hi yeah so uh. surprise!! i have an omori bteam au. uh omori spoilers under the read more where i explain the character roles and other stuff abt the au so like if you wanna check out omori this is where you stop reading, i will not be holding back on the details

so this au was made because i realized omori and the new kid have similar plots so i was like yeah fuck it uhhh. character reasonings and other stuff are shown below

devon - sunny / omori : devon's the main reason kelsey died in new kid, sunny kicked off what spiraled into mari's death in omori. idk what the accident here is but it sure did happen and devon sure did close himself off from everyone!! uh he doesn't go full hikikomori like sunny does but he stops being active in his friends' lives and lives off in his own little world

mick - basil : was compliant in keeping quiet about the death. granted, mick didn't really do anything physically to aid devon in covering up the accidental murder, but he did keep quiet about it, and was clearly affected by it, much like basil is in omori. also basil and sunny are best friends, and mick and devon are best friends.

kelsey - mari : the victim of an accident. again, i'm not sure what the accident in the au is but it was, in fact, that, much like it is in new kid. kelsey is a bit more malicious towards devon?? actively getting him into trouble in the dream world and such. also in the real world kelsey is referred to as adam by pretty much everyone, aka the hc alive name me and my friend have for them.

millie - aubrey : a bit shakier on the parallel thing but there's a few. namely abandonment issues, millie has those before anything happens, and they get way worse after kelsey / adam dies, kinda like aubrey. she still has sarah though, at least. but yeah millie gets really pissed at devon and alec leading to the fight shown above.

alec - kel : alright this is where it goes from " actual parallels to the character " to " i am making this up as i go <33 " uhhh. really the only thing i can point to is the family structure ( since i hc julius to be alec's older brother, alec has the same family structure as kel : an older brother, and a younger sister ) and the favoritism from his parents. but yeah alec is the one to get devon back out of his house

julius - hero : prettyboy /j

in all seriousness though, this is mostly just because he's alec's older brother, and something something hero is kel's. though i can see julius charming enemies in the dream world. he's a lot nicer here than he is in canon though but that's probably because this has the same timeskip omori does, being 4 years, so he's matured quite a bit.

speaking of which yeah uh. 4 year timeskip is here so everyone is in their late teens ( devon is 18, millie, mick and alec are 19 ) except julius, who's 20. everyone in the dream world is closer to their usual looks while in the real world they're all a bit different ( at least fashion-wise. though alec DID finally fix his bangs. )

RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME

I have OSDD1b and I'm part of a system, a small piece of a whole. Basically, it's the old "many rats in a trenchcoat" thingy.

Because I can write I have decided this means I have to try my hand at writing novels, game writing, interactice stories and visual novels. Don't ask me where my projects are. I murder them routinely.

I used to be able to read 300 page books in a day. I'd just get so lost in the sauce. Now I'm lucky if I read a whole chapter. How I have fallen. 😔 (Trying to fix this by reading an hour at a time) Edit: it's working! Edit: um...

I walk like I'm being chased. I don't like being anywhere that isn't home, haha.

Prologue

300 A.D. Baekje, Pre-Korea

Hongjoong POV

"What are you?", she cries in fright

"Please my love. You don't have much time", I beg, "We are still under attack"

I hold my hand to her gaping bleeding wound, trying to stop the bleeding

"Hongjoong. Why are your eyes like that? What is wrong with your face?"

I am trying hard to repress the vampiric changing of my face but it is extremely hard with this much blood around me

I am not hungry, I do not want to feed on her

It is just the effect of smelling blood

"My love, please listen to me", I speak, "I can fix this"

"What are you Hongjoong?"

I look into the eyes of the woman I love more than my life

My Kye-geum, my wife

Who is no longer looking at me with love in her face

Horror has replaced it

"A vampire", I finally say

"A...a vampire?", she shrieks

"Yes my love. But I am not a danger to you nor anyone. And I can fix this wound"

"How?"

"By making you a vampire"

She narrows her eyes as disgust forms on her face, "I will not be a monster!"

My heart aches hearing her say that

"A vampire is not a monster", I answer

Vampires are as different as people

Some are monsters, others are not

I used to be one when I was first changed three hundred years ago but I learned to control myself

And I do not kill anyone unless they attack me first

"Yes you are. You drink blood to stay alive", she snarls, "You are unnaturally strong, fast. You kill people. You are a monster"

"I do not kill"

"Liar. My cousin told me about your kind. Pretty face, sweet words, evil, blood hungry killers"

Her cousin?

How does her cousin know about vampires?

"Jia?", I ask

"Yes Jia", she coughs, blood running from her mouth, "The vampire Slayer"

My eyes widen in complete shock

Her cousin is a slayer?

How did I not see it?

How could I not sense it?

I always could sense a slayer

Why can I not now?

"Jia is-"

"Dead. Killed by a vampire"

Hate fills her eyes as well as disgust

"I am sorry, my love"

She snorts, "You are not. She was what vampires feared. She was what kills them. You are glad she is dead so she cannot come after you."

I shake my head, "No, my love. I did not want that"

"Do not call me your love. You lied to me. You compelled me to love you and marry you."

I shake my head, so hurt, "No. I did not. I would not do that."

I would not

I do not want fake love

I want real love

I would never force someone to love me

She pushes my shoulder, "Get away from me"

"Nnn....no. I cannot let you die"

"I will not be a monster. I'd rather die than spend another minute with you!"

My heart shatters as tears start to fall

I love her more than anything and I thought she loved me just as much

I was going to tell her about me soon, hoping that her love would outweigh what I am

My hope was just dashed

"I love you"

"I do not love you. I hate you. You are a liar and a vampire. A killer. A beast!"

"Kye-geum please"

"Never", she snarls

The next thing I know, she brings her hand to her chest, yelling in pain

"Kye-geum!", I cry, moving closer, "Oh my god!"

The dagger I pulled from her stomach is now buried in her chest

Pulling it out, I look at her

Eyes closed, body still, chest not moving

"Kye-geum?", I call, "Kye-geum!"

I pull her in my arms, shake her, trying to wake her but I know

I cannot hear her heart pumping, cannot hear her lungs breathing

She is dead

She....she killed herself.....to get away from me

I...I do not know what to feel about that

How to feel about that

The love of my life chose death rather than me

She hated me when she died

And I still love her more than anything

I hold her close, sobbing hard, not knowing what I am going to do without her
