Out of curiosity: why do you/what made you ship Swerve/Velocity?

I don't really ship stuff anymore so I'm curious :P

Ah! Well, I was doing one of my read-throughs of Lost Light and stumbled across the panel below—

Because my sister is quite the Swerve enthusiast, I tuned into this and thought that this COULDN’T just be a one-off interaction between these two. Lo and behold, there’s a good bit of evidence in the comics for them being friends or perhaps more in the future!

Just look at this… The tender little hand-hold…!

I think it’s a cute ship overall. Little husband and his big wife. They’re both silly, but also have some deeper insecurities that they deal with. I feel like they can lift each other up, and be silly about it too. <3

Things that could happen:

Swerve accidentally reveals something embarrassing that Minimus has said. Really loudly too. There’s no mishearing or thinking ‘oh he must have said something else.’ No, no— everyone in the general vicinity now knows that Minimus has danced on top of his desk once. Twice, even.

Velocity’s phone / comm device goes off at the worst time. She has her ring tone set to various songs (I can’t remember the one shown in the comics, alas!). Imagine dead silence or a serious moment. And boom. We’re all jamming out to Velocity’s ring tone.

Either Minimus or Megatron try telling a joke. It fails. Horribly. Someone help these two mechs.

I think it would be hilarious if Swerve & Velocity went on a double date with Minimus & Megatron. Just downright hilarious.
