AI really sucks the fun out of fandom spaces.

Most of the comic dubs I get recommended use weird AI voices instead of voice actors.

People are scared to show their art and fanfics because they don't want them to be fed to AI.

Heck, I even watched an Invincible 'theory' video that was clearly written by ChatGBT.

I miss the days where fandom drove people to be more passionate and creative, instead of people using these spaces for cheap clicks.

i feel like such a hypocrite cus like I feel like I'm defending AI while also not??? (long rant, maybe vent??)

I dislike Chat GPT with a passion, but I use c.ai because I'm scared of roleplaying w/ people (personal problem that happened, working out of it)

I HATE AI artists but like. my mum did AI art and I don't wanna talk absolute shit and make my mum feel bad

my personal stance on AI usage is that it should be used to improve, not replace. Example, helping others think and be creative rather than make the writing/art for them. To help people think but not completely take over every creative aspect and employment to where we're just lazy slop. It should help us think, not replace, does that make sense?

I don't want people to hate me or send negative comments in my asks or comments or on other platforms, this is just my opinion and I totally agree with "no AI art" movements, and if you're one with the entirely "no AI at all in any aspect" opinion, that's fine! If you decide to unfollow or block me, I'd probably be really sad but it's fine. All I'm saying is I agree, but I also just think that AI can be useful, but it's not being used in the right way.

Same thing goes for AI writers. Maybe try picking up a pencil or brainstorming for yourself instead of letting the computer do everything for your lazy ass^^

Here are just some of the early concept pieces he and I did for The Doors of Midnight before Tor got the manuscript going. I sent these and more to them.

We work hard and before a book's out and even the pubs start thinking on covers. Theme, imagery, symbolism, even color coding and theory *because I'm a fan too* especially due to certain films that have bled that through their storytelling like The Fall, and then Jet Li's, Hero.

Here were original concepts for what became The First Binding.

Anytime I think my art, writing, or video sucks, I just remember the monstrosity that is AI "art" and the people who make it, and I feel a lot better, because at least I'm putting in some effort and not letting a Machine to do it for me.

I genuinely can't understand why people can't open their eyes and realize that this is way bigger than just an art problem- LIKE DON'T WE HAVE ENOUGH MOVIES AND SCIENCE FICTION TELLING US WHY ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE IS BAD FOR EVERY LIVING BEING

It's so weird watching this happen in real time and in the span of a couple years.

It really irks me because AI is already threatening my livelihood and career and I don't even have one yet.

I'm in an entrepreneurship course at my high school- I spent weeks animating ads and drawing mockups for an Arby's mascot since we were proposing a new marketing campaign to attract teens and kids and change their brand image.

My team loved him, our teacher loved him, the adults that run our program adored him, judges from KPMG LOVED HIM, but when we finally presented our presentation, TO ARBY'S EXECS, we lost.

To a team that used GAI to mimic Steve Harvey and other celebrities for a collab meal promotion.

I would NOT have cared if we lost to anyone else, but it hurt. Everyone was shocked because we should have won.

I'm still proud at how far we made it, and there's a reason why no one eats at Arby's anyways

i love the mascot, harvey, he lives in our entrepreneurship classroom now :)

If you use AI, you are a scab. Bottom line. Voice actors and screenwriters are both striking to keep AI out of Hollywood. The amount of pro-ai bullshit you're seeing right now is 100% intentional. Don't listen to the fucking ghouls, and never cross a picket line.

They wouldn't be throwing a shit fit if our efforts weren't working.
