That One Time PCW Did Their Own Oscars-like Thing-PCW Rewind: 2012's Michigan Madness

Tonight’s PCW rewind goes back almost seven years ago to a time where the PCW Competition Committee in their infinite wisdom decided to do an ‘Oscars’ type show at Michigan Madness.

John Boehner (R) and Harry Reid (D) voted on the nominees for the first (and only) annual PCW Political Academy Awards and the results were…well…predictable.

Paige McGillicutty: On Tuesday night, it was Michigan Madness live from Lansing, Michigan as the PCW Roadshow Across America continued.  Coming off a wild PCW Politics is War on P-SPAN where it appeared that ‘The Massachusetts Redblood’ Mitt Romney entered into some sort of alliance with Ron Paul and ended with A. Tom Bomb (R)…representing Rick Santorum (R-PA)…Atomic Powerbombing The Japanese Superdestroyer’ Yamamoto Tanaka (R)-affiliated with Romney.

VIDEO: Politics is War Show’s End

In an amazing show of strength, A-Bomb lifts the 350 pound Tanaka into the air and then slams him hard to the mat.

Paige McGillicutty: Tonight’s main event of Magnum P.O.’d (R)…representing Newt Gingrich (R-GA), A-Bomb…Santorum), Tanaka…Romney, and Texas Jack (R)…Ron Paul (R-TX)…brought a sense of urgency as the process to determine Barack Obama’s challenger in November for the PCW CEO job goes on. But first, the annual PCW Political Academy Awards hosted by the ‘Voice of PCW’ Johnny Suave.

Valora then takes the Krylon bronze spray painted statuette and breaks it in two over Big Labor’s head.  Then she makes a fist surrounded the head of the statue and cold cocks Texas Jack.

Paige McGillicutty: Does anyone think the PCW Television Champion ‘The One Man Hollywood A-List’ Stone Chism (D) is quaking in his boots yet?

KRC and Smith walk to the podium- from opposite sides.  This time, they don’t even get a chance to fight over the acceptance speech.  Valora hits the stage again with a steel bar and whacks both winners with it.  She busts the freshly painted Krylon spray painted bronze statuette over Sarah Mae Smith’s head and then brains KRC with the steel bar.

Paige McGillicutty: Well, that’s two for two.

As they clean up the stage after Valora’s second attack, the first of two featurettes plays featuring Democrats doing the political ritual of self-congratulations and patting themselves on the back for being wonderful…

Suave sighs.

Johnny Suave: It’s a tie. ‘The Self Described Savior of the Middle Class’ Big Labor (D) AND Daniel-San (R)

The music plays and both Big Labor and the PCW Champion walk to the podium from opposite sides.  They also both keep looking around waiting for Valora Salinas to jump out and attack.

Daniel-San tells Big Labor since he’s the PCW Champion that he’ll speak last.

Big Labor tells him that he didn’t agree to that and there’d have to be some sort of negotiation.

They get into a heated argument and don’t see Valora rappelling down above them.  She cuts the rope and lands on Daniel-San’s head.  Big Labor swings at her but Valora ducks and delivers a brass knuckled low blow to the Self Described Savior of the Middle Class and he crumples to the ground.

PCW Security stream out and Valora jumps out of the ring and into the crowd to make her escape.

Paige McGillicutty: Valora’s back and there’s going to be some trouble…hey-la…hey-laaaaa, Valora’s back! Okay, to the main event…

MAIN EVENT: Magnum P.O.’d (R)- Newt Gingrich (R-GA) A. Tom Bomb (R)- Rick Santorum (R-PA) Texas Jack (R)- Ron Paul (R-TX) Yamamoto Tanaka (R)- ‘The Massachusetts Redblood’ Mitt Romney (R-MA)

…Texas Jack and Magnum both eliminated already.  Tanaka works over A-Bomb’s arm.  A-Bomb fight backs with his good arm.  Tanaka with a back drop.  But A-Bomb turns and snaps Tanaka’s neck over the top rope.

The crowd is stunned when ‘The Self-Described Savior of the Middle Class’ Big Labor runs to the ring and nails A-Bomb in mid-air with a Scabbuster.  Then he hits Tanaka with a Picket Line and then a Scabbuster.  He rolls A-Bomb onto Tanaka but then the PCW Champion Daniel-San (R) and the Republican Establishment hit the ring.   Daniel-San nails the second-rope DDT on Big Labor and roll A-Bomb off Tanaka.

Daisy Cutter-Bomb hits the ring and tries for the Daisy Cutter Powerbomb but Daniel-San slaps on the LeBell Lock.  Corporate Might’s Big Oil rolls Tanaka onto A-Bomb and the referee slams his hand on the mat three times to give Tanaka the win.

WINNER: Yamamoto Tanaka @ 12:46

‘The Massachusetts Redblood’ Mitt Romney hops into the ring to celebrate with the Republican Establishment as the show ends.

A package of Skank Mitchell’s Awesomely Awesome Beef Jerky is superimposed in the middle of a golf course fairway on a perfect summer afternoon.

Announcer: Skank Mitchell’s Awesomely Awesome Beef Jerky presents *BLEEP*-ing with McGill.

A heavy set man prepares to hit his approach shot to the green while his friend waits for him inside a golf cart.

Heavy Set Man: Five feet from the hole, right here.

He begins his backswing and sees a bunny hopping along and PCW Owner Dawn McGill running along the edge of the woods off the fairway. He stops his swing and turns to gawk at Dawn. The man in the golf cart gets out as well. He’s munching on a piece of beef jerky.

Dawn stops to rest for a second.

Both look at each other. The man hands the bag of beef jerky to the heavy set gentleman and goes back to the golf cart. He pulls a beer out of the cooler and then begins to vigorously shake it up.

Dawn McGill: Okay. Newsflash. I can see what you’re doing.

The man approaches Dawn slowly.

Driver of Golf Cart: Hey big fella.

Dawn glares back at him.

Dawn McGill (annoyed): Big fella?

Driver of Golf Cart: Do you want a cold one?

Dawn McGIll: Okay. Again, I know what you did to the can of beer. (she sighs) Fine.

Dawn snatches the beer can out of his hand.

Driver of Golf Cart: Okay…you can do it.

She shoots him a ‘look.’ Dawn rolls her eyes and opens the can causing the beer to spray out all over her.

The two men bust out laughing and jump right back into their golf cart.

Her face and hair soaked with beer, Dawn whips out a taser and fires it at the driver just as he hits the accelerator.

Driver of Golf Cart: ARRRGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGH!

The cart veers sharply into a tree and tips over.

Final scene: a package of Skank Mitchell’s Awesomely Awesome Beef Jerky superimposed over the turned over golf cart and the convulsing driver.

Era: Rebellion Era, pre-Rebels, Canon Divergence

Characters: Ahsoka Tano, Barriss Offee

Summary:   A hurt Ahsoka was rescued by someone from her past and has a lot of questions...

Under the cut:

Shattered and Reckless

Ahsoka had found herself in very tight situations in her time as a Padawan, and after that during her years as a loose cannon in a galaxy in war and then as a member of a fledging rebellion… None of those situations had been as uncomfortable as this one: a tiny shuttle designed to inspect the hull of a Superdestroyer during repair and with only one other passenger; the friend that had once betrayed their family, killed Jedi, framed her and then tried to kill her Master. No, not even that time with the Hutt Lord propositioning Skyguy had been more awkward, even if Master Kenobi and she had had difficulties stopping her Master from crushing the Hutt like an insect.

This sort of ship wasn’t supposed to be equipped with an hyperdrive but Barriss had seemed sure of herself when she had pushed a hurt Ahsoka, bleeding, limping, onto that shuttle. A stray blaster bolt had graced her montrals a few seconds before they sealed the door, catching her off guard, and she had lost a few minutes of time, as always when her echolocation organs were hurt. She remembered explosions: did Barriss sabotage something before rescuing her? Their escape shouldn’t have been so easy. She remembered being sick, violently, and perhaps she had passed out for a few minutes. If her montrals gave her an edge in a fight, they were a terrible weakness when hurt enough to blur her senses.

And now, here they were. Kneeling in lotus on each side of the little ship, cataloguing all the ways the other had changed. Barriss wore a deep black, some loose robes that didn’t mark her species like she had worn before, only contrasted by the harness on her hip in a light red, and the grey headdress. Her face still bore the same tattoos as in their youth, half an eternity ago, but she also had an artificial eye - an overpriced one because it mimicked the real thing so well Ahsoka hadn’t noted it at first.

The Force wasn’t dark around Barriss, something that Ahsoka tried to take as a good sign, but it wasn’t exactly light either, more a muddy grey. The Togruta had refused the help of the other woman to dress her two wounds, and had carefully checked the seal on every medical product she had used from the little emergency box.

“Where is the ship going?” Ahsoka finally asked. She had so many more questions, enough that Barriss, if she wanted to answer them, could probably talk enough for the ship to go all the way to Wild space, but right now, it was the more urgent.

The Rebellion needed to have Fulcrum back and the information she had stolen. And when operatives, even very successful ones like her, disappeared for too long, their information was always suspect. She needed to make contact, and fast, before the last safe house was burned down by her fellow officers as a safety measure. Who was supposed to act as her contact this rotation? Yes, lieutenant Andor. Smart, capable, cool under pressure. He would probably wait longer than protocols dictated.  

“Vaynai,” Barriss answered and Ahsoka scrambled her mind to remember. That one, she had never set foot on, and she had visited a lot of worlds.

“Onto the Perlemian Trade Route?”

“Yes. Corrupt elite, booming tourist industry and seaweed offering euphoric delirium, probably the reason for said booming tourist industry. And the usual corollary for all of that: a vigorous criminal life,” smirked Barriss and the expression felt so alien on her face that the other woman winced. Barriss would never have smirked that way before, full of dark satisfaction and contempt, but then Barriss also wouldn’t have murdered, in young Ahsoka’s opinion, and she had.

“The perfect place for us to disappear,” continued the other.

“I can’t go so far. Thank you for the save, but if you could drop me on the first planet, I will find transport. I need to go back the other way. Quickly,” Ahsoka interrupted.

Barriss sent her a curious gaze.

“I suppose if I ask what is so urgent that you need to go back straight to regions more carefully controlled by the Empire, just after I helped you escape them, you won’t answer?”

Ahsoka grimaced and Barriss smiled, and for a second, she seemed so young…
