Shimshimmeryshimmer, I’m assuming this is from the unique one cool?
1) Put your iTunes on shuffle. Give me the first 6 songs that pop up.:
Of All The Gin Joins In All The World - Fall Out BoyLeonard Goes Home - Blake NeelyCap’s Promise - Henry JackmanLondon 2166/Set a Course - Blake NeelyAn Innocent Warrior - Vai Mahina, Sulata Foai-Amiatu & Matthew IneleoBe Free - Zayde Wolf
3) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 23, give me line 17.
(Is coming is coming is coming aboard?) - Gathering of Shadows V.E. Schwab
13) What is your greatest weakness; your greatest strength?
I don’t know how to ‘people’ I’m terrible at human interaction. I even suck at talking to my friends and family….so I’m’a go with that for greatest weakness. Greatest strength we’ll go with I’m pretty good at identifying/naming movies and music and remember random movie trivia and whatnot.
15) How do you vent your anger?
it depends. Sometimes I just ignore it. Sometimes I write it out or turn it into writing a violent scene or something. Sometimes I just turn bitter and revert to passive aggressive sass. Sometimes I chat/rant. *shrugs*
16) Do you have a collection of anything?
I have way too many collections TBH. Old movie tickets, hats, scarfs, key chains, funko pops, comics, leaves…pens…old concert tickets, books…I collect a lot of stuff…
17) Are you happy with the person you’ve become?
…not really…no. I kinda suck.
18) What’s a sound you hate; sound you love?
I hate yelling. Just hate it. Hate hate hate it. I love the sound of an acoustic guitar…
22) Smell the air. What do you smell?
I can’t really smell anything…
40) Are you the kind of friend you would want to have as a friend?
…Maybe? I’m not sure. Its possible
44) In your opinion, what makes a great relationship?
No clue. I have zero idea. I’m sorry I fail.
49) Give me the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “heart.”
currently its the “you’re breaking my heart” line from revenge of the sith cause I just watched it…
51) What is your current desktop picture?
It Reverb.
54) You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what’s even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What is that power?
Stuck between shape shifting, telekinesis and teleportation…one of those three.
58) You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?
Hmm, I’m go with Disneyworld cause I just wanna go there again.

MUSIC MONDAY: An Innocent Warrior – Vai Mahina, Sulata Foai-Amiatu, Matthew Ineleo
It has been a great Presidents’ weekend! I have to admit these long weekends are something to get used to. Saturday was spent with friends, Sunday just us two, and Monday with family. It was a well spent quick vacay… AND I BECAME OBSESSED WITH MOANA.

I know the movie came out last year, but we didn’t get the chance to watch it in theatres. So when Roku loaded it in their streaming…

Music of the Month: January 2017
It’s a few days into February already, but better late than never? I thought it would be cool to give a little monthly recap of the things I listen to. Thanks to the wonders of on-demand streaming, I’m listening to more music than ever, and hey, it’ll be cool to click a tag and look back at tunes that stood out to me over the year or so. Plus, it just gives me a natural means to share what I like with people, and what’s Tumbr all about anyway? Just as a few notes, (a) I’m just an avid music fan, not a serious/objective critic, (b) any lists I make are in no particular order unless specified, and (c) I’m basing this on music that’s new to me, and it may not necessarily be a new release, but with that out of the way, let’s talk:
Album of the Month: Know-It-All (Deluxe) by Alessia Cara
I really enjoyed Alessia’s single “Here, and once I heard her singing “How Far I’ll Go” during the credits to Moana, I knew I had to check out more of her stuff. To make a long story short, I was thoroughly impressed! Like “Here,” Alessia’s overall sound treads that nice line between retro and modern; it’s this really funky pop mix with some quality ballads thrown in there for good measure. It seemed like every song was just as good as the last, but the tracks that particularly stood out to me were “Four Pink Walls,” “Stone,” and “Overdose.” Like Lorde, her songs seem very authentic and relatable; they may not be super perky, but sometimes, you just need some bluntness and wit in your life. Unlike Lorde, though, Alessia’s songs are a little sweeter and show a bit more vulnerability, which helped me connect better to what she was singing. The tone in her voice is also very warm and endearing, and that certainly helped with that feeling of authenticity. I just felt great after finishing the album, and I’m excited to see how far she’ll go from here. Also, she’s the musical guest on SNL tonight and I am pretty pumped to see what she can do live!
...and now we move on to...
5 Great Songs from this month:
“Agape” by Bear’s Den
I found this on a “If You Like Mumford and Sons” playlist, which says a lot about it already. There’s a definite folk-rock vibe, the vocal harmonies are top-notch, and the mood is incredibly raw. It’s a heartache-y ballad with a very upfront message which is very easy to connect to. The lyrics alone hit hard too; the opening line “Agape, please don’t dissipate” got me hooked right in, and I just wanted to keep listening until the end. It may be sad, but it’s beautiful in that way.
“In My Dreams” by Ruth B
Remember “Lost Boy” from this past summer? If you liked it, you’ll probably like Ruth B’s newer single. Instead of the Peter Pan allusion, the topic at hand this time is love at first sight, and it fits fantastically. The story is less about rushing into love and more about an innocent first impression; it’s that cute kind of love ballad! It’s also clear in addition to “Lost Boy” that Ruth B has a true way with words, but the fuller sound in “In My Dreams” is a bit more lovely and shows that she can do some great things.
“Viper” by Henri Green
I found this by chance in my recommended section of SoundCloud, and boy am I glad I didn’t pass it up! It’s a classic “be careful with that person you’re dating” song and it has a whole lot of attitude. Henri’s voice is stellar, the piano part transitions really well between the legato verses and the energetic, sassy choruses, and the lyrics are incredibly blunt. There’s a great, emotional story being told, and it works so well musically. Her other material is great too, and has a lot of variety if you want to check it out: https://soundcloud.com/henrigreen
“Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran
Do I like Ed Sheeran? Yes. Am I excited for (divide)? Heck yes. Did I stay up past midnight to listen to Ed’s two new singles the night they dropped? Oh, heck yes, and it was beautiful! “Shape of You” is pretty good too, but “Castle” immediately blew me away. The sound just hits you straight in the emotions, and the story behind it was moving too. It made me think of my own set of people who “raised me” and all the memories I made with them, and everybody loves nostalgia. If (divide) has more songs like this, I’m going to be one happy camper come March 3.
"An Innocent Warrior" by Vai Mahina, Sulata Foai-Amiatu & Matthew Ineleo
You may know this as the song from Moana that plays when little Moana gets “chosen” by the ocean. That being said, I may be slightly biased because that was visually my favorite part of the movie, but this song is just as pretty, and that’s the only word I can use to describe it; it’s just so pretty. The backing chords set a peaceful mood, and then the soloists have this sweet melody with some even sweeter harmonization. It’s like the musical equivalent of a hug; it calms you down and feel warm inside, and that’s exactly what you want from anything off a Disney soundtrack!
So there you have it! This is the format I want to go with for the immediate future, but it’ll probably be pretty flexible. For now, I recommend you check all of these out if they sound up your alley, and I hope to have another list like this ready for the beginning of March. Happy listening!
