Eddie Munson Headcanons
Eddie Munson x Reader
Established Relationship
You and Eddie had been dating for a while, pretty much since the summer of '85.
You were Dustin's babysitter which meant you knew him and his friends pretty well. This meant that when they tried to hide a psychokinetic, bald child in Mike Wheeler's basement, you caught them pretty early on.
You hadn't expected to become friends with Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, but when they proved themselves to be different from your preconceived notions, you became close friends.
So, yeah, you'd fought alongside the party, kicking Demogorgon ass. You'd also gotten drugged and interrogated alongside your friends. You were aware of just how fucked up Hawkins really was.
You thought that it'd be hard to keep all of this a secret from Eddie but you found it surprisingly easy. It was nice to be around someone normal for once, even though Eddie didn't really classify as 'normal'.
You'd go on dates to the movies, share a milkshake at your favorite diner, hold hands as you walked around the woods.
Eddie would try to get you into metal music but you weren't really a fan. It made Eddie pout and stomp his feet like a child sometimes but you were a goddamn babysitter and that shit didn't work on you.
He tried to get you to play D&D but was immediately shot down.
"Last time I chose to participate in a D&D game, a child went missing. So, no way."
He understood that.
He understood a lot, actually. He didn't pester you with questions any time you jolted awake in your sleep, sobbing. He'd just hold you in his arms and sing to you until you'd calmed down. He'd pepper your face with kisses any time you seemed upset. He'd pretend to fall over or hurt himself to get a laugh out of you.
You weren't sure how you'd gone your entire life not having known him. But you knew for sure that you'd spend the rest of your life getting to know him, every version of him.
When Eddie gets caught in the middle of everything, he's incredibly surprised to learn that you already knew. He asked you why you'd never told him anything to which you promptly replied, "I signed an NDA, Eddie. I don't want the government after me." He couldn't really argue with that.
After he found out what happened at Starcourt, he'd thrown a shoulder around you and smacked a huge kiss on your cheek, "You're telling me you fought off actual Russian spies, got drugged, fought a fucking Mind Flayer, and made it out alive? Damn, babe, I didn't know you were such a badass."
He nearly fell over after he found out you broke Billy Hargrove's nose after he nearly killed Steve.
"That's really hot."
"Is this actually turning you on?"
"I mean...I wouldn't mind if you punched me in the face."

AEIWAM : what are the divisions specialities actually ? Like obviously the 4th heal and the 11h fight but like. The 9th? Do crosswords?
BOY AM I GLAD YOU ASKED BECAUSE THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST RETROACTIVE WORLD BUILDING I HAD TO DO AND I'M PROUD OF IT.
So in canon, almost none of the guard squads have "specialist" jobs, mostly because it's not terribly important to the plot, and because the court guards were essentially formed as an ad-hoc mercenary gang to protect one city specifically, but since Yamamoto didn't have to remain loyal to any noble family specifically, he kept getting pulled in as an arbiter and more and more responsibilities heaped upon him until the Court guard squads were acting as a De-Facto government, until the old man got pissed off with being involved in everybody else's business and rounded up a gang of nerds to do that for him so he could go do sword stuff. Seriously, everything about the administrative Bullshit in Soul Society makes sense when viewed through the lens of 'this shit was made ad-hoc out of what was available by people who only kind of knew what they were doing.
So the main government of Soul Society functions approximately like so:
Royal Guard:
Only technically part of the government, the Royal guard consists of The Monk who is responsible for making sure nobody steals any more of the soul king's body parts, and the four people he chose to help/didn't want left unattended in the Spirit World: The Guy who makes Zanpaktou, the Guy who can (theoretically) heal the Soul King, the lady who can literally mess with the fabric of reality and the lady who can create new souls. They spend nearly all their time in the Royal Realm trying to prevent the universe from unrevealing further, and don't really have administrative power so much as if any one of them decided to, they could wreck house of anyone in the spirit world, so if they say something, the central 46 listens and obeys.
Central 46:
The Highest Administrative level, sets society-wide policies, mediates disputes between provinces, wrangles the noble houses, assigns aid and designs social programs. It's comprised of 46 sages and other wise people appointed by the 46 as they die off. IN THEORY "Let a bunch of academics and philosophers who presumably know what they're doing make policy" isn't *that* bad an idea by itself, but it got coupled with "Also, to make sure these guys aren't being bribed or politically pressured, let's keep them in near-total isolation :)" and that's when things got weird.
The Central 46 does try it's best to maintain a peaceful and prosperous society, but it's got to strike a weird balance and the isolation sure does not fucking help maintain a cognizant worldview.
Noble Houses:
So the soul society, by the way they measure time*, only JUST got out of a major warring states period because magical Germany invaded and the guy that lead the army also managed to get The Mandate Of Heaven, but a lot of those formerly-warring states are still around, especially the ones that stole pieces of the soul king. They're not governmental bodies, but the families have shitloads of money, private armed forces and political influence. Think of the worst possible combination of magacorporation, mercenary army and royal dynasty. The are, unfortunately, still a political force to be reckoned with.
*Badly.
Provincial Governors:
So the Soul Society is divided up into Districts like so:
(Embiggen to actually see the damn thing)
The Seireitei is in the center, with the districts counting out until the central 46 got to the outer edge they could theoretically get forces and/or emergency food to in under a month and declared everything after that "District 80" AKA "You're on your own" No taxes are collected in the 80th district and people who don't want to deal with the soul society government often try to strike it on their own out there.
Each of those little rectangles is a district, and each of them has approximately the same number of people living in it- the lower districts are densely populated and, due to their proximity to the Seireitei, well-developed. The districts generally get less developed and less densely populated as you get farter from the center, but this varies wildly by the competence of that district's Daimyo or Governor. West 51 is a much more developed district than it's position would dictate, because it's Daimyo is canny and made good use of it's mineral resources and position in inter-mountain shipping. South 14 Should be one of the nicest districts, but their Governor is a moron who keeps picking fights with the neighboring districts like he's allowed to annex them, and the district has been sanctioned from hell to breakfast over it.
Gotei-13 / Court Guard Squads:
Sort of the executive branch of the Central 46, founded out of Yamamoto's gang of criminals he rounded up to deal with the Quincy invasion back when Rome was collapsing. So the court guard acts out the orders of the Central 46, and *theoretically* has authority over the noble houses and provincial governors, but they are pretty much constantly dancing on the edge of another warring states period, so things can get... tricky.
ALSO DID NOT HELP that The Monk who guards what's left of the Soul King came down from the Royal Realm and foisted a bunch of trans-dimensional responsibilities onto them but the Specific duties of the 13 court guards in AEIWAM are as follows:
(It's worth noting that the order of the court guard squads was determined literally by the order that the 12 criminals signed the agreement with Yamamoto to protect the seireitei, not the order of importance)
Division 1: ADMINISTRATION Oh god there is so much coordination to do between the central 46, the running of internal affairs, recruitment, training new shinigami, coordinating assignments that take more than one division's input. securing and distributing funding, etc. It's main jobs are: assigning work based on policy from the central 46, running the Shinigami Academy, and actually running the Gotei-13.
Division 2: SPY SHIT Gotei-13 is a shady-ass organization with a lot of enemies and that's not about to change. The second division is responsible for keeping an eye on the provinces and noble houses and anything else of interest, "Handling things quietly" for the Gotei-13, and preventing the Central 46 from being corrupted or assassinated. The Shihon Clan has historically held the captainacy of the 2nd division as part of the compromise Yamamoto struck with the noble houses at the founding of the court guard squads to end the civil wars- that each of the 4 noble houses would hold a captain's position, until the noble houses fell apart or the court guard did. This gave the Shihon clan a GREAT incentive to undermine the shit out of other noble houses, and Yamamoto gave them his blessing to do so. Ironically, the Shihon clan was one of the first to collapse.
Division 3: INTERNAL AFFAIRS Law Enforcement, but specifically the Seireitei and shinigami/martial court/jail. The court guard kind of lives and dies by how much it's respected* and it's essential the Gotei-13 follow strict ethical standards and also a tight adherence to authority lest one of the squads break off and start a civil war. Accepting Bribes and Defying Orders are much more severe crimes than say, excessive collateral damage. The 3rd division is responsible for investigating complaints, mediating disputes between divisions, and generally making sure everyone is behaving properly. *By the noble houses, Daimyos and central 46. The average civilian? not so much.
Division 4 Medical This division was actually the FIRST established, even before the court guard really became Squads. It was Chigiri and her pack of field surgeons that commanded Yamamoto's respect and gave him the idea of letting the other criminals have minions too. 4th divison is responsible for maintaining the health of the court guard- not just emergency medicine, but vaccinations, post-service medical care, and civil sanitation- keeping the streets clean and water safe is the #1 way to prevent deaths. Until recently, this meant a lot of trained medics were doing a lot of grunt work, until Zaraki, a guy from districts where Dysentery is still the #1 killer, successful argued a proposal to Unohana that her medics should be managing other, less-in-demand squads doing the labor, which would get the jobs done a hell of a lot faster, and not back up triage as much. Unohana, who had previously not *trusted* other squads to do the work reliably, finally relented and accepted some damn help.
Division 5: Rukongai Affairs The 5th division is responsible for coordinating efforts between the Gotei-13 and the Provincial Governors- Hollow Eradication, Disaster Relief, additional armed forces to help local police, Helping distribute grain to mitigate famine, etc.
Division 6: External Affairs Responsible for representing the Gotei-13 to other groups and dealing with Noble House Bullshit specifically. While Noble House Bullshit is 95% of what they do, but technically, they're also responsible for handling diplomatic relations with the Beastfolk in the eastern districts, Las Noches after the winter war in the west, Any Kami that might come through, and Hell, if they ever get a line open. The Kuchiki family has held the 6th Division captaincy for generations as a peacekeeping measure between the gotei-13 and the noble houses.
Division 7: Incoming Souls The reason the soul society doesn't reunite people with their families when they die is that they do not actually have control over who reincarnates as themselves (and if they retain their memories), who is reborn as a baby in the spirit world, and what district they get assigned to- that's all decided at the moment of a Soul's death by Hell, using a Metric the Shinigami can only guess at. That said, the 7th still can do a lot- Souls that had to be cleansed with Konsho go through the 7th division and are escorted to their assigned districts. Other, non-hollowfied but odd case souls will end up in the pocket dimension that serves as the queue into the afterlife- people with high spiritual power, animals that achieved personhood in the world of the living and other nonhuman persons, and somtimes spirits who were almost certainly supposed to go to a different afterlife all come through. The 7th division is also charged with keeping a running tally on important statistics like the relative balance between souls, who got hollowfied and why, collecting data on who goes to hell when konsho is prefromed on them and why, and other data to try and work out Hell's metric backwards.
Division 8: Income and Funding The court guard squads are... kind of taxpayer funded. The Daimyos collect taxes from civilians, they pay those taxes to the central 46, and the central 46 disburses some of that money to the Gotei-13, but the truth is, for all the duties they're expected to preform, they're wildly underfunded. So the court guard has had to get... inventive to make sure everyone gets paid and they can do what they need to. Investments in industries, ownership of weird land grants, taking out loans, selling merchandise and straight-up schmooze have all been used by the 8th division to make sure the bills get paid. Shunsui is, by that measure, the best captain the division has ever had- he's shrewd and had astonishingly good luck when it comes to finances so there hasn't been a pay strike since he took over. Probably his best idea was handing the branding and product design of the Gikon to the Shinigami Women's Association- that one paid mad dividends.
Division 9: Information Services The ninth division is most famously home to the Seireitei's first and most largely-ciculated newspaper, but it's also the records office, PAYROLL, library, document archives, data collection and data analytics. Also, tech support. Also also: manage all the arts programs, propaganda and festivals. This is why Kaname was load-bearing to Aizen's plan.
Division 10: Living World Affairs The 10th division was responsible for monitoring the living world- mostly keeping track of hollow appearances, but also: what the remaining Quincies are up to, reporting back on useful technological advancements, any other weird shit that turns up there, and keeping track of all the Shinigami on deployment to the living world (mostly 10th division but the post-war population boom means every division's having to chip in now.
Division 11: Emergency/Heavy Deployment Every time the Gotei-13 had to do some heavy lifting, it's the 11th division's job. Mass outbreak of hollows? 11th's job. Emergency Dam repair to prevent a flood? 11th division muscle time. Daimyo got funny ideas about conquering a neighboring district? 11th division. Funcking Quincies again? 11th division. Rampaging Kami afflicted by a terrible curse? you know who to call. This was the SECOND Division to be founded, because the actual sentence that came out of Yamamoto's mouth was "Chigiri, you and your gremlins put my guts back in, Yachiru, round up some assholes and DEAL WITH THAT FUCKING THING." and the 11th's prerogative and hiring practices have not changed since. Since the 11th's work is more intermittent, there are long periods between jobs for them, and it's only recently they've been allowed to pitch in on regular maintenance and rehabilitate their reputation as a bunch of lazy degenerates.
Divison 12: Supplies (more recently, Research and Development) Prior to Kisuke Urahara's weird science boner, the 12th Division's primary job was the manufacture and supply of everything the Shinigami would need to do their jobs. Uniforms, Gigai, medical supplies, communicators, rations, Gikon, the actual buildings in the Seireitei, bedding, Protective gear- if a Shinigami received it for their job, it was made by the 12th division. Despite previous captain Kirio Hikifune being the most accomplished chef in the history of Soul Society, it's Mayuri that has made the most profound mark on Soul Society Cuisine with the fast-prepared, acceptable-tasting and surprisingly nutritious meals he developed to deal with the mass influx of souls after WW2, and the franchise distribution centers combined with his attempts at children's educational programming mean that Mayuri occupies a cultural niche in Soul Society not unlike Krusty The Clown.
Division 13: Magical Research, Kido Corps Until recently, the Kido Corps was a seperate division governed under the purview of the central 46, and the 13th division was doing it's research into Hado, Bakudo and Haikido independently, but as the two organizations worked increasingly closely together, they began to share more until the catastrophic events of Turn Back The Pendulum left the Kido Corps severely depleted and without leadership, at which point Yamamoto persuaded the central 46 to let the 13th division absorb the rest of the Kido corps and take on their work.
So that's how the government in Soul Society is SUPPOSESD to work.

Any reasonable person would think, with the sheer length of Eddie's hair, that he would have the slightest idea of how to care for it.
If you thought that, you'd be wrong. He was flying by the seat of his pants, with a bonus of simple luck. It was astonishing that his hair didn't get matted throughout day to day life, let alone the end of the world.
Yes, Eddie obviously went to a hospital after it all. Nobody could have survived that level substantial of injuries without it. But no matter the NDA's, or the "freedom from prosecution," as Dr. Owens puts it, it didn't come with a clean-wiped slate in the public eye.
So Eddie chose to lay low. He got the treatments that were deemed necessary by the doctors, and then he got the hell out of there.
At least, from all of this, Eddie learned only to run when he needed to.
Part of him was scared he and Wayne wouldn't be able to swing the bill. That part of him was satiated when Owens's team swung the bill and replaced the... mangled Munson trailer. These government reparations didn't anywhere near touch the damage that was done, but Wayne and Eddie would take what they could get. Like they always had. Of course, the universe saw fit that Eddie take a little more.
Eddie was told -putting it politely- to stay the fuck out of that trailer park. Just because his name was cleared legally doesn't mean he should be anywhere he would normally go about his business. Not for the next couple weeks, at least.
And Steve Harrington, ever so giving, offered up his home as sanctuary.
And of course, Eddie was immediately trying to find a way out of it. When that didn't work, he started asking how soon he needed to leave. He didn't want to feel like a burden, especially not to Steve.
"Stay as long as you need, Eds. Forever, for a little while, on and off, literally anything as long as I don't have to carry you out of hell again. That's the one condition."
Sure, living with Steve had it's perks. He had some semblance of privacy, walls with ANY soundproofing, and company. What more could a boy ask for, you would think.
Not living down the hall from his crush while looking like a walking nightmare, Eddie thought, was a perfectly reasonable thing to ask for. He did not get that.
Despite living in the same house as him, he avoided Steve like the plague. Steve had made it clear his 'what's mine is yours' attitude was open to Eddie, but Eddie preferred his room. His boxes from the old trailer were there, his guitar, his sanity (or what remains). The moment he limped his way out of that door, he was in the realm of Steve. And he did not feel up to the task of being presentable in front of his literal crush.
Still, Steve came into his room every so often. Eddie went to the hospital, but he wasn't magically better. Steve changed his bandages, helped him when he needed it, brought him homemade soup? Because, somehow, Eddie is in an alternate dimension where Steve Harrington is making him his grandma's chicken noodle soup recipe for him. And it is PHENOMENAL.
Eddie could have never expected any of the past month's events. He was still grappling with the fact that life would just... return to normal somehow after the end of the world.
He had enough on his plate. However, the universe thought fit to throw some more on.
During one of his Steve-check-ups™, Steve just absentmindedly mentioned something Eddie was dreading.
"How have you been dealing with all that hair? I mean it's been in a new bun every day this week but you can barely lift your arms?"
"Well, actually Steve," Eddie started, "I haven't. This is the same bun you put in on Wednesday." He tilted his head down, he didn't really want to look Steve in the eye when he said that.
"Well shit Eddie, what can I do to help?"
And wasn't it oh so nice when Steve looked up at him with those big eyes, knocking on the door of his soul. How could Eddie turn his gaze from that?
"What can be done? I can't wash it until these fuckers-" He pointed at the sides of his abdomen, to the bandages that Steve had just finished replacing, "have healed enough for me to lift my arms, which should be almost any time now. Then, we can take these bandages off, I can get out of your hair, and I can clean my own."
It was pretty obvious that neither of the men liked that agreement, but Eddie saw it as the only option. Wait a week, lift his arms, get the hell out of dodge. Easy enough.
"I could wash your hair. You know I know how to." Steve replied, a genuine offer, not a throwaway or handout that was just a kind gesture.
"No, Stevie, you don't need to worry about m-"
"Checkmate, I already do. You lock yourself in here except for food, I don't even feel like you're enjoying yourself! What's the point in breaking out of hell, fighting tooth and nail, just to sit in your room? C'mon Eddie, let me do one thing to make your life easier." Steve was interrogating him, but for his own good? And only two weeks ago he thought Steve was just some highschool douche that he just had a little crush on once upon a long time ago. Here he is, caring for him like they've known eachother for years.
"You do enough for me." Eddie hid the blush building on his face by looking to the ground across from Steve. Steve just moved his head there.
"I want to do more. I'm offering to do more."
"You're not going to let me say no, are you?"
"It's your hair, your body! But no, not really."
"Let's go," Eddie said, swinging his legs carefully over the edge of his bed.
And that's how Eddie ended up in a T-shirt and boxers, head laying back in the kitchen sink. He hadn't really gotten to the standing-for-long-periods-of-time point of recovery, so Steve pulled up a stool and a towel for Eddie's shoulders, and got ready to work above his head.
"I'll tell you when to put your head back, don't want to freeze you with the water."
Steve turned the faucet to the hottest setting, then throttled back a little. He carefully took Eddie's hair out and brushed through the ends. It had been in a bun for ages, so at least it didn't get knotted.
"I don't really know much about how curly hair works, but-"
"Oh me either," Eddie interrupted. "Barely even knew I had it. Don't worry about me big boy, no special treatment needed."
"Oh you're getting special treatment, whether you like it or not," Steve said. "Tilt your head back."
And so Eddie did. And he would be flat out lying if he said that he didn't love how gentle Steve's hands felt running across his scalp. He would be lying if he said he didn't like being pampered, just a little. He would be a liar if he told you that this wasn't somehow sensual, or that he wished it had more meaning.
Something about the way Steve was massaging his scalp made him think there could be.
"I'm gonna block your forehead from the water, just warning you." Steve used a cup to get the water to the base of Eddie's scalp, he was thorough with the details and everything.
It made Eddie feel loved. That's new.
Eddie nearly blacked out until it was done. He just soaked it all in, feeling cared for. He had felt cared for before, but never loved, not by someone who wasn't obligated to.
"Why do you do all of this for me?" Eddie truly wanted to know.
"Why shouldn't I?" He replied, as if it was nothing.
"Nobody does." Eddie wanted to say more, but now wasn't the time to throw a pity party and cry in front of Steve Harrington.
"All the more reason to."
"Harrington," Eddie tried to sit up as he talked, "you don't-"
Steve pushed him back down by the chest, conditioner and water soaking into his shirt.
"Don't strain yourself, seriously. Let me rinse this out, then you're free to go back to whatever you were doing." He left one hand on Eddie's chest, not keeping him down, but just resting there. Like he forgot about it, but it felt intentional.
Eddie dragged his hand up to Steve's on his chest.
"Thank you. Really," was all he could muster up without those tears rushing back.
"Of course, Eddie. Wouldn't rather be anywhere else." He continued to work around the ends of Eddie's hair, slowly turning the water off and doing some final slow scrunching motions with the towel not around Eddie's shoulders. "You're all done. Let me help you up."
Taking Eddie's hand in one of his and lifting from Eddie's back, he got Eddie sitting up right. The hand on his back let go, but not the hand in Eddie's.
"Well? Anything you usually do that I can help with?" Steve asked.
"You've done enough," Steve got ready to cut him off, but Eddie beat him to the punch, "I can't do any more without bending over, which is off the table. Seriously, Stevie, you've done more than enough. You've been insane amounts giving and patient with me. You've given me enough."
"I wish I could give more."
"I know."
"I could give more." Steve offered, ready to give all he had in the world.
"Steve," Eddie said, some type of begging look in his eyes, "I don't want to read too much into this but you've offered me more than I could reasonably take. You've given me sanctuary, food, care, what more is there?"
"Love."
Steve laid it all out on the table. All he had left to give was hope that Eddie would take it.
"Can I kiss you?" Eddie asked.
"Please."
And when Eddie took it, it was magical. Just for a moment, all the pain, and bad memories, and nightmares, they just stopped. Suddenly, for a second of time, their was no ring of pain around Steve's neck, no searing, or scorching, or stabbing in Eddie's sides.
Maybe Eddie won't live in Steve's house forever, but he might live in this moment forever.

Regarding Hurricane Helene and those who didn't evacuate
I don't often make huge posts like this, but as someone who has been involved in the emergency response to Hurricane Helene, I have some things to get off my chest.
I am in total shock at the damage Helene did to my area (the Tampa Bay area). Over 8 feet of storm surge, never before seen here, has completely destroyed iconic and vital parts of my community. The storm stayed 100 miles offshore from us but managed this level of devastation. Then, seeing the catastrophic levels of damage for the folks in Taylor County and the Big Bend area, as well as everyone in the South... it's hard to comprehend.
I work in government, so I've been on call the past few days for storm updates. I'm so tired and overwhelmed by the pictures and videos I'm seeing. Last night, I saw posts of people in my area begging for rescue with several feet of water or more in their homes. There are still people awaiting rescue right now. We have 5 confirmed fatalities in my county as of now, all due to storm surge.
With all that said, I'm making this post for a specific reason. I'm seeing a lot of people say, "They were in a mandatory evacuation zone, so it's their own fault for staying and risking their lives," or, worst of all, "emergency services shouldn't help people who were dumb enough to stay."
Quite literally, from the bottom of my heart, go fuck yourself.
You do not understand the immense challenges many people face when mandatory evacuations are called. People with disabilities, the elderly, unhoused individuals, people experiencing poverty, non-English speaking communities, and many other vulnerable populations cannot simply get up and go. Were there people who could've evacuated but didn't because they were being stubborn or flippant? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean these people suddenly lose their human rights because they made a mistake or froze up in fear or could not evacuate for a million different reasons. They still deserve help and understanding.
If you don't live in hurricane-prone areas, you will never fully understand the scope of these impacts, the complacency some people get from repeated storms, the limitations of evacuation resources, and the thousands of obstacles people face when they need to evacuate. Sure, YOU think it would be EASY to pack up and go, but that's often not a reality for many people who are living with disabilities, poverty, abusive situations, etc. The list goes on and on.
I'm honestly horrified by the levels of superiority and callousness with which some people are reacting to pictures and videos of the storm impacts. I usually see some of it every time a major storm occurs, but it seems especially prevalent this time around.
Keep your opinions about evacuations, and your judgment towards those who chose to stay, to yourself.
Hope everyone else affected is hanging in there. <3
#hurricane helene#hurricane#sorry to go off on a rant but I just needed to get this out there#not to mention how common these storms are for some areas and the complacency some people get#evacuating can sometimes be dangerous too with traffic or your car breaking down#there are so many things that can go wrong

Yea, undying duo if phil and foolish! Because phil is mr hardcore survival minecraft and foolish is a totem of undying :D
basically, both cubitos have a wack relationship with death (and, I think, aversion to using totems? I know phil for sure but I'm a bit unsure about foolish)
I've done some qFoolish ones before!
qPhil headcanons masterlist
Phil would take another "vacation" with Foolish any time. Especially since the second time around, he actually got to know him really well. He'd like to see him again the next time they're in the same realm. :')
If he wasn't so Fuck The Feds he would consider doing some kind of huge cool build like the kids wanted them to so badly. Maybe in the next realm they'll do it because they won't have some kind of government hovering around. It's just too bad the kids won't see it.
He wishes he could've actually had time to actually enjoy having the titan by the wall but the Feds relocated them all like right after. After the way Foolish and his builds were disrespected last time they shared a realm, Phil is PISSED the Feds had the audacity to basically do the same. Especially when Foolish (kind of) worked for them!!!
Of everyone he got close to on the island, Foolish is one of the ones he wishes he had more time with. He feels like they were weirdly in different worlds despite them both being present so often. That's,, probably kind of Ender King's fault, honestly. He feels like he fell away from multiple people when things got bad.
Tbh he kinda wanted to ask Foolish about wtf he was up to in the last realm they were both in (aside from building) but decided against it bc a majority of his memories from that one are awful. So either Foolish was suffering too, or Phil wouldn't trust himself not to envy him for not having a horrid time.
Insert "MCC is some kinda canon interdimensional death games" hc here. Phil has SEEN Foolish kick ASS in a way that wasn't hysteria-driven Bolas rabies.
I'd like to think there's been at least one event or something where they just sat together and gave each other building tips.
The historian part of Phil's brain wants to talk to Foolish about what his Literally Undying ass has seen and lived through. How long has he been alive?? As long as Phil? Longer? He needs to know.
He's not sure where the eternal banana came from and at this point he's too afraid to ask.
Phil thrives on being a bystander of Foolish and Bad's find each other in every universe curse. He's not sure if the last realm before QI started it or if they've crossed paths even More before QI, but boy does he love getting to watch their beef.
See, Foolhalo might find each other in every universe (derogatory), but Phil knows the REAL one is Foolish and Tina finding each other in every universe (affectionate).
Something something Foolish totem something something Phil refusing to use totems when he's home in Hardcore. Is this anything. Someone cook for me I'm too stupid.
Phil is never gonna understand when or how Foolish became "King of the Capys" or why they chose him specifically. He assumes Foolish just hung out with them the most or something.
He barely got to know Vegetta but he just KNOWS he was Foolish's type. Which is wild bc prior to getting government assigned spouses, Phil didn't even think Foolish was fruity. Somehow. Looking back, it actually kinda makes sense to him. From what little he knew of Foolish before QI.
Inversely, Foolish was absolutely STUNNED to know Phil is some flavor of poly let alone fruity at all. Which is hilarious bc Phil is too tunnel-visioned on other things to try hiding that fact. But no, shark man beyond baffled that Phil lowkey adjusted to having a government assigned husband almost instantly. AND became possessive of said husband over time.

Judge, Jury and Executioner: Chapter One
Pairing - Fem!Reader x Loki Summary - After the attack on New York, Fury sends Agent Y/l/n to Asguard to conduct a psychiatric evaluation on Loki Warnings - Mentions of violence and death, alcohol consumption Words - 2K
A/n - Hi! Sorry I've been a bit inactive for a month, I've been horribly ill! Anyway, here the first chapter to a new mini series I've been working on :)
Masterlist
Post the attack on New York and the forming of the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D was overrun with work. Safeguarding, new protocol, victim response. Everything was stacked onto each agent's desks. And in the midst of that chaos, was Agent Y/L/N. One of Fury's favourites. Which was exactly why it was she who found the strictly classified case file on her desk that morning.
She only took a peak. That was all she needed. Her head tipped up, looking across the sea of desks, computers and attentive agents. There wasn't a second thought. One glance at that case file, of what it was asking her, and she was stood, striding right up to Fury's office.
He was expecting her nonetheless. "The fuck is this, Fury?" She demanded, taking a stern step into the room. Anger seethed from her tongue. She understood the mission, sure, but why her? Of all the agents, of the heroes Fury had at his disposal now, why was this case assigned to her?
The file was thrown right in front of the man. Not that he was shocked by her temper, this was exactly what he expected: backlash. "Come right it, why don't you." He murmured, slowly gazing up at her.
"What happened to me coordinating victim response?" Y/n seemed to have to remind her boss. "This-" She pointed to the file, "This has nothing to do with me."
"You do recall the part where I'm your superior, I chose what has nothing to do with you and what does." As much as she wanted to argue, she normally liked her job. "You're one of the few agents I do trust and I trust you to be the best to get this job done. You have a history in psychological, criminal psychology nonetheless."
Y/n simply scoffed, "Nick, Loki isn't a criminal, he's a supervillain." She corrected. "And I'm no more than human, I'm no avenger, I'm an agent, that's it. I can't do this." A fact of which the girl had assumed was obvious.
"You won't be in danger, okay? I assure you." Nick promised. "It's one psychiatric evaluation."
"Yeah, on another planet!" Y/n just had to make the point.
The man huffed, he knew he was asking a lot, but he truly only had one option. And that was her. "You'll not be there long, okay? The government just want to feel assured that he has no intention of coming back here."
Y/n thought about it. Maybe if she forgot the other planet and the God aspect of the case, maybe it wasn't so bad. Maybe it was just a psychiatric evaluation. Something of which she had done hundreds of times. "You promise me I'll be safe?" Her tone finally calmed as her pupils softened.
"I wouldn't send you there if it wasn't." Nick valued her. More than just an Agent, but as a friend. Something he didn't have many of. "The King of Asgard, Odin and Thor have both vowed to look out for you, to check in."
Gods, looking after her. Was she hearing this right? So much for a normal day at the office. "Oh great, that's just-" She huffed just at the thought.
Fury stood as his expression softened. "I'll check in with you every day. And, honestly, you shouldn't be there long." When Y/n stared back with nothing but fear written in her pupils, Fury offered something else, "Look, if you get there and you want out, fine."
An escape route. A safety net to catch her if she fell. "When do I leave?"
"This afternoon." Guess there was no time to waste when a universal war criminal was waiting.
So as Y/n returned to her apartment, packing clothes she was sure she would look stupid in while at Asgard, she just prayed she would make it back in one piece. This was no normal trip. Even after she stood alongside Hill and Fury during the attack on New York, this was something different. This was something on another planet. Just when she thought she had seen it all.
Thor had been waiting for the girl outside S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters, magical hammer in hand and cape swaying in the wind. "Agent Y/l/n?" He grinned as she wandered up, bag slung over one shoulder.
Y/n nodded her head, "God man." She greeted.
He chuckled, "You ready?"
"I'd rather not answer that." Her words caused a chuckle from the man as he took a hold of her; humans weren't the best at their Asgardian travel.
Before she realised it, a flash of light beamed throughout her vision. No longer was she staring at headquarters, no New York, not even America, just empty space. This was no tech. This was no train or jet, this was magic and it scared the shit out of her.
So much so, that when her feet finally hit solid ground, she was gasping for air. Her grip on the God not enough to steady her as she wobbled, slowly able to establish her footing. Y/n's struggle only caused another chuckle from Thor, "Oh, Humans." He spoke as if this was a funny pastime or some inside joke she wasn't a part of.
Before Y/n could reply, the bag from her shoulder was gripped from her. A shimmering guard taking hold of it, "Erm- what? That's-"
"They're taking it to your quarters in the castle," Thor informed.
"Right, of course." She certainly wasn't used to servants, or guards, or gold, or any of this.
With a moment of breath, she stared around their landing zone. "Thank you, Hemdel." Thor spoke as he led the way onto the Bifrost, Y/n following loosely behind. "Come on, Human!"
What awaited them outside the golden entrance was a long, shimmering rainbow road. Along with more guards and horses. She was a long way from New York that was sure. Across the road, Y/n could already spot the blinding sandy glow from the Asgardian town. A place she would call home for a few days. "You know how to ride?" Thor questioned, bringing her attention back to the very reason this was her temporary home.
Y/n scoffed, "Motorbike? yeah. Car? sure. Even jets. But a horse?" She raised her brow at Thor as if his question was a stupid one. "Can't say we've ever needed one of them in New York."
Thor adjusted the straps of the yellow horse as he glanced back at the agent, "Well then, you can ride with me."
She huffed, though what else was she to expect in such a Kingdom? She followed Thor's instructions, cautiously placing her foot onto the saddle of the horse before jumping onto the back. Within moments, the animal was moving. The blinding glimmer of Asgard came closer and closer as they entered the tall gates of the Kingdom.
Faces of Asgardian townspeople stared up. First at the God and then to the human who certainly didn't fit in with the rest of them. Suddenly, Y/n was overly aware of herself. This wasn't a place she belonged.
Thor rode all the way into the castle's stables, the two guards following his every move. And when the wooden gates slowed, he stepped off first, offering his hand for Y/n to take as she slid from the animal. Once again, she was following after him like a lost puppy as he guided her through the long, confusing corridors of the castle. "A long trip deserves a drink, yes?"
Y/n had to quicken her speed to keep up with his pace, "Of course, yes." She nodded.
He turned; she followed. "You like ale? Wine?"
"We may not have horses in New York, but we certainly have options of alcoholic beverages."
"I'll take that as a yes then."
Before she realised it, Thor had led them towards the closest tavern. With the sun setting on Asguards, several of its people had taken to the pub, chatting loudly as they gulped down their drinks. "Horgan!" Thor grinned as he shook the hand of the barman.
"I see you have the midgardian." The bearded man glanced over at Y/n.
She offered an awkward smile at him, "Hi." And then a small, weak wave.
"Ale for me and-" Thor turned to the girl.
"Wine, please." Another awkward smile.
With drinks in hand, Thor swerved through the crowds, towards a shadowy back corner where the chuckles of drunken Asgardians weren't so loud. Y/n took a seat in the wooden chair, sipping carefully at her sparkling beverage. "Thank you for coming." Thor broke the silence again.
She shrugged, "I'm here on orders." If it were up to her, she wouldn't be here at all. However, the girl thought it best not to tell the God of thunder such.
"Of course, Fury, I understand." The blonde nodded. "Just, I know he attacked your city, but when it comes to the evaluation tomorrow, please be open-minded."
"Part of the job is being open-minded." Even if this certain patient was a God.
"He's not so bad." Thor tried to reason.
Y/n swallowed the scoff which had been waiting at the tip of her tongue, "He's a war criminal."
Thor broke into a weak smile; he couldn't deny his brother's recent actions, nor would he dare to justify them. "His actions were terribly wrong and trust me, he deserves to be in that cell." The man took a breath, leaning back in the chair. "But truly, my brother is simply a troubled man."
Y/n had faced many troubled men in her job. None quite as troubled as Loki however. "Well, I intend to find out why." She sent him a smile before taking another sip of her wine.
Whether Loki was troubled or not, he was a threat. Though, whether the man was still a threat to Earth was another question. The very reason she was here. Men like him, criminals, they didn't tend to give in easily. Even if they were locked in a cell, condemned for their devious actions.
When it came morning and Y/n was escorted from the golden palace down to the cells, she grew nervous. No thoughts could calm the anxiety which bubbled through her skin. And no matter how many times she told herself this was just another criminal, it would be over in a few days, nothing could have prepared her for coming face to face with the man who attacked New York.
Her feet clicked along the stone floor of the long dungeon. While she attempted to keep her eyes set forward, look like she wasn't bothered, passing the several different homicidal creatures was hard to ignore. And right at the end of the hallway was the creature she feared the most: the God of Mischief.
She slowed and turned to face his cell. Different to the rest. Not empty, but more like a makeshift dorm. Bed, books, sofa. Comfort.
It was like he had been waiting for her. Seated on the velvet sofa, staring at the girl protected between two guards. A moment of silence. Her heart bounded. Her hands shivering despite the warmth of the castle. All she needed to do was get this over with.
"I did wonder who they might send." His head tilted, eyes narrow as if he could read her thoughts like flicking through pages of a book.
Y/n swallowed the lump in her throat, stern in her expression. If she could just pretend she was fearless for a moment maybe he wouldn't see right through her. But facing this God of mischief, the killer of hundreds, it wasn't so easy. She couldn't just pretend he was anyone. He wasn't just another troubled man. He was a God and it terrified her.

ZADR where one day Zim is strolling along the streets of Cyberflox when suddenly he bumps into Dib. Except he doesn't recognize him at first because he's gone through a drastic and seemingly instant growth spurt. Dib says it's been years since they last saw each other, to Zim's surprise. Thinking back on it, the last time he recalled seeing Dib they had set aside their differences to fight a common enemy. Both were badly injured and believed they were dying and the last thing either of them saw before losing consciousness was each other.
Dib tries asking Zim what happened to him, but Zim doesn't remember anything after that. In fact, he can't even recall how he ended up on Cyberflox or what he was doing up until the moment Dib approached him, as if it was a dream.
Zim and Dib are both curious about this mystery and Zim agrees to allow Dib to investigate and try to help him piece together what Zim has been up to the last few years and why he can't remember. They try checking Zim's PAK and it seems the missing data has either been erased or encrypted rather than corrupted, meaning somebody definitely tampered with it and Zim's memory loss wasn't a result of damage to his PAK when he was injured.
Zim asks Dib what happened to him and Dib says he woke up in a hospital after being rescued by humans, but when he asked about Zim they said he was alone when they found him. Dib says he thought one of his minions had come to rescue him, but when he came to his house it was gone, along with any trace of him, GIR, or Minimoose ever being there. He says he learned his lesson from the Florpus incident and chose not to wait around for him to appear and just moved on with his life and forgot all about him after awhile. But the longer they investigate the mystery of what happened to Zim, the more Dib opens up and admits the truth about how he spent the intervening years.
He never believed that he'd been found alone. He was sure that Zim had been rescued by human first responders who promptly discovered he was an alien when they attempted to treat him and the government subsequently collected him and hushed the whole thing up. Dib searched relentlessly for any trace of him, at first telling himself that he couldn't stand for the truth to be covered up and never get the credit he deserved for being right. But really, he just needed closure. It was torture not knowing if he'd ever see Zim again. He tried to let go and move on, just accept that he was dead and gone for good, but he never stopped investigating. He never gave up hope that Zim was still alive and he could find him.
Membrane died suddenly when he was barely an adult and because he refused to give up the paranormal to take over Membrane Labs, Gaz had to do it even though it wasn't what she wanted either, because if she didn't some techbro douchebag would ruin their family legacy. This drove a wedge between them until they stopped talking to each other. Then Dib irrevocably fucked up his life by getting caught hacking government files searching for any trace of Zim, and now he can't ever return to earth to reconcile with Gaz or he'll be thrown in some deep dark hole and never see the light of day again.
So he started a new life exploring space, taking odd jobs putting his investigative skills to use, mostly picking up criminals and turning them in for bounties, but occasionally solving intriguing mysteries like Zim's.
That's all I got, I don't have an actual answer to the mystery.

It's kinda saying a lot that Cassidy who was in a literal gang that went around robbing and killing is basically saying "this is fucked up and we shouldn't do this" about Blackwatch's most especially Reyes' actions.
Essentially he went from one bad place (Deadlock) to a worse one (Blackwatch), but this one somehow pretends to be heroes and sort of is government approved in a way.
By the way you cannot tell me Jack didn't know what was going on in Blackwatch and what it was doing. At that point he would have to knowingly look away to not notice it.
Also: why tf are they recruiting teenagers? Cassidy was like 17 when they forced him to join. A literal child soldier. What the actual-
Wonderful idea: Put the orphan child soldier with the worse criminals and put him on live endangering missions that force him to do even worse stuff than in the literal gang and he cannot say no, because Blackwatch essentially owns him.
How did no one in Overwatch not bat an eye??????? How can they claim innocence????? When everything is right in front of them?????
The thing is...people did disapprove.
In Declassified it's revealed that when Cassidy was brought on there was concern about Cassidy being a minor, I do also think that a big part of it was how closed off Blackwatch was and Cassidy's own past probably contributed to not a lot of people not being concerned enough about his hiring. I would also like to point out that the only person who talks to Cassidy about retiring is Torbjorn, and considering that out of the old guard he was likely the only one to have a child close to Cassidy's age, it wouldn't surprise me if Torbjorn was one of those people who disagreed with Cassidy going on missions so young, again, specifically the type of missions Cassidy was going on.
There's also the fact that the three people most involved with Cassidy being in Overwatch, Jack, Gabe and Ana, wouldn't have seen this as out of the ordinary. Jack joined the military the moment he could, Reyes graduated collage ahead of schedule and likely started as a detective young and the Amari's were a military family, meaning Ana likely joined the military young too. Does this excuse how Cassidy was treated? Absolutely not. Despite all of this all three of them would have been put under regular military regulations, and so was Cassidy if it wasn't for the fact that those "vacations" (secret Blackwatch missions) included Cassidy.
When it comes to that do I think that Jack knew? No, at that point in time I don't think Jack knew what type of missions Cassidy was being put on. However do I think that later Jack chose to turn a blind eye to this kind of stuff? Absolutely, the big reason likely being that he trusted Reyes's judgment. It wasn't until Cassidy told him what was going on during the Rialto mission that he likely fully knew the truth.
When it comes to Cassidy's opinion on Blackwatch and Deadlock specifically it's also very contrasting. We honestly never hear Cassidy talk negatively about Deadlock as a whole, he talks about a fond memory with Ashe about a heist, he misses the simplicity of Deadlock, he talks about Bars, he looks back at Deadlock and thinks positively about it. Meanwhile we hear basically nothing about Blackwatch, and when we do it's usually negative. He missed Overwatch sure, it's why he's back and it's why he's staying, but Blackwatch was a completely different situation. A situation he didn't like.

So I'm confused about something. There was a cover story about Ms Goldenweek and other Baroque works agents breaking Crocodile out of prison but he just. Told them no? And stayed there with Mr 1 and Mr 2? I don't get why he wanted to go to Impel Down just to break out when he had the chance
I can't tell you 100% why Crocodile chose to stay in prison and go to Impel Down, but my best guess really is that he was just...
Taking the L with grace
More specifically. Crocodile had lost everything. I think deep inside he might've been literally too depressed to want to go free again.
Like he does literally say that. He gave up.
He had been building his reputation as "the Hero of Alabasta" for at least 10 years at this point. He had built not just a criminal organization that he had been running for four years, but also he had been running legal business stuff (like his casino) for probably longer than that. A decade's worth of work and effort to take over a country, and most importantly, get away with it. The reason he had orchestrated that whole rebellion was so that the rebels and the royal family could "take each other out", leaving the country wide open for a World Government Official such as himself to take up. The reason Baroque Works was doing this all in secret was so that the WG never found out, otherwise they wouldn't have let him have Alabasta.
But indeed, his plans were foiled by a kid in flipflops in less than 24 hours, just at the final moment before Crocodile would win. He lost everything. And the World Government found out about what he had been planning.
So even if he escaped from that prison with his former agents, what was he going to do?
He wouldn't be able to take over Alabasta anymore because he did not have manpower (as he had lost all his goons), and having lost his financial empire he wouldn't be able to build a new army any time soon. And even if he did, now that they knew what he had done the people of Alabasta would not accept him as their new king, even if he personally assasinated Cobra and the entire family. Not to mention, the WG finding out about his plans meant that they had every fucking reason to try and stop Crocodile if he did as much as set foot on that island again. By which I mean, they could launch a Buster Call on his ass. Send all the fucking Admirals after him. And so, even if Crocodile still believed Pluton was somewhere in Alabasta and that he just had to comb through the entire desert to find it... Between the Alabastan people and the WG in the way, finding Pluton would not be easy. Especially when Robin wouldn't even be there to just point him directly to it. It could take years, if not decades, while fighting off the WG by himself. And that's while assuming Pluton was somewhere in Alabasta. Like WE the readers now know Pluton is in Wano, but since Robin didn't tell him that. All Robin said was that the Poneglyph "didn't mention the weapon", and Cobra's reaction to the name merely proved the weapon's existence in Crocodile's mind. But surely, because Crocodile is a smart young man, he'd understand there was a risk that Pluton could exist, but just not be in Alabasta, right? Like that would be a possibility too, right?
I think this is why Crocodile has given up on Alabasta. He had one opportunity at seizing the country, and he failed. And without Robin, he could spend the rest of his life combing through a haystack for a needle when there's no needle, and he'd have no idea. I think is why he explicitly says in Impel Down he no longer has "interest in that country". He won't be able to pull off another stunt like this, ever.
And that leads us back to "why not escape earlier and avoid going to Impel Down to begin with". Thanks to his status as a Shichibukai, Crocodile hasn't been on the run from the WG for like two decades. And the past 10 or so years he has seemingly lived a life of luxury in his funny little casino. But now, having lost everything, he'd be back on the run. And because he's a world famous former "hero of the people", there would be nowhere he'd be able to go where people would not recognize him and send the marines after him. So he'd be on the run, for the rest of his life or until he'd get capture again. And mind you, the guy does not trust anyone, so he'd be on the run alone. Without any purpose or goal.
And you might be thinking, "Daz and the rest of BW was still there!", yeah, arguably true. But at this point Crocodile had no reason to trust any of them. Like personally, I think the reason Crocodile ended up taking a liking to Daz was BECAUSE he chose to follow him to Impel Down when he really did not have to. Like Daz showed an unusual level of loyalty to Crocodile, and I think Crocodile recognized that. That's why Daz is still with Croc, post-timeskip. But Miss Goldenweek and co? Crocodile had no reason to believe they wouldn't betray him if given a chance and a reason. And if the WG would come chasing his ass, they'd have plenty of reason to try and betray Croc (handing Crocodile over to spare their own lives). Not to mention, when they come release their former boss from jail, what did Miss Goldenweek say?
"Let's do Baroque Works again"
As I've already explained in detail, I think we might know why Crocodile wasn't interested in being Baroque Works' "boss" again.
So. Yeah. If in Crocodile's mind he'd be on the run from the Government for the first time in two decades all alone, in a situation where rebuilding what he had before would be bloody hard if not downright impossible, and he wouldn't be able to obtain what he had spent the last decade working for regardless...
Taking the L and just going to prison might've been the easier option
#Moon posting#Asks#OP Meta#Sir Crocodile#Long post#Mind you Crocodile only *left* jail because he saw AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY for petty revenge#Like had it not been for that war bringing Whitebeard out he probably would not have bothered to try and fight WB again#Otherwise he could've just escaped prison with Goldenweek and co and travelled to the New World to fight the old man right away#((Also theoretically Crocodile might've been slightly suicidal with the ''taking WB's head'' thing))#Also worth noting that Crocodile choosing to stay in prison could've had two other purposes re:the former agents#It could've been a test of loyalty (to see if anyone would stay with him or would they all abandon him)#Which could be important to Mr Trust Issues (and to be fair he did find at least one loyal subordinate in Daz)#((Like if they had all told Croc they'd stay with him...... Who knows. Maybe he might've chosen to escape after all?))#Other option: Crocodile escaping with them would mean the agents would be in much more danger than they'd be without him#Like the WG wouldn't send tons of marines after the individual agents if they all scattered to the winds#But if they all stuck together they'd become a bigger target. And even more so if Crocodile was there to lead them#And like. IDK if Crocodile was willing to leave out Goldenweek from the assassination order and spare her... Maybe this was the same#Maybe he wanted to spare Goldenweek (and the rest?) from being put into danger by going with them?#I dunno man this reptile has far too many layers to him I can't tell what's going on in his head

One Piece Chapter 1120 - Initial Thoughts
And we're here again
Back from Break and Ready for a Robot Rumble The transmission continues and the Gorosei are converging, but the crew are still looking for a a way out
Let's see what we have going for us this time
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Relase
Yamato's problem with the kids is swiftly resolved with Denjiro's appearance, now the Daimyo of Kibi
Oda's notes mentions Rayquaza which is my favourite legendary Pokémon so I gotta shout that out
And with the title being 'Atlas' I think we know what's gonna happen
26 years ago in Punk Hazard, Clover comes to visit Vegapunk to help him research the Void Century
You can see a head at the top of the giant fence, which I would assume is one of the Numbers, the one in the Bruce Lee suit back in Wano I'd guess
Also Vegapunk's artificial dragon is diddy sized
Since he works for the Government, Vegapunk of course says no, wondering why Clover keeps getting released
Of course he's the smartest man in the world, so he quickly surmises that Clover is likely attempted bait for his associates
He insists that the past should be left behind, but Clover has personal reasons for investigating it
He knew someone who was a D. his older brother!
Claíomh D. Clover, surprised but should've expected an Irish name from him, Claíomh or Claidheamh means 'Sword' btw
His unnamed brother was killed in front of him for being a D, he lied and told the killer it was just a friend
'How am I meant to accept a world where you can die for having the wrong name?' - tragic given that he died uttering a name
Taken aback, Vegapunk tells Clover to leave, forgetting what he heard and telling his old friend to stay safe
'The voices of the past call out to you' - again with the heavy hitters Clover
Insisting that he will uncover history to the point he will be unable to be ignored, we flash forward to the Ohara Incident, where he uncovered history to the point where he was unable to be ignored
Fuck you and your bowl cut Caesar, revelling in the fact that Ohara got nuked
And excuse you that ain't some brat that is Nico Robin my (at that point in time, future) wife
We see another internal thought from Vegapunk while at Ohara, sad that Clover and the scholars chose death, hoping that someone would continue where they left off
And back to the present, Vegapunk's transmission echoes Clover's words about the voices of the past, but also that History is written by the Victors
Zeff cameo, also Tequila Wolf shown again - Oda keeps having it show up what is the secret?
Also my wife Nico Robin, still listening while having to handle her past trauma as Vegapunk notes how history is erased or rewritten, but still lives on in the survivors and the oppressed
Zoro and Jinbe didn't latch onto the ship as planned, because Lilith is objecting the plan to leave now
She has done all the math and the wind direction, calculating that any change of direction caused by V. Nusjuro can be fatal since it'll change the landing position
But up comes Atlas, and she smacks the shit out of Lilith
The crew is naturally confused, but Lilith is KO'd and something switched off in her head
'I'll leave her in your hands, take off! I'll make sure you make it in One Piece' - ...is, is that a roll credits moment?
The KOing of Lilith was tactical though, since she switched off her connection to the main hub - causing York to believe Lilith is dead
V. Nusjuro makes a charge as the Straw Hats ready their Coup de Burst, but is met by a charging Atlas
V. Nusjuro cleanly takes the arm of the Vegapunk of Violence, but she doesn't need that arm to do what needs to be done, as she pulls the Gorosei away for the Sunny to fly off
Back down below the Navy have to take in the fact that it's a full blown Kaiju movie going on right now
Luffy, Sanji, Franky and the Giants have the classic One Piece 'boys love robots' moment
Emeth speaks to Joy Boy, glad to meet them again
Luffy though, confused, doesn't know that he's being addressed
Even centuries old giants are able to do the 'oy' backhand gag
Noting that the Gorosei are Joy Boy's enemies, Emeth resolves that they are their enemy, and they are glad to fight for Joy Boy again
Ju Peter and Warcury are still very willing to put down Emeth, and end Vegapunk's transmission
But Luffy and the Giants are making their leave, as Brogy asks if Emeth's a friend
Luffy notes that it said it was protecting 'some guy called Joy Boy'
But here's the interesting part, the Giants didn't hear a voice: that was the Voice of All Things, perhaps even a voice of the past huh?
Still a kid, Bluegrass attempts to refocus the Navy back on the longboat
Vegapunk's closing words mention that people should have the right to learn from the past, from all perspectives
Ju Peter preps a big human teeth chomp, but Emeth is readying an attack
Sanji and Franky await the beam or a rocket punch, but instead they get a fizzle
Blue balled, Emeth gets its arm bitten off, the 900 years have done a number on the weapons it had
Saturn meanwhile comes charging, leaping off Ju Peter to land on the longboat
His main focus seems to be Kuma and Bonney, but Sanji spots the Sunny taking flight from up above
The trajectory seems good but the distance is still short
and not far behind V. Nusjuro cuts through Atlas, mocking her attempt at a grand sacrifice
but Atlas' expression turns soft, and with a smile she notes she's simply lending a hand
And from her death, the explosion propels the Sunny towards the sea
Usopp and Chopper doing right by thanking Atlas, as York revels in being the 'Last Vegapunk' - only to be corrected by V. Nusjuro
Emeth realises that it has rusted for too long, but there was a time Joy Boy spoke of, and they wonder if they can 'use it' for this moment
During all this, Vegapunk notes how Roger and his crew must know the full story, that they must've heard it from the 'purest source possible', and that it may end up determining how things transpire in the future
Prisoners cover the final panel
Oh shit he did say it, the government did try to keep it under wraps: Gol D. Roger
Well it looks like it's curtains for Emeth. We pour one out for Atlas, the first Vegapunk Luffy met, who was nothing but welcoming to him, who fought even when outmatched against Lucci, and sacrificed themselves to help the Straw Hats, just as Edison did.
Last chapter many were suggesting Bonney4Nakama, but I wonder if this chapter does anything for Lilith4Nakama. She was a bit argumentative, but it is still a hell of a feather in the cap to have a Vegapunk on your team, even if it is Grand Fleet. Plus she is the most pirate of the Punks, looting ships for resources and funding, and as the 'evil' one the WG would spin the story so she can't persuade the world about what truly happened.
This chapter had some good stuff when it came to the importance of history, it could've been very easy for Ohara to have been forgotten to the story, but Oda maintains it as a centerpiece of history, the destruction of Ohara literally triggered so many other smaller events that have snowballed and come to bite the Gorosei. Emeth speaking using the Voice of All Things is interesting too, because Zunesha did that as well, the Sea Kings did that too, did Joy Boy unite all races under this voice perhaps? And what is it really?
Questions upon questions, but now that Luffy has heard the name Joy Boy I wonder if he will at one point try to inquire into it, Robin has been quietly soaking up this knowledge, it is a lot to take in but it also feels like she will have more things she can reveal to the crew from it.
The Sunny makes it to sea though, Saturn seems to be the last obstacle (Egghead has been pretty cyclic; Lilith and Atlas were the first met Vegapunks but were also the last allied Vegapunks, Saturn was the first Gorosei obstacle and now he's the last), who does it fall to in order to stop him? Sanji is due a moment that's not undercut by failure, but it can also fall to Kuma to push away the first true obstacle and mastermind behind every tragedy in his life one last time, his powers are designed to push things away.
There seems a tiny bit left of Vegapunk's transmission and I'm still waiting on why it needed a video feed, but it would bode to finish on a strong closing argument.

Any song can be curtwen-coded if you're delusional enough BUT for me, the most saf-related song will always be Working for a Knife by Mitski, and listening to it again roday hit me with a lot of thoughts and feelings. Because 'working for a knife' itself means working towards something that will destroy you. It shows the correlation between what you have to do and what leads to your inevitable end.
So, like, pre-canon espionage? Fits. Curt's return to the profession? Fits. Owen as a DMA? Fits!
It also fits Tatiana and her past, although she is the one who manages to get away from it (all the best for our girl <3).
I cry at the start of every movie I guess 'cause I wish I was making things too But I'm working for the knife I used to think I would tell stories But nobody cared for the stories I had about No good guys
It's about Curt and Owen pre-canon, when the work ceased to be what brought them together and began to get in the way (along with other factors) of their future together, or any future for that matter. Maybe it's the moment when Owen gets fed up with spying and starts to consider all the ways his life could have turned out if he'd made a different decision in the past. It's when he sees all the 'what ifs...' that never got a chance to become reality. Or maybe those are the short moments when Curt—the one who loves what he does because it's his dream and because it's cool as fuck—begins to see that it made his alcohol problem a little bit bigger and his wellbeing worse—even if he'll never admit it out loud.
It's the final realisation of what their end will be. They'll die on a mission at some completely unexpected moment. They're working for the knife — for something that will get them killed one day, without giving them any chance for a normal life together.
Tatiana, whose life has been marked by violence since childhood, who is thrown into this environment against her will, with no control over it. Until she finally manages to regain this control, but even then she cannot be fully free and is forced to act on behalf of her blackmailer.
I always knew the world moves on I just didn't know it would go without me I start the day high and it ends so low 'Cause I'm working for the knife I used to think I'd be done by twenty Now at twenty-nine, the road ahead appears the same Though maybe at thirty, I'll see a way to change That I'm living for the knife
Curt is returning to his profession after four years of grief and stagnation, but despite taking that step, he is still in the same place, dwelling on what he did, when the whole world moved on like nothing happened. But eventually he goes back to being a spy, something Owen would have wanted for him. His healing journey can begin, right? Even if he's returning to something that was slowly destroying him in the past — things will be different now, right??
Owen is so committed to his revenge that it's impossible for him to move on completely (no matter what he says in the finale, like be for real). And of course, he has his goal, and everything will be fine once he achives it. But for that to happen, he has to work for another organisation. They can present themselves as a better alternative to government organisations all they want, but we don't know how they really treated Owen. But what we are sure of is that, at the end of the day, he ended up dead. So, in the end, it is always dying for the knife, no matter which one.
I always thought the choice was mine And I was right, but I just chose wrong I start the day lying and end with the truth That I'm dying for the knife
So maybe going with Chimera's plan was the biggest mistake. Or maybe 'the knife' was just his relationship with Curt all along. Maybe in his mind that was the wrong choice that he made, that got him killed twice.
And Curt, during his grieving period, tried to pull himself together, get out of alcoholism, and move on. But that strong resolve to get back on his feet came every morning, only to disappear every evening, when he no longer had the strength to lie to himself that things would get better. And Curt post-canon, who gradually, more and more clearly, sees that he cannot destroy Chimera alone and that attempting to do so by himself was not the best choice.
Or maybe the worst choice was killing Owen on that staircase.
#shit this is long#no one asked but I needed to get it out of my system#spies are forever#agent curt mega#owen carvour#tatiana slozhno#curtwen#whole laurel hell album is pretty saf-coded tbh#mitski

Savior. Arthur Morgan x Reader. Part 2!
WARNING: MENTIONS OF RAPE, CUSSING (ofc) MENTIONS OF VIOLENCE.
("Italics" are thoughts. Regular font is speaking.)
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞
===============================
Arthur woke up to hear the pops of a fire. He was in a tent, on a bedroll. His chest was bandaged in all the spots he was cut by...
"That bastard."
Arthur forced himself to sit up, looking through the tiny flap of the tent.
He was expecting to see someone. But he surely wasn't expecting it to be you.
The way the fire lit up your face with the prettiest orange not even the sky could be.
The moon shone down on your beautiful hair.
Arthur never really looked at you the way he was now.
And, you and him weren't on good terms.
Not like him and Micah, but you weren't best friends like him and John either.
Back in Colter, when the gang had robbed Cornwall's train, you weren't listening to anyone at all.
After the whole robbery went bad and everyone had to help fight off an army of men, and finally made it back to camp, he cussed you out.
He yelled at you about how careless you were.
Yes he was mad,
But not because you weren't listening.
He was afraid you would get hurt.
But you took the wrong hint and have been ignoring him ever since.
Arthur thought after you guys had just moved into horseshoe overlook that you would start talking to him again. But you haven't.
Arthur dismissed the thought from his head and focused back on you.
You were cooking what looked like some plain game over the fire.
He watched a bit longer before sighing and laying back down.
Meanwhile, you were cooking some food for him so he could at least get something in his stomach. He looks starved. You were out here for him anyways so might as well help him.
After Arthur left for a while, Dutch sent you out to go look for him, claiming it will "fix the broken love story"
Dutch knew you were sweet on Arthur cause you would always tell him and Hosea and him about how you could imagine a future with Arthur.
You smiled at the thought, starting a family and living out in the West where you have been so deprived and moved further from.
Cooking dinner for him and your 2.5 kids every night. And sleeping in the same bed as him and seeing that handsome face first thing in the morning.
You would do anything to have that life.
But you don't.
And you don't see it coming any time soon.
Cause all you have been doing is running.
You can't escape from the government.
Even if you're dead.
Tears pricked your eyes at the thought of never leaving the life of an outlaw.
A killer.
A theif.
A liar.
You wiped your tears with the back of your hand and took a deep breath before standing up and making your way to the tent.
You felt your heart rate quicken... Were you gonna talk to him? You avoided contact cause you were afraid interactions would damage what "little" relationship you had left. Or that's what you thought.
You slowly pulled open the tent flap to see arthur looking at the top of the tent.
"I brought you food.. No no no.... Here you go... No.... I brought you some food and it might hurt to eat since you just got throat fucked but here! NO."
Thoughts of what to say invaded your mind. So you chose to stay silent
Didn't want to slip up and confess your feelings. Cause it sure feels like if you even open your mouth you'll have a word vomit.
Plus, arthur wouldn't want you. Surely.
He has... Or had Mary... And he told Lenny he wasn't looking for a relationship. Or at least that's what Lenny told you, but he wasn't too sure.
So instead you just tapped him.
"Hm?" He hummed.
You didn't reply, just holding your knife with a huge chunk of meat on it out to him.
"... 'Kay.. " he mumbled taking it.
You were going to leave him to eat and so you could calm down since your heart was faster than a race horse right now, but he stopped you.
"Wait..." Be said reaching out for your arm.
"Why ain't you talkin'?" He asked.
You avoided eye contact,
"I-..."
You stopped mid sentence.
"Spit it out" Arthur thought.
"Are you still mad at me?" You whispered.
He chuckled a bit.
"What? Mad? No no no. Why the hell would I be mad at 'chu" he said with a dumb smile on his face.
"Well... I.. Ever since that train robbery... And you yelled at me.... I thought you didn't wanna talk to me again.... And I didn't know if you were mad." You barely got out.
Yeah you left out some major details, but for the most part the truth was told.
He blinked a few times before speaking again.
"I weren't mad. I.. I didn't want you to get hurt. And I was just kinda frustrated... A lot of a shit went on that day... But I ain't mad" he said squeezing your arm to try and get you to focus on him.
"Yeah..." You mumbled before breaking his grip and leaving the tent.
"Get some rest..we gotta make it back to camp tomorrow" you said with your back turned to him.
.
.
You slept on the ground that night. It was uncomfortable as hell but you would rather let Arthur have the bedroll.
You woke up around 6:30. Arthur was already awake and dressed in a new outfit
"Found your stuff?" You spoke sitting up.
"Was it supposed to be hard to find?" He joked.
"No." You mumbled.
By 7:00 you left the tiny temporary camp.
"So uhm... How are you feeling?" You asked him.
"Fine. Nothin' you needa worry about"
The ride back to camp was slow, stopping a few times to eat or get some rest. But you made it back.
"Ah yes, my finest of people are back" you heard dutch exclaim.
You dismounted and gave Dutch a warm smile before making your way to your tent.
You heard Dutch and Arthur talk but couldn't make out what they were saying.
It didn't bug you though, they should have privacy.
But then again it was. You wanted to know what they were saying.
You wanted to know everything.
.
.
Arthur lied in his tent for what seemed like hours but only a few minutes had passed.
You were in his mind.
The picture his mind took of you sitting at the fire, the orange glow highlighting your features perfectly. The moonlight shining on your hair.
You were beautiful, a true piece of art.
One that couldn't be damaged.
Cause no matter what he thought you were so pretty.
He sat up, snatching his journal from the "end table" which was really a few boxes stacked on top with a cloth over it.
He studied the mental image of you and drew every little detail of you down.
From the shape of your nose, to how many lashes you have.
And when he was done, he had his most favorite drawing right in his hands.

TFP KINDA SUCKS RANT
Unfiltered opinion below ⬇️(long)
Transformers prime
Listen, you can like what you like, but tfp is not the Pinnacle of transformers media like every salty old fan of it says it is
Repetitive soundtrack
The soundtrack isn't varied, all of the music is comprised of grandiose orchestral pieces that become so goddamn repetitive it leaves you feeling empty. There's never any other emotion present in the music other than
"feel epic now pls"
I shit you not. There are scenes that are "supposed" to be funny, but it's just stale dialogue with absolutely no background music so it doesn't work at all. Any emotion conveyed with music is either epic, sad, or action and nothing else
"Haha, no moments of silly, that would kill the seriousnesz emo vibe U_U"
Terrible setting
Tfp is also much more visually unappealing due to the uncanny af models, the barren and drab backgrounds, and a convenient lack of humans to "disguise" from
not to mention how fuckin weird they look
sims 4 mfs
I'm so sick of animation elitists saying TFP's the better show because it's 3D and 3D is somehow Automatically better because it's "more advanced and sophisticated" which if you ever dipped your fingers into animation at all, you'd know how untrue that is
Feats of storytelling can be attained with either or, and the execution is dependent on the style and narrative that the show presents
TFP was trying to go for a visually darker theme, which is why they went for a realism. The only problem is that the settings are bleak and devoid of any soul
Speaking of which
Robots in disguise... From what???
Outside of team prime, there are literally no humans with speaking roles that have actual story importance
except for Silas
until there are infact- no, non-team humans of significance ever again, either because they couldn't afford the voice actors anymore, or they just chose to never bring them up again.
We don't get to actually see people, we only see the implication of human dwelling and it's lackluster.
There's never any of that conflict or tension that the show promised with the disguise plot, and It pisses me off so much because not only do a bare few of the fights happen around or inside of inhabited areas
but these robots
ARE LOUD
HOW THE HELL HAS NOBODY WALKED OUTSIDE OF THEIR HOUSE TO CHECK
A N Y T H I N G
"Honey, do you hear that loud, metallic ripping and obnoxious plasma fire?"
"Must be the neighbors shagging, Gerald. Don't be such a paranoid freak<3"
"Fair enough Cathleen, let's go back to playing spiderman 2 for the ps5"
"robots In disguise"
respectfully, Hasbro- you can eat out my entire ass with your forked tongue, ye fuckin liars✨
The Nothing Narrative
Tfp legit feels like the circle jerk of patriotism, oh my god.
Sure, it sounds far fetched but let's not forget that this show has agent fowler sucking off the American government every chance he gets
Its so audacious to show the devastation that war brought to cybertron, only to turn around and be like
"So kiddos, wanna join le special forces" at the end of it
How can you be anti war and pro US military?
The US
The leading imperialistic force in the world for the last 200+ years?
That's who you wanna prop up as a stand up figure in your "war is bad" show??
H o w
How Does That W o r k that's so fucking stupid
Wasted potential
considering wasted character opportunities that pissed everyone off, tfp weighs down the heaviest
1.Breakdown could've joined the autobots-killed off because they couldn't afford the va
2.Airachnid could've come back as a larger threat with her hoard of zombie/vampire insecticons -transported to Luna 1 and then never seen from again because they couldn't afford the va
3.cybertronian pirates were supposed to appear but didn't because they didn't use their own production bible
And that shit show sequel
(nice one hasbro, you really rodded yourself up the asshole with a ferocity for the millionth time)
Oh and that one moment that legit pissed me off
When megatron pulled that
"because I now know the true meaning of oppression, and have thus lost my taste for inflicting it"
😐
This prompts the question for me
Why would you even waste the little budget that you had creating this show with a premise that literally lies to the audience??
Its so funny that people meatride this show so hard because of animation elitist bullshit like "3D animation is better than 2D"
And yet, despite the scathing review I just gave I do not gaf if you watch this show and like it, that's literally great for you
But don't ever claim that it does narratives better than TFA/Earthspark dude, omg

✒️ hooked - snowjanus week day 1 - based on this post
✒️day one: first meet ✒️ in order to graduate, coriolanus needs to have a certain amount of community service hours on his record.. oh, brother. luckily, the ever generous plinth family is offering internships to students, giving them a glimpse of the wonderful world of business. each student is assigned a "mentor" who is supposed to show them the ropes. and lucky for coriolanus, he got the best of the bunch– the heir to the plinth throne himself. little does he know, this internship isn't as innocent as it seems.
✒️trigger warnings: none :]
✒️ a/n: i have no idea what this is. happy snowjanus week lmao. also please do read the post link on the far right, it gives some context 🙏🙏
It was a field trip, really? A fucking field trip? Could there be anything more juvenile than this? The last time they had a field trip was in Elementary school, when they took a trip to Dr. Gaul's lab– To show off all of her amazing inventions for society. All they really took away from that day was a goodie bag filled with questionable candy.
The first day of Internship Week at the Academy. Students sign up to spend the week volunteering at a local business and by the end of the week, fill out a form saying whether or not they'd like to continue their service with said business. Most of them were cutesy bakeries or small shops, owned by women who surely were old enough to be considered fossils. Fabricia's store downtown even offered a position, but none of them caught Coriolanus' attention.
Coriolanus wanted a job in the government, which came to a shock to most others. Really? I thought you'd be a writer or something.. Clemmie told him when she found out. How dull, he thought. What good will being an author do him? No. That's not the life he wants.
Snow lands on top. And he'll do everything in his power to make sure he will.
So, he's interning at Plinth Enterprise's, a company that went big in the Dark Days. Supposedly, they sold weapons.. But the money they had accumulated couldn't have just come from weapons, surely. It was a big conspiracy.
The bus ride there was uncomfortable and rickety. Only a dozen roads had been fully patched up after the war, most still fill of potholes. The ones in Downtown– Where Plinth Enterprise's resigned– were halfway patched.
At least he was alone. Only maybe five other students chose to intern at Plinth Enterprise's, Felix Ravenstill and Festus Creed being the most notable.. Well, scratch that. Felix didn't interest him. Festus was a good enough of an acquaintance to consider a friend. But not good enough to sit with.
The bus came to a screeching halt, causing Coriolanus' head to slam against the window he was leaning on. Great.
He stepped off the bus, met with the towering sight of Plinth Enterprise’s, at least 30 stories tall. Do they really need this many floors? He thought, leaning his head back to try and get a glimpse of the top. They just manufacture weapons.. Surely they should be in a factory, or at least near one. The only things to be seen were skyscrapers and other various buildings, though. No factories or warehouses in sight... The windows all had a gloomy tint to them. Were they trying to hide something? Now that would be funny.
A funny looking man came through the glass doors at the front (“what is it with rich people and glass?”), and declared himself their tour guide. He gave a name but Coriolanus could care less. It was almost like looking in a mirror with the way the guide was dressed– White dress shirt that was clearly too tight hidden by a dark blazer to try and counter it. His slacks seemed to fit him just fine, though. Coriolanus envied that. He was squeezed so tightly in these clothes it felt like his head would pop off his shoulders any moment.
The interior of the building was just as elegant as the outside of it– Lush black carpets and leather seats, a basket of fresh fruit on every table. Coriolanus’ stomach rumbled at the sight, thankfully covered by the hustle and bustle of the employees in the lobby. Everything and everyone was dressed in monochrome colors. It was almost like stepping into a new world.
Their guide led them down a hall and up two flights of stairs. I really shouldn’t have skipped breakfast, Coriolanus thought with dismay. His head was already beginning to cloud and feel airy. Stay focused.
They were led through another set of doors into a giant, pale room with staircases sprawling out on either side of a landing. It had a railing and everything. This very place is the definition of "look at me! I have money!"
The guide then went into a clearly over-rehearsed speech about what they would be doing– Acting as assistants, basically. Messenger boys. Fucking fantastic. They were to be assigned a mentor of sorts who would give them their assignments and educate them on the business when they had the time.
The doors at the top of the landing opened, and a boy in a suit came out. Now he looked like he belonged here– Buff frame with curly brown hair, stubble coating his chin and cheeks, all wrapped up in a nice black suit.
Coriolanus' stomach fluttered. Now is not the time to get a crush. And his voice? Oh, just as heavenly.
"We're all very, very glad you're here." Smooth, low, but if you listened close enough, you'd catch some grit. Like a ripple in a pond.. The boy pulled out his hand from his pocket– Gloved hand, oh fuck– And unfolded a white slip of paper. "I'll be reading off your mentoring assignments. They'll be here shortly and we can get this show on the road.."
He cleared his throat. "Mr. Creed, you'll be with Athena." He glanced up. "Mr. Ravenstill.. Woo, what an honor. You'll be with Tiberus. Mr. Pennyworth, you're with Caesar.. And.."
The brunette stared him down with a gaze that was bordering on intimacy. Coriolanus felt himself start to sweat under the collar of his much too tight dress shirt. He didn't even know this boys name, and he was already thinking things that would get him fired on the spot.
The boy wet his lips, looking up from his paper wirh a grin before gesturing a finger at Coriolanus. "And you, blondie.. You're with me."
Oh, fuck. Just what I needed.
The mentors and their interns soon split up. Christ, did he look better up close. "May I ask for your name, sir?" Coriolanus asked, trying to keep his eyes focused on the boys face at least.
"Professionally?" He took a step forward, placing his gloved hands in his pockets. "Mr. Plinth." Oh, fuck. "But.. I've never been one for professionalism.. So call me Sejanus."
"Sejanus.." A sweet name for a sweet looking boy. "I'm looking forward to our time together."
"So am I." Sejanus smiled at him.
This was going to be a long week.

I... um...
[The single best part is how they say "three" Hydra agents, implying they think Bucky is one on top of the Maximoffs. Fuck you! None of them are!]
Oh boy, that's fun. I feel like writing today. Let me start with Walker.
Never abandoned his allies.
What allies? Plural? He had one. And he was killed. (RIP Lemar, I liked the guy.)
Helped Sam and Bucky
He was arrogant, way too comfortable way too soon with two men he did not know at all, he called them "wingmen" and lied about Steve on live TV. Dude was a jerk. Also, they tried to negotiate with him and the dude went for the kill. Not very 'helpful'.
Is a family man without using time travel
Uh… he wasn't in EG.
Avenged his friend
Avenged? It's that how we're going to call a public execution? I won't argue that his mental state at the time was compromised. Fine. But you see, what matters even more than him executing a man on the street is his reaction afterwards. And he took no responsibility whatsoever. Just like Stark in CW.
Did his best by a Government that let him down.
Hey, I agree. The government sucked. And he was an obedient puppy up until it didn't benefit him. Why do you think they gave the shield to him and not some other soldier? Dude was obedient as a little boy.
Seen as a bad guy.
Yep. A bad guy with the potential of being an antihero if written well and allowed his shady morality. NOT as a Steve counterpart.
Steve's turn now.
Abandoned allies, making Sharon the Power Broker and Bucky depressed.
Every Sharon act is Steve's fault now? Way to strip Sharon of her agency! Her cynical side was interesting, at least to me. She had to flee and she survived in any way she knew how. It would have been interesting to see her go from that to helping Sam and Bucky and admitting her crimes. But we all know why she was turned into a villain (she's Saint Maggy's rival for Steve's affection! Not misogynistic at all, huh?).
Bucky's depression goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond Steve. I know a lot of people are incapable of seeing them as two different characters, but... they are. Despite how much I love them together, don't get me wrong. In a well-written story, Steve wouldn't have left and he would have joined Bucky in therapy (both needed it). Real therapy though, not the crap we saw in the series.
Lied to Tony for 2 years and chose three Hydra agents over him.
Again with this? He didn't know (for sure) it had been Bucky. But I have a question. These people claim to hate Hydra but they're super quick to put the blame on anyone except them. It's not Hydra, it's Bucky, It's not Hydra, it's Wanda. It's not Zemo, it's Steve. You sure you're against Hydra?
Is a massive hypocrite but still lectures others
Heh, love this one. No examples or anything, eh? It's hard to find them, isn't it?
Used time travel to make himself happy.
Yep, I hate EG too. But here's the thing: when everything pre-EG points at him staying and then EG makes a 180 and takes him back, that's just bad writing. Also come on, we all know they got rid of him to bring Saint Maggy to the present (they thought we'd like her… lmao)
Is worthy of a hammer created by a genocidal tyrant.
I love this one too. So, let me see if I get this straight. The OP is mad that Steve can lift Mjolnir because it's a sign of greatness and worthiness, but in the same sentence they say the hammer is a tyrant's weapon anyway and it doesn't mean anything. Make up your mind!
Seen as a hero.
No. Not seen as a hero. Seen as THE hero, thank you very much.
