a moash trait I don't really hear people talk about is how much the guy will just. ask questions.

he's confused on why kaladin picked him to be a subsquad leader when he had been most vocally resistant to kaladin? he stops and asks him immediately. rock's story doesn't make sense to him? he interrupts to ask about it. fused are acting weird? he just walks up and asks to see a supervisor. dude will always stop to ask questions if something is confusing to him

Fae's Guide to the Weekly Strike Mission: Voice of the Fallen and Claw of the Fallen aka how to make things easier for yourself and your party members.

Firstly, the weekly strikes reset on Monday, the same time that guild missions reset, raids reset, key runs reset. So come Monday we'll have a new boss to fight. That being said, thought I'd doot up a little guide to this one to spread around the Tumblrverse :)

Before you think about hitting up that LFG

🧸 Get your Bjora Marches masteries. They're not essential for the fight, but you'll want them for getting the loot. If you don't have them, then please bring a whole bunch of CC.

🧸 You may see some groups asking for certain requirements like classes or DPS benchmarks, if you can do that, great. If not, form your own group. I see plenty of people in strikes going “hey this is my first time” and people go “cool. Make sure you do XYZ”

Squad up!

🧸 Form up with a squad rather than the public version, use LFG, announce it in map chat. Split the squad into two groups or move yourself into subsquad and prod others to do the same. One group will focus the Claw, the other will focus the voice. You can call a target on your boss then and it wont interrupt what the other subsquad is doing (as target calls are for the subsquad). Prior to the fight agree which subsquad is taking which boss.

🧸 When you enter the instance, beat up the Pylon that's in front of you til you have 30 charges of the buff. This will make things hurt less, also the fully charged buff means you can use your special skill (the thing that pops up above your skills) when the bosses team up for their double attack. You'll know when to use it.

🧸 The bosses will need to die pretty much the same time as each other, otherwise after a moment the survivng one will enrage and you're gonna have a bad time that ends with a dirt nap.

On to the fight!

🧸 Target your boss and focus that boss. 🧸 Stay out of the red. The red will hurt you. Save your dodges for getting out of the red. In particular there's red bars that form a path that are pretty ouchy, and then there's like a sea of red. Both of those will kill you very very quickly, so stay on your toes! If you’re downed, you can be revived. If you’re dead-dead, you can’t be revived and you can’t use rez orbs. At the end of the fight you’ll have the option to respawn. 🧸 Your boss is going to teleport and flip around a lot, just chase after him and keep up the DPS. 🧸 During the fight the two will team up. Your mastery skill will flash up at this point, mash it to break the break bar. If you don't have the mastery, unload all your CC. 🧸 Rinse and repeat 'til dead. If you're running a bit slow then you'll have to deal with the double-team attack again, but just treat it the same as the first time. 🧸 Again, remember to kill the bosses at the same time, if you need to help the other team, then do so, just say something in /say or squad /d

And you're done!

🧸 Open your chests (again, if you have the mastery). There's no special loot to this fight other than Eternal Ice Shards and the Eltrite Ingots, so don't be expecting anything fancy like the Chilly Chaise of the Ebon Vanguard shoulders. Just keep doing the Grathmar Strike for those ones :)
