Because he was restless -- so restless, in fact, that Soulburner couldn’t even explain why he felt so nervous and antsy all of a sudden, but the source of it was in here. Something was calling him inside Link VRAINS and this anxious, impatient, irritating feeling wouldn’t let him go back home until he’d found out what. 

“ Hey, I know this is probably gonna sound like a dumb question, but- ” he’d finally speak up again. “ Do you ever get the feeling like you’ve gotta be somewhere, even if you don’t know why you’ve gotta be in that ‘somewhere’? But you’re there because you feel like something big’s gonna happen? ”

Because that was him -- and he wouldn’t have been surprised if Mako wouldn’t have hauled off right then just to smack him because of how irrational it’d felt, too.

But Zack would still say that with a grin; an obvious, light hearted tease to make sure the mood didn’t shift to something more tense. He doubted it would, especially when a smile would accompany his hand already shifting up to wait for whatever she wanted to give him.

Though even Soulburner would admit, he’d be the first one there to scoop a rejected Alanna off the ground if her board decided to put up a fight. For all of here practice, she still had a long way to go sometimes before he’d be able to call her ‘comfortable’ on one of the online hovercrafts.

But besides Alanna’s ongoing feud with her D-Board-

Soulburner knew he could handle a data storm or two, but could Alanna?

「1. oKAy ok! Awkward meeting I think would be funny as hEck. Idk, maybe Seto brought Diva along to the vrains dimension as a pitstop to another world or to run some experiments there-- and hmmm maybe they both keep it secret and act as 100% colleagues so that’s what the girls think, only for one to catch them holding hands for a brief moment or something because they thought no one was around and fell into an old habit and they either get called out there, or one of them pulls Diva aside to ask if it’s actually a romantic thing XD.

2. Cub wise, hi yes, Diva is totally great with kids as well (tho having a collective of them at one point probably helped lol) so like?? Short lil smoft of Diva hanging out with them and stuff? Maybe showing Hiko his Cubic cards and explaining Dimension summoning, lil stuff like that? Talking shit about Seto behind his back.

3. Thought for Kiku because she loves gardening, maybe she could teach Diva some stuff about that--his diet is mostly vegetarian, so it would be something of interest for him to learn a bit more about! (tho in Domino would be stuck with only pot gardening lmao)」

Link Vrains had changed a lot. Earth wondered how much of this was due to the humans, or if the network had just grown on its own. But he supposed that would remain a mystery. It wasn’t exactly like he could ask anyone. As he observed the players clustered together off in the distance, he wondered if anyone he knew was among them. Not that it mattered, for safety reasons he couldn’t make contact anyways.

Speaking of, he could hear someone getting a little too close to his location. Earth ducked down under one of the outcroppings of the floating island he was currently occupying, counting on whoever it was to pass over him as usual. Aqua would certainly chew him out if he was seen.

She hadn’t, of course. Odd-Eyes had pulled one of a Pendulum monster’s best tricks and had come back for a encore performance, but she’d still put up a good fight regardless! Maybe instead of a ‘thank you’ though, he should’ve been apologizing for how quick his dragons had managed to snag their win.

Ya’ll need to learn to accept all of a character’s personality traits. 🍌 - What drew you into the fandom in the first place? Honestly, being an Egypt nerd into anime? The characters and world building, plus a good soundtrack (top three things that’ll get me to give anything a try, even if I’m not initially a fan of the artwork, ask anyone who knows me! lol). And then it was both of my ex’s (one who got me into roleplaying in it in the first place and the other who kept me into it). It’s also through YGO that I met my favourite Pom

Send ⁉️ for muse to awaken in the home/land of yours with no memory of how they got there.

This was the second time in her new chance at life to wake up someplace with no idea of where she was or how she’d gotten there. At this point she’d chalked the first time up to just... wanting to be more then just the dragon again. To be human and more useful then as a card; a wish come true perhaps.  There was nothing like that, this time. No need for things to change because things were good and stable. Shakily the woman stood, feeling for all the world a newborn with the way she stumbled. Was it just a symptom of whatever had happened? At least she was dressed in more then tattered clothes this time; still dressed in calf-high leather boots over a comfortable pair of light colored jeans, paired with a semi-form fitting tank top and a dark blue cardigan over top. Which was what she’d worn to work that day. Had she not made it to work? Was Kiseki going to be worried? That thought alone put a bit of pep in her step and she moved to try and get her bearings right. Only to find she was no longer in Domino City at all, nor any city she could place. Where in the world was this?!

Not that she was complaining - it let her get away from things she’d rather not think about too much. 

She made to turn to the sink to rinse her cloth, but movement outside stopped her.

30 UNCOMMON CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT QUESTIONS ( SEND ME A NUMBER )

2. DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY NOTEWORTHY FEATURES? FRECKLES? DIMPLES? A SCAR SOMEWHERE UNUSUAL? ETC.

Reno’s got a few freckles, but they usually go unnoticed due to them being hidden underneath his work suit. He’s also got a few tattoos, the most noticeable ones being the two that run along the high portion of his cheekbones and the rest also hidden underneath his suit. There are a decent amount of scars scattered along his upper body, thanks to the harder missions where combat is highly most likely and the occasional explosion or two involved in a few other missions.

4. DO THEY HAVE ANY VERBAL TICS? DO THEY HAVE TROUBLE PRONOUNCING CERTAIN WORDS OR GETTING THEIR THOUGHTS ACROSS CLEARLY?

A main verbal tic that Reno has is his habit of adding ‘yo’ at the end of every other sentence when he speaks. He never really bothers on how that came to be, but he’s done it since he was young so it just kinda became part of his everyday routine. As far as pronouncing words, he’ll struggle with words that he believes are ‘too fancy’ for his own vocabulary (moreso that he’s too lazy to repeat). When it comes to his thoughts, it would depend on the situation: If he’s not under stress or in a rush can he provide clear thoughts, but whenever he needs to think quick or is in a rush to get his thoughts together is the times he’ll fumble just for a minute or two before focusing on what it is he is trying to say.

5. WHAT ARE THEIR CHIEF TENSION AREAS?

Considering he spends a vast majority of his time running around during his missions or even scaling a wall or two when the opportunity arises, these areas would most likely be his back, arms, shoulders and heavily on his knees and legs.

19. IF YOUR CHARACTER WAS SUDDENLY CHALLENGED, WOULD THEY RATHER RUN AWAY OR STAY AND FIGHT?

It’s extremely rare when Reno would ever flee from a fight almost instantly, seeing as he’s normally the type the guy that after a few rounds he will still go and ask ‘is that all you got’. The few times it can be expected he would run away is when he is positive as fuck that he is outnumbered, overpowered (these two options would most likely be due to being able to find or call for back up) or if it’s a monster that seems could kill him in a quick hit or two.

Kiku would probably noticed the small, subtle flinch her voice had caused in him as it’d cracked the silence of the pier, too. Takeru wasn’t really a jumpy person, but sudden noises and not knowing when someone had obviously follow him? It’d definitely been enough to make him like that for a split second.

But he also knew better than to try to hide anything from someone like Kiku, too; so Takeru would finally shake his head.

“ Not really. Just...could sleep for some reason. So I figured I’d come out here for awhile before the weather got too cold for me to be able to do stuff like this. Y’know? ”

“Uh, stop meeting like what exactly...?” Because the confused blink she’d get back would almost scream that Zack had no idea what she was talking about. Had they met somewhere before this, or...? 

“Do you usually get stuff out of this vending machine, too?” Though something told Zack the machine he was looking to get a drink out of wasn’t the reason he’d seemed familiar either.

The hug would be a quiet one with a show of affection a lot softer than Takeru was probably known for around his hometown. Something about Kiku and her concern for him like that always seemed to bring out the best in him.

—Even if his embrace would only give his arms barely enough time to rest against Kiku’s back before he’d stepped back again. A ‘going away’ party in his living room wasn’t exactly the best place for him to get uncharacteristically mushy with a girl.

“You don’t think I look too ridiculous like this though?” Takeru would pause to give a tug at his hair. His new style would definitely take some getting used to. It wasn’t the brushed back spiked cut he’d been wearing for years until then, but-

“I know why I needed the glasses, but did we really have to go this far to get me ready for high school in Den City? I’m not even going there school.”

How embarrassing! Did he really drop his whole entire deck box and not notice? If he had kept going without having any clue, he probably would’ve had a mental and emotional breakdown later on. Losing his ace monster to a thief was already taking a toll on him- losing his deck would mean an inevitable game over!

Tsukiya wasn’t the type to thank people or admit that he was helped. But this time… This time, he was obligated to utter words of gratitude. 

Once rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, he gave a brief bow.

“Ahh, thank you. I didn’t notice that it came off.”

Aqua really shouldn’t get involved. She knew that. It would be endangering all of the Cyberse World if she made contact with a human again. It was exactly for this reason that the ignis’s decided to stay out of sight best they could. But... There was no one else around. And probability-wise it was unlikely this person was from SOL technologies. Peeking out of her hiding spot in one of the quieter parts of the network, the water ignis made her presence known.

“U-Um... excuse me, are you lost by chance?” she asked softly. 

This human looked so out of place in Link Vrains, not only by their appearance, but also her demeanor. Perhaps this was her first time logging in. Or perhaps she was just a new player. Still, Aqua couldn’t help but want to at least offer some help. For what if the human didn’t mean to be here at all?
