Moon is Lunars caregiver, and has been since Lunar was still in their head.

When Lunar regresses, they refuse to be set down, and not a second of their tiny time will be spent outside of a carers arms. As a result, Moon is used to carrying them all around, and sometimes even forgets that they're in his arms, especially because they're typically asleep.

-Although he seems like he wouldn't be the greatest at caregiving, he is. He knows how to play a little rougher with Sun when they regress to a bit older, but also knows how to be oh so gentle with Lunar, shushing and rocking them

-Built Lunar's crescent moon shaped crib for them, including the mobile with it

-Earth scolds him for heating bottles in the microwave instead of the bottle warmer when she's around

-Has one of those baby pouches and carries Lunar in it since they won't let him set them down

-When he notices Lunar is doing one of their no-regressing spurts, he'll pick them right up, carry them to their room, and baby the heck out of them until they slip

-Knows the no pants rule. has gotten kicked in the face enough times to know trying is pointless

-Gives little nuzzles instead of kisses

-Loves all of Lunars plushies just as much as they do

-Has fallen asleep in Lunar's crib with them far too many times

-Will never get tired of singing and humming them little lullabies

-Overall, best caregiver ever <3

Sunny likes to watch the interactive cartoons like Blue's Clues, Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for example. Bit nostalgic to how he interacted with kids at the daycare.

I mentioned Moony prefers watching calming videos, but he does watch cartoons. Less so the interactive ones. A few he likes are Backyardigans and Bluey.

-Worlds sleepiest and fussiest baby

-Moon is their caregiver and Solar babysits sometimes

-Loves crinkly toys. Soft stimmies and crinkle toys always

-Entirely carer dependant

-Has a crib and various big-sized little gear

-Regresses mostly involuntarily

-Sometimes has spurts of not regressing due to not wanting to depend of Solar or Moon. When this happens, one of them will purposely make them slip

-50/50 if they be calm and settled or fussy and wailing when their awake(which isn't often)

-Monty once thought it would be really funny to give them a jack-in-the-box (Lunar cried for 3 hours after that)

Caregiver!Eclipse Headcanons

Exploring the abandoned Pizzaplex was a lot scarier than you had anticipated

Running away from half dismantled endoskeletons, falling through broken vents, and all the creepy noises weren’t exactly soothing experiences

Eventually you stumbled across the dilapidated Daycare and took a break*

*Had a complete breakdown

You crawled inside one of the caving in play tubes, where you found a discarded and forgotten Freddy plush. Curling up, you cried until you heard someone moving close by

And that’s how Sun and Moon found you. At the sight, their emergency protocols kicked in; a perceived child was in danger, and Eclipse took over. No matter what someone’s bodily age appears to be, they are programmed to take care of anyone who needs it.

“Little one, what are you doing here? It’s not safe to play here, and the Pizzaplex is closed!”

Looking up, you saw the managed thing with a broken smile, shattered faceplate, glowing eyes, and torn jester’s outfit. But it wasn’t frightening, not to you. Their eyes illuminated the dark tunnel, unlike your dead flashlight, and the concern in their voice portrayed no danger. Besides, this was the first thing you had seen today that didn’t try to hurt you on sight.

First, Eclipse escorted you to Sun and Moon’s room, via the cable. It was like flying!

Though it was dusty and clearly had been untouched for a long time, the beanbag chairs, stuffed animals, and crayons here were enough to keep you entertained as Eclipse patched up all the bruises and scrapes you had accumulated from exploring.

They sing nursery rhymes, play a music box lullaby, and read a story to help you keep calm.

They used soothing nicknames, like sunshine, little one, starlight, and moon dust.

If you called him by a Caregiver/parental term, such as ‘Momma’ or ‘Daddy’ they wouldn’t mind at all! In fact, they’d be proud to make you feel so safe; children needed parental figures in moments of distress!

Eclipse is very tactile, loving to hold you close to make sure you’re okay both mentally and physically. Endless cuddles and hugs!

Eclipse never leaves your side, per ‘Child in Danger’ protocol. You want a sippy cup, new toy, or more glitter glue? No problem, but you have to tag along while he gets them!

Speaking of which, they are very strict on safety rules! Keeping kiddos healthy is the number one priority, so no you cannot put that in your mouth or eat whatever decade old food had been left here.

If you really like it, you can go for a ride on the cable again. Swinging back and forth in soothing motions, specifically. And don’t worry, Eclipse will make sure you’re secure and comfortable, and won’t be too far off the ground.

Of course they’ll play with you! Pretend, with action figures, I Spy-whatever you’d like! And they’re so good at it; they’ll make different voices for characters, come up with intricate story lines to follow, but will do everything at your pace.

If you have any disability equipment, they’ll help you maneuver yourself and it across the hazardous paths of the daycare. And they’ll fully trained to help with any medical issues!

So patient and gentle too.

If you start to cry again, you’ll be in their arms in an instant. Whatever scared or hurt you will be fixed asap.

After hours of play and comforting, they finally escorted you to the exits.

Eclipse hesitated before letting you out the doors. Their protocol dictated to protect the child at all costs, and letting them go outside without an adult was contrary to programming. And even if they did get home safely, who would look after them later?
