prompt #75
The sidekick can feel a horrible, high pitched ringing in their ears. Fire and flame lick at their skin, charred and dirty with thick smoke. They can barely manage a hoarse wheeze, before something hard presses down on their back.
“I was hoping to catch Hero,” the supervillain murmured under their breath, and the sidekick’s throat closed up under those intense eyes. “But I suppose you’ll do.”

“I have people worth fighting for. I have the agency–”
“A corrupt system.”
“Hero and Other Hero–”
“Simple attention-seekers who manipulate the public.”
“As if you don’t manipulate yourself,” Sidekick said, matter-of-factly. Supervillain groaned, rubbing their forehead.
“We went over this. You’re just refusing to listen. It’s called making deals. It’s also known as ‘business’. Manipulation is for those too weak to handle themselves. Hero, Other Hero, Superhero, everyone there’s a manipulative idiot who’s too weak to support themselves, so they rely on those even weaker.”
Glaring, Sidekick scoffed. “You have no proof of that. You don’t know them.”
“But dear,” Supervillain approached with a sad expression, though Sidekick could tell if was fake. “Have you ever thought that maybe you’re one of those weaker people?”

Playing With Their Food. Pt. 2
Imma be honest I have NO IDEA where you guys came from, but THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH I LOVE YOU ALL! Like once I randomly left and I have 11 notifications for this story specifically??? probably the most attention I've ever gotten online for my writing (or in general). ok im gonna stop blabbering and get to the story-
Summary - After Sidekick was kidnapped, they're trapped with Supervillain. But ever wonder what happened with Hero, the one that 'abandoned' them?
TW - Imprisonment, wounds, coughing blood, blood in general
── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──
It’s been days. At least, that’s what Sidekick thinks. It could’ve been months at this point. Time was always a strange concept to them. It never started, ended, or was always just… there.
Being stuck in a pearl-white cell gave them time to think. They could think about life outside of the cell, wondering if anything changed with their disappearance. They could think about their friends and family, wondering if anyone missed them. They could hope the agency cared enough to look for them. However, the question lingering in their head was whether or not Supervillain was right.
If Supervillain was right, and Hero abandoned them in the burning building.
A sudden bang on metal knocked them out of their thoughts as their head whipped around. “Prisoner #845, your meal.” A monotonous voice said, their voice barely a whisper. Sidekick strained to turn their body around, hopping off the bed. They staggered towards the door as a small hatch was opened on the other side. A pale pair of hands reached through it, holding a case. It was a smooth, small rectangle that was a light gray; probably the most colorful thing Sidekick had seen since they were kidnapped. Sidekick carefully took it as the hands and limped back to their bed, the hatch shutting with a clang.
They grunted as they sat on the bed. Their limbs felt numb. Their frigid fingers flicked the small clasp on the case, a click indicating the small box was unlocked. They opened it to reveal their day's meal: a cold sandwich with sliced chicken meat, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Sidekick stared at it, their eyes taking in the red juice dripping from the tomatoes, the green of slowly drying grass, and the beige of the sliced meat. Their pupils dilated at the sight of the color. Slowly, their hands touched the bread, its texture soft. Letting out a soft sigh, their hands wrapped around the meal and brought it to their mouth, taking a bite. It was cold, and the juice leaking from the tomato made it soggy—a person who hadn’t been kidnapped would’ve hated it—Sidekick inhaled his food, feeling like it was a meal fit for royalty.
The black camera, tucked away in a corner, turned to Sidekick, observing their every move.
── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──
“They seem to be adapting quickly,” Villain said. “And it’s only been a month. I think you’ve finally broken them.”
“Hm.” Supervillain stared at the computer screens on the wall in front of them. It was just a canvas-white room, the only inhabitant being Sidekick. “Not yet. I can still see the spark in their eyes.”
Villain rolled their eyes, scoffing. “More like them having an internal crisis. We should just get rid of them. They must be useless if Hero abandoned them.”
“Patience, darling.” Supervillain grabbed the remote on the table and zoomed in on Sidekick. “They have talent. I can feel it. They just need a reminder about what happens in society to useless freaks, and they’ll understand what they need to do.” They grinned. “Besides, they’re fun to toy with, don’t you think?”
Scoffing, Villain turned around. “Whatever. I’ll check on the other goody-two-shoes.” Villain put their hand on the keypad and the doors slid open. Their heels clanked against the metal floors as they stalked the hallways. Multiple recruits and soldiers walked past them, but they ignored every one of them. The walls were slate in color, but they all reeked of blood and iron. As they walked, the number of people around them dwindled, everyone heading towards their chambers to sleep.
Eventually, on the farthest side of the base—its metal composition meant to be impenetrable, a lack of windows to prevent a peek inside, and the edges fortified with an extra layer of reinforced steel—it was meant to keep things inside.
Villain took a key out of their pocket and opened the door, opening with a loud, eerie creak…
“I gotta say, red suits you well,” Villain said, sitting on the chair in front of Hero. Hero tried to laugh, but they fell into a coughing fit. “Careful,” they warned. “You lost a bit of blood.”
“Oh, really?” Hero tried to say sarcastically, but their voice was hoarse.
“Mhm.” Villain crossed one leg over the other. “A bit more than I anticipated, but I’m sure it won’t be that big deal. It shouldn’t be too bad.”
Villain looked at Hero with loving eyes, mesmerized by their looks. For a normal person, it wasn’t a pretty sight. But for Villain? They were in awe. Hero was sitting on a chair, their arms behind their back. Their face was practically purple with the number of bruises littered was large. Their clothes were falling apart, rips and tears caused by the torture they endured. However, the most noticeable was the blood pouring out from the untended wounds scattered around their body. “You look like a canvas with red paint splattered on you.” Hero didn’t respond. Villain chuckled. “My little masterpiece. Has a nice ring to it.”
“Oh, shut up, will you?”
Villain was glowing as they heard Hero’s annoyed response, but they couldn’t take them seriously, not with their ragged breathing. “Lovely noises,” they complimented, but Hero knew it was anything but kind.
“Freaking psycho,” they spat out but started coughing. Villain waited patiently for their coughing fit to stop. However, the more Hero coughed, they could see their clothing stained with bright, fresh red; from their chest and mouth, they couldn’t tell.
“Daw~” Villain teased, speaking over Hero’s groans. “You’re still bleeding? I didn’t think I was that harsh.”
Hero huffed as their coughing finally went to ease, licking their lips. They glared at their captor, not wanting to speak any longer than needed. Villain scoffed. “You wound me, dear.” Villain gave them a mock frown. They stood up and walked over to Hero, not missing their flinch at their sharp movements. Their hand wrapped around their chin, forcing them to look up in their eyes. “But seeing you, tied up and bloody? I gotta say, it’s making me feel things.” Villain grinned and kissed Hero’s forehead, their lips stained with their crimson blood.
“Burn in hell.”
“Cute.” Villain looked at Hero, leaning down. “It’s entertaining, you know that? Seeing your many failed attempts to be so threatening while you’re… you’re basically a breathing corpse.” Villain pushed their weight on them as they leaned on Hero, still stuck on the chair, and put their head on their shoulder, whispering in their ear. “Funny what you’d do for a friend, huh?”
“Where is Sidekick?” Hero ordered, wanting an answer. Villain huffed, their breath tickling Hero’s ear unpleasantly.
“How rude. Always about your little pet and never about me.” Hero could feel the poutiness radiating from Villain. “Seriously, you worry too much. They’re fine if that’s what you’re concerned about.”
“You kidnapped them! And me!” Hero tried to seem intimidating, but they started to cough once more. Snickering, Villain got off them and backed away. They grinned at Hero’s angry face. To them, they were like a kitten.
“I gotta say,” they said, “it’s so fun seeing you so helpless.” They walked around the chair, going behind Hero. Hero attempted to turn their neck, not trusting Villain to leave their vision. “Ah ah-” Villain’s hands grabbed the sides of Hero’s face and forced them to look in front of them. “Don’t break your neck. I’m right behind you.”
“That’s what scares me,” Hero choked out, barely able to speak properly.
“Hm.” Villain rested their chin on top of Hero’s head. Hero winced, the sudden weight making them uneasy. “You’re cute like this. Did I mention that?” Hero slightly nodded, and Villain smiled.
“Good. I just want to make sure you know.”

I'm gonna be brutally honest, I hate this one with a burning passion. I don't really like how this turned out. I'm REALLY sorry if it didn't come to your expectations, especially for the ones who asked me for a part two! forgive me (•᷄- •᷅ ;)

Fenton, the Ghost Hunter Hero
So! When Danny first saw a Ghost attacking his school, he was still terrified of his parents finding out about his Powers.
He looked exactly the same in his Ghost Form, sounded the same, he even had the Hazmat Suit his parents had custom made for him on as a Ghost. There was no way anybody wouldn't immediately find him out if he tried to stop Lunch Lady with his Powers, it was so obvious!
But he couldn't just leave her there. She had crossed through the Portal that he opened, and was attacking his friends. He needed to stop her somehow!
So he tried, he just didn't use his Powers. He stole a bunch of his parents Inventions, fixed the broken ones so they actually worked, and ran in to stop Lunch Lady as a Human. The battle lasted far longer than he would have liked, but eventually he managed to stop her and shove her into the Thermos.
And from there on out, he just kept doing it. Danny became the Town's defacto Hero, since his parents were too Incompetent and he had the ability to actually beat the Ghosts, he had to protect the people he had endangered.
Soon enough people began to notice his Heroics. Mr Lancer didn't stop him when he ran out of the classroom, Dash stopped shoving him in Lockers, and his parents were Ecstatic when they found out he had gone into the "Family Business".
He still kept his Ghost Form hidden from his parents and the Public though. It was still too dangerous.
He only ever used his Ghost Form while in the Ghost Zone so he could blend in, and avoid being attacked by the multiple Ghosts who he had forced back in there. Danny Fenton was a Ghost Hunter, Phantom was just another Ghost wandering the Ghost Zone.
(Though he did gain some infamy by defeating some powerful ghosts, like Aragon or Plasmius)
Years down the line, Fenton remained the respected Ghost Hunting Hero of Amity Park, his greatest accomplishment being the defeat of Pariah Dark, the Ghost King.
That battle had actually drawn outside attention to the town for a change, and it wasn't long before Danny was offered a spot on the Justice League's Junior Team. It wasn't every day when the evil Ruler of another Dimension was defeated by a non-powered Human, so it actually sparked some interest in the Town.
Unfortunately, Danny couldn't accept the Invitation.
If he joined the Justice League, it ws only a matter of time before one of their multitude of Magic Users realized the truth and outed him as a Ghost. He couldn't take that chance.
He was content staying as a small town Hero dealing with a "minor" Ghost Problem, no need to overcomplicate matters.
That is, until the JL contacted him again a few months later. Apparently, their Time Travelers had warned of an Evil Ghost known as Phantom, who would one day grow so powerful he would destroy the world and leave it in ruins. They needed his help as an expert Ghost Hunter to track down Phantom, for the safety of the world.
Problem. This version of Danny had never actually met Dan, since his history went so differently. Now he is terrified of what event could have led to him becoming the Worst Supervillain in History.

Just Watched
Warnings: blood, gunshot wound, character death, revival
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Sidekick screamed at Supervillain as they rushed to Villain's side. Villain had collapsed in a crumple heap after the bullet tore through their chest. "Come on, Villain, come on," Sidekick said as they ignored Villain's blood that was pooling on the ground and knelt down, feeling for a pulse.
"Sidekick, really, it's not that bad," Supervillain said as they stood looking completely unbothered by the fact that Hero had shot Villain moments ago before escaping.
"YOU JUST WATCHED THEM DIE!" Sidekick screeched as they realized Villain was pulseless. They couldn't believe it. Villain was dead. Villain was dead and Sidekick was stuck working for Supervillain.
"You're being a tad overdramatic, Sidekick. I think we should--"
"WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU?" Sidekick began to sob. Villain was dead. Villain was dead and there was nothing they could do. They brushed Villain's hair off their face, "I'm so sorry," they murmured to Villain's body.
"What are you sorry about, Sidekick?"
"Villain is dead. I am sorry they are dead. And I'm sorry they worked for someone who is so uncaring." Sidekick sniffed.
"Villain isn't dead, Sidekick, they--"
But Supervillain was cut off by Villain twitching and suddenly sitting up with a loud cough. "Oh, geez," they gasped as they spit out a bullet into their open hand. "Remind me to never do that again."
"HOW?" Sidekick shouted.
Villain flinched. "There's no need to shout, Sidekick. I'm ok."
"YOU WERE DEAD! HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD?"
Villain gave a wry smile. "I'm immortal, dummy." They looked over at Supervillain. "What'd I miss while I was out?"
Supervillain shook their head and headed to the car. "Just some minor dramatics. Come along, we have a lot of work to do."

Infidelity Reprisal Pt. 1
Warnings: Language, Cheating, Blood, Fighting, Gore, Explicitly. F-Hero, M-Villain.
2025
Hero was happy.
She was content with her sweet life.
How could she not?
She had an amazing job in which she saved people as a hero, obviously, and stopped crime altogether. And she basked in the glory of the people knowing her, the whole city knew who she was and what she did.
She had an awesome boss and good friends who supported her.
And she had an amazing family.
Her life was great, well, as great as life could be.
What she didn't expect was to fall for a criminal. Which should have been entirely impossible.
But she did.
And what's more, marry one.
Villain was one of the most vicious villains in the city, known to be the best of the best. Many other minor criminals were afraid of him and that said all about who he was.
But falling for and marrying him? That was entirely absurd, especially for the fact that she hated him at first.
Back when she was young and a new hero, saving people and stopping crime.
Hero crosses her arms, her eyes narrowed on the figure who was stood in the doorway of her apartment. "What are you doing here?" She questioned sharply, eyeing him dubiously as he would attack her at any moment.
Villain merely gave her a charming smile, bringing his hand forward from behind his back. There was a bouquet of sunflowers in his grasp, bright and sweet.
Hero falters, staring at the flowers. She didn't expect him to know what her favorite flowers were, but he did, surprisingly.
"What do you think, little hero?" Villain snorts, gently shoving the bouquet in her hands and walking past her and into her apartment as if he owned the place.
She blinks in surprise as he brushes past her, and she frowns, glancing at him. She fumbles with the door, scrambling after him. "Wha-? Hey-!" She turns to follow him, surprised at his audacity.
Villain takes a seat on her favorite brown coach, getting comfortable and looking around her apartment with a critical eye.
Hero squirms, shifting nervously as she watched him. She had enough people judging her taste and what she liked, she didn't need him to mock her or possibly insult her.
Villain paused, his gaze snapping towards her. "So?" He spoke up, eyeing her. "Do you like the flowers?"
Hero furrows her eyebrows, glancing down at the sunflowers in her hands. She narrows her gaze. "How could you possibly know that sunflowers are my favorite?"
Villain shrugs, leaning back against her coach. "I've been watching you." Is all he says.
"Like that's not creepy." Hero mumbles, making a face.
Villain grins, watching her. "I like to keep an eye on things that I...admire..." He murmurs, his gaze cat-like.
Hero swallows hard, shifting uneasily.
After that day, he kept visiting her. He kept coming back, with more sunflowers, mint chocolate which he also knew was her favorite, roses and sweet cards with words that he had written himself.
This went on for two long years, and Hero had kept it discreet unless her bosses found out and fired her for her incompetence and for the fact that the most notorious villain in the city, liked her.
And by the third year, Hero started falling for him too. It was the little things he noticed; when she got her hair noticed, why she wasn't going to watch the new release of her favorite movie series, why she hadn't gone to the book store, when she got a pair of new boots or leather jacket. He noticed.
At first, she had been skeptical and in denial of her so-called feelings for him. When she had told her parents about Villain, they had immediately scolded her for rejecting him. They were keen on his 'protection' and for the fact that he was Villain.
"Honestly," Mother had said with a shake of her head, disapproval in her gaze. "If a powerful person had tried to Court me, I would gave said yes. Just by your words I can tell that he's enamored with you!"
Hero didn't bother to listen to her. She would always come second to their priorities, the first would always be her young sister, Sister.
Time went by and eventually, Hero acknowledged the so-called feelings she had for Villain. When she and her team were fighting him, she had noticed that his lackeys would go easy on her. She was annoyed by that but said nothing.
When Villain had come to see her next time, she had spoken up.
"I'm not some weakling who needs your help!" She had snapped, glaring at him. "Your stupid minions barely hit me."
"Oh?" Villain raised his eyebrows, smirking. "You wanna be hit? That's a weird kink."
"I'm serious!" Hero slaps his shoulder, clenching her jaw with her ears a pretty pink. "I don't need you to...I don't need them to go easy on me, just because their boss-" She takes a deep breath. "Just because you..."
"What?" Villain leans closer to her, staring onto her beautiful gaze. "Just because I like you, sweetheart?"
Hero gulps nervously, trembling as she noticed the distance between them.
That night, she had her first kiss with him.
Dates happened, discreet and small. They grew into something much bigger, but Hero knew she got lost in something so entirely. A part of her said it was a had idea while the other said it was incredible.
She soon enough answered his sweet and what looked like an expensive proposal, with a yes. The wedding, it had been all her. He had allowed her to decide on everything, the flowers, decorations, cake, music, food, everything. He just wanted to marry sweet her.
And their marriage? Well, it had been such a sweet experience for her. Their marriage was of course a secret from the Hero Industry, they would no doubt call her a traitor and lock both of them up.
He was attentive, caring, kind and very needy with her. She wasn't a good cook, he taught her. She wasn't good at laundry, he had said that all minions took care of everything.
They went out every single night, or well, almost every single night. They both still had jobs they needed to do, and they made it work.
Hero would not hunt him or his people, while Villain would not hurt her or her team.
Life was good.
But Hero had gotten some horrible news, about Sister and her own husband.
Sister sobbed loudly, tears streaming down her face, sat on the coach in her parent's large house. "I-I-I-" She hiccups, "Ca-can't believe it-"
Villain was leaning against the pillar and few feet away. The only person who knew of his identity and marriage to Hero, were her parents and Hero herself. And their parents knew that telling anyone would result in getting hurt, or something possibly worst.
"He cheated on me!" Sister sobs, big fat tears streaming down her face. "On me!" She screams, trembling with heartbreak and rage.
Villain winches.
Hero watches her sister with something akin to pity but also sympathy. "Darling-"
"Don't darling me!" Sister snaps, pushing her Mother and Hero away with a wail. "That asshole is gonna get what's coming to him! Revenge will come for him."
Hero frowns deeply. "Revenge is not the answer. It's a horrible, horrible thing."
Sister scoffs, her eyes teary as she turns to her. "Oh, what would you know!" She snaps, sniffling. "Your husband is still with you, you wouldn't understand! But I will take revenge on that bastard, I don't care!" She snaps, storming away.
Hero had watched her go with sad eyes.
"She's a bit dramatic." Villain had said when they got home. "But not entirely wrong on the revenge part."
"Come on, I don't wanna have this conversation again." Hero says with a frown. "You know I don't agree with that."
"On revenge?" Villain asked, staring at her frown. "If someone cheats oj you, makes you feel like dirt, betrays you, you wouldn't want revenge? I would." He snorts.
Hero furrows her eyebrows. "I just don't agree with the notion. They'll get what's coming for them, but why would you wanna get revenge on them?"
"Because you felt like it?" Villain scoffs. "Because you felt betrayed and you want them to feel what you feel." He rolls his eyes. "You're so soft."
"Then why did you marry me?" Hero asks, crossing her arms, her gaze set on him.
Villain smirks. "Because of your many qualities, my love."
Hero rolled her eyes, a small smile ok her face.
And when she wasn't at home, she was at the Hero Industry, trying to catch villains and criminals.
"What do you mean?" Hero asks, sat in her cubicle in the main office. Her gaze was on Sidekick, who looked anxious as he shifted uneasily on his feet.
"I meant what I said." Sidekick says quietly, leaning closer to her, he hesitates. "Something is going on with the higher up's."
"Like what?" Hero asks curiously.
Sidekick paused. "...it has something to do with...Supervillain." He whispered.
Hero furrows her eyebrows in confusion. "You mean, that big crime lord from 120 years ago?"
Sidekick nodded, his eyes narrowing with contempt. "Yeah. I don't know what's going on, but they said he's back or something."
"But...wouldn't be old and about, 100 or something?" Hero asks in confusion.
Sidekick had only shrugged.
When Hero had asked Villain, he had tensed but answered nonetheless. "Their just baseless rumors, Hero. Don't listen to them. Most of the villains also think he's back but I think it's ridiculous." He scoffs. "Don't worry you're pretty, little head."
"But who is Supervillain, anyway? I mean, I've heard of him from others and kinda read about him in the Old Archives."
Villain pursues his lips in contempt. "He was a big shot criminal in the 1900s. Practically the King of Crime, he was ruthless, vicious and downright cruel to anyone who wasn't in his inner circle."
"Inner circle?"
"Yeah. He had people in his inner circle from high places, mayor's, lords, big business people, and shit like that." Villain rolls his eyes. "He had spies everywhere and anywhere. He got away with a lot of crimes."
"He sounds horrible." Hero frowns, leaning back against the sofa.
"He was." Villain scoffs. "He ruled the criminals of that time, bought them all, he practically built a whole empire. It wasn't until a few decades ago that he disappeared, something must have happened for him to just...vanish. And he hasn't been heard ever since."
Hero continues to frown, contemplating on his words.
"But people and villains alike say he's still out there." Villain says. "Which is ridiculous. But they say he's still out there, planning. That he still rules from the shadows, killing any villain that isn't worthy. They think he's searching for something."
Hero moves closer to Villain, cuddling into his arms. She sighs. "Searching for what?" She asks quietly.
Villain glances down at her. "No one know what..."
Hero felt the forbade feeling that somehow, they would all soon find out.

Sidekick's Death -- and Hero's Rage part 2
Warnings: death of Hero's sidekick, grief & denial, bleeding and grievous injuries, passing out
Hero's breathing was harsh and ragged as Villain lowered her to the ground, where she flopped limply onto her front in the dirt.
"You can't..." Hero's voice faded as she sucked in another rattling breath, injured and tired and bleeding, beaten. But that didn't stop her from scrabbling at Villain's shoes with blood-caked fingernails like a wild animal, desperately begging.
On any other day Hero would never sacrifice her dignity in such a way, would never grovel at his feet. But this was different. It was about Sidekick this time, and she'd do anything for him. She needed to see him with a gut-wrenching desperation and Villain was standing in her way and--
Hero gave up, knowing she couldn't win, and laid limply on the ground at Villain's feet, sobbing and wailing wretchedly into the dirt. She hoped he would have the mercy to kill her too. She couldn't imagine living without her sidekick, her dearest friend and ally.
She was distantly aware of the sound of vehicles approaching, and knew out of experience that it was the media and news crew rushing to get a story and be the first reporter on the scene. But she didn't care. It was over. Sidekick was gone.
Grief and devastation stabbed her right in the chest, yawning open into a giant black pit of nothingness, of hollowed-out agony that knew no bounds.
She was shivering and shaking violently, and she flinched hard when she felt a hand on her arm, forcefully dragging her up from the ground. She cried out in pain as Villain picked her up entirely with one arm around her back and another under her knees.
Hero's head lolled weakly in his arms, and she struggled to fix her blurry vision on his face. But she could have sworn Villain himself was shredding tears as he carried her off the scene and away from prying reporter's eyes, taking her to who knows where.
"How could you let Supervillain kill him," Hero rasped weakly. "How... could you..." her voice trailed off into a whisper of breath as her consciousness ebbed and faded, and she mumbled inconsolably, babbling nonsense and speaking in circles. She was in shock, badly injured and unable to fully process what had just happened, her mind reeling. She cried hard until the exact moment she passed out, tears flooding down her face like twin rivers of agony.
-------------------------------------------------------
Hero woke up in a world of pain, and it took a second to center herself.
Wait. This wasn't her home. Nor was it the medical wing back at her hero base. Where was she?!
A stinging pain in her leg made her gasp and twitch in surprise, and she looked down to find none other than Villain himself, cleaning and treating her injuries, eventually wrapping them in gauze. She wanted to kick him in the face, but was terrified to realize she could hardly move at all, her body dead weight on the couch she was resting on. Then the memories came flooding back in a nauseating wave, and Hero's breath hitched. "Sidekick--is he really--"
"Yes," Villain answered without glancing up from his work, "it was all real, Hero. Sidekick's gone. I'm sorry."
"’Sorry’ won't bring him back," Hero croaked hoarsely, and Villain visibly winced.
“I didn't know Supervillain would take it that far,” Villain whispered, half to himself. As if it justified anything!
"You work with him every day!" Hero shrilled. "How could you not know your own ally well enough to predict this?!?"
"Watch your tone," he growled warningly. But his eyes were full of genuine guilt and sorrow.
"Watch my--" Hero sputtered for words, gaping at him with eyes filled with anger and hate. "How dare you! This is all your fault, and you have the audacity to tell me to watch my tone?!"
Villain raised his hands placatingly with a weary sigh. "Sorry. Just calm down, okay? You don't want to get your heart rate up too high..."
Hero stared at him.
He stared back.
And Hero caved, sniffling quietly as she broke down all over again, anger dissolving into anguish. She turned her face to the side in a vain effort to hide it, but her sobs kept getting louder as the grief plowed into her. The realization that Sidekick was never coming back. She'd never go on another mission with him ever again.
Villain hesitantly reached out but paused, not sure how to react or comfort the weeping hero. This was definitely not part of the contract of being a villain.
Cautiously, Villain took a seat on the edge of the couch, carefully laying a hand on Hero's shoulder in some faint semblance of reassuring.
Hero didn't slap it away like Villain expected, and he took it as a good sign. It meant Hero was accepting his help, to some small degree. Or maybe she was just too lost in the grief to care.
"I'm so sorry, Hero," Villain murmured, and he meant it this time -- there was no trace of condescension in his tone like usual, no characteristic mockery or teasing.
It was a raw, vulnerable moment for both of them, a mutual understanding and shared pain that went bone-deep.
Because Villain missed Sidekick too, in some strange way. He had never known him personally -- only through fighting him on the battlefield -- but Sidekick had been such a ray of sunshine that Villain almost looked forward to fighting him sometimes. So full of witty remarks and barbed banter that could make anyone smile and laugh, even Villain himself on occasion.
But now Sidekick was gone, and left behind was... nothing. An empty void, an aching absence. A hole in both Villain and Hero's hearts that cried out with 'something important is missing here', like they couldn't comprehend it.
Villain stayed there for a long time, gently rubbing Hero's shoulders while she shook and sobbed wretchedly, the sound breaking Villain's heart to hear. So full of agony and anguish. He stayed with her long after she cried herself to sleep when she was too exhausted to stay awake anymore. Stayed and watched her hiccuping breaths slow to a more even rhythm, though tears still stained her cheeks.
Only then did Villain let himself break down as well, once he was certain Hero wouldn't see him cry. He couldn't bring himself to show her such weakness, even as he grieved. He felt so utterly human right now it tore his heart and soul apart. He was used to dissociating from reality to get things done as a notorious villain used to hurting people on a daily basis, but he'd never felt so present, so here, than right now.
Tears were still falling when Villain felt his phone buzz in his pocket and pulled it out, the screen lighting up to show a new text by Supervillain.
Where are you? You should have been here by now.
Villain gritted his teeth so hard it hurt, and angrily stuffed his phone back in his pocket without answering. Supervillain didn't know this particular hideout's location, so he couldn't teleport into it to check in.
But Villain had no intention of meeting back up with him tonight. Or ever again, after witnessing Supervillain's brutality firsthand.
Supervillain was dead to him.
(*not planning on continuing this particular storyline*)

Hey! Hope your having a good day! If you want to, could you do a story where a supervillain typically goes easy on a group of rookie heroes, as he usually fights them just for fun, and could destroy them if he wanted.
He just lets them think they can beat him.
Then, something happens (maybe they cross a line, and one of the heroes tries to stop their team from crossing that line but they don't listen) where the supervillain shows them just how powerful he actually is?:
Thanks for reading!! Sorry it you don’t do requests!
Hey! I'm soo sorry I thought I posted this but I ended up finding it in my drafts, forgotten about. I don't know how It happened. I'm not sure if I should post this but here is it anyway. Sorry again
Warnings: Destruction, injuries, threats
The rookie heroes stood in a loose circle, their breathing heavy, their costumes scuffed and torn. In the center of the room, the supervillain lounged on a makeshift throne of rubble, his legs crossed, his chin resting on one hand. He looked bored.
“Is that all you’ve got?” he drawled, flicking a piece of debris off his sleeve. “I expected more from the city’s finest.”
The leader of the group, a fiery young hero named Blaze, stepped forward, her fists crackling with energy. “We’re not done yet,” she snapped. “You’re going down.”
The villain raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. “Oh, I’m shaking.”
The team lunged at him, their movements clumsy but determined. Blaze sent a wave of fire in his direction, while another hero, Vortex, tried to trap him in a whirlwind. The villain dodged effortlessly, his movements almost lazy, as if he were playing a game. He countered with a flick of his wrist, sending Blaze stumbling back with a gust of wind.
“Careful,” he said, his tone mocking. “You might hurt yourself.”
The youngest of the group, a wide-eyed hero named Alice, hung back, her hands glowing faintly. She watched the fight with growing unease. Something about the villain’s demeanor—the way he seemed to be holding back, the way he almost smiled when they attacked—made her stomach twist.
“Guys,” she called out, her voice trembling. “I don’t think this is a good idea. We should—”
“Stay out of it, Alice!” Blaze barked, sending another blast of fire at the villain. “We’ve got this.”
The villain sidestepped the attack, his smirk widening. “Do you, though?”
Alice’s unease grew. She could feel the tension in the air, the way the villain’s energy seemed to shift, like a storm gathering on the horizon. “Blaze, please,” she tried again. “He’s not even trying. We’re pushing him too far.”
But Blaze wasn’t listening. None of them were. They were too caught up in the thrill of the fight, too convinced of their own strength. And then it happened.
Vortex, in a reckless move, aimed a powerful blast of wind at the villain, sending a chunk of the ceiling crashing down toward a group of civilians who had been hiding in the corner. Alice’s eyes widened in horror. “No!” she screamed, diving to shield them, but she knew she wouldn’t be fast enough.
The villain’s expression changed in an instant. His smirk vanished, replaced by a cold, hard glare. With a flick of his hand, he froze the debris midair, his power crackling like lightning. The room fell silent.
“That,” he said, his voice low and dangerous, “was a mistake.”
The air around him seemed to darken, his energy surging as he rose to his feet. The rookie heroes stumbled back, their bravado crumbling under the weight of his presence. Even Blaze looked shaken.
“I’ve been playing nice,” the villain said, his voice like ice. “But you’ve crossed a line.”
He raised his hand, and the debris shot back toward Vortex, pinning him to the wall. Blaze tried to attack, but the villain caught her wrist, his grip like iron. “You think you’re heroes?” he snarled. “You’re children playing dress-up.”
Alice stepped forward, her hands raised in surrender. “Please,” she said, her voice trembling. “We’re sorry. We didn’t mean—”
“You didn’t think,” the villain interrupted, his gaze piercing. “And that’s the problem.”
He released Blaze, sending her stumbling back. “Consider this a lesson,” he said, his voice cold. “Next time, think twice before you bite off more than you can chew.”
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving the rookie heroes shaken and humbled. Nova watched him go, her heart pounding. She had always known the villain was powerful, but seeing it up close—seeing the raw, terrifying force he had been holding back—was something else entirely.
As the dust settled, she turned to her team. “We need to be better,” she said quietly. “Or next time, he might not let us walk away.”

Hello, I hope you have a nice day.
I see a lot of villain x hero, sidekick x henchman…. But what about ✨supervillain x superhero✨? Two nemesis who knew each others for years and both rose up to the highest ranks on the opposite sides of morality. They both have a presence that scares the other side.
Maybe they don’t see each other often but when they do during solo missions it feels like a warm reunion.
It would be sweet to maybe have them dance on a building in the moonlight while talking about their new apprentice. (Maybe said Sidekick/henchman/both would look at them from the darkness?).
Or it can be somewhere else or another topic of discussion, I just wonder what this ship would look like.
I think I ranted enough (my apologies), if it doesn’t strike your fancy it’s also okay :)
I really like this prompt! This was such a much needed push for me as a writer and it definitely had me out of my comfort-zone (in a good way) tysm!
I'm also combining this with a request from @celestial-cosmica for the song Sofia by Clairo!
Music Series: Sofia -Clairo
Superhero and Supervillain laid side by side on the rooftop, their feet dangling off the edge as they looked up at the stars.
"Kids these days, huh?" Superhero said softly.
Supervillain chuckled quietly, "Yeah. They're gonna go far."
Superhero nodded even though the other probably couldn't see it. "Who knew we'd end up here... I mean, I still remember when we were kids in the academy before... everything..."
"Yeah." Supervillain sighed.
"What if..."
Supervillain turned their head to look at Superhero as they hesitated, "What?"
"Nevermind, it's stupid."
"No, tell me."
Superhero smiled, "Trying to pry out all my secrets now? I thought we gave up on the secret spying missions after the last time I caught you."
Supervillain laughed, "No, I just want you to be honest with me. Don't you think we've been through too much together to hide?"
Superhero hummed, "Isn't that a problem?"
Supervillain sat up and looked at them, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"We're enemies, or at least supposed to be. Don't you think this is wrong?"
"I think you're overthinking."
"No, I'm not Supervillain, we have our own empires, we have people under us, responsibilities, I mean, countless lives are in our hands, don't you think–"
Supervillain shut them up with a kiss and only pulled back once they were both breathless and panting, "You say that calling you mine is a crime. Well, baby, I'm a criminal."
"I think I'm in love with you." Superhero mumbled before pulling Supervillain back in for another kiss.
Superhero's sidekick and Supervillain's henchmen stood on the ground at the bottom of the building, watching their mentors from below.
"Well, this is awkward." Henchmen pointed out.
"I know. They stole our spot."

prompt #85
“You’re gonna have to learn how to breathe, kid,” the supervillain grumbled dryly, hand pressed against the hyperventilating sidekick’s back. They ducked their head, tears rolling down their cheeks as they clawed at their chest, attempting to get themselves under control.
The supervillain nonchalantly patted their back, somehow finding it within them not to roll their eyes. It wouldn’t be fun to torment their nemesis’s sidekick when they were in this state. That would just be in bad taste.

Golden Apprentice
We’re going to pretend I posted this yesterday, okay? And I know it’s terrible I’m sorry. I couldn’t think of a better title.
Cw: violence, restraints, manhandling, threats
A fist wound in the front of Sidekick’s uniform, slamming them back against the alleyway wall with enough force to knock the air from their lungs. Uneven edges of bricks clawed at their back, latching onto the fabric of their jacket like thorns.
Sidekick gasped, but they didn’t have a moment to draw in a breath before a fist struck their jaw, snapping their head to the side. Fire exploded along their face, radiating along their mouth and jolting up their cheek, painful enough to make their eyes water.
They brought their knee up in a barely formed defense, feeling like they were fighting a force a hundred times stronger than gravity. They met nothing but air.
The hand bunched in their uniform ripped them away from the wall before their leg could find purchase, throwing them against the ground. Gravel scraped their chin as Sidekick scrambled to catch themself, sparks of pain igniting across their palms as the rough ground embedded in their palms. Words caught in their throat, half-formed and trapped as they choked out only a strained wheeze in protest. They had barely gotten their hands beneath them, bracing to stumble to their feet when a strong pressure on their back shoved them back to the ground.
“So this is Hero’s golden apprentice? The agency’s shiny new star?” A crude voice laughed, as rough as the pavement beneath them as the pressure on Sidekick’s back increased. Their assailant leaned forwards, shifting more weight to the boot planted just below Sidekick’s shoulder blades, and scoffed, their voice dripping with mockery and amusement. “The best and brightest? The promising new rookie?”
“Ff- ‘uck,” Sidekick grit through clenched teeth, blinking hard against the crackling pain that sparked through their skull. One arm was trapped beneath them, pinned awkwardly under their body and strained with the suppressing weight. With the other they made a grab for the sheath strapped to their hip, arm barely managing to move before their attacker’s other foot drew forwards, settling heavily to block their attempt.
The pressure on their back released, but Sidekick didn’t have a moment to act before a heavy weight by dropped on their lower back, knee digging hard into their spine. A hand grabbed onto the back collar of their uniform, dragging their torso up as so their assailant could grab their trapped arm. Nails bit into Sidekick’s wrist as their arm was twisted behind them, drawing a sharp hiss as they felt the muscles in their shoulder strain.
The hand released their jacket, moving to wrench their other arm back. Cold metal pressed against the back of their wrist, snapping painfully secure before the metal snared their other arm, securing their wrists crossed behind their back with a sharp tug.
“Shh’t- stop,” Sidekick spat, pink tinted saliva dripping from the corner of their mouth. In response, their attacker only forced the cuffs tighter, leaving Sidekick to wince as the metal bit into their wrists.
“You’d really gotten my hopes up, I hate to admit. Usually I’m better planned,” they sighed, exaggerated disappointment lacing their tone. “After I saw your fight with OtherVillain on the news, I just couldn’t wait to meet you. It just seemed so promising.”
Sidekick squirmed, staggering an inhale as they tried to fight the fog clouding their thoughts from the various hits. They were better than this, they had never lost a fight like they just had. They always fought smart, training with the academy or sparring with Hero, and when they lost, however rare, it was always a strong loss.
This could barely be considered a fight, rather a straight assault. Sidekick was tired, a rough scuff with Henchman had left them dappled with bruises and scrapes, worn muscles that protested with every move. It had been a long fight, and despite Sidekick’s eventual triumph, they were tired and aching. All they had been trying to do was return to Hero’s home, to take a hot shower and wash away the dirt that smudged their skin before settling for a long sleep in their own bed. The thought had snared their mind the moment they watched Henchman be loaded into the back of an agency transport van. It was evening, the last scarlet streaks of sunset were disappearing over the crests of the tall buildings, but the city was still settling into night, and they hadn’t wanted to deal with the publicity on the streets. So they took a back route, cut through a few neighborhoods down alleys and cracked sidewalks. They had let their guard down, stupidly allowed themself to delve into the daydream of a warm bowl of soup and ibuprofen, listening to Hero’s voice hum through their communicator.
They had been attacked from behind, their legs kicked out from beneath them. It had all happened so fast, their hasty flail of defense barely holding a few seconds before they were overpowered. The ear piece was ripped from their ear, crushed at some point during the short skirmish.
The pressure lifted off of them for a moment, rough hands twisting them onto their back before a knee planted hard against their abdomen.
Cold eyes stared down at them, the faint streetlights reflecting against their glare with gleaming, predatory flickers.
Sidekick had known it was a villain even without seeing their assailant’s face. No civilian would be foolish enough to try to attack anyone wearing an agency uniform, especially not one who had been featured across the media in recent weeks as a promising new hero.
Now, with that piercing gaze striking them like a knife, their stomach twisted. They were sure Supervillain could feel the drop of their heart, their lips curling into a smirk as Sidekick’s eyes locked wide.
“I wonder what the Agency would do to get you back. What Hero would do,” Supervillain mused out loud. “Their treasured little trainee. I’ve seen all of the interviews, the way they talk about you. They’re always so proud, they adore you.”
Sidekick’s chest tightened as Supervillain spoke, feeling the sparks of fear creep into their throat, burning away any words into ask.
“I don’t know how much Hero’s told you about me, but I have to assume it hasn’t been much. You see, Hero and I go way back,” Supervillain brought a hand up, letting their fingers draw over the red blotch swelling on Sidekick’s jaw, the beginnings of a nasty bruise. “There’s been a few favors I’ve needed them to do for me, but they’ve never had any incentive,”
Sidekick winced as Supervillain grabbed their chin, a wisp of touch turning into a throbbing grasp in a moment.
“You, however,” Supervillain’s lips curled back, expression caught somewhere between a grin and a snarl. “You will change all of that.”
Supervillain released their jaw, shifting off of them and grabbing Sidekick by the collar of their jacket, hauling them up as they stood. Supervillain’s grip quickly moved to the back of their neck, fingertips digging into Sidekick’s skin.
“I really hope you aren’t this boring all of the time. That would make things much less fun for me and much more painful for you.”

Forced Family- Part 6
Part 5
Hero collapsed on the hotel bed. They had been up for over eighteen hours. No matter what they tried, they hadn’t been able to sleep on the flight. They weren’t sure if that was because of the altitude or their own worry, but it didn’t matter now. Hero quickly drifted off before they could think about showering or changing into sleepwear.
Hero was back on the rooftop with Villain. Villain was holding them close, their familiar warmth enveloping them.
“Why don’t you love me anymore, Hero?” Villain asked sadly, stroking Hero’s hair.
Hero froze in place, Villain’s touch no longer comforting, but suffocating. They tried to push Villain away, but they held them fast.
“Let me go!” Hero cried, but their voice barely rose above a whisper.
The rooftop erupted in flames, engulfing the pair.
“Come back with me,” Villain said, their voice echoing over the blaze, “I love you, hero.”
The fire was just about to consume them when Hero bolted upright in bed with a shout. They panted, cold sweat making their clothes cling to them. They looked around the room and breathed a sigh of relief. No one was here, it was just a nightmare. Just a nightmare. Hero got up to get a drink of water. They didn’t want to go back to sleep straight away. Out of the corner of their eye, they saw a shadow move. Hero froze.
Hero quietly formed two ice shards, approaching the spot where the shadow moved. They were just about to pull back the curtain when a weight barreled into them, pinning them to the floor.
“I got them!” Sidekick whisper-shouted.
Hero knew it wasn’t very heroic, but they opened their mouth to scream. Hopefully someone would hear them and- too late. Sidekick stuffed a cloth in their mouth at rapid speed and before they knew it, the gag had been secured with several layers of industrial tape wrapped around their head.
“MMM!” Hero tried.
Hero shot beams of ice upward, launching Sidekick off of them. They bolted to the door, but Villain blocked their exit.
“Hero, calm down!” Villain whisper-hissed.
Hero stared with wide, fearful eyes. They shot another beam of ice, which Villain easily melted with a shield of fire. Hero glanced at the window. It was their only chance. They made a beeline for it, but Supervillain appeared in the fire escape.
“Hero, stop,” they said sternly.
Hero glanced wildly around the room as the criminal family closed in around them. They shot a blast of ice in a wide arc, but Villain melted it with a counter-attack. Hero began to hyperventilate. Not again, they couldn’t go back, they couldn’t. They were cornered, they didn’t know what to do.
A sharp pinch in their neck told them they had lost. Hero screamed into the gag, falling to the floor on their knees. They sobbed and cried, holding their hands over their eyes. Villain approached them slowly, crouching down next to them.
“Hero,” they said quietly, “it’s okay- it’s all going to be okay.”
Hero shook their head as their mind and body started to slow down.
“Mm…” they sniffled.
Hero collapsed on the floor, unable to remain kneeling. Villain caught them and held them close.
“Shh,” they soothed, “we’re going home. Just sleep, we’ll take care of everything.”
Against their attempts to fight it, Hero quickly drifted off in Villain’s arms. Supervillain lifted Hero’s suitcase and led the family out of the hotel room. They’d be home soon.
