Now onto the answers!

4) Do they look good in red?

Honestly... I don't know?

I've never thought to imagine Josele in red before. In my mind she's always wearing neutral (brown, grey, white, black) or cool colors (mostly blue and purple). So I can't actually say definitively whether or not red is a good color on her because it's never actually crossed my mind.

She might look good in red? Red and brown (which is Josele's secondary color next to blue) often go well together after all.

16) If money wasn't a limit, what would they wear?

With unlimited money, Josele would buy herself some magic armor pieces. A shoulder pad here, arm and shin guards there, and maybe one of those chest plates that cover her upper chest (not like Charlotte's, something more realistic!).

Because normally, when Josele goes on missions, she just relies on her raw agility to avoid attacks and her endurance to take any hits she can't dodge. The unlimited budget would allow her to invest in some armor that'll give her a little more defense without sacrificing too much of her dexterity.

29) What recurring dreams do they have?

Josele tends to have lots of dreams where she's walking somewhere. Maybe she's walking through the woods or along the beach. Sometimes, Josele had lots of dreams involving her walking in complete darkness (dreams like that were most frequent after Morgen's death and while Josele was recovering from her curse). There's many instances of her dreaming of being on her way to some place, maybe she arrives at a destination and maybe she's just traveling.

Another type of recurring dream that Josele has are dreams involving her friends knowing absurd and fake secrets about her life. They're really random and often so ridiculous that Josele wakes up from laughing at how stupid it can be. Well, except that one time she dreamed about Fuegoleon interrogating Josele about sleeping with Nozel (who was dating Fue in her dream) and it left Josele a little shaken because she doesn't need more reasons to feel awkward around the Vermillions. 😆

For the Japanese words ask game could I ask for Nozel (Nozeru Shiruva it's this in Rōmaji 🤔) and Helena? (Are we surprised? No 😂)

You can certainly ask for the both of them! And yes, no one is surprised by your choice of characters to ask for. But that's okay. We gotta have some consistency to ourselves. 💖

Now, time to show you the words I've come up with! Here we go!

So first up we have Nozel Silva. The words I've associated with him are 覆い隠す (ooikakusu) and 不幸 (fukou). 覆い隠す means "to mask, to conceal, to hide" and Nozel is known for masking his fear and self-loathing. He wears a mask of dignity and strength and hides the frustrated, mourning man he is deep down. The second word, 不幸, means "sorrow," "unhappiness," "disaster," and even "death (usually in a relatives)." And, well, Nozel experienced the tragedy of his mother's death and was left in a state of misery.

Now for Helena, her words are 繕う (tsukurou) and 西洋紙 (seiyoushi). 繕う means "to mend" or "to repair," as well as "to keep up appearances" in some contexts. And, albeit archaically, it means "to treat" like for an injury. It suits Helena as her royal status means she must be mindful of how she presents herself, her character is meant to help the Silva family mend as individuals and as a sibling unit, and she is a healer. Now for 西洋紙, it means "Western paper." Now obviously, it's a reference to Helena's Paper Magic but there's more to it. Usually it's only written as 洋紙 but I like the inclusion of 西 because while it literally means "west" it's also the character used for one version of writing the word for Spanish language 西語 (it's typically written スペイン語), and the Drazels are Hispanic if I recall correctly. So 西洋紙 felt like a good word to have a layered connection to your girl.

Hopefully you find the words suitable and not too confusing.

2) Who is your best friend? Tell us about them!

A singular best friend? I could never! Yami is going to fight me about this but it's a tie between Mallory Demiscura and Acylla Rhine.

I met Acylla first. She was one of the first Black Bulls after myself and Henry. We got along surprisingly well despite me being dead inside at the time of meeting. She never judged. And she looked for the ways that I showed care instead of expecting me to act like a normal person. She's understanding and sweet but a bit of a trickster at times (she keeps up with Zora well).

Mallory joined the squad a few years later but we became close quite quick. I instructed her in archery and watched over her as a senior squadmate should. But she also helped me too. Even though she knew I wasn't expressive, she went out of her way to cheer me up after hard work days and showed me all the warmth that I lacked at the time. She's my Sunny, bright and warm.

12) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? (on vacation or permanently!)

Anywhere in the world? No restrictions?

Well, I'd love to vacation in Hino. Yami... Or I guess Sukehiro's homeland seems so interesting. The textiles there are beautiful. And I hear the seafood there is the highest quality! I'd love to compare it to the seafood that's provided in Raquey.

24) What would you consider your main love language?

My main love language? I go back and forth between quality time and physical touch.

Whether it be cooking with Nacht. Or shopping with the ladies. Or teaching the little ones to defend themselves. Being with those I love fills me with so much joy. The more time I spend with them, the more I love them too.

And I adore showing affection through touch because it affirms how close me and my loved ones are. It's literal closeness and I just... Ah~! My absolutely favorite gesture for showing affection, though, would be to touch foreheads with the person I'm with. I don't know what it is but that alone feels more intimate than a hug or even a kiss.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

So I will lead this answer with the following statement: 99% of the time, I can objectively get why people have the OTP that they do. The logic and reasoning for the ship can be written out for me and I can understand that. It's just that I would have little to no emotional investment in it. In a way, the ships I list are only ships that I don't emotionally get.

With that said...

A necessary precaution for the hornet's nest I'm about to strike.

Black Clover: Dorothy x Nozel. Mereoleona x Yami. Secre x Asta. Jack x Yami. Ichika x Ryuuya. Vanessa x Nozel.

Demon Slayer: Douma x Shinobu. Akaza x Kyoujurou.

Hero Aca: Katsuki x Shouto x Izuku (that whole triangle in any combination).

A:tLA: Zutara. Toph x Satoru (that one dude in the comics with the factory).

Again, I can see where these ships are coming from objectively (like thematically or logic of character bonds). My heart is just apparently made of stone when faced with these OTPs. I'm sorry. And that's where the discussion is ending.

(Also I have a lot more BC ships that I don't get because it's the fandom I'm actually invested in.)

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

Lolopechka x Gadjah.

Both in-universe and on a meta fandom level, this ship is very pure.

Gadjah is the loyal guard to the queen who sees Lolo for everything she is: a regal queen, an unsure woman still coming into her own, a clumsy sweetheart, and a soul dedicated to her kingdom and her friends. Lolopechka is the benevolent queen who puts more trust in Gadjah than anyone else, even the other Spirit Guardians. It's clear she thinks highly of him too since his confession got her so worked up. Maybe it's just her being awkward but I'm pretty sure the intended understand is that she's thrown off by the man she loves saying he loves her too.

And in the fandom, I've never encountered anything negative about the ship. Most people support the couple. And even when shipping them (mostly Lolo) with other characters, there's never any dissing of the other character. It's smaller ship with side characters and so that make it easier for the fandom to treat the ship respectfully.

26. Most shippable character?

Finral Roulacase.

Ship him with Yami or Finesse or Vanessa or Gauche (I've heard in passing in once) or Kirsch or just anyone.

My obvious favorite option is Finesse. But one of my mutuals (@/sailor-muno [currently inactive for reasons]) has an oc (Mallory) she ships with Finral and FinMal has a permanent corner of my mind for itself. Legit, I had to shake my hands to get all my jitters out because I got to chance to bring Mallory up! BUT ALSO! Nacht x Finral. I... this pair has something to it that I just need to have. They're both big brother and failures in the eyes of somebody and they're both tired of the BB's antics and Yami causes them stress and-! AASJHFLJKAHETHAEIUTHUIAEHKBJRHLGIU!

Finral has an energy that works well with a lot of characters because he is so often playing the straight man to the wildness of others. And even when he's the weirder one in the couple (see Finral x Finesse), he's still a grounded person whose moments of wildness can bring excitement into a "quiet" relationship.

Nozel x Helia

Okay, I'll be honest, Nozelia is 50/50 makes sense and doesn't make sense. Nozel is super proper and disciplined while Helia is untamed, silly, and airheaded. They're opposites in every way and yet they find their way to each other. The main means for them to connect is Helia taking the initiative to send Nozel letters updating him on Noelle's situation in the Black Bulls and it takes some time before Nozel starts replying.

But still, their relationship is so compelling. Helia has the freedom and optimism that Nozel lacks because of his position and history. Helia is open with her love of her family while Nozel is on the struggle bus for that, so he'd envy that in her. And Helia knows Nozel is unnecessarily cold but still wants to become someone disciplined like him since for so long, she's just been living without much thought. I'm also compelled by the contrast they have. Nozel is pale and Helia has lovely tanned skin. Nozel is silver and Helia is gold. He has a metal-based magic (and I always associate metal with civilization and technology, even in this case) and she has a plant-based magic (plants are the wild). Opposites attract, babyyyyyyyy~!

Now I've talked about this ship before but I'm gonna go for it again.

MAKES SENSE AND COMPELS ME!

Morgen is the squishy wizard while Josele is the martial warrior. But Morgen learned a spell to make weapons because of Josele and Josele does what she can to fight with her magic. I'm made super soft by the way the two of them love basically everything about each other. Josele always knew she was different from the noble girls that Morgen was surrounded by. But Morgen adores her rough hands, her strong arms, and her simple beauty. Josele loves Morgen's bedhead and the joy of brushing it out, his long finger with their gentle touch, and the dimples on his face when he smiles so wide. They bring out the best in each other. I am also compelled by how silly they can be, getting absorbed in their own little world. I'm just too soft for them!

As of me writing the answers for this post, my most recently written line is:

24) How do you choose whose POV to write in?

When it comes to choosing a POV, I just consider whose thoughts I want to frame the situation or what just makes sense.

Like when I wrote the moment when Nacht just... tears out Josele's heart, I knew I wanted it to be from Nacht's perspective because that way, Josele's reaction can be seen. He (and the readers) don't know what she's thinking but they can see the effect Nacht's words have on her still. It's about Nacht seeing the consequences of his thoughtless actions and I love it so much!

And then for a fic like "First Sight," I did it in 1st person POV because that's the POV used by visual novels. Plus it meant I could avoid bringing up a name and thus preserve the player-insert vibe that RadiTale has.

35) What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted?

What an evil question. Making me choose a favorite from my children (the fanfics)./lh+j

Out of everything I've written and posted... I really think "A Shared Bitter Aroma" is my favorite. It centers on my beloved Faustsele ship. It's based on a song that practically altered my brain chemistry (Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu). It's got angst but also little moments of fluff and hurt/comfort (to make the angst even stronger). It's got a lot of characters thinking about their emotions and feeling sorry for themselves. And it's something I put months into making just right.

It just has a lot of things that I like in my writing.

🤦‍♀️ - Something that continues to embarrass them to this day

Helia is a bit of a ditz and doesn't always think before she speaks. That leads to the chance of her putting her foot in her mouth, as she once did with Asta.

Back when Asta joined the Black Bulls and everyone learned that he was completely without magic, Helia's response to it was "oh so it's kinda like you're magically impotent?" The question embarrassed Asta thoroughly. Finral scolded Helia's remark while folks like Magna and Yami got a good chuckle out of it.

Asta never holds it against Helia and they get along great, practically like siblings. But if the topic of how they met ever comes up, Helia buries her face in her hands and Asta awkwardly tries to laugh away the subject. Solid and Nebra do eventually catch wind of Helia's awful phrasing and poke fun at her for it for the rest of the day.

(Also, Helia's comparison doesn't even make sense. She was probably looking to say "magically sterile" and not "impotent" but she didn't take the time to consider her phrasing and the implications of her words.)

😊 - Something that always makes them smile

Helia's day can always be brightened by a gift of flowers. It can be a full bouquet of many different flowers or it can just be a sprig of bluebells. Maybe it's because of her affinity or maybe it's just because flowers are something Helia associates with happiness but Helia can't feel down when she's got a bloom or two in her hands.

🤝 - Are they good with people? Are they able to get along with people and communicate effectively with the people around them?

Helia does amazingly with people! She's outgoing and a big extrovert! Helia thrives on the energy other people bring, especially if everyone is having a good time. As I said before, she doesn't think too much before she speaks. So while it means she can say things in a clumsy way at times, it also means she speaks in a direct way. It's pretty easy to communicate with her that way.

Not only that but Helia likes making people feel good, sharing compliments and positive thoughts as much as she can. That gets her in a lot of people's good sides. But being so complimentary towards people has also made her seem shallow and like a flatterer. Which... is a little true. But that doesn't stop Helia from being a genuine social butterfly.

10) what is the longest amount of time you’ve let a draft rest before you finished it?

Looking through my fanfictions (the documents that I draft in and their initial tumblr publications [my Ao3 post dates are not to be trusted since I transferred fics from here to there]), it seems that the longest time something has sat as a draft was roughly 9 months. The completed fic was finished about 2 years ago.

A little more recently, one of my WIPs had the outline written down in March but I didn't start actually writing the prose/narration until June, so only about 3.

Although, reading the question again, I wonder if it means to ask how long I've left a draft alone before returning to work on it. And in that sense, I might leave a draft alone for a few days, maybe a week, if I'm stuck on it. But usually I'll try to look at a draft daily and add/change a sentence or two.

22) do you ever worry about public reaction to what you’re writing? how do you get past that?

Looking at one of my WIPs (and possibly my favorite current WIP), I definitely think people might see it and be left questioning my mind.

I'm not all that worried about people's reaction to it. Because honestly, most of the people following my blog won't bother reading it (different fandom from BC). And the people who would be interested in reading it understand the media that the fanfiction is coming from and thus would have the mindset to accept it.

I've never actually had anyone voice negativity towards my content (either because they don't see it in the first place or they don't have a strong enough negative reaction to warrant saying anything) so far. But if I end up posting this particular WIP as a finished fic and people don't like it then all I can really do is shrug my shoulders at them.

The fanfiction is for a piece of media that has a lot of heavy/questionable aspects that most might not want to touch but I find myself fascinated by. And the conceit of the fic is to satisfy a specific desire of mine. It's a fic that caters to me first.

29) how easy is it for you to come up with titles?

I’ve already answered this question here.

But in short, titles tend to come to me easily. I base title on the the content of a work and it’s always been pretty easy to come up with satisfactory titles.

You’ve explained multiple times that your story Paper Hearts is about developing the Silvas and redeeming their characters through your oc Helena. It reminds me of Asta and his role in the Black Bulls, as his influence brings about growth in all the members. Your writing aside, both you and Asta are positive people who just ooze adorableness. I hope that doesn’t come across as condescending. I just tend to call the people I like “cute” for whatever reason. And, well, I like you and Asta so you’re both adorable to me.

Annice Willowe (Cinderella Phenomenon)

While not prominent in the game, Annice is always there and offering support to the heroine Lucette. And you’re quite the same, always showing kindness to those around you. You and Annice also happen to both have an interest in medicine/medical practices. Another thing about you that reminds me of Annice is that you’re pretty straightforward. You have secrets about your story, yes, but I mean you have an honest heart like the character.

YAMICHAR CONFESSION FIC KAJELHLIUEHITUHAEIUTHEALKHGGHIEUAHT!

This was a 5% spite fic because Tabata did Charlotte dirty. But 95% is just me wanting them to finally be on the same page about their feelings and get some goodness between Yami and Charlotte!

Charlotte took a sip of the amber-colored liquid in her teacup. While it looked like an ale from a tavern, the drink didn’t have the hit that alcohol did. It was a gentle, toasted flavor instead. “What kind of tea is this?” she asked in genuine curiosity. “Barely tea. It’s from my homeland,” Yami explained. “Or well, the closest I can make. I only just recently got the tea to tasting this good through a lot of trial and error.” Charlotte raised her eyebrows at this. She never suspected Yami to have a side project like this. Or one at all. Then again, she tended to her manor’s garden in her sparse free time so it made sense for Yami to take up a hobby that made him feel more at home as well. “I applaud your effort, Yami. It’s not a flavor I’d expect from tea, but it’s quite refreshing,” Charlotte said with a smile. Her relaxed expression quickly fell away though. “But enough of basic pleasantries. You said you had something to ask of me.” She set down her cup and rested her chin on the back of her interlocked hands. “So, what is it?” “Don’t look so worked up,” chuckled Yami. “‘S nothing serious if that’s what you’re worried about.” “Considering all four kingdoms are still rebuilding from Spade’s— From the Zogratis’ misdeeds…” Charlotte’s voice trailed off, realizing her mistake. The everyday citizens of the Spade Kingdom had been victims themselves under the rule of the Zoagratis family. To blame the country as a whole would be in poor taste. “…it’s hard for me not to still be on edge.” Yami mutely nodded in agreement. “As I was saying…” Charlotte raised her head and put a hand on her cup again. “What is it you wished to discuss?” Yami stared into Charlotte’s eyes for a moment, seeming to consider something. He took a deep breath. Then, “When I was about to die, you yelled something at me. What did you say?” The question made Charlotte’s heart skip a beat and her face heat up in an instant.

I like this specific snippet from the fic because it's me throwing a random headcanon/piece of characterization at Yami. This whole fic makes me smile though. Because Charlotte gets to be more composed and like herself than the blushing mess Tabata usually depicts her as. 7) that i nursed in a daydream before finally writing

Man, I'm in the middle of nursing a fic series in my mind while also chipping away at writing it. A few of the parts are completed actually. I'm a third of the way through, but with my current drought of writing energy/vibes, I've hit a road block.

I want to keep some secrets so I picked this snippet I'm about to share somewhat carefully. Just to keep a certain mystery about what's going on.

When David got home, he felt lightheaded and ready to vomit. He didn’t bother taking off his shoes as either his roommates would clean up or make him take care of whatever scuff marks he left behind. All David really had on his mind was getting to the bathroom. The fluorescent lights were too bright on his eyes. And it took David a moment to get used to the drone of water and the fan. At least he got the water’s temperature right on the first try. And the feeling of the water running down his body was therapeutic. David spent several minutes working shampoo through his hair. And he scrubbed at his skin until it felt raw. All to remove the stink of cigarettes and alcohol from his body. As he rinsed off, David thought that he’d need to double check how many laundry sheets he had left and if the sachets in his drawers needed replacing. He stepped out of the shower and his visage in the mirror greeted him. His hair stuck to his face and seemed to frame his eyes and their dark circles. David tried to smile, to remind himself that he was free to relax at home, but his face was too tired for it.

I'm putting David through it for no reason at all. Don't worry. It gets better for him. I just haven't written that part yet. Whoops.

I'm usually a person who just straight up deletes scenes or phrasing that I find myself not vibing with. So I don't have much cut content lying about

My stupid Morgsele brainrot prevented me from trashing some soft fluff ideas that I never found a place for in a fic and never became long enough to be posted on their own!

“I spy with my eyes something…” Josele paused in her words and looked around for dramatic effect. “Something brown!” Morgen and Josele had been given the relatively simple task of patrolling city streets for the day. Though they were diligent in eyeing suspicious activity, the peaceful day gave them the chance to go about their duties with little tension. “You cannot spy your own eyes, silly.” Morgen’s cheeky grin gave away that his guess was fake. But Josele played along. “Nope! Not that dark brown. It’s something that smells good.” “Then your hair perhaps?” “I’m spying something that isn’t attached to or on me.” “Ah, darn. And I was about to guess your scabbard next.” Morgen rapped his knuckles against the wood of the scabbard on Josele’s belt before wrapping his arm around her waist. Josele giggled and shook her head. “Have you been paying any attention to your surroundings today?” “Love, I am like a newborn babe. My eyes are instinctively drawn to attractive things.” Morgen pecked Josele’s temple and she could feel his lovestruck grin through the gesture. “I can’t help it if you are all my eyes can see.” “Momo, stop!” Josele shook her head but still put her hand over the one that Morgen had placed on her waist. “Need another hint?” “Yes please. I’m absolutely lost here. And not just in your eyes…” Yet another laugh left Josele’s lips at Morgen’s flirtations. They were over the top but they caused her heart to flutter regardless. “The something I spy is perishable.” Morgen’s eyes flickered in the direction of the bakery they were almost finished passing in front of. And in the window were various baked goods. “You didn’t finish breakfast, did you?” Morgen asked with a concerned tilt of his head. Josele giggled and looked to the side. “Can we stop for just one thing?” “We’ll stop for two things. I think those were raspberry muffins in the window,” Morgen muttered while guiding Josele towards the bakery’s entrance.

Morgen just laying it on thick with the flirting! He just wants Josele to blush and smile and be the beautiful woman that he admires day after day kjahfigahsiruth! And he's so happy to be able to be open with his attraction.

(Side note but related: I cut scene from the YamiChar confession fic that would've had Charlotte notice her grimoire changing from blue to red, showing her curse lifting since I do feel like putting her heart out there would have an effect there. But I ended up scrapping it because it felt too plot/lore related for a fic I really just wanted about emotions and talking.)
