this was gonna be my april 1st piece, but well, let's just say, i went a little overboard...! and now this is my most detailed art piece i've ever done ! i love the high roller you guys

this entire piece was a whole adventure. i had to redraw the wallpaper because going into the fight april 1st made me learn OOPS! they changed it! and then i added detail. and aw fuck i can't leave THIS without detail. so i added more detail!

and uhmm yeah this basically took on and off all month to do and is genuinely my biggest piece i've ever done </3 in total this probably toon, genuinely, 2-3 days in total hours to finish. i am a bit slow with things so yeah. i am very proud of this and plan to use the version without HR in it as a background for things ^^.

also, the background was traced over a vrchat screenshot! only the lines, though, all the coloring is done myself! i've fooled people with THE BACKGROUND being a screenshot already so no, the coloring and shading is all done by me. just the lines were traced and altered in some places. this below is the reference screenshot! and also the sketch

this week it's DANGEROUS DISGUISE which is one of my favorites so you know i had to roll up. let's get going

so this comic was written in the middle of 1950 and is about spies. what else happened in 1950? THIS GUY. pause for hatred:

okay anyway so we start out with the ducks having been banished to europe because they were annoying uncle scrooge too much. this is after barks realized that having a rich guy as a plot device to let the ducks explore was, comment dit-on, awesome. so that's Interesting Barks History Fact Number 1. donald says "i wish uncle scrooge would get mad at us more often" . swag

Interesting Barks History Fact Number 2: homeboy got in trouble for having too many humans in this comic. in fact i believe that the duck family are the only non-humans in this one. after this he tends to stick to his "vaguely dog-humanoid things" strategy when he doesn't feel like coming up with unique animal designs. i approve of this because it means i get to go full sonofmegavolt humina humina at some of the women he drew. outside of disney early in his career barks drew some quite racy stuff btw. insert wolf whistle here. ANYWAY.

I have been toying with the idea of making the moon into actual horns since we talked about it (like Maleficent?) - you mentioned opals and shell linings, and I think it would look sick if the moon-antlers/horns had that opalescence sheen to them? Maybe it could mirror the mask?

Idk, I haven't quite fleshed her out yet so that may change. She still doesn't have a name; Miss Missy is being very secretive about her life (no surprise there 🙄).

I do wanna show you this! There's this gemstone called Azurite, that has this beautiful shade of deep blue, with purples, and some greens and gold speckles and spots (seriously - look it up, it's fantastic). I like the idea of her being connected to gems and stuff, and I think this one in particular fits her vibe SO well?? So yeah.

2. I love malificent so much :(((( I love sleeping beauty, I love the live action malificent… OPAL MASK AND HORNS HELLO. Blue Lady is killing it over here, my god. She’s got the bling. She’s got the swag. What more could she have.

3. My grandparents are jewelers and they used to keep random geodes and gems around their house and azurite was one of them! I remember because they would try to teach me about rocks and gems and different gem cuts and I just sat there “no thoughts, head empty, I only want to look at pictures of agate and peridot”. their azurite was very very small and I’m not sure where it is anymore. My favorite gem has to be zircon though, love that stuff. I will for sure be reading more on azurite though!

briefly gonna talk about some of my design choices for my batim au

joey drew: wasian swag transgender gay man swag. his cane is pretty heavy too

henry stein: tucks his tie in so it doesn't get in his way while he works, keeps his hair nice and tidys

wally: nothing special he truly is just some guy to me!! regrets not wearing his jumpsuit properly when pipes burst and it gets all over.

thomas: WASIAN SWAG 2, the ink is cold so he wears a very thick sweater, not to absorbent, scratchy and uncomfortable to most people.

sammy: not buff. twig. flat. he can never get the right sized pants because his waise is to small and legs are to long. Wears thick socks to keep warm because his circulation is dog shit. got a perm and regrets it.

susie: loves yellow because it's a happy color, curls her hair every other day but otherwise forgets to do a lot of stuff. Just generally forgetful when it comes to appearance care i guess? she doesn't iron her shirts.

norman: ohh fuck his swag. Likes to wear fun but dark colors, keepshis pants tucked into thick rubber boots because he doesn't want any ink on them. he likes to sew + tailor in his free time and keeps all his vests bespoke

jack: keeps his stuff very nicely pressed and wears cologne in an attempt to cover the weird ink smell (doesn't work most the time). keeps a cotton glove on his left hand so any smudges will only be on frabric. (got to annoyed washing his hands for hours to get the stains out) TRANSGENDER.

shawn flynn: doesn't give a fuck wants to have a little fun. keeps a cigarette in his mouth but no lighter, likes having something to chew on. wears gloves for the same reason as jack except he's ambidextrous

Grant: likes to wear a nice knit to keep warm (circulation is so bad) barely ever trims his sideburns, so proud of them. Trasgender as well btw.

bertie: puts the most effort into looking pristine, but also interesting. Life is no fun without a fun colorful suit.

lacie: dresses pretty drab, likes to be left alone so she doesn't draw attention to herself to much. Has the scarf on her head to keep hair back so it doesn't get into anything she's tinkering with.

allison: doesn't have a great fashion sense, dresses for comfort more. wears lots of layers because her circulation is also bad.

Murray: likes to show off his arms, wears gloves basically all the time and has dry ass hands

-before bangtan came out they were playing music videos on the stage, and after the very first one I said “I bet the next one’s gonna be Mic Drop” AND IT WAS <o/

- but to karmically compensate I hyped up jhope’s verse in Airplane pt 2 the whole night (it’s my fav verse of my fav member???) and then they did airplane pt 2 and skIPPED HIS VERSE!! devastating :’)

-I am a Hobi Stan so I expected him to be the one I was watching the whole time, but…..oh boy, Jimin was having a GREAT night. Totally on fire. They all were, but Jimin was Especially killing it.

-I recommend looking up the videos they played in between sets because the concept is literally “Bangtan makes drugs”

- as good as the choreographed numbers were (they did the full choreo for Black Swan, Fake Love, ON, a few others) I actually liked the numbers where they fooled around Way better!!! They’re so flawless when they do choreo that it’s almost like watching a recording, especially since we were mostly watching them on a big screen. When they’re just running around and making fun of each other it feels way more ‘live’. highlight of the night, tbh, was Tae & Jin bullying Jimin by imitating his dance moves in Save Me.

-Namjoon’s fatherly disappointment in our bad Army-bomb wave will haunt me until my dying day.

- he should also be disappointed in Ari especially bc she didn’t notice he’d dyed his hair red until like the last number lol

-in other words the boys were perfect, flawless execution, I have no notes, here’s Jungkook frickin nailing the high notes of ON so u can see how far back our seats were lol
