I have made some words this week! Are they good? I don't know! Are they in a document? Yes. Praise to the muse or whatever. (Thanks for tagging me in @monbons!)

I've been hiding behind my hands on the end of Friday Prime (Holsom Timeloop), but I now know what I'm going to write and I'm going to write it, y'all. I know most of you don't go to OMGCP fandom, but I am going to continue to encourage you to submit an application for enrollment.

I have put some words into Finally (already, always) AND mysterious and as-yet-with-secret-name In Other Lands fic, though. So. Yep. That's what you'll be seeing.

And he's about the handsomest boy at Watford. Definitely the most handsome boy in our year.  Sometimes I wonder if the reason I want him to like me is just that everyone else seems to, and I've forgot how to ignore it when someone doesn't.  But it isn't quite that.  There's something about him that's magnetic, something special. He's amazing on the football field. Definitely as good as some of the sixth years. Way better than me. He's even played in some of the interschool games. And of course he's top of our class. Or, well, him and Penny. They pretend they're competing for it, but we all know the only competition is good natured. Or, at least, I think it's good natured. There was that one time Baz burned a bit of Penny's notebook. But he said it was an accident, and he did put the fire out before too much of the notebook went up.

And my as-yet-unnamed In Other Lands fic, this snippet of which is really almost exclusively for @ionlydrinkhotwater and @petedavidsonscock (tag yourself in if you're a sunbrat enjoyer, please)

"Shall I tell him you'll be waiting for him there?"  "May as well."  "And will you be waiting for him there?"  "Maybe," Elliot said, and stomped off in the other direction.  The stomping was circuitous. The border camp wasn't that large, and eventually the stomping led to a lovely spot overlooking the lake. It would be absurd to suggest that Elliot had been hoping that Luke would be waiting there by the time he arrived, and no one suggested it, least of all Luke, who was waiting there when Elliot arrived.  "Hey, loser. Get tired of hearing how great you are?"

I just wanted to do some answers leftover from the chat while I'm in Q&A MODE! and to show my appreciation. <3

'I loved that Luke is still jealous like always! Luke and Elliot got to talk and get to understanding about How their relationship? And Rachel and other Sunborns miss elliot?'

--Luke and Elliot do reach a place of more understanding after Tears Waiting to be Diamonds, one of which is just the confirmation for Elliot that there is no one terrible unforgivable sin, reflective of his whole unlovable (to him) personality, that will be a dealbreaker to Luke: that Luke actually does know him, and knows what he's capable of.

The mortifying ordeal of being known, and knowing you're known, takes time.

Miss Applegold is, however, going to get some cold looks from the Sunborn Champion. He has Taken Against her.

Rachel and Louise, like Luke, are on team 'treason! Execute the - oh Elliot? That's different obviously. He has his reasons.' Michael Sunborn regards Elliot's treason more seriously, but he is still knitting Elliot's Christmas sweater and expects to see him on the holidays. Elliot is helped out here by the Sunborns, as a rule, not being a law-abiding people.

We missed out on so many scenes in the air.. We could've had Eliot and luke flying together and smooching. We could've had elliot surrounded by enemies and jumping off a cliff or some shit because he knew Luke would always catch him.

In Other Lands Map

I recently did a reread of In Other Lands by @sarahreesbrennan and got really inspired so I decided to attempt to draw up a map based on the book! I tried to take as much as I could from the book and include it in the map, but it doesn’t clarify a lot about how things are located in relation to each other so I had to make up my own interpretation. With that said, this is how I envision The Border Land and The Other Land in the book and I’m pretty happy with how it came out!

The Wall/Border and the Human World (Aka any random field in Devon, England.

The Border Camp where most of the book takes place and the surrounding areas, including the infamous lake, the nearby farming community and The Elvern Tavern.

The Sunborn Tower, home of Luke Sunborn and his family!

The Forest of the Suicides, where the harpies reside, and the nearby Troll caves.

The Aegle Woods, where dryads live and also where Elliot went (sneaked) on his first campaign.

The village and lake where Elliot first met mermaids(!!!).
