I bought myself breakfast over the weekend, and it came with a hashbrown in one of those little paper sleeves. After eating the hashbrown, I crumpled up the sleeve and tossed it on the table to throw out when I was done the sandwich.

No sooner had I made the toss than my cat had leapt up, grabbed it, and run down the hall to play with it.

He's taken to bringing it to me to toss for him to chase. He grabs it, and returns it to me to toss again.

Yes, I'm playing fetch with my cat.

(Sometimes he comes back without the paper, and I give him some scritchies while telling him how silly he is.)

But yeah, other Inktober pics may just be sketches or lineart (or maybe fully colored, we’ll see!). I have an idea I really want to do for day 4 (Exotic), so I intend on still doing that one next!

I always see people say that they got a puppy from a breeder because theyll know the temperament and it wont be reactive/agressive, while saying any dog you get from the shelter will be reactive or unpredictable... but 90% of the people ive seen online with reactive dogs are "well bred" dogs from a breeder, and the owner is anti rescue/shelter

#this is a very over simplification of reactivity in dogs and what causes it!! i know its not all genetics #but its still weird to say that a shelter/rescue animal will be agressive just bc you dont know its history and that a breeder dog is better #when it can happen to literally any dog. like yeah maybe its a lower chance but still #like with my rats i got convinced into going to a breeder for the two i got to be friends with my rescue boy bc theyd be better or somth #but the one was so agressive and attacked both me and my rescue boy #and the other was so nervous and bitey #but my feeder rat who lived in a hamster cage by himself? sweetest baby ever #Basically you cant just completely say that one animal is going to 100% be worse just because it was rescued #i also wont demonize breeding dogs but i do think people mainly go to one because they just want a cute puppy not because they actually want #that type of dog and cant actually provide what it needs to be mentally well #like you cant take an aussie and expect it to be a house dog #that dog needs a job #idk i have a lot of opinions on this subject

What was Ayem's pet name for Meri and vice versa?

Meri doesn’t use any for Almalexia at all as a respect thing. She still reveres Almalexia as a god and doesn’t feel it’s her place to give her pet names. They use Ayem and Meht as familiar nicknames, and Almalexia is the only one who calls Meri by her full name (Meridian).

Almalexia has a few pet names for Meri, all vaguely referencing some kind of ownership or possession lol. My star (referencing Meri being the Nerevarine. Meri doesn’t like this one but would never say so.), pet, and (my) little scrib being the main ones.

#the scrib one is subject to change if I think of an animal I like better🤔#but I like scrib. theyre small cute and seemingly helpless until they fucking paralyze you.#granted they are still pretty helpless but idk I like to imagine them more agile less likely to just sit there and let you beat on them #and to be fair. He can't handle his boss aka Herta, but he loves playing with peppy.

He prefers to remain inconspicuous to not disturb the researchers working- blending in the shadows.

Loves to play with Peppy.

...This is like me about 70% except for being a good example to his coworkers.

IF I EVER RP ARLAN, I WOULD BE PLAYING WITH PEPPY 24/7 (Not really, but my love for cute things aka Peppy and Diting is just too strong).

Honestly, I hate how I think I can easily RP Arlan with no effort here. We are pretty similar in a way. We would work, pet doggos, work, and make sure no one gets into trouble/hurt.
