AT LONG LAST: the interview translations from the Baten Kaitos artbook are finally finished with conversations with composer Motoi Sakuraba and the Japanese voice cast. (If you haven't checked it out previously, this document also contains translations of interviews with illustrator Nakaba Higurashi, scriptwriter Masato Kato, and the producers & directors.)

For many, the interview with Sakuraba will be the highlight, but I personally found most memorable this spoilery bit below the cut from Kalas's Japanese voice actor Kousuke Toriumi, which explains precisely why he was chosen for the role:

In the middle of the story, there's a scene where you betray your comrades; your performance there must have been difficult, wasn't it? Toriumi: I didn't think it was particularly tough! I actually ended up enjoying that scene itself, and when I read it, I thought, "oh, wow, I betrayed them!! Yahoo!"

Congratulations, you absolute, perfectly-cast dick.

can we all just collectively forget and ignore the first two episodes of junjou romantica.. ESPECIALLY the first one. i'm one for acknowledging the flaws this show has as it's literally my hyper-fixation and has been for many years, but some of the authors choices cross the line unfortunately like many others (especially at the time) with the due fact to what other people have said and using common, moral knowledge.

The Japanese production celebrated its 40th anniversary today, 11 November 2023, in Nagoya!

The first photo was taken last month (judging by the cast), and the following are all from today's anniversary performance.

Okay my review of the Marigold presser is that if you already aren't or have never been passionate about Stardom they 100% did not show anything new or different enough from that to be exciting, but if you might have interest in Somehow Even More Stardom like me I'm cautiously optimistic, with a guarantee of absolutely more of Rossy's complete bullshit than ever given it's not even day one yet and he absolutely decimated the Act Wres roster + poached Fuka back up to boot. Don't get me wrong Act Wres management sucks and probably barely pays those girls Bret Hart voice don't feel sorry for him but jesus christ dude. Anyway I never watched shit for Rossy and at the end of the day that's a roster I will extremely follow.

As soon as it broke that Act Wres got raided I figured Sumikawa and Matsui were gone but Kouki and Chika Goto are going to be unbelievable mega stars oh my god holy shit. They're still going to Stardom within like 3 years but fulltime wrestler Kouki is everything I ever could have asked for. She should kiss Utami frame 1 of the 1st show Rossy I would forgive everything are you listening to me HELLO
