Ukrainian engineers have started testing their home-made extended rage, high precision guided bombs by dropping them from the Su-24 Fencer bomber, September 2024. Source: NEWSADER
P.S. According to sources Ukrainian made guided bombs are significantly better. These bombs have a booster, longer range and more powerful explosive charge, that weapons supplied by the West...! These new aerial bombs have high accuracy and can be dropped from other types of combat aircraft as well. Moreover, the Ukrainians are free to use them against Russian forces and infrastructure objects deep inside Russian territory....

The article, authored by Tom Laemlein, details the role of America's Technical Air Intelligence Unit (TAIU) in World War II. Established in November 1942, the TAIU was formed to gather intelligence on Japanese aircraft post-Pearl Harbor, as America realized its initial underestimation of Japanese aviation capabilities. The unit, located in Australia, was an Allied collaboration that included aviation experts from the United States, Australia, and the UK. Despite challenges like competition among service branches, souvenir hunters, and difficult terrain in the Pacific, the TAIU's efforts led to crucial intelligence victories, including the recovery of intact enemy aircraft like the Kawasaki Ki-61 and the Mitsubishi Zero. These efforts enriched the Allied forces’ understanding of Japanese technological capabilities, influencing subsequent military strategies and reinforcing the importance of technical intelligence in warfare. The text also highlights personal anecdotes from TAIU veterans like Ray Peppler, illustrating the unit's dangerous and secretive operations.

Also I scrolled through "turn-based strategies" section on my torrent of choice and was disappointed that majoroty of entries were about WW2.
I see reasons for it both in culture and in nature of warfare (WW2 was the first fully mechanized warfare which makes it very different from everything that came before, I guess it's important for military history nerds), but sorry, I don't feel comfortable playing games about one of the most dramatic and complicated conflicts in history. Make more games about War for Spanish Succession or another civil war in Imperial China or some other inconsequential thing like this
