Follow Sparky the sheep as he finally manages to land a summer job. Unfortunately, it’s as a juggler at a carnival— and he’s terrified of clowns. Help guide him through his clown induced anxiety attack and get him to his act on time! And remember, balloons make clowns a lot less scary. At least for Sparky!

There’s music playing down the beach. Oscar doesn’t usually make it this far, has always turned back earlier in the desperate hope of falling asleep before the glaring red lines of his clock display 4:00. He’s kind of annoyed, honestly. Can’t even have a crisis in peace, he thinks, immediately irritated at his own dramatics. Oscar keeps walking. It’s not often his walks are interrupted by anything other than drunk teenagers, though that’s probably still the case here. Hey kids, got any career advice? Oscar snorts, shaking himself out of his thoughts, and stops.

The source of the music is clear. A beachside bar, full of flashing lights and not much else. There’s a man wiping down tables, warbling along enthusiastically to a song Oscar doesn’t recognize. Something too sad for the tiki bar themed plastic surrounding him.

Oscar raps his knuckles on the railing marking the edge of the bar. “Still open, or?”

The man startles, turning to look at Oscar. He runs a hand through his hair, somehow getting glitter in his wilting curls.

Oscar stifles a laugh.

“Can’t serve alcohol at this hour, but you can sit for a bit,” he says, clearly eyeing the bags under Oscar’s eyes. He goes back to his table, scrubbing at a sticky spot. “Not really the usual crowd, are you?”

Hey, so for the Human Au, how do think Julie would go about her life? Considering her personality in the website, I would think that he takes up different part-time jobs, but mainly likes working at the community center, mainly for the summer/after school programs where they can come up with and host fun activities for the kids!

no yeah that's pretty much what i was thinking! she bounces from job to job - she probably has a roster of seasonal ones that she rotates between. Julie really does seem like an every-gal yk? doing just one thing all the time would be soooo boring

i like the idea of summer / after school programs a lot actually! since canon Julie is big on games and fun, i'm sure she'd be a great choice for those sorts of things. i bet she works a seasonal summer camp in their county!

Summer job au my love ❤️

My dear @f1-birb has taken writing this because I didn't have time to dedicate to it and she's written some amazing pieces for it but I'm sure she won't mind me jumping in with something for this au!

It was warm out still despite the stars being visible up above them.

There was only one light on in the house coming from their parents' bedroom. Lando knew that they probably weren't asleep yet. In fact, he wouldn't be surprise to look up and find their Papa peaking out the window to check on them. It didn't matter that they were eighteen and off to university soon, their Papa would always be looking out for them.

Max was lying beside him in the grass. His arms crossed behind his head, eyes fixed on the stars. He looked peaceful for the first time in weeks now that their exams were over.

Looking at him just reminded Lando of just how different he and his twin were because while Max was relaxed, Lando's anxiety was running rampant as he thought about the date circled on the family calender on the fridge.

In two weeks, Lando would move out for university. Somehow, he was the first to be leaving, and that terrified him as he looked at Max because in two weeks, his twin wouldn't be a room away from him anymore. He wouldn't be just down the hall or in another classroom. He'd be a train ride away.

"I can hear your thoughts from here, Lando", Max hummed softly l, turning his head to look at the other with a frown, "What's wrong?"

Lando hesitated for a moment. He brought his fingers to his lips, but Max caught his wrist before Lando could start to bite at his nails. He squeezed it softly, like he always did when Lando was anxious.

"You're not going to be a room away anymore"

That was all Lando could get out, and all he needed to before Max was sitting up. His twin pulled Lando up with him and just looked at him for a moment before he held out his pinky to Lando the way he always did when they were kids.

"Lando, I will be a text or call away. I know it's going to be...different and hard, but I'm still going to see you all the time", Max promised with a soft smile, "We'll make plans with the group, with Dad and Papa, with Pierre and Charles. You call me, and I'm there, yeah?"

Lando nodded softly. The balk of anxiety that had taken residence in his stomach unravelled a little as he wrapped his pinky around his twins.

"And you know what?", Max continued, twisting their hand a little to press their thumbs together with their pinky's still linked, sealing the promise, "I'm scare too. It's a big change but I know that if I call you, you'll be there"

"Of course I will", Lando promised because it was true. He'd be there in a heartbeat if Max ever called him, "You can never get rid of me"

Max grinned as they unlocked their pinky's and threw his arm around the others shoulder. He pulled Lando close, and Lando let him. He wrapped his own arms around Max in a loose hug.

"Wouldn't want to", Max snorted softly with a smile, "Except for that one time I tried to post you back to the hospital when you broke my toy. I really wanted to then"

Lando couldn't stop the laughter from bubbling up as he shoved Max off him. His twin sprawling back down on the grass with a laugh as he stared at Lando.

"Fuck you, I was four"

"So was I, but I didn't break your toy, now did I?"

"No, you just put me in a box and told me I was going on an adventure"

Huge vent

Yesterday was the welcome thing for the beginning of the school year, only from 15h to 16h30. Still managed to end up late. Nothing to do either, just sit there and listen to the explanation of how the year is gonna go. Still came back home EXHAUSTED

First day of school and I'm already an hour late

They also said that if we come late, the teachers aren't gonna let us in

So now I'm just frozen, sitting on my chair after finally managing to prepare, with no idea on if i waste the little energy i have going to school in the heat only to not be let in

But they also said they'd do that last year, and they never did. So maybe they're not doing it again and I'm just wasting time when they would let me in

I don't know and that's the problem

And even if i can, the mental image of everyone in class turning to stare at me and judge while i enter in the middle of the class, because i spent more than half of last year being hours late if not straight up missing "for no reason" is too much (because this country has dog shit psychology knowledge that has been studied to be around 50 years late, and they know nothing about invisible disabilities. Not like I'd ever even tell them. This class sucks in all minorities fronts)

But also I'm literally already thousands of euros in debt for this damn school and every class i miss is money wasted
