[????]:
Well, this was awkward. Having the name of his dragon suddenly repeated back at him made Yuya realized just how silly admitting that he’d let one of his cards carry him across dimensions again—no matter how true it was!
Tumblr media
“Just a friend!” Yuya eventually answer, “He’s usually the reason why I end up in places like these in the first place, though I’m still not really sure how he does it.”
Reiji’s dimensional transport system was one thing, but Odd-Eyes seemed to have a mind of his own sometimes as Yuya quickly pulled out the dragon’s card to show.
“…That’s probably not the best explanation of how someone like me ended up here though, is it?”
“A very powerful friend, it would seem,” the young woman replied with a small smile. “To have you traverse to new places.” She didn’t know the abilities of many duel monsters off hand but that sounded like quite the friend to have. At the sight of the card she now had a face, of sorts, to go with the name and there is recognition in her eyes. And amusement on her face at Odd-Eyes being a dragon. She didn’t know Odd-Eyes personally but she was at least acquainted with most of the dragons. “Perhaps now,” she began in reply to his question; amusement having yet to waver. “But then again I can’t say too much in regards to oddities. My own appearance in Domino isn’t exactly what many would call normal either.”

[Seto]:
He would have had the speed to snatch the card back up before she could touch it, but he did appreciate that she didn’t. Not that he would have thought anything would have happened. Blue Eyes wasn’t like one of the gods that the system always struggled to summon. Just a card.
That once, long ago he did anything necessary to get his hands on all three.
“I’ve met many people, and many I do not like, and they don’t like me, and thus, best to avoid them.”
He glances over at his lizard who’s still got his face pressed up against the glass as if he saw a juicy inset right outside his terrarium.
Kaiba returns Blue Eyes to his deck box.
“Anomalies bother the scientist part of me, however. And there is much I’d still want to understand. But that is secondary to my own research. Other than that, very well.”
A large part of him still was questioning if this was some even more bizarre dimension mess that managed to slip through a rift in time and space or something. But if it were true, he would want to at least know who had been the origin of the dragon he’d sought out for years as a child. More than those random, brief flashes of memories.
“Where are you–or how are you existing in this dimension then? You knew no one before?”
Kisara understood the importance of her card to him, at least subconsciously, and those it was her appearance on the card; the card itself belonged to Seto. Which meant she didn’t have permission to touch. So she’d made sure to do her best to not do as such, though she’d come close. Perhaps once day. “Fair enough. You would know people better then I, after all.” She’d concede that but wasn’t he even if the littlest bit curious about her? Enough to want to know more even if nothing more came from it? She wouldn’t mind a friendship with him, though. If she were honest. At least he finally seemed on board with getting to know one another. If only to satiate scientific curiosity. She’d count it a small win. “No, I knew no one.” A correct guess on his part. “When I came to in this realm, I was found by a nice woman who runs a book shop. She took me in, gave me a job and one of the apartments above said shop to live in. I’ve been in her employment for about two years now?” If her grasp on time was correct. Time didn’t much exist in the Shadow Realm so having to get used to it after so long was still a bit of a struggle. She had to admit though, without help from Kiseki she wasn’t sure what would have happened to her. Would someone else have found her and taken her in? Would she still be on the streets struggling to learn about the world she’d been put into? These sorts of questions, admittedly, kept her up at night sometimes. “I... owe her a lot.”

[Mokuba]:
“Huh… I mean I guess it’s up to you?” he said when they had both obtained surgery goodness. He figured you couldn’t exactly miss something you didn’t know, kind of like how Mokuba didn’t really have any feelings on his mom, because he never knew her.
But still, not knowing your entire life? It would have itched at Mokuba’s mind even if someone nice like Kisara was talking about took him in.
There’s a nervous laugh at the apology though.
Tumblr media
“Oh you’re good, you’re good. Trust me, I’ve had a lot of weird stuff happen to me and my brother and sadly a lot of it could compete with what you’re saying.” He crunches on the chocolate for a moment longer.
“Though, I mean maybe at least let someone know so they can keep an eye out if family or friends are every looking for you I guess?”
“That is a valid point...” Though in the end no one would be looking for her. Well, not in the human realm anyway. There was no telling if any of the other duel monsters would, or if they’d even notice her missing. She didn’t know which thought upset her the most. “Though now, I’ll admit, you have me quite curious what weird stuff you have seen if an amnesiac woman who’s made peace with no knowledge of her past isn’t weird enough for you.” There was slight amusement in her voice, very slight, that was easily drowned out by taking a bite of her own ice cream. She would definitely have to come back to this place.

 @eyesofblue-heartofgold ★ ★ closed starter!
“…” Hopefully she wouldn’t catch him staring, but Yuya couldn’t help himself. The girl in question just stood out; though he quickly pulled his attention back when Yuya realized his laser focus would’ve been something Yuzu probably would’ve fanned him over. Maybe the strange girl could help him though?
Tumblr media
“Hey, uh…sorry if I’m bothering you or anything, but could you tell me where I am? I think Odd-Eyes might’ve made us take another wrong turn again.”
She had caught him staring, Kisara perhaps perceptive to that sort of thing, but it didn’t bother her in the least. It should have, maybe, but between past and current times it was just a way of life. Not many people were used to pale skin and hair that could almost be made of moonbeams. Still she paid him no mind until he finally spoke up, blue eyes turning to the young man with quite interesting hair. Green and red was not a combination she’d really seen here in Domino. “No bother at all~” she replied with a smile, setting aside her book. “You’ve found yourself in Domino City.” He looked a little young to be raveling about, she found herself thinking before the rest of his statement caught her attention. Odd-Eyes...? Why did that sound familiar? “Who’s Odd-Eyes?” Kisara found herself asking before she could stop herself.

[Aigami]:
There’s a an awkward chuckle at her question. “I suppose you have a point there. It’s a bit of a complicated job, sometimes there’s steady progress, and sometimes there are weeks of nothing.”
Could one say they enjoyed trying to crack the secrets of dimension travel? Possibly? Perhaps if it had less stakes involved.
It made sense that people would know of Kaiba, though now that Diva had been on the inside of the company’s workings it was a pleasant surprise to find that Kaiba wasn’t a slave driver. Stern and had high expectations, of course. But not unreasonable. Or, so it seemed for most his employees at the very least. Either it was the truth, or they signed a hell of a disclosure agreement.
Tumblr media
“He has high expectations, that’s for sure. But he’s not been too bad. You just certainly can’t slack off. Oh, the train’s coming in.”
The echoes of the wheels as well as the brakes activating could be heard as the cars slowed to a stop. At least they had missed rush hour, there were few people inside.
“There’s another thing that’s hard to get used to, mornings you get way too cozy with your train neighbors,” he laughed as he stepped inside.
“Do you still get paid for those three weeks of nothing?” A curious question. She’d like to think so since there was still work going on, she would assume anyway, but it still seemed like a valid question. “That’s good to know, though. That he isn’t a bad boss.” She’d not heard anything of a high turn-over rate from Kaiba Corp. so clearly he was doing something right. Considering the standard to which he held himself, it made sense that he’d hold his staff to similar regards. Her gaze turned to the train as it pulled in, wincing at the sound of the brakes activating to bring the large vehicle to a stop. Her hearing wasn’t so above humans but it was definitely better and the sound always grated just a bit. She couldn’t imagine how dog-like monsters would handle the noise if they were in the human realm. “Rush hour is the worst and I find myself grateful to live above my place of work,” a sympathetic reply as she followed her new... friend? into the train car. “I’ve had the... pleasure of having to take early trains for longer deliveries, so I know the pain. But it is the most efficient way to travel often, so I can’t blame people. Especially if they can’t drive.”

[Seto]:
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed his lizard’s movements but opted to ignore it. Perhaps he was hungry?
Kisara words just deepened his train of thought. What was he even supposed to say here? Even if everything she was saying was true?
“You don’t owe me anything.”
He takes his deckbox out of his coat pocket, shuffles, and topdecks Blue Eyes. “I still have plenty of doubts of your connection to this card. He places the card on the desk and spreads his hands.
“I am not your priest, and I have a largely boring life since I stepped back from dueling. I believe you would be better off trying to make friends with other people. People who are good at that stuff,” he says with a dismissive wave. His tone wasn’t malicious, for he didn’t mean it rudely. If she was truly Blue Eyes, if anything he had admiration for her strength and that was all he really knew of her.
One wouldn’t exactly call dimension travel boring, but it had become so ingrained in Seto’s life it was nearly normal to him at this point, and thus, boring.
“There’s really not much to know about me.” Not things that he’d tell anyone, anyway. “I’m an inventor, a game designer and developer primarily. And of course the owner of his company, and that’s all that’s important. What else could you want to know?”
“I... suppose I don’t.” So why did she feel like she did? Was it an obligation to Set’s memory? Or perhaps a feeling of duty considering Seto was now the holder of her spirit? It hurt a bit, to think she had no place in this man’s life. Perhaps, honestly, she wouldn’t have even had a place in Set’s life. She’d not had much of a life before but was enjoying this chance at one now, no matter how it had come to her. “But I didn’t say that I did either.” She was surprised at how firm her words had sounded. “I said it was what you deserved. A chance to be known as someone other then the priest.” Especially by someone like her, who was still stuck in the past in so many ways. More fingers danced lightly against Fafnir’s home, as if playing with the lizard, as her gaze once more sought his. “I like that you presume that I have friends, though, or am capable of making friends.” She hadn’t yet, Kiseki aside. “And thus that I would know how to even find people good at that sort of thing.” An amused smile as she tilted her head in thought. “Unless you count stray cats and house lizards.” It was has her head tilted that she got a better look at the card he’d placed down on the desk and she paused. So this was what she looked like in this time. A small rectangle with a striking image of her monstrous form in a smaller box like frame on the card. Well taken care of but then she expected no less from Seto Kaiba. “Short of seeing if that form is available to me in this realm, there isn’t much I can do to prove my connection to the card.” Her hand pulls from Fenfri’s terrarium to reach out for the card before stopping inches away. She’s not... experimented with interactions with the cards, though Kiseki had a few of her own. Would... anything happen? She was afraid to find out. “There is a human behind all that you do, Seto Kaiba. Isn’t getting to know that person enough? I’m not asking to be friends, exactly.” Perhaps not yet. “Just two people trying to figure one another out.” “You can always say no. And I will abide by your choice.” A finger nail tapped at the very bottom edge of the Blue Eyes card, her gaze once more on Seto’s face as her chin came to rest on her other palm. He was, in a sense, her master after all. She would obey his decision. Plus it was just proper practice to take “no” for what it was; a no.

[Aigami]:
“Oh, no problem. I only wish I could have given you a bit better information,” he said with a small chuckle.
Though what she asks makes him put more thought into how to answer. Diva certainly hadn’t expected to end up here again, and yet… he didn’t know what awaited most of his future. Sure, progress was being made in the dimension research but still…
Tumblr media
“Not too much, I wasn’t expecting to do so, and I did have to leave my sister and brother to come here for my job and graduate school. But I’m somewhat used to it. However, it seems sans visits my stay here will be indefinite until my job comes to a close. It’s a research project of sorts, so I’m unsure of how long it will take to complete.”
That was probably the best way to explain that he was trying to crack the code of the universe, right? Couldn’t sound crazier compared to other things.
“I’m working at Kaiba Corp and I’ve heard they run you hard, so.” he joked with a laugh.
“Mmmnm~ Any information is good information and a wonderful starting point.” Would her smile ever fade? Probably not, she was a young woman who liked to shower the world in smiles even if her life had been nothing but hardships. Or her past life anyway. She wasn’t supposed to remember anything after all. But perhaps that made it even easier to smile always. She was surprised to hear about him leaving behind family to come to Japan to work and go to school, though she wasn’t sure what graduate school entailed... Something to ask Kiseki about later. “I don’t know much about research jobs, I’ll admit, but it does seem like they are very long and involved jobs.” She’d met one customer who’d been in his field for twenty years and still going! It seemed so mind blowing to her. “But if you enjoy your work, that’s all the matters right?” At the mention of Kaiba Corp, however, the young woman seemed to start a bit before seeming to settle back just as quick. “With a business man like Seto Kaiba at the helm I can’t say I’m surprised. He takes his work very seriously.” Was she more referring to his duels then his actual job? Sure but that was because it was how she knew him best. But she also had no doubt that his seriousness bled heavily into his work ethic. She very much admired her not-Priest.

[Mokuba]:
“Ooh, well chocolate chips are always good! Or if you aren’t allergic I love putting pecans in mine,” he advised.
Everything was going so normal until the next piece of information was revealed. She… was joking, right? There wasn’t any other thing Mokuba could think of. But given all the craziness he had experienced before…
Tumblr media
“Uh…maybe you should go to some missing persons investigator or something? Maybe they could find out who you are from that. Or uh… I don’t really know, but I’m sure someone out there can aid you.”
Yes, this was a totally normal conversation to have, and the younger Kaiba was trying to not freak out at the idea.
“Chocolate chips?” she echoed, perking a bit at the idea. She’d become fond of chocolate chips, keeping a bag within her pantry for snacking purposes. “Now that could be something interesting to try.” She and nuts were still getting used to one another. She could fuck up some walnuts though. “Ah...” A slender finger moved to scratch at her cheek. “I’ll admit I maybe should. It’s something myself and my... care taker? companion?” Employer? She still didn’t have an idea of how to refer to the woman who’d taken her in. “Have discussed before but when it comes down to it, I don’t have many memories either, so the information that might be helpful just isn’t really there.” If she was bothered by the lack of information regarding her past, Kisara didn’t seem to show it. “If I remember anything of use I might look into it. But I’ve also kind of made peace with the knowledge I might not ever know.” At least until she could potentially find the trust to tell people what she really was. A moment of silence before she gave an apologetic smile to the shorter male. “Sorry... I guess that’s a lot of weird information to dump on someone you just met...”

[Seto]:
That was a lot to take in, and Kaiba’s fingers tapped on his hand while he processed everything. Unbeknownst to him, his lizard Fáfnir was pressed up close to the glass in his terrarium off to the side, almost as if he were interested in the conversation.
“I don’t say this often, but I feel like I need a drink after that.” Not that he’d get one, he didn’t care for alcohol that much. “You sure you aren’t just… I don’t know, having delusions Ms. Blue Eyes White Dragon?”
He wasn’t actually expecting an answer from that, so he moved on. If it weren’t for recognizing her from those visions he would have referred her to a doctor ASAP. His shoulders raise and fall in a sigh. Maybe Mokuba would understand this better, but if he were in her shoes he would have just taken the new life and ran with it.
“So what’s the point of all this? Your end goal. Say you are who you are. As you can see I am certainly not your priest. I don’t duel publicly as much as I used to. And I really don’t need any help outside of that. I don’t exactly have a job slot for ‘spirt of a dragon’, nor would I hire for that.”
Kisara had noticed the lizard (a bearded dragon?) as she’d spoken but hadn’t allowed herself to be distracted by the beautiful child, this was important to get out after all. Once finished, strained laugh and all, however, a finger made it’s way towards Fafnir’s terrarium as sneakily as she could. His question, which he was moving on quickly from, had her eyes make their way to his face (and away from the lizard) before they narrowed as they had back on the street. That was to say in irritation and frustration. She could understand his asking, she could, but honestly did he really think she’d want to believe any of this? She knew she sounded crazy just “vomiting” it out for him from the memories she knew were honest and true. No sane person wanted to actually be a duel monster from the shadow realm. A wry smile at the question of her end goal, funny he should ask because honestly she’d not thought about it. Hadn’t believed she’d ever truly run into him like this. Domino wasn’t entirely a small city after all. “Your wit is as sharp as your dueling,” she replied, finger tapping lightly against the glass of the lizard’s home. “To be honest... I suppose initially it would have been finding a way to be useful to you, as Set. Or at least spending the time I didn’t get with him, if he allowed it.” So many things left unsaid, so many memories they could have made even as friends. “But knowing that you are not the priest I thought you were... I suppose there isn’t much I can do for you. You have no need for me in any capacity. And ultimately I’d have to be fine with that, you are your own person and I am only now starting to be my own. Which I guess.... there is no end goal. Not any more. Though... I...” A small, unsure noise as she turned her gaze fully back to the tiny dragon. “If it was okay with you, I wouldn’t mind getting to know the person who isn’t my priest. You, his reincarnation, deserve that much from someone like me.”

[Mokuba]:
“Awesome!” The teen gave a small bow in introduction before leading Kisara down the street.
Tumblr media
“Store’s this way, they have great toppings too! I definitely recommend getting them! I haven’t seen you around–er, big city I know, but where are you from? I’m guessing you aren’t from around here?” There wasn’t exactly a surplus of people with white hair.
He was a cute kid. Well not a kid really but considering how old the dragon was she couldn’t help but think of him in terms like that. Which she needed to stop doing because on the surface she didn’t look too much older then he did. “I don’t think I’ve ever really had toppings with my ice cream,” an intrigued response as she followed the young man down the street. “What kind would you suggest for a topping newbie?” Inquiring minds wanted to know. In more ways then one, it seemed, as Mokuba asked where she was from. Her brain automatically wanted to supply the right answer and she opened her mouth to reply before shutting it quickly. She had a cover and needed to use that. Couldn’t go around telling everyone she was a duel monster after all. Even if she felt compelled to tell him for some reason. “Actually, I’m not sure where I’m from.” A sheepish response that, hopefully played off from her attempting to answer him seconds prior. “It sounds silly but I just... kind of woke up here with no memory of anything about myself aside from my name. But if I had to hazard a guess, I’d say no. Probably not.”

[Seto]:
Kaiba gave a nod. At least the possibility of more dimension stuff was eliminated. Though the more Kisara talked, the more complicated things got.
“He’s a guy that looked like me. I’ve never been much of fan of the idea of reincarnation be it Buddhist, Hindu, or whatever. Even if his is my prior incarnation, he still seems nothing like me.”
But the mention of the dragon brought back the memory of that vision he got in Battle City, and he scowls at the thought.
Tumblr media
“I know… that apparently the priest was connected to you. And that you had some sort of connection to Blue Eyes, and that you died. That’s all I’ve seen.”
Whatever happened to the priest was none of Kaiba’s concern, nor care. Blue Eyes was in his possession because he took the dragon from people who didn’t deserve it. Because it was power. Power, and freedom.
“And it’s my ace monster of course.” But everybody knew that.
It was, unfortunately, very complicated. So much even she, some days, felt like she had to be imagining things. Had she just suffered such a loss of memory that her brain was making things up? She wasn’t sure entirely which she preferred to be the truth. The lizards, however, were a strong contender to what she was certain was the truth though. “In the case of you and your past self... It is definitely more of a reincarnation versus rebirth sort of thing. Which means there are very likely to be more differences then if you were Set himself. If that makes sense.” He had the looks and, as far as she could tell, presence of her priest; maybe even some part of his soul. But the personality was definitely different between the two and she wondered how much of that was because of Seto’s past? She supposed that was something they may never know so it wasn’t worth dwelling too much on. “But yes, the priest and I did have a connection. Enough of one that when I passed I left to him the spirit of the blue eyes.” Which was why Seto was inevitably drawn to it, why he could wield herself and the others with the skill he had. “Honestly I was certain that, at my death and the leaving of my spirit to him that would be the end but... I became aware of being the blue eyes at some point. I guess I became her? Or my conscious and her spirit fused or something?” She still hadn’t been able to figure that out but after so much time she stopped trying and just... was. “Regardless of the how and/or why, it was something I became accustomed to and I’d been living in the Shadow Realm since. But I was always aware of when I was of use to you, lived to help you in your battles. After some time I... wanted to find out about you. If you were fully Set or not; you have enough of his spirit but how much further did that go? I wanted to be more of a help to you then just battling.” Especially since he began to call on her less and less. “I still don’t know how it happened, or fully why, but about two years ago I sort of came into being in this body. I was found by a nice woman who was willing to take me in and help me grow accustomed to this world. As far as she knows I just have amnesia and all I could remember was my name.” A heartbeat of silence before she offered a slightly strained laugh. “As I said, it’s very complicated and I doubt this did little to help answer any questions...”

[Aigami]:
“Prose and Cons? Kudos to the owner for that name,” he said with a light laugh. He’d have to keep a look out for it. Especially for school at the very least.
Oh, this is were things got more complicated. Sure, he lived there now in a modern area, but before that it had mainly been under the tutelage of Shadi. And then after he’d traveled around a lot with the rest of the Plana, so it was a bit tricky.
Tumblr media
“Well, it’s very different from what I would imagine most learn in school. I didn’t quite live in the city, but not the middle of nowhere either. Still a lot of sand, but there’s also a lot more people. Going to Cairo for my flight was quite the adventure. The food is good of course, but other than that I don’t have too much to really tell you. I moved around a lot when I was younger. And well, still now apparently, ha.”
“I’ll make sure to pass those kudos along,” she replied, grinning a bit. It had taken her a little bit to understand the naming of the store but honestly... Once you understood it’s owner it didn’t take much. “She’s a very big fan of puns so of course she’d use one for her store name.” She was still not always great with picking up the puns, they sometimes fell flat with the young woman, but it was always nice to see Kiseki’s reaction whenever she did get it. But the unfortunate thing was, punning could be quite contagious and she was... trying not to fall into that trap. As he answered her question, which honestly she was touched that he did as such, Kisara nodded a bit as she listened. The sand, she doubted, would ever go away so it was good that some things hadn’t changed. And that it still seemed like many people lived there... Perhaps she’d have to take a trip at some point. A small shake of her head as he finished, and a small noise before she smiled brightly. “That’s okay, what you told me is a big help~” She could look up more later for sure. “Thank you so much for answering my question.” He really could have easily said no. “Does it bother you to still be moving around? Or are you here for the foreseeable future?” Was he going to be stuck continuing to move around, though likely more between Japan and Egypt, or was this place his new home even if not for good?

Dionysus: What sort of vices do they indulge in? Are they an outsider in their family? Gaia: How often do they dream? Do they eat well rounded, nourishing meals?
Send me a Greek God and I’ll answer!   Dionysus: I don’t think she really does at this time? I don’t think she even drinks, or hasn’t really tried to yet? She might, depending, be willing to throw some people into the shadow realm. Does that count? She doesn’t entirely have family so I guess no? She does count Kiseki as family, the closest thing she’s had in a long time, and the women happily accepts her. That may change if she confesses what she really is but for now she’s safe. Gaia: Perhaps not as often as most humans might but it has definitely become a more prevalent thing the longer she’s in the mortal realm. She has the same problem most humans have in that she often can’t remember her dreams, but sometimes she remembers them. Mostly the dreams of the desert at night, staring up at the stars in the sky. She does! Ever since Kiseki took her in she’s gotten a very good balanced meal for just about every meal. She’s definitely learned how to feed herself properly if nothing else. Kiseki makes it a point that they eat dinner together so at least one meal fits the bill but she likes to think she’s good at making sure she’s getting the proper nutrients.

Artemis: Do animals like my muse? Do they like nature? Ares: Are they quick to anger? In a fight do they let their emotions control them? Hephaestus: Are they known for a skill? How important is their appearance to them?
Send me a Greek God and I’ll answer! Artemis: Animals don’t seem to dislike her?? But few so willingly come up to her without working to prove herself to them. So far she seems to have the best luck with cats (who are really fickle creatures but seem to understand that she’s not inherently going to hurt them despite the weirdness she gives off) and lizards. Honestly she seems to have the best relationship, if you could call it that, with lizards. So much so that any natural little buggers tend to always find their way to the bookstore. It’s not a flood of them? But enough that Kiseki is starting to notice there are more lizards about then she’s ever noticed before. Kisara is a big fan of nature and everything is pretty much so new to her after so much time in the shadow realm. She doesn’t remember much of Ancient Egypt aside from really hot days and cold nights, so the changing of the seasons is fascinating to her. On days where she prefers to walk as opposed to run, she always makes sure her path takes her to the park where she can just sit and be one with nature. She misses the view of the stars from ancient times, the lights of the city make it hard to see them so clearly, but she loves watching the stars regardless. She might be able to be talked into camping or hiking some time in the future and she has a dream of getting to see the northern lights.
Ares: Kisara’s actually a pretty chill person and it kind of takes specific buttons to send her into full anger. Or much of any anger at that? But she has started to allow herself to show when she’s feeling annoyance or anger more clearly but those aren’t really something that is quick to happen. She’s not really been in a fight since she found herself in the mortal realm? Not that she’s one to really fight. So she can’t really say entirely? It would really have to boil down to the kind of fight, who’s involved or what’s been said. Now if it’s a fight in the name of her loved ones or those under her protection? Probably more then likely? But until such a time it may happen it’s unclear if it’s a definitive yes and how it may affect the outcome of the fight (negatively or otherwise). Hephaestus: Not really? And she doubts kindness is really a skill... She’d like to find something she’s good at one day though. Appearance isn’t overall that important to her? She likes to make herself presentable of course but it’s nothing life or death for her. Of course that could also stem from the fact she does have some self-esteem issues over her looks, born from her time in ancient Egypt. She knows there are ways to alter how she looks but as much as she struggles with how she looks she can’t bring herself to change those things about herself either. They are an important part of who, and what, she is. So she struggles and does her best to be presentable and find a way to be... content at best with how she looks while making sure to try and hide a lot of herself behind long pants and oversized jackets/long sleeves. She’ll also often braid or pull back her hair into a pony tail to keep it out of her way.
