Car Ride - Ok Taecyeon Fiction

Character: Ok Taecyeon

Summary: Both you and Taecyeon attend an award ceremony together and your nerves get to you.

It was an Award night, and you were currently in the van on the way to the event with your manager and your main co star – Taecyeon - and his manager. The both of you were filming a series together and as part of the PR for this series, they decided to have the two main leads arrive to some Award shows together and play on the fan service a little bit. This was in the hopes that fans would fall even more in love with your pairing and the series itself... 

So, here you were, in the car. 

Things would be going great, if it wasn’t for your nerves acting up and making you queasy. You had stared out your window, hoping that it would help, but as the car whizzed past the buildings, it made your condition worse. With a sigh, you opted to take deep breaths and closed your eyes, until you were close to the event hall.  

Taecyeon, who was sitting in the seat next to you, looked over when he heard you sigh. Usually, when you were both together on set, the conversation was endless, but now with the car so quiet, he felt like something was not right.  

“Hey, are you okay?” he whispered when he noticed your hand on your stomach and your eyes closed.  

“Do you need some water?” he asked you again, when you didn’t answer him. You took another deep breath and squinted your eyes open.  

“I just feel a little nauseous, must be the nerves...” you answered him with a little chuckle, so you didn’t worry him too much. Taecyeon reached down to grab the nearest bottle of water and opened it before he extended it to you.  

“Here, sip some water, it might help,” you took the bottle and sipped on it slowly.  

“Do you think you need medication? Manager-nim, can we stop by a pharmacy and get some anti-nausea pills?” which manager he was talking to didn’t matter, as long as one of them was listening.  

“Are you okay Taecyeon-ssi?” your manager had asked as he looked at both of you through the rearview mirror, and before Taecyeon could answer, you spoke up.  

“I’m just a little queasy but don’t worry, I'll be fine when we get there,” you didn’t want to cause any unnecessary changes to the plan or be late and you weren’t exactly lying either; you’re sure that by the time you arrived, and were situated, everything will be fine.  

“Are you sure?? Or we can stop somewhere, and get some fresh air?” This time, it was Taecyeon’s manager.  

“I’m sure...thank you anyways,” 

“Well, at least drink some more water please?” Taecyeon asked nicely, his voice laced with concern. You nodded your head slightly and went back to sipping the water.  

When the van came to a stop in front of the red carpet, Taecyeon turned to you again.  

“Are you sure you’re okay? You don’t need any medication?” He was still concerned and was willing to go through this alone if he had to.  

“I’m okay, really... let’s go,” you told him and gave him a small smile. He nodded minutely but still not convinced as he got out of the car. When both of you started walking down the red carpet, the cameras started flashing and blinding you, and the noise of the reporters and fans alike was deafening.  

“Guys, here please! Pose for this camera!” 

Both of you posed for the cameras before Taecyeon leaned down with a smile.  

“Let me know if you feel any worse... I’ll find something to help,” you nodded with a small smile as the reporters and fans went wild again.  

When you’ve stood long enough, posing, one of the staff members ushered you towards the entrance, as you made your way in.  

“Taecyeon-ssi, thank you,” Taecyeon smiled and waved it off.  

“It’s no problem. I’m sure the team would enjoy it if I had to bridal carry you out anyways...” he replied with a laugh.  

“Hmm... let’s not do that... I’m not ready to face the wrath of some of your so-called fans...” both of you started laughing some more.  

“Really though, thank you,”  

“Aish, you say thank you one more time, I’ll get your manager to come back and get you...!” he shook his head in slight disbelief before he slowly walked away.

Random Idol Reactions to the Dentist Appointment

(Non-Tarot)

Disclaimer:

All the described reactions are pure fiction and my own speculation and they are intentionally exaggerated to make it more fun to read. Please, do not take any of it seriously. 

There people walking among us who fear the dentist beyond anything else in the world. They will avoid sitting into the dentist chair unless the pain forces them to make an appointment. 

And then there are normal people like me who love to go to the dentist and diligently visit his office every 6 months to have the preventive check done. And don't let me start on the bliss of dental hygiene procedure. Well... I truly like to have my teeth taken care of by professionals. 

But what about our lovely and cute idols? How do they react to dentist appointment? 

Let's find out! 

Dongwoo (Infinite) 

Dongwoo finds the dentist appointment a waste of time. He takes a good care of his teeth and doesn't need the dentist to tell him what he already knows. Dongwoo isn't the type to sit in the waiting room reading the outdated magazines there, he always brings a thick book with him and would gladly read it even while the dentist has their hands in his mouth if it was possible. Once the check is over, Dongwoo sets a reminder to his phone for next appointment. 

Level of will to go to the appointment: 3/10

Minhyuk (Monsta X) 

Minhyuk makes a scene before going to the dentist, he screams and runs around describing all the terror he could possibly encounter in the dentist chair. He will insist on the fact no dentist appointment is needed and will postpone the meeting like 5x before he is forced by someone stronger than him (Shownu or Wonho) who will  drag him into the dentist office kicking and screaming like a big baby. The dentist hates him, because Minhyuk refuses to open mouth wide and when he does, he bites. After a little wrestle the check is finished, Minhyuk insists on getting a lolly and he leaves the dentist fast. 

Level of will to go to the appointment: 1/10

Donghae (Super Junior) 

For Donghae the dentist appointment is one of the necessary evil in life. The kind of suffering all human beings has to go through. He accepts the dentist appointment with resignation, he comes on time, sits in the chair and obeys all instructions hoping for it to be over soon. Deep down he believes that women must feel the same about gynecologist appointments. Once the check is over, Donghae will take a sticky note with the date and time of next appointment which he will lose a week later. 

Level of will to go to the appointment: 5/10

Taecyeon (2PM) 

Taecyeon coming for a dentist appointment is a big thing. All the nurses and assistants are there, no matter whether it is their shift that day or not. Taecyeon arrives with cute smile and small presents for the staff, spreading good mood and compliments left and right. The female staff is swooning from his presence and he knows it. Taecyeon cracks double meaning jokes till the dentist instructs him to open wide. And when he can't talk, he at least winks at the nurses. Once the check is over, he leaves the office with next appointment and several new phone numbers saved in his phone. 

Level of will to go to the appointment: 7/10

Love (former OnlyOneOf) 

Love loves to eat and he knows he need good healthy teeth for that. He looks forward to his regular preventive checks, he arrives at least 10 minutes earlier to the waiting room, he gathers all the free-to-take brochures about how to maintain your teeth, gums and mouth healthy. Once he is invited to the dentist's office he begins a conversation, he knows all about his dentist's family life, the names of his children, he knows what kind evening classes their mother attends and what is the favourite TV show of their aunt. This applies to the assistant, too. Love sits in the chair relaxed while his dentist keeps the conversation going and Love answers with unarticulated noises. Once the check is over, Love sets a reminder of next appointment in his phone and he also notes it down in his calendar at home. 

Level of will to go to the appointment: 10/10

My favorite KDrama ever is “Her Private Life” which I think is still on Netflix but it’s now on Prime too. It’s the first one I ever watched, and it’s just my perfect mix of silly romantic fun and actual drama.

“Hometown Cha Cha Cha” was really great.

“Crash Landing on You” is really popular and you’ve probably heard of it/watched it - but it’s really one of the best so it bears repeating.

“Cinderella & the Four Knights” was good too, a little heavier on the drama but still fun and romantic with characters you somehow hate and root for simultaneously.

“Vincenzo” I watched because I think Taehyung or Jimin said they liked it - so obviously I watched it too lmao. If they jumped off a bridge…yeah.

Those are the ones that come to mind for me - the ones I’ve rewatched a few times because they became comfort shows (especially HPL).

Omg omg!!

Vincenzo is one of my top 3 dramas of all time. And the credit goes to Ok Taecyeon. Even though Song Joon Ki is one of my most favourite actors but Jung Joonho really stole the show as THE VILLAIN (i might sound like a psycho but I kinda enjoy the villains more than the heroes, haha 💀)

Crash Landing on you is something I thoroughly enjoyed, like every single bit of it. I personally prefer Action more than romance. But Crash Landing on you makes an exception for me. And I started watching the drama after knowing it is Hoseok's favourite one. 😭

I watched cindrella and the four knights as well. Liked it quite a bit but it wasn't really my kind of thing. However, I loved the tension. Hehe.

And I haven't watched hometown cha cha cha and her private life yet. I actually started HPL but I lost track of it maybe? I watched two episodes as far as I can recall. 🤔 I should start it again.

As for me, The K2 remains as my most favourite kdrama ever. Gosh!!! That drama has every single element I loooove!!! You can't find a single loophole! Everything is perfectly placed. I literally recommend it to everyone. The protagonist, Kim Je Ha, played by Ji Chang Wook, remains as my most ideal fictional man (right after Kanalia's Lord Jung OBVIOUSLY) ever.

What I really appreciate about SRIJ, fiction though it may be, is that Jo-yi is not subservient. She has agency, so do Gwang-Soon and Bi-Ryung, and her mom. It's quite refreshing for a Sageuk drama. Again, I know it doesn't depict the reality of the times. To be honest, I don't watch Kdramas for a dose of realism, I have a playlist full of nordic-noir for that.

Crisis Talks ~ Ok Taecyeon

You didn’t react as your eyes looked up at the clock to see just how late it was when Taecyeon finally walked through the front door. Despite assuring you that he wouldn’t be home too late, that the two of you could sit down and eat your dinner together, you had been left alone again with not even a message to let you know what his plans were.

All along you had assured Taecyeon that you understood how busy he was, that things weren’t always easy for him. You tried to get it still, but the empty promises were slowly draining the energy out of you and the little fight that you had left for your relationship.

There was an uncomfortable silence between you both as soon as you found yourselves in the same room. Taecyeon only needed to look at your expression to know that he had let you down and disappointed you once again.

He didn’t blame you, he blamed himself. He was the one in the wrong. But it wasn’t all his fault though, he couldn’t help that work had overrun and he’d ended up having to refilm several takes of a scene that he was convinced would only take a matter of minutes.

��Have you eaten?” Taecyeon nervously asked you as he sat himself down.

The quietest of hums came from you in reply to him, keeping your eyes looking in any direction but the direction of Taecyeon.

“Is there anything left in the kitchen for me to have for dinner?” Taecyeon then asked you, scratching over the top of his head.

“There might be something in one of the cupboards if you look far enough.”

His head nodded as he heard the bitterness in your voice for the first time. Taecyeon expected it, but it still stung him hard. The two of you seemed to have an attitude every time you spoke to each other these days as you tried to figure out where either of you stood.

It took a moment for Taecyeon to speak up again, “I might just order myself some food in if that’s the case, is there anything you want to add to my order?”

“Nope,” you very quickly replied, trying but failing to bite your tongue. “I ate my dinner at the time that we arranged, I don’t think I need anything else to eat tonight.”

His head hung low as he listened to you speak, with Taecyeon poking his tongue against the inside of his mouth. He had no leg to stand on to be able to be as harsh back to you, knowing that everything you said was right, however much it hurt for him to admit it.

“I’m trying my best to make this up to you Y/N,” Taecyeon calmly ended up replying.

You would have appreciated the effort if it was the first time that Taecyeon had been home late and missed out on time with you, but it wasn’t. It felt like your life was on repeat time and time again, only this time he actually seemed willing to at least say sorry.

“Why does it feel like I’m just thrown to the side of the road like nothing these days?” You found yourself asking Taecyeon, clearing your mind of the thoughts that were starting to fog it. “You act in dramas, is this what the ideal romance is supposed to be like?”

Taecyeon’s head shook back at you, “a drama romance is just fictional Y/N, this is real life, that’s never perfect.”

“I know, I’m really beginning to see how unperfect it can be.”

Taecyeon wasn’t blind to the changes that were happening right in front of him, how everything seemed to be slipping away from you both. He was struggling too, trying to find the balance just seemed like the impossible to him.

“I mean, how long do we pretend that this is an alright way to live Taec?”

There was no answer to your question, Taecyeon had no idea himself. It wasn’t that he wanted to live as the two of you were, he just saw no way out of it.

“I get that we live busy lives Taecyeon, but we always used to make time for each other. Now, it feels like there’s no fight, it feels like we just accept that we’re not going to be able to spend time together and don’t try to change it,” you admitted, finally looking across at him.

He got it, with his head nodding in reply to you. Perhaps there were times when he could have stepped back and refused to do something or times when he could have arranged something for you both when he knew that he had time off.

“I don’t want to be here just because,” you then added as Taecyeon remained slightly stunned to silence, “I want to be here with you, not just sat here wondering when you’ll be home.”

“I want to be here with you too,” he whispered.

“Then why don’t you try from time to time?” You questioned, “why don’t you just stop giving up on me every single time? Just once Taecyeon, that’s all that I want.”

Once again he found himself nodding, there was nothing else that he could do when he acknowledged everything that you had to say. Work had taken too much of his time, forgetting that there were other things in his life that needed prioritising too.

“I’m going to take a look at my work schedule and figure out if there are any spots where amendments can be made,” he confidently assured you. “I don’t need to absorb myself in work constantly, I mean we’re ahead of schedule for this drama anyway.”

Your head nodded as you listened closely to what Taecyeon had to say, “if you’re ahead, then why are you staying so late? Why don’t you leave something for a more suitable time?”

“Because that would be too easy,” he lightly chuckled, “and I’m too stupid to think of that.”

“You’re not wrong there,” you slightly laughed too.

“I don’t want to make you feel as if being in a relationship with me is some sort of chore,” Taecyeon swiftly assured you. “I don’t want things to be like this between the two of us either, if it means having to change some things, I will, you’re the person that I want to make happiest the most.”

You believed in every word that Taecyeon had to say, unsure if whether it was just the actor in him that managed to make him sound convincing. But he meant every word as he spoke, determined to make things work with you.

“I don’t want us to be one of those couples that in a few months can barely bring themselves to say hello to one another Taec. We’re better than that, we’ve survived this long in amongst all the hecticness without any trouble, I don’t want this to be the start of our relationship going downhill now.”

“I agree with you,” he smiled across at you, moving a little closer towards you on the sofa too. “It’s all well and good me sitting here and telling you that I’ll do more for us, but I really do mean it too. I don’t want for the two of us to go downhill either, I just want for the two of us to keep going up and up and up.”

“Do you think we’ll be able to do that?” You honestly asked Taecyeon.

His head nodded straight away back across to you. “It might take a little bit of practice and a little bit of understanding, but you’re right, we’ve not got this far for no reason, I can’t see either of us giving up either now.”

“I don’t want to give up on you,” you told him, “but recently, the thought has crossed my mind once or twice.”

“I’ll make sure that I don’t give you a reason anymore to doubt us,” he promised you.

“I reckon you’ll do that too.”

just finished watching Vincenzo n I’m feeling a lot of things rn… but it just made me realise that yandere behaviour is just not healthy, it’s wrong. it’s fucked up beyond the lines of fiction n shouldn’t be romanticised at all…. gosh ok taecyeon has terrified me.

In an interview with Cine21, Moon Sori said,  “[Jeon Yeo Been] is a courageous actor who understands the director's words well, and does not care how she will be seen by others.”

I read this interview earlier. At her words, I couldn’t help but reflect on HCY and admire JYB even more. 

Before people start saying that I’m making excuses for her or whatnot, I just want to make it clear that I almost dropped Vincenzo during the first three episodes. I found HCY refreshing, but I just found her too obnoxious and overdramatic. 

Eight episodes later, I’ve become a Cha Young and Yeo Been simp. As I’ve mentioned before, HCY is an acquired taste. If you don’t like her, that’s cool. But if you like her, that’s also cool. Regardless of what people say about HCY (though she’s easily becoming one of my favorite fictional characters, no joke), I’m really going to have to hand it to Jeon Yeo Been. I’ve seen her before in Be Melo and After My Death. She had a stunning performance for both, so her attack on HCY took me by surprise. I looked at the bts of the videos, and true enough, whenever she would do the nuanced version her critiques demand from her, the director would say “CUT!” and ask her to repeat the lines or the actions in the exaggerated and quirky fashion that we see. The portrayal on TV is Hong Cha Young. And it makes a lot of sense because HCY herself (on Vincenzo) would repeatedly say that she is annoying and very much capable of making the entire mankind angry.  

She definitely can.

That is the character that I (and other viewers) are falling in love with. Her character growth from episode one is no joke. Her weird antics grew on me and I love love love love her. Moreover, through Hong Cha Young, I loved Yeo Been even more.

People called her mean names and were very harsh on her (some still are tbh) but she went on anyway and pushed through with what the director and writer had in mind for the character. No wonder Taecyeon said that she’s like a sponge; she absorbs instructions really quickly. And when her original portrayal of HCY does not meet what the director/writer had in mind, she makes the necessary adjustments (as seen in the bts). Why? Because that’s the character she’s portraying, and the portrayal on screen is a collaboration between the directing team,  the writer, and the actor. People can say whatever they want about her acting and HCY’s character. As much as it saddens me as a fan, that’s okay. We’re all free to have our opinion. It’s a matter of personal taste, and it shows in how some viewers adore her whereas others still find her odd. 

But what I know for sure is, it’s a pleasure to work with her because she will do anything and everything to nail the portrayal. And that’ just so damn admirable :)

Summary: Everything up to this point was a mess and you didn’t know when one thought ended and another began. It was this endless, constant loop of dark days and mean voices, along with people on the outside pointing fingers and speaking lies after lies.

Today was the day.

The pavement below looked inviting as the night wore on and the silence grew. The breeze blew the hair out of your face, which gave you a clear view of your surroundings. For once, in what seemed like forever, your mind was the clearest it had been; the emptiest you could remember it being. 

Everything up to this point was a mess and you didn’t know when one thought ended and another began. It was this endless, constant loop of dark days and mean voices, along with people on the outside pointing fingers and speaking lies after lies. 

Today was the day.  

The silence was deafening that you could even hear someone coming from the sound of the rooftop door being opened. Good timing you thought as you took a step forward at that very moment, a witness to your end be damned. 

The wind whooshed passed you as the pavement looked closer than it was earlier. You closed your eyes and accepted your fate but it was as if time stood still… the wind was still rough on your skin but your descent had halted. In haste, you opened your eyes and saw that you were dangling in the air, the ground nowhere near where you thought it would be, feet very far from being able to touch anything but the building itself. You look up and you see a hand gripping itself around your wrist and before you could even think to say anything, that hand pulled you up and over the ledge, back to the solid rooftop, and on top of whoever it was that pulled you. 

After a few seconds, when your initial shock had worn off, you trashed about in the person’s hold and thumped your fists onto his body in anger. 

“WHY DID YOU RESCUE ME?? I WOULD BE BETTER OFF IF YOU DIDN’T SHOW UP! YOU SHOULD’VE LET ME GO! LET. ME. GO!” you shouted as hot tears rolled down your face. 

“NO! I AM NOT LETTING YOU GO!” the person angrily replied and his grip around your waist got tighter. 

“LET ME GO! PLEASE…JUST LET ME GO…” you pleaded but he wasn’t having any of it. 

“WILL YOU STOP?! WHATEVER THE REASON IS, I WILL NOT LET YOU LEAVE THIS WORLD UNTIL YOU SEE THE BRIGHT SIDE OF IT!!”

“THERE IS NO BRIGHT SIDE!”

“THERE’S ALWAYS A BRIGHT SIDE!”

Your fists stopped their thumping and instead gripped his shirt tightly, loud sobs echoed in the air. 

“You don’t know me…why won’t you let me leave…” you whispered. 

“Because I’ve been there and I know that it gets better, I promise,”

You raised yourself up on your elbows and looked into his eyes, which shone in the moonlight. He took this as a sign to sit himself up and when he did, he took a real good look at you.

“Y-you…” 

He looked at your trembling body and hands and a thought crossed his mind. 

“I… I’m going to quickly go and get something but I don’t want to leave you…” silence hung in the air as you both stared into each other’s eyes.

“Promise me you won’t go anywhere…?” he whispered into the wind.

“I-I can’t…”

“Please…?” his eyes glossed over and a lone tear fell as you stared in shock.

“Please stay… I don’t want to drag you downstairs along with me…” he pleaded with soft eyes. You shook your head and curled in on yourself, tears ran down your face again.  He sighed and looked at you for a moment before he hesitantly got up to leave. 

He bolted through the doorway and down the flights of stairs to his apartment, afraid to leave you alone for too long. Long legs rushed in the front door, towards the kitchen where he promptly put the kettle on before he power walked to the closet where he kept the spare blankets. He pulled out the softest one he could find and brought it with him back to the kitchen, and proceeded to make two cups of hot drink. By the time he was finished, ten minutes had passed and he took hurried steps up as best he could with his hands full. 

When he reached the rooftop, a sigh of relief left his lips at the sight of you, seemingly unmoving since he was last up there. He walked up to you, placed the cups on the floor and laid the blanket over your shoulders. 

“Thank you for staying…” he whispered as he sat down beside you. He extended one of the cups to you, his one finger poking you to get your attention. You looked up and stared at the steaming cup, wondering what you did to deserve such kindness. 

“My name is Taecyeon by the way… I live on the tenth floor,” 

“Why were you up here?” you whispered to him. 

“Just needed some fresh air…lucky timing huh?” you scoffed. 

“I don’t want to talk about it,”

“I didn’t say you had to,”

Silence fell between the two of you.

“Do you want to go out for coffee tomorrow?”

“Is this your way of checking on me?”

“Maybe…?”

Another silence. 

“I don’t need a babysitter,”

“How about a friend?”

“I don’t have friends,”

“How about a partner in crime?”

“Don’t have one of those either,”

“Well, would you like one…?”

You stared into his eyes.

“No,”

You reached your finger out and stuck it in the cup of hot drink, swirling it around. 

“Are you going to let me leave…?”

“Not if you’re going forever…”

Omg so I finally finished Vincenzo and absolutely loved it! I'm so glad that you urge me to watch it as soon as possible and that gadget on my watch list! So many twist and turns, and major shockers! Not to mention all the heart-wrenching swoon-worthy and hilarious moments! Good action too Also , I've developed a massive crush on Song Joong-ki and Vincenzo despite him being a fictional epic character lol. Also taecon who was Jun-woo ! I'm bummed that it's at the series is over and need to find something to fill the void lol. Any recommendations? Think I might check out the arthdal chronicles soon whick Song Joong-ki is in ! Oh and you might like the movie space sweepers ! He also has a lead character and I watched it before I even knew he was! Great movie!

I watched the BTS too and Yeonbin and Joongki have such a cute friendship, I can't stop squealing! I'm so glad Vincenzo was a healing point for Joongki, mans really needed it q(≧▽≦q)
