If your Subaru Impreza's tail lights stay on when the engine is off, don’t take it for granted. Common causes include a faulty brake light switch, wiring issues, a malfunctioning relay, or a faulty body control module (BCM). Inspect these components or consult a mechanic for effective fixes to ensure safety and prevent battery drain.

Moment of Awesome - Arthur Centino/Longshot:
When a night at a fight club event turns into fleeing the cops, Arthur reveals his real skills as a getaway driver.
"One-twenty? Kyle, my man, you should have led with that." Arthur's face, illuminated by the boring dash, broke into a fierce grin. It was a delicate balance managing the plasticy ergonomics of a Subaru, a horse not exactly designed for speed no matter what laid under the hood. The blonde man didn't let this fact stop him, however, as he hit the gas hard.
"Sarah. Can I call you Sarah?" This was almost casual as the man hit a turn sharply through a red light. Several other cars screeched behind them in protest in the wake of a suddenly upturned intersection. "I used to do this for a living."
His eyes were glowing now, face lit by his own lucky light, as he popped onto a curb to bypass some traffic piled up in front of them. By this point he had graduated from loosely following Sarah's directions to just shaking their tails.
Dramatically.
Oddly, though, there were no sounds of squealing metal from collisions or car wrecks.
"Where are we going?"
"There's a garage on Austin. If we can get there, the staff will cover for us. But I need you to listen to my directions, there's neighborhoods over here we definitely don't--shit!" She yelped and put a hand up against the dash to steady herself as the car unexpectedly took a turn. "Turn left!"
Kyle grunted as the car went left and he had the combined weight of America Chavez and Gabriel Cohuelo slide into him. "I suddenly understand people who get car sick..." He groaned. "I want pancakes after this."
Gabriel snorted as he tried to slide toward the other side of the car. "You're supposed to stare at a spot at the horizon, which is easier to do when—" He braced himself on the car door as Arthur made an abrupt lane change. "Well, you know."
For his part, Arthur turned his head completely to focus all of his attention on Sarah. "I am listening to only you. Lay it on me."
Now, this was still paired with an extremely sympathetic smile, but the fact that his eyes were most certainly glowing full tilt certainly made it eerie. Or the fact that he was also, right now, accomplishing a perfect 360 degree slide into a multi-lane road across a full lane of traffic. With his eyes half-locked on Sarah and most definitely not on the road.
His smile never broke as they straightened out and the tension ebbed. "Tell me where to go and we're there."

RIP Sir Percival the Steadfast Subaru Forester, 2001-2022
That car was old enough to drink. 247,000 miles. Get an oil change for the homie.
Anyway, I got in a wreck this afternoon. I was driving to pick up groceries. Traffic stopped about a block and a half before the light for whatever reason, so I stopped too. The guy behind me didn’t until it was too late. He slammed on the brakes and swerved, but still hit me hard enough to blow out the back window and push the rear quarter panel in about 6″. My passenger side tail, brake, and turn signal lights are demolished.
My only thought when I saw the truck coming was, “Welp. This is happening now. And then I got hit, we pulled into a parking lot and exchanged info, and went home and filed our claims. (And texted each other about it. Because we have each other’s numbers so I could send a screenshot of my insurance card)
I’m waiting to see how badly I hurt tomorrow. My wrist hurt enough to worry me earlier, but that is no longer a problem because edibles. I’m expecting to be sore, but if anything is exceptionally painful, I’ll go to urgent care or the ER.
I’m car shopping now. More accurately, Jay and I are car shopping. He’ll be driving in October. He’ll be driving on his own next April. And he’ll inherit that car. I’ve laid down a budget and a few rules: no sports cars, no vans, higher MPG is better. He’s laid down a few rules for me, too: no pickups, aux input is a must, gray and muted colors preferred.
So yeah. I’ll be yeeting sensible used Subarus and Toyotas and Hyundais his way, and then we’ll talk about them. (Hopefully tomorrow) I’ll test drive on Monday, and arrange payment by Saturday.
All while figuring out my disability claim.
And job hunting.
And if I have to go to urgent care, that’s another thing.

I’ve seen a few posts/memes now about how many anime/manga protagonists have done this “run off from the group” move recently, and in light of BNHA 306, I think it’s worth talking about!
The obvious comparison to be made is Sasuke, but I’ve seen others point out this has also happened with Natsu from Fairy Tail, Phos from HnK, and Hinata from HQ. Hinata seems to be a bit of an exception, as the reason he left was for training and to better himself, (I don’t know much about the case in FT as I dropped the series a long time ago) but I think making the comparison to Phos is interesting as it could be indicative of a new theme or trend in manga storytelling as a whole.
I’ve been thinking about things like this a lot more since I saw this post talking about how RWBY isn’t grimdark but hopepunk, and since BNHA is a shounen manga I doubt Deku running off is going to lead to a depressing or nihilistic story, as we know it’s going to have a happy ending (all of Deku’s narration about how this is the story of him becoming the number 1 hero), but at this point I don’t know what theme this might be referring to overall. While this chapter has certainly shocked a lot of us, I don’t think it’s as out of left field as our reactions make it seem (to an outsider watching us discuss it). We’ve known for a while that something was going to happen to change hero society, and with how much backlash U.A. had been getting and now with a city in shambles after the “heroes disappeared” during their failure to protect it, it would be very hard to have the kids go back to U.A. as normal and progress with the second year the same way as the first. There would be very limited storytelling in what could have been done with that sort of tone outside of internships, as anything like the sports festival would probably receive major backlash and I imagine without Deku there, the rest of the hero classes are going to be dealing with day in and day out harassment or press and the public crowding the gates in protest because the pushback against hero society is now so strong. And in the first place, we seem to have been leading up to this takedown or rework of society to begin with, as so many heroes have lost their quirk, but it doesn’t make any sense why they couldn’t keep working to begin with? (Ragdoll didn’t have a practical quirk for combat, both her and Mirio can still fight and do all their other hero duties but society says you NEED a quirk to legally be a hero). But that sort of society rework is a whole separate theme to discuss on it’s own.
Feel free to add onto this post! I’m still collecting my thoughts but am mainly trying to think of if there is a specific theme that a lot of manga is using in their storytelling, as Phos went to the moon for the truth, Deku has gotten the truth and is going to save people- in a way it’s a weird Ship of Theseus idea of change I think. With Phos it’s a literal Ship of Theseus metaphor, but with Deku it’s just that he’s been through so many revelations in such a short time he is a fundamentally different character now. Jaded, burdened with secrets that isolated him from others, it’s similar to how in Re:Zero Subaru is so alone because he is physically unable to tell anyone about his struggles and therefore no one can ever truly empathize or understand what he’s going through. Deku leaving the letter is sad, but in a way it’s also a hopeful change. He told others about his quirk, he isn’t alone anymore. People will likely join him in the next few chapters, or I could even see everyone going after Deku and dragging him back, as now that he’s not alone anymore they could say something about how they don’t care about him being a target or how they all could get hurt because of him, they just don’t want him to be alone. Because that too is becoming a glaring issue, as Deku shared info so he wasn’t alone anymore, but then left and isolated himself, and Bakugou told him in the last arc to “stop fighting alone” (paraphrasing), so we know that’s a statement that’s going to come back soon.

Out Tonight (Part 5)
<- Part 4 | Part 6 ->
Summary: It’s been 24 hours since you woke up next to a panicked Rafael Barba who turned out to have been much drunker than you thought. Despite the blame and confusion, there remained a primal attraction that led you to decide to try a (sober) date. Was this a terrible idea? Do you have anything in common besides drunk karaoke?
This was supposed to have smut but it’s just a date XD Smut next time! Soon!
3,431 words
Drunk. He must have still been drunk that morning. There was no other explanation for his wildly impulsive, juvenile decision to accept a date with you after that fiasco of a morning, waking up in your hotel with zero memory of what was almost certainly an even bigger fiasco of a night.
But he had agreed to it. Given you the address of his favorite coffee spot that didn’t have wheels. Set a time. It seemed childish to back out on you at the last minute just because he’d had twenty-four hours to sober up and think about his life choices. And so, Rafael Barba stood outside, leaning near the door out of the way of foot traffic, impatiently glaring at the minute hand of his watch.
At least it was only breakfast. Nothing exciting in the history of the universe had ever happened this early in the morning. Everyone in the relatively small Sunday crowd seemed too tired to be here. He would show up for one bleary-eyed date like an adult, make sure you were still alright, and, assuming your story hadn’t changed—that you hadn’t remembered something traumatic he’d forgotten he’d done—you could both part ways with a clear conscience.
***
The GPS on your phone indicated you were at the corner of the street you needed to turn down. There would be no going back if you turned that corner—the cafe was just a few doors down. You almost turned around and walked back to your hotel, but before you could leave, you saw him. Across the street, under the awning of the cafe, a short, well-dressed man radiating authority stood checking his watch with the words “Why the hell did I agree to this?” creased into his brow. You recognized that expression from your own face and almost laughed, only holding it in because you didn’t want to be that crazy person laughing to herself in the middle of a crowd.
His handsomeness had not been an illusion of the drink and low lights of the bar, you realized as you crossed the street. He was really fucking handsome. He wore another stylish and expensive suit, a colorful blue-striped tie, and you assumed suspenders under the jacket, and his dark hair was groomed with precision to the side.
By the time you were close enough to hear his voice calling out to greet you, you remembered kissing him, and how solid his chest felt when your arms were wrapped around him. A flush of heat warmed the base of your spine, and suddenly you were glad you had made this date after all.
Barba was not so sure. Not at first.
He wasn’t certain he would even recognize you in a crowd, but the moment you turned the corner, he spotted you. Your face was permanently stamped into his memory, right along with the time he wet the bed at a sleepover in second grade and the waitress to whom he’d replied “you too” after she told him to enjoy his meal.
The first thing he noticed was that your clothes were not as nice as he perceived when he was drunk. What little memory he had of karaoke painted you as a perfect goddess of seduction, with legs that went on for miles, wearing couture woven by angels out of dewdrops. Even in your disheveled state the morning he could remember, he had maintained a lofty impression of your image, or what he imagined it would be when you cleaned up. But the cute little sundress swishing around your knees as you crossed the street was not designer. It looked nice on you, but was more comfortable, practical, and a bit hippie-chic. You were even wearing a backpack instead of a purse. Your whole aesthetic was woefully down-to-earth. Like a Subaru. You were the Subaru of people.
Yet, even his unfortunate habit of judging people based on their clothing couldn’t dull the spark he felt when you drew close enough to smell your shampoo and look into your bright eyes. He couldn’t help feeling irrationally protective when those bright eyes froze as you stood in front of him, almost spreading your arms for a hug, then almost extending a hand, and then staring like a panicked deer that wandered into Times Square.
“Good to see you,” he smiled, pressing your shoulder amicably, sparing you from the decision.
***
After a short wait in line to order your latte and croissant sandwich, Barba squeezed into one of the tiny seats at one of the tiny tables in front of the window, and you squeezed in next to him. It was such a tight fit, your shoulders almost touched every time you lifted the mug to your lips, and your legs bumped accidentally amid stammered, awkward apologies.
“So...” you began, and your voice sounded far away, like you were trapped deep inside your own skull operating levers to make yourself speak. And you had nothing planned after “so,” and nothing came to you organically, so even though it was a trite, over-used question, you sputtered out, “How have you been?”
“Not bad,” he replied, just as stiffly rote. “You?” The boilerplate question sparked a deeper concern, and he twisted in his seat to grab your eye contact under a furrowed brow, and asked more seriously, “Are you OK?”
Your cheeks burned. He must have noticed how weird and nervous you were and thought there was something wrong with you. “I-I’m fine!” you squeaked.
His brows stayed wrinkled with worry. He lowered his voice. “If you… remembered anything. Anything painful. Something you need to work out, to process… report? I want you to know I will support anything you need to do. If I hurt you, I will do whatever it takes to make it right.”
“Oh!” You nearly spilled your drink. “No, no! God. Nothing like that. Just… embarrassment. Shame. I mean, if anyone should be angry or need to process stuff, it’s you. That was all my fault.”
He breathed a little sigh and his shoulders relaxed. He nodded to himself and turned back to his coffee. With a sideways glance and a sly smirk, he added, “You know, you shouldn’t incriminate yourself in front of a prosecutor.”
You were pretty sure he was joking, but your laugh was tight and high in your throat, and your palms began to sweat.
“Actually—” you reached into a pocket and pulled out your phone, “Tengo unos fotos… if it will help you remember?”
He stopped mid-sip, set the mug back down on the narrow shelf of a table, then coughed into his fist. A near spit-take. “What do you mean, you have photos? Qué tipo de fotos? Muéstramelas.”
Barba had forgotten, or didn’t care, that your Spanish wasn’t terrifically fluent and made his demand at a rapid, clipped pace. Fortunately, your first instinct was to show him.
It was a good thing he had already set down his coffee, because his eyes went wide, and he choked on the air. Picture after picture of him red-faced and disheveled, most of them with a wolfish grin and his hands all over you. He still had on his tie and the grey peppering his temples was evident, and you looked so young and innocent you could almost be mistaken for underage in the soft lighting. The angle of the selfie drew attention to your cleavage. You flipped back once more, and a crackle of tinny audio burst from the phone speakers as a shaky video of Barba singing the tail end of One Song Glory began to play. “Shit,” you cursed, and muted it.
“Delete that,” he croaked, raking his fingers down his face. “God, this is a scandal. Those look—I look—” His eyes narrowed, and he cocked his head with a brash, hostile grin. “Is this blackmail? Is this blackmail amateur hour?”
“What? No! Why would this be… Oh my god, are you cheating on someone?!”
He scowled with indignation at the very suggestion. “I would never cheat on someone. Those make me look like a… a boozy lecher. It could damage my reputation if they got out. Why do you have those?” he hissed, feigning a pleasant smile over gritted teeth. It looked like it hurt his face.
“You told me to take pictures and send them to a friend! You kept going on about ‘gathering evidence’ in case things went sideways.”
“That’s ridiculous,” he scoffed. “It is sound advice,” he considered. “That sounds like me,” he concluded, pinching his brow.
“I’ll delete them all, OK? See? I’m deleting them.” You clicked the trash button and watched them disappear one by one as Barba’s blood pressure went down. “Ooh, I’m keeping this one, though,” you said, fawning.
You flipped the screen to show him a selfie of him smiling wide and carefree, cheeks flushed, his arms wrapped around your shoulders, and you kissing his cheek. It was sweet, almost chaste. The karaoke stage was in the background, and you both looked like you were having a great night.
Present-Barba’s horrified expression didn’t soften. Your face fell. “Alright, I’m deleting this one too,” you soothed.
Your wistfulness must have tugged at his heart as you gave the picture one last look, trying to memorize the happiness you’d felt when you took it. With your finger poised over the delete button, he caught your wrist. “No… If you really like it, that one isn’t horrible. Just don’t send it to anyone in the DA’s office. Por favor.”
“I won’t,” you promised. His eyes were an overpoweringly lush green as they fixated on yours so close up, and you could swear there was a spark of the connection you’d felt that night. Then he blinked, and it was gone, self-consciously letting go of your wrist.
With that matter resolved, Barba became cold and distant, as if all he’d come to do was settle things from that night once and for all, and now he was done with you. You tried to carry the conversation forward, but he met your efforts to bond with the sober version of him with minimal, dismissive responses, leaving you in uncomfortable silence. He would barely even look at you anymore. It made you feel small.
Barba was right—you didn’t know him.
The mood was tense as you quietly chewed your croissant, and it would have been tenser if not for the cramped tables. Had you a spacious seating arrangement, you might have felt the distance between your two obviously different lives stretch out between you like a vast, insurmountable chasm.
Had you met the real Barba first, you would have known this guarded, cynical, tightly-wound ball of nerves and assholery would never sing karaoke without being three sheets to the wind.
The effortlessly charming open-book of a man you’d been wooed by two nights ago was a fiction crafted by alcohol. Without his flirtatious nature to offset the severity of his bespoke suits and high-profile job, you were weighted down with the thought that this man had his shit together more than you ever would. He was too good for you. He thought so, too. You saw that look in his eyes, the sarcastic quirk of his mouth as he glanced over you outside the cafe, though he’d tried to hide it. Your entire outfit cost about a tenth of his jacket alone, and his rich-jerk radar honed right in on it. Barba said you might not like him sober, and he seemed keen to prove himself right. When he finally did ask you questions, it felt like you were failing a test—his brow going up because you had never heard of some famous restaurant or popular composer, proving yourself a cultural dilettante in spite of your mutual love of RENT. When you asked about his job, he was all but sneering at your lack of legal acumen on what he considered very basic things.
You would have downed your latte in under fifteen minutes, shaken his hand, and never seen him again if not for one seemingly unimportant fact.
The table was cramped.
Forced to sit so close together, waves of his scent kept washing over you like an aphrodisiac. He smelled radically different than last time. Then, he was steeped in the stinging smokiness of scotch whisky and the heady musk of sweat from a long day on his feet in the courtroom and the claustrophobic press of bodies at the bar. Today he smelled clean, like fresh soap and a woody, spicy, citrusy cologne as old-fashioned and classy as his suspenders. There was something profoundly soothing in the way he smelled. Soothing enough to push back your anxiety about being unworthy of his attention, and enough to enjoy the sparks of heat spreading under your skin every time your elbows or legs bumped.
The smell of him and the press of his body was enough to make you horny, angry, and bold enough to take him by the hand once the date was done, and drag him somewhere you could teach him a lesson about underestimating you.
***
“You think you’re so much better than me, don’t you?” you growled over your shoulder, as if that was meant to be an answer to his question of “Where are we going?” He fell a step behind your determined pace as you literally pulled him down the sidewalk with a scary, but—he had to admit—sexy fire burning in your eyes.
“I never said that,” he cried unconvincingly, and felt he rather deserved it when you scoffed in response. He could be hard on people who couldn’t keep up with his standards, unless they were the victim of a horrifying enough crime to stir his compassion. And now that he was sure he hadn’t hurt you, well… you were just some woman from a bar who didn’t know the difference between civil litigation and criminal trials.
The fact that the neckline of your dress was so dangerously low, he caught a peek of something he shouldn’t when you leaned over your latte was just another reason to distance himself from you. He cursed his weakness for the tightening in his pants.
But that picture stuck in Barba’s mind. He was ashamed of his behavior, but at the same time, he was fascinated by this other Barba. The smiling Barba who didn’t make a million anxious excuses for why he couldn’t or shouldn’t be with someone he desired, who didn’t tell himself to wait, and wait, and wait until they were gone. He looked so comfortable with the woman on his lap in that picture. He wondered what exactly happened to make you grow so close?
After marching for several blocks, you finally slowed down where the geometric grey concrete of the city broke upon an oasis of wild green. Barba hunched forward, catching his breath in front of the entrance to Central Park closest to the pond. “Alright,” you challenged him with your hands on your hips, “Name one of these trees. Just one.”
“Shirley.”
You narrowed your eyes until he dropped his clever little grin.
“Worth a try,” he shrugged, straightening up. He unbuttoned his jacket to let some of the heat out. He pointed to a large tree near the path with three-pointed leaves and smooth, camouflage-patterned bark. “That’s a maple,” he said with confidence.
You raised your eyebrows at his breathtaking ignorance and tutted. “Oh, Rafael, that’s such an easy one. This is an American Sycamore, Platanus occidentalis. The bark is a dead giveaway, and maples have opposite leaf arrangement, while sycamore is alternate. But I’ll let it slide since the leaves are similar.” Your voice was dripping with intellectual condescension, and he immediately understood that you had brought him here to humiliate him. A familiar roar burned inside him that he felt any time someone thought they could get the better of him. His sharp eyes bore into yours, the slightest hint of a smile at the corner of his lips. Rafael Barba did not back down from a challenge.
He walked farther into the park, past sweeping rock formations covered with climbing children, and you followed behind, watching him as he swiveled his head in search. It was almost magical how the park felt like a trail in the countryside until you looked up to see the gleaming peaks of skyscrapers and 5th Avenue. Barba stopped next to a green park bench in front of a tall conifer with drooping branches. “Pine,” he said matter-of-factly. “I know what you’re trying to do, but even a city boy knows what a pine tree looks like.”
Except from the way your cheeks puffed out as you tried to contain your laughter, he apparently should not have sounded so sure of himself. Or you were just being vindictive, pretending he was wrong because you assumed he wouldn’t know the difference.
“That is a pine,” he insisted. “That’s basic middle school science class.”
“That is a conifer,” you corrected, still giggling at his expense, and his cheeks darkened with realization. Conifer. Pine. They were different things. He braced himself as you lectured him like a school teacher about how the Norway Spruce is in the genus Picea, while pine trees—and there was a White Pine right over there, too!—are in a totally separate genus, Pinus. When he tried to call it hair-splitting and trivia, you exploded. “You realize we live on a planet, right? All of human life on Earth couldn’t exist without forests—you literally need trees to breathe—yet you can’t identify a single one. Your furniture is made of maple, beech, oak,” you gestured to a few specimens, “but you don’t know what they look like growing in front of you. It is crazy to me how people lack even a basic understanding of the environment we can’t survive without. If we didn’t have laws, life would go on. If the whole world was paved like New York City, humanity would go extinct. So go ahead and judge me for not knowing who Puccini is when you know fuck-all about the planet.”
You had worked yourself into a lather, and all he could think was how much he wanted to kiss you. Your face was flushed, and you were so animated with passion for the subject as you laid into him—even though he knew nothing about it or even found it particularly interesting, he oddly enjoyed being torn apart by your arguments. You might make a great lawyer, if your clients were green.
“Are we even?” he smiled. “Now that you’ve judged me?”
You took a half step back and covered your mouth. “I… got a little defensive, didn’t I?” you cringed.
“Just a little,” he pinched his fingers together so they were almost touching. He stepped toward you.
“Sorry about that,” you laughed nervously. “Yeah. We’re even.”
He took another step closer, and you didn’t back away as he entered your personal space. He could feel his heart hammering behind his rib cage. Behind his over-dressed tie. His tongue darted unconsciously across his lower lip as he glanced down at that temptingly low neckline before snapping his eyes away to meet yours. He wondered if you’d noticed his glance. If you had, your reaction was not to slap him. There was a tentative hope shining in your eyes, breath catching as he stood too close to be platonic.
“So, you’re the Lorax,” he smirked.
“I do speak for the trees,” you said, glad to finally understand one of his references. “I work in conservation. Mostly management plans to control invasive species.”
He tipped his head back with a knowing “Ah,” that you were in some outdoorsy field. That explained your crunchy-granola vibe and the fact that you weren’t at all winded by speed-walking six blocks to get here. You fit in better here, surrounded by greenery, than in the city. You were some sort of forest nymph, a fae creature who had come out of the woods to seduce and enchant him, and spirit him away into the ether.
Your lips were close enough that he could capture them in one fluid motion of his neck, but he hadn’t yet, and now you were simply talking too awkwardly close together while a million excuses not to chanted in the back of his sober mind. So he reached for your hand instead.
“You know, there’s a whole field of environmental law that I am woefully rusty on…” he began. Linking arms, you chatted about your interests as you strolled through the park in the cool morning air of what would be a humid summer day.

It’s time to talk about the winter 2019 anime season. Contains: I Can’t Believe Best Girl of the Season is a Cat!, gay dragongirl goes to Hogwarts, bad isekai show number 24395: This Time Your Waifu’s Your Actual Slave and Also 12, The Title Character is Not Appearing in This Anime, esper yutapon cube generator, Anime Chicken Run, Romcom Death Note, and one (1) deaf blind mute feral samurai boy and his retainer.
Continuing from last season we have Run With the Wind, which was a very nice sports anime without the drama of trying to be the Best in the World, Ever. It was a mature, well-developed, well-paced show, and worth the watch. The last couple of episodes really cemented its storytelling, neatly wrapping up ten characters’ arcs-- that’s a feat worth calling out!
Manaria Friends was made using Cygames’ gatcha game blood money. It's the best-selling anime of this season in Japan, far outpacing shows like Mob Pyscho, because Japan is horny for Granblue Fantasy like this show is horny for Grea and her fat dragon tail. Manaria Friends exists somewhere on the border between Little Witch Academia and Monster Musume. It's also extremely gay. I watched it because shut up
My Roommate is a Cat has the distinction of being the only anime to make me cry every episode. Is is an especially sad anime? No. I just love cats a lot. It’s not even a particularly GOOD anime-- the production values are a bit lacking it and it really does nothing exemplary in its animation or story. But watching Subaru become a real fucking person, drawn out of his depressive funk by this spunky little kitten who just wants to keep him alive and fed, was so charming that the fact that this show has very little polish almost didn’t matter. just the OP was enough to make me watery-eyed, so maybe I’m just weak.
Rising of a Shield Hero is bad, bad, bad, full stop. Its politics are misogynistic and its storytelling is convenient and edgy for the sake of being edgy. It’s like the success of Re:Zero tricked everyone into thinking that Dark Isekai shows are what the world wants, but like Madoka gave precedence to the wave of Dark Magical Girl shows, nothing is as good as the first and making more just oversaturates the genre unnecessarily. This show did one thing right and that’s Raphtalia and even she’s a 12 year old slave raccoon kemonomimi so that’s like 4 horrible buzzwords in a row that I cannot forgive this show for.
Mob Psycho is Mob Psycho, I really have nothing to say about this that other people haven’t. I wish that I loved this show as much as everyone else seems to. A good run! I just don’t feel passionate about it. Do your funky thing, studio Bones.
Boogiepop and Others was a really fun ride, a strange and mysterious puzzle of a show that demanded you think really hard to piece it together. It’s a challenging watch but one that I thought was also very rewarding. Perhaps best binged and not watched weekly, as I did struggle to remember faces and roles in a show where character design was not the most varied and everyone has an alternate identity. It’s really interesting to see this light novel adaptation that inspired all other light novels-- you can really see its fingerprints in things like Baccano and Durarara and Monogatari, so even for that reason alone I think it’s worth the watch.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War had been hyped up to me by the manga community for some time and at its premise I had sort of written it off as another Takagi-san or similar unlikable romcom. Turns out this show has a lot more heart and treats its characters with far more compassion than I initially thought. It has a smart and snappy aesthetic and you end up cheering for the characters quickly enough no matter how opposed you are at the outset. Some really exceptional gags and Kaguya herself had a surprisingly moving serious character arc. Um, also? That banger of a Bond OP? Fucking funky as hell
I’m a manga reader and I was excited as hell to see The Promised Neverland get an adaptation. I was not let down-- the anime recreated the suspenseful rollercoaster ride that all manga readers strapped them in for! I could not be happier with the good they’ve done and the power they’ve given Phil. I am so glad we already have a season 2 to look forward to!
my AOTS is Dororo because I cared so much. Dororo was not the most technically impressive show this season, or the one with the most WOW moments or even the most anticipated, but goddamn if it didn’t win me over immediately. Some shows just push all your buttons at once and uhhh “two orphan children left to die on their own come together in order to survive” is it. I’ve said it elsewhere but I really love studio MAPPA’s changes to the source material; it puts a new coat of paint on this Tezuka series and refreshes it in all the right ways. Without Hyakkimaru’s magical Mind Telepathy, the relationship between him and Dororo has this mutual vulnerability in a way that wasn’t present in the original and it’s incredibly charming and endearing. Also best OP of the season, Party is Over

Rum Arc Discussion Series: Higashio Maria
Higashio Maria is a kansai transfer student in Teitan Elementary that was introduced during Kir arc (File 548-549), and was recently reintroduced in Rum arc (File 1006-1008). I will be discussing this suspicion, that I’ve held since her reintro, about how she could be Asaka. Previous Discussion Topic (Iori Muga):
https://masterdetectivexx.tumblr.com/post/157524917964/rum-arc-discussion-thread-plot-characters
Asaka’s disappearance
Asaka’s disappearance is very suspicious, since she was last seen with Amanda, who was killed later that day, and was perceived as her bodyguard. Rum was able to successfully kill Amanda with the APTX4869 prototype drug (made by the Miyano parents) and cover it up as if nothing happened, according to the Black Organization’s M.O (as seen with how clean and tidy her room looked 17 years ago, in contrast to Kohji’s messy room, File 948). Despite being a female figure guarding Amanda the last time she was seen, Asaka was somehow still missing from the crime scene and not found dead along with Amanda (after failing to hinder Rum’s plans). As I’ve suggested in previous discussions, Asaka’s disappearance could be because she was drugged by Rum along with Amanda 17 years ago, but instead of dying, she actually shrank like Conan and fled (which would explain why she is missing). “Asaka taking the same drug as him” was a possibility that Conan also considered during his first speculation of Asaka’s identity (File 953), so there’s a good chance that Gosho was foreshadowing what had happened to Asaka.
In File 948, Haibara explained that she tried to recreate her parents’ APTX4869 with their remaining data (even though the BO wanted her to make something else that wasn’t a poison), meaning that her APTX4869 prototype, which shrinks as a side effect, originated from her parents’ APTX4869 model.
In File 1025, Gosho further clarifies Haibara’s statement by having her directly monologue that her parents created the same drug that shrank her and Shinichi, meaning that according to her, the shrinking side effect definitely originated from her parents’ APTX4869 prototype.
This information further underlines the possibility that the 17-year-old prototype could also shrink people as a side-effect in rare occasions, which in turn could easily explain how Asaka was able to disappear from the crime scene despite being in a position that should have made her someone Rum got rid of in the process of successfully killing Amanda.
Foreshadowing to Asaka’s identity
What we know about Asaka is very limited, but the info that we do have suggest a connection between Asaka and Kohji. In File 948, when Conan read about the hand-mirror, Haibara explained that it was a popular hand-mirror and that her sister had one of them which she inherited from their mother, and later suggested that Kohji might’ve inherited the hand-mirror from his mother as well. However, we later find out in file 953 that Asaka was seen holding that same hand-mirror. This immediately suggest that the hand-mirror was passed on from Asaka to Kohji, implying that they were familiar with each other to that extent. If you take Haibara’s correlation to Kohji about “sister inheriting mirror from mother”, it’s possible that Gosho was using Haibara’s story to foreshadow that just like Haibara’s sister, Asaka inherited the hand-mirror from her mother.
In other words, Kohji borrowed Asaka’s hand-mirror in order to prepare for his meeting with Amanda, and Asaka later leaves with Amanda to act as her bodyguard. Going back to Conan’s first suspicion of Asaka, he suspected that Asaka took the same drug as him and that Mary would be the prime suspect. This is something Conan also did in regards to Rum’s identity, where according to his first suspicion, Yamato Kansuke came the closest to the descriptions of Rum (File 913).
Iori Muga, who I deduced could be Rum, fits with Kansuke’s characteristics. They are both considered effeminate men (both have long curly dark hair), a strong build, Kansuke’s left eye is damaged while Rum’s left eye is foreshadowed to be a prosthetic (Higo plushie “left eye coming off” reference, File 999) and Muga’s left lense consistently reflected like Rumi’s suspected blind right side (File 981-982), and if Muga is hiding 5 years from his age like Satami Saya (File 920), then he would be the same age as Kansuke. If Kansuke is a Rum model that shares direct similarities to Rum, then the likelihood that Mary was utilized as an Asaka model is very high.
The one who shares the most characteristical similarities with Mary, and thus could be Asaka, is the latest transfer student Higashio Maria. Mary and Maria have pretty much the same name. “Maria” is the latin form of “Mary”. Gosho even went as far as to have Ogura mistake Mary’s name for “Mari-chan” (File 928-930), which could have been intentional on his part in order to emphasize the similarity to “Maria-chan”.
Both Mary and Maria are also light-haired kids and are hinted at being half-japanese. Mary’s sister Elena is confirmed to be half-japanese (File 1011), and Maria has the english influence, to the point that her grandma called the toy “bird-chan” (File 1007).
Asaka was also compared to Ran (File 954), which also could be Gosho’s hint to that Asaka is in reality a normal 17-year-old girl who was mistaken as a “personal SP”/official bodyguard for Amanda, due to her skills. If Maria is shrunken adult Asaka, then the comparison to Ran would make sense too, since she has a sweet personality like her that is very subverted from everyone’s expectations of “the bodyguard Asaka”/“a weird person”(as Ran put it), despite her similar qualities.
In other words, 17-year-old Maria came along with Haneda Kohji to the US in order to watch him play in the chess tournament. Her black hair colour in the Asaka photo would be as a result of her dying her hair black, like how Gosho seeded that concept in with Takashi during department store case (File 941).
And after she got drugged by Rum and shrank, she changed her one-tail hairstyle (as seen in the photo) to her current twin-tail hair style, just like how that concept was seeded in with Isuzu from secret cafe case (File 994), in order to not get easily recognized.
If Maria shrank as Asaka 17 years ago, then the true purpose it would have would mainly be to answer the question regarding Conan’s and Haibara’s aging state, and that answer would be that they can’t age like Vermouth, since Maria is still a 7-year-old, because, as mentioned above, the drug they were affected by is a recreated version of the one Asaka would have been drugged by (and is very likely to have the same effect). If Maria has been a child for 17 years then her parents would be much older and the parents that she is currently said to have (File 1006) would have to be fake/stand-in parents.
Going back to the idea that Asaka inherited the hand-mirror from her mother, there’s another detail about Maria that fits with this interpretation. In File 1006, Maria’s grandma gave her the advice “it’s important for a girl to watch over her appearance”, which is very consistent with someone who would pass down a hand-mirror. This could be a small clue to that Maria’s grandma is actually her mother. In other words, those cherished memories in her reintro case was actually her with her real parents.
Wakasa Rumi’s True identity (Link to summary)
Wakasa Rumi’s target
Gosho has a tendency to foreshadow the introduction of new plot elements by hinting at it just before it happens. in this case, just before Higashio Maria was reintroduced, the previous chapter had a cliffhanger with Wakasa Rumi staring at the APTX4869 victim list (File 1005).
This could be Gosho’s introduction foreshadowing to that Higashio Maria is that very target Rumi is after, Asaka (who potentially got drugged 17 years ago). In fact, both of Maria’s reappearances in Rum arc consistently followed Rumi’s appearance, as if she could be tied with her in the ongoing plot (File 966 & 1006).
Following my deduction regarding Rumi’s identity being Vermouth, this would automatically fill in the holes regarding Rumi’s APTX victim interest, since Vermouth has personal motivations for keeping the shrinking effect hidden. If the BO dismissed Asaka as dead, despite her missing corpse, someone like Vermouth, who knows about the shrinking effect’s existence would suspect that Asaka is alive. Rumi’s goal in Teitan Elementary could therefore be to not only investigate Haibara’s neighbor in the Kudo mansion (Subaru), but also investigate Asaka’s disappearance. Her disguising as a potential Asaka, carrying Kohji-case-related objects and using a dying-message-derived name (“wACASA RUMi”) could be a grand scheme in order to use Conan’s help in locating Asaka, who ends up being the newest transfer student in class 1B after Haibara.
Maria’s Personality
Maria’s personality is very child-like and innocent, and ever since her intro in File 548, she never showed any signs of having an adult mind (more than likely because even if she happens to be Asaka, she was probably not initially conceived as another APTX victim). How Gosho could handle such a plot move, where a seemingly normal older character enters the plot, is maybe by playing the amnesia card, meaning that Maria suffered memory loss as a result of a post-traumatic stress from the Kohji case. In which case, Maria-chan may have lived those 17 years with her “grandparents” in the Kansai area as if she was a “normal” child.
Summary: - Asaka was drugged by Rum along with Amanda 17 years ago, but shrank and fled. - Asaka lent her hand-mirror to Haneda Kohji, which she might’ve inherited from her mother. - Asaka could be Higashio Maria. - Wakasa Rumi is Vermouth in disguise and is investigating Asaka’s potential shrinking.

Computer Game Console
This one's a little out-of-date ... it was rather big in the past luxury video games came to be so "mobile" and also mobile. You're probably much better off just obtaining a Nintendo Switch over, however back then you were king of the car park if you had a video gaming system in your cars and truck.

One more method to modify the color of your headlights is with headlight movie. They can be used to both safeguard your fronts lights as well as include a remarkable tint to your front lights's shade.

UPDATE
Three more characters have joined the team! I’ve added Knuckles, Mighty, and Ray to have Magical Girl Sequences. Now everyone can have their own Chaos Emerald
Also, changed some of the anime choices for each character. Completely changed all their sequences so the last post is 100% inaccurate.
Sonic; Red Emerald “Power”, Sailor moon “Sailor Moon’s Transformation”
Shadow; Green Emerald “Nature”, Panty n Stocking w/GarterBelt/Kill La Kill “Panty Anarchy’s Transformation/Ryuuko Matoi’s Transformation”
Silver; Blue Emerald “Cosmos”, Magia Record “Rena Minami’s Transformation”
Tails; White Emerald “Wish”, Wish upon a Pleiades “Subaru’s Transformation”
Knuckles; Cyan Emerald “Spirit”, Phantom Thief Jeanne “Kaito Jeanne’s Transformation”
Ray; Yellow Emerald “Light”, Ojamajo Doremi “Momoko Asuka’s Transformation”
Mighty; Purple Emerald “Emotion”, Yuna Yuki is a Hero “Yuna Yuki’s Transformation”
I didn’t come up with the Emerald’s names, that goes to MintStarMari on DeviantArt, they drew a wonderful Figure Sheet of the Chaos Emeralds. Gave a lengthy explanation on their reasons why they’re named that way and gave them special abilities to each one.
I’ll go more over them when I actually finish those WIPs, just wanted to get this down so my mind can progress. I’m also excited about these drawings, they’re so cute! I love Mighty’s<3
You can already see Sonic is finished, I’m happy about that on too
Storyboards of Characters doing the Super Transformation in Magical Girl Style
I’ll animate this in the future,,, don’t know how it’ll end up since a lot of the magic is from the music n sound effects and I’m not gonna edit audio
pfffskggbe- I honestly got this idea from listening to Simple n Clean by Utada Hikaru
Sonic’s first of course
Originally he was gonna duo with Shads cause they’re a very popular coup-Combat duo
Sonic would be Panty n Shadow would be Stocking, they have that,,, sun n moon dynamic but I scrapped it
I took inspiration from Sailor Moon, they’re both very dear n close to my heart (´⌣`ʃƪ)
Shadow my favorite
I thought of shadow’s first
what can I say hes got the magical girl vibe!
Maria totally showed him MG anime
I took from Panty and Stocking, I really like this anime. First I wanted Kill La Kill but that was based more around clothes then Items so ┐(´∀`)┌
Plus Panty and Shadow both use firearms
Precious Silver
I actually haven’t watched Hyperdimension Neptunia but Neptune’s sequence fit Silver so well
I was gonna use Sailor Moon for Silver mostly cause his long quills haha
Also I keep associating him with being from the past?? I donno why
Innocent Tails
Another anime I haven’t watched, but it looks so sweet I’ll find it somewhere ^^
I based his sequence off of Ojamajo Doremi
His was actually the hardest to figure out, the others have their own “calling” the emeralds but I wasn’t sure how clapping could fit it???
I’ll probably experiment more with his
I gave him the same start as Sonic,,, since he kinda learns from him?
#also thinking of doing sequences for the girlies#but that’s future stuff#after I’m done with these bois#sonic#shadow#silver#tails#knuckles#ray the flying squirrel#Mighty#mighty the armadillo#update#Magical girl#WIP#WIPs#process wip#sailor moon#panty and stocking#magia record#wish upon the pleiades#phantom thief jeanne#ojamajo doremi#Yuna yuki is a hero#sonic fanart

Little Blue Subaru
by Duncan Jones While driving on a sunny day Toward the towering mountain range The road climbed ever higher And the weather began to change But I kept my pace, and I held my place On the highway moving fast My four by four was strolling And man I flew right past Right past, right past And man I flew right past! Then the clouds rolled in and darkened And the mountain shadows grew And at that time appeared right behind me A little blue Subaru I thought, "Good luck, buddy I've got a truck And you'll not keep up with me" But the little blue Subaru flashed his lights As if to say, "We'll see ..." We'll see, we'll see As if to say, "We'll see ..." Soon the turns began to tighten And the rain began to fall And the traffic began lighten And the big rigs started to stall So the wipers slashed, and my giant tires splashed And the lanes became hard to find But the little blue Subaru didn't miss a beat The whole time right behind Behind, behind The whole time right behind Then it began to sleet and ice I let my V8 roar Determined that I'd not play nice My pedal hit the floor And I knew shouldn't care, but I thought it wasn't fair Just a part of me had to win But the little blue Subaru stayed on my tail No, I coudn't get rid of him Of him, of him I couldn't get rid of him Then the road turned white, it was snowing more And I had to let up a bit For a wagon to pass my four by four Would make me throw a fit He paid under thirty grand, and I didn't understand How this guy was still hanging on Just a little blue Subaru, not a Range Rover Tacoma, or Rubicon Just a little blue Subaru, not a Range Rover Tacoma, or Rubicon Finally we were passing no one else Were the only lights in sight Hesitating now, I tamed myself In the cold, dark, winter night So I signaled, slowed, on the iced mountain road Grew up, and swallowed my pride And the little blue Subaru, calm as ever Passed right along my side My side, my side Passed right along my side For a moment we were even Then the Subaru took the lead And as if to simply rub it in She was quite polite, indeed Passing by without a beep, because her family was asleep But she waved with words, "Thank you!" Now I'm a great V8 with a cool tailgate behind A little blue Subaru I'm a great V8 with a cool tailgate behind A little blue Subaru

Masterlist
“Watch where you’re going,” a shrill voice said.
“Sorry,” you said. You accidentally bumped into someone again, this time it was a tall, slender and beautiful woman, snooty though. Way to make you more intimidated than usual.
You were wearing casual pants, an oversized plain white shirt, and your favourite pink cap. You weren’t that tall to begin with, and you were only wearing your flats, making you seem a lot shorter than all the other girls who are strutting in their high heeled stilettos. You were definitely out of your comfort zone as your eyes dart from one place to another. It was the dead of night, and you weren’t in a “nice neighbourhood.” It was noisy; it was full of people laughing and drinking soju with cars all around. They were all either going to participate or watch the last drag race of the night.
You were only there to watch your best friend. She was one of the last race’s players, while the other guy is someone named Jungkook. You have never seen him, but you’ve heard his name a million times because of your friend. He’s supposed to be a racing god. He’s hot and an absolute player, but he knows how to drive a car. Your friend said that tonight’s game was going to be history because no woman has ever gone through to the finals to challenge “the King,” which she apparently has done.
You being the ‘supportive’ best friend that you are went to watch her race, despite you not liking your friend’s hobby because of the risks involved. You were making yourself seem smaller than you already are because people are looking at you. They haven’t seen you around so they know that you’re new. Plus, the fact that you look like a middle schooler in your clothes than a bad girl persona was a dead giveaway.
You were looking around for your best friend when your eyes spotted Jimin. He was in one of your classes, and you know him because he was your seatmate for a whole semester. He wasn’t all that bad, despite the badass façade and player life, he was a pretty decent person. He has this mysterious quiet aura around him that attracted you when you didn’t know the other side of him, but his playful persona made you see him as more of a friend or a brother than a love interest. You guys became pretty close, and even though you aren’t in the same class anymore, he still catches up with you from time to time.
“Y/N!” Jimin shouted as he spotted you, and waved his arms up in the air in greeting. You blushed a deep shade of red as you waved your hands back because everyone’s looking at your exchange. You weren’t exactly sure about his involvement in drag racing, but you know that he’s seen as one of the “alphas” of drag racing around here. He motioned for you to come to where he was sitting, and when you walked towards him, you saw that he has both arms around two women.
Typical of Jimin.
You first didn’t realize that they weren’t alone, but you saw them when you went closer. It was another guy who had both his arms around two women. You went closer and blushed deeper because the other guy was looking at you, even though he was originally sweet talking the two women in his arms. He was hot, you got to admit. No, ‘beautiful’ is the word to describe him. He has soft-looking dark brown hair that almost covers his almond shaped chocolate brown eyes, a straight nose and pink Cupid’s bow lips. You bowed your head as you inched closer, and you saw that the beautiful guy pushed the other two women out of the pedestal they were sitting in, so it was left with Jimin and his girls, and him.
You don’t know what to make of his actions, but you decided to calm your heart and not assume. After all, compared to those girls, you think you can’t beat them aesthetically. To Jungkook though, you were a breath of fresh air and innocence in his cold and cracked world. Immediately, he knew you were different from all his past lovers.
Jimin walked down from the pedestal and engulfed you in a tight hug when he was in front of you. You can’t help but chuckle a bit at his goofiness and the glares directed to you by the females he left in the pedestal.
“Y/N, I missed you. What in hell are you doing here?” Jimin said as soon as he released you.
“Hey Jimin, I missed you too. My best friend is racing; she guilt-tripped me into watching,” you said as you smiled softly. You can’t help but be self-conscious, and put your hands down your jean pockets as you continued to attract attention because of Jimin.
“Jungkook, don’t be rude and come meet Y/N,” Jimin suddenly shouted to the other guy in the pedestal.
Oh no.
He’s the one Y/F/N is racing against.
Damn, he’s hot.
“Hi, um, I’m Y/N,” you introduced yourself in an awkward manner to Jungkook when he was in your vicinity.
“Hi, I’m Jungkook,” he said while caressing the back of his neck. You know people do that when they’re uncomfortable, or feeling awkward so you don’t know what to make of it. Is he uncomfortable because he’s being forced by Jimin to talk to you, or otherwise?
“Jungkook, this is Y/N, my girlfriend,” you suddenly hear Jimin say as he puts an arm around your shoulder. You immediately looked at him in dismissal as you are used to his antics, but he was smirking at Jungkook.
“Girl, space, friend. Relax,” Jimin suddenly said and he laughed. Jungkook glared at him. You were right at knowing what he was about to say next, but you feel so lost at their silent conversation that you decided to just not ask about what happened.
You shouted and grabbed Jimin as you got startled when you heard a loud ‘boo’ followed by the feeling of arms going to your side. You looked at where it came from, only to see Y/F/N laughing as she hit her knees from all that amusement.
“Ha ha, funny. I’m never going to come into these types of events of yours in the future ever again if you keep it up,” you said as you glared at her. Jungkook and Jimin just stared at you and your friend’s exchange.
“Come on, Y/N, lighten up. Jimin, if you will excuse us, I will now take my friend to our corner,” Y/F/N said as she held your hand to pull you away from them.
“Tsk, but I do mind,” Jimin suddenly said, back in his misdemeanour.
“The race is going to start in a bit, so I’m bringing her to my corner. Jungkook, see you in a bit,” Y/F/N said challengingly. You don’t know where she gets her bravado, but you applause her for that.
“What’s your risk?” Jungkook suddenly said, as he crossed his arms, and mussed his hair.
“Anything, and I demand the same in return,” Y/F/N said.
“Deal,” Jungkook said, and they shook hands.
Your friend was in a matte pink 2014 Nissan GT-R while Jungkook was in a black Subaru WRX STI. You weren’t into racing, so you just let them start away. You rode with Jimin, in his red top down Mazda MX-5 Miata, to follow the racers into the finish line. You all took a different road so you’d be there by the end of the race, and see who wins.
5 minutes after you all reached the finish line, you see both cars approaching. It was a tight match; nobody could really say who was to win. Both cars were slightly illuminated in a blue light, they pressed their nitro to go faster. You don’t know if anything else has been altered in both cars, minus the nitro. Supposedly, the Nissan GT-R of your friend’s is faster than Jungkook’s STI, but you never know. Racers usually alter things in their cars. Finally, they both pass by the finish line, and drifted to a stop. You didn’t see who won, but you didn’t need to ask.
The people were going crazy, and chanting “King,” in different vocal levels. You understood then that your friend lost, and Jungkook won.
Everyone crowded around their cars, and soon they went out to meet in the middle. You weren’t in the least bit disappointed with your friend because it’s hard to race, you aren’t even that good of a driver yet, but she was able to contend against the best in your block.
“So what do you want?” Y/F/N asked Jungkook, once they were within hearing distance.
“Her,” Jungkook said, as he pointed at you with his eyes.
“No way, Jose. The deal was ‘anything,’ not ‘anyone.’ You don’t get to change the deal after we shook upon it,” Y/F/N said with an attitude as she motioned you with her hand to run.
“I think Y/F/N is telling you to run, but he’ll just catch you easily because he has a car. Here, take my car, move slowly out while she’s distracting him,” Jimin whispered at you while looking at Y/F/N and Jungkook as they banter and kind of have a staring contest. You look at Jimin in confusion because he’s Jungkook’s friend, but he saw the way you looked at him from his peripheral and said, “Trust me, he’s a Virgo. He’ll appreciate the challenge.”
You laughed and took his keys from his hand. You didn’t realize he knew a thing or two about Zodiacs. You opened the engine of the MX-5, put the car in reverse, and got out of the scene unscathed. It was a good thing that Jimin’s car is automatic, or you would have been stuck like a turtle in land.
You were in the freeway, almost near the place where the race started when you heard the sound of a car revving. You pressed the gas to go from 100 to 120 kmph because that could only be Jungkook. You went faster not because you were really running from him, but because you knew he’ll block your way, and that’s kind of impossible in the small freeway.
You looked at the rear view mirror, and saw that Jungkook’s STI is already at your tail. You slowed down at the place where the race started, and the STI overtook your car and blocked your front, forcing you to stop.
Jungkook went out of his car, when it started to heavily rain, and you pushed a button in Jimin’s car for the roof to go up and cover the interior of the MX-5. You still kind of got wet though. Jungkook opened the door of the MX-5, and you stepped out.
You were immediately drenched by the rain, just like Jungkook. You were both silently looking at one another, and you decided to break the silence.
“Hi,” you muttered.
He smiled.
