We didn’t buy from Bee Cheng Hiang (美珍香) this year, instead sis made use of her NTUC Linkpoints to redeem one piece of White Lotus with Bakkwa Mooncake (肉干白莲月饼) for free. They are selling this single piece of mooncake without egg yolk for a shocking price of $25.50!!! The baked mooncake is filled with velvety smooth white lotus paste, crunchy melon seeds, and delectable bits of Gourmet Bakkwa. Somehow, I still preferred their Bakkwa Mooncake (肉干月饼) which is filled with melon seeds, nuts and bakkwa but no lotus seed paste.

InterContinental Singapore’s Man Fu Yuan (满福苑) unveils four innovative snow skin mooncakes, featuring citrusy and tropical flavours with vibrant hues, alongside a series of low sugar variations of their beloved baked mooncakes. The exclusive Snow Skin Mooncakes: Blossom and Botany (芬芳馥郁) are inspired by the vibrant hues and exquisite flavours of tropical fruits; the innovative creations promise an enchanting experience for the senses; all delicately paired with a chocolate truffle centre. Choose from Mangosteen and Flax Seeds with Pomegranate Chocolate Truffle (红紫山竹亚麻籽伴石榴松露球冰皮月饼), Coconut and Black Sesame Seeds with Passionfruit Chocolate Truffle (雪白椰子黑芝麻伴百香果冰皮月饼), Jackfruit and Quinoa with Lime Chocolate Truffle (青绿 菠萝蜜藜麦伴香柠檬松露球冰皮月饼) or Golden Peach and Pumpkin Seed with Lychee Chocolate Truffle (辉煌黄金桃南瓜籽伴荔枝松露球冰皮月饼).
Tumblr media
For those who do not like their mooncakes too sweet, Man Fu Yuan (满福苑) is proud to introduce low sugar variants of their baked mooncakes, retaining the authentic flavours of the beloved classics while offering a more health-conscious option for the festive indulgent. Received this Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolk (低糖双黄白莲蓉月饼) from one of our office’s suppliers. The mooncakes came in a Blush Elegance Leatherette Box featuring a delicate blush pink exterior with a sophisticated soft grey interior complemented with coral packaging that hold individual mooncakes, while Ivory Opulence Leatherette Box showcases a pristine ivory finish with a striking red interior that complements the radiant gold packaging.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally sliced up this Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolk (低糖双黄白莲蓉月饼). Without knowing the yolks placement within, I just blindly sliced it into quarters. As the knife reached the bottom of the mooncake, I can see the orange-coloured oil from the salted egg yolk staining the kitchen towel. A sign that the yolk is properly prepared and not dried out. The glistening yolks are a uniform orange and the lotus paste smooth looking with a thin crust around it. The lotus paste is smooth and velvety with gentle sweetness while the lightly salty yolk crumbled and melted away in the mouth. Overall, it is a nice snack to pair with my cup of less sweet milk tea.

Hello! I hope you a good day ❤️
Could you write something for Bruce Wayne × Reader along the lines of "I like strawberries" *the next day the kitchen is filled with strawberries*.
Like Bruce just randomly drops you gifts no note, no sign, he doesn't even give them directly to you
Title: A Berry Sweet Surprise
Tumblr media
Tags: Fluff, Bruce Wayne (slight ooc?), Female Reader, established relationships, Love languages  Summary: Bruce always manages to express his love in quiet, unexpected ways, showing that sometimes the grandest gestures are the ones whispered in the smallest details.  Word Count: 811 words  A/N: Alright I’ve been loving fluff lately...and I think this was such a cute idea Anon🥰 I hope you enjoy this as much as I loved writing it.
Tumblr media
The Manor as unusually quiet, the kind of peacefulness that seemed rare in a place that held so much history and chaos within its walls. Bruce and you found yourselves in the kitchen, enjoying the silence, sharing a soft moment amid a busy life. Alfred had recently brought a basket of fresh strawberries, their deep red hues and juicy scent filling the air.
After popping one in your mouth, you sighed, almost blissfully. “Gosh, I just love strawberries.”
Bruce looked over at you with a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “I’ll make a note of that.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “I didn’t mean it like that,” you replied, still savoring the sweet burst of flavor on your tongue. “They’re just… perfect, you know?”
Bruce merely hummed in agreement, his eyes lingering on you a little longer, as if to tuck the information away. It was the kind of quiet, thoughtful moment that didn’t need words — just understanding.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, you wandered downstairs, barely awake but ready for the comfort of a strong cup of coffee. The familiar smell of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the kitchen, courtesy of Alfred, who knew you and Bruce far too well by now.
But as you stepped into the kitchen, you stopped, your sleepy eyes snapping wide open. The counter wasn’t just home to your usual morning coffee. Instead, it was overflowing with… fruit. Not just any fruit, either — bouquets upon bouquets, bursting with fresh, plump strawberries. Strawberries in every shade of crimson, gleaming under the kitchen lights like clusters of rubies. They were arranged in decorative baskets, in artfully crafted bouquets, and mixed with other fruits like pineapple stars and melon blossoms, but overwhelmingly, gloriously… strawberries.
Your jaw dropped as you took in the sight. There wasn’t a note, no card explaining this small marvel of fruit, but you didn’t need one. A small laugh bubbled out of you, and you shook your head, pressing a hand to your mouth in delight.
Only one person would remember something so specific, so simple, and take it to heart like this.
“Oh, my,” came Alfred’s voice, his ever-present calm layered with a touch of amused surprise as he entered the kitchen. “I daresay he may have gotten a bit carried away this time.”
You chuckled, glancing at Alfred, who had already set a plate and coffee cup for you. “I love it,” you replied, already reaching for one of the strawberries. “And you know, sometimes I wonder if he’s trying to make you look bad with these grand gestures,” you teased.
Alfred, ever the gentleman, offered a modest smile. “As long as it brings a smile to your face, I won’t be taking offense.”
You took a seat, selecting one of the strawberries from the nearest bouquet, savoring its sweetness with a fond look. The taste seemed even sweeter, knowing exactly whose idea this was and how well he’d listened. It was the kind of thoughtfulness that felt more intimate than anything grand.
As if on cue, your phone vibrated, and you glanced down to see a message from Bruce.
“Did you get my gift?”
“I did. More than enough strawberries to last me a lifetime, you know.”
“Is that a complaint?”
You laughed softly, texting back, “Not at all. Thank you, Bruce. Really. I love it.”
There was a slight pause before he responded, almost as though he were carefully crafting his reply. “I’m glad. I like finding ways to spoil you.”
You grinned at the message, feeling your heart swell. For all the sternness and stoicism Bruce often wore like armor, this was a glimpse of the man beneath, thoughtful and deeply caring in his own way.
“You’re the sweetest.”
You could almost picture his smirk when he replied, “Don’t tell anyone.”
Alfred cleared his throat, pretending not to notice the faint blush that had crept onto your cheeks. “Would you like me to set aside a selection of these strawberries for later, or should I prepare them all now?”
With a warm laugh, you glanced over at the mountain of strawberries, feeling happier than you’d expected over something so simple. “Let’s save a few. I think Bruce deserves some of these later too.”
Alfred smiled knowingly. “Very well, miss. I’ll prepare the finest of the bunch.”
You nodded, popping another strawberry into your mouth as you thought about Bruce’s little surprise. It wasn’t grand or extravagant, but in its simplicity, it was perfect. It was the way he showed you love — quiet, thoughtful, never asking for anything in return. And that, you knew, was worth more than anything money could buy.
As you finished your breakfast, you found yourself already anticipating the next time you’d see him, wondering how to show him your own love in return — perhaps in ways just as subtle, just as sweet.

Ninjago Headcanons (Signature Scents)
Ninjago Headcanons of their Signature Scents that characters would have.
More Characters Found In (Part 2)
Lloyd
Lloyd's signature scent would have resembled that of incense sticks, used for prayer. Also with hints of tea leaves. He also has a slightly sugary smell to him. Guess he never grew out of that sweet tooth.
Cole
Smells earthy, woody, and a little musky, but warm and comforting, maybe with very subtle hints of vanilla. There's a certain heaviness to the scent. Nothing to over powering but definitely noticeable.
Kai
Smells of spices, a hint of whisky, an undertone of warm amber a scent that would warm you instantly. There's a hint of a scent of ash to him as well.
Jay
Smells of rain, the scent of a stormy night. I feel like he think it makes him more mature. He asked Nya to help him pick it out.
Zane
Smells of motor oil. In all honesty, I don’t think Zane would require cologne or have a personal scent. But I do like to believe that if he would smell of anything else than motor oil. He'd smell of fresh laundry, maybe with hints of Lavender, and mint.
Nya
Smells of the sea, with summery scents, and slightly salty undertones. I don't think she'd wear very feminine scents. But probably something with hints of water lilies. I feel like the scent reminds her of her mother.
Pixal
Pixal much like Zane in reality would probably smell like motor oil. But I’d like to think she’s made some form of invention that could help her obtain a signature scent to cover the smell. It would be citrus scent. Lemony maybe with an hint of orange blossom.
Skylor
Skylor would smell of cooking spices, specifically cinnamon and paprika with a hint of red wine, and amber.
Harumi
Harumi smells of vanilla, jasmine, and pomegranates. A scent both prestigious and luxurious.
Misty (OC)
Smells of Cherry Blossoms, Sweetpea, Melon, Apples, and Vanilla. She tends to lean more toward feminine scents.

Can we talk about this shot for a second? It's only for a second, as part of our whirlwind tour of the reborn Mitakihara (now under new management) but it's striking not only because of the bare trees--a recurring theme--but also the abrupt seasonal shift. Just a second ago, the cherry blossoms were blooming as the girls walked to school, but now we've reverted back to winter with footprints in the snow leading to an open door (another recurring theme). Who made the footprints? Presumably Homura, of course.
Notice also how the doors open to a brick wall--a dead end. I suppose it's possible that there are passageways to the left and right, but even then, it's clear that the way forward is still blocked. THE SYMBOLISM THERE. Note that the footsteps only go in one direction, so whoever passed through didn't backtrack, either.
The reversion to winter may symbolize Homura's control over time, but it may also indicate that while Madoka lives in a perpetually blooming wonderland, it's always winter for Homura, representing her isolation from the others.
Why two trees, though? "Symmetry" is the obvious answer, and yet I can't help thinking of Yeats' poem "The Two Trees", which opens with the lines, "Beloved, gaze in thine own heart / The Holy Tree is growing there" and describes the joyous blossoming of this tree before pivoting to a second tree more like the ones we see here: "For all things turn to barrenness / In the dim glass the demons hold".
Madoka is represented again and again by a blooming cherry tree, but Homura is the opposite, even after her ostensible triumph.
Then we have the mural of Christmas presents on the wall, which are identical to the ones Homura conjured up earlier, which is straight-up out of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.
Tumblr media
You know what else is featured in that mural, though? The fruit from the Cake Song! We can see the raspberry (Sayaka) and the melon (Madoka), the latter of which brings "sweet dreams for all" when it "breaks".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't make out anything that looks like the other girls (Kyouko, apple; Mami, cheese; and Homura, pumpkin), but it's interesting that the melon is flanked by the raspberry and that both are repeated twice in the mural.
The mural is also done in what appears to be a trompe l'oeil style, i.e. a kind of optical illusion where the two-dimensional appears three-dimensional, which is also a profound symbolic statement about reality and illusion within Homura's world. The way it reflects on the snow like a mirage...!
Taken all together, I interpret this shot as saying that while Mitakihara has theoretically been remade to be just like it was originally, the bones of the labyrinth it once was (and still technically is) remain, hidden in plain sight.

Game Assets Notes
These are plants shown in Dragon Age but aren't named in universe, just in their model files or through identification of the textures. Since most filler plant textures are just that of real world plants.
**NOTE:** When I mention they are not the known name of any plant, this comes with the caveat of being popular common names. Common names are highly variable and inconsistent. They depend on regional knowledge and association. Some travel farther than others. Common names are also not reliable identifiers.
Acacia: Black Wood ~ Note: Black Wood is a type of acacia. Both acacia and black wood are named assets.
Artichoke ~ Note: Identification comes from asset name, the artichoke flower is used as ornamentation of a box.
Banyan Tree
Boxwood ~ A type of shrub, identification comes from asset name.
Bradford Pear ~ Their fruits are edible, however their flowers are known to emit a smell akin to rotting meat. Identification comes from asset name.
Calla Lily ~ Note: Not named but identified by the texture used. It is seen in Val Royeaux planters.
Cattail ~ Note: Seen through out DAO and DAI, identification comes from asset name.
Coleus ~ Note: Not named but identified by the texture used. It is seen in Val Royeaux planters and in the Frostback Basin.
Crape Myrtle
Cypress: Italian Cypress, Topiary Cypress ~ Note: In terms of the Italian Cypress, in world it wouldl likely be called the "Antivan Cypress" given that Antiva is pulling from Italian culture, food, environments, and other inspirational elements. Cypress is a plant that is named in canon.
Daikon Radish ~ Note: Found on Dennet's farm, identification comes from asset name.
Dogwood
Elephant Ear ~ Note: Foliage found in the Frostback Basin, identification comes from asset name.
Fade Berry
Fern: Red Fern, Sword Fern ~ Note: The red fern isn't a real plant and therefore can be considered unique to Thedas. In contrast the sword fern is a real plant. Identification comes from the asset name for both of these ferns.
Forest Clover
Foxleaf ~ Note: This is another plant that is not real, no plant has this common name as far as I could find.
Gasbloom ~ Note: Seen in the Arbor Wilds, the Frostback Basin some elven ruins, and the elven ruins of multiplayer levels. Their identification comes from the asset name. There are two versions of the texture the "fixed" version is used in JoH dlc and thus explains the difference in appearance. This is not the name of a known mushroom.
Hero Tree
Palm: Curly Palm, Fan Palm ~ Note: Both palms are seen in the Frostback Basin, both are identified by their named assets.
Pear Cactus ~ Note: Found in the Frostback Basin, identification comes from the asset name.
Pine: Chir Pine
Ponga Tree ~ Note: Also known as the 'Tree Fern'. This is the tree you see in Val Royeaux garden as coming from Par Vollen, and throughout the Arbor Wilds.
Redwood ~ Note: Identified by the name of the file asset. Found in the Winter Palace, Exalted Plains, and on multiplayer maps.
Snapdragon
Trex
Waterweed ~ Note: In real life this is an entire genus not one particular plant. Though the six plants in this genus do share the common name of waterweed.
White Birch
Witchhazel
Additional Notes and Trivia
Ironwood - Unclear if this is an alternative name, the actual name of the plant, or both.
Morel - This mushroom is inferred due to the existence of Blighted Morel. However it is not explicitly specified there is a non-blighted morel.
Sponge Root - Though canonical as it is mentioned and shown in World of Thedas vol. 2 on pg. 138 with a collection of deep mushroom and surface mushroom illustrations. This mushroom was cut twice from Inquisition. It was cut from the base game as a craftable, it had a much different appearance from its final design, and then it was cut again from Trespasser. It does however still make an appearance in Inquisition as the inventory icon for Crystal Grace.
Unnamed Glowing Mushroom Is mentioned in multiplayer when there are two Lukas playing.
Unnamed Mushroom These brown mushrooms are seen in the Fallow Mire and the Frostback Basin. They are shown in two different sizes ranging from shorter than a dwarf to taller than one.
There is one unlisted mushroom, its assets is named "red mushroom" and thus is identified by textures. These is not a canon name but is included for completeness. Amanita Muscaria: More commonly know as fly agaric or fly amanita, the red top with white spots is an iconic in its imagery. You will find large swaths of these mushrooms in the Frostback Basin. Their assets is named "Red Mushroom".
Winterberry is a real plant. However, from what we see in DA2, it does not the same as the plant we have in the real world, just a shared common name.
Wormroot is another real plant name. However, due to the description in The Calling, it does not seem to be the same plant. In The Calling it is used to treat the venom of a giant spider. The real world plant is used to treat parasites in the gut and does not seem to hold any shared uses in folk lore, folk medicine, or western medicine practices.

ghoul element perfume associations!
i've done a few scent association lists for individual ghouls, and i thought it would be fun to do one for elements instead! it's a little more general, which lets me include perfume that i really like but that don't fit any of the ghouls exactly. as always, i would love your feedback!!
Usual warning: This might look weird on mobile, but it should be good on desktop. Apologies, I'd fix it if I knew how.
Earth: Dense, earthy, bitter, green scents reminiscent of forests, gardens, and ruins halfway reclaimed by nature.
Notes: wood, vetiver, greenery, moss, soil, fruit, rose, stone, fungus
Rose Fantôme - LVNEA
“Rose Fantôme breathes not the fresh blooming rose but the one that has been cut, left and forgotten. Now one with its surroundings, it blends with the scents of dried grass and lichen, hay, and dirt.”
porcelain roses, immortelle, dried hay, graveyard soil, cepes, oakmoss, oakwood
Duende - Fantôme
“The smell of being lost in an enchanted forest.”
oakmoss, cedar, fir, resinous labdanum, benzoin, tree sap, wild violets, lilac
(i have this one, it's forest-y but also pretty light for a forest perfume. definitely a summery, magical forest smell)
Holy Oak - LVNEA
“Holy Oak alchemizes the aromas of deep, damp oakwood and the dry warmth of cedar to evoke the sound, sight, and smell of a well-worn cabin woodframe creaking against the weight of tempestuous rainfall as it begins to slow.”
galbanum, cedar leaf, petrichor, frankincense, cedarwood, oakwood, oakmoss
Mount Auburn - Little & Grim
“A dizzying array of all the flora that buds in Massachusetts. Fragrant, fruity blossoms and towering trees shading gentle, winding paths.”

Love Among the Ruins - Alkemia
“An ancient ruin of fallen stonework covered with lichen and tangles of flowering vines slowly disintegrating/returning to nature.”

Notes: florals, musk, fruit, cold air, dust, sugar, honey, ozone
Lilacs Along the Winding Drive - Alkemia
fresh lilacs, a gentle breeze after a light spring rain, a dusty pebbled driveway, a slightly rusty porch swing, and a small handful of late blooming violets
Hummingbird - Zoologist
“This diaphanous scent alights upon you in a pastel bouquet of honeysuckle, mimosa, lilac and peonies, with just the lightest dusting of natural sugars found in pear, cherry and honey. A finishing dollop of velvety whipped cream melds the tantalizing notes, completing this irresistible and opulent perfume.”
apple, cherry, citrus, lilac, muguet, plum, rose, violet leaf, honey, honeysuckle, mimosa, peony, tulip, ylang, amber, coumarin, cream, moss, musks, sandalwood, white woods

Fire: Warm, heavy, lingering, spicy scents. Some fire ghouls smell like smoke and fire, but others smell like heat, metal, or spices.
Notes: smoke, incense, spices, metal, patchouli, wood
Paimon - Fantôme
“This is a warm, regal scent conjuring an endless sea of sand with the hint of an oasis of coconut and dark vanilla carried on a warm desert wind. “An olfactory musing from the underside of a wooden dock.”
salty sea breezes, sun-bleached driftwood, crushed seashells, lemon peel, barnacles, sand, and sea-soaked timbers
Dragonfly - Zoologist
“Giant lotus pads part to make way for buds that pierce the surface of the jade green pond. They raise their faces to the sun, their delicate fragrance floating around them. In the shadow of the flowers, tiny dragonfly nymphs also emerge from the shallows. They spread their fragile wings and shyly take flight, ready to explore a world beyond the water.”

Seahorse - Zoologist
