One of my favorite Punk stories is how he broke his skull in the ring but kept wrestling for another ten minutes and then walked backstage and collapsed and couldn't see but told everyone he was fine, just needed to lie down on the floor for a bit. When he started vomiting people realized he wasn't fine and C*lt brought him to the hospital where Punk tried to valiantly refuse painkillers by physically fighting the doctor but was too fucked up to even be a threat. And then, when he checked out of the hospital, he flushed the pain killers they gave him down the toilet and was subsequently in the worst pain of his life on the flight back home, and spent like two weeks in a pain haze at his sister's place, who by the way at one point found him passed out in the hallway, seemingly having tried to put on his shoes to go somewhere. And then he returned to the ring two months later.
