I'm back on the road. Apparently, I was missing in Tumblr, but I've had some reasons why I was inactive in the website until I came back, like... Mostly busy with other stuff and other artworks I wanted to finish, as well as with issues I have gained like, when my own Dell Optiplex ran into issues and had to be formatted as a result. Later, I've got a new PC tower case, but my father will actually try to focus on repairing the old one, as I can't risk of losing the old one which I've liked.

But as I'm enough with the talk, I've finished working on my own art of an EG6 Civic, but instead, as a Super Taikyu racer from the 90s, carrying the Portuguese sponsors and especially using the Galp colors, combined with the Advan livery. I also gave it the Advan GT rims for it.

The last weekend of SRO Motorsports America racing in 2024 receives a huge boost in star power as world-renowned actor Keanu Reeves will compete in this weekend’s Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America finale – his first motor race in over 14 years.

Reeves will drive the #92 Eagles Canyon Racing by Fast Track Toyota GR86 in a pair of sprint races on Saturday and Sunday, 5/6 October. The car will feature a red and black livery promoting his graphic novel, BRZRKR.

The Canadian actor is an avid enthusiast of motorsport. Reeves was the presenter of the four-part documentary Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story and has been a guest of honour in the paddocks of F1, MotoGP, and IndyCar throughout the years.

Reeves drove in the 2009 and 2010 editions of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race at Long Beach, winning the Celebrity class in 2009 and receiving a promotion to the Pro category the following year. That was the last time Reeves has run in an organised motor race.

Since then, Reeves has gone on to star in the John Wick series of action films, reprised his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrections, and published the first chapter of BRZRKR in 2021 alongside co-writer Matt Kindt and illustrator Ron Garney.

Reeves is one of two celebrity drivers competing at Indianapolis this weekend, part of a 34-car field.

Eagles Canyon and Fast Track’s other celebrity driver is Cody Jones from the action sports and entertainment troupe Dude Perfect, which has over 60 million subscribers on YouTube.

Nicknamed “Tall Man”, the 6’6″ Jones’ sanctioned racing debut in the #29 GR86 was the prize for winning a go-kart racing challenge at this year’s Formula One Australian Grand Prix against three of his fellow troupe members.

Reeves and Jones will be pitted against a strong field of drivers young and old, including the newly-crowned GR Cup North America Champion Gresham Wagner.

Wagner, the driver of the #5 Copeland Motorsports GR86, clinched the series championship last round at Barber Motorsports Park. At the Brickyard, Wagner will look to add to his eight wins on the season – before heading to Road Atlanta to try and win the Mazda MX-5 Cup championship.

Second place in the championship is still up for grabs between Wagner’s team-mate, Westin Workman (another driver running dual GR Cup/MX-5 Cup campaigns) and Spike Kohlbecker of TechSport Racing. Workman enters the final weekend of the season six points ahead of Kohlbecker.

Jaxon Bell, the son of 2015 IMSA GTD Champion and 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Townsend Bell, is fourth in the championship.

Another guest driver of note is Miki Koyama from Japan, driving the #75 Hattori Motorsports GR86 in partnership with Japan’s all-female KYOJO Cup Series.

Koyama, the inaugural KYOJO Cup champion in 2017 and 2018, became the first woman to win the FIA Formula Regional Japanese Championship title in 2022 – and last week, driving a Lexus RC F GT3, she became the first woman to take overall victory in a Super Taikyu Series race since 1993.

Koyama is one of four women in the field, joining Mia Lovell, Jade Avedisian, and Maddie Aust. Lovell is the series’ top female driver  (10th in overall points and the top-ranked woman in nine out of 12 races) – and Avedisian, a Toyota-backed prospect of the open-wheel oval circuit, finished second in last weekend’s BC39 sprint car race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway dirt track.

Does Kakunoshin race only in IMSA?

No, no not at all! IMSA is actually new for him, this is kind of a big deal.

He debuted in 2018 and competed in F4 Japanese Championship and French F4 Championship.

In 2022 he debuted in Super GT in the 300 class. In 2023 he debuted in Super Formula, and in Super GT he was promoted up to the 500 class. He drove two years in Super GT 500 after one year in 300, and he has had to DROP Super GT for 2025 for his on-going commitment to IMSA. He has 3 races in the GTP Cars and then I believe an additional two in a different class of car.

He debuted in Super Formula, like I said, and he had his first win in his rookie season! He continued to win a couple of times in 2024 as well as helping his teammate Tadasuke Makino (another amazing driver) secure Dandelion (the team they drive for) the constructors championship.

He also did Super Taikyu.

This is his IMSA debut, and also his AMERICAN debut. First race in the States!

His goal is Indycar last he said. I'm hoping that he does really well in these IMSA races and he gets some eyes on him, so that he may make that dream come true.

He will be driving in Super Formula this year, 2025, and is favored as the Champion. Of course, that doesn't mean this will happen, but we can hope, right? I believe in him and I know he can do it!

His other race is actually battle of the bricks at Indianapolis which I am also trying to go to hahaha. He might race at sebring in the lmp2 car if his sebring test goes well and if he does, I'm going to scramble to try and make it there as well. Kakunoshin actually has been racing in Super Formula, Super GT, and Super Taikyu! He had to drop Super GT this year due to his Imsa commitments though. He's not been anywhere very well known in the US until now! I love him dearly and believe in him so, so incredibly hard. While he's in America, I need to take every opportunity to watch him race. Just in case he doesn't come back for a while!

Oh that's great!!! I'm glad you'll be covered then 🩷 and that's also really good to know that they have options! Daytona was kind of a nightmare with getting around (though options were available it was just hard to get them). I'm a little apprehensive due to not knowing the track at all but it was similar with daytona and we ended up doing really well. And this race won't be 24 hours so theoretically I won't be exhausted afterwards hahaha.

oh i gotcha! i really wish i could watch super formula but i haven't been able to D: if you're u.s. american, do you happen to know if it's on motorsport.tv this year? i've been meaning to subscribe to it cuz i mean it's cheap, but it's hard to keep track of what they have the rights to year-on-year x_x; i understand why you'd wanna make sure to see him while he's here tho c: here's hoping he gets to race at sebring too!! so watkins is actually pretty easy, the town of watkins glen is really small and at the end of the longest of the finger lakes, like it's literally known among nascar drivers as their favorite track because it feels like being back home and they all stay in the little bed n breakfasts in random peoples' houses xD just make sure you get a hotel room so you don't end up in a fleatrap, because with the team members and everything they get snapped up quick when it's come race weekend time. corning, painted post, horseheads, and big flats are all within good driving distance and have good hotels. be careful of elmira, most of it's just fine but there are random neighborhoods and even single streets that have gangbangers - and avoid southside altogether. bath has some good hotels but also be careful, everything down there is small towns so nothing is dangerous per se, but bath is where newly released prisoners and SOs all go to get put up in section 8 so it has a uh. particular feel to it. ithaca's also not too far away and is just fine, but it has ithaca college AND cornell so there's lots of college kids which means partying and frathouses. the track's up on a hill (ain't everything down there) surrounded by nothing but fields and farmland and you're camping so you don't have to care about parking, but just be careful of the high likelihood of rain and mud in that part of new york :3 lastly, if you have the means cuz it's not big-city-restaurant-pricey but it's not cheap, i recommend seneca harbor station to everyone <3 it has amazing food and you can eat outside right next to the lake
