <33

as for act two, im taking a break to do other things (college mainly, but also commission work and personal hobbies) but im probably getting back to writing soon! currently, act two is on chapter three, as ive decided to rewrite chapters 2-7 in the original doc, so theres a LOT of cut content. all for a good story! i dont really mind it :0c

finally, im opening up betas again!

theres been a LOT of inactivity from most of them and i have a bit of a schedule to keep, so im hoping that a new wave of betas could help with providing feedback and whatnot. i need clear communication! betas help greatly in letting me know how they feel with the current flow, their thoughts, and anything i need to address before publishing the chapter. id hope to get some new folk on board before my friend and i start developing act two more! <3

Hi again. If you've been around a while you're probably going to be like "Em, again??" But guess who got sick for the 6th time this year and this time it was a full on chest infection!! It has been three weeks, and somehow I am still Not Free!!

Anyway, BA fell to the wayside this month because it was Velox Fabula time and I've yet to miss a Velox jam (also...chest infection). I also needed to get my sudden and newfound Pirates of the Caribbean obsession out of the way so! I made a short pirate visual novel for the jam and I'm normal again. I also released the prologue of my side IF To Taste Sweet Silver (@sweetsilver-if) just to have it out. Feel free to check it out if you want, but it likely won't be updated for a while as I'm shifting gears back to BA for September!

I don't have much to report but:

UI update should be out in the next week or two depending on how I'm feeling. It won't look like much to y'all since it's more for my sake via cleaning up the code LOL but there were things added (friendship indicators, open dyslexic font option, character page updated, stat page updated, glossary page added) I'm not a graphic designer but it's better organized I think. There won't be an Official Post about it because it isn't new content, but I will make a small announcement when it's out. It'll also include the originally deleted Lars/Zoe/Nevio lunch scene in Chapter 2 as well. Sorry this is taking so long, I just really struggle with the coding side of things which has made the process slow.

Writing in August was also slow, and honestly, I think I really needed those few weeks off not thinking about BA. My inbox being very quiet helped as well, so I really did take a real break from BA. When I opened up the writing doc, I felt a whole lot better about working on BA again, and we have hit 100k words finally!

Anyway, I don't want to lament much, but I did have a personal goal of releasing up to Chapter 4 this year which obviously is Not Going to Happen. It honestly sucks I got sick so often this year because it cut into so much time for creative projects, be it BA or anything else.

I'm not really going to be hard on myself for it, though. I think releasing 3 chapters this year considering everything that kept Going Wrong this year is actually pretty good. I just think its annoying when I know I could have done it but the universe said no instead akfjalfa Anyway, I'm not sure when Chapter 3 will release but I do have a good feeling about September and I think I'll be able to at least get a decent chunk done this month!

Finally, September marks the one year anniversary for this blog and October marks the one year anniversary of BA releasing!! I feel like I literally just started writing this, the fact it's September already is wild.

I was going to do art commissions, but due to surprise car issues, I don't really have the money for that now (next year for sure though!!), so I was thinking of maybe doing character Q&As to celebrate? I've also seen some authors do raffles, but I'm not entirely sure what I would raffle off? Maybe personalized short stories with readers MCs if there's interest in that? I'm not sure yet, but I have a month to figure it out lol

But also thank you to everyone who has followed along!! It's been a really fun time both writing BA and on the blog. I know I say this a lot, but I'm really glad this is such a chill place. It's nice for me the author obviously, but it's also nice because I always want the spaces I have to feel like safe places for others as well so! Thanks again!

Lastly, I normally would end on a little snippet or preview but since most of what I wrote was just the two different openings, I feel like I have nothing fun to tease (or maybe I'm too picky about snippets idk). Hopefully Zoe's bday post tomorrow makes up for it, and I'll post some snippets later in the month instead!

If you ask me to draw anything in a form of a request (but also applies to trades or even commissions in a way)

I am not obligated to do it. If I do decide to do so, it's because I have the time, strengths, and will I am kind enough to do it for you. I do not. Owe you. Shit.

If I say I'll be willing to do something before discussing the details, I am 100% free to just say no if the thing you want is not something I am comfortable with.

And I do not need to give an explanation why. Most of the time I'll just go silent about it. Because I am not good with serious talk, I don't like it, I am awkward, social anxiety etc. And because I also want to try and be kind.

So if I ghost you after such a thing. You may text me again. Once. To make sure I didn't just forget, it happens. If I still go silent, that means it's not happening. Give up.

Weird shit includes oversexualizing characters or putting them in weird scenarios.

Sure, I do some questionable shit, but I don't usually go outside of suggestive or just thirst traps if I feel like it. I don't do explicit NSFW. (in a sexual sense, I use curse words and enjoy some heavy gore quite often, but those are not the focus of this.)

Or weird kinks or somethin'. No kink shaming. Just don't ask me to make shit I don't like. I think it's that simple. If You're aware, what you are going to ask for is questionable - make sure the artist you're asking is ok with that - and if you won't find anything about it - don't. At the very least, ask about their boundaries. Don't just slap them with that.

I legit am traumatized by some shit some people asked me to do. And I am not easy to get a reaction from.

It's ok to ask me for stuff I've done already - take for the example the 'Solar's hips' joke I have going on. Some people would probably consider it weird in some way, but it's just harmless simping and poking fun at a character that canonically has been called out for being a twink

It's a small gag I have going on with some people I know on Tumblr

if I was uncomfortable with it, I would not take it as far as I did. I think it's funny, and I do enjoy drawing that candy corn, so it's win-win for everyone.

This also comes down to me drawing characters suggestively only if I myself find them attractive in some shape, way or form. I find it funny or there's other context behind it.

Even if it's a character I like, not always will I do that to them.

I can draw shit out of Shadow, but I will not touch Tails with that. I love both of these characters, but I see them very differently. Also, Tails is literally like 8yo, but that's a completely different discussion.

When it comes to commissions - yes. You pay me to do something for you. But because of that factor - I am willing to do more and get more out of my comfort zone than if I was doing it for no profit. (still not NSFW. I mean, more character design or somethin') And the thing is discussed before payment. I will not agree to it if it makes me feel in any way I do not enjoy.

This issue appeared only on DeviantArt, thus far, and I am really happy Tumblr doesn't put me though that too. (update: I actually got one kinda weird ask there once, but it was more of a cursed thought, a laugh and that's about it)

if I ever get anything like that again and don't break my arm while trying to break the monitor, I'll just be deleting everything that person said and if they keep on pushing, I'll just block. I don't usually block people, but I am kinda tired at this point.

WHOLESOME THOUGHTS WITH SHIGGY!

I've been looking back at my old fics and headcanons and mu god has my writing style and interests changed. So I've decided to make an updated HORNY THOUGHTS WITH SHIGGY!!!! Tbh most of them are gonna be wholesome <3 Bakugou has been on my mind A LOT lately so we're gonna start with him!!

Wholesome headcanons

I feel like sometimes when he gets home from patrol he is either a cuddle bug or doesn't want to be touched at all. Being a pro hero puts a lot of strain on the body! So when he comes home more emotionally exhausted sometimes he likes being cuddled and being taken care of. However when he comes home from a patrol that was particularly cruel on his muscles he prefers to just kinda lay there and not be touched.

I love two ideas. Bakugou either not being to handle his liquor at all OR being able to take shot after shot and not feel a thing but hate the taste and doesn't like to drink very often because of it. Like he'll go party with you and friends but he usually won't drink unless it's a special occasion. For the light weight version he would take shot for shot with you on a holiday (New years, Birthday, etc) and after the second shot he's fuckinf gone. Like he's there but snaps back into reality every 5 secs but he just looks so cute with the blush from the heat of the alcohol under his skin. Or on the heavy weight side he would also take shot for shot with you only getting tipsy as you reach your limit. Let's say around 5 shots for fun. He says to you "I'm glad you're done cause that tastes like shit." He just hates the alcohol taste.

I'm not a huge fan of baths. Like I hate them. So in this headcanon Bakugou would instead take showers with you rather than baths. Or if you wanted company while taking a shower but he didn't want to go in he would just sit on the counter and talk to you, read a book or scroll through his phone possibly looking for new recipes. And I course you would do the same thing for him!!

If you were an artist of any sort (I'm an art major give me a break) he would absolutely adore the home made gifts you'd make him. When you guys eventually move into your first place together he would hang up the gifts you gave him in his office or around the living areas. When guests came over and complimented the piece he would always subtly brag that you painted it and he can only have the best art pieces in his home because he has the best artist in the world living with him and making him custom peices. Also if he ever did a charity event and needed like a design or logo he would come to you either asking advice or commission you to do it. Fuck asking for it for free, even though you'd tell him you'd do it free of charge since you're dating and it's charity. But he INSISTS on paying you because you deserve it for all the hard work, love and care you put into it.

He would give you the aux in the car everytime. He knows you usually ask everytime if he has any requests and just queues them in between songs you like so it works out fine for him. You're happy he's happy, nothing to complain about.

However you met (preferably outside of UA) he would find it pretty important that early on in the relationship that he introduces you to his friends (kiri, mina, denki, and sero) just so he can see how you would fair around them. I mean he's around them 24/7 practically so it's important you get along. They are like family to him so it's also important they approve of you, even though he says he doesn't give a shit about their approval.

He secretly loves when you feel up his muscles. It just makes him feel good. He also likes when you rub his back with your nails. It just feels so nice, especially after a day of training and or patrol. It's the perfect relaxer. I feel he would also like it if you rubbed his temples gently when he laid his head in your lap. It could honeslty soothe him right to sleep.

Not so wholesome headcanons (18+ MDNI)

Biting? Check. Choking? Check. An occasional creampie? ...Check. Sorry just had to check off some of the kinks I think Bakugou would indulge in and fantasize about.

Bakugou is a pretty aggressive guy. Some might even say he's a bit mean sometimes. Cruel even. Never to you though. He can get very possessive though. The way he questions when anyone other than his friends and family talk about you. The arm around you at all times in public. The marks that litter your skin underneath your clothing. Oh yeah, he likes to mark you. He swears it's all for your pleasure, I mean you do love the occasional hickey and the way it feels when he bites and sucks on your skin. But it is a bit much when they cover almost all of the entirety of your body. Of course only the parts he can see and possibly sometimes a few on your neck when he's really worked up.

If he decided to do a little quicky in a semi public place he would most definetely let you bite down on his shoulder. Which I feel would be a rarity just cause he'd rather not deal with the possible repercussions of getting caught. He doesnt mind the pain. Like at all. Actually it helps him get off a little bit. It gives him just the right amount of pain and pleasure to get him going absolutely feral.

Some of his fav positions include: normal cowgirl aka riding him into oblivion, reverse cowgirl aka riding him into oblivion just with more ass, doggy, missionary, mating press, you riding his face. The list could go on.

hey everyone ! this is a big update that I've been trying to properly put together for a minute. between the holidays, IRL work, general life management, etc - I simply have not been here. I've always been slow, but my presence here has basically been non-existent and I apologize for that.

TL;DR commissions will be closed and no new work will be accepted for at minimum two to three weeks, if not longer! I'm transitioning commissions to being a side-gig as opposed to my full time job, and it's been tougher than I expected. I appreciate everyone bearing with me! under the cut is a good old genuine word-vomit processing a lot of big feelings I've had the last month and a more in depth explanation of my current situation!

I appreciate everyone who has commissioned me over the years and that continues to do so! I'm excited to continue to create for you guys in the future, with a healthier work mindset and schedule! all is well, I'm happy and starting to do well, and happy holidays to everyone!

(this paragraph is solely me gushing about my job, I could do it for hours.) I really love my IRL job. (I've posted it before, but to those who hadn't seen, I work in a movie theater now!) this is genuinely something I can see becoming a full fledged career for me and I didn't expect that. I have so much fun, I leave work feeling fulfilled and appreciated, and I've become close with practically every member of our staff. my identity as a trans man is respected as well. I'm also already having more opportunities within the company being offered to me, and I want to put the proper energy into it.

that is why I've been taking time to rest when I can and not push myself to be here online if I'm not physically or mentally in the right mindset to create, or putting a time limit on myself to do so. my anxiety surrounding my finances is something I've struggled with for years. going into a paid, consistent position has been eye-opening and so healthy for me. I never thought I'd be able to accomplish that (I certainly wasn't fit to in the past) and I'm genuinely very proud of myself and happy.

I've revolved everything in life around commissions in previous years, and not always in the healthiest way. I've taken the last few weeks to re-evaluate my feelings and expectations that I and I alone put on myself to be here. my life has changed a lot this year. truly from the lowest of low, to a place that is happy and warm. it feels appropriate to be going into the new year with taking a new outlook on life and work in general.

while I won't be stopping commissions any time soon, as I said above, I've been struggling to break out of the mindset of this being my sole full time job that I rely on and transitioning it into more of a side job for me. so to start with making healthier strides here, I am not going to be accepting commissions at least for the next two to three weeks at minimum. I'm going to solely focus on the current list and get caught up when I'm free to, and re-evaluate how much of my time I can properly dedicate to commissions every week. I want to find a good balance of commissions, my career, and my home life - with, for the first time since I started, commissions taking the backseat.

Hello, hello, my lovely readers. So, as all of you noticed, I've been gone for quite a bit. I am so sorry for disappearing on all of you. Life got really, really hard for me. Work was pulling me in and out, then unemployment kicked my ass, all while I found myself all consumed in a new relationship that quickly turned very toxic and damaging to me, emotionally and mentally, to the point I had fallen back into self-harm as he lied to me about the six other women he had on the go, and then ended up having a bit of a mental break. I know I left a commission undone and I promise the reader that I will reach out to them in the next couple of days and figure out things with them.

For now, I am back. I cannot promise, guys, that I'll be on every single day and be super super active. I'm going to do the best I can and actually look forward to writing and answering requests, even if I'm sorely out of practice and won't be as good as I used to be. I look forward to the bit of a break from reality but truth is I'm still healing, so please be understanding and gentle with me guys. I know I have a lot of asks in the inbox. “[Name]! Over here!” Your friend waved you over their table when your roamed your eyes around the interior of the café, walking over to them as you clutched your backpack's strap tighter.

“Yo, sorry ‘m late. Didn't notice the time, I was too preoccupied with my work.” You smiled as your friends shrugged off your unusual tardiness, warmth filled you as butterflies swirled around your stomach in a warming way.

“Yeah, it's fine. We know you're busy, its even amazing to think that you could find a free time despite of your cramped schedule. Multiple works in everyday as routine, heck, its amazing just imagining that you can multitask in such advanced level.” One of your friends chimed in, apparently in a state of amazed at your skills. After all, not all could do what you do as an everyday normal occurrence in life.

“Working multiple jobs ain't hard and stressful if your work is also a hobby of yours, instead, it'll be a fun work. Enough of that, any updates? I haven't been able to come out of my house for quite some time, even checking my personal accounts are too much so, spill the tea.” You brought out your laptop and tablet along with your favourite sketchbook and notebook, placing them all in the table and in your lap.

“Seriously? You're gonna do work even here? No wonder the bag that you chose to use is a backpack. Take a break sometimes, you need a vacation!” Like a rebellious kid who's being reprimanded, you weren't listening and continued where you left on sketching the draft of your commission.

“Speaking of vacations, you said you want tea, I have a tea. I recently found this website through an ad, it seems pretty legit so I tried it. The website is all about promoting an island that seemed to be ‘granting’ wishes, multiple feedbacks claimed that their said to be wishes were granted.” [Friend name] showed the said website's homepage, earning a scoff from the rest of your friends.

“Seriously, they believe the feedbacks? For all we know, they might be bought by the developers of the website. They're just planning to scam us of our moneys!” One of them claimed, slamming their hands on the table. People inside the café turned their heads towards your group making you sigh, you had no choice but to calm your friend down and apologize for the commotion and distraction that your table had caused.

“I had my fun, thank you for inviting me you guys. Take care on your way home and be careful!” You waved them goodbye and went on your way home, tugging your jacket closer to your shivering frame.

Huh? Squeaks? Did you just hear squeaking? Where did it come from? What in the world would create squeaking noises?

Many questions swirled around your pretty head like a raging tornado, you slowly walked in to an alleyway where you assumed the noise came from. Looking around, you shone your phone's flashlight to provide at least a little of vision.

In the corner of your peripheral vision, you saw a wornout box shook frantically. When you stalked closer, abruptly, the box's lid slammed open eliciting a shriek of fright from you as a blob of liquid? Substance? Fluid? Floated in the air in front of you, what?

The blob floated closer to your frame and seemed to be in distress? The way it shook that causes its fluid body to shook along is what you assumed to be a body language of distress, upon closer look, the blob's appearance is strikingly similar to genshin's pet seelie.

As you were focused on the blob of fluid in front of you, your wrist phone rung as it vibrated. Startled, you snoozed the alarm and checked the time, only to realize at how late it is. Without any thoughts running in your mind, you tried to gently tuck the blob of fluid into your bag before wearing it on the front.

In hopes to get home as quick as possible, you run like your life was depending on it (well sort of, its late and you never know what kind of evil guys are lurking. Stay safe everyone!). You gently clutched the bag as you run to ensure that the blob of fluid wouldn't fall to the speed that you are running.

Upon arriving inside, you put your backpack down the floor softly as you slump on to the soft cushion of your couch. Leaning back as you let your tense muscles relax against the couch, completely forgetting about the blob you took home with you.

Minutes passed and you fell asleep without noticing, the blob of fluid wiggled its way out of your bag. Seeing that you fell asleep on the couch, the blob of fluid grabbed the folded blanket on the one-seat couch and pushed you to lay down comfortably in the couch, draping the blanket on your frame to prevent you from catching cold.

"Oh traveler! Just right on time, I received a commission and I know that only you can solve it. Another adventurer stumbled upon a ruin, and they claimed that outside the ruin, there's a huge group of abyss mages. They said that the device they have also grasped an unusual elemental activity going on from the ruin's direction, can you do the commission? I can assign someone who can take it if you won't." Katherine put a hand on her chest in a gentle manner, smiling at Traveler softly.

"Alright, I'll do it. I'm going out anyways, might as well do some commission while I'm at it." Traveler mumbled to himself as he took the paper from Katherine's hand, reading over the quest's information.

'Hmm.. There aren't much written information about the ruin.. I guess I'll end this quick, I still need to look for clues about Lumine's whereabouts..' Traveler thought as his lips formed a thin line, walking away from Katherine with Paimon bidding farewell to her.

"Traveler! Behind you! Look! There's a strange orb!" Paimon screamed, attracting me more abyss mage in their direction. Aether can't help but to click his tongue in annoyance, Paimon noticed Aether's mood and hid.

'Where do they keep coming up?... This is annoying me already.. I still need to find Lumine..' Aether defeated the abyss mage without letting any escape, feeling his temper boiling uncharacteristically, he stalked closer to the said strange orb and examined it.

"Uh.. Traveler..? Are you alright now?.." Paimon quietly asked as she appeared beside Aether who's inspecting the orb, seeing that his lips are still in a thin line, Paimon stopped talking and floated few steps back, not wanting to annoy Aether.

"What is this? Shall we submit this to Alhaitham or Kaveh? This thing look suspicious.." Aether lowly asked as he turned to Paimon who gave no response. Paimon got startled and panicked in her words as she answer Aether, doing her best not to cause any more further annoyance to the blonde traveler.

Just as the two were talking, the strange orb glowed brightly causing Paimon's and Aether's sight to be temporarily disabled. The whole situation cause Paimon to shriek in surprise and floated few steps back further in attempt to lessen the blinding light that's hitting her eyes. When Paimon's vision went back, Aether was no where yo be found and the dull blade that he was holding were left behind under the strange orb, laying in the orb's shadow.

Crying and panicking, Paimon flew back to Sumeru and stumbled upon Alhaitham, Kaveh, Cyno and Tighnari. The floating albino(?) raced through the air towards the four men, slamming herself against Tighnari's hold. She cried as her tears kept falling like river and her voice cracks ever so often, Paimon tried to explain what had occured in the ruin within her best but the only thing that the four men grasped in her explanation is that Aether suddenly went missing and that there's a strange orb inside a strange ruin.

"Wait- wait Paimon! Aether went missing? And what are you talking about? There's no such ruin like you mentioned in the outskirt of the forest, I would know if such ruin exist because me and the other forest rangers frequently patrol the whole territory." Tighnari made an attempt to calm the crying floating creature as he asked her numerous questions.

"Like I said! Aether and I were investigating a strange ruin! And Aether suddenly disappeared when this light from the strange orb that we found at the end of the ruin blinded us! All I heard was Aether groaning in surprise followed by his sword clanking on the ground! Then when Paimon opened her eyes, Aether were no longer beside her!" Paimon explained more cohesively as she cries harder, scared for her best friend's safety and location.

Alhaitham calmed Paimon down and suggested that they go to the Adventurers guild and post a commission on finding their blonde traveler, asking people on the way for clues and leads. The search for the Traveler had went on for 5 days and still no lead and clues or fruit in their search, the only clue and lead they have is the ruin that Paimon had mentioned so they decided to investigate the ruin themselves and find out the truth.

Yay Yipee I Finally Remembered I Should Update Folks On Things That Are Happening

because hey whoops as some of you might remember Supposedly I Stream Sometimes! That Uhhhh Hasn't Happened In A While Has It! so I should probably let folks know what's goin' on!! the long and the short of it is

Around late November/early December I started having issues where Discord would crash and restart anytime I tried to screenshare my capture software with my friends who I stream with. This put console game streams (so 2/3 of the games we were streaming) on the backburner till I could troubleshoot and solve that issue

On top of that it was Fucking Finals Season for me at my Graduate School so at a certain point I had to be responsible and focus on getting my final projects & essays done, which meant sacrificing stream time till my break (where I would hopefully have time to troubleshoot and then do a ton of streaming to make up for lost time)

Except THEN literally the second I went home for the holidays my hard drive abruptly and completely died. It is very possible that this contributed to the aforementioned tech issues

I was able to replace the drive and get my computer working again but because I have a Fucking Curse a lot of tech-side things were lost or started experiencing issues due to the new drive, namely A) I haven't been able to get my capture software working yet and B) whoops my entire OBS layout is just gone now I guess

This whole saga, on top of juggling other life shit and work and the like, effectively ate up my entire winter break

so tl;dr! I have a computer curse and because of it streams are gonna have to wait till I can get both OBS and my capture software working again. I'm hoping to work on that this weekend so I can be back to streaming next week, but given my school & job workload I'm guessing it'll more likely be two or three weeks. On top of that, I won't be streaming most of March due to reason of "my partner is visiting then". all of this sucks cause I want to be streaming, both for reason of "i like spending time with my good friends doing this" and "haha whoops I'm not earning money now and oh boy there sure are a lot of expenses flying at my head like rocks huh".

I've already rambled a bit more than I'd like to now so here's da main points:

Streams will (HOPEFULLY) be back in February. When they are, they'll be Monday & Tuesday nights, 5:30pst/8:30est, for as long as my friends remain available at those times (we're all adults having to look for or maintain Day Jobs so availability could change. y'all know how it is). I may also do occasional one-off streams on weekends as my energy 'n schedule permits, most likely art streams

I'll continue to be around on Holly's streams Fri/Sat/Sun as her schedule permits, because I don't have to rebuild OBS from the ground up for that

There is a 99.99% chance I'll be totally absent stream-wise during March

Even though streams are facing The Troubles I am still taking art commissions! Those haven't been affected!! You can submit an interest form here and I'll reach out to confirm prices as soon as I'm ready to start work on yours

LIFE UPDATE

TLDR: Less activity overall on all platform until I'm finished with interning cause low energy/anxiety and stress.

So I've started my interning for maybe a week now, and it has made me realized that I'm going to be busier than I anticipated.

There will be lesser activity from me when it comes to posting art and I won't be accepting anymore commission until my current queue is cleared (Unless its an on-stream commission which will be done on stream only but even then, I'm not sure if I can even stream like I planned to).

It has been fun and very nice interning, but it also takes pretty much most of the free time I would have had during this third year break. Personal art has been a little low, and I'm kinda struggling to pick up on art for things that's fun for me (Fandom or personal) and replying to DM/Comments has taken more energy than it should have.

Until my interning is done in one or two months or so, I'll be posting less with maybe few doodles/sketches here and there only. (Will still be active on Discord, but mostly lurking.)

I'll also be doing my best to take it easy at least for a bit while working on older comms from the side when able to. I've been dealing with random bursts of anxiety and been riddled with stress too so most weekends would be spent resting. Plus recent dreams I've had left me kinda emotionally exhausted since it was very personal.

Another note, but not as serious. I was looking forward to Art Fight too, but I don't know how much I can do this year :( but I am going to do my best to participate cause I want to! Just don't expect completely rendered art for all attacks.🙇‍♂️

Update regarding simple HK commissions or commissions I general I guess ope

Because August was a very busy month for me and my family due to some kind of serious health complication my brother had and having to go through a surgery, I ended up taking a proper break post being sure that he is recovering well (which has been recently, you could guess by the recent character drawings I did).

We have been all taking it easy at home (even dad is on vacation) and spending some quality time so I'm having mixed time when using the PC and now the new tablet I got as an early birthday present from bro which is still kind of bonkers to me but I am still super grateful :)

That said I will most likely spend the rest of september with this and most likely october too. I will still try work on the adopts but I, admittedly, don't feel like coming back to commissions just yet and I am very sorry to the folks who have been interested. The subject of having to do commissions to earn anything has been a mixed emotional bag for months now but I tried to keep it within my interest and work this way. It clicked for the most part tho until I had to take a break. And now I'm here XD

I do plan to do HKtober illustrations this year and since I don't have intended effort I want to put into them I might work on more stuff during the prompt weeks

That's about it. I just need some time to have fun with my own stuff so I can recharge on creativity a bit, get a better grip with this new tablet etc. The summer is basically over (it's 11C out hAH! <3) and I am finally feeling a mental recharge as well (really, finally, finally...)

HSR Spoilers

So far, I very much enjoy seeing the trio again and their dynamics since belebog. Oh boy, that was like over a year ago when our journey first started with March 7th and Dan Heng before we joined the Astral Express. ;w;

Entering the Luofu again during the busiest event, the Wardance Ceremony, is very welcoming since we get to reunite with old friends and meeting new ones. I do very much admire Yunli and Yanqing dynamic as being rivals, especially with their personalities and beliefs clashing greatly.

Can I say I very much love Grandpa Huaiyan and Dad Jing Yuan tired voice calling the kids name?

AlsoAlsoAlso two of the generals coming to the Luofu to ascertain Jing Yuan after the Abrosial Arbor event. I am very curious to how it will end up for JY.

FEIXIAO ENTRANCE INTERRUPTING THE KIDS FIGHT AAAA. What a Queen.

I do like the Feixiao-Jiaoqiu-Moze dynamic. It definitely highlights how comfortable they are around each other to voice their complaints. Also Moze breaking the mood by asking what's for dinner. HALPP.

Also meeting Lingsha for the first time and finding out she's also born on the Luofu. I don't have a clear judgement on her yet since she feels so...mysterious, especially with her beef with alot of things in the Luofu governments. ALSO LINGSHA VOUCHING FOR FEIXIAO TO GET HER CHECKED OUT BY BAILU AAAA.

I do love Lingsha strongarming Stokk to agreeing to an inspection. Like I legit forgot about this dude until I heard his voice and went: Ah yes, this karen-dude. I remember you barking like a dog. I legit enjoy making him squirm again. >:))))

When I did see Sushang in the Alchemy commission, I was hoping she talk to Dan Heng a bit too considering they did travel together briefly. :(((( But maybe later on they can get a chance to talk.

Also it was super funny how Huaiyan and Jing Yuan basically had the kids team up to be a mentor to March 7th and take her in as their apprentice. LOLOLOL. AND THE WAY DAN HENG AND THE TRAILBLAZER LOOKED AT HER WHEN THEY ASKED WHO WILL BE THE APPRENTICE. They just yeeted her right there without saying a word.

I do admire Yunli straightforward and simple personality. I might be a little peeved how she commented about Yanqing concerns whether or not he can be a good teacher or not. I did see it as Yunli taunting/motivating Yanqing to push himself, especially since they're rivals and working together. Not only that!!! They're kids!!! They say what's on their mind and are very impulsive!

I'm just a bit high-strung cause it's one thing to learn from the master. It's a totally different thing to teach the subject and make sure the student understands what is you're trying to teach them. It's not an easy job for sure!!! And I wouldn't want to be put in the role of a teacher/leader, because what makes sense for me won't make sense for them. So you have to try to work around that and find a way to help them understand the lessons!

So I understand Yanqing concerns whether or not he's good enough to be capable of teaching someone until Jing Yuan gives him another perspective on the topic and push him to at least try. ;w; Not only that, but's a change of pace for Yanqing too.

March 7th is super adorable in her new outfit, and her besties are cheering her on!!! AAAAA.

I also can't wait for Feixiao to join the generals cause not only it's interrogation time for Jing Yuan, but we get to see her thoughts/opinions on him.

ALSOALSOALSO FEIXIAO AND YUKONG MEETING. I figured it be Yukong when Feixiao said she'll meet an old friend but holy crap it was actually Yukong. The fanarts of them together do make sense too now. It was nice to see them relax and catch up as old friends, BUTTTT BUTTT BUTTT

Feixiao bringing updates about Tingyuan case, and I AM PRETTY SURE IT IS TINGYUAN. Because Yukong is still looking for any traces of Tingyuan since Phantylia used her as a disguise. ;w; They found her ship, but not the body yet and...Ruan Mei??? Ruan Mei??? RUAN MEI???

Ruan Mei I hope whatever you did to Tingyun it was more good than bad.

I pretty much stopped after getting March 7th new path. ;w; now big question...any recommended builds for her?? I saw a few people already have her built and ready to go.

I don't know how much more I have left for this quest. I haven't seen the Shackling Prison yet so I know I still have some ways to go.

Possible Minor Fic Chapter Delay (NOT A HIATUS)

I am so sorry to people who read "A Clearly Discernible Line" but I have concerns about whether I will be able to finish chapter seven by Friday. I know I said to expect fic chapters on Fridays, and I take that extremely seriously (it was a huge reason that I was able to finish chapter six when I was). I know that it can be a break of trust to promise an update schedule and then fail to deliver, and that it can impact whether people want to read both this fic and future fics of mine. I will get the chapter out if it is mentally and medically possible for me to do so.

To be clear, the delay would be by a couple of days. Writing is continuous and I write this project whenever I can summon the executive functioning. So even if this chapter is late, chapter eight will still be worked on, then chapter nine, then chapter ten. This fic will be finished, roughly within the same time period. I will always aim for Friday, the chapter will come soon after. I am only saying I might need a couple extra days here and there.

I had a two chapter buffer, which quickly went away due to autism burnout and minor but very uncomfortable medical issues. My emotional support bird started feather destructive behavior, then stopped, and has now started again, which caused a lot of stress and consumed a lot of time. I had a couple fun severe panic moments related to the news, which took me out of commission for a couple days. Basically every time something settles enough to do some writing, some new complication shows up. For example, yesterday my right arm was randomly out of commission. Today, bird resumed feather destruction. I still have an outline of when I could get writing done and how much would need to be done per day, but I can't always stick to those outlines.

I am beginning to the think the pressure to get the chapter done by Friday specifically has morphed from a motivator to a major source of anxiety (must get it done by Friday or I am breaking trust of readers who trusted me, I said I would do it so I need to or everyone will hate me and never read this fic or any fic again, etc spiral). If this were a college assignment, I would have asked for an extension last week. So it probably is not great that I was not willing to ask for less for a fic I'm supposed to be writing for fun. This is obviously not my readers' fault at all. No one is placing this pressure on me, quite the opposite. But those with GAD will confirm that we can feel a lot of intrinsic pressure.

I think it will actually help chapters get written by Friday if I loosen the stated expectation slightly. It will be Friday...or the next few days, for example. Because it will be published, if for no other reason than to spite the trials being sent my way (though also for other reasons, such as support from fellow fans and the fact it is fun to write when one doesn't have to write strictly to meet a Very Strict Deadline).

Sorry again for having to change the update schedule. I am doing my best and am still so grateful for everyone who has read the fic so far.

I Miss Seeing You Post Fanfiction.

Aw man sorry to hear that. Tbh I do miss writing as much as I used to. Mainly just taking a break from fanfiction cause I found myself putting this weird pressure on myself to write the characters a certain way and update so often, otherwise I'd feel bad. And yeah when you don't keep that in check it can be weirdly draining. I may start posting original snippets though. I've talked about it ,but I'm working on my own personal story project currently and it's just so much fun getting to make up my own characters and story and not feel the pressure of getting them wrong cause they're literally mine lol. I'm really excited to share it when and where I can.

And hey, if I ever decide to open up writing commissions I'll make sure to allow fanfiction as an option. Sorry again though, and thanks for letting me know I am missed, appreciate it!
