▽ I think both Emmet and Ingo have similar, yet different music playlists. Not too similar that you can’t tell the two playlists apart but different enough that you can guess who’s is who’s

▲ they play “ childish” games to decide things. A game of tag through the out of service subway tracks for fun. A staring contest to see who has to take out the trash. Rock Paper Scissors to decide what they if they are cooking or ordering for dinner that night.

▽ under Emmet or Ingo’s giant cuff of a jacket sleeve, you can find a bracelet that Elesa made for them. They are friendship bracelet.

▲ continueing on the beaded friend ship bracelets, When Emmet stims by waving his hands, you can hear the beads clinking off each other. Emmet loves that sound and will probably do that stim to hear that sound.

▽ when Ingo got poofed to hisui, that bracelet confused him as he had never met a Emmet or an Elesa. So he correctly assumed that they were some important people and kept that bracelet very safe tucked into his inside coat pocket or in a satchel.

▲ they have their own language they created when they were tiny train conducters and still use it today to talk over the radios about anything from trainers to watch out for to where something was.

▲ Elesa and the twins will hang out when ever they have free time. Watching shows, vibing, going out to a cafe or just hanging out in the park

Elesa has a photo on her phone of a off the clock ingo sitting next to emmet on the floor smiling as they watch a movie. Did she tell ingo that she deleted it? Yes. Did she? Nope, that photo is her most prized possession.

▲ when Ingo and Emmet cook together, it’s most likely gonna be a disaster. Not the food, the food would be amazing. The kitchen and themselves on the other hand, would be dirty from flour on the boys faces and hair to unused food on the counter and ceiling. How did that happen? Idk ask them

▽ Elesa #1 fan and #2 fan. They are at most if not all of her shows and constantly tune into her shows and talk show interviews to support her. They would probably be hiding in the crowd wearing merch, not stealing the limelight from their friends.

▲ if they aren’t hanging out with Elesa, it’s their Pokémon they hang out with. Training them, cleaning their poke balls, playing fetch, anything under the sun really.

▽ how do they train if they are both really tough trainers? I hear you asking. Simple, they battle each other to train. In the middle of the battle they’ll shout to each other things to change and what to work on or just some encouragement like “ I’m gonna kick you butt Emmet!” Or “Your not gonna win this one Ingo!” Ya know, encouraging things to say to your brother.

▲ I think because of Emmet love for Julticks, he would be immune to Paralyze because of their static electricity. It feels like a jolt you get when you rub your socks on the carpet and touch the TV.

▽ because of Ingo’s warden job, he has become immune to poison as well. It took a bit for him to become immune, but he got there eventually.

▲ one of them is mildly allergic to peanuts. Do they remember who is allergic to peanuts? Nope, so they both don’t eat them just incase.

▽ I believe their started Pokémon to be a litwick and a Jultick respectful. They absolutely adore their starters and never took them off their team when building their teams and actually built them around their starters so they never have to trade them out.

Emmet Mystery Dungeon AU

Well I’ve fallen ass backwards into hyperfixating on the Submas twins (FUCKING THANKS YOSUKE, EMMET I COMPLETELY BLAME YOU TWO!) To the point I have competing AU’s and this is the one I feel like sharing and am tentitivally writing a story for. I’m on chapter 2 and I have shit planned out WAAAAAAAY out.

The Twins where actually together when they where taken, but they got split and ended up with themselves and their memorys Scattered. Ingo ended up as canon back in time in Hisui.

Emmet got sent to an entirely different space in one of the Mystery Dungeon worlds. Juuuuust as the Arceus of that world noticed things where going wrong and had plucked a human soul from a world without Pokemon to fix it. While the God was puzzled by the extra human he pretty much shrugged ‘Oh well having two can’t hurt’ and put them down in the same place transforming them both into Pokemon.

Emmet: Is a Galvantula, is very confused about what happened and searching for answers. Emmet can recall facts about his past life better then Ingo can, but missing all the context and unless it touches on a deeply personal memory without the emotions. For example upon seeing a pokemon he can typically rattle off facts about it. but has no idea how he knows those things.  Emmet is however very aware he’s missing *someone* and feeling their absence like a wound in his side. Overtime the pain fades but he never stops glancing to the side expecting *someone* to be there and is saddened when he sees no one.

Bonnie: The human Arceus actually intended on putting through the wringer, comes from a world without pokemon and other then some fuzzyness around her memorys just before coming to the Pokemon world *doesn’t* have amnesia. Transformed into a Jangamo-o. Is very nervous and suspicious of Emmet when they first meet. Literally the only reason she trusts he used to be human is that he mentioned it first, and the constant train references, even if Emmet seems to lock up and not know when asked anything specific. Eventually warms up to him and bonds very tightly with him.....I know the going vibe is ‘Uncle Emmet and Ingo’ but I give you....Father Emmet, Father Ingo and their two daughters who think the other one is the cool uncle. Comes from a very neglectful homelife, to the point where she’s baffled by the easy affection Emmet gives her but latches onto it and him for dear life. Get’s a grey hat matching Emmet’s and never takes it off. Later down the line after evolving she and Emmet get coats matching the style of Emmet’s Subboss coat with her’s in grey.

Thinking about FaW Akari getting internet access and realizing a lot of stuff is similar/the same as her home world. Twitter still exists, Tumblr still exists, Facebook has been blown off the face of the world because there can only be so many hellsites...

She joins Twitter & Tumblr to get a better feel for how the pokemon earth works, learning by immersion instead of formal lessons and equating things to what she knew. She does end up dropping some vague knowledge about Ingo and Emmet which leads people to believe she's another fan which is funny up until someone asks her about her thoughts on the "#subboss" tag which, she should have known better from the title. She innocently clicks on it, thinking it's a play on subway bosses (which it is) but oops. It's also a tag for people to thirst over her dad and uncle.

She can't help but doomscroll in horror. There's fanart. There's discreet pictures. There's fanfic. There are people comparing the size of the hands of her paternal figures and using that to calculate other sizes.

She replies with a "not my thing 😬" and can't make eye contact with Ingo or Emmet for the rest of the week. She DOES eventually admit what happened to Elesa, who promises not to tell but finds the whole thing horrifying and amusing, especially when Akari starts trying to make Ingo & Emmet wear more layers so people will stop trying to guess Sizes and Build.

▲ They both have each other’s merch! From plushies to shirts, they got it all! Why not rep your workplace as you get pokemon food at your local supermarket? They normally get subway merch for free since they are the bosses, but they do end up paying most of the time just to be polite.

▲ When these twins were tiny, they obviously got hurt but simple things like a scraped knee or paper cuts. So for some reason, no one could understand why when one got a scraped knee, the other got a scraped knee a few minutes late. It turns out the other one twin did not want the other twin to be alone on this very pressing matter.

▽ The only time an injury was shared by accident and not on purpose was their appendices self-destructing at the same time! No one can figure out why but it happened one day when they both fell ill. They both had the same symptoms so they thought they just had the flu. After calling Elesa, they were both taken to the hospital and now share a scar on their right sides.

▲ If Emmet were to go non verbal, Ingo is prepared. The battle subways are closed for the day and Emmet is taken away. His nonverbal mess is normally caused by stress or overwhelming feelings, so time for some comfort and words of encouragement! Blackest and pillows from Ingo’s desk draws are pulled out and the two. Watch videos on the couch in their office until Emmet is comfortable again. It’s common during this that they will communicate via Sign language as well.

▽ It’s more common to see Emmet go non verbal than Ingo, but it does happen. I imagine it would be a very rough day, and he just shut down. Not responding, eyes all hazy, just Already stuck in his head. Emmet saw this and did what Ingo does when this happens to him! He brought Ingo to their shared office space, got some snacks and water for Ingo and him to share, got out chandelure and galvantula and had a cuddle pile while watching some videos online. The battle trains were shut down that day, both of the subway bosses were out of commission that day.

▲ They try to at least take 2 or more break days every month, keeping track of how many they both have. It’s common for them to not use their break days though, overworking themselves. But Elesa normally steps in before that happens, taking them away from their work and taking them both to the amusement park for a day of rest and roller coasters.

▽ Speaking of the amusement park! Both twins get motion sickness but it’s triggered differently between them. Ingo’s deals more with circle motions, so Farris wheels or any spinny fast ride if off limits. For Emmet it’s fast rides in general or rides that make your stomach drop. Both do take common motion sickness medications for work but they don’t always work for amusement park rides.

▽ He tries his best to smile. I think he would do what Marnie does when she smiles, using his index fingers to move the corner of his mouth up into a smile. But sometimes, just sometimes, a genuine smile appears without the need for assistance.

▽ For both Ingo and Emmet, I picture them with funky pupils. So Ingo’s would be an upside down triangle [▽] for example.

▽ When he is excited about something or taking after his brother and being the chaos, he scrunches his nose up.

▽ He walks with his hands resting behind his back. It’s comfortable for him to walk like this, even if he trips he ends up face planting half the time because his arms were behind his back.

▽ Tea, he likes his tea very much so. It’s comforting to come home from a long day, hat on the hat rack and pour yourself a nice cup of tea to relax. His favorite has to be matcha tea.

▽ He knows sign language! It was when Emmet and him were tiny tiny. Emmet didn’t talk much, so Ingo did all the talking. But once finding out what sign language was he taught both himself and Emmet it. They both still use it a lot, especially during those times when you just don’t wanna talk yet still want the remote from across the table.

▽ Can’t dance. Look at this man and tell me ether of them knows how to dance.

▽ If emmet stims, does ingo? Yes! Just differently. While Emmet is more of a movement/Tactile/Visual stimming. Ingo has some Auditory stims like humming parts of songs, repeating himself (Bravo and Excellent are some common ones but he will say all board sometimes as well) or cracking his knuckles.

▽ Can’t control his volume very well. When he was tiny, I imagine people telling him he was talking too loud or to be more quiet or just shush him. Rude, he was excited to tell you that he got his first Pokémon battle win but now he won’t and he’ll go tell his twin instead.

▽ Knows how to knit/crochet! What else to do with down time on the battle subway than knit you and your Pokémon hats/scarfs. He knitted/ crocheted a small joltik for Emmet and himself a litwick.

▽ When Ingo hugs people, it's a bit awkward but still nice. He’ll definitely pat your head.

▽ He takes care of his Pokémon like they were his children. Playing with them and helping them when they get injured. He makes homemade treat’s specialized for each of his and Emmet's Pokémon.

▽ Sometimes he and Emmet switch pokeball by mistake. Not to worry though, if this does happen Ingo’s Pokémon will listen to Emmet and vise Versa.

▲ When he was younger he didn’t talk very much, ingo did that for him so why did he need to talk? When they did get older tho, emmet started to slowly talk, but still to this day ingo does the talking.

▲ Him and info still live in the same apartment together. They either have loft beds with desks underneath holding different things like Pokéballs or bunk beds. I can’t decide

▲ Knows how to sew/embroider! He embroiders a lot of his clothes (not his big coat and hat) in the down time on the battle subway/at home. So you can find him wandering the city with a Eelektross embroidered beanie or a small joltik on his shirt/sweater. Him and Ingo collaborate a lot on homemade gifts for their friends, so Elesa has a lot of homemade sweaters and embroidered things.

▲ When Ingo was gone in hisui, Emmet would sleep in Ingo’s bed and wear some of Ingo’s spare ties. Keeping little things on him to hold as a luck charm to keep Ingo close to Emmet. He would even make a pillow out of Ingo’s old shirts to make a pillow for himself so he can hug Ingo.

▲ Absolutely love to care for his pokemon. Will take days off if his pokemon are sick, take them to different places or just spends some time to clean them off in between battles

▲ Nuzzles his friends. He’ll either hug them and brush his cheek on the other person or completely take off his hat and nuzzle his hair into them. It means he likes you, don't worry

▲ Pick up hugs. He’ll pick you up and swing you a bit if you hug him, so fair warning in case you don't wanna be picked up ask Ingo for a hug.

▲ I think he would hide joltiks in his hat just in the off chance he can play with it. Because of this, the joltiks make him staticky and he’ll shock people by “accident”.

▲ Emmet also likes tea! But he likes sweeter teas like caramel or boba milk tea. You can see him carrying a boba for him and Ingo down Gear station during their breaks.

▲ For his stims, I think they would be more movement/Tactile/Visual stimming. So things like flapping his hands about, stomping/tapping his foot or jumping in place. When really excited, he’ll gently stomp about. When Emmet is laying down I think he would wag his foot about, kinda like a cat or dog tail.

▲ Emmet’s pupils would look like a triangle pointing up [▲]. I just like giving characters funky pupils.

▲ Emmet is the one to normally start the food fights they get into when cooking.

▲ He too, will scrunch up his nose when excited or being the chaos with Ingo.

▲ Emmet will prank the new hires at the gear station by pretending to be Ingo but after a while, they learn which is which but it takes a bit.

▲ Emmet is the one to keep track of their breaks and makes sure he and Ingo take care of themselves. Even if they both like working, they both need a pit stop every now and again.
