This is a post about Gaza. The primary audience for Hermitcraft and MLP are actual fucking children. Children are not mentally equipped to be exposed to content regarding genocide. While it is true that Palestinian children should not be suffering a genocide, that doesn't mean making children outside of Palestine see this content is acceptable. I stand with Palestine. Okay, so I feel like I'm going to step on some toes with this one, but I also feel like it needs to be said. I'm using this ask as an opportunity to restate what I said on another post. This is going to be a long one.

Tag your shit correctly. It is so, SO easy to do so, and I don't understand why some people refuse to do it. If you aren't sure if something is tagged correctly, send it to someone to look over. Hell, I'll happily look over your stuff!

Now, what do I mean by this? Just what Nonny here said. Some authors are tagging their OC fics as reader insert. Stop doing that. My name is not Mary. My name is not Jessica. My name is not whatever. If you are naming the character, then it is no longer reader insert. Tag it as such. How do you do that?

That's how. It's literally that easy. Reader inserts use "y/n," and if you aren't doing that, then what you are writing is not reader insert. Some authors get around this by giving the reader a nickname. For example, in my fic "Don't Hang'em Til Noon," I gave the reader the nickname of "Scout." That is your nickname in that universe. Every now and then I will still use y/n, but your character goes by the name of Scout. Your actual name is not Scout.

Again, if you are writing reader insert, then your reader does not have an official name. If your character does have an official name, then you are no longer writing reader insert, you are writing an original character.

It is so, so, SO important that you tag fics correctly!! Also, to restate another point from the original post, we have to start tagging platonic relationships differently from romantic ones. "abc x xyz" should indicate romance. I propose we start tagging platonic relationships as "abc & xyz" like AO3 does. It just makes it easier, and it's weird to see "abc x daughter!xyz." I'm sorry, but it is.

In addition to all this, MAKE SURE YOU ARE TAGGING YOUR CONTENT WARNINGS CORRECTLY. That's why warnings are there in the first place - to let the reader know what content is in the fic, so if they aren't comfortable with reading a certain topic, they know to avoid the fic.

These are basic housekeeping/courtesy things in tagging fics, and I'm not entirely sure that some of you don't ignore these on purpose sometimes for interactions.

As for a reader addressing a writer? I don't think there's anything wrong with sending in an ask to let an author know that you'd like to see a certain topic tagged in future fics. You're probably going to step on toes, and people are going to get butt hurt, I'm just telling you this now. If they are doing one of the above things, then they're in the wrong, and they should know that they are. You could always broach the subject by asking them why they tagged a fic as "abc x reader" when they are actually writing about an OC. That's a good way to start the conversation, and if they don't give a good enough answer, then people will let them know.

Anyway, y'all have GOT to start tagging your fics appropriately. It's so frustrating clicking on a fic only to find out that the warnings/tags were not accurate AT ALL. I'm not saying you have to tag every little thing, but you should be tagging the basics.

Take a look at Chapter Four of "Don't Hang'em Til Noon." It has an assault scene and it is tagged as such. The overall fic is tagged with gun violence and general violence, so I don't think you necessarily need to tag that in the chapter. The overall fic summary already covered that, so readers should already know that there's a possibility of running into that when reading.

It's just basic courtesy things, guys. Get it together.

Alhaitham wants to be left alone, he's not an asshole. He wants to lead a normal life. He wants to function in his own space on his own time. Is that really too much to ask?!

Kaveh's not your little uwu boy. If someone is instigating a fight between him and Alhaitham, it's him. If someone is swinging first, it's him. If he were to get hit, he'd hit back twice as hard, and then hit the person three more times for good measure. He gives as good as he gets.

Can we please just have this hell fandom that I can't leave because I'm autistic and it's my hyperfixation actually understand a character, or is basic reading comprehension too much to ask? I'm sorry, this got really out of hand, I'm just frustrated and I don't intend to be rude to Kaveh fans. Like who you like, but please just like it for what it is, not what random internet strangers think it is.

So a very, VERY long time ago, before chapter 2 released I think, I posted some Dark World designs for Toriel and Asgore, but since then both my understandings of their characters, character designing overall and personal tastes have evolved, so I made new designs for them! (including revamping the official light world walksprites because god knows deltarunes spritework is flawed) I'm slowly working on doing all their battle animations too, but until then, just the idles will do I hope.
