If you were a transformer what would you transform into?

I have given it an awful lot of thought, and I hope you enjoy my answer. >> So, there are three angles I will be answering this from, all within a similar theme, but all with varying levels of limitation: 1. Real Earth Vehicles Only 2. Hypothetical Earth Vehicle 3. Cybertronian Vehicle >> In terms of overall themes, I picture my Transformers role as a Logistics, Transport and Technology specialist, carrying extra weapons, vehicles and smaller bots, or even just raw energon if needed. I would also have an array of technological equipment that provides backline support, and scouting potential. A flying vehicle with cargo space, for sure. In vehicle form, it will be a VTOL style aircraft with a lot of cargo space. While large in vehicle size, the empty space of the cargo hold will mean that I will still be a fairly average sized bot in robot form.

>> If we are picking only from the pool of real earth vehicles, I would have to go for the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey. I love the way it looks, the way its wings turn and unfold, the way its VTOL capabilities work, with the rotating propeller engines.

>> Expanding this concept out to hypothetical earthlike air vehicles, some form of in-wing ducted fan design would look super cool, ones that can rotate. The below image gives a vague outline of what I envision, only with more cargo room, maybe closer in shape to the Marvel Quinjet. This version would be faster, with auxiliary rear jets for extra forwards propulsion.

>> Finally, the cybertronian form, going full in on the sci fi, we're looking at a similar shape and design, but the VTOL turbofans have been replaced with more Sci-Fi Hover rings. The below image shows the sort I am picturing,t hough the below image also has a much skinnier hull than the form I would take. Picture the below image,b ut with a much bulkier body, and more wing surrounding the hover rings, and two sci fi plasma jets at the back.

>> In regards to how these would translate to the robot form, the rear tailwings and rear hull would fold down and split to form the feet, with jets at the ankles where applicable. The wings would become the arms, with the propellors/hover rings sticking up at the shoulders, allowing for basic robot-form flight. Dear Lord! It's a massacre!

I WANT IN ON THIS!

*bursts through the wall, impacts some grunt, instantly turning them into mist. *

*Somehow trips on an electric cord despite having ran through several hundred meters of solid mountain and a reinforced bunker wall*

*Slam headfirst into a second guy, vaporising their torso and leaving just their legs and head*

*exits out the other wall. 3 seconds pass after which the tailwing catches up and strips the skin off of two more scientists*

If you're wondering where this fever dream of a shitpost came from, death that I deservioli has been stuck in my head for 3 days now and I just came across the "own a musket for home defense" copypasta.

Mix that and the feral murder from the last comic page in the sleep deprived chaotic stupid melting pot that's my brain hole and you get something absolutely fucking horrendous that should never ever get posted non-anonymously.

Honestly, mood. This feels like my brain hyping myself up to draw all the scrapped panels before I realize I neither have the time nor skill to do it :,3

Right right, the roles/ story wouldn't be identical

I was actually thinking Ben in hiccups role more than ash (please stick with me here), because it's well established that hiccup carries a notepad around, much like ben does (small connection but still) and also his lack of speech could help him to slip away from the group more easily to study toothless without the group first noticing, plus I've always been a fan of how they show the mostly non-verbal communication between hiccup and toothless in that one montage and I think it'd just really suit Ben as he would probably be a master at communicating without speaking, like them both drawing in the sand (especially since, with the setting, they don't have phones so any speech would have to be written in his notebook)

The dragons would act as they do in the httyd movie expect the phantoms would be the things controlling them to attack the village to feed them (like that massive dragon is in the first film, except replace that with the centipede monster from the season 1 finale of sbg) and some phantoms will take the form of dragons occasionally

Logan would take fish legs role, not too big on combat (unless from a distance as he's surprisingly skilled with a bow n arrow) but he knows alot about the strengths and weaknesses of the dragons because of his studies

The twins are probably the furthest from an established role in the httyd film (even though I know there are those two twins, the personalities didn't really match too well) so I came up with the idea that Taylor is very skilled at making and repairing weapons, and Tyler using said weapons to help defend the village every night (Taylor will often join the fight aswell but she spends most of the time in the shop fixing weapons for those who need them), they also have a very personal grudge against all dragons because a dragon killed their dad when they were young (Tyler is in a very "all dragons are monsters" frame of mind and is determined to be top of the dragon fighting school thing idk what it's called, so when Ben starts excelling he gets very annoyed)

Ashlyn is incredible at combat, with her parents having trained her since she was young, she isn't too bothered (she is slightly annoyed, but she'll never tell anyone that) about where she places in the dragon fighting training but she does become curious when Ben begins to climb to the top (metaphorically) but she keeps that mostly to herself until Tyler mentions it - probably closest to Astrid in personality except without the anger

Aiden views every night fighting dragons as fun and he's ecstatic when his cousin starts to exceed, he does keep noticing how Ben seems to be at his side less and less during the day but he doesn't think too much about it (although he does keep pestering Ben on how he's excelled so fast, but he never properly gets an answer)

When trying to figure out the mechanics for toothless' tailwing (is that what it's called? Idk) Ben goes to Taylor for advice but using different examples so she hopefully doesn't suspect anything. Taylor is also the first to know about toothless, when Aiden enlists the group to help find his cousin because hes getting worried and "we cant lose the star student". Her immediate reaction is to tell Ben to slowly back away from the dragon and draw her dagger (admittedly while shaking, it's still a terrifying moment for her), and she's about to shout for Tyler when Ben starts to try explain whats happening. While it takes her a bit to warm up to the idea of dragons being docile (especially given her families history) she eventually starts helping Ben with even more ways to improve the tailwing.
