I've been looking for more information about the Six-Eared Monkey for some time now, and today I came across the article in this post, which by the way I haven't finished reading yet but I'm loving it; I decided to pause reading it because I found a part talking about the 4 mystical monkeys that are not part of the 10 forms of mortality and immortality, one of them being the Long-Armed Gibbon; This is important because some time ago I heard about these 4 monkeys and because of this 3 monkey I created Gi Bao; Gi Bao would be my version of the third monkey, I'm still developing it, so I'm open to ideas, but this article I found made me want to explain this fact about my persona, or OC; The information I'm giving her is invented by me, because I didn't find anything talking about the real Long-Armed Gibbon;

I took the opportunity to take a photo of the part that mentions the 4 mystical monkeys, as I said, Gi Bao was created to be the 3rd monkey, but obviously, it is just my version and not the real Long Arm Gibbon;

So I got help from journeytothewestresearch who made this article about Six-Eared Macaque! I just changed the iron to silver so it will fit with my Macaque design better!

Monkey King Refrence.

Hello Everyone, I needed a hiatus from stuff. But as I was relaxing, I was watching old shows from childhood. The one being Hero:108.

This was a wakey show about humans and animals fighting and two sides: Big Green, trying to bring peace and an Evil King named Highroller, trying to ally with the animals so he can rule over the humans.

When I was re-watching it I knew a lot about this show but after getting into Sun Wukong and the JTTW I realized now that the show made reference to the Monkey King a few times.

WARNING: This Show in MY Opinion is awesome recommend watching before reading in case of spoilers!!! Thank You!

One of the references is one of the main characters he is in nearly every single episode. Commander ApeTrully he is the leader of Big Green and tries to bring peace to the animals and humans.

But here is the thing, this whole appearance is actually a disguise. The Commander is actually .........

A Monkey but not just any monkey, his name is later revealed to be Monkey King. However, he is not THE Monkey King from his wiki page he is the 33rd Monkey King. BUT, in the scene, this image was taken from he is pleading with a diety.

That deity being called Stone Money

A skeletal monkey made of stone, that is wearing a familiar golden fillet. This being is able to grant powerful "favors." One of those favors is granting another one of the main characters lazer eyes.

Like his first power when he shot lasers into the heavens. When the Stone monkey gave this character these new eyes he littelry replaced them from the normal white and black to gold and red. Once again another appearance trait of Wukong. Red and gold eyes.

Other Notes:

The one thing that really seemed to get me was how odd Apetrully was he clearly was not meant to be too much resembling Wukong as in the show Apetrully was a pure pacifiest with shows' of pure disgust at even the slightest thought of violence ever being used even on there own enemies and their troops of armed guards. He would always, always try to talk things out first. He constantly falls for the lies and tricks of his enemies. And in EVERY EPISODE he is GETTING KIDNAPPED and Has to be rescued. To me, Apetrully might have the title of Monkey King but instead, he had the full personality of Tripitaka. HE is literally Tripitaka in pure monkey skin.

I only have one image in my head, and it’s the Macaque monkey with a baby next to a statue of the Madonna and Children in Rishikesh, India. 

And Sun Wukong as a very old grandpa who forgot how parenthood works and only knows how to act cool around the “kids”.

Im not 100% happy with the result... Im making a digital version too that i'll post when i finish it, that i think it will turn out better, but making a comic on paper again was fun! And i think im getting better at watercolor too

Monkey King in Child Shows: Ni hao, Kai-lan

I watched this show with a younger relative. One of my cousins had the show saved on DVD so I got to watch it with his kid. The show itself is a Dora Explora-type show that teaches children a different language. While also teaching things like good morals and behavior. Considering I got stuck watching it I just wanted to note down some stuff I noticed.

The Monkey King of this show only debuted at the near end of the show itself but is mentioned multiple times. For the Halloween episode the character dressed as him and in another, the character did a play about him. The show presents him as the wildly loved hero of all the main characters. In one episode where they tell an adventure of Monkey King they talk about his friend the butterfly and him saving a baby rabbit from a tree. It was so cute :)

He is perceived as someone who keeps peace among the animals the first real conflict would be between two animal kingdoms and he asks Kai-lan and her friends for help. This also shows his animal transformation in his time as a flying squirrel.

Finally, in the last episode, the main cast was invited to his home. they help him prepare for a celebration but they end up making a mess. But he helps them make things right.

Powers:

He has his magical staff and has "magical powers"

But in this his transformation are due to a suit he wears and he wears red shoes that make him jump high. He does have the cloud summer sult and can summon other clouds for guests.

His appearance is that of Peking opera.
