Secret Hearts [Chapter 7/?]

After losing Queen Consolidated, Oliver falls into a role as a long-lost half-brother on the cheesy soap opera that films in Starling City. It was supposed to be a one-off appearance but everyone loved it…and his chemistry with the show’s bad-girl Margo Hatton, played by bundle of sunshine Kara Gardner. Can a superhero be a TV star? Is the chemistry between him and Kara just onscreen? And who is the new hero working in the shadows and beating the Arrow to the busts?

“Okay…?” Oliver said slowly. Nick had been a good mentor on the show. “What’s going on?”

“I can’t tell you that.” Nick said with a shake of his head. “But I can tell you, ‘it’s just make-up.’”

Oliver blinked at him. “Yeah, I know you don’t usually wear that much eyeliner, Nick.”

“Haha.” Nick replied, shaking his head. “Just remember what I said, Oliver. It’s just make-up.”

“Okaaay.” Oliver said, drawing out the word and contemplating the warning. “Thanks, Bro.”

What’s your opinion on Superarrow (Oliver x Kara)

That's a good question.

Theoretically, I'd say they have potential but given the way Kara treats Oliver and the opinion she seems to have of him I think it would probably not work. He'd once again be with a woman who wouldn't be able to accept him for who he is. Their world views and approaches are way too different. I don't think they'd work in the long run.

Kara just like most doesn't see Oliver as a broken man (I don't mean that in a negative way) and because of that doesn't understand that he is the product of all the tragedies and anguish and torture (both physical and emotional) he experienced, and judges him for his, to her incomprehensible, actions and behavior. I think she would struggle too much with his issues when it comes to sharing his feelings and his past. 

And I feel like Oliver would put her on a pedestal like he did Felicity and constantly feel he wasn't good enough for her and didn't deserve her. And that wouldn't be healthy for either. 

Kara needs to be loved by everyone, she can't handle it when strangers feel negatively about her, she puts so much value on the opinion of others that she probably wouldn't be able to handle Oliver on one of his bad days, she'd take his mood and behavior personally and would stress over it and feel like she did something wrong.

I think they are way too different to work in a relationship. I could see them as good friends though. You know once they actually, really got to know each other.

But that is just my humble opinion and how I’d see them.

Night Visit

An unusual noise disrupted the calm of the night. Oliver sat up carefully, his eyes wide open in the semi-darkness of his cell. Muffled voices. People walking down the corridors. This was strange, the guards patrolled alone at night, and if prisoners had somehow escaped their cells, they wouldn’t be chatting away but would try to be discrete. Intrigued and on guard, he sat on the edge of his bed, the cold concrete under his naked feet chasing away the last remnants of sleep.

Two figures recognizable at a glance appeared in his field of view through the bars and his jaw almost dropped in surprise. He had to resist the urge to pinch his arm in order to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. No way. These two idiots didn’t just break into the most secure jail of the country to help him escape.

“We should have gone by the control room to find out which cell he’s in.”

“No need, we’ll find him easily, super vision, remember?”

“If I used my speed, we would find him even faster.”

Oliver rolled his eyes and moved to the bars with muffled steps. They didn’t even have a well-established plan for their attempt to free him. These two were incorrigible.

“We’ve talked about it, you’re likely to wake everybody up by entering their cells and raising their sheets to see their faces.”

“Not to mention that some sights might scar you for life,” Oliver said.

Barry pulled a face in disgust before reacting and running up to his cell while Kara smiled from ear to ear as she came up at normal speed, carrying two boxes in her arms. The two superheroes seemed out of place with their colourful suits in this grey setting. They shouldn’t be here.

“You should leave,” Oliver said. “I can’t escape and become a fugitive, my family…”

“Yeah, yeah, we know, Dig explained everything,” Barry interrupted. “Is that how you greet your friends? Also, can we talk about the beard?”

Okay but now I'm thinking about Clark and Oliver ship names. Also trying to keep my mind from going the way of Clark seducing Lex to the side of good and then just doing that with villains.

Whatever just rolling all these headcanons into my own now. Cause Lex being included is funny.

I wonder if anyone has ever written a fic where like Bruce has to go up against another billionaire for Clark's attention? Like Oliver? Bruce wouldn't even have the 'they're both heroes' thing to bond over and one up the competition with.

Sightings of Superman with the Green Arrow rise just when everyone starts to accept Supes as like another part of Gotham's batfamily. Oh man online discourse between Gotham and Star City (Is it Star City? I feel like I might be mixing up something).

I'm just imagining poor Clark out with Lois and Jimmy at some event, working, but stuck between Bruce and Oliver. And I don't even know like throw in secret identities for funzies? Even though that kind of ruins the Superman/Batman/Green Arrow shenanigans but like - if there's a secret identity reveal?

I just want mild-mannered Clark being swept off his feet dang it.

Just One Yesterday [Chapter 4/?]

Amanda Waller made a mistake when she rescued Oliver Queen from Lian Yu and brought him to Cadmus. She wanted someone she could use to get information from the aliens that had fallen to Earth inside the prison ship. A miscalculation that they would attack any human led to Oliver being taken in by the Kryptonians on Fort Rozz. To correct her mistake she did something deplorable, and now years later, the consequences are coming home to roost.

Oliver is oblivious until the meeting where Ray Palmer tried to take his company, and none other than Lor-Zod walked in, claiming to be representing Starrware Industries, and telling him that people he thought dead are still alive, the most important one calling herself Kara Starr.

Excerpt:

“All of this sounds fantastical.” Felicity said, sitting in her chair, as if she could dismiss them all with the movement, or maybe just to draw strength from her computers, where she had always been queen of the system. “But you’re talking about clones, and according to Oli ver ,  one of you have already died and he saw it. How can we know what you’re saying is true? How do we know that you’re not clones?”

Ursa smiled, a smile that Oliver always thought would befit a she-bear. “I’ve brought security footage of the last day, and Oli-Var’s funeral. I thought we might need it during this meeting.”
