Blake: What are they doing?

Emerald: They saw a TokDok where a guy hoola hooped while doing a plank. They viewed it as a challenge.

Neptune: I'm not surprised.

Ren: Same. But why do the hoops have numbers on them?

Emerald: Apparently their version of "Challenge Accepted" was to use weighted hoops and to go for the duration of the song the Dokker used.

Blake: How heavy are they?

Emerald: I think they're all using 20 pound weights.

BRN: 20 POUNDS?!?!

Emerald: Yeah. Oh! They're getting ready! (pulls up scroll) You guys good?

NYS: (in plank position with hoops around their waists) READY!!!

Emerald: Aaaaaaand...(presses record and starts the song) GO!!!

NYS: (spin the hoops to get them started and start hoola hooping while planking, occassionally going into a pushup and going back down)

BRN: (blushing profusely while all holding hands)

From Angels to Demons

As much as the FNDM complains about the White Fang plotline, I believe it does, meta-wise accomplish its goal; as an introduction to one of RWBY’s most important themes. That theme is how good slowly falls to evil, and how easy it is for a benign force to become no better than what they were fighting against.

The White Fang eases us into this concept by going in reverse. When we first hear of the WF, they are described as a “Once-peaceful organization”, and that they were disrupting another Faunus protest rally. When we first see the WF in action, they are Roman Torchwick’s mooks. Sun does not see them in a good light, calling them “holier-than-thou creeps”. If it wasn’t for Blake’s testimony in “Black and White” we’d have no indication that the White Fang was meant for anything good. In the Beacon Saga, they were

Then in latter half of the Mistral Arc, we are introduced to the White Fang’s more complex side, in the form of Ilia Amitola. Underneath the brutal facade she puts forward, Ilia’s grieving the deaths of her parents and lashing out at a world she sees as cruel and unfeeling. Furthermore, the Adam Taurus short shows us the slow decline of the WF through Adam’s character progression, and Adam’s final moments in the show he too has been hurt bad. But while Ilia accepts Blake's help and reforms herself, Adam refuses Yang's plea to walk away and soon dies. After that, in the Atlas Saga, we see what kind of society and culture the White Fang were fighting with our own eyes.

In short, we start with the White Fang being 2-dimensional villains, but eventually they are fleshed out, and their motives become more personal. It’s like the “Protagonist Journey to Villain” entry on TV Tropes, but backwards.

the most naturally occurring Wukong-esque action of the destined one in the whole game is when Bajie is transformed to tackle the Giant Iron Ball that keeps getting hit-n-runs off of them all but when they both get flown off of a cliff and Bajie is screaming for help all he gets is a blank faced monkey staring down at him. BOY go help ur geriatric uncle before i get the rice cooker spoon.

The bite scene never left my mind, so I'm animating...maybe first the bases and then I can start this.

Like THEY ARE SO CUTE OH LORD! Like Wukong is a sneaky cheeky flirty destructive trickster monkey that he makes Duzhe question their relationship and HE LIKES THAAAAT He loves their reactions, and is like a monkey curious. He's most likely a type of spider monkey. I DON'T KNOW I'm still trying to see what kind of relationship they would have. AAAHHH

It not supposed to be professional it just for fun and also because it helps me plan out what I want in the animation. Also mosquito are back and I hate it!

How many adaptions has a bad ending for the group, like I remember there was one where Sun Wukong murdered Tang Seng in his sleep and he didn't remember afterward?

That is from a light novel Bio of Wukong. And while that was the height of JTTW angst popularity it still didn't get that adapted into any movie/show.

I can't say that there is any 'bad' ending because while that could work well in maybe a literature medium. Books allow for a long time to build up characters, exposition, and suspense without needing to worry about limitations like runtime or production costs. I can't say that there are a lot of shows that are bold enough to have a 'bad' ending really as movies only have a limited time, especially for something like JTTW that is always seen more as a Fantasy/Adventure story than anything dramatic. Not saying that JTTW can't have horror elements or dramatic elements, but that it just isn't common that this is the main element.

That being said that there are two pieces of media that are inspired by Bio of Wukong. One being a movie by the same name "Bio of Wukong" where we see Wukon's whole mountain being killed off and that even shows Wujing and Bajie's past lives Juanlian and Tianpeng being killed off as well. While this is the most 'bad' ending movie it isn't really the end as it more takes place right before Wukong is about to be trapped under the mountain. Moreso this takes what is already there, the Burning of Flower Fruit Mountain, and is the focal point of the movie. However, while it ends with Wukong trying to take on Heaven one more time we never see the actual journey so I can't say it is a 'bad' ending when that isn't shown.

Another that can be a 'bad' ending somewhat is from where the Bio of Wukong light novel is actually inspired by which is the Chinese Odessey. This one Wukong does try to kill Sanzang, but fails, and he gets trapped by Guanyin where in the next life he turns into Joker. Sanzang does end up 'dying' in that verse. However this is a time-travel movie so Joker does go back in time and he does become Wukong again and then he does go on the journey so that is also not really a 'bad' ending.

A better one could be considered Westward the animation series. This one is where by the end of the journey Wukong is killed in heaven and Sanzang, Bajie, and Wujing are separated after the scripture are lost. Pretty much someone evil has secretly taken over heaven and what to use the scriptures for evil stuff. Now Wukong dead, Sanzang, Bajie, Wujing, Bailong (Ao Xue), and now BaiLang a wolf demon are on a mission to bring back the scriptures to Western Heaven so that the evil people don't get their hands on them (also the scriputres have cultivated into a dragon girl). This one is more adventure/action but it is a 'bad' ending for the journey officially which leads to this SECOND journey to fix it.

Also a strange addition but God of High School the anime. You would never guess but the main character is Sun Wukong without his memory and apparently, the gods of that world lied to him and his pilgrimage about the scriptures and it was all a ploy for 'buddha' or the god claiming to be him to eat Sanzang and become all powerful himself. Sadly ends with Bajie and Wujing dying and Wukong has to eat Sanzang himself in a last-minute desperate move to defeat the evil deity which does work but leaves Wukong eventually going to earth and becoming 'human'. Kinda insane but that is a 'bad' ending that is only revealed like after 400 chapters in.

Ahhhh! That makes me so happy. Genuinely was getting overwhelmed in comments cause so many wanted to hear XD

The thing is it's all about where I would start- *presure in on staring at the universe like "how did I get here?"*

-cause I could easily direct someone to watch something on him (Like Overly sarcastic production they are the goat of explaining who this little guy is and they have an ongoing series which focuses on more of the exciting tales).

But also I feel I haven't scratched the surface of adaptations. I know about the famous ones like Dragon ball (which I do find funny that Goku is not the first anime Goku there's another anime where it's jttw but pretty anime boys), and Lego Monkie kid.

However to go more obscure outside of America, one of my favorite adaptation -just from premise alone- is a Korean drama where Sun Wukong and Demon bull king are roommates ( A Korean Odyssey).

And there's like one thing from overly sarcastic Monkey King video that I could even add to is The Lumberjack scene (Which has no affect to the story and really you can argue there was no need to bring them u0 (Or maybe they are JUST ion The monkey and the monk)) But I got attached to that scene for the sheer potential of a Lumberjack who lives down the mountain from the immortals (aka Wukong's soon to be Mentor, Master Subhuti). Just a regular dude living his life them BOOM Monkey.

(I drew this after I read about him. Man was singing a poem and Wukong confused the man for being an immortal. beautiful)

Im so sorry for just dropping this but again Thank you I don't want to make you read a novel. There's almost a temptation to make a video on my thoughts but for now I'm trying to make some Jttw content that can express my love for this little guy. But I can say this if you know about how Wukong Scratched his name out of the book of the dead then you'll what my next animatic will be on (hopefully i just scribbled my thoughts out today so it's in pre-production)

I have a lot of thoughts get I still feel like im missiing so much. BUT IM GETTING THERE!

Also I cant talk about Black Myth Wukong. 50% of it is me dying in game. 30% staring at pretty visuals, or 10% me whining that I cant climb stuff even though Im monkey so I should have the right to climb or the last 10% is me finding a character, grabbing him and trying to make a character of them cause i think they're neat.

Hello and welcome! There are no stupid questions in my blog so it's okay! Six Eared Macaque and Sun Wukon in my AU are not in a romantic relationship nor do I ship them. I follow more of the book called Journey To The West where they are enemies (and Wukong kills MC for doing bad monkey business). I hope this helps and I hope you will enjoy my art ❤️✨ (some people do ship them thanks to Lego Monkey Kid! I personally see it more as a brotherly love but either ways are fine!
