i actually do want to talk about my genderweird benry. my thoughts on him flip flop depending on the context but like. specifically as somebody who hid behind being nonbinary for a long time and is now like HEY WAIT! [TESTOSTERONE BLAST]

benry, originally born some kind of agender alien thing (maybe he has a sex, not like it matters? hes one of a kind baby) who chooses to present masculinely but still doesnt feel like hes truly One Of The Boys because like. you cant just CHANGE what you are! (GUY WHO IS A SHAPESHIFTER) that would be stupid. to do that. completely. like it doesnt even occur to him and then gordon or somebody is like “you can change what you are” and hes like “HUH????????????” except nobody even knew he wasnt a guy to begin with. no idea this was even a thing for him. technically his pronouns had been they/them but mostly that was tommy helping him figure it out and its not like ben fucking. told people. or cared. so gordons been he/himming him all over the joint and i dont think anybody else stopped to ask him in the middle of getting gunned down hey, what are your pronouns btw? hilarity ensues and then ben affirms himself by getting fat and weird about it <4 THE END

been trying to rework my benry design... nothing special but i dont think this turned out too bad! i was gonna do more but my tablet pen ran outta battery so, possible design notes include; -eyes are either blue or brown. changes at random for no reason? -eyes also change color to match sweetvoice when he does it? -4 years later and i still dont know what to make his hair look like -in hl2 might have different face shape? matches barney more? idk !
