Lois: 2010s Swassic, loves brands like Baby the Stars Shine Bright and some Angelic Pretty thanks to Peter, is a lifestyler

Meg: Old school classic, switches between the traditional silhouette with all sorts of Gobelin designs or the underrated type of old school classic of Victorian style boots black ladder ribbon skirt white blouse and owns and assortment of corsages, gets called an ita by Peter regularly much to her dismay

Things that should be said in lolita more often

I hope to make a series of these, as someone who has been watching J-fashion evolve longer than some of you have been alive. Not a brag, (as my knees, hip and ankles can attest to) just a reality.

My first one is:

It's Okay to Alter Your Clothes and Accessories However You Want! For Whatever Reason!

Don't like those waist ties? Yeet 'em. Heart shaped charm not gonna work with your coord? Nip that thread. Barrette but you want a clip? Swap it out.

Personally, I despise anything that ties under my chin and when I got this Unideer fawn headpiece, they were the first things to go.

I also took out the combs because they will not work with my short hair and replaced them with clips. I will reattach a comb in the middle to provide additional support, though.

Doing this also allows me to use that ribbon to make bows for my future planned coord.

If you wanted to get into the fashion for the speculative value, you wouldn't be wearing it to begin with.

Change it however makes you happy and comfortable.

it's so liberating to just stop caring about what other people think about you when going out and just... be yourself i got a new lolita op dress for my birthday recently and spent the whole day out in a full coord and it was so awesome! sure, some people stared, but the one time i was approached was by a sapphic couple (who probably caught me on their radar cause i'm too weird to be straight) who came by to compliment me! i think i'll be doing that a lot more in the future!

Alois Trancy - Sweet Ouji??/Kawaii

Now, I know Alois isn't part of the "true" canon of Black Butler, but what is canon anyway, you know? We can all admit that even though the later part of Season 1 and PARTS of Season 2 slaps, And one of those parts is Alois Trancy. Now I had a hard time figuring out which style he would like the best (I spent like two days testing it out in my head and on Pinterest). But I settled on Ouji Lolita's style MOSTLY, but he'll be on the sweeter side than Ciel would be. (They'll either be the besets of friends or worst enemies modernly.) But he would also like Kawaii as well. I think he'll enjoy the pale colors (and the chance to be a child again.) He would be the friend that changes style every week cause he finds all of them pretty, I SWEAR.

Mey-Rin - Cottagecore/Light Academia

I love Mey-Rin; this is my girl. But it was PAIN trying to figure out what she would wear. I wanted to pay tribute to her assassin lifestyle but then remembered how grateful she was to become a maid because she got to wear skirts/dresses. Cottagecore-She would just LOVE the idea of always wearing flowy outfits. The Light Academia came second. It wouldn't be her MAIN style, but she would wear the aesthetic when trying to feel sophisticated. (I also feel like she would REALLY fuck with plaid pants; idk why). And obviously, some workout clothes cause you gotta keep those assassin skills sharp, you know?

Finny - Nature/Forest Boy & Goblincore

SHORTS. That's all that went through my head. I was trying to think of what Finny would wear. He'll love clothes; he knows he can dirty up outside in the field. (However, Ciel bought him a whole new wardrobe cause no servant of his will be walking around with dirt-stained clothing, nuh-uh.) Hence, pants (he only really wears them when they leave the manor), but he would LOVE the muted colors of green and brown cause they remind him of nature. (He'll also have some bright ass blue and yellow clothing because they remind him of the sky and sun, and he is always in those). I didn't know the EXACT name of what I was going for for him, so yeah, lol.
