Being a fan of Kieran “Horsemen Apocalypse” Duffy himself, I of course fell in love with the four horses of the apocalypse in Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare. So here are just my interpretations of the designs! Some a bit different, others pretty similar to the originals, but ya know! Maybe I’m just being dramatic but it does legitimately scare and sadden me to see that a lot of transandrophobia truthers are literally just…young boys. Like, actual children. Like you’re not even old enough to vote yet and you have your whole life ahead of you and yet you are being manipulated into joining an mra group that hates trans women with a passion and thinks that men are oppressed in society for being men, and constantly uses Black men as their talking point in order to sound diverse and inclusive, meanwhile they’re also appropriating and misusing terminology specifically created by Black women to talk about our own oppression in order to get their misandry point across…to say nothing of the fact that the largest people in this group(including but not limited to its creator!) have misogynistic rape/detrans kinks centered specifically around preying on lesbians and trans women and this is something that is normalized and defended by the vast majority of transandrophobia truthers, or at least defended viciously by every single transandrodork that I’ve ever encountered who argued with me(a lesbian!!!) that actually there’s nothing wrong with getting off to the corrective rape of women because two consenting adults can do whatever they want in the bedroom(yeah right)! Not to mention I have yet to come across a transandrophobia truther who wasn’t also a raging die-hard Zionist.

And that’s why it disturbs me so much to see young trans boys jumping onto this transmisogynistic hate train like you guys realize these men don’t have your best interests at heart, right? They’re only going to manipulate you into being a sexist entitled asshat who shuns and bullies the trans women in your community and sees them as oppressing you. Like I know you’re still in middle/high school but you can still think for yourselves, you can choose to be better than this, you can choose to actually learn about feminism and realize that it’s not actually misandry that oppresses you, it’s transphobia. Misandry doesn’t suddenly become real because you slap a trans paint over it that’s not how it works that’s not how intersectionality works that’s not how any of this shit works. There are better trans men to talk to about trans issues who know that the patriarchy is real and don’t shit on trans women in order to speak out about trans topics, so go seek them out, okay? thinking about the scene where gojo suprises megumi and nobara by making yuuji jump out of a box to reveal his death had been faked. thinking about why gojo did it. thinking about how when gojo, geto, shoko, nanami and haibara were kids they would have been overjoyed to find out their classmate was alive.

how many nights did nanami spend wishing that haibara's death was some cruel joke? that he was actually alive and well? how many times did geto replay riko's death in his head, touch the ghost of the wounds toji left on his chest, wishing for the days that were long gone? how many times did shoko stand over another dead body in the morgue, a corpse of a friend she has to dissect for her education, wishing she had any other cursed technique but her own? how many times did satoru curse himself for being unable to prevent the grief that tortured his friends, despite being the strongest? what all of them wouldn't have given for such a morbid surprise. gojo probably perceived the itadori reveal as the happiest thing that could happen to a jujutsu high student.

thinking about megumi and nobara's reaction to finding out their dear friend is alive. thinking about how well gojo has raised his kids to make them understand that death is unnatural and a horrible thing, not simply a pat of a jujutsu sorcerer's life. that one has to be horrified at death, not accept it numbly. their reactions to yuuji faking his death was betrayal; how dare you keep this secret from us? and not blind relief.

thinking about the dissonance between these two generations of sorcerers, thinking about how death was so normal to gojo's generation and so horrifying to yuuji's generation, how this correction in their perception is all thanks to the students not being reduced to pawns in the hands of the higher ups. satoru wanted to prevent his students from succumbing to suguru's fate and this scene perfectly demonstrates that he had succeeded. he couldn't save his best friend, his one and only, but at least he saved his kids.

I know people tend to think that Dustin, Lucas, Max, El and some of the other characters will have a difficult time wrapping their heads around Byler because of the time period, but I kind of think it will be like a lightbulb moment for them where they're like "Ohhhh so *that's* why." I mean, maybe it should be difficult for Jonathan and Joyce to wrap their heads around it too because of the time period, but it clearly isn't. They recognize the love that Mike and Will have for each other and most likely see it as being "different" from what other people experience, but no less beautiful or valid.

I can see the other party members having a similar reaction. They will be open to and accepting of the idea that Mike and Will belong together, not because they haven't been influenced by the negative stereotypes they've been taught to associate queerness with, but because they've all had a firsthand look at what Mike and Will's relationship is really all about. Like in s2 when Will was having visions in his now memories, the party saw the way that Mike snapped him out of it, wrapped an arm around him, and took him home. Lucas saw Mike's devotion towards apologizing to Will and making things right with him in s3. Like, they have seen and probably subconsciously understand that Mike and Will love each other: they just don't have the tools to recognize what the relationship is yet. But as soon as they realize what it is, I don't think they'll struggle to accept it at all and will probably actually be the boys' biggest supporters and defenders.

That's the dynamic the party has had from the beginning. Dustin and Lucas aren't homophobic---they were fine being friends with and defending the "gay kid" even if it meant getting bullied or harassed. The party is a group of disadvantaged kids whether because of queerness, race, disability or poverty, and they all love and accept each other not just in light of their disadvantages but in part BECAUSE of their disadvantages. I think a beautiful part of Byler will be that the party will accept Mike and Will with open arms, and Dustin and Lucas particularly won't be weird about it all since they've seen this love growing and flourishing since the BEGINNING. I hope we get scenes of the four boys together where Mike and Will are unabashedly a couple but the group's friendship dynamic hasn't changed at all other than maybe growing stronger because of it. Lucas and Dustin will totally take up for Byler and defend them because they essentially always have.

Lucy internalized misogyny thoughts

I absolutely adore the way in which Lucy truly comes to appreciate the ways Holly is different from her - once she begins to recognize the value Holly has she's able to stop pushing against her and that let's her recognize that, more than being a valuable team member, Holly and Lucy's differences actually make them a particularly strong pair.

By the end of the series it's moved past even a grudging respect, those two are friends!

And I love that this friendship develops BEFORE Holly makes it clear to Lucy that she was never a threat to her relationship with Lockwood - instead that's something that gets revealed to Lucy BECAUSE they've become friends. To some extent their clash was about him, but they really become friends despite him and his dumbassery.

Lucy still has her moments of internalized misogyny (that's life) but the book depicts that really fundamental experience of being 'not like other girls' and then learning that other girls kinda rule in their own way. Which feels so incredibly REAL as a former not like other girls girly. I actually think the Holly and Lucy arc is a really great depiction of female friendship, especially at their age.

Noir

- He’s never been one to comment on a woman’s preferences, but this is certainly his.

- In a world where everything is black and white, other senses are used for stimulation.

- He will start kissing you on the neck more often, coming up behind you and swiping your hair over one of your shoulders to gain access to that little treasure trove of sensory bliss.

- He will give you little words of admiration here and there, telling you “you smell nice” or “I really like this new scent” or “it really suits you.”

- If you’ve just gotten out of the shower and your hair is freshly washed and still damp, he will hoist you into his arms and fall into bed with you, big spooning you so he can rest the front of his head against the back of yours.

Hobie

- Hobie definitely won’t mention it unless you bring it up first.

- You’d ask if he likes it, and he’d try to play it off by giving you a simple nod, but in the back of his mind he knows you’ve noticed the way he takes moments to get just a bit closer than normal.

- If the scent is some type of flower, he’ll start leaving them around for you to find, maybe in your living space or at work.

- If it’s some type of fruit or flavor, he’ll start eating those things more often. Especially around you, sending a subliminal message that he enjoys it and hoping you get the hint.

Miguel

- Some of Miguel’s other senses like sight and smell are heightened to make up for the missing Spidey-sense other Spider-people have.

- Even when you’re not standing right next to him, that scent lingers. It fills his head and sends his blood roaring through his veins.

- When he eventually gets you alone, he takes the opportunity to run his fingers through your hair, pressing his face into the side of your neck.

- “Are you trying to get a rise out of me, amor? Is that it?” “Well it’s working…”

Spot

- Even though he doesn’t have a face in the traditional sense, Johnny can still (somewhat) taste and smell.

- The poor man misses his hair, so he lives vicariously through yours. He likes to run his fingers through it, braid it, just touch it in general.

- When he finds out you’ve switched soaps, he’s all over it.

- He gives you random, awkward little compliments about how nice your hair smells, hoping to God he doesn’t sound like a weirdo… (he does, but you love him for it anyway)
