July 2024 - In my garden. Nature is fascinating. I love seeing close-ups. I should honestly buy a macro lens. None of them were dead. I did not kill any. I would never do that on purpose. The moth just decided to sit on my hand and go with the flow. About ten minutes later, it flew away. I think he had trouble flying because he got stuck in a spider web. I took it out and cleaned it a bit. 

The snail, well, nothing to say; just decided to travel across my face. For some reason. And I did not mind. Why should I?

And yes, the mosquito. People kill them all the time. I get you, believe me, they can be very annoying. But I do not like killing things. So I do not. And come on, have you ever seen a mosquito full of blood? I have never, before! 

Last but not least. A toad. Got trapped somewhere in my garden and I got it out of there. I do not get why people are afraid of them. They are so cool.

This was inspired by my spotting a squirrel laying flat as a pancake in my backyard once and I thought something was wrong with it. I later learned this is what some animals do on a hot day to keep cool. So I imagine reptiles will do the same. They even call this behavior ‘Splooting’ and it makes me laugh every time I think or say that word. ☀️🦎🤣🤣🤣
