I felt really weird about "snatch" being a bad word. Sunachi...

... and I wasn't convinced by the explaination.

But in French, we have bad words, swearwords coming from religious themes, modified to avoid blaspheming. "palsambleu" instead of "par le sang de Dieu" , "sacrebleu" instead of "par le sacre de Dieu", "corbleu", "pour le coeur de Dieu"... and so many others

Anyway I'm betting on a deformation from "Sun no Hachi" or something like that.

It’s been said in a recent SBS that, Kuina’s grandfather, the guy who taught Zoro the ‘sunachi’ call, was the man who forged this sword.

And Zoro’s no forgetful fool - he remembers the Wado’s name after this and makes a point to learn and use the names of every sword he gets following.

So Zoro inherited the Wado Ichimonji directly from the family it was made by, was close with them for years, and they never told him so much as the sword’s name.

This is a pretty interesting sbs question.

At first I thought that Oda might take the route of Zoro being the decendant of Wano ship and it’s still likely (because sunachi seems to be a Wano important word that Zoro taught momonosuke) but Oda said it will be a minor story and he usually doesn’t do anything minor for Zoro.

Of course, ‘minor’ for Oda can become actually major so we never know.

The other person I thought of out of left field is Franky. It was said that his parents were sailors that abandoned him but this theory doesn’t seem very likely so I’m not counting on it.

Finally, it could be a non-strawhat. In that case, the opportunities are endless and I wouldn’t know where to begin!!

So I don't understand the message this is supposed to give away should be taken in a positive light or a negative one.
