Thinking about Omega SQQ again sigh

Okay. So warning this is a male lactation AU so if you don’t like that don’t read, nothing explicit happens tho, just a guy and his pups

I imagine when he first goes into his body everything feels like he’s in haywire, constantly on edge and ready for a fight. Once he’s gotten the hang of things he uses his cultivation to try and simmer down his hormones.

Kinda torn on how I wanna talk about Shen Jiu’s feelings towards BingQiu in my omegaverse role reversal. One hand I can make it funny and kinda sweet on the other I can make it a little fucked up and trauma related.

One side of him is just petty because that’s his brother and he doesn’t want Shen Yuan to pay attention to anyone that isn’t him and Qi-ge. He doesn’t like anyone his brother talks to. Liu Qingge is too brash and is clearly flirting (and failing) while the other disciples that all like his brother keep taking up his time and Shen Yuan keeps letting them. Shen Yuan needs to stay at home with him and Qi-ge.

The other side has nightmares where Luo Binghe’s face is superimposed over Qiu Jianluo’s. He sees the way he looks at his brother and he will never allow someone like that to hurt them again. His idiotic brother who practically dragged him out of the Qiu household instead of waiting for Qi-ge is so willfully oblivious to it. Luo Binghe already offered Shen Yuan to move into his side room after he became head disciple and the only reason Shen Yuan didn’t accept was the epic bitch fit Shen Jiu threw over it. In Shen Jiu’s mind it’s only a matter of time before Luo Binghe decides to do more than just look.

And of course his worst fears were confirmed true when Shen Yuan and Luo Binghe came back from a mission way day way clingier to each other. A few weeks later Shen Yuan came to him nearly in tears scared what would happen to him and his baby.

But also that his brother and how dare Shen Yuan look in a direction that is not at Shen Jiu. He wants attention.

The problem with SVSSS Omegaverse AUs is if I want to keep it close to canon I have to ignore the fact that in any Omegaverse version Tianlang-jun was definitely the one to birth Binghe

Because I can't imagine an Omegaverse SVSSS where Su Xiyan isn't an Alpha who knocked up Tianlang-jun

Tbh if I was to write Omegaverse SVSSS Demon Omegas would be top of the food chain in the demon realm and omega/omega relationships are common amoungst top demons. Betas are second rank as they are useful for not losing their heads. Alpha's can be very powerful and respected especially when paired with a powerful omega, but most alphas are an oppressed minority and kept as pets by omegas.

Whereas it's more typical a/b/o dynamics in the human realm

And because of Airplane's bullshit Binghe is a human Alpha AND a demon Omega

Shen Qingqiu is an omega because of Shen Jiu angst but a byproduct of Without a Cure is it is basically a suppressant and Shen Yuan spends most of his time as Shen Qingqiu as basically a beta which helps him miss cues

Everyone thinks Shang Qinghua is a beta or they know he's an alpha but forget it because he acts more like a Beta. The only one who is always hyper aware he's an Alpha at all times is Mobei

Mobei and Sha Hualing are obviously omegas

Liu Qingge is a beta. This surprises most people but I argue that's why he's socially clueless

Yue Qingyuan is presented as an alpha because his Shizun wanted him to be but he actually is/was an omega though no one knows. Lots of potential for angst

everyone thinks he’s gonna kill this dude. they assume the omega wronged junshang somehow and he wants revenge. sy is scared absolutely shitless. these guys tie him up in immortal binding cables and beat him up a little bit. by the time they make it to the underground palace, sy looks fuckin rough

and surprisingly, lord luo is not pleased by this. so displeased, in fact, that he cuts the demons down right there in the middle of his reception hall? sy is 100% sure he’s gonna be next and he nearly passes out when bingge approaches. (part of him is screaming because!!!! luo binghe!!! in the flesh!!!!! with an air of power and deadly beauty and strength!!!! the protagonist!!!)

lbg studies sy’s face for a minute, then has servants take him away. he’s bathed (THOROUGHLY!! maybe TOO thoroughly!!! he can wash his own ass!! thank you!!) and styled, and with the cables removed he can finally heal his injuries from being captured.

the next time they meet, lbg seems weirdly angry. his hands are shaking and his face is red, and every time he makes eye contact with sy, he growls and looks sharply away. he’s definitely barely holding back from killing sy!! maybe it’s because sy left the human cities? maybe it’s because he was poking around somewhere off-limits?? sy has no idea what he did.

lbg leads him down down to the water prison, and again sy almost passes out. my mans definitely pukes into the water just from the smell alone. it’s…a gory scene. but what’s most unsettling about it isn’t the emptiness in sqq’s eyes or the desperate grunting that only becomes louder the closer lbg brings sy.

what’s most unsettling is how similar they look. they could be brothers, their family resemblance is powerful. same face shape, same nose, same cheekbones.

and sy gets it then. bingge is done playing with sqq; there’s nothing really left to do to him (though he’s still got his dick…sy was one of the loudest proponents of cutting it off for what he did to ning yingying!) so lbg must be looking for a replacement.

lbg studies them both for a long time, as if cataloguing all the similarities between their faces. the whole time, sy is shaking, trying not to fall over. eventually, lbg must be satisfied, because he looks sy up and down slowly before muttering. ‘you’ll do for now. we can see how you measure up.’

POORLY!!! shen yuan is determined to measure up extremely poorly to that old shizun of lbg’s!! to save his own skin, he’ll be nothing like that asshole!!

thus begins shen yuan’s plan to treat the emperor with such doting, kind respect that he’ll see nothing of sqq in him beyond his unfortunate face!! surely lord luo won’t want to kill someone so kind to him!!

(every measure of shen yuan’s kindness is overwhelming to lbg. after so long he’s found what that other him flaunted in his face. a close relative of his shizun’s, no doubt, (maybe a twin separated at birth?) who became that other binghe’s shizun in that timeline. he’s kind and gentle and so concerned with binghe’s wellbeing in a way…no one has since his mother, so so long ago. that one morning with the other shizun was so sweet, but this—having this omega here in his palace, fussing at him to eat more and dress more warmly when he goes to the north, smiling unrestrained, smelling so impossibly sweet—this is so much better than he could have imagined. luo bingge will convince this shen yuan to be his omega. not as a concubine, but as a proper wife. first wife, maybe. empress, even. whatever it takes to get him to say yes. whatever it takes to keep him.)

I've been reading a few 'SY gets isekai'd into orig!LBH's harem' fics, and it got me thinking... What if Imperial Consort/Assassin SJ? (Qijiu, omegaverse)

SJ was sold to the Qiu family as a child, and ostensibly adopted into the main line. Except, that was a cover to hide their true intentions - training the child to become a loyal assassin. When, at fifteen, SJ presented as an omega, Lord Qiu rejoiced. With an omega assassin on their side, they could finally take down the Yue empire!

At eighteen, SJ is finally deemed properly schooled in the killing arts, and sent into the harem of the current crown prince. He is not impressed. The prince is too clingy, leaving him little chance to send messages back to his true masters, and...incredibly intense? Just...why is he always looking at SJ like that? SJ supposes it could be worse. He was thankfully spared from any of QJL's 'special interest' in order to be able to prove his chastity upon entrance into the harem. Also, Qi-g- ah... Prince QY is not a selfish lover. And since he only seems to have eyes for SJ, the would-be assassin is living more akin to a prince consort than a worthless concubine raised up from the streets. SJ contemplates his situation carefully for a few months before deciding to switch loyalties - if you can call a forced pack bond to the Qiu's head alpha 'loyalty', and coldly destroying said bond 'careful'.

Rejecting the bond hurts like hell, and SJ has no doubt the Qius now understand him to be a liability to be exterminated. Unfortunately for them, the palace walls are tall, and SJ's courtyard highly guarded. SJ doesn't let that dull his sense of paranoia, however. He takes the initiative to visit his prince first, before the Qiu patriarch comes up with any ideas to end him.

YQY understandably has trouble digesting that bit of information, and so chokes on the pastry Xiao Jiu had just fed into his mouth. SJ swoops on the chance to crawl into his lap while he's distracted, and look pitiful. It's not particularly hard - thinking of YQY hating him makes him oddly teary. It must be his inner omega rankling against at the possibility of YQY daring to betray his devoti- wholly selfish will to live.

SJ: Xiao Jiu doesn't want to hurt Qi-ge, so he destroyed his pack bond to the Qius. Now they're probably going to come to kill us both. 🥺🥺🥺🥺

YQY: ...I see. 

The Qius don't get the chance to act. YQY goes to his father and pleads the case for their entire family line to be exterminated. After sobbing pitifully to be spared of his own punishment, SJ is very pleased with the results. All his enemies are dust, and he was even able to sneak someone in to have the Qiu's daughter extracted to a safe location - she, unlike her alpha relatives, had never been anything but kind to him. SJ was not one to leave debts unpaid. 

On top of that, Qi-ge treats him with even more affection than before. He didn't think it was possible, but apparently men love it when you thwart attempts made on their life. Who knew? Actually, he thinks he'll have to do something to get the prince to like him a little bit less. His spine really can't take all this abuse! He'd trained as an assassin, not a courtesan, for crying out loud.

For many years, SJ and YQY live happily. When YQY succeeds his father's throne, it's no surprise he chooses SJ as his empress. However, due to the emperor's unwavering affection, no other omegas are married into the palace, leaving the empire's connections weak. An enemy seeks to take advantage of this weakness. 

LBH is the son of a branch family of the imperial line. At fourteen, he is introduced to the empress, and fancies himself in love, despite SJ's cold and untrusting (uninterested) nature. Ten years later, after a decade of building his forces, bringing together the scorned remnants of the families the current empire has offended and left to die, he attacks the palace - aiming for the throne and the omega sitting by it, both. 

YQY is caught in his chambers unawares when the fire starts, SJ laying naked beside him. The scent of ash wakes the empress, years of training kicking in almost instantly to dress (conveniently in clothing he'd earlier sewn precious jewels into - just in case), and pull his husband out of the room to safety.

When turncoat guards accost them in the emperor's courtyard, he almost immediately recognises the strategies of the Qiu assassins in their movements. QHT had taken his mercy for dirt beneath her feet - but she hadn't ever known SJ was trained in the same techniques she'd convinced LBH to utilise, and his education, as an expendable assassin rather than a born daughter, was much more thorough than her own.

SJ is cutthroat in slaughtering a path out of the palace, his husband by his side, coming along for the ride, but not really appreciating all the blood. Truthfully, SJ is also annoyed - his nap was interrupted, and now he's poor (relatively speaking. To SJ, anything less than empress-level wealth might as well be destitution. In truth, the pearls hidden in the hem of his sleeve alone could buy a house for the two of them). 

At some point, they make it out of the palace - tired, but relatively unharmed. Or that's what SJ thinks until he sees the blood seeping through his husband's undershirt. SJ's own blood runs cold. He can't lose YQY. He could accept anything else, but if Qi-ge dies, he'll murder every last one of that beast LBH's men, mount his ghastly head on a pike outside the palace walls, and then kill himself. Better death than to live without his husband, the only person who's never truly cared about his worthless background. Who only ever cared about him. 

In a fit of mild hysteria, SJ somehow finds the strength to haul his alpha to a deserted back alley in the worst part of the city. He raps on the door of the dilapidated house before him, and it opens to show the face of someone he never thought he'd have to deal with again - the healer MQF (also an ex-assassin, specialising in deadly poisons).

SJ: Save my husband or I'll kill you.

MQF sighs. It seems the little gutter brat still refuses to learn any manners. Still, he steps away from the door to allow him - and his unconscious cargo - passage.

MQF: Come in, then.

Despite there being no love lost between them, MQF obliges in healing the emperor - providing SJ allows him to continue pretending he has no clue who the man is. He's not looking for any more fights. He values his solitude and safety, thank you very much.

He allows the royal couple to stay exactly one night is his home, till LBH's guards have passed by, and the deposed emperor's fever dissipates enough for him to stand without slumping over in a heap. In return for his favour, SJ rips a pearl from within the seam of his sleeve - a truly tremendous payment for stitching a wound, but little compared to the life of YQY. 

Then SJ - ever vigilant and prepared - directs his husband to a boat, waiting to take them away to a foreign land where LBH's power holds no sway. 

YQY: ...Did you plan for this?

SJ: I never liked the look of that beast. 🔪😠

YQY: Why do I find this side of you so incredibly sexy?

SJ: ALL my sides are sexy. 😡

YQY: Of course. 😊 It's just as Xiao Jiu says. 🥰

They drift into the sunset, while LBH loses his mind searching for an omega far beyond his reach, until he brings his own reign to a pitiful end - betrayed by his own advisors in order to save the land from their mad emperor's ire.

Qijiu, meanwhile, lead a nice, peaceful life as the leaders of a faraway sect, built off the money SJ made from selling all his tucked away finery. YQY still feels bad his darling husband lost all he once had, and so tries to spoil his Xiao Jiu, despite Xiao Jiu being utterly flustered by it.

Somehow, accepting imported jewels from Emperor QY was much easier than taking the glass bracelet Yue Qi brought back from market after a week long hunt, smiling sheepishly as he wrapped it around his mate's wrist - perhaps because they were mated now, finally free from the shackles palace life demanded be placed on them. An emperor can belong to no one omega, but Yue Qi is just Yue Qi, and Shen Jiu is more than greedy enough to possess a simple man.

SJ shortly decides he doesn't mind having lost the crown very much, actually. Not when YQY is beside him, looking at him with eyes filled with such affection. He loves his husband so much. And one day he might even tell the man that - once he can guarantee YQY won't start bawling like a baby at his words.

Alternatively, Qijiu have babies, and instead of SJ, LBH meets SY, the emperor's firstborn, falls head over heels for him, is shot down by Helicopter Parent SJ, and spends many, many, many years sulking about it until SY decides he wants to marry him, actually - to SJ's utter horror. That beastly little child? With his precious, innocent, special little boy? He'll kill him! He has the training to back it up. He's not afraid of the consequences - his husband's the emperor!!

YQY, holding SJ back by the waist: XJ, you cannot kill our son's chosen alpha without reason.

SJ: I can find a reason! I'll make one up! 🤬🔪🔪🔪

SQH, a lowly eunuch: Please don't. It took him long enough to realise he was being courted. I can't go through that a second time. 

SJ: Who asked you?! You rat! If you still had any balls, I'd cut them off! 🤬🔪🔪🔪🔪

SQH: 😭😭 Save me! Cucumber bro!

LBH: 😭😭 A-Yuan, your parents hate me!

SY: ...This is not the cutthroat novel I transmigrated to... SMH 😮‍💨

LBH: A-Yuannnn!

SY: There, there BH. 😊

SQH: What about me?!! 😣

SY: Seethe, bro. 😑

SY was 100% in the comments of Proud (Immortal?? Or maybe he's mortal in this one?) Emperor's Way screeching about how much of a hack Airplane was for making the hero - the. Hero!!! - die alone and loveless when obviously, he should have gotten the crown and the omega he wanted! LBH deserves the best!
