(•Д•), Dunmeshi is over taking me!! [spoilers ahead!]

So, I’ve already finished the manga and I’m now waiting for the new episode but during the gap I’ve been consuming fandom content, as per use. Now, the character that I’ve been consuming the most fandom content is Laios cause he’s so jdjdjsjs, and this idea has been fluttering round my head because I’ve only seen THREE actual posts/works about this. Two being fics and one being a tumblr post.

The specific idea is a sibling swap, Falin and Laios, and I’m suffering from lack of content from it!! Only two fics and one tumblr post [ТдТ] One of the fics is Laios and making his desire to be to swap with Falin, and what he thinks will happen. The other is Falin going through the dungeon to save Laios and it’s specific the episode that’s coming out this Thursday, so chapter 27/28 in manga I think.

Like this concept really gets me going cause it changed the whole dynamic of how things would play out. Laios being there meant they met Senshi because Laios was interested in eating monsters. Falin, although she does have an interest, would not have that strong of an interest in eating monsters. I also feel she may not realise it’s hunger that caused them to fail because she was focused on protecting her brother and the party, literally letting herself get eaten to save her brother. She also would not have intimate knowledge of monsters so the party may have a harder time killing monsters.

I think Marcille and Chilchuck would still be in the party. Marcille doesn’t seem to have a deep connection with Laios at the start, with her clashing with Laios and his monster eating habits. Plus the prior encounter where she wanted to kill him for taking Falin away from magic school. This bond deepens between them as they go down the dungeon and she obviously cares for the rest of the party, feeling betrayed that Namari and Shuro [I keep forget your actual name] left. But I feel if it were Lauos to get eaten she wouldn’t be as motivated as she is with Falin [Lesbian icon!] because she doesn’t get to connect with him. This then brings into question, would she revive Laios and risk being jailed by the elves?

She probably would because it’s Falin who asked but there would be more hesitation. Especially with Chilchuck who is against it no matter what.

Talking about Chilchuck, I feel he would stay out of obligation. The same reason he stayed with Laios originally. I think his dynamic wouldn’t change that much but maybe he’d see Falin and Marcill closer to his daughters [?] or maybe he’d have a gripe cause of their relationship as we already know he doesn’t do inter party relationships.

Namari would still leave but I think Shuro would be more hesitant, his love for Falin possibly making him stay for a little bit.

Of course we have the problem with money and food but I think Falin has enough people skills to gather some things. But, because she lived with Laios for some time and heard about his monster fantasies, maybe she’d consider eating monsters. I feel people would be more likely to listen to her rather than Laios [sorry buddy] but still question it. However, Shuro did have a whole crew so maybe he’d help with that and we’d have a whole different crew dynamic.

Talking about that, I wonder how Kabru and his party would interact with Falin’s party. How’d the Namari reunion go? What would Falin’s desire be? How would the finale fight be? Would Laios have a cool chimera bod like Falin?

So many questions for my tiny brain….

I am a simple woman who enjoys watching SRQ realize he's been clowned. And drunk Cui Yulang and exasperated Li Rong passing back & forth messages

Every time he brushes back a tendril of hair, I can hear her from the novel, "Be normal!"

They kept it! So I can be a softy and I admit was a bit charmed by this minor character when LR shared her view of someone with talent and perhaps desire to be of use, but who in her life never accomplished anything... and then he stops pretending to be a shallow pretty face for a moment to confess the real reason he wants to work for her is simply that he thinks she cares about people. I was disarmed by the way he doesn't think she'll believe that - but she immediately does (how few people have believed that about her, how few people have taken him seriously)

They even included PWX's petty ass fucking with the carriage 😭

Oh pleaaaaseeeeee Cui Yulang trying to come up with complaints about Li Chuan and everyone is like ?? ?? 😭😭😭

Please don't let me down drama, I want that whole scheme!

For once the Su Rongqing and Li Rong scene actually worked for me. I did feel that moment where she bluntly references that this battle is heading in 1 direction: one of them will fall. We can see the blow hit both them. SRQ has been stubbornly in denial that this fight is against her faction but he's not taking her down - not truly. Not this time. But she just ripped all pretense away.

(this is where the story gets me to care about their dynamic. not as a love triangle, which it never really has been. but as 2 broken things that used to huddle in the dark to keep warm, now with a new chance in the light... and this is what they're going to do with it? fight to the death? it's sad.)

My darling Pei Wenxuan has not actually lost in brains from jealousy. Good for him.

(In the novel during this time he's secretly plotting shit about the exams and hiding it from LR, because of the whole 'we used to be the leaders of 2 competing factions in the last life' thing that LR was originally concerned about but then the glow of love made her stop being concerned about it, but guess!! what!!)

Episode 27

Syrus finding out Professor Banner is up to some shady things.

I’m sorry the runes that have a tomb in them? Where shadow games used to happen? Seto Kaiba I have some questions for you about your school.

I love how well Jaden knows his friends. Alexis tells him that these runes are where the shadow games took place and his first thought is sweet we can find clues about your brother!

“You get pizza and we get… whatever it is I’m holding!” Curse you dub writers!! That is Onigiri and it’s delicious. I won’t forgive this blasphemy.

Backpack Pharaoh!!! And so it begins

Not Pharaoh starting everything because he pawed at an ancient object. The most realistic thing here is a cat causing problems on purpose.

Jaden please listen to winged Kuriboh when he tells you to run

Jaden what do you mean you’ll lead the storm away?? Take cover. As much as I blame his friends in later seasons for making Jaden solve their problems he really does have a hero complex. The boy needs to learn to value himself.

Really duel spirit Winged Kuriboh!! I forgot we got this so early on. Jaden is so excited about being able to touch Winged Kuriboh.

The grave keepers??? Oh that has to be weird for AU Jaden who knows the tomb keepers.

“If it’s for my friends Tehran there is no doubt I’ll win.” “Buried alive? Then who will save my friends?” Jaden I love his selfless you are but please worry about yourself to.

“Good luck Jaden we are all rooting for you very very much” - banner. “Jaden!” - Syrus. “Come one Jaden save us.” - Chumley. While they are all tied up doing nothing. And so it begins. Jaden the savior. We shall sit back and not try to save ourselves and how Jaden wins a card game for our lives.

I do love Jaden mentally communicating with Winged Kuriboh.

Jaden why didn’t you attack? He only has a face down monster card on the field. Like you could have taken one monster out and then you wouldn’t have been attacked twice in the next turn. It would have only been once and bubble man would have blocked most of the damage.

Especially since this duel is real!

Au Jaden knows that this is so dangerous. He’s in the spirit world dueling with real damage with all his friends lives in the line

Episode 28

“Hey winged kuriboh you always have my back!” “He’s not a weakling he’s my very best friend.” Love the Kuriboh love

“I summon myself” ah our first duel against a duel spirit. It’s so wild how the person you’re fueling can just run over and attack you.

“Behold the power of the shadow game” Jaden falls to his knees “shadow games”

What a crazy moment for Au Jaden who grew up hearing of but never seeing or playing a shadow game. (Well he did earlier this season but still it’s a shock to the system every time.) He has to be freaking out. He knows how dangerous this is.

“You should have attacked faster.” I love that this implies that the monsters have control over how quickly the attacks land. (Which is the point she’s alive and doesn’t want Jaden to die.) but it’s funny hearing someone blame their monster. Plus Jaden’s “it’s not her fault you messed up!” Yes Jaden call him out

Jaden just got impaled and attacked by magic. He’s physically suffering. And he’s laughing. You maniac. He’s having a fun duel.

Way to find a loop hole Jaden. He can’t access card effects targeting the graveyard but not the monster effects of cards in the graveyard it’s also a great debut for Necroshade.

And to use the effect to get bladeedge out for the win.

The Chief is hurt after the match and Jaden was instantly concerned for him. Love Jaden complimenting all of them. I had a great time, you guys are great can I duel you again without my friends in a coffin?

Oh my goodness I forgot Des Koala spirit showed up. And to carry and injured Cumley to freedom!!! (Also Chumley yelling “I love running” as he’s being carried is such a real thing)

Question Alexis and Syrus just saw all these real duel spirits. They saw how they helped them. Why in later episode do they act like Jaden’s crazy for talking to his spirits? Specifically Syrus?

Yes the wake up outside of the ruins. But come on you know it wasn’t a dream, Jaden has the amulet.

Also I love the detail of Winged Kuriboh and Des Koala’s cards being out and next to their masters since their spirits were with them in the spirit world.

Episode 29

The shadow riders are here! It’s time for Nightshroud!

Love the reveal that he has the second half of the pendant right away.

Not Chazz roasting Jaden for being called to the principals office only to be called in as well.

And Crowler taking every opportunity to mock Jaden. And Jane turning it right back on Chazz!

Also why are the ‘best duelist’ at the school made up of 2 teachers (are there no other teachers, there should be more teachers) 1 senior and 4 freshman. Like at the 3rd and 2nd year classes just full of duds??

Jaden just found out about the Sacred Beast cards

“Our 7 best duelist!! Well really 5 best but I need 7.” Said directly to the Teachers!!!

Of course Jaden the first to grab one. (Followed by Zane, Bastion, Alexis, Chazz, a bragging Crowler, and Banner)

Love Alexis think Jaden is going to be a target because he’s a Slifer (she’s right)

Nightshroud does have a sick entrance, and a duel in a volcano

Of course Syrus and Chumley are bait again. At least Chumley offered to help.

Jaden- “it’s not my first shadow duel! I just hope this one doesn’t hurt”

Au Jaden is really debating calling in the professionals how freaked out do you think Au Jaden is by frighting Red eyes black dragon in a shadow duel? Like that is Uncle Joey’s card. It has always protected Jaden. He’s never been scared of Red Eyes until this moment.

But he’s also fueled against it a hundred times. So he knows what works and what doesn’t.

Except this guys has a deck built around Red Eyes. And he’s able to get over Jaden’s monster with a spell card to attack him directly. Jaden can feel the full power of Red eyes and it hurts. By the time the episode ends Jaden is struggling to stand and panting for breath. He’s really hurt

Also he’s what 14/15 and dueling for his friends lives and the world. No wonder he has anxiety by season 3

Episode 30

Okay Jaden finally gets a monster with equal points as Red eyes, takes it out and goes for direct damage with Burstintrix.

Jaden asking him why he’s not acting like he’s hurt is honestly funny.

Way to get extra cards in your hands Jaden.

Jaden refusing to lose even though he’s been hit again and is almost brought to his knees.

He gets a good hit in and finally get his moment to flinch in pain.

He’s got so many Red eyes cards.

4,500 is crazy in early Yugioh. Plus Red eyes eternally dark fire has such a sick design.

Everyone else recognizing something is wrong except Crowler is amazing.

Jaden just took two heavy hits and collapsed. Love Alexis offer to take over the duel and he gets her soul if she wins or loses. I love the attitude. But maybe actually do it rather than continue standing to the side while Jaden gets back up and keeps going.

Great win Jaden.

But home boy just passed out from damage.

Atticus is back!!

I was thinking about giving Alexis or Zane this duel but the trauma of Jaden having to stare down Red Eyes and fight for his life.

Also Joey’s reaction to Jaden telling them about how he fought a red eyes deck that tried to kill him. Maybe he missed his check in call because of the damage caused. When he finally does call home they can instantly tell he’s hurt and they are all freaking out. More shadow games?? What is this the fourth one?

Maybe Jaden’s been keeping them a secret until now as they were one off events but now he can’t hide them any more.

Or maybe he has told them but said he could handle it as they were one off events. Not they are definitely not. There are seven duelist coming for Jaden and his friends’s souls.

And how does Joey handle one of his favorite cars being responsible for the banged up condition Jaden is in.

Episode 31

Camula stop spying on peoples cards and why are you stalking the 17 year old.

Why are both teachers cowards?

I love seeing Crowler in action as a good guy.

Crowler how did you just figure out that the fuel was real.

“I won’t let you let you lay a finger on MY students. I am the leading professor at the most prestigious duel academy in the world and if you want to get to my pupils you’re going back o have to go through yours truely.” Yes!!! This is the Crowler I want barely able to stand and protecting his students until the end.

“If you want help with your strategy feel free to drop by my class.” We love the confidence.

I love that he’s getting his bit kicked and the kids want to step in but Crowler keeps telling them to stay out. He’s protecting them.

And when everyone else is doubting him Jaden arrives (being supported by Syrus). And he embodies Aunt Téa as he tells him he can win this. That he can come back and get his game on.

I believe this is the moment that Crowler starts to respect Jaden

Crowler using his last moments to encourage his student. And then when he loses “avenge me Jaden my boy.” Like Zane right there but he doesn’t ask him because Crowler knows deep down who’s going to win this.

Oh doll crowler is way creepier than I remember. And Jaden becoming furious when she tries it to the browned only to be held back by Zane. Because he knows Jaden is still really hurt form dueling Atticus

What a great episode.

Episode 32

I love that Jaden is still healing, and Chazz holding the Crowler doll.

Chazz stepping up to duel in Jaden’s place because Jaden is still hurt.

Zane leaving to handle the problem. When Syrus chases after him he gives his little brother such a fond look. I like that you can tell just how much Zane cares for his brother even if he’s bad at showing it.

Chazz not only has the crowler doll with him but his obelisk uniform hung up ready to reclaim his place. You sentimental boy

Zane just rushed his duel. And Syrus caught it. Amazing growth. But Zane didn’t misplay he had a back up planned. What a great way to show Syrus’s growth while also uplifting Zane’s duelist skills.

She’s going to sacrifice Syrus’s soul if she loses. I love how distraught Zane is about it. He could absolutely win but he won’t because his brother is more important to him than the world. What a Kaiba move of you Zane.

Syrus “Sacrifice me it’s okay?” Like I hate how little you think of yourself?

And after that impassioned bleach Zane tells him he loves him and stands down.

Doll Zane!!

Can I have season 1 Syrus in season 3??? Like give him some more confidence.

They also animated the kid having a panic attack that’s wild.

Jaden swearing to beat her when he can’t even stand.

Okay I get he’s determined to duel but like Chazz, Alexis, and Bastian are all in way better shape than he is. Why is he the one dueling? Like I get Zane was the best but pull your weight guys.

Episode 33

Um Seto you need to check in on your school. The head master is talking to the head to the shadow riders

I love Atticus waking up just enough to give Alexis an idea

Syrus and Chumley trying to make Banner carry his weight. (He is the only remaining adult) and Chazz and Bastion ready to roll.

Alexis what do you mean you brought the ‘Calvary’ that’s just Jaden and he should be resting!! I get that Jaden is the ‘only one with a shadow charm’ but please he’s on shaky legs.

Jaden starts out strong but Camila is already trying to sacrifice everyone. If that dumb shadow charm hadn’t kicked in they would all be dead.

Offta Jaden just had tempest turned against him. But he got it back pretty fast.

Chazz why is your professor in your pocket???

Jaden did you forget that she admitted to spying on y’all with her bats already?

Jaden you are barely hanging on. The Chazz even says it. “How did we let him do this?”

We just got some crazy vampire lore for the world of Yugioh!!! What?? I forgot all about this. She’s the last vampire in the world?? This is crazy.

Did she just accuse Jaden of Chesting because she didn’t see his card when she was cheating?

Also Jaden I love you. “I didn’t even sneak it in. I just figured since you were all about the shadows I should bring something light.”

She just got dusted!!!

Zane’s back and Crowler. He just appeared out of Chazz’s project.

Au Jaden has to be going through it. Because at first he had to make a decision. To call dad or to not call dad. He has told them about the one off duel with Jinzo (the first shadow game against a duel spirit) and the duel with Titan (the guy with a fake Millennium puzzle, it started as a fake shadow game but then became real)

And his family has been so worried each time he brought one up. That fake Millennium Puzzle really ticked them all off. He knows how worried they are.

And then he goes to another dimension and duels the tomb keepers and isn’t that weird, and earns his own half of a shadow charm. Does he call Yugi? This is his third Shadow game and this time it took him to a different realm. But his dad and his friends have already fought for the world. They don’t need to do it again. It’s Jaden’s turn to protect them.

On the next call with Yugi he doesnt tell him about the shadow game and the tomb keepers. Yugi notices the new necklace but Jaden just tells him he won it in a duel.

Later when Nightshroud and duels Jaden the duel is much the same. Jaden passes out from pain and exhaustion and sleeps for a few days.

In those few days he misses a call with Yugi. Yugi is trying not to panic. Jaden hasn’t missed a call yet but he can be forgetful. Maybe he got caught up in a duel and forgot to call. But as the days stretch on Yugi gets more and more worried. He doesn’t want to over react and go to the school, but it’s not like Jaden to ignore his messages. Seto looks up the attendance record. Jaden hasn’t been going to class, but he’s listed as clinic. Why is Jaden staying in the clinic????

They are in full freak out mode when Jaden finally calls them. Yugi answers the video call in a panic. Jaden is sitting up in a bed in the clinic and he’s obviously hurting. He looked exhausted and is slumped over and in obvious pain. Yugi freaks out “what happened!”

And Jaden can’t hide it. So he tells them about his duel with the tomb keepers that got him his pendant. The keys and the Sacred Beast. And the Shadow Riders. Jaden tells them about the duel with Nightshroud. How it was a shadow game. His 4th shadow game. (4 shadow games to many in Atem’s opinion) it’s been days and Jaden still hasn’t recovered. His hands are shaking on the call and his eyes are drooping as he fights sleep to talk to them.

Yugi’s ready to go. Normally he’s the one telling Seto and Arem to wait but that’s his baby boy trembling and barely able to sit up. But Jaden argues that they (he and his friends) can do this.

Seto asks the winning question “who is we?” When Jaden tells them it’s 4 1st years 1 3rd year and 2 Teachers Seto is ready to fire everyone at the school. Who put these children in charge of keeping the world safe? What adult did this? “Well be there in 2 hours”

“No! This is my fight. We can do this I promise.” -Jaden

“Jaden you can barely sit up. We’re coming.” - Seto

“It’s not just me. The others are great duelist. Look I promise I’ll call you if things start to get out of hand. But right now Trust me.” - Jaden

And Yugi hates it. Hates remembering being the kids responsible for saving the world, why is that his son’s job now? But he can see how much this means to Jaden. And arguing with him is just making the situation worse. He can see the strain and stress this is putting the boy under.

“Stop both of you.” He stops his husband and son from arguing. “Here’s how we are going to play this. Jaden the moment you feel you can’t handle it, even for a second, you call us. We will handle it. But until then Seto is going to send you a vital band.” They used them to monitor vitals of people when they do research of virtual worlds or dimensional traveling. “You are going to wear it the whole time. If you’re vitals ever drop passed what WE determine as safe, we are coming no arguments.”

Seto wants to keep arguing that they go now but he understands Yugi’s compromise. They had several long talks after Jaden’s first and second shadow game. About how unfair this was, how they wanted to protect him, but he was growing up. They couldn’t shield him forever. He was the son of the King of Games and Seto Kaiba, Nephew to Atem the pharaoh who defeated Zorc. His life was always going to be dangerous once people found out.

At least he was somewhere with at least 2 competent adults (ha they don’t know it’s Crowler and Banner) and several friends to help. He’s not alone (he’s going to do most of the work but they don’t know that now) and they can get to him in a matter of hours if need be. Jaden is strong. He’s hurt right now and that is being out every single one of Yugi’s dad instincts right now but he trust Jaden to know his limits.

“Thanks for believing in me Dad.” Jaden’s smile almost makes it worth it.

Either Jaden will handle this with his friends of Yugi will step in. They are keeping the plane on standby just in case.

Camula starts causing problems literally the next night. And as Jaden watches his teacher fall and he’s to week to stand he wonders if maybe he is in over his head. Then Zane goes down and he’s about to call home when Atticus wakes up and is like “no you need a shadow charm” and now Jaden knows he can’t call them. If he does then what happened to Dr. Crowler and Zane will happen to his family! No he can do this. He can win back his friends souls, save the world and keep his family safe.

After his duel with Camula Jaden does get a call from Yugi because his vitals were acting weird. Not the agreed upon low numbers but still weird enough to check in (Yugi is looking for excuses at this point to check in on his boy.) Jaden tells him about Camula (there’s no point in keeping secrets) and Yugi is stressed but he’s trying not to show it because he can see the anxiety rolling off of Jaden. Maybe it’s time to visit any ways…..

She was in shock.  There was no other way to explain her current state of calm after what had just happened, after what she’d just witnessed. 

After escaping the Evil Queen’s cell, with her innocent prisoner in tow, Hook had filled her in on what she’d missed.  Snow White had sent them a way to get into the castle, but she hadn’t met back up with them, and they were concerned she’d been captured.

When they’d reached the large, circular window overlooking the courtyard, they discovered that their concerns were more than founded.

Emma would never forget the horror of looking down to see her mom tied to a stake, surrounded by wood and with the Evil Queen preparing to hurl a fireball in her direction.  She’d been desperate to move, to act, to do something to stop what was about to happen, but without her magic, she was completely powerless.

As the Evil Queen let the fireball fly, and as her mother’s writhing form was consumed, Hook pulled her to himself, and she clung to him.  Needing him, needing his comfort more than she ever had before.

They’d watched in horrified fascination as the fire quickly did its job, leaving nothing but ash in its wake.  She couldn’t look away.  As horrific as it was, she couldn’t look away.

Finally, as the guards and the Queen turned back toward the castle, Hook had reminded them that they would accomplish nothing by being captured themselves, and they’d stealthily left the castle, returning to the fire her dad and Killian had built while they waited.

“After my brother passed,” Killian said almost hesitantly once the two of them were again alone, “all I could do was relive that final, terrible moment. Don’t do that to yourself, love.  All we can do at times like these is to try to live in the here and now.”

She appreciated his attempts to help her through this, but it would take some time before she could close her eyes without seeing her mother murdered before her eyes and her completely powerless to stop it.

They had failed, and failed so profoundly, nothing could ever be right again.  Her mom was dead, and with her gone, Regina would never be defeated, the kingdom would never be saved, her dad would never have true love, her baby brother, who’d just been born, would never exist.

Would never exist.

Suddenly a ray of hope pierced her darkness.

“Here and now,” she said, brow furrowed.  “I’m still here.  How is that possible?  We saw her die, which means I would never be born.”

Killian’s eyes widened as the implications of her words hit him. “You should have faded from existence.”

“Exactly,” she said.

“Well then, perhaps–” he began slowly.

“She’s still alive!” Emma said, knowing that somehow, some way, against all odds it had to be true.  She hadn’t lost her mother after all, not yet anyway.  There was still hope!

Okay, so I've been obsessing over Aslaz for weeks and there isn't nearly enough fanfiction in English for them. But I learned my lesson a while ago: you wanna some fanfiction you gotta start writing it yourself 🙈😂

Here goes my first attempt at writing Aslaz.

That episode 28 final scene was so all over the place and out of nowhere. But we got what we got. There was a millisecond of adorable Aslaz but it wasn't nearly enough so I decided to sprinkle in a missing Aslaz scene that takes place after the iftar.

I don't own the show or any of the characters. They belong to the Yabani writers and the production company. This is only fanfiction.

You Never Know Unless You Try

They finish their meal and Asi leaves his side to go help clean up. He feels her absence immediately. But also knows it's not normal to crave her presence this much at all times. So Alaz wanders off to find his brother. They talk and hug and then work together as a well-oiled machine, loading the tables and chairs into a truck. They spend time with street kids, feeding them. Later they all sit around crackling fire and sing together.

Alaz gives himself a mental high five for having been a perfectly functioning independent human being and thinks he's had enough space and given enough of it to Asi. So his eyes scan everyone gathered around the fire but don't see her. His anxiety spikes but is soothed immediately by the sight of her, standing alone at the water, staring into the distance. Alaz goes to her, leaving the crowd.

He approaches quietly and comes to stand behind her with only a few inches between his front and her back. He doesn't touch her until he feels her relax and lean back into him. Only then Alaz snakes an arm around Asi's middle, his palm coming to rest over the place where he knows her stab wound - the one that matches his own - is hidden under the layers of clothing. Alaz presses a tender kiss to Asi's temple and whispers:

"Hey! What are you doing out here all alone? Are you okay?"

Asi's hand comes over the one Alaz has on her abdomen and squeezes his fingers gently.

"Yeah, just ... Needed to breathe a little, you know. And to think".

Alaz nods, leans his head into hers and asks quietly:

"Think about what?"

"Everything. What happened. Life. Future. Us".

"What about us?" Alaz asks with a hint of vulnerability in his voice, hugging Asi a little tighter but mindful of her healing wound.

"It's just ... How's it going to be? Us?"

"What do you mean? We love each other, don't we?"

"We do. But what now? We've never been ... Well, this. We've never been normal. Just ... loud. Screaming, hitting, biting and stabbing each other with words and not only words. What are we going to do now when it's quiet, Alaz? How are we going to do this?"

"Look, I don't know how but we'll figure this out, together. This is new for me too. I've never done this before. So we just learn to walk, step by step, before we can run".

"Run where? I've never even thought about the future, Alaz. Never thought I had one".

"Well, now you have a future. We do. We can be and do whatever the hell we want".

"I haven't even finished school, Alaz. What could I possibly do?"

"Well, you can finish school, for starters. If you want to. And I know that you're a woman of many talents. You sing, you dance, you fight, you're good with a knife. Bet you could make a mean chef" Alaz says with a smile, nuzzling Asi's neck.

She lets out a small laugh and pushes at him slightly, trying to get away from a tickling sensation of his barely there scruff on her tender skin.

"I'm serious!"

"So am I!"

"You're an idiot!"

"Okay, I am. Your idiot".

Asi turns to face Alaz and looks deep into his eyes.

"Alaz ... What if we try and this doesn't work?"

"We'll never know unless we actually try. And maybe it'll work out even better than we could ever imagine. I'm ready to try. Are you?"

He waits for her response with bated breath, willing to accept anything she chooses, even though his very being is screaming at him to screw this acceptance and respecting her wishes and just make her stay with him forever. Lost in this inner turmoil, Alaz almost misses Asi's softly spoken words:

"I am ready ".

Summer Part Three - Struck by Love Legacy Challenge - Season 2, Episode 28

Later that day

Naomi: Sorry that we kicked him out, I explained everything to Suzu and she understands. I know you treated Hiro like he was your own son, but what he did was gross and if Leo hadn't come into the room ..

Maeve: Take a breath sweetie, I'm not mad. I can't believe he did that to you. What's important is that your safe and okay. If he treats his own family like that, there's no telling how he treats other people.

Naomi: Yeah, I agree. I feel bad for Suzu, I know that was her brother. If Kaito ever did something like that, I'd have hella mixed feelings.

Maeve: Well, I raised Kaito better than that, I'd also treat him like I did when he was a kid if I ever found out he acted like that.

Naomi: There's something else I wanted to talk to you about.

Maeve: What's up sweetie?

Naomi: How did you know you were ready to be a parent?

Maeve: Well, honestly, I wasn't ready. I love you, but you were a surprise, we didn't plan you out. Truthfully, I was really scared. When you're 19 and got pregnant by a man that you had only been dating for a couple months, everything was so uncertain. What I do know is that I did my best for you and Kaito and I think you guys turned out alright.

Naomi: When did you not feel so scared?

Maeve laughs: I was always scared, but I never showed you or Kaito that I was scared because I had to be the strong one. I don't think being scared ever really goes away, or the worry. I still worry about the both of you. Why you asking sweetie?

Naomi: Well, Leo brought up kids but I wasn't sure I was ready. What if I mess them up? What if they make the same mistakes I did? What if they turn out like me? I was awful to you and Star at one point, what if my child does the same to me?

Maeve: The fact that you are so worried about being a parent tells me that you are going to be a wonderful parent. I had those same thoughts, you turned out pretty great Nay, no matter the mistakes you made. No matter how you treated me and Star once upon a time. You are a wonderful person who cares about other people. You are going to be an absolutely wonderful mother. And in those cases of when you're child is so mad at you that they leave your home and don't speak to you, you love them anyways and you let them make their own mistakes. Some lessons they have to learn on their own.

Naomi feels tears welling up in her eyes: Thanks, mom. I wasn't going to ask so soon or even bring it up, but I think I'm late.

Maeve gasps: Have you taken a test?

Naomi: No, I've been scared too.

Maeve: Well, I'll go get one in town and you can take it here and we'll find out together. I know you're scared but you need to know so you can start treating your body like you're carrying a baby.

Naomi: You don't have to go to town, I brought one with me. I've been too scared to take it alone and I don't want to get Leo's hopes up or let him know that I'm scared. I don't want to let him down, he wants a child so bad.

Maeve: Well let's go take it, okay? I'll be with you every step.

Maeve and Naomi head towards Naomi and Leo's room at the vacation rental. Naomi takes the test and heads back out to the bedroom where Maeve is waiting.

The three minutes go by so slow, Naomi felt like years were going by before she got her answer.

Two bright pink lines showed on the test marking Naomi pregnant.

Naomi: I'm- I'm pregnant.

Maeve: Oh honey, this is great news!

Naomi: I'm so scared mom.

Maeve: It's okay, I'll be here, and Leo will be here.

Naomi: I gotta tell Leo the news.

Maeve: I know you're scared, but like I said. Everyone's scared. It's okay to be scared.

Naomi: Thanks mom.

Naomi left to go find Leo. Kaito let her know that Leo was taking care of Elle and putting her down for a nap upstairs. Naomi walked up the stairs and found Leo.

Leo: She's such a good baby and beautiful too.

Naomi: She sure is. The best baby.

Leo: Our babies will be just as beautiful and good as she is, I'm sure of it.

Naomi: Hopefully...

Leo: You okay my love?

Naomi: Yeah, I'm okay. I have something to tell you...

Leo smirks: You're leaving me for Hiro??

Naomi laughs: No, of course not!

Leo: Well, what's going on?

Naomi slightly smiles: I'm pregnant.

Leo gasps: Really?! You are?! When did you find out?

Naomi: Less than five minutes ago. I had to come tell you as soon as I found out. Oh, also, my mom already knows.

Leo: I don't care, I'm so excited! We're going to have a baby!

Maddy’s Top Five Favorite TMNT Episodes from Every Series!

Welcome to my ranking list! My first of many, hopefully! I even spiced things up and made it all fancy with the different font! 😂 god I’m getting old.

A while ago I made a PowerPoint presentation for fun about the history of the TMNT and the franchise. From that point it led to me gaining a spot in a YouTube video series discussing the movies leading up to the premier of Mutant Mayhem, and it’s been one of the best things to happen to me despite the terrible stuff I’ve gone through.

TMNT really saved me at the lowest point of my life in the winter of 2022. It inspired me to go back to Tumblr. I met and befriended incredibly talented people in this fandom. And I’ve found a reason to be happy again because of it. The pain of losing my big sister still aches, and I miss her more each passing day, but I know she’d tell me to get off my ass and do what made me happy.

So for my birthday this weekend, I’ll share this with you guys to celebrate something that brought me joy through all this pain. ❤️‍🩹

Lemme explain the criteria for this real fast;

The episode had to have come from a current/ up to date show. It has to be fully completed!

The episodes have to catch my interest and the plot needs to be gripping! The angstier the better!

Any of the series episodes are candidates for a win! Except for certain ones that I’d rather not watch 🤣

SPOILERS BEWARE! Cuz… well, I dunno who’s finished the shows and I don’t wanna ruin the surprise for others!

Onto the list proper! Starting with the series that started it all: 1987!

The Maltese Hamster ( Season 3 Ep. 4 ) An excellent Donatello solo episode that takes the tone of a detective noir movie, but keeping the fun vibe of the show! Donnie gets to take center stage for once, April gets to use a laser gun, and the shift in tone sets the mood really well! It’s downright harrowing to watch a building collapse on Donnie and see him limping away from the scene in agony, passing out at Irma’s feet, trying to save his brothers despite the odds. Donnie’s my favorite turtle for a reason!

Raphael Meets His Match ( Season 4 Ep. 17 ) The first appearance of Mona Lisa, and I can see why the fans adore this ship so much! The chemistry between Mona and Raph throughout this one episode is really telling of how impactful one character can be to a franchise! Mona is really fun! She’s not just a token ‘girl character’ trope or an archetype, she can handle herself and kick ass alongside the turtles, plus she and Raph have some pretty witty banter together!

Beware The Lotus ( Season 3 Ep. 28 ) The introduction of Lotus Blossom! It’s speculated that the inspiration for Karai came from Lotus! Lotus and Leo had great chemistry together, it's a shame we only got two episodes to spend with her. She really is an interesting character with loads of story potential about finding your place in the world, discovering who you are, changing your destiny to make it what you want. This is me basically saying I am now part of the Lotus Blossom Fan Club.

Cowabunga, Shredhead! ( Season 3 Ep. 18 ) This is one of the fan favorite episodes, and after I watched it for the first time I could not stop laughing. James Avery does his best Mikey impression while playing the over the top Shredder, and everyone just accepts it??? It’s downright genius! The meme material from this one is plentiful!

Michelangelo Meets Mondo Gecko ( Season 5 Ep. 4 ) The introduction of Mondo himself, and he’s got a really cool design! On first viewing I was pleasantly surprised by his unique color scheme and his character! He’s a bad guy that gets a redemption arc by the end of the episode! I was rooting for him the whole time! It was this debut that made me adore Mondo, and he’s since become my favorite mutant character of the franchise!

Honorable Mentions are Donatello’s Duplicate and Turtlemaniac!

Next up is a controversial one, but I gotta be honest… ‘03 isn’t my favorite series for a lot of reasons, but I will admit! When this series had fantastic episodes, they were AMAZING. So I gotta give credit when due and give kudos to these wins!

The Shredder Strikes Back Parts One and Two ( Season 1 Episodes 17-18 ) Nothing really tops how good this show was in the first season, and these episodes take the comic storyline of Leo’s beatdown and bring it to life masterfully. For Leo’s segments of part one it’s spent mostly with no dialogue— the animation and music carrying how serious the scene is as Leo has to fight for his life against the Foot and how desperate he becomes as he grows weaker and weaker. The second episode is non-stop action as the rest of the turtles, Splinter, April and Casey have to fend off the Foot and Shredder as they fight for their lives in the antique shop. This is one of Michael Sinterniklass’s BEST performances as Leo in these episodes. The stakes are higher than ever before, the animation is gorgeous, and everyone gives it their all for this epic mid-season finale.

Same As It Never Was ( Season 3 Ep. 21 ) This is the episode I would tell people to watch if they think TMNT is just kiddie trash.

Bad Blood ( Season 6 Ep. 12 ) Probably the Fast Forward concept I wish got expanded on instead of giving it two standalone stories and dropping it entirely. It’s a cool idea that I wish got touched upon more often because, yeah, what would evil clones of the turtles look like? What kind of abilities could they have? There’s infinite possibilities! I could live without the new catchphrase ‘It's Ninja Time’ though. While Fast Forward is flawed, this episode was the one I thoroughly liked!

Insane in the Membrane ( Season 4 Ep. 19 ) The infamously banned episode, and all I have to say about it is two words. Holy. Shit.

The Real World Part One ( Season 3 Ep. 22 ) Any team-up with Usagi Yojimbo is a good one, and this was such a delight! It’s loosely based on one of the Usagi stories from the comics, and I loved how badass they made both Usagi and Tomoe! Leo and Usagi have great chemistry as always, and you can tell they have a strong bond with one another as warriors! Or boyfriends depending on how you interpret their relationship but honestly I totally see where everyone is coming from, THESE TWO ARE ADORABLE DORKS.

Next up is my all-time favorite incarnation of the franchise, 2012!! I have A LOT to say about so many of the episodes but alas, I could only choose five to discuss. One day… one day I shall make a thesis about it 🤣 for now however, here’s my top five faves from this series!

The Yojimbo Trilogy ( Season 5 Episodes 7-9 ) Oh. My. God. YES. The love letter to Stan Sakai’s comics, the beautiful homage to vintage Japanese cinema with the camera framework and action, and OH MY LORD, THE COLORS AND SHADING DURING USAGI’S FIGHT WITH JAY IN THE FINALE???? THAT’S CINEMA! Excellent voice acting by Yuki Matsuzaki, which was his first English speaking role and personally chosen by Sakai himself to play the ronin rabbit! My only complaint is that I wish we’d gotten more of the Yojimbo characters in here, like Tomoe or Gen! Otherwise I can watch all three of these episodes on repeat and always get excited!

Lone Rat and Cubs ( Season 5 Ep. 10 ) The final appearance of Splinter, the episode Kevin Eastman wrote, and a beautiful send-off to this character. It’s a flashback, yes, but this is the episode we get to see Yoshi adapting to his mutation as a rat, raising his boys, trying to be a good father and struggling to survive from the Krang. It’s a part of his life we rarely ever get to see, and this episode shows us why he was a great father. Basically it's a try not to cry challenge. For me, THIS episode is the series finale because it’s just a perfect conclusion to Splinter and his story.

Requiem/Owari ( Season 4 Episodes 25-26 ) The finale to the overall series, the finale to this overarching story, and it’s just as heartbreaking and suspenseful as you’d expect. The writers don't hold back their punches, and it shows that the gloves have finally come off. The characters we’ve come to love and care for are at their breaking point, the Shredder is the most threatening he’s ever been, and the team decides it’s time to put the monster down for good. Whoever thinks this show was just ‘kiddie trash’ needs to be sat down and shown this two-parter, because GODDAMN. Ciro Nieli treated this with so much care and respect. I cannot help but adore the team who put this together because the stakes have been raised to an all-time high, and the final showdown between Shredder and the turtles here is hair-raising, all reaching its climax when Leonardo finishes Oroku Saki by beheading him. It’s powerful, it’s devastating, and it’s a damn excellent showcase of why this series was the best iteration of the franchise to date.

The Fourfold Trap ( Season 3 Ep. 23 ) Yet another homage to a horror movie, only this time it’s a lot more intense. Based on Saw, this episode makes you sit on the edge of your seat as you can only hope that the turtles will escape the traps Karai’s put them in. It’s all nerve wracking to watch on a first viewing experience, POOR DONNIE OH MY GOD, CAN WE STOP PUTTING THIS BOY IN ELECTROCUTION DEVICES???? He still manages to create a plan to save his brothers even while he’s being electrocuted! Also, SPLINTER IS BEST RAT DAD. This episode will teach you the meaning of ‘angsty dread’ and ‘overwhelming anxiety.’

Trans-Dimensional Turtles ( Season 4 Ep. 10 ) THE TURTLES FOREVER WE DESERVED BUT WE DIDN'T GET UNTIL CIRO NIELI HOOKED US UP WITH THE BEST CROSSOVER WE’VE EVER BEEN BLESSED WITH! The OG turtles are all so much fun to see again both in and out of 2D, Gilbert Godfried is always a delight, the 2012 turtles in traditional 2D animation is awesome, and ALL THE OG VOICE ACTORS ARE HERE AND CLEARLY HAVING THE TIMES OF THEIR LIVES. THE ROB PAULSEN JOKE IS LITERALLY A BLESSING XD I only wish it had been longer!

Honorable Mentions are Slash and Destroy, Pizza-Face, Within the Woods and Mutant Gangland!

And rounding it off is the last— but certainly not least— series, Rise!! I adore this one!! It’s right behind 2012 as my favorite TMNT series just for the stellar animation!! It’s such a shame that this one had to end so unfairly, but today I’m giving it the love it deserves!! Please note that I have yet to complete season two of ROTTMNT cuz my life has been crazy hectic and I haven’t had the time, but once I do, I’ll go back and update this section if I find more episodes I liked!

Raph’s Ride Along ( Season 2 Ep. 8A ) Ummmmmm the 2012 VA’s playing parody versions of their turtles as yokai criminals??? HELL YEAH. If only they got Astin to play a character though! Then we would’ve had a reverse Turtles Forever reunion! I came out of this episode really loving the Mud Dogz as characters and wanting more, especially Dastardly Danny cuz Rob Paulsen is always a win! Too bad this show got canned before we could really get to know these guys. BUT HEY! That’s what the fandom is for! 🤣

Insane in the Mama Train ( Season 1 Episode 25 ) When I watched this series blind, this episode blew my mind. Seeing something so well done had me screaming in joy with how expertly this episode was crafted. The stellar action choreography, the great comedic elements splashed in to lighten the tense mood, the ANIMATION OH MY LORD. Disney, take notes. And that ending leaves a pit in my stomach every time, like OOOOF, those expressions! That sudden tonal swap!

Mystic Library ( Season 1, Ep. 20A ) Probably my favorite comedy episode! The timing for the jokes in this one specifically is so well done, and every single one had me in tears. I’ve been trying to commit Donnie’s library rap to memory but alas, I’ve been failing.

The Clothes Don’t Make The Turtle ( Season 2 Episode 10B ) THIS. MORE OF THIS PRETTY PLEASE. It's just SO MUCH FUN. I really don’t have anything else to say other than this one is a great treat, also, the reanimated fan cut of this is spectacular!!

Snow Day ( Season 1 Ep. 23B ) This, for me, is the Christmas special of the series even though it’s in no way related to the holiday or has anything to do with it BUT I DON’T CARE LET ME DREAM. I love this one for the adorable interactions and the bonding! Seeing the characters goofing off and having fun, enjoying the weather and spending time together outside of the angst? I CRAVE FLUFF LIKE THIS.

And Tada! There it is! I hope you liked this!! It was tons of fun to compile all my favorite episodes into one project and share my thoughts! This fandom has been nothing but fantastic and I’m proud to be in it!

i'm 32. i've never had an abortion. i grew up moving around the world. at all points of my life, i have always, always, considered in the back of my mind what i would do if i needed one. college in particular stressed me out—from 2009–2013, i lived in a rural small town that didn't have an abortion provider, just one of those malicious "crisis pregnancy centers" that PRETEND to provide options but really guilt and shame and lie to people with uteruses to deny them care.

so i always made sure to know where the closest abortion provider was. my friends and i talked about this, shared our individual plans with each other. at the time, it was a good 2 hour drive away, and i didn't have a license, let alone a car. but i did have older siblings and friends that i knew i could rely on. people i could turn to if i really needed help. my fears at the time mostly surrounded potentially having to reveal any personal details about my private life to them—i have a hard time asking for help, and tend not to share my thoughts or emotions with others, especially family (case in point, i almost posted this on twitter but then DIDN'T bc my sister and brother follow me). i'm in therapy, i'm working on it!!—but i never worried about being able to access abortion care.

i've never had an abortion, but i did have a miscarriage. i was 18 and i didn't even realize i was pregnant. my miscarriage was, thankfully, early and painless and i didn't know what it was until my period came for real and i spoke with my OBGYN about what happened.

i think about that 18 year old version of me all the time. i had just finished my freshman year of college. i had ended things with the guy bc i was hoping to (and would shortly) get back together with my other ex. i was more concerned with watching the latest true blood episode and meeting up with my friends still in high school at their after-prom, than with worrying about whether or not the guy at college had knocked me up.

abortion in austria (where i was at the time) has been fully legalized since 1975. if i had not had a miscarriage, i would have had options. if i had not realized until later in that summer, once we were back in the states, i would have had to have an incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting conversation with my conservative parents. but even then, i know, i would have had options. miscarriage for many people is a traumatic event. a painful loss, both emotionally and physically. for me, it was a blessing. but even if it hadn't have happened, i know i would have an abortion.

reading the latest NYT article (free link!!) about the dobbs decision fucking kills me. i keep having to stop. i keep welling up with tears. these 5 justices calculatingly (and at least some of of them, i believe, maliciously) stripped the country of roe v. wade. they turned back the clock and denied millions of people access to safe abortion, to their right to choose, to their bodily autonomy. just because i never had an abortion does not mean that this loss is felt any less keenly.

i find, time and time again, that i do not understand how some people go through this world and their life seemingly looking for ways to harm others. seeking to strip them of their rights. to deny them their humanity. i cannot comprehend how they seem to take glee in punishing people they view as other for the v basic fact that they exist.

this is long and i don't even know what point i'm making except for: i am so grateful for the fact that when i was 18, i had options, and i am so very, very, very fucking sad for the fact that there are 18 year olds today (and 20 year olds, and 28 year olds, and 15 year olds, and 36 year olds, and WHATEVER) who are being denied their right to choose. it's not fair. it isn't right. i want, so desperately, to change this.

and now the plea: please vote. please care. please advocate and donate and protest and be loud and be heard and demand better rights for yourself and others. please consider the courts when you cast your ballot: not just the supreme court, but the lower courts as well. if you don't, there will only be more decisions like this, the consequences of which will continue to ripple out for years on end causing harm to untold numbers of people.

Episode 5: Mother, Mother - Part 1

Scene 1 - Inside 28 Windslar

[Audreyanna and Evelyn lie sleeping.]

Alarm clock at 7:30 AM: bzzt! bzzt! bzzt!

Audreyanna (giving Evelyn a wet smooch): You’re in a good mood today.

Evelyn: A day off will do that to anyone. And no kissing before you brush your teeth, remember?

Audreyanna: [sighs} Fine, I’m going.

Evelyn: Or sighing.

[Audreyanna enters the bathroom and starts brushing her teeth.]

Evelyn (from the bedroom): It’s a nice day out. We should do something fun today! Windenburg’s going to get a lot of rain soon.

Audreyanna Can’t. Long day at work, then a dinner obligation that I unfortunately can’t skip.

Evelyn: Dinner? Ooh, who with?

Audreyanna (mumbling around her toothbrush): I’ll tell you later.

Evelyn: That’s too bad. I’ll see if any of the kids want to take a walk with me after school.

[Evelyn goes downstairs and looks at the house’s shared calendar.]

Evelyn: Or not, I guess. Soccer practice, shifts at work...“prior commitment”? Thanks for being cryptic, Josh.

Audreyanna (from upstairs): Can you—

Evelyn: Make you a cup? Sure, though I’m not sure how you heard me from all the way up there. Morning, Heather.

Heather (rushing out of the house): Sorry, can’t talk. Rani’s waiting for me so we can take the train together.

Evelyn: What about the others?

Heather: Already left!

Scene 2 - Outside 28 Windslar

[The two foster moms sit on a swinging bench on their patio, drinking coffee.]

Evelyn: Kids all gone?

Audreyanna: Yep. Don’t think we’ve had the house to ourselves since we moved in. I like it.

Evelyn: Forgot to tell you—I’m taking Bobbie to the petting zoo in a few hours.

Audreyanna: Let me guess: your brother begged you to get her out of the house?

Evelyn: Yeah, but I don’t blame him. She’s antsy to start school, but she has to wait until the fall. That’s forever to a five-year-old.

Audreyanna: No kidding.

Evelyn: And now it’s my turn to guess. You’re having dinner with your dad, aren’t you?

[Audreyanna is silent.]

Evelyn: Busted.

Audreyanna: It’s not what you think, okay? We haven’t spoken since Christmas. I’m still low-contact. A dinner is...a concession.

Evelyn (sipping from her mug): Mm.

Audreyanna: A way to keep him at a respectable distance. I don’t want him to come poking around in my life. You remember how that went last time.

Evelyn: Audreyanna, you’re almost fifty.

Audreyanna: Don’t I know it.

Evelyn: I’m just saying that, at this point, you can put your foot down. We’re not little girls anymore.

Audreyanna (pulling Evelyn to rest against her chest): C’mere. You’re too far away.

Evelyn: Trying to be cute isn’t going to change my mind.

Audreyanna (pausing before speaking): You’re right, okay? But I need to do this on my own time. Ever since Mom died, the thought of finally pulling away has been too painful for me to even think about.

Evelyn: I could come with you, if you’d like.

[Audreyanna snorts.]

Evelyn: Hey, don’t laugh. Anyone facing down dinner with your father and Brylee needs major moral support.

Audreyanna: I appreciate the offer. Honest. But this is something I need to do on my own. And I love you, babe, but even you can’t handle Brylee.

Evelyn: Hmph. That’s what you think.

My Yuuji Itadori theory

I have only read some of the manga and am currently up to date on the anime as of this original post date of 11/28/23.

So based purely on what I have seen from the anime….

I believe Yuuji has a secret power/technique that no one knows about. The best way for me to explain this power is Yuuji is able to be or unlock or create what ever a person needs him to be. The level of severity to the power affects could depend on Yuuji’s cursed energy level or the person he is ‘against’.

I call this power synergy or the ability to synergize with someone.

So hear me out as I explain more with anime spoilers.

I’ll start listing the people I believe he has synergized with in an order that might only make sense to me.

Todo Aoi

The man looking for a best friend that loves tall thiccck women. Of course he and Yuuji would hit it off and become best friends but… it happened too fast right? Todo literally saw memories of him and Yuuji as best friends in junior high. After that these two are able to fight together completely in sync. Okay maybe Todo is the weird one, I could write it off as that at first but then…

Choso

Somehow, right before choso is about to kill Yuuji, memories that didn’t exist flooded his mind. Memories that convince him Yuuji Itadori is his younger brother. When the only thing Choso wanted was his younger brothers back… bing bang boom! Memory override of reality? I can only assume in the upcoming episodes Choso is gonna fight to save his new little brother Yuuji.

But maybe that is a power of Sukuna’s? Like who know what that man can really do. We all have ideas about that. But…. But what if this power of Yuuji’s allowed him to become Sukuna’s vessel?

Sukuna

He was a curse with out a body, until one of his last remaining pieces was eaten by a seemingly ordinary kid? Who shouldn’t have been able to withstand the bodily stress of taking Sukuna’s cursed energy from the finger but also had the ability to control and repress the king of curses? So what if Yuuji was physically strong, he had no experience with cursed energy. Sukuna needed a strong, durable vessel, and Yuuji became that for him.

Nanami Kento

He was closed off since his best friend (some of you even think lover) died as a jujutsu sorcerer. He ran away from the jujutsu life only to come back thinking about a job worth doing. Nanami needed someone like his friend, strong hearted, kind, wanting to help others. Yuuji was that but there is more to this synergy with Nanami. In Nanami’s final moments he was worried his lingering regrets would become a curse. Yuuji comes and a vision of his passed on friend appears in front of him gesturing to Yuuji, reminding him to be strong for those he will leave behind and be able to rest in piece knowing that there are others to continue fighting. There could be more implications to seeing Yuuji and the dead friend at the end but I need to rewatch a few more times to really get it. The point is Yuuji appears, important vision happens.

Jogo

Technically Yuuji never met Jogo but his body did. I believe that the final vision Jogo has at the time of his death was Yuuji’s power. Sukuna would probably never admit that he believed Jogo was strong but that was what Jogo needed to be told, he was strong. To be told his existence had value, as a curse from the king of curses.

Those are the ones with the most evidence but I can add more with some of the more subtle cases too later.

The Chay Rewatch Ep 5

As part of my KP Rewatch, I’m going to be commenting on each episode and analyzing the different Chay scenes. He’s my favorite character, and I thought I’d put down my thoughts (as well as timestamps for his scenes) as a fun way to express that.

Time 4:58-7:56 - The Bread Sticks

Yes this isn’t a Chay scene, but at this point I’m analyzing Kim and Chay scenes.

Kim’s Outfit: A classic Kim look with the leather jacket – black this time at least- and the white pants. Someone please take those white pants away from him.

Not Kim taking two seconds to confirm he’s alone in the office before practically jumping to searching for clues. He'd love escape rooms so much.

IDK if this ever gets confirmed, but those handprints belong to baby Porsche and baby Porchay right? The red paint is so ominous.

Korn, I think, definitely likes Kim the most out of his three sons. He doesn't trust him, but he sees how Kim attempts to play the game his own way. Kim, unlike Kinn and Khun, is suspicious of everything, an amazing fighter, and establishing himself on his own. Kim makes an amazing chess piece. If Korn could control him, he’d be set.

Kim, your interrogation is not subtle at all, and Korn knows it. But, he allows it because Kim expressing interest in the family makes it easier for him to draw his youngest back into the fold. But, that doesn’t mean he trusts his son.

“I’m more interested in what you’re thinking.” – cue the dramatic music. This honestly makes me question why Kim is investigating his father. The show never really gives us a motive for that, nothing to clearly explain what starts this obsession. Kim is obviously paranoid and suspicious of everything, but he got out of the family compound, and he’s living on his own. Usually that would mean you want nothing to do with the family, but Kim actively searches out what his father has done.

Time: 11:54 – 13:53 – Talking & not talking at the carp pond

The quick look at Kim that Khun does just before he walks on screen after quietly waiting for him is so meaningful. Khun is never quiet. But, he knows that Kim never comes home and treats him like a wild animal letting his youngest brother come to him. Once he’s acknowledged that’s when Khun gets loud.

Kim, your ass ain’t subtle. His casual walk by the carp pond that isn’t near the front entrance or garage. You wanted to check in on your brother just as much as your brother wants to check in on you. The lack of communication in this household

How in the hell did Kim get Chay’s phone number? And why is Chay just answering random numbers late at night?

Chay probably thought his wildest dream had come true :(

Time: 30:40 – 38:28 - Chay didn’t even get to eat the snacks

Chay’s outfit: so begins the plaid shirt era. The blue looks good on him and it matches the subtle blue flowers on Kim’s jacket. He looks so soft.

Kim’s outfit: the blood-red velvet bomber jacket is such a good look on him! This is a Wik outfit through and through. Kim knows Chay is obsessed with Wik, so Wik is what Kim is going to give him. Why did this style only appear in one episode! Why is almost every other jacket a leather jacket! I need to know what his shirt says desperately. I need to analyze it.

Kim preparing snacks, sorry sir but do you want Chay to fall in love with you right now? Giving someone food is an act of love (to me at least), and as a hungry teenager definitely to Porchay as well.

Chay responding that it seems fun when questioned why he wants to study music. Yes, baby boy enjoy what you want to do in life. No joke Kim is not used to this level of blatant honesty. Chay has nothing to hide and why should he? He likes music and it's fun. That’s it.

“Let’s do it on your brother.” – Kim you are not slick. This is embarrassing!

CHAY’S HEAD TILT WHEN HE’S QUESTIONING HOW KIM KNOWS ABOUT PORSCHE! I AM UNWELL

Anyways, no Chay please don’t accept that awful explanation. I know Kim didn’t call you out for the all sides comment, but please! Stranger Danger! You can see Chay’s brain working through the excuses of Okay he let me be weird I have to let him be weird now because maybe he did see it, maybe this isn’t so weird. Kim, you are so lucky Chay likes you enough to be colorblind.

“I still feel like I can’t be like him.” – that’s a little heartbreaking considering Chay desperately wants to take some of the burden off of Porsche. Porsche who to Chay is the rock his whole life is built on.

I’m sorry Chay just giving Kim his phone. Are you not scared he’ll see your Wik stan account or your AO3 Chay?

The photos they chose for Chay’s catalogue are so cute. Why did I just now only notice that Porsche’s red shirt has a ton of cats on it? How much do you wanna bet that was a gift from Chay?

The texts to Porsche break my heart. Chay obviously knows his brother won’t respond, but he still needs the catharsis of talking to him because that was their dynamic before. They were always open and always there for each other

Chay has so much self-confidence and power. He wrote something in minutes and sees that his idol is trying to ditch him, but he still goes hold on mister please listen to what I wrote. That’s what being raised by bad bitch, don’t think about consequences, love is not a weakness Porsche Kittisawat is like.

You can see Kim realize that this kid is good and start screaming in his head before he joins in. Kim loves music, and even though every bit of him is screaming get this kid out he’s not useful, he can’t help but break open just a little bit

Chay practicing so hard on his guitar! He really does love music and genuinely finds it fun!

The way he freezes when he see Porsche and then just runs to him! He missed his brother so much. He’s definitely been so lonely without Porsche, but he doesn’t show it to his brother.

The brother bonding montage. You can tell these two characters only ever had each other.

Chay’s Outfit: Chay is wearing a Tanjiro from Demon Slayer shirt (I would recognize that haori print anywhere), which holy shit costuming y’all are so wild for this one. Tanjiro sacrificing everything after his family died and Nezuko his sole surviving sibling becoming a demon. The green shorts paired with it are cute.

Chay going off on a school trip after being forced to by Porsche is so telling. Porsche doesn’t see his worth in other people’s lives. Chay desperately misses his brother, but allows Porsche to persuade him because it makes Porsche happy to see Chay live a good life, one that Porsche never got a chance to have.

Overall Chay Rating (Chrating): I’m going to give this episode an A.

I love the different sides we get to see of Chay here with both Kim and Porsche. He’s such a bright person. He’s not as naïve as some people think. He definitely saw Kim’s weird thing about Porsche, but he doesn’t see the worst in people and moves past it. He’s so happy seeing Porsche even though Porsche essentially abandoning him had to hurt. He chooses to be happy that his brother is home.

the hard choice | ready, set, love

warnings: spoilers for the drama (last episode), lots of angst.

summary — my take on the last episode of “ready, set, love” because i wish we knew what son was thinking at the end (and i really love them and can't let go yet).

"I'm not going."

Everyone stopped short in their tracks, gazes filled with questions that were too difficult to voice. Day stared at Almond, brows furrowed head cocked. Don't do this, her pleading gaze said.

Son didn't bother trying to dissuade Almond. He could see it in his brother's eyes—were they even brothers? For they were unrelated by blood, yet brought up together. Almond's jaw was dead set, but his eyes were filled with desperation. Don't make me choose, he implored Day.

Son fought the urge to cross his arms as he stared Almond down. Almond didn't spare him a single glance, but Valentine tugged on his arm, forcing him to look at her.

"Please come with us. I'm begging you."

"I... can't." Almond's voice broke, and Son saw the monster in him fighting desperately, the part of him that wanted to leave warring his his need to comply with the rules. Because even since they were kids, Almond had always been the law-abiding one, the oldest, the most responsible. The one who hated being late and always saw through their lies, who discouraged all of their rebellious acts.

Most people had a rebellious phase in their teenage years. Son definitely had had one, though not half as bad as Max’s. The latter had always felt the need to act up more than Son, always wanting to be the one in the spotlight. Butt it was difficult when the person he was fighting for attention with was the perfect, sought-after, dream son Son. Son was aware of Max’s attention-seeking tendencies, but he assumed that letting Max win would hurt his pride more than if he didn't win.

However, in all 28 years of his life—or at least the 25 of those years that Son had been alive for—Almond had never been rebellious. He was a follower of rules, and when he had agreed to Day's plan, Son had been rightfully suspicious.

"He's never been one to break the rules. He's the one that's the most likely to discourage us from breaking the law, yet he's choosing to join us now. Why?" Son had asked Day.

"Why do you have to be so pessimistic? Can’t you just be happy that your older brother is on our side?" Day had replied, and Son had dropped the subject.

Well, look at where that left them now; Valentine clinging onto Almond's sleeve while Day and Paper hovered near the door of the van.

"I know what you did." Valentine looked like she was about to cry, her eyes brimming with tears, but—admirably, if you asked Son—not a single drop slid down her cheek. "I know you told Jenny about our plan."

The look of betrayed hurt on Day's face gave Son the push he needed to speak. If Almond didn't want to go with them, that was his choice. Even if Valentine was upset, she was Day's friend, not Son's. He had no qualms about taking Paper and Day out and away from that hellhole if it meant leaving Almond behind. They were already leaving two brothers behind, what was one more? Son could live with that.

But betraying them all? Innocent, naïve Paper, who had initially refused to believe that his mother might have been forced to give him away to the Farm? Day, who'd never loved Almond the way he loved her, but had chosen him again and again, giving up her chance with Son so this plan of theirs could succeed? Valentine, who'd gotten shot and risked everything she had, just to get them all out, including Almond?

If Almond had betrayed all of them, Son would speak. For Paper and Day, who were too stunned to. To give a voice to the pain in their hearts.

"How could you betray us? I had my suspicions when you agreed, but I never thought you'd sell us out."

"Let's please just go, Val. Leave him," Day said, having regained her composure.

"No. I can't. Haven't you wondered why I refuse to leave Almond, even after knowing he betrayed us?" Valentine's voice cracked. "He's my brother." Turning to Almond, she continued, "So, please, come with us. Your mother is searching for you—she has been, for your entire life. Your mother wants to meet you. She's waiting for you. Our mother is waiting. Please, come with us."

Almond shook his head, almost like he was trying to convince himself that he couldn't possibly go. "No, I can't. The Farm is my home." With that one sentence, Almond shattered all the remaining, fragile hope Son had harboured in his heart, leaving nothing but shards of piercing hurt in its wake.

To Son, the Farm had always been a prison, the physical manifestation of the government that had stolen his parents from him. But to Almond, the Farm was a place of luxury, one that had provided for all his needs, the home in which he had gown up. It would be cruel to force him to go; but it would be crueller to make the rest of them stay.

Day wrapped her arm around Valentine. "He's made his choice, Val. We have to go." As she turned, sorrowful eyes meeting Almond's, Son realised that maybe he was the reason Almond didn't want to come. He might not want to come just for his brothers, but if Day had chosen him instead, it might just be enough to make him go. Perhaps the knowledge that the girl he liked was in love with his brother was too heavy a truth for Almond to face every waking second.

Yet, no matter what consequences it entailed, Son would choose Day, every time, over and over again. Perhaps it was selfish of him. But he had grown up in a space where he had to fight for what he wanted, and he definitely wanted Day.

He'd like to believe Day wanted him too.

Paper climbed into the van, Valentine following behind and collapsing in the seat beside him. The tears had long since flowed past the barriers of her eyelids, streaming silently down her face.

Son was the last one into the van. Moments before he shut the door, he turned to see Almond, meeting those gentle eyes that had accompanied him for practically his entire life. In a fit of spite, he slammed the doors in Almond's face, looking away. He never wanted to see his brother again.

"It wasn't supposed to be like this," Paper whispered, staring blankly past Day.

It really wasn't. Not when Almond had always been the best big brother there was, the one who comforted them when they were down, who had taught Max how to cook and read Son stories so he could sleep at night. Not when Almond and Jin were close, so close people sometimes forgot they weren't biologically related. Not when Almond was the only one there for Paper when he was distraught hearing about how corrupt the government really was. Steady, mature, responsible Almond. It was never supposed to end like that.

"Tell me, Chun, if he doesn't come, then is everything I've done in vain?" Valentine asked. It was a question Son would never have been able to answer.

"He made his choice, Val. You can't decide for him. You did what you could." If those words had come from Son, they wouldn't have been half as comforting as they were coming from Chun. But when Chun said it in his gentle, matter-of-fact tone, Valentine seemed to accept it, sniffing softly.

Son looked at his brother, and his other brother's biological sister. The best friend of the girl he loved. And, of course, Day. All of them, broken shells of people who'd just had a part of them ripped out and left behind, just because Almond couldn't bear to leave. People who had been willing to make sacrifices to escape, but not losing Almond. Not that, on top of everything else.

And now, Son's girls—for he had come to think of Valentine as his as well, by some odd familial extension—and his brother were right in front of him, hurting. Because of one selfish choice Almond had made.

Son promised that regardless of what was to come, he would never leave them like that. He could never.

In his heart, he swore it on his life.

We've wrapped up the section based on episode 2 and are already on to episode 3. GX finally gave me the chance to play around with stitching together unrelated episodes and condensing the timeline, something I don't really get to do as much with DM because of the tournament structure requiring adapting every episode in chronological order.

But GX, my dear sweet beloved GX, lets me go absolutely ham. Due to trying to cover as much of the show as possible without taking too much time away from the main comic, I end up writing longer sessions that cover way more episodes. Like my notes for Turn 3 literally says it'll be based on "Episodes 24-28, plus 13, 20, and potentially more".

It's incredibly fun to write, like a giant puzzle where I have to try and figure out how everything fits together.

Since out of character everyone knows that Fubuki is Atticus's character and thus going to show up eventually, Alexis is going to milk the dead brother thing for all she can while she still has the chance.

😎 So I have a couple of thoughts. Before I continue I must confess I haven’t read the newest fic vulture has written yet . I am not feeling too great so I am taking it easy , meaning I am reading more ….. wholesome fics as my body isn’t ready for SIN . And our lovely Vulture does sin very well ( they are the god of lust after all) so I must recover before I go forth on this sinful journey. I have been having a bunch of headaches and I am also currently being visited by…. let’s say “ aunt Flo” . I have had my headaches triggered by all the cleaning supplies and bleach at work ( plus feeling all dizzy and icky…… AND adding “ aunt flo” ontop of all THAT ) so now I have been having on and off headaches , queasy / dizziness and “ aunt flo” symptoms. Remember I am very prone to headaches and migraines, whenever I have an “ episode” of a bad headache or a migraine , I am sooo drained and wiped out afterwards so I have also been dealing with that too . Right now it’s just my headache that is causing the most problems. Enough complaining , now on to the wholesome thoughts.

I have been working on writing a letter to my nephew , it’s for his baptism and I am the godmother . I have mentioned before that he and his family live sooo far away , so I wanted to do a little something …. both as a gift for the baptism and something that he can always look at and know that even if I am sooo far away from him . His auntie/ godmother loves him sooo much and that if he ever needs me I am there for him ALWAYS. I am also giving him two books ( dr. Seuss and a spider- man book) , and lastly a little lamb stuffy . We are doing a family cookout the 27 and the baptism is the 28 of June. I am going dress shopping soon for the baptism.

I am damn sure that SB did the EXACT same thing , writing a letter for his nephew, getting him books and a stuffed toy. I think I mentioned that Sara named SB a godparent. SB RAN to the store to get “ fancy” clothes for the baptism ….. it wasn’t until Nat was laughing ( not in a mean way ) at them and shaking her head saying “ You do know you can just wear your dress uniform right?” ….. SB forgot ok . The golden retriever got too excited and just wanted to look good for their little buddy’s big day . Now is the question, is Nat named the godmother? ….. I am sure she is invited to the ceremony but is Nat apart of it and would she be in her dress uniform or a ACTUAL dress? I am sure that there is a HUGE cookout the day before also , EVERYONE and their brother is there for the celebration.

In the DK universe because of R’s heightened senses I would think that she would be EXTREMELY sensitive towards the cleaners and chemicals used in cleaning ( ESPECIALLY bleach) . It makes her all dizzy , giving her a icky queasy feeling , plus even though she was super rich and NEVER around the cleaning supplies stuff when she was young it was probably VASTLY different … she grew and saw the evolution of cleaning supplies/ products. She probably HATES this products with a BURNING passion. I also fully believe that R would go to Kit now that they have reunited whenever she isn’t feeling well, in pain ( so when she is typically on her period) or in general discomfort, because he was and still is a GREAT source of comfort and support for R . I am imagining her wrapped up in a cozy soft blue blanket , in her most comfortable clothes shuffling to the couch Kit in sitting on watching tv . She plops down right next to him wrapping both them both up in the blanket COMPLETELY curled up around Kit and borrowed into him and watching tv with him…. Later on she is sleeping so peacefully on his chest . I also think that the really young students would notice that something is up with R or that R wasn’t “ feeling too well” and that she “ had a lot of invisible owies” going on , so they would let R borrow their stuffed animals because they make the students feel better whenever they don’t feel good. The younger students also tell the older students ( especially Rogue and Kitty ) or the adults ( especially Nat , Jean and Storm ) so that those people can help R .

Hmmm, I don't know if Sgt Nat would be the godmother, but she would definitely be invited to the ceremony. She would probably be a little nervous to be around SB's friends and family, but she would do it for SB. ♥

Oh yes, that's an interesting thought. Wolvie!R is very sensitive to man-made chemicals. It's one reason why Nat refuses to use them to clean their bedroom and personal space in the mansion. Only all-natural ingredients so it doesn't upset R :) But I'm sure the kids would also take notice that R is never around on "cleaning day" and that she always seems ill, so they rally together to start using natural products on the WHOLE mansion.

You stare at your phone, watching the screen glitch for a few more moments before it abruptly shuts off. And stays off. You try to turn it back on, but it remains a dark brick in your hands.

Was… was that it? Was it… over?

Once more, you try to turn it on, but it doesn't work. And for some reason, it calms the storm of panic inside you.

“Oh, holy fucking shit,” you breathe out.

It really must have been some kind of bug or virus, then, with the way it just killed your phone. And you probably did doze for a bit while playing and that’s when you must have dreamed the part with Minghao and Hansol.

Or maybe this last week of barely getting any sleep messed with you more than you'd realized. Maybe this whole entire thing was an exhaustion-induced hallucination.

Your sigh of relief stutters out of your chest, and you nearly choke on it.

Breathing still ragged from earlier, you take a few moments to calm down and wipe the tears from your face.

I am going to catch up on all the sleep I missed, you swear to yourself, sending up as many prayers of thanks as you can when you feel the train start to slow beneath you.

Snagging your duffle bag with one hand and gripping your dead phone in the other, you quickly scramble to the door, impatient to finally get off of this fucking train.

And as soon as I can borrow my brother's phone, you think, I am going to call Channie and give him the scolding of a lifetime.

It takes a few more minutes, your fingers and toes tapping along to the anxiety rumbling under your skin, but the train finally comes to a groaning halt at the station. The doors aren't even halfway open before you shove your way through them and bolt through the station and down the front steps.

No one spares you a glance.

You don't have to look long before you see your brother waiting for you near one of the rows of potted plants.

Overwhelmed, you start to sprint, dropping your duffle bag so that you can throw your arms around Jihyun’s shoulders with ease. “Jihyunie!”

“What the fuck?!” Jihyun yelps, but it isn’t warm or fond or faux-annoyed like you would’ve expected. It’s harsh, even a little angry, and you quickly scramble back, worried that maybe you'd accidentally hurt him.

“Shit, sorry, are you okay? I was just so excited to see you that I—”

“Do I know you?”

The world grinds to a halt.

You stare, and stare, and your phone slips between suddenly-numb fingers.

There’s a distinct crack as it hits the ground before bouncing somewhere to your right — a crack that echoes the one inside your chest.

Jihyun’s eyes hold no recognition as he looks back at you, and all you can feel is cold, cold, cold.

“Jihyunie,” you try with a croak. “Jihyunie, it’s me. It’s Y/n.”

At the sound of your name, Jihyun closes his eyes with a wince, shaking his head as if to clear it. When he opens them again, he looks around, confused.

“Jihyunie?” you try again, but Jihyun doesn’t acknowledge you, eyes roaming over you like you aren't even there.

Like you never were.

The “no” that leaves your lips feels punched out of you.

Jihyun shakes his head again, murmurs, “What the fuck am I at the train station for?”

“For me,” you wheeze. “You’re here for me, for your big sibling. Jihyunie, please—” You reach out to grab him, but instead of meeting skin and fabric, your hand phases through Jihyun’s arm like it’s made of water.

And now your body is made of ice, an arctic wind replacing the air in your lungs. You're not so sure you're even breathing.

You're not so sure it matters when Jihyun looks straight through you one more time before shrugging, turning around, and walking away.

Your hand is still hanging in the air where you'd reached for your brother, and a tiny part of you is fascinated by the way it seems to be fading right before your eyes, starting at the tips of your fingers and spreading up your arm.

The bigger part of you is too numb to care.

You think you fall to your knees, but it’s hard to tell when you don't have knees anymore. A single tear freezes on your cheek as you watch the silhouette of your baby brother walk away...

...and then you are no more.
