while you guys discuss perceived letterboxed disses, my brain is stuck on the fact that noah and finn had dinner together at a reservation only expensive steakhouse, the kind of place a lot of people use for special events like proposals and anniversaries, with a dress code and how Finn would have probably had to go buy something appropriate to wear for this alone since he owns maybe six casual shirts down there in ATL and im like….. how was that just a bros dinner?!? no wonder why twitter reacted the way we did here too… ITS SUS

Love all the tiny bits of fuel and how for some it's a never ending need for more more more and other times it's like, this crumb will sustain for months!!!! Hahaha that's how I kinda am with any little info for the show itself - I don't need spoilers and leaks when I'm still kinda reeling from the existing show itself, I have enough to sustain me until season 5 but anything extra is a whole feast. So I enjoy whatever content appears outta nowhere, but I'm already happy 😁 It takes so little to amuse me!

But the restaurant thing is kinda the pinnacle of the concept of FN being real at all and while it's harmless overall to my brain to believe it being real - there's no actual proof of it, to be a realist. It's soooo fun and if true, I think clearly speaks volumes as to the legitimacy of their potential relationship. Because - it's so beyond casual friends if that sort of hang-out is going on. It's so much more. Despite what anyone trying to break it down says, that's not casual behavior. But. Did it happen? It's all words and posts and "secrets" shared but there is no verifiable data. So - tons of fun!! Emotional investment, minimum. Do I believe it? I'm chilling, I'm vibing, yes and no. I can't prove it. Hurts nothing to choose yes, but I'm also not gonna be devastated if no?

What I can prove? Noah specifically logging onto the letterboxd app or website, typing in the SNL movie, clicking the movie log page, clicking on those stars, and telling the world that he only saw that movie for Finn. Whether a close and supportive friend or being cheeky about a secret partner - oh, it's so sweet and really entertaining and lovely to have happened. And we can actually see the context. It's real and indisputable. The meaning is the speculation, where sometimes with other crumbs of content the speculation is the speculation.

Anyway, WV goes to take a look at the big computer and preses ESCAPE bringing us to a command line screen filled with prompts. At the absolute top are prompts in green that were entered some time before WV appeared.

Gonna have to brush off my CS cap for this one. Now since we dont know what system this computer runs on Im going to operate on the assumption that this is Linux as Ive played around more with that terminal than Windows.

I assume that the green text is a Super User (or using sudo privileges but Im pretty sure its rhe former). What is a super user you ask? The windows equivilent would be Admin and essentially gives this user root directory privileges to access the whole system and make changes. Obviously this can lead to problems if done incorrectly so a password is put in place to prevent just anyone from making system changes. Thats where sudo comes in. Sudo elevates the commands you are giving and will require a password when you access.

Now that thats cleared up, lets look at the prompts. Each of these is preceeded with =>, possibly denoting root prompts from a sudo user. Skipping HOME for a moment, we see VIEW which takes us out of the command terminal to video feed on each of the four screens. SWITCH, well, switches between the screens, the order of which was 2-3-4-1.

I dont know if there is a meaning behind starting at two, Roses screen, but screen 2 shows feed of her house displaying static in front of Zazzerpan whos hand has been broken. Screen 3 shows a, to us, future scene of Dave, potentially post strife, and a first level prototyped kernel. This screen brings a lot of questions. Who is Daves server player? If each of these screens is showing current live feed, how much time passed between the strife and prototyping? What happened to Rose that her feed is locked on Zazzerpan? Unfortunately, WV abandons continuing the previous users commands and enters HOME so we cant see who is on screen 4.

Before diving into what happens with the HOME command, lets go back to the green text. ESC we established brings us back to the teminal. Here this user entered the password to LOCK room 3. Its unclear what room 3 is but Im guessing this was supposed to block access to interacting with Dave. Most likely our SU was preparing this computer for whoever stumbled upon it and blocked access to all but Johns screen.

At the bottom of the terminal is a smaller screen that displays the character of focus, in this case John, and the command VIEW which would maximize the camera screen one again. So after ensuring the screens SU wanted were locked, SU returned the view to screen 1 which is what WV saw upon booting. After everything was in order, the system was then rebooted which saved these changes and returned the system to normal user function logging out of the root directory.

In normal user function, entering HOME activates all the screens and our favorite ominous number appears.

Four hours and thirteen minutes. Another countdown, and this time who knows what its for. Nothing more can be typed as the keyboard is now locked.

But WV is none too worried. He is a Mayor now with much more pressing matters.

I JUST FINISHED THE THIRD PART AND AAAA NOO DEAR READER NOO 😭😭

The Tsaritsa being so kind to us is just magnificent, truly resembles her past and it’s just so refreshing after being tormented by everything (except for Milo, the Abyss Mage and all the other friends Reader has, they deserve the world 😞). I truly hope that even if Reader goes to another region, they can always count with her!

I have some questions regarding some in-game mechanics, like for example friendship. Will the characters that had a high amount of friendship with the Reader suffer more when they learn the truth? (They literally were Reader’s favourites and they just didn’t do anything to stop the torture/helped with it) hmm yes so much angst it crushes my heart ❤️. Oh god, just thinking about them realizing that the love her god had for them was destroyed it’s so painful 🥲

Will Paimon be aware from the beginning of our true identity? I haven’t seen her in any of the SAGAU works I have read, and it would be sus to see her not recognizing us (she is literally the one that connects the Traveler with us if we think about it, and has all the necessary means to help us since she herself can help with out-of-game stuff, like with the wishes or the game settings)

Do new characters or characters that haven’t appeared yet (like Itto or Ayato) hate Reader too? It would make sense from a world view, but thinking that they weren’t present when Reader was traveling around Teyvat is a little bit strange (but not impossible since even the Archons who DEVOTED their lives and love to Reader couldn’t recognize them 😭)

the characters with the most friendship would definetely be crushed. Unfortunately, since everybody's friendship characters are different for each person i can't really include it in a general sagau fic. However, the traveler. Being the God's first vessel and the vessel they can most easily level up, being the vessel they use in cutscenes. The one vessel that no matter what sees their god everytime they log onto the game?

Imagine the hurt when they didn't reconginze you? they just went along with what the archons were saying. I mean, they were doing it for you! They were thinking of you! You were such an important person to capture, the traveler was sure if they got rid of you, the archons would give them plentiful rewards. You always look so happy when you have enough for a wish, they just wanted to see you happy-!

also i'd love to include reader getting their revenge and then going back to tsurumi island with Milo and seeing him all grown up. Idk if i'll have the time or room to include it in part four and i plan on that being the last part. i might include fluff scenarios connected to it just for my own self-indulgence :))

I ACTUALLY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT ROLE PAIMON WOULD PLAY she's definetely self-aware. i mean, on pc when you press escape, she's there floating around on the interface, looking at you. i assume that Ayato also hates you. He's connected to Inazuma very precariously, he has many relations and understands how important their god is. So the thought of you impersonating their god has his blood boiling and his sword at the ready.

Itto, though, is half oni. I don't know much about him, but he isn't too concerned with human politics as far as im aware. I like to think he heard about you being an imposter and thought "Well if they think their so good to impersonate the almighty god then let them fight me!" again, don't know much about him, but he'd be itching for a fight and/or doesn't care about you being an "imposter" he just wants to see this "godly power" or lack there of for himself

NOW YAE MIKO is one mysterious bitch! I feel like she wouldn't have much of a role in your capture, which makes her seem suspicious to everyone. But she's a friend of the Shogun, nobody can hurt her. I FEEL LIKE, she'd track you down and interract with you without hurting you. You're immediately attatched to her because she didn't jump to violence. She notices how pathetic you are and maybe investigates you further.

It's a teddy bear holding a bouqet of roses in its fluffy paw, sitting on the hall floor to provide you with today's first surprise.

You know Soyeon is single, and you know Jungkook like the back of your hand: his romance doesn't extend to these cheesy gestures. It may seem rude to not even think of the possibility that it might be your boyfriend's doing, and despite being such a hopeless romantic, you're certain it's not from him.

Soyeon grumbles drowsily as she stretches before rubbing her eyes with her fists. "What?" she yawns tiredly.

"That," you point past the open door and she follows the direction of your finger with puffy eyes.

"Definitely not," she answers with a sleep strained voice. "Look for a card." She doesn't leave room for a response before turning on her side to face away from you and fall back asleep.

You listen to her advice and crouch before the toy to search for anything that would reveal the identity of the delivery person. It's with close inspection that you find a white card stuffed between the roses.

In your hand it reads: Good morning, beautiful. Can't wait to see you in Human Anatomy.

There's your clarity, and you can't doubt it's Yeonjun when Soyeon doesn't even take this course. It's pathetic, you think, to try and court someone who's already in a stable relationship. This isn't him going after you, but beckoning you to go to him just like he said you would before calling your boyfriend a cliché. It more or less sounds like a mind game, and you're stuck between ignoring his advances completely or confronting him about it.

Yeonjun seemed like an understanding guy; he did say he wouldn't go around you asking for a date, and for two days, he hasn't. If he takes orders so well, it wouldn't hurt to tell him to leave you alone once and for all.

That's your reasoning to march down the hall and find Yeonjun after crumbling the note and leaving the gift on someone else's doorstep. Front rows are your go-to spot to not miss a single detail in your lecture, and it's no shocker seeing Yeonjun sitting on a front row bench.

You clench your fists and scowl to intimidate the creep before stomping over to him. Dismissing your demands is out of the question when your stance nothing short of angry. He needs to know you're not playing around, that he can't manipulate your naivety like he's attempting to.

His eyes twinkle the moment they land on you and he stops spinning his pencil to give you his utmost attention. Good, he's listening. You don't trespass the barrier in the form of a stretched out table between you two as you glower over him.

"I'm gonna make this short," you glare with slit eyes, "I don't want anything that has your fingerprints on it nor do I want to hear you speak to me ever again. Leave me alone or I will report you for harrassment. Say yes if you understand."

The light in his gaze dims momentarily as his awed smile falters. "Y-Yes." He appears afraid and innocent, but your gut denies it. "But may I ask why?"

"Oh, you know why," you scoff in a hushed voice, "I don't want your stupid cards and your stupid gifts, and most of all, I don't want you. Get that through your thick skull."

He never knew you could be this mean, and it almost throws off the sweet impression he has of you until he remembers that you're just loyal. He loves that you're so faithful, and he wants you to be faithful to him only. He craves it so deeply, but he says nothing of the sort and instead stammers, "I-I understand. I-I'm sorry, I'll leave you alone if that's what you wa–"

The slam of the lecture room's doors echo in the spacious hall, and you hurriedly take a seat on the edge of the bench to distance yourself from Yeonjun as much as possible. He has to bite his lip to stop a smile from growing on his face from having you sit next to him.

But just as you requested, he doesn't interact with you throughout the lecture except for a few glances to drink in the sight of you being so close to him. Instances like these are the only time he can feel intimate with you, but it'll only get better on from here.

Because the professor assigns a pair project before you're dismissed.

"Before you leave, by the end of the term, you will have a report submitted in pairs regarding senses that affect the human system in a topic of your choice. More information on the college website, along with the assigned pairs. You can go."

"I already checked," Yeonjun whispers to you, making you immediately wear a distasteful expression, "I'm your partner."

"Nuh-uh," you deny childishly before taking out your phone as you stand from the bench to leave after packing your stationaries. You log onto the site just as you receive a notification from Jungkook.

You have to swipe it away out of worry that you'll actually be forced to spend time with Jungkook's new nemesis. The site loads. You scroll past the details of the task and finally land on the pairs.

And there it is—your name next to Yeonjun's on the screen.

"No," you exhale to yourself and rush out to the hall to avoid Yeonjun. "No, no, no."

Below the names explicitly states: No changes in the assigned pairs. It's too big of a coincidence for you to think it's just your bad luck—you're certain bribery is involved, and how lovely that you can't do anything about it.

You take pride in your intelligence, but you can't outsmart him in this situation, especially when your grades are being held over your head to force yourself to be around Yeonjun. Jungkook would get arrested for murder if you involved him in it, and he surely wouldn't leave you alone if you told him about it.

But then again, you promised—no more secrets.

"Fuck, fuck," you shriek to yourself as you keep walking, not paying attention to where your feet are leading you. Just as long as you're safe from Yeonjun so Jungkook wouldn't find you with him. You need to tell him when the guy isn't around, so you need to wait until his lecture's over–

Yeonjun calls for your name softly while running past the roaming students, and you stop on your tracks with the desire to spit out every insult you have in mind to his face.

"You asshole!" you grit the moment he faces you while breathing heavily. "You planned this, didn't you? I said–"

"I-I'm sorry, but I had nothing to do with it," he pleads with that innocent expression of his. "I promise I-I won't act like before! I'll respect your relationship and stop being weird!"

"Good," you jab a finger at his chest as you seethe, "I don't want to spend any more time with you than I have to."

He frowns with a jutting bottom lip, looking like a kicked puppy as his eyes turn glossy. You are so mean, and he hates it, but his only leverage is that he can be meaner—not to you, never you, but to Jungkook. He's a step ahead of you, and you can shower him with all the bad words you can think of until you heart is content, but he sees it as just a step in the process of owning you.

You think he's submissive and persistent, but no, he's just manipulative.

"Don't get mad," you warily caution while lying down on the grass next to your boyfriend, basking in the sun to last the peaceful atmosphere a little longer. His arm is under your back and his hand on your chest as you hold it.

He has his eyes closed as he says, "no promises."

"We promised to tell each other everything, and there's nothing you can do about this one so please don't get mad at me." He quirks a brow when he opens his eyes to see your timid face. "Remember Yeonjun?"

"You have to be fucking kidding me," he groans angrily as he sits up, prompting you to do the same. "You talked to him, didn't you? I specifically fucking said–"

"Can you just listen?" you sigh. "We have a project together." His brows scrunch intimidatingly, making it harder to say what's on your mind. "And this is unrelated but... he brought a gift to my doorstep."

He doesn't say anything for a few seconds. "Is there anything more I should listen to? Are you done?"

"H-he said he'd stop acting weird and respect our relation–"

"Fucking bullshit. What, did he also say he just wants to be friends? That he's not interested in you anymore?"

"He didn't say that–"

"And you didn't tell the professor you wanted a different partner? Did you keep the gift too?" he sneers mockingly.

"Jungkook, I can't switch, and no I didn't keep the freaking gift," you defend, feeling offended. He can be so provocative when he's mad. It isn't even your fault! "I'm telling you, there's nothing I can do except to convince him to work together online. Isn't that better?"

He grabs your jaw and pulls you a little closer. His grip is bordering on painful and you hold back a wince. "Are you fucking hearing yourself? You can't even be around him and yet you're not allowed to switch? Listen to me. You go to that fucking professor, tell him this guy is harrassing you and that you can't work with him, and if they don't listen, you go the headmaster. You hear me?" he slightly jolts you to command an answer.

"Y-Yes, but–"

"Don't make any fucking excuses," he hisses and lets go of your face. "If you don't do something about it while I'm giving you the chance, then I will."

You hold onto your chin as you meekly question, "what will you do?"

"Things don't need to escalate," he shrugs as he lies back down. "I'll threaten him with my pocket knife and one wrong word from him, I'll use it."

"Like kill him?" you exclaim in shock.

He rolls his eyes. You take him too seriously sometimes. "No. Just send a message. Now go run off to your professor before I ask Yoongi to be my alibi."

its been jumping out at me ever since i realized the mark on the spiral abyss before you unlock it kinda looks like childes riptide mark which also looks like the doors on the two hidden domains (cecelia garden and hidden palace of zhou formula) like this is all way too broad(?) to be stemming from the fact that its also the symbol on mora.

it has to have some deeper meaning right? like damn that lore timeline is so long theres no way its "just a coincidence," that's not something mihoyo would just let slip.

the floors in most domains (all without monoliths) have this damn triquetra pattern integrated in it. for the ones with monoliths they can be seen on the walls. the triquetra is apparently really common in insular art which may hint at the modeling for the abyss and/or khaeri'ah? somehow and its so clear it cant just my blind ass mistaking it. ornamental design or not it has to be related to the abyss, right? ofc this is all going off the assumption that the domains are related to the abyss and honestly its not that much of a stretch imo. like i know this can all be passed off as decorations but it doesnt sit right

anyways back to the original fatui symbol i mentioned. it looks like the symbols at the tops of unhidden domains and the floors of literally every open world boss (unsure on andrius tho, ive already logged off for the night), which happen to look like albedo's solar isotoma which is probably related to some form of khemia which is somewhat indirectly related to the abyss through khaeri'ah lore. COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT-

khaeri'ah is said to be underground so like? closer to the central ley line idk. khaeri'ah lore is just another huge ass can of worms i wanna get into but im too tired rn but i wanna mention that teyvat alchemy is just *chef kiss* i love it

Anyways going back, I actually can’t supplement much since I’ve talked about all these theories long ago. I do want to point out that there is a likely connection with the Abyss Order and the Fatui/Tsaritsa; remember that the Tsaritsa is planning this war against the divine, preferably Celestia, and that Dainsleif mentioned that Khaenri’ah was purged by the Gods themselves. After the Cataclysm, this is when the Tsaritsa started planning the Fatui and isolated Snezhnaya from the rest of Teyvat. More so there are consistent abyss symbols on the Fatui like Signora, tho this is vague- also we can’t use Childe that much as a connection since first and foremost, he already had ties to the Abyss before he became a Harbinger and this tied in with his whole aesthetic.

The main idea/theory running around, not sure if it was already confirmed in the new archon quest cuz I may have skipped some of them, is that Khaenri’ah = Abyss. I actually wish they would expand more on the alchemy lore because ffs Albedo is just ‘fuck it’ then commits multiple alchemy war crimes with how there’s apparently a rule/law/guideline to the proper practice of alchemy.

I would also like to point out that the triquetra has a meaning and is also attached to Paimon. And if the fact that Khaenri’ah is a godless land ruled by none, then maybe the previous Paimon is a god theory might be removed, or she is instead part of the gods that destroyed Khaenri’ah.

Alright, I finally read Reincarnation no Kaben

AFTER MONTHS (it’s probably been a month? My mind doesn’t keep track of the days) I FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO RNK. Ty to Okita anon for the recommendation (*￣3￣)╭💕💕💕 I absolutely loved it. 

After this I’ll start on the other recommendation you gave me. I kept a bit of a log of my reading journey under the read more tag. 

Major spoilers for literally everything in RNK up to ch 53 “Withdrawal”. 

Oh, and I’ll finish answering all my leftover asks and I SHOULD have a fic done by tomorrow. I was so ready to write and then I got up. Now I’m back to bed. 

I’m just gonna write this as a log since I read super super slow and I’m only on ch 7 at the start of writing this but I’m really liking it already. Though to be fair. I love everything okita anon recommends haha. I remember you saying you were simping over Kouu and I haven’t gotten to the part where he appears but I wanted to quickly google what he looked like to prepare myself and I see this:

Well. That’s reassuring. 

I was actually kinda surprised by how many western figures were in the manga since I know there are only like 7? Around 7 western figures that pop up in any anime/manga but seeing people like Albert Fish was kinda surprising but I really liked it. Also, at the end of certain chapters they write little bio’s on them so you get to know more about them was such a nice touch.  I also love that the tradition of making males -> females still stays strong even outside the fate universe hehe.

Literally, the next chapter I see him. AHHHHHHHHH. Well maybe not him but his eyeballs. 

This guy lowkey reminds me of the MC’s brother but it’s 99% because he has the same long ponytail. I wouldn’t be surprised if the brother was apart of the the Greats. Honestly, Ein reminds me of those really hard headed girls that are actually really kind on the inside but aren’t good at expressing themselves (maybe because that’s pretty much her character). I also like that Ein doesn’t like males but she’s hiding behind this guy. At least, I’m..99% sure this is Ein. 

I FUCKING KNEW IT. AS SOON AS I SAW HE GOT A THEIF TALENT I COULD FEEL THE SOLO LEVELING VIBES IN ME. HE CAN STEAL TALENTS I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! I’m surprised that Neumann didn’t say anything and  Haito seems to be aware of it.  

Edit: Ah okay, I understand a bit now but it almost seems like Haito is the only one aware of Toya’s second talent.

Edit 2: Okay, as much as I love power hungry MC’s I’m really glad they didn’t make Toya into that. I am such a softie for sympathetic and kind MC’s like these even though it’s been done so many times. I’m really glad this didn’t feel like a rehash. I mean, some points some of the stuff Toya says it does but it’s fine, I don’t mind that. I actually gave a crap about him since I usually prefer the side characters (I UNDERSTAND ANON, I CARE ABOUT KOUU SO MUCH AHHHHH) but HAITO?? AHHHHH.

I like that Izo always has the same hat in every adaptation he’s in lol. Istg, cats are always op. Schrodinger seems so strong and the parallel universes are my absolute shit. Sometimes I think, in one universe I did this and in this universe I’m not. Would I rather stay in this universe or be in the one where I am actually productive. Usually I pick the productive universe and actually work but sometimes I’m a bit of a slacker haha. I think this is my approach to a lot of things in life. But I digress, I don’t wanna get too deep into my life. 

I can sorta sympathize with the sinners. At least the ripper guy to say the least. I love love love unhinged characters that just want to basically destroy the world or at least have fun. But then you find out- wait they are actually sympathetic oh no. That’s how I felt about Djoser in “im the great priest imhotep” (please...i beg...someone read this...I’m so starved). 

As much as character development and rooting for the hero is cool and all, I just want to simp for the crazy “let’s burn the world to the ground” kinda character. I’m also so glad Toya doesn’t automatically become evil and try and steal everyone’s talents because he does seem like a good person and I really don’t see him suddenly switching fields so when he saved (I don’t remember names I’m sorry), the undead solider it was really nice. Proves that he still has his humanity and isn’t strictly relying on the branch of sin. 

It makes sense that he wants to steal talents since he never had one (and it was kinda out of left field when he killed Vlad and we just never addressed that ever again haha) but to see him actually consider his actions and if he actually want’s to steal his teammates talents feels right to me. Poor guy doesn’t seem to have a lot of friends so this is the first time he’s ever seemed to have companionship, aside from Haito, so I really hope he doesn’t attempt to steal their talents. I think I’m thinking of the slime? That time I got reincarnated as a slime manga/anime. Where he’s the pokemon catcher of skills. I thought that was where it was going. 

But I do kinda like how selfish Haito and Toya’s talent stealing relationship is (I mean, later it develops but my first draft of writing this I wasn’t there yet). I’m not sure if selfish or like self-gratitude/pride is the right word but it’s kind of a breath of fresh air. Rather than Haito trying to contain or “help” Toya’s inferiority she’s actually encouraging it and using her own talent for her own...acknowledgement? Er, yeah let’s go with that.

This. This interaction. I love this. Like, genuinely love this. We need more of this. Two people from opposite sides finding some common ground and their fight to the death is less about morals or whose on whose side but for themselves. I love that. This is actually some wholesome stuff.

I KNEW IT! YOU CAN NEVER TRUST THESE KIND OF PEOPLE!! I’m going to slap the whiteboard on this but if I see any “goofy” character I’m immediately sus of them. 

As much as I hate that Hitler is getting drawn as a small child I really like this. I know the whole, oh I killed your friends but I’m letting you go because you express humanity but I’m gonna finish my death with a sympathetic line, can be annoying to people but idk I really liked this. 

Honestly this and the undead soldiers death hit me hard ngl. This manga might not have my favourite art style during some points compared to like main stream manga but it has some really beautiful scenes. 

BOOM CALLED IT, though it’s pretty obvious lol. 

THE PONY TAIL NEVER LIES AND HES DA VINCI IT MAKES SENSE NOW

He looks so cute lol. I like that Seiya has the talent of being talented in everything while Toya has the talent to steal other talents. Seiya can probably only cap his power by his own physical/mental abilities with Toya can pull a solo leveling and go further beyond. Thinking of it like jack of trades vs master of none type deals. Though, I might be thinking too hard on this. I like that this man is actually humble but I really wish there was a tiny bit more to him since we only get this one interaction/backstory but the manga isn’t completed yet. I really hope we get to know about Seiya more;; like how he became da vinci or etc. 

Everytime I see Neumann I look at that comic sans type and it kills me on the inside. But I love that her eyes are 01 just, mwah perfection. These little details that aren’t that big but it’s soooo nice. I also ahem, unhinged character heart be still. It’s really nice reading manga in bursts because you can see the art progression and damn does she look good.

ngl i’M HARD SIMPING FOR THIS MAN. It’s the pony tail, I have such a thing for guys with long hair (and this is why genshin broke me) but man the art really picked up here. 

I didn’t get into it but OKITA ANON I GET IT. KOUU??? AHHHH. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE??? As much as his whole “war” was a bit questionable in the beginning and tbh I still don’t really get it I like that he knows he’s not the same as the other Greats but still tries to help the other “sinners” in a way only he knows. That’s why Seiya was so important;; I get that he wanted them to have a fun death and to be understood but idk, the whole war idea and having them kill each other (especially the Hitler fights because I understand the others since they reached some kind of acknowledgement) but nonetheless, what a great guy.

Nightingale gives me mad masaki vibes from chainsawman. I hate them and I can’t wait for you to fail, but the inner part of my is cheering for you because unhinged characters are my shit. I feel really bad for Neumann, I had suspicions she wasn’t actually like that since it’s sooo out of left field but I’m really glad the manga seems to know what it’s doing. I really wish we got more Kouu interactions with everyone tho. 

NOW THIS. THIS IS SOME WHOLESOME STUFF. I WANT THIS. I REALLY WANT SPIN-OFF OF REALLY SAD ANIME/MANGA/STORIES WHERE ALL THE DEAD PEOPLE HANG OUT. That’s how I’m feeling about JJK and the scroll segments or BSD WAN that just came out. IT’S SO WHOLESOME TO SEE EVERYONE NOT TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER. 

UGLY SOBBING IN THE CLUBBB AND KOUU AND CHARLOTTE AHHHH. I hate how this is phrased but the respect I have for Hitler?? YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD THAT IS TO TYPE?? Kitazuka is cool tho, I really like him. Some god given talent. I’m hard simping over him but I really hope we get to know more about him later.

In conclusion, and I should probably re-read what the characters say and not go off on memory because I’m about to get really deep. I really like how they phrased why they wanted to stop the branch of sin. That there are people just like Toya and Haito who, if they never found the branch of sin, could still probably lead respectable and okay lives. That there was a “them” in another universe that didn’t go down that road and that they want to be in the same universe as “them”. I know this sounds really confusing if you haven’t read the manga but going back to what I said about the parallel universe stuff. 

There was a universe where Toya and Haito didn’t rely on the branch of sin, that even without their talents from becoming a returner, they could still live a happy life given their own personalities and attitudes. It was kinda moving since in the beginning, Toya wanted a talent so badly and now that he has one. He’s realizing that wait, I don’t need a past life talent in order to live. Honestly, I hard relate to that because I totally agree with him. If you have a talent you can probably live a very happy and comfortable life that other factors wouldn’t matter if you just have that incredible talent. Thinking of it as a painter or artist, if you had actual god-given talent you wouldn’t need to worry about other factors since people would naturally seek that talent. So you end up comparing yourself to others and setting that limit on yourself. 

But that’s okay, it’s completely natural and I’m not saying it’s horrible if you do this. Fuck, I do this all the time. I’m not saying the manga is changing my life but it’s kind of refreshing that it get’s talked about since other adaptations of this just make the character super OP. I understand wanting to have that incredible talent, fuck who doesn’t? but you don’t need it in order to live earnestly in the bigger picture sense. Not everything you do has to be productive and honestly, learning to be okay with having fun is nice. Just being okay with who you are right now, even if it isn’t perfect in your eyes, you still have time to build upon yourself and your own talents but doing it for yourself. 

But I probably missed the point and I’m going way to deep haha. But I really enjoyed reading this and thank you once again to okita anon for the recommendation^^ I always love everything you send me and I’ll start reading the next one. If anyone else has any recommendations let me know!
