"I'm sorry, honey. It happened so suddenly, and you wouldn’t have made it in time," your mom said softly over the phone. You could barely muster the strength to respond. "His whole life was spent loving you, and that’s something truly special."

Tears streamed down your face as the call ended. You knew dogs didn’t live forever, but that didn’t make losing George any less devastating. He had been your loyal companion since you were seven—your baby, and always would be.

Your phone rang again. This time, it was your best friend, Oscar.

"Hey, I’m sorting out your pass for next week and need to know when you’ll be getting in," he said casually.

"Oscar…" you choked out, your voice breaking. "George…"

There was a moment of silence on the other end. "I’m coming over. I’ll be there in 20 minutes."

You sobbed into your pillow, trying to bury yourself under the covers, wishing this nightmare would end. True to his word, 20 minutes later, you heard your front door open, followed by the sound of something being placed on the kitchen counter. A moment later, Oscar appeared, his heart sinking as he saw your tear-streaked face.

“Oh, Y/N,” he murmured, sliding into bed beside you and wrapping his arms around you. You broke down in his embrace, sobbing into his chest as he gently rubbed your back, humming softly into your hair.

“He was supposed to live forever, Oscar,” you cried. “How am I supposed to live without him?”

"I know, I know," he whispered, his own eyes glistening as he held you tightly, feeling your pain.

You stayed like that for a while, your sobs gradually quieting into soft hiccups as you began to calm down.

“I’ve got dinner in the kitchen,” Oscar said gently, breaking the silence.

“I’m not hungry,” you mumbled, still pressed against him.

"Let me take care of you," he insisted, carefully picking you up and carrying you to the kitchen. He set you down on a barstool, revealing your favorite comfort food—Taco Bell. You wiped your tears and took a small bite of your burrito. Glancing around, you noticed he’d also picked up your favorite candy and brought one of his sweatshirts—the one you always loved wearing.

You slid off the stool and pulled the sweatshirt over your head, the familiar comfort of it bringing a slight smile to your face. Oscar looked at you with a tenderness he tried to hide, but the heart-eyes were unmistakable.

"Can we watch a movie?" you asked softly.

"Anything you want, love," he said, moving to set up the TV.

You moved the food to the coffee table and sank into the couch, wrapping a blanket around yourself. Oscar joined you, stretching his legs out on the ottoman. After finishing your meal, you curled into his side, and he wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close.

"Thanks for coming," you whispered, looking up at him. He gave you a soft smile and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. Little did you know, Oscar would drop everything in a heartbeat just to be by your side.

As you turned back to the movie, exhaustion washed over you. You felt yourself drifting off, safe and warm in his embrace.

"I love you," was the last thing you heard before sleep claimed you.

Alejandro was no stranger to big eaters. He’d been raised in a large family, had multiple squads, and now ran an entire army—he had seen folks pack away some food. That being said, the 141 seemed to be endless pits for beer and homecooked food. He watched Soap and Price go head-to-head on how many beers they could drink in five minutes, watched as the waitress brought out Ghost’s third plate of steak fajitas, and watched Gaz eat his weight in chorizo and beans. Even he and Rudy didn’t have room enough in their stomachs for that much food. They’d cleared about two plates themselves and more than a few beers before deciding it was best to hold off on more food.

He sat back in his seat, half tempted to unloop his belt and caught the eye of the woman who’d come along with them. It was almost as if she was Ghost and Soap put together, the silence of Ghost in friendly situations and the complete disregard for seriousness like Soap in dire circumstances. Wraith. They called her, a counterpart to Ghost it seemed. Alejandro had observed them in battle. Like a tag-team, they struck in fluid motion, mowing down enemies before they even realized the two had descended upon them. She, like Ghost, had an affinity for knives, but he realized that while the rest of them wore protective gear of all kinds, she only had a vest, kneepads, and a belt. No extra ammo pockets, no safety gear tucked away. Just a tri-edged knife and a carbine slung around her back was all she carried with her. And she was, exactly like a wraith, striking when least expected and gone with a whisper. Hell on heels. Deadly, and strikingly beautiful.

Alejandro gave her a friendly smile and she nodded her head going back to her food. Which is why he was so surprised. Wraith, had put away more food than anyone at the table. And more than a few piña coladas and tequila shots along with it. Yet, she seemed in perfect condition, sober and still hungry. She finished the plate and stood, turning around to the bartender as she said, “Oye, barman, dame dos Modelos, por favor.”

She walked around the table and sat next to Alejandro, propping an elbow in the table as she put her chin on her palm and stared at him; the bartender put the beers in front of them and she took hers, taking a sip of it. “Are you married, Alejandro?”

It reminded him of his sister asking. Ya estás casado, Ale? No te estás volviendo más joven, ya sabes. Necesitas establecerte y casarte con una buena mujer. He gave a humored chuckle and raise the bottle to his lips. “Unfortunately, Wraith, I haven’t had much time to find a wife.” He smiled at her. “What of you? Are you married?”

“Do I look like the type of woman who is married?” she gestured to herself. “I’ve literally eaten five plates of tacos, drank five margaritas, and had at least ten beers.” She blinked, deadpanning, “I outman most men who meet me and they very much so lose interest in me.”

Alejandro laughed. “Debes estar bromeando. Una mujer hermosa como tú tiene que tener muchos admiradores.”

She scoffed. “Beauty means nothing to a man when he feels like his manhood is being challenged.”

“That is because they are not real men,” he said. “Los hombres reales reconocen a las mujeres reales.”

Her eyes narrowed and suddenly Alejandro felt like the temperature had risen a few degrees around them as she finished the rest of her beer and leaned over, pointer finger swirling around the rim of his beer bottle. “And what of the real man before me?” she purred. “Does he recognize a real woman before him?”

He swallowed thickly feeling very fidgety in his seat, as if all eyes were on him. He cast a quick glance around. No one seemed to be listening to them, Price and Soap still going at it with new rounds, Gaz fighting sleep from fullness, and Ghost was in his own world enjoying authentic fajitas. It was just the two of them and he looked back at her; her expression was calm, waiting, so many things he couldn’t decipher hidden underneath the surface, but he saw her eyes. Saw the game in them, the chase, she was the huntress and he, her prey. One misstep and he was done for.

I do recognize you before me.

So many thoughts and all he could say was, “My mother would love you.”

Split second, her mask dropped in shock, then laughter peeled from her, shaking her shoulders as she laid her head on his shoulder, burying her face in his bicep and his cheeks reddened as she continued to laugh and pat at his thigh, until she sat up and wiped her eyes; she gave him a fond look and to ease his embarrassment, she said, “I would love to meet your mother.”

Alejandro melted, shoulders drooping as this woman, this Wraith, suddenly became so clear to him. She wasn’t a woman who could outman men (she really was), she was simply a woman. A good woman. The kind of woman he’d always wanted to settle down with. A good, strong woman.

She poked his forehead. “Careful there, amante, you’re gonna burn holes in me.”

“No puedo evitarlo. Haces que mi alma cante como nunca antes lo había hecho.”

“Well, aren’t you just a romantic,” she cooed and stood from her seat, holding out her hand; when he stared at it, she retracted and did it again. “Gonna take it or ya gonna keep staring at it like I’m not offering a dance?” she gave him a look. “Can you dance?”

“I can dance,” he shot back and stood, and she dragged him over to the jukebox in the corner of the bar. “What are we dancing to?”

“You’ll find out,” she murmured, staring at the list of songs before grinning as she shoved a few coins in and punched a button.

Drums echoed through the speakers followed by the strumming of a guitar; “Bailando?” Alejandro smirked. “Te gusta Enrique Iglesias?”

She kept to the beat of the music as they twirled and danced around each other. “I like a lot, Alejandro. Let me stick around and you might learn more.”

He spun her out, pulling her back in and she cocked a leg up around his hips, the hand that had hers dropped to hold her leg there (as if she needed the help), but he couldn’t help but squeeze the meat of her thigh. His free hand landed at her back as she bent backwards, all the way until she was crescent; he pulled her back up until her body was snug against his, lips almost brushing as he confessed, “Nada me encantaría más que te quedaras.”

“I’m not looking around for fun, y’know, Alejandro.”

He cocked her leg higher and stepped back, letting her stretch the step as he did and with dead seriousness, he replied, “Soy un hombre sencillo. No tengo tiempo para jugar ni con mi corazón ni con el tuyo. Sé lo que quiero.” Alejandro had her by her hips. “I want you.”

“Better men have hit their knees, Alejandro. And many men have tried for mine.”

He shook his head. “I will succeed where they have failed.”

“Cocky much?”

Alejandro pulled her up and spun her one last time with the beat, ending the song with one hand under her knee as she bent back again, and when she came up, he purred, “¿Para tu? Para siempre.”

She grinned like a madwoman and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well, take me to church, I’ve finally found the man who will make a woman out of me.”

“If I make you any more of a woman, you’ll have no need for me.”

“Nonsense,” she muttered with a shake of her head. “I’ll always have a need for you to stand around and drive me wild with lust.”

“So long as I’m always needed, mi reina,” he replied with a grin, tipping forward to kiss her when,

“DAD! WRAITH’S GONNA KISS AN OLDER MAN! STOP HIM!”

They turned to see the entire 141 and half of Alejandro’s soldiers staring at them, half had their phones out. Silence bled the room and Alejandro did the only thing he could think of, bent down, picked her up at her knees and shouted, “Soldados, me voy a casar con esta mujer!”

His group erupted into shouts and the 141 stared in confusion until she said, “We’re gonna get married one day.”

“Tonight, if she lets me,” Alejandro added in.

“Don’t push your luck, handsome.” He looked up at her and she planted her elbows on his shoulders. “Ah, fuck it, Price marry us! I know you got ordained one day!”

“What.” Price blinked, rubbing at his eyes before he turned to Ghost. “Simon. When did this happen?”

Ghost shoved the last of the fajitas in his mouth and said, “They’ve been eye-fucking since we got here. Love at first sight.”

“We’re still here, y’know?” She called out and Ghost looked at her.

“Gonna tell me you haven’t been eye-fucking the Colonel since he shook your hand?” he scoffed. “You’ve been thinking of a way to get him in your pants since.”

“Is this true?” Alejandro asked and she looked down.

“If I say yes and I going to be in trouble?”

“Possibly.”

She waggled her brows and flirted, “Is it the sexy kind of trouble?”

“Yes.”

“Then absolutely, I’ve been trying to get you to fuck me ever since I got here,” she confessed without a lick of shame in her tone, expression, or body. “Wholeheartedly admit it. Can confirm. Aye-aye sir. Take me home, Colonel, do me wherever, however, and how ever long your heart desires.” She lowered her voice and breathed, “As good of a whore as I am in theory, I’m even better in practice.”

His eyes had darkened with every word, and she smirked as he heaved her up and over his shoulder. “Perdónenme hombres, es hora de que nos despidamos por la noche.”

“Aww, but I didn’t get to drink another piña colada,” she whined, yelping when his palm flattened against her ass with a crack. “HEY NOT IN PUBLIC! MY DAD’S HERE!”

Price watched them leave, the soldiers cheering and drinking to the Colonel’s newfound love, and he looked at his men. “Has my not-daughter always been a…” he cleared his throat and made a gesture.

“A whore?” Simon offered and nodded. “Big time. And believe me, I’ve met some. Wraith fits right in.”

Soap leaned over Price. “Watch how you talk about our sister. She can’t help being a whore. It’s who she is.” The two of them snickered as Price started to groan about going wrong somewhere.

Y/N didn't rest for long. It was the kind of sleep that you woke up feeling groggy, rested, but still awoke like the dead. She leaned over the cot, sitting across the side with her hand in her head for a few minutes. Finally, she stood up and opened the sliding door that gave her privacy into her room. Her eyes glanced down to her watch, it was still around 11 PM telling her she only slept for a couple hours. In the main room there was a group in a circle sitting around talking still. It looked to be Alejandro, Rudy, Soap and Graves.

Alejandro heard her first, turning around to look at her.

"Hey, Sleeping Beauty, get enough sleep?" He asked her in Spanish, leading her to scoff and chuckle.

"Like a rock," she confirmed, "but still hideous," she joked answering him back in his native tongue.

He chuckled, "There's still food if you want it," he said pointing to a make shift table a few roasters with paper plates near by.

"Thanks," she said walking around the circle and heading towards the food. It smelled delightful most of the work she had done leaving her starving. After her plate was made, she walked to one of the corners of the room near the table and started eating. Just waking up left her not very social yet, she preferred to eat first and then she would join the group.

Soap seeing her get food stood up and approached her.

She watched him walk up to her, his vest off since the day was coming to an end along with their work.

" 'Sup?" she said giving him a head nod.

He chuckled, standing in front of her for a bit.

"How ya' feelin'?" his accent thick.

"Honestly not terrible all things considering. You good?" she asked which he nodded to. "Get that piece of shit dropped off to his kind again?"

"Yeah," he said eyebrows raising, "ran his mouth the entire time."

"I believe it," she said finishing her last taco, throwing the plate away.

"Listen," he said his voice turning serious, "I'm glad you were here today."

This made her ears perk up, his words of endearment coating her heart from Ghost telling her act of bravery was a "stupid fuckin' move."

She looked at him, face appalled as she tried to find words, "Thank you, I'm glad you were too, we all made a good team in a shit situation." She wanted to be humble with him, grateful he could talk to her in that kind of way.

He nodded agreeing with her, "I know Ghost can be hard with words... but he appreciates you too."

She sighed arms crossing across her chest, "I don't know man, he seems to think I'm a newbie at this."

"I think it's because he doesn't want you to get hurt."

" 'Cause he thinks I'm weak because I'm a woman?" her tone getting heated, quickly changing her conversation with Soap.

"No, no," he said quickly shaking his head and hands, "The LT seems to be kind of old school, I think he's caught off guard because you are a woman in a man's line of work, and he feels the need to keep you safe. You are respected here, you have more then proved that." He said trying to calm her down.

She blinked, taking Soap's words into consideration. They way Ghost had opened the door on the truck for her to get in, he blocked Hassan from talking to and viewing her anymore out in the desert, and the way he took the tote from her to put into the truck... She had joked about it but he really was a gentleman.

"Alright," she said nodding, "I appreciate it Soap, I do." He nodded back at her.

"Come sit with us for a wee bit?"

"Sure," she said stepping forward to follow him to the where the group was sitting.

"Tequila?" Rudy handed up a bottle to her.

"Fuck no," she said a short chuckle following her out.

"Awh why not?" he asked.

"Makes me crazy," she said to him, making Rudy and a the others laugh.

"You know Spanish?" Soap asked her sitting across from them.

"I know enough."

"It's decent," Alejandro said looking over to her, "Rudy says your dad is Mexican?"

"Stepdad," she clarified "he was raised by Mexicans, he was born and raised in Texas on a ranch. Made sure I knew it, found it important."

The conversation turned quiet again after this.

"Texas is where I'm from," Graves said looking up to her.

"Yeah? Which part?" She asked.

"Dallas."

"San Antonio." she said to him.

Her phone that was specific to Laswell vibrated in her pocket. Grabbing it out of her cargos, stretching the Velcro as she reached in. She had an email from Laswell that was sent to her and General Shepherd. From the hit on Hassan's phone, proving that he had contact with someone from Spain in an area where the Cartel is known to have warehouses, a place where missiles could fit. The email advised her that Laswell was going with 2 other people to check it out. One being Captain John Price and the other Sergeant Garrick. Laswell's assignment was recon and exfil if needed, leaving her to be the only one on her task while Price and Garrick searched the buildings. Y/N passed the phone over to Alejandro to read the email, who then sent it over to Rudy to do the same. Finally when they were done, she reached over handing it to Soap so he could see it as well.

After he finished reading it, he handed the phone back to her clearly reading the hesitancy on her face. "I know Price, Gaz and I trained together too, Laswell's in good hands."

"Think I'm going to go call her just to talk it over with her," she said standing up, already dialing her number. Y/N could see Graves leaning in to the others to check what was happening

It didn't take Laswell long to pick up.

"Beastie," she said tone serious.

"Let me come with you," she blurted.

"I knew you weren't going to take this well."

"Let me come with you," she repeated more solemn this time.

"There's no time, I'm already heading out."

This made Y/N stomach flop.

"I'll notify you as soon as I'm back and safe."

Y/N sighed. The line was quiet for a long time. "You called me stubborn earlier tonight, but really I think it is you." Y/N said her tone sounding worried.

Laswell chuckled, "I've been doing this long time, probably before you were born," she joked. "I'll be fine, I trust Price."

"Alright...." Y/N said giving into Laswell's choice. "Can you just communicate with me as it goes so I know you are all alright?"

"Always." Laswell said her tone trying to sound warm to comfort Y/N.

"Be careful," Y/N said.

"I'll be fine Beastie, get some rest for now."

Y/N stood outside for a bit, arms resting against the rail guard her head on her forearms.

She could then smell cigarette smoke making her glance up and look over her shoulder. It was Ghost, still in his gear, brown clothes on so he could blend in with his surrondings.

"Ya' alright?" he asked.

She handed the phone with the email brought up so he could read it.

"Hmmm," was all he could say as he finished reading it and handing it back to her.

"Hate not being able to go with her," she said confiding in Ghost how she honestly felt about the whole thing, sticking her phone back into her pocket.

"She's in good hands," Ghost said.

"Soap said the same."

"Probably the truest and smartest thing he has said all day." He said trying to joke, causing Y/N to snort.

"Just don't want her to be in a shit show is all."

"You're needed in the shit here, she will be ok," he said firmer. She glanced over at him, the first time since she had started talking to him outside. He had his mask up to his nose, cigarette in his hand, blowing out a puff of smoke. Y/N sighed and nodded, diverting her eyes again quickly, noticing that Ghost seemed to prefer his anonymity

"Yeah," she said quickly trying to convince herself to soothe her nerves.

"You're needed," replaying over and over in her head with Ghost's voice, making her heart flutter.

"I'm sorry I wacked out on you in the truck earlier," she said to him, still looking off into the sand in front of them.

"S' fine." was all he said approaching her standing next to her and leaning against the railing.

"Do you know how fucking tired I am of sand?" she asked trying to change the subject again from something less awkward. The view before them was a sea of sand, sand as far as the eye could see.

This made a rumble of a chuckle echo from within his shell of his gear. Oh, how she liked that sound.

"Me too."

The conversation between them seemed to end there, but she was ok with the silence that resonated from them. Y/N wasn't even sure of what to say next, so it was probably for the best anyways. She looked out at Ghost from the corner of her, seeing he was doing the same. His mask was down and cigarette had been stomped out.

"You lookin' at me?" she asked turning her head to better face him.

"I am." was all he said, making her cheeks flush, as she turned to look back ahead, avoiding letting him see.

The same chuckle sounded before, him turning to leave to go back inside. Her heart bounced around within her ribs, like a bird that had been let out of a cage, eager and some how still frightened. He saw her face turn red. She knew he did. She leaned her head against her forearms, internally groaning. Finally, after what felt like a half hour she went back inside, the same group of men sitting in their half circle, only this time Ghost had sat next to Soap.

"Lass," Soap said acknowledging she had come back.

She felt like she had froze, but still kept moving. She was having an out of body experience with his brown orbs glued to her again. Did she sit back down with them? Or go back to her cot?

"Think we should all go to bed," Alejandro said standing up, ready to dispel the group. Oh how she was grateful for his perfect timing. She took this as a moment to wave them all off as she headed back to her room, moving with such speed away from them all. Sliding the door shut on her private quarters she huffed, the feeling of relief washing over her. She wasn't exactly tired yet since her nap from when they got back earlier, so she took the time to document all that had happened within the past few days. It was her way of keeping things straight until the time to write her rendition of things that happened for Laswell and her uppers. This eventually made her tired, slipping out of her cargos and dirty shirt and into something more comfortable and crawled into her cot. Blanket and pillow pulled up to her, her eyes finally shut, sleep claiming her once more.

The noise from others is what eventually wakes her. The normality of the base. Talking, laughter and furniture moving. Y/N rolled out of bed, grabbing new clothes and prepared to head to the showers. The comfortable clothes she had wore exposed more of her skin, showing off the tattoos that she had up and down her arms and legs, along with the scars from battle she had gathered over the years. Her left arm and leg was adorned with black and white art, her right side was colorful and bright. Generally when she wasn't in her normal black long sleeves and cargos people tended to look, giving her pride in herself... but there was one man she wanted to avoid for it- his attention making her nervous.

She bolted into one of the 1 man bathrooms of the base, locking the door behind her. Happy that she had got past by anyone without being stopped. She started the shower, grabbing her essentials and stood under the water. The one thing she could give Alejandro's base is the water was always hot and seemed to have a plethora of it.

Once clean, and ready to get out, she stood under the water for a few minutes before turning it off. The water running off the dirt and blood from her sinful acts from yesterday, honestly, she probably should of showered last night before she got into her cot.

She redressed herself in her typical black long sleeve and cargos, recovering her tattoos. As she opened the door to the bathroom steam rolled out.

"Good lord Lass," she heard Soap say, watching the steam. "Shower hot enough for you?"

"Sorry, reminds me of Hell, I mean home," she joked, causing him to shake his head, but the same chuckle from last night rumbled out, Ghost not too far away but close enough to hear.

She scampered away, grabbing herself a cup of coffee from the kitchenette and grabbed her phone to call Laswell to check on her status.

The phone cycled through, ringing and ringing with no answer.

...Ok, she thought to herself trying to be rational, Maybe they are still out in the field.... She sat down at a table and tried to keep herself preoccupied for the time being, trying to find distraction.

Alejandro must of sensed her being distraught. "You ok, Beastie?"

"Can't get Laswell," she answered stirring her now lukewarm coffee.

"I'm sure she is alright."

"You got anything I can do? Keep me busy?" she asked for a task hoping for distraction.

"We need things from the market I can get you a list," Alejandro said hoping that would appease Y/N

"Sounds great," she said grateful for something to do.

Alejandro came back with a list, Ghost also following him.

"Here. I know you can handle yourself too, but its probably best you take someone with you, just in case. Ghost volunteered to go with you."

...Of course he would, she thought to herself Anything to get under my skin right?

She took the list and glanced it over, most of the items needed in bulk to feed the Vaqueros. Alejandro walked away leaving her to look up at Ghost.

"Ready?" he asked, which she nodded to, following him to the truck.

"You want to drive this time?" She shook her head, letting him as she climbed into the passenger seat, staying quiet.

Thankfully Ghost didn't say anything about her silence, taking her further into town to the market. She had no problems finding the meat and vegetables along with the corn and flour to make their own food. She haggled with some of the vendors, showing them she wasn't just a basic American. Ghost watched her from the back, unbeknownst to her, Ghost had a smile on his face. He truly did admire her.

She checked her watch and noticed that only and hour and half had gone by.

"I'm gonna keep looking at stuff if that's ok."

Ghost nodded, prepared to follow her around.

She looked through the other vendors finding one with jewelry, a turqoise set catching her eye.

"Didn't take you for a jewelry type," Ghost commented.

"I'm not, my mom is." she said picking up the piece planning on paying for it.

"Your mom?" Ghost asked, this for some reason shocking him.

"Yeah," she said glancing over at him. She didn't realize he was sentimental for that because he missed his mom.

The vendor for this store was a small older woman.

Y/N set the turquoise pieces down on the counter planning to pay for it.

"Your man should pay for it. Bad luck for a woman to buy her own jewelry." The vendor told her.

"Eh- He isn't my man, this isn't for me," she said noticing Ghost walking beside her and pulling out his wallet.

The vendor seeming to ignore her, took the money from Ghost leaving Y/N to bore her eyes into the side of his head.

"Ghost," she said firmly.

"It's fine," he said taking the now bagged up jewelry set and handing it to her.

"It is most definitely not fine."

"Oh, get over yourself, take it as an apology from yesterday. Besides, its for your mom right?" He said taking her breath away.

Did... did he just tell her to get over herself and put her in her place? "At least take my money for it," she said lightly, trying to remember Soap's words from yesterday.

"No." was all he said turning around waiting for her to follow him.

She sighed, frustrated with him, but still smiled.

"Thank you."

The ride back home still filled with silence, but she welcomed it from him, it was their normal.

"You know Spanish." The realization hitting her, making him smirk under his mask.

Taiju smirked slightly, still smoking his cigarette feeling your hands going over all four pockets “I mean I’m not one to stop you sweety but if you’re trying to rile me up you’re hands need to be more here” he grabs your wrist guiding your palm on his crotch you felt his dick jump a bit to tease you into showing where it’s at. On the mic the order taker holds up his pad “ok order number 78, 9 tacos asada, 3 quesadilla pastor, tres tortas y carnitas and your 3 large limonadas are ready” you clapped all giddy trotting over towards the large bags of food you ordered.

The ride back home was you just singing off-key to your Spotify Playlist while Taiju contemplates cutting you off again and begging the other two to not hand over their cards.

Curiosidades de Xuware 🌕

⭐ Mide aproximadamente 1000m (es lo que mide kingdom tower en jeddah).

⭐ Su pasatiempo es hacer ejercicios de caligrafía, normalmente lo suele hacer cuando está ansioso y eso también explica la buena letra que tiene.

⭐ No sabe cómo actuar ante ciertas situaciones por lo que suele desesperarse cuando algo pasa (un ejemplo de esto sería la vez que Nay se estaba ahogado con un satélite, xuware intento de todo para que lo escupiera pero nada funcionaba por lo que se desespero y se puso a llorar de la frustración, al final Nay logro escupir el satélite y xuware puedo calmarse).

⭐Es muy organizado con sus cosas, su cuarto siempre está limpio y ordenado, incluso tiene un calendario con las actividades que tiene que hacer día a día.

⭐ Es demasiado perfeccionista, si algo no sale "perfecto" el se verá obligado a hacerlo de nuevo hasta que salga como el quiere.

⭐ Suele sobre pensar demasiado las cosas a tal punto de que se hace ideas erróneas o crea escenarios que simplemente es imposible que pasen y al final los planes que tenía se va al carajo ya que, debido a esas ideas deja las cosas a medias.

⭐ Es muy inseguro de si mismo, simplemente no confía en sus capacidades, se suele subestimar demasiado aunque a simple vista parezca todo lo contrario, todas esas inseguridades las suele cubrir con un sarcasmo y un autoestima alta.

⭐ Aunque no lo admita el tiene hermanos preferidos y esto se puede ver claramente con Nay y como interactúa con ella, la trata como una niña consentida, comprándole todo lo que quiere, en muy pocas ocasiones la a regañado por las cosas malas que hace (aunque esto más que nada se debe a que ella es muy distraída y suele romper cosas por accidente, hay veces que no presta atención a lo que debe de hacer y lo hace mal o se la pasa preguntando un y otra vez que es lo que tiene que hacer), en cambio con algunos de sus hermanos suele ser menos tolerante.

Edith Hernández Gutiérrez es una artesana de cuarenta años de edad y a su mamá, María Soledad Gutiérrez, se le con- sidera la fundadora de la artesanía con hoja de maíz en la entidad.

El totomoxtle, conocido comúnmente como la cáscara u hoja que cubre la mazorca, se usa normalmente por los campesinos para dar de comer a los animales, otro de los usos más comunes es para la elaboración de los tradicionales tamales, pero se han descubierto muchos beneficios en el arte de las manualidades que se pueden obtener de esta hoja, así las personas obtienen un mejor desarrollo económico para el progreso del núcleo familiar.

Actualmente se desconoce la fecha en que realmente surgió la idea de usar hojas de maíz para crear manualidades, entre los diferentes diseños que se pueden elaborar del totomoxtle podemos mencionar algunos como arreglos con flores de toda índole, algunas figuras como cristos, payasitos, angelitos, aretes, ramos, novias, bailarines, imágenes religiosas y hasta vestidos de novia, todos con este material único

Join us for an afternoon of “Botanas y Bebidas” at our Dia de los Muertos celebration at Salum Restaurant (4152 Cole Ave, Suite 103, Dallas, Texas, 75204) on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Executive Chef Abraham will prepare an array of traditional small bites known as botanas, including mini chicken flautas, shrimp aguachile tostadas, wild mushroom quesadillas, albondigas en pasilla, tacos de rajas, mini pambazos, tacos de cochinita pibil, black bean and chorizo croquetas, and assorted desserts. There will also be wine pairings and a fun tequila tasting! 

The entertainment doesn't stop with the delicious bites! We will also host live and silent auctions, including the pictured vintage chalkware lamp and a signed/numbered 18 x 21 inch print of “It wasn’t us” by Vic Granger. Be sure to come dressed to impress for our costume contest! You might just win a prize!

Tickets are extremely limited and $100 per person. The proceeds from this event will, of course, go towards our ongoing operational needs including vet bills and other hound related expenses.
