The variety of the Es

GUYS, FOR ANY CUTE DUMDUM WHO READ THE MILGRAM NOVELS -SPOILERS ALERTS- In the first Milgram Novel, some of the characters were dead Pre-Milgram (E.g: the warden, Es (really, MILGRAM???), Real Name: Kogami Sumi and her stalker that I wish went off) and they're all connected to the warden in a sense of they are associated with her directly or indirectly (through someone else, totally not looking at prisoner of self-pleasure) In the 2nd Milgram Novel, all the prisoners have a common theme of Justice (with the warden, Es, real name: Himori Touchi, who wanna do for others what Sumi did for him (so in a sense of justice too, maybe?)) So what do Es (they/them Es) and the prisoners of the Musical project have in common other than you cannot judge their actions in Black-and-White rigid thinking? And in Novel MILGRAM, the 1st one, everyone who has forgotten their memories were associated with one person...but cannot be said the same for the 2nd Novel because everyone has their memories. But for MUSICAL Project Es, who forgot...has to be associated with someone's crime if it was like the Novel. My only question is who...?

MILGRAM: The Prison Experiment and the Maiden Jailer

MILGRAM2: Justifiable Righteous Murder

1st Novel Summary

The amnesiac protagonist, Es, wakes up in a large room that’s illuminated by a cold white light. She follows a jackalope, names Jackie, that tells her to get up. She then tells Es that her memories are hidden away and she will have to judge 5 murders to regain her memories. Each prisoner has a “Book of Sins” attached to their wrist that will open when they are ready for judgement. 

At the end, it’s revealed that all of the prisoners are connected through someone named Kogami Sumi, who is Es, and is in purgatory. And than Sumi gets judged by a new Jackalope. 

The structure of the Panopticon dates back to the 18th century

Milgram exists as a stepping stone to build a new judicial system

2nd Novel Summary

The novel starts with Touchi and Sumi hanging out. The next day, she dies. 

Touchi wakes up and is now the new guard of MILGRAM. He immediately accepts the role and the new jackalope, Jacka, explains that now prisoners will have their memories. All of the prisoners are connected again. Mako decides to throw a welcome party for Touchi and during it, she mentions an idea called “Justifiable Righteous Murder”. After, Jacka says that the books will open every other day.

Later, it’s revealed that “Justifiable Righteous Murder” is part of a group on social media called the “Justice Alliance” and Mako is the head of it. Touchi let's the prisoners decide the verdicts of the others. During the first intermission, it’s revealed that Jacka hates his job. During the next intermission, it’s revealed that Jackie escaped. 

At the end, Jacka offers Touchi the escape to the outside world as long as Jacka and Touchi can be partners. He agrees and they leave. 

Between each chapter, Jacka turns into a human to smoke.

The invisible forcefield isn’t active all the time and Jacka has to activate it.

Jackalopes do not necessarily approve of Milgram.

Unlike Novel 1, everyone has their memories.

SMOKING 2

With a lit cigarette in my mouth, I walk down the bleak, white corridor of the facility. The verdict of Rina and Mei could have gone either way, so the outcome wasn’t particularly surprising. What was surprising was that Himori Touchi left his final judgment to his emotions. After the trial ended, I asked him what he based his decision on. He told me what he was thinking before making his verdict slowly as if he was trying to organize his thoughts. He seems to have changed a lot from the time he was evaluated to be unfeeling and indifferent towards others. Influenced by regaining the memory of his crimes and Kogami Sumi, who completed her role as Warden Es, he faced Tatsumi’s death. The intense experience in MILGRAM must have caused Touchi to grow rapidly. His use of logic and emotions to make a judgment makes him an ideal person. …I hope he can be successfully recruited. “Oi.” A man’s voice calls out of nowhere. I hadn’t noticed initially as I was lost in thought, but in front of me, right down at the end of the hallway, an arrogant man was leaning against the wall; my boss. “What’s wrong? You look displeased.” “You shouldn’t smoke that sort of stuff here,” the boss pointed to my cigarette.  I had no choice but to put it out on the portable ashtray I was carrying and throw the cigarette butt into it. “Huh. There’s no rule that says you can’t smoke, though.” “Of course there isn’t. There isn’t anyone who tries to smoke except for you. There’s plenty of legal substances that are more harmless and give greater pleasure. Well- I don’t do any of that since I’m always satisfied.” “You’re having the most fun when you’re pursuing ‘aesthetics’ in MILGRAM anyway, don’t you?” “Don’t just sum it up with a simple word like ‘fun’. This job is incredibly ambitious and endlessly fascinating. It’s almost intoxicating. Anyways, how is Himori Touchi doing?” “I’ve reported that the proceedings are going well, didn’t I?” “That’s not what I’m talking about. What I’m worried about is his presence causing some strange issues. He shouldn’t be there in the first place. There will be no impact on the future of the trials.” “...Hm, that’s fine then. Whatever you say. You’re number two here anyway— second only to me. I have no intention of doubting your work.” A moment of silence passed through the hallway. It seems that my boss’ business was over.  “By the way, the topic of the previous Jackalope often comes up with Himori Touchi. What happened to her?” I asked on a whim. The boss sighed. “We caught the vessel, but the [contents] escaped. She was in a different facility so we weren’t able to get there fast enough. It’s infuriating.” “Is that so?” I’d thought that she’d been disposed of but I was glad to hear that she managed to escape. The boss is clearly frustrated, but inwardly I laugh softly to myself. Serves you right. “Well then, I’d better get back to work.” I gave a slight nod before leaving my boss and heading to my own workroom.  MILGRAM was by no means a monolith. Knowing that made me feel so much better.
